After taking down Needles with Donnie, Tora, and Poppi, Din embraced Gogoat in celebratory joy, laughing at Poppi's jab at her master's rotundity, then wondered about Needles' soul, which hovered ominously. From what she could tell, the demon clown had been some sort of entertainer, based on his face, despite the fact that it had been warped in an evil manner. But what kind of evil could push an entertainer, one who was supposed to bring joy, to such violence and madness? She looked on as her allies finished their final opponent and the subsequent geyser of souls. A warning from Princess Peach confirmed what Din as thinking; the clown was too dangerous to fuse with, similar to how it probably would have been a bad idea to allow Bowser to fuse with the soul of his evil form. As Donnie, Franklin and Michael convened on her location, she agreed with Donnie about giving the spirit of Needles to one of the other two, as she didn't want anything to do with it. Besides, she had her hands full with the Rod and the keyblade. Still she stayed to keep an eye on them, just in case either of them was reckless enough to fuse with it. "The clown is bad news," Din said, Better to turn it into a weapon or something." She pondered about what it actually meant to turn Needles' soul into a weapon. Was he dead, or did this consign him to some limbo where he was neither dead nor alive? Maybe Needles' deserved such a fate, but surely not all souls were. Or would everything be returned once Galeem was defeated, as one hoped? Which also meant that any force of evil they took down would be returned as well, and Needles' would be free to terrorize whatever mad world he had come from. Perhaps that was for the best; maybe it wasn't their place to pass judgment, much as how Peach seemed to empathize with her opponent. Climbing back on to Gogoat, Din approached the group that lingered behind, fixing their karts.
Ebisugawa Hyouka

@AdmrlStalfos19

Hyouka waited excitedly outside her dorm room, awaiting the arrival of her eventual roommate. She felt honored to have room number five, as it was a number that was commonly used in super sentai shows when it came to the number of team members. There was also the fact that one Japanese pronunciation of the number five was 'go', like the English word implying forward movement, a fact that the writers of such media did not neglect when it came to making puns. This train of thought led Hyouka to reminisce about some of her favorite songs that incorporated such a theme, which ultimately led her to start singing under her breath, making dramatic poses, and pumping her claw in the air whenever the lyrics "GO!" came up. Distracted in this way, Lacara slipped past Hyouka, and Hyouka didn't notice until it was too late, only seeing the tail end of Lacara's blonde pigtails.

Hyouka hurriedly scrambled inside to share the moment with new future best friend, but the moment had passed. She realized that her roommate was the lava girl, which excited her a great deal, but the awkwardness of the moment made Hyouka feel shy. "Umm...Hanazawa-chan, was it?" Hyouka squeaked, then reintroduced herself, bowing, "E-Ebisugawa Hyouka. Looks like we'll be roommates! I'm very excited to get to know you, and become friends, and to learn from each other, and to become heroes together!" Hyouka beamed; Lacara's previously violent demonstration didn't seem to have fazed Hyouka.

With that done, Hyouka noticed her luggage in the corner and decided to unpack. She had a lot of specialized 'handicap' equipment that made her life with claws somewhat easier, mostly stuff her dad had jerry-built that either granted her reach into small spaces her claws couldn't fit, or converted her grip force into smaller, dextrous manipulations. But in addition to basic essentials, Hyouka had a box full of figurines of heroes, real and fictional, and toys of transforming or combining robots that she started to pose and display on her allocated shelf space and desk, spending more time doing this than on more important, utilitarian concerns, giggling to herself quietly as she did so. She kept looking over at Lacara, trying to take in her glamorous, beautiful, new roommate, and committing her everything to memory.
Ebisugawa Hyouka

@AdmrlStalfos19

Returning to the crowd, Hyouka watched the rest of the demonstrations. First up was a sweet, gentle-looking girl who could turn into silk, followed by a girl who could transfer energy. However, that was all quickly pushed out of Hyouka's mind as the next student's poetry sent her to the ground in despair.

Memories of being bullied flooded her psyche, but worse than that, she imagined that the bullying then spread to her parents, ostracizing them from society, and forcing them to ultimately abandon her so that they could return to a life of normalcy. The terrible what-if scenario was more than Hyouka could bear as she pounded her claw on the pavement, until the force of the thought subsided, and a tiny voice in her head began reminding her to keep faith and to remember the love her parents had given her, and continue to give. Though she realized how silly the thought was, the thought still lingered. Getting back up, she caught the tail end of a demonstration by a minotaur, followed by a wild show from a werewolf, Hyouka being completely oblivious to the fact that Marius had actually gone berserk. She was merely impressed by the power of both her classmate and future teacher. All of this was finally wrapped up by a student who seemed to be mimicking animal traits. Hyouka wondered if she could 'donate' her trait to this classmate, and they could be shrimp buddies together.

