Not dead, but I am working a lot and looking for a vehicle. Nothing says "Merry Christmas" like your front differential dying.

Nothing quite starts the day like a family death and almost getting into a head on collision due to the snow storm.

Bio

Welcome, welcome!

The short and sweet:
I'm an old lady in my thirties, so I ask my partners be 18+.
A veteran of many years of writing - I started way back in the days of wolf packs on AOL.
Female and pansexual; I write with any and all genders - recently, I'm delving into attempting to write male roles.
Dog mom and outdoor enthusiast; medical professional, volunteer firefighter, first responder, and wildlife rehabilitator.

I'm a fairly open book that has written just about everything at some point or another. I tend to write decent to long posts, play female characters (attempting to round that out), and I'm amenable to most ideas. I love slice of life, historical, fantasy, and apocalyptic adventures.

World building is fun, but so is quick play. I have a few partners that go back with me for years that I've built entire worlds and multiple generations with.

I tend to have "flawed" characters; perfection is boring, character development is not. Learning to work through their flaws, or overcome fears, is a driving point to play for me. Some of them have profiles, some of them do not. Preferences are for the dark, gritty, and rough - I don't go for fairy tales because everything being perfect would be boring.

This will keep growing with time, but feel free to PM with any questions or ideas you have in mind! I prefer one on one, but a good group might be able to catch my eye. It's been literally a decade since I wrote in a group because of a mixture of work, mental health, and obligations outside of the online world.

My husband's work (machining shop) had two people from third shift coughing all over everything for almost a week until the first shift foreman lost his shit and made them get tested. They're both positive and it got brought home. 😑 Infection control from my hospital job means I get to quarantine for a couple weeks, but I'm upset.
A semi-nearby town was -39° last night. Makes me glad I'm quarantined!
On the subject of dampness: I live directly on Lake Michigan. Like six blocks from the shoreline. It's constantly a swamp in the summer and an ice ball in the winter.

I'll have to upload some pictures at some point, but it's mainly of fishing spots!
Bump.

I bet you they don't even use their truck to farm, it's just their pretty truck to go to church with

Real farmers use the Nissan D-20 because it's fucking impossible to kill a D-20.

Most of those trucks aren't farm trucks at all, no. Their wide tires are also terrible in the snow, soooo.

Also, funny enough, we have a F-350 as our farm truck, but yanno... it actually hauls trailers and hay.

Oh yeah, fuck them.

Let us not forget that they have farm plates to boot!

Gotta deliver those goods bro, haven't you heard there's a logistics crunch?

That said I feel you I just hate other drivers in general. If I could get away living somewhere where I don't need a car I'd jump on it.

Which is why I'm considering someday leaving for Chicago or Philly or something

No, no... I'm talking the lifted F-350 jackasses! I know about the logistical nightmare - we had our own issues finding supplies and I have friends who work in trucking.
Might I just say that I HATE some drivers in the UP? It's snowing and slick and a giant truck always has to get right up on my bumper!
@OddApproved Advanced Algebra, Human Biology, Interpersonal Communication, Abnormal Psychology over here. Next semester is twelve credits in spring, twelve in summer. Just shoot me now.
@Dinh AaronMk Rentals here wildly vary, but living in town is definitely cheaper. This house cost less than the apartment we were originally going to get, too.
