"We need to work on your name later, I'll go call you Crow for now." Ashley decided as she conversed with the group, it appears that K-Pop guy and the crow have a history, something she should inquire for later.

"That's coffee, think of it as a surge of energy in liquid form. It seems it is more effective on you since you typically don't drink one."

She took a glass of water and placed it near the Crow.

"Drink up, I hope this could help you."

Basically the Crow's opinion of Ashley is still fairly neutral at this point.

Just as everyone was introducing themselves, Santana seemed to think that pleasantries had gone on long enough. After a brief shock of pain, the Crow blinked to find himself once again in a completely different place. This time, however, the place was somewhat familiar to him.

"Huh," he said, a little surprised. "Never been on this side of the windows before." He looked around him for a moment before noticing the coffee on the table. "Ooh, what's this?" He flutter up onto the table and put his beak into the liquid... only to immediately withdraw at the both the mixture of intense heat and bitterness it gave him. "BLERRRGH!" he said, shaking his head. "You humans drink this stuff? Preposterous!"

He shook himself again before looking at his newfound teammates... and suddenly felt quite odd. He'd barely taken a sip of the dark liquid but it seemed it was already having an effect on his small form. He heard and understood Luka's words, but for him they seemed to be in slow motion. In fact, everything seemed to be slow motion for him. He himself however...

"Waitwhat?" he said, his words coming out quickly without him pausing for breath. "Whyareyoualltalkinglikethat? Whatshappening?" His left eye starts twitching as the caffeine starts to take effect.

Sorry if it feels like I'm pushing things too quickly--I like the direction things were going but I also wanted to get past that first bit with Santana, and I wasn't sure when we were going to have another off-ramp from that scene.

No, that's completely fair. I was worried that me having the Crow make constant jabs at Luka was getting disruptive.

Luka: I'm sorry, I can't quite hear you over the sound of MORE IMPORTANT PEOPLE in the room.

The Crow had no idea what a metaphor was, so he didn't bother to respond to Luka's comeback. Instead, he turned to the two girls, who were introducing themselves. He nodded approvingly, and once they were done, he cleared his throat. "I am the Crow," he said. "I own the territory around Mario's diner and I know how to defend what's mine. I will also accept That Damned Crow, That Fucking Crow, Blasted Bird, Crow from Hell, Feathered Fiend and..." He paused, as if recalling something. He pointed at Luka with a wing. "What was that moniker you referred to me as when we first woke up here? Err, 'Midnight-feathered Menace', I do believe?" He nodded to himself. "Yes, I do quite like that. I will be using that in future. You do have a way with words, old chap, I will give you that." He then shot Luka a very smug look. "But I suppose it would have been cruel for nature to not give you at least one redeeming quality."
