A world without Digimon. It was a concept that Alison just couldn't comprehend. It would be like trying to imagine a world without trees or without birds or without stars. You take things like that for granted, especially when you've known and seen them all your life and they've simply become part of the status quo. They seem like just one of a thousand details that simply lend itself to making up an entire picture, and it was only when you removed a single detail - just _one_ - you realised it wasn't just a tiny, inconsequential feature. It was pillar, one of many, that was holding up the foundation, like Atlas the Titan holding up the sky so it wouldn't come crashing down onto the Earth. Alison knew this now, because a world without Digimon was the kind of world she was now living in. Well, almost. --- ### DIGIMON: ACCESS POINT --- Alison ducked her head down to stare down at her feet, her long side-fringe untucking itself away and unfurling itself into a curtain in front of her eyes as a familiar group of boys passed her. She couldn't see them, but she could tell they were smirking at her. One boy even shouted some stupid remark at her, but she dared not reply and merely waited until they passed before she dared to lift her hair again. She was sat outside the headmaster's office just next to the reception, a place she had found herself in so often that one of the receptionists had remarked that she should have her own special chair. It was probably meant as a light-hearted joke, but Alison had been in such a bad mood she had scowled at the woman, and the receptionist hadn't tried to speak much with her since. On the chair beside her, curled up in a ball like a cat, with its oversized head resting on the pointed tip of its tail, was a small creature that vaguely resemble a koala - or rather, a cartoony rendition of a koala - with the added addition of tiny horns, wings, a devilish tail and rather malicious claws. It was like something out of a child's drawings. At first glance, someone might have thought it no more than a soft toy, but on close inspection, one would see that it was breathing, its body rising and falling just a fraction with each inhale... exhale... inhale... exhale... Alison jumped out of her skin as one of the doors behind the reception desk opened, but relaxed when she saw it was only a bespectacled receptionist returning with some sheets. The woman gave Alison a thin smile as she passed her before sitting herself down behind her desk. Alison lowered her head and returned to staring at her shoes, examining every scuff or speck of dirt. She'd lost one of the laces for her left shoe long ago, and ever since it had been so loose on her foot she had to always walk slowly in fear that it would fall off. A few minutes passed. Every so often, the little koala would jump slightly out of its, slumber lift its head a fraction before immediately dropping it back down and falling back to sleep. More time passed. The receptionist got up and went into one of the back rooms again. Alison started to focus on the faint ticking of the clock in the background. Another person exited one of the back rooms, causing Alison to tense up yet again, but they quickly left, scurrying down the corridors in some frantic errand. Finally, Alison's patience whittled down to nothing and her nerves wrought and raw, she decided she could take it no longer. Hastily, she scooped up the koala in her arms, placed the creature in her bag which she had left resting by her feet, hoisted the bag of her shoulder and ran out of the reception room, charging down the corridor as quickly as she could and praying to God that no one saw her. She didn't even stop running after she had gotten outside the building. It was break time. Everyone was out in the playground. Pale gold rays of sunlight poured down from between the little cracks in the cloudy veil overhead, and Alison had to hold up a hand over her eyes to shield herself from the brightness as she stared at her various schoolmates, from the small first-years to the very adult teenagers in their final years of school. The sight was a little difficult for Alison to take, not because of the children themselves, but because they were all... missing something. Inside Alison's bag, the little koala-creature must have awoken because there was the sound of rustling paper, the bag started to move slightly and a small voice came out. "Alison," it said, a voice obviously female in tone. "What's happening?" "Shhhh!" Alison hissed quickly down at the bag before darting nervous glances around at the many face in the playground. When she was sure she had no one's attention, she darted sharply to the left, quickening her step as she made her way to the edges of the playground. "Alison?" the voice spoke up again. Irritably, Alison yanked the zip of her bag and closed it, meaning any more attempts for the creature to get her attention were now mostly muffled and concealed. She hurried down a large sloping hill where the terrain got slightly grassy and difficult to navigate. Finally though, Alison reached the car park, with the school gates in her sight. Behind her, she thought she heard someone call out her name, and she broke into a run, charging out the gates as quickly as she could not daring to look back. --- Once, every child had had a Digimon. At the age of ten, every child was sent an email from an address which was no more than bunch of jumbled characters and letters. When clicking on this email, always marked with the word 'TIME' in the subject bar, a powerful glow would radiate from the computer screen and a solid form would begin to materialise. When the light had cleared, you find that you had been given a gift. An egg. A digi-egg, to be more precise, and this egg would hatch into a Digimon. They all started off small and relatively simplistic in form. When Alison's egg had hatched, her newly-born partner, at the time called Conomon, had been no more than a brown, jelly-like blob with a long tail and three small horns on it's head. Conomon had been very cute, very small, very gentle, not much of a talker, but nonetheless, she was friendly and she seemed devoted to Alison from the moment she first opened her large eyes and looked up at the girl. Alison's older brother Josh, had already received his Digimon only two years prior, now a hulking half-reptile half-soldier creature called Commandramon, and was able to help his sister and talk her through the process, helping her to raise Conomon to the slightly larger Kokomon and then her current form, Phascomon. Alison loved Phascomon, finding the little koala-like Digimon adorable. It helped, of course, that she was relatively easy to take care of, being small and very portable, sleeping most of the time so she didn't need to be watched, obedient and friendly, must the opposite of what Commandramon had been like. Alison _loved_ Phascomon. But not everyone did. Phascomon was, for one, a virus-type, considered the most hostile and least easy to control. They were more animal-like, feral. People had constantly told Alison that even if Phascomon seemed docile now, once she first obtained Champion level, she start becoming more difficult - much like an actual teenager, Alison's mother once commented - and they told Alison to be careful. People were even more suspicious because of Phascomon's typing as a demonic Digimon. They thought she'd cause problems. Even more people thought that Phascomon was a sign that Alison herself was a problem. She'd gotten several lectures about how Phascomon was a 'sign' that she should change her ways and work to bettering herself before it was too late. These warnings became a self-fulfilling prophecy, and as time went by, Alison had become more distant from people, from those she had considered friends, now only keeping company with Phascomon, her brother and Commandramon. They were the only friends she needs, not the fakers who only pretended to help while secretly judging her. She hated them. She hated them all. That hate only worsened on that day when all the Digimon disappeared. It was a day like any other, her, her brother, Phascomon and Commandramon all deciding to go bowling with a couple of Josh's friends. They had been having fun, laughing. Alison had been in good spirits that day. However, just as they had finished the first game and were about to start up a second, the light came. It rushed in, obscuring their vision and blinding them. They were without sight for what felt like ten minutes, and when the light finally cleared, all the Digimon were gone. All of them, that was, except for Phascomon. --- "Where to?" the bus driver asked as Alison fumbled with the coins in her bag. Thankfully, Phascomon decided not to cry out at this point, but simply kept silent until Alison had placed the coins down in front of the driver. She said the name of a street near her home before making her way to the back of the bus. The bus was mostly empty aside from a elderly man sitting near the front a woman on her phone, speaking very loudly. Alison sat on one of the backseats. "Alison? Where are we going?" Phascomon's frightened voice came from inside the bag. "Home," Alison said simply, placing the bag on her lap. "What about your school?" Phascomon's head peaked out slightly. "You'll get into trouble." "I don't care," Alison answered. She took out her mobile phone and started texting Josh, telling him she wouldn't be coming home with him tonight. She knew he wouldn't question any lame excuse, and simply wrote that she had been deemed to sick and sent home. He wouldn't care. Josh hadn't really cared about much since Commandramon's disappearance. "Your mum is going to be super mad at you," Phascomon warned. "I don't care," Alison mumbled again, sinking further into her seat and letting out a loud sigh. "We should go back to your school," Phascomon continued. "If we hurry, we can get back before the headmaster calls you in." "I'm not going back," Alison said. "I'm never going back to that stupid school." "You have to go back sometime." "No." "Yes." "_No_, Phascomon," Alison hissed sternly. The elderly man on the front seats glance back at her awkwardly, and Alison averted her gaze. "Just be quiet, okay? Everything's going to be fine." Phascomon stared up at her for a moment longer before retreating back into the dark depths of her bag, albeit reluctantly. Sighing to herself, Alison continued flicking through her phone. She decided to check her texts. None. Josh hadn't replied yet. Her emails? She checked. Nothing of note, just more of those spam. She'd started receiving them only three days after the Digimon had vanished. They were all from the same address and all of them were marked 'no subject'. Alison had dismissed them as spam. When she had receive several of the same email - quite persistent for just some spam messages - Phascomon had suggested she open at least one of them, Alison had actually be quite tempted. However, there was still a chance it could end up infecting her computer with some sort of virus and, as she'd bluntly put it to Phascomon, "Ain't nobody got time for that." However, as she scanned her emails, seeing the most recent message from EBE (what kind of name was that anyway?) she noted that something was... different about this one. At first, she wasn't sure what it was until she noted the subject bar. Where on the previous emails from EBE there was no subject, this one did. It was marked 'TIME'. The same as the email she had clicked when she had first received Phascomon. Seeing this made Alison's eyes widen slightly. She hesitated for moment, finger pausing over the email. Could phones catch viruses, she wondered? Well, now she was so curious, and already pretty down, she couldn't care less. _I regret nothing,_ she thought to herself daringly before clicking on the email. There was a momentary pause as the page seemed to be loading. Then suddenly, the world around Alison started to feel like it was moving... very slowly. When she looked around, she noticed something was strange. She was still on the bus, but there were no other passengers. Had they gotten off when she wasn't looking? What was even weirder, though, was why was it so dark outside? It was only 2:00pm last time she checked, but now, when she looked out the window, it was pitch black. "What the hell...?" Alison muttered to herself. Suddenly, Alison felt a burning feeling on her palm and quickly dropped her phone. It landed on the floor of the bus but surprisingly didn't break. Instead, it was glowing. "Alison, are you okay?" Phascomon's concerned voice came out of the bag and she jumped out and onto Alison's shoulder. Alison nursed her hand close to her chest. "Argh... that _hurt," she hissed. She looked down at the phone, which was now cloud with a radiant gold light. Alison stared at it for a long moment before the light cleared away to reveal that phone had changed shape. A shape that Alison recognised. "Is this...?" She leaned down and picked up her now changed phone. "No, it can't be." She'd seen pictures of this kind of device all over the web, usually in articles about the first appearances Digimon, and they were often mentioned in school. Digital devices, or digivices, were special machines given in the past to children that had communicated with the Digital World and provided them with a direct link to their Digimon and was used to be of help when performing digivolutions. No one knew how they worked, where they came, not even Aegiomon, the messenger Digimon of the Olympos XIII, had known. These days, since every kid had a Digimon partner, a more widespread method had been developed for 'tamers', as people who owned a Digimon were called, to monitor their Digimon: a phone app which was mandatory to be installed into your phone after you had received a Digimon. It served the exact same purpose as a Digivice. But now... Now, Alison was holding the _real thing_. _This is a dream, right?_ she thought to herself. _Yeah... this must be a dream. I'm so full of stress that I fell asleep on the bus and this is just some crazy dream._ Just as those thoughts left her head, the screen on her 'digivice', previously all black like that of a computer in sleep mode, lit up. First it was merely blank screen, but slowly, words appeared across it, slowly, letter by letter, as if someone were typing them out as Alison watched. It said: "THIS IS NOT A DREAM, ALISON." Alison stared blankly at the screen. "... whah?" She gaped down at the little device in her hand. "What the...?" The screen turned blank again, only for new writing to slowly appear, just as before. "I HOPE YOU KNOW HOW TO DRIVE." "Huh?" Alison said, at first lost. Phascomon, however, was quicker on the uptake. "Alison! The driver's seat!" she exclaimed, raising her voice for the first time Alison had ever heard. "Crap!" Alison charged over to the front of the bus. There was no one in the driver's compartment. She grabbed for the door, which luckily wasn't locked, and swung it open. The bus seemed to be getting faster now, and with the darkness in front of her, Alison could barely see where she was going. "Alison! You don't have a license!" Phascomon protested as her tamer plonked herself down in the driver's seat and grabbed for the wheel with such force, she probably could yanked it right off. "Somehow, Phascomon, I don't think that matters right now!" Alison shouted back. The moment she looked back towards the front of the bus, the world around her was no longer dark, but suddenly getting brighter, and brighter, until a powerful burst of light flowed in from the windows and filled the bus, blinding Alison. She screamed at the top of her lungs before her mind could no longer take the strain and she felt herself black out.

