Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

@Caasicam: Accepted.

Sorry, today wasn't a good day for updating overall.
Hey, sorry for the triple post, but since it looks like we'll have some NPC Servants, would everyone like to see what we have in mind?

I figure it's probably for the best to keep discussion going.

Additionally, given the fact the RP's start is incoming, we also need to solve the potential issue of lacking Master numbers on Black Team, which I honestly hadn't anticipated.
Double post but just want to keep people in the know: Ended up pushing it to tomorrow, but no later.
The smirk on Tomoko's lips was undeniable.

However, when she next spoke...

"Then again, I suppose Shimamaru-san's capabilities are far too meager to fool a monster like Hasshaku-sama," she added, tapping her walking stick lightly on the ground as she spoke. "At least, when used on herself. Ibaraki-san has the features of an oni, but if those features are concealed sufficiently..."

The blonde's smirk broadened.

"Would anyone be able to tell the difference between her and a human child? I don't think so."

Of course, a great deal of this plan hinged on the perpetrator truly being Hasshaku-sama. When it came down to it, even though Tomoko was considerably certain about this hypothesis, the fact remained that it wasn't impossible that another culprit was behind this. It was the edge of uncertainty that could always cut through likelihood like a knife.

But as of now, it was the best option.

"Shimamaru-san will use her illusions to conceal Ibaraki-san's nature, and we'll head into the territory Hasshaku-sama seems to be patrolling going off of her previous victims," explained Tomoko, "Since we can't determine much else about her actions right now, and speed is of the essence, we'll have to do our best."

Ideally, the sight of an ordinary child wandering alone would be enough for the phantom's attention to be captured.

"If the children are alive, it's likely she's keeping them somewhere. It's possibly an imaginary zone or a closed space, but we can follow her back to it regardless," added the Intermediary, "If they're not, then... we still have a duty to carry out."

It was late when Tomoko insisted her plan be carried out. She had located an area ideal for their purposes, with the help of some of the local yokai, an alleyway near a vending machine. From there, it was simply a matter of dulling their presence and waiting while Ibaraki-san did her best to look like a confused child who was completely alone and Shimamaru-san did her best to uphold her illusions on threat of having her tail shaved.

Now all they had to do was wait. As long as Hasshaku-sama made an appearance, even if she fled, then they would be able to pursue her.

For everyone still working on a character: I'm going to be starting this RP this coming Friday!
Sorry to post again, just going to say update is incoming tomorrow!
I'll update in the next few days then!
Well if other people are still around I am!
Higanbana Shoujo

"It's no small wonder that I summoned you, then," commented the black-haired girl as she walked. Indeed, a famed yokai and herself, who could be considered as an entity disconnected from humanity and far more connected to such creatures... It only stood to reason, really. It only made sense that they would come to be partnered together as Master and Servant.

Ah, this truly would be enjoyable, wouldn't it?

A part of her couldn't deny her curiosity, of course. Ushiwaka... the childhood name of none other than Minamoto no Yoshitsune. What had he been like? Ah, but asking questions like a curious child would undoubtedly run counter to her image. Rather, Akane would inject the matter into conversation at another point later on.

For the moment, chief in her mind was simply obtaining the shrine as a position to establish a workshop. From that point onward, they could operate quite freely.

And Akane could see if this war had anyone worth killing. Or, perhaps...

Well, that could be seen to when it came to it. For the moment it was best to focus on the task at hand.

But it seemed that would not be so simple. There was no way to ignore the voices coming from the direction of the shrine.

"... It seems there are others who have had the same idea," Akane commented, with a sigh, "Very well. I should like to meet them, Caster."

One of her geta tapped against the floor, and a red hue surrounded her.

"And so I shall. Please do be wary, but do not feel undue concern for me."

Surrounding her feet was a clustered of crimson, gleaming higanbana. As they spread from here her geta made contact with the ground, they too paradoxically appeared ahead of the shrine, in her line of sight, sprouting seemingly from the stone path to the building. Soon, a reddish haze in the rough shape of a young girl had appeared in their midst...

And then Akane was there. By her nature as an entity connected to the land, such feats were simple for her.

On her shoulder rested a crimson paper umbrella, and she cocked her head lightly.

"... Hello there," she began in a pleasant tone, "'Tis only natural to run into such people tonight, I suppose."

@samakama: Hmmm... Honestly, he's still kind of underwelming. While I wouldn't recommend making his hammer NP stronger and I don't like Noble Phantasms that specifically function by destroying/permanently disabling other Servant's NPs.

But aside from that, Riders are defined by personally not being that powerful but having multiple strong NPs. Try using his history as a basis and really boost up his horse or something, think about what canon Riders can do.
