Just about done with my sheet. I was wondering how many liberties we could actually take? For example, if I said Asante had an herb that produced smoke with a smell that skavvers hated/avoided, could that be okay or would you rather things like that be discussed with you first @LordOfTheNight?

THE OUSAMA GAME | a Short-Term Horror

Hi everyone! I hope we aren't losing steam before we get to the really "fun" stuff!

I spoke with some of you that had concerns about posting "too soon" or too frequently - and I just wanted to say please don't worry about that! We aren't adhering to a posting order, and sometimes certain characters won't be affected by orders. In that case, it might be better to finish an order and move on to give other characters more things to do or react to.

  • Kept tightly strapped to his person, the rudimentary pistol is used more to ward off danger than to kill. Shots fired at distant foes rarely hit their mark, but it keeps them away. The gun has it's uses.
• Scimitar
  
  • A sharpened sword worn proudly on the hip. While he usually lets others handle the bulk of combat, Asante is proficient with the blade and the sight of it sometimes helps to deter would-be thieves.
• Dagger
  
  • A short dagger Asante keeps concealed in his pants leg. The blade is only 4 inches long, but it gets the job done.

Asante is a lithe young man of average height. His thin, flexible frame lets him more easily move through sands and ruins. He keeps his dark hair relatively short and wears breathable clothes in order to keep cool. He has bright blue eyes that perhaps hint to his perfect vision, letting him see over many miles or make things out more clearly at a distance. His tanned skin is common among the humans in the Exiled Lands.

Pretty much, though I am considering making the scale 20 so it breaks down more like this (assuming the stats we are looking at are strength):

1: Morbidly weak
2-3: Has trouble standing up in a strong breeze
4-5: Visibly weak
6-7: Difficulty pushing objects that are their own weight
8-9: Difficulty lifting heavy objects for long periods of time
10-11: Can lift heavy objects for a short period and can stay standing for several hours without break
12-13: Can perform physical labor for half a day without a break
14-15: Visibly toned and can carry heavy objects with one arm
16-17: Muscular. Can break wooden objects with bare hands and raw strength
18-19: Heavily muscular. Can perform the work of several men with ease
20: Pinnacle of strength

@LordOfTheNight, you mentioned having stats between 1-10 with 1 being "sickly" and 10 being super. I was curious as to if you have some kind of point buy system in mind? For example, what is to stop me from just putting 10 into all my stats (besides being a decent human being)?

Otherwise, would you say something like this is correct?

1-2 = Poorly skilled = D~D+
3-4 = Average = C~C+
5-6 = Above Average = B~B+
7-8 = Professional = A~A+
9-10 = Best of the best = S~S+