"Someone, help!" the cry came from up a tree in a park. A kid, no older than 7 or 8 years old had apparently climbed up to where he now sat, but couldn't climb back down. Stuck in the tree, the kid was crying out for someone to bring him back down. Why he had climbed up the tree, and how, were of no consequence. The point was that he was up there, and he was now stuck. The boy cried out louder, surely someone else was in the park and would hear him. And he was right, someone *did* hear him. That someone now stood at the base of the tree, looking right up at the boy with his arms crossed intensely. "No," said Daigo in response, showing no intention of climbing the tree, "if you're strong enough, you'll get down on your own." "But... I can't!" the boy said, on the verge of crying. "You got yourself up there," said Daigo, still not moved by the cries of help, "so that means you can get yourself down." "But I'm scared!" "Then face your fear, kid!" shouted Daigo, now glaring up at the kid, "You're going have to prove your strength to the world some day, and sitting up in a tree and crying like that isn't the way. Now come on! Show me your strength and jump down here!" said Daigo, now actually goading the kid into jumping. Reluctant at first, the boy then swallowed hard and pushed himself from the branch he was sitting on. Before he could hit the ground, though, Daigo had lunged forth and caught the kid in his arms so as to soften the landing before the kid's feet touched the ground, "You see?" asked Daigo, standing back up, "I told you you were strong." he smirked a bit, ruffling the kid's hair with his hand and then going to leave without another word. He could hear the kid shouting a thank you behind, but Daigo only offered a silent wave as he continued to walk. --- At his home, a fifth floor apartment, Daigo entered the door and lazily plumped down on the living room couch. He grabbed a nearby remote and switched the TV on, but didn't really pay attention to what was happening. Some kind of news report, Daigo was hardly paying attention to it. Suddenly he heard a voice that didn't belong to either of his parents. "Anything interesting happen while you were out?" it was Elecmon, the beast digimon had come out of Daigo's room and was now sitting on the floor in front of the couch, staring up curiously at his tamer. Daigo recalled the kid, shrugged, and said, "Not really." "I see..." replied Elecmon, before he perked up again, "Oh, you got another one of those emails earlier." At this, Daigo sighed with exasperation as he stood up and went into his room. *When will these people give it up already?* He wondered as he sat at his computer and powered it on. While he waited he took a cursory glance around the familiar surroundings in his room. In particular at a sizable collection of trophies on a shelf, all coming from something called the "Rumble Arena". Back when everyone had Digimon, some thought it would be an entertaining idea to pit Tamers and their Digimon against one another, to see who was doing a better job of training their Digimon. They called it the Rumble Arena, and Daigo naturally took to it, seeing it as a good chance to show his strength to the world by conquering any and every rival who challenged him. He became good at it, well known for it in fact. But then that light event happened and everyone's Digimon vanished. Rumbles stopped happening after that, since there were no Digimon to battle with. Daigo felt cheated after that. All that training he and Elecmon did, all the hard earned victories, it all felt like a waste now. It was as if it no longer had any meaning. This of course angered Daigo, and even just thinking about it caused him to lash out and punch the wall. Of course the beeping of his computer interrupted any further thought. It was now completely powered on, so Daigo went online to check his emails. Sure enough, there was another of those weird emails sent by that person named EBE. "How many is this, now? I lost count..." muttered Daigo to himself. Maybe if he responded to it they would finally leave him alone? Well, simply ignoring the emails wasn't solving anything, so it wouldn't hurt to read what they had to say, and so Daigo clicked on it. The message contained only a single statement. "Time for what?" asked Daigo, confused. Then he blinked, looking at the screen, "Wait, what?" the message at first had read "It is time" but now it said something else: "Check your pocket, Daigo.". Daigo quickly got up from his chair, "Okay, that's the last time I ever click on one of those..." as he said this, he felt a hot sensation from his pocket. He reached for his phone, but when he pulled it out... it wasn't his phone anymore. It was a mysterious electronic device, red and gold in color, "Is this a...?" he wondered, but blacked out before he could finish the thought.

Taeyeon was to busy being in school late at night trying to study for her finals tomorrow. And she was basically the only one there, but ofcourse her professor was there looking at her study. It did seem like he wanted to leave but he did promise her that he will teach her a few things before tomorrow! As she finished her studies, Taeyeon smiled at her professor waiving goodbye at him. "Thank you so much, sir. I have to get home before it gets more late." she said bowing at him while she walked backwards. As she did she hit herself against the door. "Ouch..!" the pinkhaired girl yelled turning back at the professor. "I'm fine, haha...just fine." Now she got off the school walking towards the bus stop as she hopped the bus and on her way home! Not much people were in the bus because it was late, even Taeyeon was scared and worried that something bad might happen to her.. never know if someone just grabs the girl and kidnaps her! But good thing she brought a pepper spray that Palmon got for her. Yes, Palmon got a pepperspray for her tamer, how did she get it? She used her vine to steal it from Taeyeon's mother. Palmon thought that Taeyeon needed it more when Palmon wasn't going to be around. Besides, Palmon didn't want to go school while Taeyeon studies, she said that it would be a bit boring and not fun. But studying can be fun..! If you make it fun that is. An hour later, Taeyeon finally made it to her home, safe and sound! Her parents were sleeping alrea- well not her father.. he was there waiting for her. "This will be the last time that you will stay in school this late. I understand you have exams but be more earlier..." he said a little mad but he was surely sleepy. Taeyeon nodded at her father. "Yes dad... I promise.." and now she made her way to her room looking around for her digimon, Palmon. Palmon was looking outside the window, hearing the door behind hear opening and then closing. It was her tamer! How happy was for Taeyeon to come. "I thought something bad happened to you!" she said running to Taeyeon. "Mm. Did you use your pepper spray?" Palmon asked tilting her head to the side but Taeyeon just shook her head. "No.. Palmon..." she blushed, laughing. Taeyeon sat down on her bed, looking at Palmon. "So, what do you want to d-.." but then she saw something glowing coming out of her backpack. She quickly went to see what it was, it was probably her phone, maybe a text. But it wasn't ... her phone wasn't there no more.. it was a different device. "I...Pa..-Palmon.. is this..?" she turned to her digimon but before Palmon answered Taeyeon. **Taeyeon blacked out.**

