Sorry, meant to post in the last couple of days but suddenly came down with something. Still not feeling great, but I'm getting better at least. I'll definitely have a response in soon for sure!

Totally understandable, sorry you're not feeling great. And like Rush said, I hope you feel better soon.
Jill Brookes

Location: Abandoned Stellar Toy Co. Factory Mentions: @Savo @Rune_Alchemist @Vertigo @Crusader Lord

After her initial greeting towards Clarissa, Jill had become uncharacteristically quiet as she watched her companions talk amongst themselves. Something was not adding up here. Despite not commenting on it, she had in fact noticed increasing hostility between Yuu and Chloe on their trek through the factory. She'd been hoping it was nothing. She was hoping she'd imagined it. She was hoping it would stop eventually.

It hadn't.

Obviously Yuu hadn't been the nicest to Jill when they first met, but the ninja girl was used to that. People seemed to get exasperated with her very easily. Even her beloved grandparents had moments where their expression showed a clear... frustration... disappointment? Some kind of emotion that Jill couldn't quite identify but definitely made her stomach sink. They were always apologising for her, always telling her to slow down, telling her to consider other people. She did try to consider other people, but it didn't to seem to make a difference. That's why she was so surprised when she'd first befriended Zeph, and now when Chloe had so quickly taken her under her wing. She really wasn't used to such unflinching and complete acceptance.

That's why, when Yuu had immediately made some unprovoked rude comments towards Chloe that Jill had been incredibly confused. The other girl hadn't even had a chance to say anything before Yuu seemed to pass judgement on her, and it was strange. Jill hadn't known Chloe that long but in that time, she'd been nothing but nice to her, and had been so eager to come along and help Clarissa when she needed it. Obviously, she'd been a bit rude to Yuu, but in her defense, he had been rude first. None of this made sense, and after a bit, Jill had just started to wonder if Yuu was like this to everyone.

Then Clarissa had shown up, and that theory was dashed. Yuu seemed completely different, much nicer, much more complimentary, moreso than he'd been to even Remi and Nevine, who he'd seemed mildly more tolerant of during their fight. And while Clarissa seemed like a nice enough person, Jill couldn't really identify anything off the bat that would make Yuu substantially nicer to her than to anyone else they'd met.

Then Yuu glanced in her and Chloe's direction and she realised he was talking about her. Huh? She quickly rewound the conversation in her head. Something about... contests? Oh yeah, she'd heard of contests. She'd even seen a few on television. They seemed pretty cool. She definitely wouldn't mind trying one at least once. Chloe in particular seemed interested so she'd like to go along just to support her.

She was about to open her mouth to speak when Chloe seemed to noticed her snubbull wasn't by her side, and quickly excused herself from the group to chase after her Pokemon, leaving her alone with Yuu and Clarissa. Jill glanced between the two of them, then in the direction Chloe had gone, considering what she should do.

"You know," she said suddenly towards Yuu. "You really should be nicer to Chloe. She's not a bad person, and it's not fair for you to treat her like one." And without further elaboration or even waiting for a response, she scooped up Aster in her arms and then went after Chloe.

Oleander, who had been floating quietly during this whole conversation, glanced dully in the direction of Jill as she ran off. They didn't make any move to follow, just watched her go off as if considering something.
Jub the Peculiar

"Well, if he lives here in the Plane of Air, it's likely he has some way to get around this place. Maybe another balloon or something that we can borrow," Jub quickly cut in after Brutrumukk's question, trying very hard to make sure the gnome's mannerisms didn't offend or upset anyone. "Worst come to worst, I can try and fly us out of here. But whether he can help us or not, there is something you might be able to help us with... well, specifically me. If you can summon a familiar, you wouldn't happen to have the components for doing so? I, err, lost my familiar about..." He paused, suddenly realising he didn't actually know how long had past since they had been at the Carnival. "Couple of days ago? Maybe three?" He shook his head. "Hard to keep track, but let's just say, longer than I think she'd be happy with, and I have been unable to resummon her since so... if you have any of those to spare, that would be really helpful."
Thank you!

