Double GM OOC post, ermergerd!
To those going to the Springwood Forest:
With that little tidbit, you can all hopefully actually start moving to the forest now. ^^
To those going to the Springwood Forest:
Distance:
To get from the eastern most part of the village to the western-most part of the Springwood Forest, it takes about 25~30 minutes or regular-paced walking. This travel-time is decreased if one runs, uses a mount, magic or some other form of aceelerated momentum.
Path:
There is no clear path or road to the Springwood from the village, at least not yet. One has to simply walk on wild grass, flowers, weeds and shrubs towards the east, and eventually the forest trees will start to become visible in the distance. The forest itself also has no clear 'entry point' or such, meaning you'll just have to walk in through the trees and trunks and hope for the best. Perhaps setting up some kind of sign or indicator to mark where a group "enters" would be smart.
Sights:
Walking to the Springwood is fairly uneventful. There're no landmarks or noteworthy objects or formations to pay any interest to. Small, thin and short trees grow in seperated and far-between occasional places, some shrubs or bushes pop up here and there, but mostly it's just grass, weeds, flowers and other small, fern-like plants of no particular import. The weather's nice thouigh, sunny and mild.
Encounters:
Along the way to the forest, you may run into simple grassland animals such as moles, field mice, gophers and other small, harmless animals. In terms of monsters, the only thing you'd see are things like plain Blue and Green slimes, who're passive and don't really attack unless provoked - otherwise perfectly content with eating dead plant and/or animal matter.