"Hey, listen!" A voice called out. Annaliese grumbled. It was an unwelcome voice so early in the morning. "Hey, listen!" Maybe it wasn't the voice itself was unwelcome, but the annoying noise it produced that was. "Watch out!" Not long after Annaliese's face was hit with something soft. A feeling of annoyance came over the girl. "Gah! What's with you Tinkermon!?" Annaliese exclaimed to her friend and partner, Tinkermon. The mischievous fairy Digimon merely snicker with a foul looking smile. Annoyed, Annaliese took the pillow she got hit with and returned it with a bit more force. Tinkermon received it full force while not paying attention, laughing at what her human's annoyed face looked like. "Idiot. Don't start a war you can't win." A smug smile wore across her face, like a general winning a battle. Recovering a few seconds later, Tinkermon replied, "Oh, it is on!" A war started that day. The first battle, Battle of Annatitum. The battle raged for minutes, the war about as long. Many brave animals, stuffed of honor and pillows, threaded with glory, fought that day. Many live, and much less died. The fighting continued until a third army entered the room. "Miss Annaliese," A servant that went by the name of Hilda. Much contrary to the meaning of her name, she was much more a pacifist than a fighter. She was a shorter woman, probably just into her early twenties as was evidenced by the Salamon she had following her around at one point, not anymore though of course.. "Please, stop this rough-housing with Tinkermon. If Mister or Misses Kaufmann were to catch you. . ." The two stopped. There was never any fun to be had in that house. Annaliese's adoptive parents put a stop to that a long time ago. As much as Annaliese hated it, she could really feel anything negative about Hilda. She was just watching out for the two after all. "Fine, I understand" Annaliese said, regrettably putting down the pillow she was about to launch at her partner. She wasn't prepared for the stray pillow that hit her in the face, "Ouf." She muttered staring annoyedly at Tinkermon, who just looked away as if nothing happened. "I'm sorry, Miss Annaliese." Hilda spoke softly. Annaliese just nodded, "No, thanks for looking after me I guess." Hilda make a slight bow and walked off. "Guess I should get ready for school?" She sighed as she started to get ready . . . _______________ School was. . . Well, school. Really. Nothing really out of the ordinary. . . Well, other than no one having their digimon. It was weird. Everything felt. . . Well, dead. People with small digimon tended to carry them around in her school. Tinkermon was one of the most well known in the school. Not for fame. In fact, it was for infamy. If a prank was pulled, it was expected that it was Tinkermon who did it. Of course, Annaliese had to have a good word with her most every time. Except for the time someone actually deserved it. There were words, but they were of praise rather than, "You idiot, what are you doing? Are you trying to get me in trouble?" Tinkermon still showed her face around school. It was hopeful sign to the students who had been missing their Digimon. The day continued on as usual. Classes, followed by classes, followed by lunch followed by more classes. A boring day to be sure. Still, her favorite part of the entire day was coming up. The end of the school day. The school computer lab was open and she got to check her email. "I wonder if there is a reply yet!" She said as she got to sit down at the computer chair with Tinkermon. The fairy just sat at the desk and watched as Annaliese scrolled through her internet browser and type in her email address and password. "I wonder." Tinkermon mumbled as Annaliese started looking at her new messages. "Junk, junk, junk. . . Oh, that one's new. TIME, it says." She joked around as Annaliese attempted to ignore the banter as she found the message she was looking for. "Oh. Here it is!" The girl was happy to report to the empty room before reading it aloud, "Ahem, 'Dear Anna. I'm glad to hear you doing well again. I'm sorry that your parents are still like that, so many years later. Oh! I got adopted! They're a nice family. . . I wish they took me too. . ." She trailed off, opting to not reading aloud the rest. It was a silence for a while with Tinkermon making motions trying to make the situation less awkward for her, to no avail of course. "Well,I'm glad to hear that. Agatha was like a sister to me. I'm glad she finally got picked up by a good family." A smile rose across her face, forced as it may be. Tinkermon hated when her friend got into this type of mood. "Yea, that's good for her. Oh! You're finished right? I want to see what kind of stupid thing that TIME email had in it. Someone joking around about you getting another egg?" The Digimon was just trying to egg her friend on, but it didn't work. "Nope, they say you shouldn't open emails from things you don't know." Annaliese said with her eyes closed for a lecture, "They might contain things that harm the computer they're opened on." "It's okay. You don't have to open it anymore." Click. "I just did." Tinkermon said with a smile. She just wanted to sate her curiosity. "Nothing bad right?" Annaliese's eyes opened in a flash at the click, "What do you think you're doing!" Just as she was about to continue on, there was a bright light from her school-bag. The two looked curiously and Annaliese opened it to find what cause the light. Her calculator was gone. It was an expensive thing, but she didn't care for it anyhow. What was surprising is what was there in it's place. A black and white device. Nothing she had ever seen before. "Heyheyhey!" Tinkermon exclaimed at looking at it, "Isn't that like, you know? A digivice!?" Annaliese nodded out of confusion and had to have it explained to her, "It's something that there was a long time ago supposedly. "That's what I think it is at least." "Is that so?" Annaliese said, still confused. If it was something from a long time ago, why would it appear now? Does it have to do with the missing digimon or something? It was a digi-something after all. "Well, maybe we should go. . . What?" Looking around, the room was. . . Different. She wasn't exactly sure how. It was the same room, for the most part. It felt. . . Dead. There was no one there beside them, but it never felt like it was absolutely empty before. "Do you feel that?" "A bone chilling dread? No. I don't feel that. Emptiness on the other hand. . ." Tinkermon said smartassedly. With a sigh, Annaliese looked around, finding no one. "Hey look at the computer monitor. It's all funky." The two's attention on it now, it began to display a weird static. Annaliese muttered, "I don't feel so gu--." And promptly passed out. Tinkermon muttered afterward, "Me eithe--." And followed into dreamland.

It was after school, and Karn was walking home from school, a lionlike cub creature resting on his shoulders. Forepaws with long claws resting against the top of his blonde head, as the creature sat against the back with back legs dangling over the boy's shoulders. Though unlike most lions, this one had a reddish mane and a golden collar with a green gem. A Digimon called Leormon, a quite respected type by most people. Considering it was a tough Digimon even as a rookie. At one point, they had even entered into competition, mostly to Leormon's insistance since Karn didn't really like fighting for sport. Still, the little feline Digimon managed to take down even a Champion level Digimon in battle just as a rookie. Of course it was just a lucky bit from the Critical Bite attack, but Leormon was quite proud with himself over it. Another reason was because he was a Holy Beast, and some believed it meant good fortune for someone to have a holy Digimon. Karn wouldn't have mind any Digimon, even a virus, but he was glad to have Leormon. He had been a great friend, and he would have been sad if he had lost him along with many of people who once had partners of their own. As Karn walked along, he noticed a little girl crying over what appeared to be a doll with its head ripped off. The blonde boy smiled and walked over, kneeling down and picking it up before reaching in his pocket and taking out a mini sewing kit and stiching the cloth doll together. Once finished, he handed it to her and patted the top of her head before heading off to home. When reaching there, his step father was there to greet him. **"Karn dear, would you help me with my clothing line? I'd really appreciate it."** the tall man spoke, his figure lean and skinny but tall. He was 7'0 and was pale as a ghost, with long white hair pulled in a low ponytail and lavender colored eyes. **"Sure thing Dad!"** Karn chirped, but Leormon let out a bored tone. **"Nooooo I don't want to dress in girly things!"** the lion like Digimon whined. Karn simply chuckled and picked up the Digimon and set him on top of a chair, who boredly groaned and rolled on his back and lounged on the chair. Several hours passed and Karn ended up, once again, in a girly outfit. He wore a pink dress with white lace lining that went down to the knees and silken gloves, leggings and a choker. As well as black heels. Leormon had passed out, after the first hour of whining. Karn chuckled as his step father went to his study before picking up the pile of his regular clothes and curiously flipping his phone open. Checking his email, again he got this mysterious email by EBE but this one was different. Being titled with the subject as 'TIME' indicating that this email may indicate getting another Digimon. Odd, it was rare for people to get two Digimon, especially now that so many disappeared. At the moment, the lion Digimon decided to jump on his head in examination to the email. A wide grin on his muzzle. **"Awesome! I'll get brother or sister to practice with and play with!"** Leormon said eagerly. Karn slightly smiled at the eagerness but was a little more cautious. **"Well it could be just a prank with a virus attached, Leo. After all, if it was another DigiEgg, they probably would of sent it to begin with."** the short teen suggested. **"This coming from the guy who looks exactly like some girl right now."** Leormon said ironically before grinning as he reached a claw out and pressed the enter button on the phone. Karn blinked but it was too late as the email open and his phone glowed a golden color, burning his hand and forcing him to drop it. **"You okay?"** Leormon asked worriedly, but Karn simply nodded before picking up his phone... That didn't seem to be a phone anymore. But a actual Digivice! The real thing! However, the world around him seemed to fade away, and he fell into unconsciousness.

Winter. It was finally here. Ever since she came to New York for her studies, she missed the cold temperatures of her home. It resonated well with her mindset. She always figured it was something she inherited from her father's side. there was indeed very little of her american mother in her. The only downside was the annoying Santa and the obnoxious, Christmas decorated coca cola truck. The Russian part of her she stubbornly clung to motherland's traditions, making her stick out like a sore thumb. Sometimes it got frustrating to have to explain it all over and over. She could never understand the degree to which the Americans were a consumer society. And what she couldn't understand at all was why someone would pick a fat guy who would creep into your house in the night for a Christmas icon. In Russia, Santa Claus would have been dead a long time ago. That was why she stuck with her Russian traditions. Right now, Nonna was on her way home, window shopping in the streets for some gifts to send home. Usually her mom would come over for the holidays, but this year she managed to break her leg on a slippery sidewalk and had to stay home. And dad was always too busy - not that she particularly longed to see the man. When she got home, her cheeks and nose were bright red from the cold. Getting a fresh piece of gum, she flipped the kettle on to make some tea. It was her mother's old apartment where she lived now. It was an open space place, with only the bath and bedrooms separated by a wall, making the place look bigger than it actually was. One of its walls was a giant window that stared down on the street. The girl went to change and grab the steaming mug, melting into the sofa. It was a day exactly like this when she received her Digi-Egg. she remembered how lonely the place felt. Nonna used to wish that Dedushka Moroz would bring her a friend. Or at least the kitten she kept asking for. Then the E-Mail arrived. Of course she expected that to happen, but she didn't know how to feel about it at the time. She was already used to having some responsibilities, but one for an actual living being... It turned out that at the time Metalkoromon could take care of itself quite well. After it fed on the data in her computer, wiping the drive in the process to her great displeasure, Kapurimon quickly proved to be exactly the companion she wanted. Then she digivolved into a black Pawnchessmon - Nonna wasn't sure whether it was her hobby influencing the digimon or if she was given this one because of it - and they bonded even closer, quite often playing the game or sparring. Some things never changed though. Looking towards the bedroom, She spotted Pawnchessmon deep asleep. Yep, sleeping and eating were universally the top two digimon pasttimes. Smiling, the girl turned on her laptop to do homework. checking the e-mail beforehand, she stopped. Usually her spam filter caught these things fairly reliably, but it appeared one piece of internet garbage got to her inbox none the less. with a shrug, Nonna opened the message, trusting her high-end antivirus to warn her if it was something fishy. What she didn't expect was for her blackberry to start glowing like a pocket star. Looking over what was left of the phone, a frown appeared on her otherwise smooth face as the gears in her head spun, trying to make sense of what was happening. Weird. She'd have to ask Pawnchessmon whether the strange device her phone turned into reminded her of something. But surely that could wait until the digimon woke up. In fact, she felt a little sleepy herself. Stretching, her head hit the cushions of the couch and her mind was shrouded in darkness.

