Who came up with the idea to make our statuses quotes from philosophers, anyway?

We could be doing something productive with our lives... instead, we're here.

Welcome, Devilish Hellflame

Hellflame found himself in the Fanged Ranger's territory, where he had last logged off. Hellflame turned his head left and right as he tried to get his bearings, then he dejectedly said to himself, "Man, I should have logged in earlier." Hellflame sighed, then continued, "Oh well. Guess I'll just make up the time I lost now." Hellflame activated his <Wings of Hellfire> ability, and flames erupted from his back, quickly taking the shape of large devil wings. Hellflame crouched down slightly as he spread his flaming wings, and with a leap, he shot up into the sky. Wasting no time, Hellflame turned toward the direction of the Black City and flew towards it. He had overslept during the day the Black King had announced the opening of the Guild and had missed the chance to join on the first day. It was only now he had managed to overcome his listlessness and logged in. "Black King, here I come!" Hellflame yelled as he sped up.

As he neared the Black City, Hellflame couldn't help but notice the rather chaotic battle between players and Dissolutions. Hellflame toyed with the idea of joining the group, but he quickly decided against it. It would be nice chunk of exp, but he had no intention of wasting time or running the risk of dying. Exp farming would have to wait. Hellflame then shot himself to the side, looking for another path where he wouldn't be noticed by the city's defenses. Fortunately, it was easy enough to find one and he flew over the boundary, entering the city.

Hellflame took in the sights, and boy were they nice. Dark buildings and streets in every direction, with lights that barely illuminated the place. Not bad. Not bad at all. Still, he was here on 'business', and he might as well get to it.

As Hellflame flew, he spotted some commotion. A couple of girls were being attacked by quite a number of Dissolutions. Poor girls, Hellflame thought dismissively as he began to fly past them. He would have completely done so if not for a snippet he heard from one of them, "I know where Moon Rider is at..."

That was enough for him to stop in the air, curious about the two of them now. If they had information he wanted, then why not help them for a bit? Hellflame activated his <Hellfire> Ability, creating his 6 black-and-green fireballs, then he launched 4 of them at the Dissolutions closest to the girls, dealing a decent chunk of damage to them and also setting the monsters alight, dealing additional continuous damage. Dropping closer to the ground to them, Hellflame said, "Hey girls, tell me where Moon Rider is and I'll help ya out a bit."

@Ryonara@TheWindel
Damien was now seriously annoyed at the fox girl. Who did she think she was, telling him off like that? Still, there was no denying her rather threatening-looking flames. As the fox girl turned to the farmer, Damien looked the other way to see the hulking metal man standing up and walking over here. Damien had noticed it before, but didn't really pay attention to it, thinking it was just some statue or something that had been thrown away. Unnerved, Damien continued to stare at it until it walked past him to talk to the farmer as well.

With the distractions out of the way, Damien took a few steps away and began to wonder why all this was happening to him. He tried to remember his last memory before coming here, and it was then that he remembered. He had died saving some kid. Damien remembered getting shocked about the screen telling him that he was dead, as well as the character creation screen. He also remembered exactly what he did during that character creation process, and that meant....

Damien raised his right arm in front of him and flexed his fingers, and with a thought he managed to transform his arm into the red rocky arm with yellow markings he had pictured. Damien gave his new arm a few experimental swings, and was satisfied with the power he was feeling. He looked at his other limbs, realizing that he could do the same with all of them, and created similar red limbs from them. A wicked grin appeared on his face, loving the power he was given. Looking back at the group behind him, Damien had his agenda planned out. He really wanted to show the fox girl a thing or two, but even Damien was smart enough to realize that that wasn't a good idea for plenty of reasons. Instead, he went for the next best thing. "Hey," Damien said as he walked back to the group. "What time are these bandits coming? I feel like beating something up, and those unlucky bastards sound pretty good right now." He smashed his right fist into his left palm to emphasize the point.
I should probably get to making a post.
A couple questions:

1: what are the places to jump into currently, and who are there?

2: what's this I've been reading about a coma when you die in the game?

Name
Alia Flori

Race
Human

Personality
Alia is rather polite at first impression, usually starting off with formal greetings. Alia is also friendly, willing to talk to others without hesitation and strike up conversations.

