Bio

I'm Randomness. I also go by others names when it's unavailable, but those are usually some variation of Randomness or Random in general.

I like anime, video games, and science. I'm currently in school studying to become an radiologic technologist. I'm in the initial stages, so I'm on my way. My favorite anime is Eureka Seven, and my favorite video game is a tie between Kingdom Hearts and Etrian Odyssey.

I have several story ideas, but currently lack motivation to write them out. I have plenty of notes for some of them so when I finally get around I'm prepared. That said, I absolutely enjoy group story telling like you do through role playing. One of my interests involved is world building and the connections between them if any.

One of my characters travels between worlds, dimensions and universes. What these are meant to be are different RPs. There seems to be some taboo around such a character, but I feel that is should be judged on a case by case basis. The idea of a seasoned character who has been on many adventures being able to share stories in passing sounds like a fun idea. I thought it would be an interesting idea that those stories could be from other RPs. He isn't meant to highjack the current RP, or be over powered. I admit, I can see that concern. Really though, he is meant to be an eccentric character with stories and treasures not before seen. The effects of these stories are meant to be entertaining, like fairy tales to the current cast. And what treasures he has or can use I'd restrict to what makes sense in the current world. But like I said before, it should be case by case. A learner, and a story teller. I think it's fun to link concept together through this character so the story could live on in new ways and perhaps give new RPs a different kind of character. Without upending everything of course.

I'm interested in joining but I have a question.

Question: Of what nature can the six otherworldly characters be? Like do their origins have to within the the same universe as Nova Terra, or can it be across alternate universes, dimensions, planes of existence, and/or times?
I'm interested. Are there anything we should avoid when it comes to summons? Like certain powers, themes or designs?
Well it was fun while it lasted. As short as it was.
Are we still good to continue?
Not too long I hope.

@chocomog333 So, uh, what does Siofra look like?
As Vella dragged Jorgle away to who knows where, Emi looked at the stack of paper that was handed to her. It was twice as wide as she was and more so as tall. However, they were still sheets of parchment, so she was able to hold them just fine without them weighing her down. Even so, the size of them made it hard to wave good bye, so she just settled with shouting thanks.

After Jorgle was out of site along with many of the other staff members, Emi fluttered down to one of the now empty stone seats and laid the pages out in front of her. Mimi flew off to the various plants, perhaps looking for some nectar to sip. She sat cross-legged on the grass that grew over the stone.

“So this is the map, and that means we’re here…” she spoke softly to herself looking over the papers, within them she found her room number, class schedule, and various other useful information, such as what the other buildings were designated. There was also a list of various staff members and offices.

“Alright!” she shouted at nothing in particular. Gathering the papers back up as best she could, she grabbed them by the edge and took off. The papers caught the air by her sudden movement and they were dragged out of her grip and scattered back down to the ground. Emi stopped to look back down at them, “I’m going to need to do something about that.”

Emi went back and gathered her parchment once again, and took off more carefully this time. Mimi rejoined her as she flew up and over the main building through the open ceiling. She wasn’t able to stay up there long because the wind kept using the paper as a sail and pushing her around. So by necessity she flew back into the main hallway through a window and flew over the various students heads.

Emi was aware of various forest creatures, so druids and various beastfolk were not new to her. To them, it looked like a small stack of paper flying over their heads followed by a hummingbird, but to Emi she could see more of the subtle characteristics everyone had. Upon entering the dorm building, she passed by two curious gentlemen heading south, one of which sparked with electricity, a phenomenon she only saw during bad storms. Her attention quickly changed as she bypassed everyone up the stairs until she reached her room. The door was already open, so Emi just flew right in and plopped down on the first surface she saw, a desk housing a cauldron and some books.

Emi took a couple deep breaths, wrestling with paper sails to go where she needed was not the easiest task to complete, but she had managed. She quickly fixed the paper so it was more in a neat pile next to her she looked around the room. While nowhere near as large as the amphitheater, the room was huge compared to Emi’s small size.

“Wooooow,” She said quietly before taking to the air again. “This is amazing.” Everything about this academy was different that what she was used to at home. Instead of fairy sized rooms, with fairy sized furniture built into a tree, this room was made of stone, covered by stone, and structured with wood. Usually she saw stone be split by trees, but here, it was the other way around. She guessed that gentle giant beings needs to make things more suitable for them. On another desk there was a small bundle of belongings, Emi’s belongings. She flew to them and looked through to make sure she had everything. There was also a small flower brush, with barely any branches, a decent perch for Mimi. Next to them was a large package made of various plant materials, written at the top said “For Emi”.

