Fell, she/they, English, currently obsessed with DnD and other ttrpgs. I do art sometimes. I am the GM of two tabletop roleplays on this very site:

- Beyond Moonlight's Reach, a story of four young dragons growing up in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world, and using the Powered by the Apocalypse game Epyllion.

- Search for Tir na Og, a DnD 5e campaign set in the Planescape setting where a group of strangers from all across the multiverse come together to solve the mystery about what happened to the Celtic gods after they and their homelands were mysteriously spirited away.

As the Crow studied his new prize, his triumph slowly turned to confusion as he tried to comprehend exactly what he was looking at, particularly the words emblazoned on the wallet. While he had gained the ability to understand human writing, some phrases still confused him. What exactly was a 'field agent'? An agent was someone who acted on behalf of another so... someone who acted on behalf of a field? That didn't make any sense.

Then the phone attached to the wallet started ringing. It was not an unfamiliar sound to the New York bird, but it still startled him, causing him to give out a loud squawk and almost let go of it (and the knife he was still clutching in his beak). Thankfully, he managed to reclaim his hold of both and, still recovering from the shock, read the words on the phone.

"Agent Bullshit". Okay, that made even less sense than 'field agent'. Who would act on behalf of cow poop?

Not knowing what to do with this, he decided to defer to his human companions who might have the answers to his slowly growing list of questions. He fluttered down so he was hovering in sight of the window of Mario's, hoping that at least one of his companions could see him. He held up the wallet and phone, giving a questioning looking as if to say 'What do I do?'
Stargaze: Knowledge is knowing tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Skobeloff: Philosophy is wondering if that makes ketchup a smoothie.
Shieldwing: Common sense is knowing that ketchup isn't a smoothie.
Shieldwing: You nasty.
Stargaze: If the multiverse theory is true, then there is a universe where it isn't.
Fellwing: Multiverse theory doesn't cover paradoxical situations.
Skobeloff: Except in the universe where it does!
Shieldwing: I'm having an aneurysm.
Skobeloff: Except in the universe where you aren't!

(Not from the incorrect quotes generator, I just really like this one post and can totally see our group having a similar situation.)
Aight, checkin' in: how's everyone doin'?
The Crow: Hold on, I think I know what to do here... *answers phone* New phone, who dis?
No worries, it happens. ^_^
I'll go ahead and try the Push Yourself action. ^^"
If the card drawn is Negative, I'll take the Death Card. (Sorry Fellsing. ^^")

Nah, it's cool. If you want to take Death, go for it. The Crow is doing pretty good atm even without it.
@ctrlsaltdel since you've just given the Crow something with words on, that does actually beg the question: can the Crow read now?
Choice is yours although I do prefer that you go for strength.

Oki dokes!

Strength it is then!
@XxFellsingxX This sounds like a plain ol' Challenge Fate (ELE) to me. Your ELE is 3, so you get to pick from:

Judgment - Negative - Your past mistakes catch up to you
Strength - Positive - You triumph through force
The Hierophant - Neutral - You discover something

Hmmmm....

I'm tempted to pick Hierophant because I think it would be interesting (and also that Strength could be saved for a much more appropriate moment), but also I know that the Hierophant is Ashley's resonant card and if I play it now, she won't be able to play it for quite some time.

@Digmata What do you think? If you don't want me to, I'll play Strength instead.
Usually, my characters try and do what they think is best, even if they're working with a faulty moral compass.

The Crow right now does not give a shit about morals. He's slightly drunk on power and wants the shiny.