Sure, the West Coast was sunny as all get-out usual, but right now the world outside was a bit too cold for some, especially in the lounge of a small apartment in Modesto, California, where a young bald boy dressed in a thick blue woollen cardigan, baggy purple sweatpants and a pair of striped grey and white wool socks lay on the carpeted floor. He was absentmindedly watching the gathering precipitation on the glass door that looked out on to the balcony, three stories up. The sky was roiling and rolling with dark grey clouds as the boy pulled his beanie down lower over his head and huffed a cloud of hot air, visible in the chill of the room. He couldn't help but feel a bit down as he watched the rain pelt against the door and dribble down to run off the balcony through slits in the bottom of the concrete railing. Curled up in his arms was a small creature, a mass of feathers that vibrated ever so slightly with every light snore that it uttered. It kicked out with a leg in its sleep and groaned weakly. 'Must be off dreaming again. Playing some game outside instead of being stuck inside. Must be nice.' The boy smiled as he looked down at the bundle of grey feathers and down in his arms, uttering a short hum of contentment before a sudden flash of bright light emerged from the sky for but a second, before dispersing in the same instant. The smile he previously held was drooping as he saw two more lights emit from the skies in short order, and as the loud cracks and terrible rumbling shook the door, he jumped and his smile was struck from his face. The bundle in his arms leapt to its birdlike feet with the commotion, before falling back onto its behind again with a look over its shoulder at the now-shaking boy. It was a short, silent moment before the bird spoke in its lilting, chirpy voice. "Did the storm spook you again, Alika?" Its expression was furrowed with concern, bringing its grey and purple crest of feathers lower down on its head as the red tail-feathers on its behind drooped to the floor. Alika could do nothing but sit with his back against the couch and his legs tight against his chest, but slowly he nervously nodded at the creature and it hooted sadly as its coat became flat. The bird creature pushed its round body from the floor and strode over to him and sat in front of his feet, wrapping its wing-arms around his ankles and regarding him with a look of worry. "Well its just lightning and thunder Ali, it can't get us if we're inside. Please don't worry so much." Its large golden eyes shifted ever few moments, trying to judge his emotions. The worry did not fade at all. Alika continued to shake until another voice, slightly more mature but still feminine like the creatures came from Alika's side. "Alika, Faye, what are you two doing on the floor?" Alika's head snapped to his side with alarm as he was met with the sock-garbed ankles of his mother. She smiled down at him when he looked up, but also grew worried when she saw the boy's quivering. She slowly and gracefully got down to her knees and wrapped her arms around her son with a sad sigh. "Still after all these years, you're afraid of storms?" Her words were slightly condescending, but her tone was one of motherly concern. Alika bit his lip and leaned into his mother's embrace, nodding slightly. 'More like terrified beyond thought.' Another bolt from the grey sea overhead made him jump slightly, and his mother attempted to calm him with a soft shushing, patting him on the head. "Is it because of the big storm back home?" She inquired further, inciting another weak nod from her son. She couldn't help but grab his chin with a soft grip and turn his head towards her, so she could look into his eyes and speak. "Sweetheart, I've told you so many times, the storms back home aren't nearly as bad as the ones here. Our home is much stronger here too, so it might sound scary, but it will never get as bad as before. Promise." Her voice as stern, but honest. Alika simply nodded along. Then she spoke softly to him, "Why don't you and Faye go to your room and put some music on your computer? Your father finally fixed that double adaptor thing that your sister broke, so both you and Faye could listen to something... That is if the headphones fit on Faye's head." She giggled, it was a pleasant, bubbly noise and Alika felt slightly calmer hearing it. Faye crossed her arms and huffed, strutting off towards Alika's room on her three-toed feet, but not before hopping in to tickle at Alika's mother's ribs. Alika's mother jumped and her giggles devolved into snorting, wheezing laughter before Falcomon raced off to the bedroom, chortling evilly the entire way. Alika smiled as his mother let him go, and rose to step over her on the floor. She seemed to just stay there, smiling at him warmly. He gave her a small wave, which she returned, before sliding into his room slowly. Faye was already sitting on the bed, cooing quietly. She had already set the headphones up to Alika's computer, on the desk next to the bed, and managed to put her headphones on with little difficulty. She smiled as best as a creature with a beak can, and bounced on the spot, chirping and hooting excitedly. "Hooo! Hoohoooo! Play Groovin' Slowly! Pleaaaaaaase? For me?" Alika smiled as she put her wings together in a mock begging gesture and browsed to his music. He double-clicked and soon both pairs of headphones where filled with the calming sounds of light guitar and slow bass. Faye's head began to bob slowly as the music played, beak opening and clacking closing as the mouthed the words. Alika felt calmer as the chorus started. And as he checked his email, he too couldn't help but give in to the rhythm and words, singing under his breath. "Groovin' Slowlyyyyy," he logged in and clicked his inbox, expecting nothing but more spam and invitations to stupid browser-based farm games, "With my woman." He looked over to Faye as the webpage loaded, her large eyes were closed and her head was looking down at her stomach as she bobbed from side to side, in a trance. There was a new message. From EBE. Another message from EBE. A message titled 'TIME'. His heart sped up slightly as he clicked it straight away. Was this another digi-egg? As he clicked it, he heard a strange whining. He thought maybe corruption in the song, because Falcomon seemed to hear it as well, with her much sharper ears. She flipped her headphones off and hopped off the bed, walking over to Alika's school-bag to root around inside. "Uhhhh, hoohoo boy. Alika, remember how you had that Gameboy in your bag?" Alika stood as she pulled the now-shining handheld console from the black bag. It shifted and morphed until it became a shape that he vaguely recognised. This can't be happening, it was always phones that changed, right? He didn't even have a phone! The light solidified and dimmed as Faye held a digivice in her talons, out to him. 'This isn't happening. This can't be happening.' His mind said for him as they both stared with mouths agape. Alika was the first to recover and spoke. "I think I just got gipped out of a Gameboy."