Background
Alia was born to and raised by a local spellcaster whose wife passed away during childbirth. Alia discovered at a young age that she possessed the ability to use magic. Naturally, her father took it upon himself to teach her what he knew about magic. Unfortunately, he didn't really know much about magic, just simple spells like moving rocks and setting things alight. Alia learned all these spells with ease, and it became obvious that she had not even come close to reaching the pinnacle of her abilities. With no one else to teach her, however, Alia was unsure of how to hone her talent, nor what her limits were.

So, Alia said her goodbyes to her father and left home, looking for any other spellcasters who were willing to teach her. Time passed, with Alia looking for a mentor. Her journey was not without obstacles and perils, but Alia managed to learn how to fend for herself with both a knife and her magic. Eventually, she managed to find a spellcaster who definitely knew a lot more than she did. Alia asked the spellcaster to teach her how to be a proper spellcaster herself, and, after a rather tricky and cliche lesson, the spellcaster accepted.

A few years was spent with Alia under the spellcaster's guidance. In that few years, however, Alia learned very quickly about how magic was used, and how tricky it was to be the spellcaster's apprentice. Alia strove to succeed, and she ultimately did. The spellcaster finally admitted that there was nothing more to teach Alia, and they said their farewells to each other. Alia was left to travel again, but this time she had no destination. Alia decided that life was going to be full of surprises, so she might as well see what there was to surprise her with.

Abilities
Alia is very competent with magic, able to perform a variety of basic tasks with her magic. Setting things alight, moving boulders out of the way, blasting enemies with shards of ice or a bolt of lightning, etc. With more effort and time to cast, she can cast more complex spells with multiple elements and processes, though it would tax her fairly heavily. Alia is also capable of using healing magic, though she can only perform basic healing (cuts and bruises), so she can't substitute for a full-fledged priest/healer.

Equipment
-Magic staff, for spellcasting, obviously. Made out of a durable wood and has a dark round stone at one end.
-Magic wand, in case something happens to her staff. Made of wood and has a gem-like stone at the end.
-Provisions, for herself. Dried foods and other things that don't spoil easily, mainly.
Okay just a quick question what else do i need to put into the history?

Perhaps you could add more details about the events of his life. For example, what he did in school, how he spent his time at home or with friends, his reactions to certain events in his life, etc.
Yeah, I'm aware of real life obligations and try to be mindful of them, even if what I'm saying doesn't sound like it. I do try not to sound like a douchebag, though that effort usually fails and I end up sounding more like one every time.

I think I'll just stop talking now.
Name: Extra Control
Trap type: Normal
Effect: Activate when your opponent Special Summons a Monster from the Extra Deck. Tribute one monster you control that was special summoned from the Extra Deck to take control of that Monster.

Oooo, those mass summoning Synchron decks would have a field day with that.
@KoL I meant for for all of us (me, Queue, and Mega Birb) to be able to start at Level 4, in case that wasn't clear, but again, I understand (probably). I won't press the issue of starting at Level 4 any further.

Is my character OK already, though? Like, is he accepted? Forgive me if I sound a little impatient or anything, but I've been waiting for a little over a day now.
@Scarifar, I like your character's background! However, I do have a request before I accept you: could you please list what spells your character knows? Limiting their experiences to "basic spells" tells me very little, and I'm a bit curious about what the limits of her abilities are.

OK, so, my idea of a "basic spell" involves manipulating some element of nature, usually to fire off an attack. You know, casting a fireball, shooting a bolt of lightning, creating a gust of wind, etc. Capable of killing a regular human with enough force and/or if struck in the right place (not necessarily instantly), but not really felling a tree or obliterating a boulder with a single blast (thought it would put a decent hole in either one). Also, things like levitating small objects and healing scratches are basic spells. These can be casted pretty much instantly with a single word or thought.

For more complex spells like creating wards or making a person invisible, or even just putting more force behind basic spells, Alia would need more concentration and energy to cast such spells, ultimately tiring her out fairly quickly if she continues to cast such spells continuously. Even then, there are certain types of magic Alia never learned how to use, like the more powerful types of healing magic, and magic to summon familiars, etc, so she's not some all-powerful magician.

Is that enough of an explanation?