That is a 16 on Arcana. ^_^

Aaliyah has heard a decent amount about bheur hags as they dwell in cold areas, for example, the Frostfell, the para-elemental plane of ice that exists between the Plane of Air and the Plane of Water. She might have even seen a couple in the distance flying on a magic staff away from Ishaan's palace, though I doubt she's met any in person, and is mostly going by what Ishaan and other members of the palace have told her.

Bheur hags are typically chaotic evil, and are considered cruel even by hag standards. They are attracted to selfish actions inspired by the cold, especially if said actions are unwarranted. They themselves have been known to become more active during the winter, and like to use their ice magic to make nearby settlements miserable. It is a point of debate whether bheur hags are simply attracted to the cold or if they perhaps bring the cold weather with them.

Despite their cruel personalities, however, even Ishaan has to admit they have great knowledge and wisdom, particularly when it comes to nature and survival, and people will occasionally seek them out for said knowlege.
Hm...so before I make my post @XxFellsingxX Tanrith has Lightning-based Cantrips in Shocking Grasp and Lightning Lure. Would it be possible for Tanrith to flavor these cantrips as being channeled through Zyrech while Tanrith is mounted or otherwise standing with/beside him? It'll still use Tanrith's modifiers and DC and such since he's the one initiating the spell, and it wouldn't alter range if they're right beside each other or if he's mounted. So it should just be a flavor-only alteration here.

If not, I'm totally fine leaving it RAW as well~

That will alter how Tanrith answers their questions~

You know what? Go for it. That sounds pretty cool.

@XxFellsingxX Could Aaliyah roll something to see what she knows about bheur hags?

Sure, roll me an Arcana check.

For exercising self-control in their latest post, Flicker is now Inspired.

... hell yeah!

... I totally didn't forget that was one of the ways they could gain inspiration.
@Guardian Angel Haruki Posted. Don't know if I need to roll a Persuasion check for that, that's up to you.
Flicker's expression had continued darkening throughout this conversation, particularly when Aura decided to humour the imp in reading his contract. Once again, it took all of Flicker's strength not to say anything, instead folding their arms and watching as the air genasi looked over the terms and conditions. Small sparks began to fly from Flicker's hair, increasing with every passing second. Fortunately, Aura didn't go through with it, quickly seeing it for the poor deal it was, and both she and Jørmund encouraged the group to head onwards and ignore the fiend.

Flicker was about take a step forward when Cascade decided to unleash some, erm, 'choice words' towards the imp, even taking out a trident and telling him to get lost. Flicker raised both their eyebrows in surprise, not expecting the normally affable paladin to become so angry so quickly. Normally, they wouldn't encourage hot-headed behaviour, but given the circumstsances, they couldn't really fault her.

Unfortunately, it didn't seem to scare the imp any, the fiend merely clapping like they'd witnessed a show. Sensing this wouldn't go down well with Cascade, Flicker quickly placed a hand on the water genasi's shoulder. "Don't let him get to you," they said. "I think he's deliberately trying to rile you up at this point. If he does show up at your village, I will be right there with you to kick him out, but as it stands, he's really not worth it right now." They cast a very pointed side-glance in the imp's direction as they spoke.
…Someone might want to hold Cascade back if nobody wants a fight…^^”

As sweet of a dork she is, everybody is going to learn first hand that Cascade holds true and follows through on her words: if she says she’s going to do something, she’ll do it…

Guess I know what Flicker is going to be doing.

... Gods, Flicker trying to calm someone down. It really is opposite day.
Also, everyone (almost) about ready to pounce Aura for reading the contract makes me giggle.

Yeah, I didn't put a response from Flicker for that (mostly because I didn't want to over-post) but they definitely would have had a go at her if no one else had xD