"Gaomon, you're scaring all of my new friends away again!" a young, blonde boy complained as he sat at a round lunch table, picking at the disgusting heap of slime that they called grape jelly in this school. He had the left side of his cheek pressed into his left palm while his right held the spork, gently stabbing at the slime and pushing it around in its tray. He was alone at the round table now, but just a moment ago there had been a small group of friends sitting around him throwing some kind of cards down on the table now that they had finished eating. The cards themselves had rather interested him, as they not only looked kind of cool, but there seemed to be some kind of game made out of them. He could barely follow what was going on as the game was moving at a ridiculously fast pace, with cards getting thrown down on the table, moved to a discard pile of some kind while other cards were flipped over consistently. He had started asking what it was about, but it had been at that point that Gaomon had finally caught up with him again. Soon afterward, they had left. He couldn't understand the reason why. "Master Henry, they were hardly friends," Gaomon replied flatly, sitting on the seat beside him. The blue, bipedal dog-like Digimon wore boxing gloves on his arms at all times, a practice which Henry constantly vocalized its oddity. "You did not know a single one of them. And they were already giving you dark looks as you talked. If they left you simply because your servant continues to follow you, then that must be something wrong with them." "That's always your excuse," Henry complained in response. "Oh well, it can't be helped." He then smiled slightly and lifted his head again, looking over at Gaomon. "I suppose it is better that I kept my Digimon. I mean, I would have been rather upset if it turned out that you had died like the others or something. Haha...wouldn't that have put a damper on things this weekend?" "Master, with all due respect, I humbly request that you speak of such ill things with a greater regard for their dark nature." the digimon said, bowing his head slightly. "And we have no reason to suspect the...incapacitation of the other Digimon." "Well, they're gone, aren't they?" Henry replied, waving Gaomon's sentiments away with his right arm, accidentally splattering some of the jelly that had been stuck to the spork in his hand in Gaomon's direction. The digimon did not move, although he had plenty of time to do just that. The jelly struck him on top of his muzzle, which he ignored completely. "That's as good as dead to me." In truth, Henry was the reason the other kids had deserted the table. He had spoken of Gaomon and the other kids' Digimon in a much similar manner. This was a typical day for the two at this point. Ever since the other Digimon in the world seemed to simply vanish into thin air one morning, everybody else avoided them even more than they had before. They were probably just jealous that his Digimon had stuck around, but he didn't particularly care. After all, it was entirely possible that they had all been taken away for a specific reason. And since Gaomon hadn't been taken away, he must not have done anything wrong. If anything, this was a good sign for him, right? He was even more special now than he was before. It wasn't long until the middle school's bell rang once again, causing him to stand up from his seat and make his way to his sixth period classroom, with Gaomon at his heels like usual. When they arrived at the classroom, Gaomon followed him inside. Usually, a Digimon would have been required to wait outside until class was over, since they did not want the children to have such a distraction or, worse, use their special powers to cheat. However, Gaomon always stuck with him and he refused to leave, no matter how much the teachers insisted otherwise. Eventually, his parents had had a discussion with the principal of the school and gotten him special permission. Gaomon was not to let him out of his sight, so it was imperative that he stay with him in the classrooms as well. It also probably helped that none of Gaomon's special abilities would assist him in any unfair manner. Eventually, school was let out and the two began to take their usual walk home in moderate silence. Occasionally, Henry would point something out and laugh about it while Gaomon simply listened to him and acknowledged his words. This time, however, there was an unusual incident that occurred merely a block away from their return home. There was a trio of loud honking sounds, followed by what seemed to be screeching tires and then a loud, almost disturbing crunching sound that caused Gaomon to flinch slightly. A vehicle that had spun around a corner much too quickly had ended up crashing head-on with another vehicle that had been making its way around the same corner. "Oh wow, wasn't that cool?" Henry asked, a grin appearing on his face. "I've never seen a crash in real life before! I wonder if somebody died?" he then paused for a moment as he thought harder about it. "...That would be a drag, actually. I don't want a bunch of police cars taking up the street. Those lights are really annoying to look at." "Master, I do not mean to interrupt, but perhaps we should be on our way?" Gaomon insisted, looking up at Henry. "We never know what kind of characters might-" But Henry was already dashing toward the accident, rather than away from it. However, it was not the accident that now had his attention. Rather, it was the small figure beneath the two automobiles. The figure had four legs and a short yet bushy tail. It was a small dog of some description. One of the vehicles had caught fire, causing both drivers to abandon their vehicles and move to a safer distance, just to be safe. The dog was hiding under the opposite one, away from the flames. Henry made his way out onto the street, despite the protests of the dog digimon at his heels and the other people around him. He had already climbed down onto the street road and attempted to push his arms underneath so that he could grab the dog by the scruff of the neck. However, he was not able to pull the dog out like he wanted to. The vehicle was crumpled in such a way that the metal framework had been lowered so much that this was an impossible escape route. He then looked back, expecting his Digimon to be by his side as he usually was. "Gaomon," he said calmly, despite the roaring flames of the opposite car a few feet away from him. "Can you...er...man, what was that called again?" Finally, after a few moments of silent thinking, shook his head, fed up with trying to remember. "Just do, the, uh...the thing. You know. The thing you do." Gaomon did not need to be told twice. He got into a stance and raised his gloved fists, facing the car. "Gao Rush!" he called, slamming his punches in such a flurry that they were nothing more than a blur of red rubber. He slammed his fists against the car door, punching it farther inward with each punch. As the metal bent inward, it lifted itself away from the ground, widening the gap between the ground and the frame. Finally, Henry managed to barely pull the dog out from underneath the car. "There ya go, little guy." Henry said with a smile. "You could've died if you stayed down there. But you can go now." He then set the now-panicked dog back on the ground, who immediately started running in the opposite direction. Now that the dog was gone, Gaomon reached out, opened his boxing glove hands, grabbed hold of Henry's wrist and pulled him back down the road, away from the crowd of onlookers that were already starting to applaud him. The last thing that Gaomon wanted was for Henry to be the center of attention. Thankfully, none of the crowd followed them and they were able to escape into a small alleyway, hidden away from the main street. "Aww, what was that for, Gaomon?" Henry muttered, putting his hands behind his head, now that he had finally been let go. "I was starting to make some new friends again." "Deepest apologies, sir." Gaomon replied, bowing his head in apology. "However, I felt it necessary to remove you from the situation before something more happened." "Oh well." the boy said. "Let's just go home, huh? As fun as that was, nobody died and it wasn't as interesting as I thought it'd be." Gaomon withheld a sigh and instead directed his attention above him, toward the boy's face. "Sir, if you do not mind my asking...why did you go help that animal, then?" "I dunno." Henry replied. "I just saw a dog and I didn't want him to die for some reason." Gaomon looked questioningly at Henry, as though the response baffled him. However, he merely shrugged his shoulders, trying to ignore his curiosity. "Come, Master, I believe it is time that we returned home for the day." "Right, right." Henry said. Together, the two began making their way back toward their home, with Gaomon leading them down a path away from where the police lights were already starting to become visible. --- Eventually, the two found themselves back in Henry's room as though nothing had ever happened in the first place. Neither one of them mentioned the incident and Henry found himself sitting down in his usual spot in his mostly-bare room, laying down on his bed and twirling a plain hat that he always kept in his room, yet never wore on his fingertip. Although sometimes, he liked to place it on Gaomon's head. He did always look relatively nice in a hat. Eventually growing bored of sitting there with Gaomon staring at the door, he decided to reach down into his pocket and retrieve his cell phone from his pocket. He clicked a few icons on it, eventually loading up his internet browser. For a short while, he watched videos on his phone about various different subjects until his phone beeped at him. He recognized the sound immediately and knew what it was before the notification showed up from the top of the phone's screen. He tapped the notification and it immediately brought a new window on his phone's display. The e-mail that he had assigned to his phone came up quickly and he looked at the new message. He usually ignored them, as nobody important ever bothered to take the time to write to him. And curiously enough, the message was from the familiar "EBE" and bore the word "TIME" in its subject line. He wasn't sure why the combination looked so familiar...but it caused him to click it. On the phone, a simple message was displayed.
"Quite an eventful day you have had. Care to make it more interesting?"
"...Huh?" Henry murmured as he looked at the e-mail. "Wow, that's cool. This guy knows what happened today. Maybe he was-" but he stopped there, immediately flinching in pain and dropping the phone onto the soft cushion of his bed. The motion caused Gaomon's head to immediately jerk in his direction and caused him to jump to his feet. "Master!" Gaomon exclaimed, quickly rushing to his bedside. "Are you alright!?" "Yeah, don't worry so much." Henry murmured, looking down at the now-glowing phone. "It's just a little burn." Before their very eyes, the phone began to undergo a metamorphosis, the light growing brighter until they both eventually were forced to look away. Finally, the light faded and the phone had transformed into what was clearly a different device altogether. Henry reached down and picked the strange device up. "Aw man!" he complained, rolling his eyes. "Mom and Dad were still paying that phone's stuff...off...?" Suddenly, a dizzy spell washed over him. "Gaomon...I think I'm...taking a..." he murmured sleepily, but he did not get to finish his sentence. He heard a vague "M-Master!" somewhere off to his side, a pair of gloved hands grabbing his head.... And then, nothing but darkness.

