I have never once insulted your intelligence - I have indicated there are options available to you. I, however, will not explain them in specific until after the match is over.

You're clearly inferring it, as I've stated my character has no reasonable way to fight this opponent, and you're constantly asserting there are -numerous- options available and I'm not aware of them blah blah blah.

Though, I can see now that you're just unwilling to admit you made a mistake in allowing this character into the tournament in the first place with such a huge power imbalance, so this is all pointless.

Accepted. You may use all of your weapons in a match. You may have a small, hidden supply depot that you position on the map before the match and swap weapons using that, or something along that line. If you have an alternate idea, let me know.

See above.

<Snipped quote by Innue>

That works fine with me, will my character have any intel before a fight to make his loadout decisions by?

And you replied.

When I read that I inferred that I could swap weapons at the start of each round, that was a miscommunication, but as I said it hardly matters now as I'm unwilling to meta-game a box of weapons into the map.

Also, my reply pretty clearly shows that I misunderstood what you were saying. Why would I ask if he had intel before a fight to make his loadout decisions by if he could just swap weapons in the fight?

It's also worth pointing out that I'm not meta-gaming with my character, I've taken one offensive action against my opponent, who seems humanoid. Why would my character assume bullets wouldn't be effective and fire a rocket at a person? That's just insane. I'm trying to play my character properly, because this is a roleplay not a sport. Which is more than I can say for my opponent with an intrinsic knowledge and defence against firearms, a weapon which doesn't even exist in their universe.

I have desperately tried to avoid getting into any of the mindless bitching that Melon has been doing, but I feel the need to clarify a few things:

Touho has yet to fly in this fight. Melon's constant assertions that the flying completely dicks him over is huge metagaming on his behalf (something I have personally tried to avoid) because the most I have done is floated a foot or so off of the ground (and sure, you could even post that your character logically inferred such a thing is possible, but there are no such comments on Jok's behalf).

I can create two "death orbs" every five minutes. They do not require a lot of preparation, this is correct, but they are quite severely nerfed at close range and they are absolutely not the speed of a bullet (or the max speed of 250 feet per second). It is more like a slightly slower baseball being thrown. I don't know how you possibly got that it was that fast.

You have used an - if not outright wrong - awfully shitty combat tactic in the form of ill-defining what you're doing under the guise of preventing metagaming and seeking to later define it in such a fashion that it benefits you. I will work around this or wait for a ruling either way, but it is a bad thing to do and I am ashamed that you have done it.

The condensed wind shield I have now does not block attacks with sufficient mass to resist it. Bullets, being fast but light, are the ideal things for it to block. Continuing to bitch about this and exaggerate it beyond what it is capable of in an attempt to demean me is also /really/ shitty of you.

I also think that your conduct throughout this entire affair has been less than stellar, and that you may want to reconsider being as aggressive as you have the next time something goes poorly for you. This is not some casual fight, this is a tournament, and your acting as you have done does nothing but waste Innue's time, my time, and your time and demean us all.

@LeeRoy: Categorically no. I appreciate the situation, but my inclination to provide any form of leeway to Melon has long-since passed.

The flying doesn't 'dick me over' it screws over every melee focused character in this tournament, which is about half the other players. I'm complaining on their behalf.

The limitation on death orbs is hardly a limitation, one is more than enough.

You used the awfully shitty combat tactic of instantly reacting to a stealthy attack, where-as I made a slight (and unintentional) error by not stating exactly how far my character shuffled backwards, which is an easy mistake to make.

That limitation makes no sense, the mass of a bullet is irrelevant in regards to the fact that by Innue's ruling it still maintains the energy and pressure of a bullet fired at full speed. Your shield is able to immediately negate that force apparently. Also, speaking of poorly described actions, you didn't even say what masses are effected, are you saying the shield literally only stops bullets? That's clear bullshit then and obviously just tacked on to hard counter gun fighters considering bullets shouldn't even exist in your universe from a cursory look of your character's history.

I don't really care what you think about my conduct, I think more than enough of the same about you.

I've repeatedly stated that the map changes each round and indicated, very clearly, you could use all of your weapons in a match.

I assumed the intel would affect the weapons you started the match with. It seemed a sensible question to ask given that I was letting you have your entire arsenal.

Dude, I've already explained that I misunderstood what you were saying back then, are you now saying I'm lying about that mistake to cover up the mistake of not bringing a weapons crate into the current fight or something? Unless you want to air drop it into the current fight in a random location or something I can't utilize it.

Please stop trying to put words in my mouth - I have not accused you of lying nor insulted your intelligence. I do think you misread/misunderstood and seemingly forgot about it.

However, I'm not sure how to proceed at this point.

Frankly, I'm extremely dissatisfied with the attitude and aggression that has been displayed, which seems like it could have been avoided if you had understood the full scope of flexibility I was giving you. In general, this is part of the reason I had stayed away from combat roleplay for as long as I had.

Alright, why don't you ask the Arena community to chime in on the situation, if I don't have a point about the power imbalance then kick me out, doesn't bother me.

You have the option of leaving. If you continue the way you have, I will warn you it will likely not be an option as I've humored this for more than enough time. I have discussed this in PM with Rilla already.

An air drop may be an option, but given that it would take time to do in the match in character, couldn't be too close to you without being unfair, it may not accomplish anything. I will need to consider if this really is the best option or not and given I've spent most of my energy responding to your aggressive posts, I don't have much in terms of creativity left.

I will also discuss with Tuuj what he would consider fair in terms of placement.

No, seriously Innue. This whole ordeal is backed by concrete evidence and stepping back to a less butthurt point of view will let everyone involved notice the power gap between a supersoldier and a narutoverse character.

As previously indicated, the arena was designed with this in mind, as there can be potential gaps when you are allowing a diverse range of participants and types of characters. I have opted to allow the widest range of types of combatants I could. The structure of the Arena and materials will continue to provide me a balancing lever. However, I will not outright remove the advantage of circumstance by outright skewing the Arena one way.

Please feel free to provide this concrete evidence as I am extremely skeptical of its existence, keeping in mind all that has been discussed, providing it is done politely. I will warn you that my previous post is applicable to you as well.

So that's a no to the impartial arena mediators investigating the situation?

You may continue to politely provide commentary on the matter to influence my decisions, but it must be done appropriately. I will continue to discuss the matter with Rilla.

Final warning of what, calling you out? Calling someone else out? Oh no, I've put you on the spot for a major discrepancy. I'm such a bad person.

Warn me all you like, bucko, I'm telling you everything wrong with this situation regardless of your input.

This is phrased appropriately and will be addressed, however, I am going out of the evening. Tuuj is British. I'm perfectly versed in your humor. I highly value tact and politeness, the former due to Sir Winston Churchill.

I'm still writing up my post by the way. I was just going to have it short and sweet, but now I'm doing it to spite you.
