Every few months I stop by here "just because". I've been doing so for like a decade. However, every once in awhile something really GRABS me and I stay for awhile. I live for those moments xD.

The og X-Men: The New Era turns 10 years old soon! I can’t believe how many amazing people I have met thanks to this RP, or the multiverse that has spawned from it since then. I love you all so much!

@rush99999 Fair point.

Your idea is far superior to any idea I could come up with. I concede my dibs.

That's straight up class! Good man. If I was the Game Master of life I would throw an extra million bucks your way lol!
Man, I did have an idea but then I lost the dibs lol. My supermutant idea is a mutant who named himself Grognak after breaking off from his gang. He retained enough intelligence to still be able to read and enjoyed reading Grognak comics which got him booted out of his gang. Now he tries to emulate Grognak since he sees Grognak as the strongest human there is and if he goes down the same path he’ll be the strongest there is.

That’s the only idea I have at the moment but I’ll try to come up with some others.

That's good shit...
@rush99999 Humans, Ghouls, Robots / Synths, & Supermutants are allowed. However, I'd prefer Supermutant PCs to be rare for obvious reasons lol.
@PapaOso welcome back! Remind me to tell you the story of the last haemokinetic named Sebastian that Aya encountered...

Whoa is this a real thing lol???? What are the odds?
I'm definitely still looking :).

I know that you don't have access to the character sheet and stuff yet, but I'm wondering if you guys have character concepts in mind? If so I'd love to discuss them.
Much love Red 😊

I have developed a Fallout System using the guts of D&D 5e. I call it Raiders & Radroaches. It is fast, simple, and I think it would work great for a Play by Post TTRPG. I have a setting in mind for a Fallout Campaign and want to see if there might be any interest.

The game I'm looking to run will be more focused on character driven arcs and storytelling than pure combat and powering up. There will be survival aspects (as any good Post-Apocalyptic game should have), very mature themes (so I'm only accepting 18+), and despite the game being developed with the guts of D&D the characters will never be Gods among men. Characters are mortal. Death, disease, and dismemberment are legitimate threats. So please don't waste your time or mine if you are looking for a power fantasy or a murder hobo style game.

I am looking to facilitate a group that tells intriguing stories, develops realistic characters / relationships, and that understands that even though the Fallout universe can be whacky from time to time...this game is going to present itself as a serious story of survival in an open world that will focus on what it means to live in a harsh, post-apocalypse.

If you are interested in committing to a game that respects characters with depth, have a willingness to tell stories that do not shy away from mature themes and real relationships (romantic or otherwise), and are open to parts of the story being dictated by the roll of a dice...please head over the the main Interest Check to post your interest.

I understand that there may be some concern with Blood Manipulation as a power. It’s a lot like Una’s powers in that there can be these big, dramatic bursts of power when it’s right for the story, but otherwise the power is trivial. The wonderful thing about collaborative storytelling is that it's easy to communicate when it is or isn't okay to use your powers in certain ways. His powers would never be used at all without explicit consent from my scene partners or the GM if it's in combat or something like that. There wouldn't be a risk of being OP because the luxury of a play by post game is that you can easily avoid that with communication.

I have experienced numerous situations where players abused their powers (usually not on purpose). It’s definitely something to be cautious about. The beauty of all of this is that it is so easily avoided, and even if someone abuses a power or goes overboard there is this little thing called the edit button that fixes the problem every time.

In collaborative storytelling characters should only be OP when it’s right for the story. On the flip side there are times when they don’t have enough control over their powers to even activate them…but only when it’s right for the story. If you follow that guideline (doing what’s best for the story), and have the decency to seek consent from your fellow storytellers as to when those moments are and aren’t appropriate you literally cannot run into problems. Where people run into issues is when they forget that it’s not just THEIR game. This story is told by all of us and when we are mature enough to be aware of that (which we are) then it really doesn’t matter what the powers in play are…it only matters how we utilize them to tell the story.
Awesome! I'm glad to see you show interest. What kind of experience do you have with D&D? What kinds of things do you love about the Fallout universe?