"That thing's your partner? You must be seriously fucked up." Zurumon could hear one of them stammering how that was a bad word and receiving a torrent of abuse in turn as it flattened out, trying to retreat into itself and only succeeding in resembling a rather viscous puddle. The afternoon had been going well at first, the four children (so to speak) of the Foxe family going out to play. Nathan, the oldest son by three years and Zurumon's caretaker for the past month, had brought along a soccer ball, and he and the twins were playing apparently some form of the game. Zurumon, not even as big as the ball, stayed to the side and watched quietly. It had been pleasant to watch, even if it didn't really understand what was happening. Then, the fourth boy arrived - taller, probably older, carrying a Nyaromon under his arm. The sons all seemed to recognize him with some degree of annoyance; apparently, he was 'Noah'. Noah was going to play with the soccer ball. The younger brothers protested, but Nathan had rolled with it, said they could play two teams without a goalkeeper, though maybe he should put his digimon on the sidelines. Noah agreed, walked to the side - and shouted at the realization of Zurumon's presence, Nyaromon hissing and flicking her tail. She almost even attacked it, until Nathan confirmed it was his digimon. Now, Nathan was not responding or even frowning at the accusations. Nyaromon's hisses had turned into low growls, clearly ready to attack. More than anything, it wished it could turn invisible; a close second, though, was that Nathan had not said anything. But why wasn't he responding? Noah finally turned his attention back to Nathan, who had picked up the soccer ball. "You know, soon as you're 13, they'll take you away and throw you into prison for the rest of your life. It's a law. Only the worst people get something like-" He had clearly intended to finish that sentence with more cruel words. The soccer ball hurled directly in his face made that a little difficult; he dropped Nyaromon, instinctively reaching to cover the reddening skin, and Nyaromon yowled as she hit the ground. "Huh. You have a cat digimon, but your reflexes suck. That's weird, isn't it?" "You little psycho!" Noah swung, and after that it devolved into chaos. Both digimon were stumped as to what to do and so, by the time the parents arrived, they were still sitting to the side. In the end, the three Foxe boys had received a sound scolding and had the soccer ball taken away for two months. Zurumon slumped - it had been its fault, after all - before finally looking up to its partner's face, lip split and scabbed, eye blackening. Nathan was smiling. Noah hadn't bothered any of them again for as long as Nathan had lived there. -- Of course, they no longer lived there, and it was no longer a Zurumon. It felt the passage of time, perhaps more keenly than anyone else, and it doubted such an encounter would ever happen again. It found it strange that, after so long, its mind would finally wander to that memory, but its mind frequently wandered while working and the sock - right, yes. It checked; there didn't seem to be any glaring errors in its work, so it would just need to cut the thread and knot it. With more dexterity than its long claws would suggest, the Gazimon managed to do so without tearing a fresh hole into the fabric. It tossed it onto the pile of the other clothes it had mended over the day and checked its basket. That was the last one. It picked the stack up and walked back to its aunt and uncle's bedroom to put them away. It was a fairly simple apartment: two bedrooms, a sink with an adjacent small room for the toilet and shower (the latter of which Gazimon had been banned from using again), leading into a fair-sized living-room-that-reached-into-a-kitchen space. A bit expensive and small, maybe, but apparently Nathan's relatives were fine with it, and it allowed Nathan and Gazimon to have their own room. After that, the only real issues had been Nathan and Gazimon figuring out their own sleeping arrangements and, well... Its ears twitched as it heard the entry door open - probably Aunt Jules, though she would've been late if it was her. It listened to the sound of plastic bags rustling. Oh. Groceries? Gazimon set down the basket and walked back out to the living room. There were only two bags it could see on the kitchen counter; Uncle Ash was taking out a jar and placing it near the stove, and Aunt Jules was emptying the second bag - salad, milk, and yogurts. Gazimon walked over. "Do you need help?" Though it was quiet, Aunt Jules had noticed and looked down to it. "Nah, Kitten, we've got it." She ruffled the fur on its head. "Didn't need to get much, just something for you to eat tonight. Ash was going to make pasta, but he called me at work since we only had meat sauce. Rest is just extra." "Oh. Thank you." If Gazimon had to point out the second issue, it was that these two were sometimes almost too considerate and it'd feel guilty that they'd spend on it. No wonder Nathan frequently worked late, as rude as the thought was. "I'll finish putting back the clothes." "Oh, thank you. You mind turning the news on before you do?" She opened the fridge as she spoke. It nodded, even knowing she wouldn't see it, and walked over to the TV in the corner of the living room. She was probably wondering if there were any updates on the missing digimon. To be honest, the situation still felt unreal to Gazimon; Uncle Ash and Nathan had been out on a hunting trip, and Aunt Jules and Gazimon had been cleaning when the light happened. Gazimon didn't know how those two responded, but it and Aunt Jules had checked the windows. When the city was not seen to be suffering untold horrors and devastation, they had decided maybe it was a power surge even though the lights were still fine and then resumed working. They hadn't seen the news that night, since Uncle Ash and Nathan had come home late (apparently there had been an unusual number of traffic jams and crowds). The next morning, Nathan had overslept and it was a rush for him and Gazimon to get to school, skipping over the newspaper and ignoring the stares of people. After all, Gazimon was supposed to look over Janice's Armadillomon and try to figure out why he had suddenly gotten so temperamental. Gazimon was good at that. It had only been when they arrived at school and everyone fell silent that they noticed: there was no beating of wings or buzzing. No slightly-slimy slithering. There were only people. Janice had staggered to them, shocked, and only finally explained that all the digimon had just vanished. During first period, Nathan excused himself to the bathroom with his phone, leaving Gazimon unfortunately alone. Even if they thought they were being sneaky, it could feel the stares of the students and even the teacher on its skin. The student to its right actually reached forward and, before Gazimon could ask what it was doing, ripped out a chunk of fur. All to confirm that Gazimon was in fact not an illusion, hallucination, or robot. That hurt quite a bit. It hurt even more when Nathan returned nearly ten minutes later, his gaze at something a hundred miles away, and finally whispered to Gazimon that the twins had lost Terriermon and Lopmon and that his parents wanted him to send Gazimon to them. Gazimon breathed its paralytic breath onto Nathan, knocking him out of his seat, and then asked that it be allowed to take Nathan to the nurse's office. The confusion of the students at once turned into fury and hatred when the teacher said yes; it realized, too late, that it had reminded them of what they had lost. Even when the paralysis wore off, Nathan said little. The final straw was when they finally made it home, running, and Nathan made the mistake of checking his email. The unknown name and slightly ominous title had upset Gazimon, worried that perhaps Noah or someone worse was coming back. Nathan had slammed the laptop lid down so hard its plastic casing cracked. It hadn't been touched since. Gazimon finished putting away the clothing and came back out as the pasta timer beeped. Soon after, the three sat down at the table to eat and watch the news together. Even as Gazimon listened, it didn't expect any updates. Its prediction was proved accurate, and there was little fanfare as they finished and cleaned up. Gazimon made sure there would be enough for Nathan once he came home, and then went back to Nathan's room to continue reading its e-book. Around 10, Aunt Jules and Uncle Ash went back to their shared bedroom. Around 11, Gazimon heard the door lock click and came out to see the door swing open. "Hello. I trust everything was-" Gazimon stopped. It had been so long since it had seen Nathan with a black eye, and yet, here he was."Nathan! Do you need ice?" Gazimon had already begun running to the fridge. It reached the door and was about to jump up when Nathan replied. "No, this... it was hours ago. Some guy at school..." Nathan shrugged. "Doesn't even really hurt anymore. It's not a big deal." Gazimon frowned, though what else could it do? Nathan would just push back harder if it pressed him for details. And yet... "Was it about me?" Nathan didn't need to respond. It saw the way he tensed, even for a second. "I see then." It walked away from the fridge. "It's late, we should go sleep." "Yeah, just a bit." Nathan had shrugged off his backpack near the door, the restaurant's shirt peeking out. "Homework?" Yes, that made sense. It hadn't considered that- "Nah, I'll do it before school." -though it would've been wrong. It blinked as Nathan went back into his room, and followed in time to see Nathan retrieve the dusty laptop. "Nathan?" "What, I haven't checked my emails in forever." The screen glowed, welcoming him. "Might as well." "Nathan." He didn't respond. Gazimon approached him. "I must insist you stop." "It'll just take a minute." Nathan nudged Gazimon away, and it could feel, even through the gloves, how cold he had to be. It was unreal; he always took the bus home, so he was usually only outside for maybe ten minutes. How- "Did you get to work safely?" Nathan didn't respond. "Nathan?" "...I'll explain it tomorrow." That was never a good sign. Gazimon already had a fairly good idea of what happened, namely that Nathan had never went to work after school, and not by his own decision. The browser popped up. "Just, let me check." Gazimon finally nodded and jumped onto the bed. It'd let Nathan do it, no more questions, no- "Whoa." Gazimon stood to look over Nathan's shoulders. Interspersed with the various junk mail and notices were many more emails from the unknown address. Had they been sent daily ever since Nathan refused to open the first one? It boggled the mind, to borrow a common phrase. Nathan sighed. "Fine, you douche, I'll play your game." He clicked the topmost email from EBE. Whatever message was there, Gazimon couldn't read before the screen indicated an error of some sort. To the right, on the bed, the e-reader was glowing a soft golden color before it changed shape. Gazimon frowned; but it hadn't finished that story yet. When it realized what it was looking at, however, it gasped audibly. Nathan turned to see Gazimon staring at the strange device now on his bed. "What the heck?" Nathan carefully picked it up between two fingers. "It's not..." He looked to Gazimon. "Is it?" "I am almost positive it is a digivice." But how and why? Gazimon didn't even know if any existed in this world. Darkness seemed to be hanging around them; Gazimon knew it was tired, but this seemed strange. "Nathan, who was the email from?" Its voice felt even quieter than usual, and Nathan, who was swaying to stay upright, didn't answer. "Nathan?" If the boy responded, Gazimon couldn't stay awake long enough to know. Unconsciousness forcibly claimed it, shortly before Nathan fell down as well.

Alison wasn't sure how long she was blacked out for. All she was that one moment she unconscious, and the next... "Alison! Wake up!" Alison's eyes opened and her head snapped upwards, just in time to see the bus she was in whizzing straight for a building. She grabbed for the wheel and swerved the bus to the side, narrowing missing a crash. She then slammed her foot on the breaks and the bus came to a grinding halt. "Phew..." Phascomon, the one who had awoken Alison, gave out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness." She was still perched on Alison's shoulder, nails unsheathed and clawing into Alison's jacket. "What the heck...?" Alison slumped back in the driver's seat, panting heavily for a few minutes before she felt that her heart would not end up ripping itself out of her chest. When she finally recovered, she glanced out the bus window, taking in scenery. "Where are we...?" She could see buildings, not too dissimilar from the ones in London but... they were warped. Some were ruins, like someone had ran a bulldozer right through them, others stretched and distort, some were greyed out unnaturally. And the sky... The sky was black, yet it was still bright enough to see as if it were the day-time, and it was dotted with large green flecks of light which cast this warped cityscape in an eerie light. Alison quickly got out of the driver's seat and ran out onto the street, checking her surroundings again. "This really must be a dream," she muttered. "I told you before, it's not a dream." Alison swung round to find herself faced with a strange robotic creature about her size. Shape-wise, it resembled pictures of the Digimon Vademon, but it's organic form had been replaced with electronic. "Gah...!" she exclaimed, taking several steps back. She put her fists out in front of her. "Who... who are you!?" she demanded. "Please don't do that," the robotic Digimon said with a sigh. It's voice was robotic, yet still possessed the emotional cues you'd expect from organic being. "Even if I were hostile, you would break you fist trying to punch me." "Who are you?" Alison said again. "What do you want?" The robotic creature nodded its head slightly. "Good questions," he said. "Very good. But this is not the right place to ask them." He glanced around him all directions curiously. "Please. My other guests are waiting inside, hopefully regaining consciousness as we speak. I unfortunately couldn't teleport you here without teleporting the bus so I had to bring you out here. I apologize." "Other guests?" Alison lowered fists. "I'm... not the only one here?" "No," the robotic Digimon said. "Inside my lab..." He gestured to one of the few normal looking buildings near him. It looked like a hospital of some sorts. "There are other humans with Digimon partners." "Others?" Alison said. Other humans who hadn't had their Digimon taken away. They existed? She had thought she was the only one, that Phascomon was the only Digimon left on Earth. "Please, follow me," the Digimon said, and without another word, he made his way towards the building. Alison glanced at her surrounding, trying to see if there were any other possibilities. "I suggest you hurry up," the Digimon spoke again without looking back. "Or the Kuramon and Tsumemon will find you." Alison quickly followed after him. "Kuramon? Tsu... tsumemon?" she said. "Yes," the Digimon said, pushing open the doors. Alison quickly followed him in. "They are weak Digimon by themselves, but in swarms they can be quite dangerous. Though, I'm less worried about them and more about their master." Alison glanced around. It looked like a hospital on the inside too, very clean, a very large whole with several waiting area, counters and doors leading to other wards. There was even one of those soap dispensers near the entrance. The only thing that made it seem alien was that, besides the two of them, it was completely empty. "Am I... in the Digital World?" she asked, remembering the Digivice she had received, which she had put in her pocket before she had blacked out. It reminded her a lot of those stories she used to hear long before about a group of kids being sent to the Digital World. Had such a thing happened to her? "Yes," the robotic Digimon said. "And no." "... excuse me?" The Digimon sighed heavily. "This place is the Digi-Quartz." "Never head of it," Alison said. "You wouldn't have," the Digimon said. "The Olympos XIII wanted to keep it a secret from you humans until we learned more about it. Think of it as sort of... purgatory, as it were, between your world and the Digital World." "I... see," Alison said, though she really didn't. "And... you are?" "My name is EBEmon," the Digimon, EBEmon, said. "I am a servant of Lady Minervamon, the Guardian of Wisdom, and she placed me here to gather information on this area. Very little is known about it." "Ebe... mon," Alison said. "EBE... as in E-B-E?" "That's right." He glanced at her. "I imagine you're putting the pieces together now." "You were the one who sent those emails?" Alison said. "I am." "Why?" EBEmon sighed. "Questions. Questions. Questions. You humans are full of them. I'd rather not repeat myself, so I'll wait until we have found the others," he said. "They should be in the Children's Ward. I thought it would be the most comfortable place for them to materialise." He started leading her towards one of the elevators. "It's upstairs." "How many of them are there?" Alison asked as she got into the elevator next to him. "Eight humans besides you, each with a partner. Sixteen in total," EBEmon said. The elevator doors closed and he jabbed one of the buttons with a finger. "Right," Alison said. The elevator started to move. Phascomon, who had been perched quietly on her shoulder this whole time, gave a loud yawn. "Sleepy..." she muttered. The elevator doors opened less than a minute later. "Follow me," EBEmon said and he exited the elevator. "I'll take you to them. The sooner you all get acquainted, the better." "Alright," Alison said, the nervousness inside her growing. She followed EBEmon out the elevator, and the two made their way towards the Children's Ward.

