The little girl looked up and said “hello puppy…are you here to help us? His hurt really bad. He tried to save me…and now his hurt so badly…”

Vale nodded and leaned back. “I was upset…after the war ended and Dante decided to go off with Ana…I wanted us to go home and rebuild…I didn’t think I’d have to do it alone. But now that I’ve seen how much his grown…maybe this was a needed fate for him…”

The crying got louder as she went and soon she found a young man chained to the wall unconscious and a little girl crying next to him. And the bigger shock was…she was human. The young man was beaten badly. Bleeding.

The guy looks at him then does a double take. “What the heck? That thing is real?! Not one of your tricks?!” Ash blinked and said “tricks? What the heck did your client say I did?”

The men all pulled guns out and aimed them and Ash sighed. “Great…this is not my day…I’m not out of the clinic an hour and I’m getting jumped again…”

Vale sighed and said “sorry about him…very old school and does not trust outsiders. I won’t let anyone act against Ana after all she’s done for my brother…”

When the door was open they could hear faint crying. Deeper into the tunnel. And the fresh scent of blood.

Three men walked into the alleyway and the tallest in the front chuckled. “Seems we weren’t stealthily enough boys. The little lady knew we were tailing her.”

Ash raised her pistol and said “I always sense when a threat is nearby. If it has a pulse I can feel it” the man smirked and said “you’re a hard girl to find…harder to pin down…we have a client who needs a word with ya…”

Ash nodded and ducked under a tall cart and said softly “Mina, battle ready” the ferret chirped again and her eyes glowed gold. Ash moved into the alleyway and turned on her wrist band and reached to get her pistol on her hip.

Then she waited for their tail to appear.
