Name:
Tsubomi Saito
Age:
17
Appearance:

Digivice variant:
Digivice VB, purple, black, and silver in color.
Digimon partner(s):
Fafnir and Wynter
Personality:
Attempts to describe her traditionally are generally met with failure, as she is eccentric to the point of being nearly non-understandable. The most obvious facets of her personality are her strange sense of humor and her tendency to either be extremely excitable and extroverted or extremely introverted and reflective, with seemingly no middle ground aside from her "jokes."
She has a somewhat unhealthy obsession with snakes and an equally unhealthy hatred of insects, both exacerbated by her rather severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Backstory:
Incredibly intelligent and well educated; in a sense she is exactly what one would expect from the child of two highly intelligent parents, in that she is not only a prodigy in many regards, but has few social skills and many odd quirks. Born to a father who works for a large electronics company and a college-professor mother, Tsubomi has never wanted for anything. Being home-schooled by her high-expectation mother, she spent her days sleeping and finding entertainment in the internet while her nights were spent cramming an entire public school education in semester sized chunks at a time. Having a nearly perfect memory made the process quick and relatively painless, leading her to develop a detached personality, as if life were just something to do for the sake of doing.
She found her spark once again several years ago when she discovered the latest (at the time) Digimon TCG. She accrued an almost complete collection of every card, missing only three to this day, but rarely played the game herself. However, the TCG is what brought her into the Digimon fandom, where she thrived and renewed her passion for life. She was among the first people to play Emergence when it was released, spending a lot of her allowance on premium currency that she spent on cosmetic enhancements; none of it was spent on anything that made the game easier or "better" despite that being the main reason players bought the currency.
The latest Digimon TCG took over her life for a short while as well. While she still played Emergence religiously, she spent just as much time and money, if not more, on making her perfect deck. This deck won her a tournament where the reward was a special Emergence Digitama, that of a very rare Digimon as part of a cross-promotion for both games. While the Digimon that would hatch from it was a surprise, it turned out to be one of her favorites.
She believes that every Digimon has value, and treats her Digimon as if they were actually alive, almost like the anime and manga present them, even though she knows it's just a game. She has an entire Farm Island full of insect Digimon that she refuses to touch aside from sending them food when they aren't able to produce enough for themselves. She calls this Island "Quarantine," the only thing stopping her from recycling them is her bleeding heart.