"Karn!" A voice called to him through the darkness that he fell into, only seeming like a few moments since he fell into it. But he didn't feel like waking up, he was too comfy. Just figuring Leormon wanted to get them up at three o'clock in the morning and do something. The boy gave a soft mumble in response before turning on his left side. "Karn wake up you girly dolt!!!" the familiar voice shouted now, before a light smack hit the boy across the cheek. It repeated until. Karn finally opened his emerald eyes and glanced to the lion like Digimon who was on top of him. Who was looking fiercely at him with those determined, but concerned blue eyes. Karn gave a soft yawn before sitting up slowly, picking up his energetic Digimon that had been on his chest and set him to the side of the bed. Rubbing his tired emerald eyes, he froze as he noticed he still had his silken white gloves on. Something was definitely wrong as he quickly looked over himself and saw he was still in his fathers new female designer clothes. He wouldn't sleep in such important clothing. Luckily, he still had his regular clothes folded and clenched to his chest. When he looked around, he saw they were in a room that looked like that from a hospital. "....Where..are we?" Karn murmured in astonishment. "I have no idea but you see the other Digimon and their partners? We are not the only ones! This is totally awesome!" Leormon replied energetically as he jumped down and ran out of the room. "There are others? Leo try not to disturb them too much...." Karn said softly as he got out of bed and stood up, brushing the pink frilly dress down. The feminine looking boy then blinked as he noticed the Digital Device that was resting against the second set of clothes and picked it up in examination. He had never seen a real one before, and it must have meant something if his phone just decided to turn into one. He gave a sigh before following after his Digimon.

“Pakhan! Pakhan wake up!” said the voice that Nonna assumed was associated with the arms that were shaking her shoulders. This was the deepest sleep she ever had - it took her a few seconds to realize that both the voice and arms probably belonged to Pawnchesmon. And she sounded distressed about something. Nonna laid her hands on her sides and lifted herself up. Something was wrong. Since when did she have sheets on her couch? Eyelids flying wide open, the girl squinted at the light that viciously stabbed her in the eyes. She could make out the silhouette of Pawnchessmon in front of her, tense with buckler and lance raised. She blinked a few times, her mellow mind taking in her surroundings to try and make sense of it, and coming up empty. “что?*” she said, and then the alarms in her head finally gone off. “We were moved.” Pawnchessmon said in a stating-the-obvious tone of voice. OK, keep calm. Think. The blonde thought, looking around. It looked like she was in a hospital, so nobody likely kidnapped her for ransom. Did something happen to her? She could remember only going to take a nap. She felt fine, and she was still in the clothes she had when she came home. Allright, BAD hospital. With no staff. Even though I’m feeling perfectly fine. In… London? she thought as she took a glimpse out the window, recognizing a bit twisted versions of some of the more famous buildings. The cogs in her head were spinning, but this just didn’t make the slightest sense. “Let me see if I can call...” she said, falling speechless as she looked at what used to be her phone. Oh, now she remembered. Too bad she didn’t even get to read the e-mail, that might have shed some light on this. “Pawn? Does this look familiar?” she said, showing the shiny black and red device to her partner. “It’s… a digivice. We might be in the digital world then, but no part I know of. But I found these.” she pointed with her lance to another human and digimon on the other two beds in the room, “ Pakhan what do we do?” the digimon asked, looking at her ‘King’ for direction. Nonna was about to say something, but a beep not too far demanded her attention. She turned her head just in time to see the elevator opening. --- * What?

He was aware of feeling first - namely that he was lying down on his back, something soft under him. Sheets? Felt like it. All things considered, very odd since the last thing he recalled was falling forward towards his bed and unless he had managed to pull himself all the way onto his bed and turn over while - Asleep? Unconscious? - then this couldn't be right. He still had his hand around the theoretical digivice - so he assumed, anyhow, it felt like he was holding something made of the same material and same weight. He had yet to actually open his eyes. Right. He should probably fix that. Nathan had begun to stir when he felt his arm bump into Gazimon, who grabbed it (or something very much like Gazimon). The fact was confirmed when it spoke, and Nathan recognized that whispered voice. "Don't move too much. There's something out there." His stomach dropped and, sure enough, there was something very much like footsteps headed his way. He kept his eyes closed, trying to still appear asleep. Yes, even without opening his eyes, it was becoming clear he wasn't home. The steps echoed like in a late-night hospital hallway, and it smelled terribly like... Like- Despite Gazimon's warning, his eyes opened and he sat up. A hospital room. The walls were a washed-out green, the floor white tile, the whiteboard cleanly erased with no markers visible. The air was too hot, he was sweating through his hoodie and gloves, the air rushed away when he tried to breathe. Oh god he was losing it wasn't he this couldn't be real none of it could be real god no- "Nathan? ...Nathan." Gazimon was talking. He was trying to focus on its voice, but it was hard to do when he could feel the blackness trying to seep back in and knock him out once more. "Nathan, I don't know where we are, but I don't think it's a hospital. The bed's wrong, there's no table, and I don't see an IV holder in here." Breathing was still harder than it should've been, but he began looking around once more. Its words were true - for a hospital, this room was oddly ill-prepared for patients. The feeling of suffocating heat began to drain away, leaving him tired and suddenly acutely aware of the footsteps still echoing outside his room. "Don't know how we got here, right?" He kept his voice quiet, tugging on the edge of his hood to make sure it was still in place. "Correct. I believe I fell unconscious first. I only woke up minutes before you did." Nathan thought for a moment, gingerly touching the bruise on his face. It still ached, but it was the only thing that hurt. "And how fast can you dig?" Nathan slid off the bed. "...Nathan please do not go chat up our captors." "You have to admit, we're not exactly stealthy. So either we go talk or we blast our way through." Gazimon blinked and then sighed, hopping off the bed and following Nathan to the doorway. Both peeked around its edge to see a long hallway ending in an elevator and a person with... a digimon. Gazimon's eyes widened and yet it couldn't help but smile. Nathan pocketed his digivice and then cupped a hand to his mouth to speak: "Hey! Did you also get dragged here or were you the one doing the dragging?"

"Daigo-san! Daigo-san!" His eyes blurred into focus, and Daigo sat up abruptly. Looked like he was in a bed, hospital of some kind. Next to him he saw Elecmon staring at him, using its paws to shake him awake. "You're awake, Daigo-san." said Elecmon with a sigh of relief, "I thought I might have lost you." At this Daigo merely put hand on Elecmon's head in a sort of patting gesture, also giving his partner a smile, Elecmon being one of the few who Daigo would ever genuinely smile to, "Where are we, Elecmon?" he asked, looking around at the place. Seemed like a normal enough hospital, but that couldn't be true. Not after the kind of circumstances that went into bringing them here. Daigo remembered something and took the red and gold digivice out from his inner coat pocket and showed it to Elecmon, "What do you think? Is it a Digivice?" Elecmon sniffed of the device and shrugged, "I think so. Does that make this the Digital World?" Daigo stood up, placing the Digivice back in his inner coat pocket, "Sitting around here isn't going to solve anything. Come, Elecmon, let's figure out where we are." "Uh, wait, Daigo-san!" said Elecmon, now gesturing to another part of the room, "What about them?" Daigo looked, and found out he wasn't alone in this room. There were others here, and Digimon from the looks of it as well. He wasn't the last tamer, then, it seemed. Perhaps in another situation, he would have been more glad to learn this, since that meant there were at least a few more rivals he could fight. But now wasn't the time. His first priority needed to be figuring out where this was, and then finding a way back home. A beep from the hallway got his attention and Daigo ran from the room he was in to find out who was coming. Whoever it was, they probably had the answers. Someone else was in the hallway, a girl. Maybe she had the same idea as him?

Alika was the first to sit up in the hospital bed, Falcomon draped over his legs as she softly cooed in her sleep, just as she usually did. With a soft touch, he laid a hand on her feathered tuft of an ear and scratched lightly, making her leg kick out. He surveyed his surroundings as Faye's weak kicking became squirming and finally consciousness. He was sitting upon a bed in a small, grey room that he recognised immediately as some sort of medical facility, but different. The environment was warped and strangely lifeless, putting his mind into a slow spiral of unease. Faye flipped on to her belly and hooted happily as he looked back down to her. "Fiiiiiinally, you wake up! I thought you conked your noggin' or something!" She giggled as she stood to her feet and strutted on the bed to stand directly in front of him, setting to work on brushing off his face with her feathers and occasionally clacking her beak. Alika looked on, as if in a trance, as she preened and groomed him. "Why didn't you wake me up, or at least TRY to wake me up?" She tilted her head nearly 90 degrees before hopping off. "Well you looked so peaceful and serene that I thought I'd let you sleep and stand guard." Her voice was chirpy and cheerful as usual, until she continued with a smaller, slightly embarrassed tone, "And I also might have fallen asleep too." Faye took a moment to scratch her face before pulling Alika from the bed in a hurry, chirping and squawking in excitement as he rose and stretched out his limbs to rid himself of the feelings of fatigue. "Well now that you ARE awake, I can give you this back!" She reached into her little vest to pull out a strange black and purple device that registered in Alika's mind as a digivice. He had seen some pictures before but not much more than that. He could only stare down at it as he was pulled by the hand, out into the hall by the happy-go-lucky Falcomon. The words she spoke were flying over his head by the time they exited the room, but what he did hear sounded a lot like '-other people here! Digimon too!' It took him a moment to snap from his trance and look up from his new digivice. Maybe these other people would know some things about all this. He merely followed behind Falcomon as she noisily went about grabbing someone else's attention.