She opened the package and inside she found an outfit, much large than she was. Her family had the foresight that perhaps a school that houses several beings who more often than not will be much larger than Emi, they would be a tad less accommodating for her smaller size. Not out of malice, of course, but by lack of necessity. So with the new outfit, she would be able to use some of her own magic to increase her height. She couldn’t make herself a giant by any means, but she could at least be at a size where she could handle class materials without struggling.

When she was done going over her things, she took another look around the room, where she spotted the other person already here. She looked human, but with all the new faces around, she was not sure. Perhaps she was hiding elf ears behind her hair. Quickly darting up her, hovering inches from her face, Emi started speaking excitedly.

“Hi! Are you my roommate? What’s your name? My name is Emi, nice to meet you!” Emi flew around in circle as she spoke, still facing her new friend, Siofra. “It’s so exciting to be here isn’t it? Learning to help others, it’s such a great idea! So what are you studying? I was not sure myself, so I went with elemental magic, but maybe I’ll find something that really catches my attention. Wait, is that my bed?!” Before Siofra could properly answer any of the questions, she flew to the bed that sat in the middle of the others, purposefully crash-landing into the mattress.

Emi initially flinched when Vella turned to address her. Those long ears were definitely more than just for show. For the moment she forgot what she was saying until Jorgle spoke up. Realizing that she was silent she lowered herself to be eye level with Jorgle.

“I didn’t get any of the paperwork. I sorta didn’t know there was any until after the ceremony.” Said Emi shyly, “I flew over the wall.” She took a quick glance at Vella who no doubt in one way or another thought the situation disgraceful. Looking back at Jorgle, she smiled and did a little curtsy.

“I’m Emi, er, Emiimmi, but everyone calls me Emi. It’s so exciting to be attending this academy. I’ve heard lots from the people who come from here.” She said aflutter. Emi knew about the large building east, she and Mimi flew right past it as they traveled over the academy. She also saw other sorts of buildings, some with courtyards, others with water features, some even sparked at various locations. Nonetheless, she also thanked him for the information.

“So yeah, I just need some of those papers, please. You said they had info on the academy, right? Like a map and schedule?”

@chocomog333Sure, sounds good. Given their individual personalities, I can see some hilarity ensuing.
Emi was sitting on a branch that grew from one of the trees surrounding the amphitheater. The height over the other new students gave her a clear view of everyone on stage, and the other students attending the pseudo orientation. Mimi was perched besides her resting her wings from the long flight it took to get here. The forests were large, and the plains were even larger before they reached the mountains.

When Headmaster Jorgle started speaking Emi leaned in closer to fully grasp what he had to say. She was excited. Jorgle was nothing like she had seen before. She was familiar with other smaller beings, herself being one, but Jorgle was the shortest tall person she had seen. And it was not just Jorgle, the woman with the cute rabbit ears was amazingly tall and very intimidating, even though she was several meters away from where Emi was sitting.

Jorgle didn’t say much, but it was enough to further Emi’s excitement for even being there. She felt that if anyone was still distant to what was happening, and then this is what brought in the realization. She was here, she was going to learn to be like those adventurers that come and go through out the forest she called home. Mimi didn’t seem to care one way or another, but she was at peace not having to worry about any distress in their immediate surroundings.

When the tall rabbit lady, Vella, dismissed everyone Emi looked around as her fellow classmates shuffled out looking through various packets of parchment. Curious as to what they were, Emi hopped off the branch and flew down into the crowd. She’d hover over various students’ shoulders looking at the papers in their hands. More than once, she was brushed aside perhaps thought to be a fly. She quickly flew back to Mimi. The students had papers listing classes, subjects, and a map just like Vella mentioned. Emi didn’t have any of those. When Emi arrived she sort of skipped the entrance entirely and flew into the amphitheater through its open roof. That is where everyone was gathering, so she assumed that was where she needed to be. She was correct more or less, but missed her greeting at the entrance.

She was at a loss for what to do, since she had no idea where her dorm was, who her teammates where, or what classes she had. She crossed her arms in thought before looking back at the crowd and then the stage.

Of Course!

If anyone knew anything about where Emi was supposed to go it would be the headmaster, Jorgle. Standing on the branch, she jumped off it once again and darted towards the stage where hopefully Jorgle was still there. Mimi flew after her. As she approached closer over the stage, she started to shout:

"Jorgle, Mr. Jorgle! Hey. I don't have any of those papers. Could I get some? Please?"
