Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

@Click This: They should all be at least somewhat aware of one another at minimum, having all reigned at the same time.
Stars and silence. An endless, yawning void. A thousand eyes in the dark.

The dreams of a dead god are impossible to fathom, even for the dreamer. But according to some, it can be said that they reflect some form of truth about the world.

Or, perhaps, they are a glimpse of the world beyond.

Come back to us. Please...

For a few moments, it was dark. And yet they would feel something for the first time in ten thousand years.

It was a strange, cool sensation. As their bodies began to develop more sensation, it would become possible for them to feel something like a liquid enveloping them.

Finally, it would become possible to see again, as the strange fluid sensation drained away and they were exposed to the open air.

It was dark, but not impossible to see. The room they had awakened in way of considerable size, though the ceiling was quite low, shaped like a hexagon. The floor had a large pattern inscribed on it, a set of rings smaller at the center and steadily widening outwards with a series of inscriptions carved between each ring and framed by evenly spaced lines. On closer examination, each line would indeed lead to a steel platform upon which each of them now stood. On the far side of the room there appeared to be a stairway that lead out of the room and upwards.

For a moment, it would be difficult for each of them to remember anything. Even their names would be lost.

But then everything would come flooding back.

They were gods. They had once experienced the worship and adoration of the mortal world. They had once commanded the world itself and those within it.

And then...

Not a single one of them would be able to remember just how they got here. No matter how hard they tried. It was a void in their memory, an event that had completely faded away.

The chamber was rather cool, and while their clothing would be dry their skin and hair would feel slightly damp.

They weren't alone, either.

At the center of the room, where each line intersected, was a girl. She was small, and appeared to be considerably pale as if she was suffering from some sort of illness or other duress. She was also prone, lying unconscious on her side, white hair pooling around her as if she had recently collapsed.

Beyond this, there were no clues to what had just occurred, to what had returned the gods from death.

But there was no denying it.

Ten thousand years had come to an end.

@Rune_Alchemist@Click This@1Charak2@Raineh Daze@Renny@Martian: Forgot to mention, but now that we have a full cast I'll be starting the RP either tonight or tomorrow!
@ERode: Thank you, and sorry that things didn't work out.
@ERode: Well, the primary points of overlap are the specific notes about conquest-as-sex and the war focus. Additionally, they have similar methods of avoiding injury, as well as a focus on sex as part of an ability set. I'm not saying only one deity can be into sex, but lewd as an actual part of the domain is something that probably shouldn't be repeated twice in a cast of this size.

I also think he's a bit overtuned for the beginning of the RP, at least as far as my judgement went no-one went quite that far in their own bios in terms of offensive capabilities as well as metaphysical ones. While the players are definitely going to be powerful by dint of their nature as deities, I think his ability to interact with concepts and ignore damage entirely is a little too much.

With the acceptance of @Martian's edited bio, the RP is full, but I still thought it would be really inappropriate not to explain my concerns, especially given the effort put into the bio in the first place.
@ERode: Hmmm.

While I appreciate the amount of work that went into this bio quite a bit, I'm a little concerned that he overlaps a bit too much with @Raineh Daze's character. Given the cast size and the nature of the characters being played I want everyone to be pretty divergent from one another, so I kind of feel like two deities based around both conflict and multiple meanings of the word conquest is a bit much.

@Martian: Since the backstory was my only issue here, accepted.
@Click This: Accepted. Really nifty choice of domain and abilities!
While the surroundings looked distinctly holy, it was likely that anyone with any sensitivity to the matter would realize something else about the former holy site: It felt distinctly empty. There was none of the warmth, no familiar sensation of entering a temple to the goddess. Such a feeling was nearly completely lacking.

There was nothing.

Further exploration inside the buried temple would reveal carved bones, and that many of the old benches had been broken down and hacked apart as if to use for wood.

It became quite likely there were not only undead dwelling down here. The carved bones, as well, would seem somewhat familiar to anyone with any experience tangling with goblins.

If the creatures were still present could not currently be confirmed, but the damage to the benches seemed rather fresh, and the discarded carved bone at least indicated they were almost certainly present at some point or another.

The only way to be certain was to keep searching.

@Martian: The only thing here is really that I want you to make his origins more vague.
@1Charak2: Accepted.

@Raineh Daze: Accepted.