This was followed by a wonderful announcement by their principal. Hyouka enjoyed the spectacle of a famous hero showing off his quirk. Then came room assignments. For this Hyouka was so excited, that she didn't even notice the content of Shigeki-sensei's announcement and the disturbing sexual implications of what he had said. Having received her key, Hyouka could see that she had been assigned to room five. As they were led to the dorms, Hyouka was bouncing with excitement, wondering who her roommate was. "Room five...room five...umm...are you in room five...umm..." she kept mumbling and asking no one in particular, her excitement suddenly becoming anxiety and shyness, perhaps because of the hit of 'Oblivion' from the demonstration earlier. When they arrived, Hyouka found the door, but stood outside, hoping to meet her roommate so her and her future best friend could walk in together.
Shen LinMu

Dr. Shen's House of Healing

It had been a few days since the now ambassador of Tian had visited Dr. Shen's House of Healing. In the days since, the House of Healing had been running a massive advertisement campaign for the House of Healing's opium addiction rehabilitation program. As drug use in the city was rampant among both the rich and the poor, such a service could help set people back on track with their lives. They had already gotten several customers. For well-connected nobles, they treated them in earnest, earning the House of Healing a steady profit, as such rehabilitation would require many repeat visits. This also boosted the reputation and perceived efficacy of the House of Healing's rehabilitation program, thus establishing trust and bringing in more customers. For the less fortunate and easily forgotten, they were 'disappeared'. For those in between, opium was prescribed to wean them off the substance, but they were given a special, far more potent breed of the drug. This was so their addiction would worsen, until they ruined their lives and severed their connections to others. Once vulnerable, they could be 'disappeared'. Certain samples were also distributed among various street gangs in an attempt to incite gang wars and increased drug use. The destabilization of poor neighborhoods would mostly go unnoticed, while pushing the residents to desperation, thus getting themselves further involved in gang violence and drug use. In this way, entire communities could be 'disappeared', and the explanation that the authorities would arrive at would be that they succumbed to gang wars. Granted, this was the long term plan, and some of this had yet to take place, but undisturbed, it would continue smoothly, thanks in part to the negligence of the nobles and the well-to-do, and plenty of live bodies would be provided for the Ambassador's needs. Of course, Dr. Shen had had to merge into the building to expand its underground storage capacity to accommodate the sudden influx of people.

Overall, plans were going smoothly and business was good, LinMu reflected. But something still ate at the back of his mind. He was sure that at some point, worshipers of the Old Gods were sure to pay him a visit, probably to assign him some task involving some slaves; victims of the Iron Decree, and nobles with knowledge of the Old Gods. He still found the idea distasteful; working with ancient, outdated religions. 'Let sleeping gods lie', was Dr. Shen's motto concerning religion; that and 'all you need is love'. He decided that instead of sitting inside and of worrying about something he might never have to see or experience, he should take his mind off things and take a walk, and absorb the chaotic beauty of the city of Venedig. Perhaps buy a snack from a street vendor. Getting up, he headed out into the bright light of the bustling city.

Eileen Fang // Ailanthus Altissima (Tessa)
:: The Laughing Worg Tavern // Thorinn ::

@ComradeMaxx @Kuro @HokumPocus

"Well, staying in town and starving is a form of death in its own right," Tessa disagreed with Graves, alluding to the slow collective realization that the players were beginning to actually experience hunger and thirst. Though no one had died from malnutrition just yet, the dawning lack of resources weighed on the minds of those who looked just a little further ahead. There wasn't enough in their little 'safe haven' to go around, and everyone just hoped other people would risk their necks to plunge the dungeons and haul in large quantities of sustenance; as if they wouldn't just hoard it all to themselves. Tessa had read enough Chinese history to know that desperation, and cannibalism at worst, were just around the corner.

But, deciding not to be more contrarian than she already was and alienating one of the few other players who actually tolerated her existence, Tessa followed the direction of his new topic of discussion. She scanned left and right for the red-headed spearwoman. "Shit. Hell if I know." Tessa was usually quite good at picking out the flow of foot traffic, but Rael had never been that predictable. "I swear, next set of enchantments I give her is gonna include tracking runes."

Seeing a pair of people on the street nearby, she decided to just probe them for answers. Marching over, Tessa interrupted, "Hey, you two! Did you see a spearwoman? Kinda short with long red hair? Dumb grin?" It wasn't the best, nor most flattering description, but Tessa had run out of patience, of which she had very little to begin with.
Vivian & Sylvia Altissima
@PaulHaynek @Lmpkio @AzureKnight