It was . . . Dull. Not specifically dark, but the lighting was dull for sure. "Uwa. . . Where am I? Tinkermon? Are you. . ." Annaliese cut herself short as she felt something wiggle around on her chest. "Hmm. . . More bacon!" A small voice exclaimed somewhat sleepily. "Anna, grab more from the bar. . ." Tinkermon rolled around a bit, somehow avoiding scratching Annaliese with her sharp boots. "Hey, you stupid fairy. Wake up." Her hand went to poke the fairy's face. Tinkermon's eyes burst open, "What sorcery is going on! There was food here a second again!" Slowly, her surroundings began to focus even around the dull lighting. "Wait, this doesn't look like a restaurant." She continued as she turned her head to look at Annaliese looked at her. "How'd I get here?" She asked. "Like I should know." Annaliese muttered as she picked up the fairy and removed her, dangling her with her might by Tinkermon's collar. "I think I'd rather know why you were laying on my chest like that." Tinkermon shrugged from her practically helpless position, "I don't know either. Not like you got anything there to make it-- Ooph." Now on the ground after falling from between Annaliese's fingers, Tinkermon stood on her feet and dusted herself off. "I'm just telling it as it is." "Hmph." Now she got to looking around the room. . . There seemed to be other people here. . . And Digimon too. "Hey, this is different. I thought everyone lost their digimon." Annaliese said, "This is different." "Hey! Did you also get dragged here or were you the one doing the dragging?" A voice resounded down the long hallway they were in. The pair looked in the direction it came from and wondered, "What's he saying? Dragging? Dragged?" Annaliese wondered aloud. "Not like your clothes look dirty." Tinkermon said as the two wondered just what was going on.

"Wake up...!" An echo was heard...not knowing what was being said. "Wake up Wake up, Taeyeon!" Taeyeon felt something shaking her, her eyes slowly opened seeing her digimon, Palmon. "Wake Up Taeyeon!" she yelled again, now hearing it perfectly. It was her digimon that was calling for her and shaking her to wake up. "I'm up... I'm up..." she said placing a hand on her forehead. "Uhhh, What happened...?" Palmon was relieved that her tamer was fine. "Whew! You are alive. I thought you were dead or something. But hey I don't know why we are here and I don't know what happened to be honest. But come on. We have to stand up and explore!" Taeyeon nodded at her digimon as she stood up and walked around with her digimon. But it seemed that they weren't the only ones here! There were more people... perhaps Taeyeon should go and speak with them about what happened and how they got here... first she was in school, then at her home and she blacked out.. were they kidnapped or something? So many questions running around her head. Palmon looked around walking with her tamer. "Alright! Let's go ask the other tamers!"

His eyes twitched as he slowly began to regain his consciousness. The dog-like Digimon vaguely became aware of his surroundings, his ears beginning to regain their senses before his others. They twitched slightly at the slightest sound, from the soft breathing of the body beside him to faint footsteps and voices. His sense of smell was the next to return to him...and he quickly became aware that the room he was laying in was nothing like the room he usually slept in. This room smelled more...clean. Finally, after this realization, his eyes began to open and he found himself staring up at a bright light that lay embedded in the ceiling above him. The light was absurdly bright compared to the darkness he had been watching just a few moments ago. He squinted his eyes, trying to give them the chance to adjust. However, a memory flashed through Gaomon's mind that snapped him back to his senses completely. The sight of his human master suddenly dropping a strange device from his hand and suddenly falling toward him, as though he had suddenly fallen ill. He vaguely recalled catching his falling master in his arms before losing consciousness himself. He immediately bolted upward. "Master!" he exclaimed suddenly, quickly scanning the room. Where was he? Where was Henry!? Had he somehow been injured again, despite having not once that day letting him out of his sight? How could that have happened right under his nose!? Gaomon's fears were only partially relieved when he became aware that the sound of soft sleeping had been from none other than Henry himself, who had been laying down on the bed beside him. "Ah...! Master!" Gaomon exclaimed, quickly pulling himself around and righting his body so that he was on his knees on the bedding, looking down at his sleeping human. "M-Master Henry, please wake up, sir!" he quickly started begging, using his gloved arms to nudge the human's body in a desperate attempt to rouse him. Gaomon let out a sigh of relief as Henry began to stir at last, mumbling something soft under his breath. That was normal for him, which meant that he was just fine. He then quickly slid himself off of the bed he had awoken on, not wanting to interfere with his master's awakening. Henry's eyes were the first thing that opened. Much like Gaomon, his eyes squinted for a moment as he attempted to adjust himself to the unfamiliar lighting. He instinctively raised his arm to shield himself from the uncomfortable light as he sat himself up in the bedding, throwing the uncomfortably warm sheets off of himself at the same time. "Whoa...who turned on the sun?" Henry murmured in a sleepy tone. "It is good to see you finally waking, Master." Gaomon said from beside the bed, a slight smile on his face as he bowed his head. "Truthfully, you were starting to worry me." "Ngh..." Henry groaned, rubbing his eyes and looking around the room again. "So...wait, where am I?" he asked. He could identify the surroundings well enough. If he didn't know any better, he'd have thought that he was in a hospital. "Oh. Did I get hurt again or something?" he muttered, quickly checking himself over for any kind of stitches or bandages, like when he had originally gotten the injury that resulted in his scar. He felt nothing of the sort, however, and there wasn't a hint of the crimson blood that had been there the last time. He seemed perfectly unharmed. "No, Master, we are both unharmed it seems," Gaomon said, turning to look around. "However, I have not even a single idea as to where we might have been moved after we were forced into unconsciousness. I highly recommend that we-" At that point, his ears twitched. A sound had caused him to stop speaking and he spun around quickly to face the door. He was ready to defend Henry from any intruder that may enter their abode, likely expecting them to be asleep. Such a foolish attempt. He had long-since developed his senses to a very keen height. There was no sneaking up on him very easily. But what he saw was not an intruder attempting to cowardly sneak in on them. "I wonder what's out here?" Henry asked nobody in particular, pushing the door outward and looking around the room. "M-Master, please wait!" Gaomon shouted after him, quickly rushing after his tamer...but not before stopping to grab a small blue and white device off of the floor. It looked familiar and important, so he had decided to grab it off of the ground before leaving the room. Just outside, the two came to realize something that put Henry at ease. There were other humans already out in the hallway...and each one of them had a Digimon of their own. "Oh wow, look. I guess the Digimon really weren't all dead after all." Henry commented as he stepped outside. He then grinned slightly. "Well, that's nice. It would have been rather strange if you were the last one on the planet." "...Yes, Master." Gaomon replied, withholding a sigh of exasperation. He quickly put himself between Henry and the other humans. Their room had been at the very end of the hall, putting nothing but a wall behind them and the others in front. Gaomon looked cautiously at the others. He couldn't help but find it suspicious that they were suddenly in a room filled with other kids with Digimon. Something was fishy here and he wasn't about to allow Henry to risk associating with- "Hey, do any of you know where I am?" Henry suddenly called, taking Gaomon by surprise. The beast Digimon fell to the floor in his surprise while Henry simply pushed past him without a care in the world. "I kind of just dozed off out of nowhere and-" "Master, what are you doing?" Gaomon asked in a slight panic. He quickly climbed back to his feet and moved himself between his tamer and the others. "Forgive me for stopping you, Master, but we have never seen them before. They could be the reason we are here in the first place." Henry paused and thought about those words for a moment. He had to admit, he was right. "Hey, you guys didn't, like...kidnap me or anything did you?" he decided to bluntly ask. Gaomon simply looked back at his tamer in disbelief. Although he supposed that he should not be so surprised at this point....

As the elevator finally opened, EBEmon stepped through, with Alison following somewhat cautiously after. Alison soon saw eight other teenagers, all with a Digimon partner, and she felt a flutter of excitement in her stomach. "Oh, wow!" Alison exclaimed, looking at the group. "You were... you were telling the truth!" EBEmon looked at her. If he had had eyebrows, he probably would have raised one. "You doubted me?" he said. "Well, you got to admit, you are kind of shifty-looking," Alison said. "That's kind of rude," Phascomon muttered into her tamer's ear. "Err..." Alison gave EBEmon a nervous grin. "Erm, well, no offense." EBEmon shook his head slightly. "None taken, I suppose," he muttered, taking some steps towards the group of the kids as the elevator doors closed behind them. "Well, it seems everyone is here." He surveyed the group. "Now, I imagine you're all very confused and possibly frightened, but I promise you, you are in no immediate danger, so please calm yourselves down... okay?" Alison raised an eyebrow at this before crossing her arms over her chest. "Yeeeeeeaaaah, that's likely to win 'em over," she muttered sarcastically. Personally, she was still a little bit nervous around EBEmon, but she did her best to hide it, instead waving at the various new tamers. "Yo," she said with a grin. She was talking to all the tamers, but most specifically the ones who were closest to the elevator. "Nice day to wake up with no idea about what the hell is goin' on, innit?" she said casually. "Name's Alison." Phascomon sat up straight on her tamer's shoulder. "I'm Phascomon," she said. She bowed her head to the strangers. "And I apologise if my tamer seems a little too bold."

Alika's mouth still hung open as Falcomon pulled him in to the circle to meet the others. His jaw only fell wider upon looking at Ebemon, as did Falcomon's beak. Ebemon looked like a mix of a movie monster alien, and his computer back home, except 10 times more terrifying and real. He looked liable to strap him and Falcomon to a table and perform experiments on them like Alika saw in that one movie. Hostile? Hotel? He couldn't remember, but the sidetracking was helping him to keep his cool. As the girl, Alison, and her partner, Phascomon, introduced themselves, Alika couldn't help but look to Falcomon and see that she was feeling the exact same wave of confusion that he was. He held up a hand and waved slightly, but was only able to utter a drawn out 'uhhhhhhhhhhh' for a few minutes as his brain attempted to reboot from all the sudden twists and turns being imparted upon it in the past couple of minutes. The Digital World, or the Digital Quartz. The Digivice. Other people with Digimon. Losing his Gameboy. It was all a little much for just a couple of hours. Or minutes. His head was spinning so much that he just couldn't keep track of anything anymore. Falcomon was the first to recover once more, and introduce the two of them. "Uhm, well I'm Falcomon, and this is Alika. He's a bit... out of it at the moment." She looked to the company before hopping to face-level with Alika and waving a wing in front of his face, cooing softly to snap him from his trance. He shook his head softly and waved again, "Y-yeah, I'm Alika. Nice to meet you, I guess?" His speech was stuttered and slow, mind slowing down as he was pushed to talk to the others. He could deal with rationalising the thoughts he was having later, as well as figuring out how they all got there, and why it was them that were there. For now, it was just a joy to be alright and with Faye. And out of the storm.