During the entire arrest, Sylvia merely hung her head in embarrassed shame, while Vivian kept staring daggers at Neil, blaming him for not disrobing voluntarily, forcing them to make a scene. While the guard captain berated them them, Vivian set to comforting the mortified Sylvia, letting Morgan do all the talking. When they were released, the liliraune gave Neil the silent treatment, but Vivian perked up upon seeing Haley, Titanica, and Vara. "Heyo!" Vivian waved back, hoping that some energy and socializing will lift Sylvia's spirits, however she didn't like the fact that the conversation was turning to Neil. It stood to reason that if he worked with monsters on a day-to-day basis, yet seemed oblivious to the 'erotic dangers' of his guildmates, there had no doubt been embarrassing events aplenty, which is what Vivian surmised Haley and Vara might be talking about. Still, though Vivian was currently angry at Neil, it wasn't like she hated him, she just hated the situation that his resistance to being stripped had landed them in, and the shame that Sylvia suffered from it. Although if she wanted to blame anyone, it would have to be the quack alchemist. Thinking on it, Vivian's rage abated somewhat, so instead of projecting her anger at Neil, she set to comforting Sylvia some more, while keeping her ear on the ensuing conversation.

Sure, feel free to PM me the link or whatever.
Handel appeared on deck, clicking her teeth in irritation. She had caught Marine chatter on her intercepting den den mushi, but had hoped they would be able to avoid them. She wondered if she should have alerted the captain of Arafael's true identity, but now it was perhaps too late. This would be a defining moment for the lieutenant in Handel's eyes, as this was a good opportunity for the wolf to turn on the crew while they were distracted with the bomb-laden seagulls. If he did not, then perhasp he was ready t oleave the marines, or he was simply waiting for to build more trust and would betray them at a better opportunity. On the other hand, Handel could message the Marines, letting them know that sinking the ship would likely result in the death of one of their own. She decided to hold off on that option unless she absolutely had to, ebcause notifying the marines might buy them some time, but it would definitely cause the marines to maintain their focus on this crew because they might think the lieutenant was a hostage or something.

"Bombs, eh?" Handel said monotonously, then joked, "I wonder if they'd still be bombing us if they knew how many marines were on this ship?" Of course, this was meant for Arafael's ears, but to everyone else, they would probably just think that Handel was referring to herself and Bakuto. She dragged her bass to the edge of the railing, held the strings on the neck at a specific chord, and gave the strings a long, sustained draw with her bow, releasing an inaudible hum that could be felt through the ship. This sent forth a concussive blast of sonic energy that spread out in a hemisphere towards the seagulls, its lower edge visible as a ripple on the surface of the water. Such a force, though unlikely to do real harm to a human, was still harmful to birds, who had brittle bones by comparison due to needing to be lighter to sustain flight. There was also the possibility that such a concussive force might cause primed explosives to detonate prematurely. At minimum, the sudden, sharp, undulating changes in air pressure would make flying difficult for such small creatures.
@Bob the Grunt @Letter Bee @Nimbus

Ishaq was surprised to hear the sheer versatility of Callie's Noble Arm. "Well personally, I would like to stay out of trouble and focus on reviving, but I'm just saying that having two transporters may allow us to pull off this operation less like a strike and more like a heist, which is preferable when it comes to minimizing casualties," Ishaq said agreeably, then turned to Robert. "The targets will suffer no side-effects," he reassured, leaving out the detriment to himself, "And I have yet to find a range limit for the ability. But one limit I do know of is that I can only revive twice. Three times, if I really push myself." Ishaq glanced away momentarily. He was not telling the full truth.

He had long ago figured out that each revive cost ten percent of the total volume of blood in his body, so he knew his theoretical maximum was ten revives. But he had learned, through experience, that twenty percent blood loss was almost unbearable, and that the body began to stop functioning at around thirty percent blood loss. His superiors had forced him to go beyond this in the past, by strapping him to a seat with his face positioned above the urn, unable to break the cycle and end the ability. Still, it had been worth it. He had been instrumental in saving the Holy Land. But he was not prepared to go that far again, not for this vain dream.

Ishaq continued, "So I could have one target, and give him or her two-to-three revives; or two targets, but the number of charges remains the same, so they would be sharing. Once the charges are used up, there will be no protection from death. So while maximizing coverage might be preferred, we shouldn't waste charges. So at risk of sounding like an Arms supremacist, I will be reserving this ability for you two. It's not bias, it's pragmatism." Ishaq had learned long ago that despite having a power that could save people from death, the desire to save everyone was naive. As much as people preached the ideal that everyone was equal and that all lives had worth, the fact of the matter remained, human lives will continue to be sacrificed, and some lives will be prioritized over others. Shakily, Ishaq rose from his seat and followed the commanding officer above deck.
@Inkarnate

I apologize for flip-flopping and being wishy-washy, but I think that ultimately, I am going to drop this RP. The problem lies entirely with me and my lack of real dedication to ASOIAF lore. I've also made the classic mistake of over-committing to too many RP's at once. This is by no means a negative assessment of the players in this RP, who are objectively a fun bunch. Special shout out to @agentmanatee for reaching out to me to try to flesh out relationships. I hope my absence does not derail your plans at all (or anyone else's for that matter).
