Fiona Swanhilde - Within the Forests on Gorlock

Well... That happened.

She wasn't sure just how it happened, but here she was, in some unknown land. One moment, she had been preparing for her second day of college, and the next she was in a forest. It was... Somewhat disconcerting, honestly, especially since such a place didn't seem made to accomodate someone in a wheelchair. And with that, the small young woman known as Fiona Swanhilde shut her eyes, trembling.

Click. Click. Click.

After clicking her heels together three times, she opened her eyes once more... And found she was still in the forest.

...Well at least I know I'm not in Oz, I guess... Would be nice to know just where I am, but... It was a dumb idea, anyway. She wasn't even sure why she did it, but she felt like she had to do something. Of course, mentally chastising herself would have to wait, for not long after she reopened her eyes she noticed the strange creature staring right at her. If she didn't know better, she would have thought it was smiling at her. But no, that would be silly...

"Um... H-hello, um... Um..." She just couldn't stop trembling. It couldn't be helped; she was in a strange place, and since she was so focused on this strange creature she hadn't noticed if there were others nearby or not...

"...I just want to go home..."

Rena sighed, yeah... no they were right, the paper wouldn't be enough to produce a worthwhile fire, suppose she already knew this and was just being hopeful. This didn't change how they they'll need a proper heat source soon, you know before something like hypothermia gets a chance to set in. She closed the case, like Adam said they could use it kindling once the opportunity eventually presents itself.

From where she sat, Rena scanned over the statues. "One thing's for sure, I don't recognize who these statues are supposed to represent, you can tell they're important maybe there's a reason for how they're organized... maybe. Clearly she was thinking out loud. Whatever civilization was responsible here had to be advance in someway, especially considering the sheer size of this chamber, and the craftsmanship was pretty astonishing, at least far as she could tell.

Silence ensued throughout the group, Rena herself was mulling over their situation, but she wasn't getting anywhere fast just thinking. Valair then tried to start up a conversation, mostly by asking about occupations. "Oh uh, yeah guess you could say I'm in business, accounting is what I do actually."At least that's what I used to do... She kept that last part to herself. "Just if you guys need a checkbook balanced or anything, I can't help you at the moment, heh..." Rena chuckled uneasily this was her attempt at injecting some humor, but she really wasn't a humorous mood.

Hana nodded to Mabel's idea. Still, she didn't make eye contact. Hana lifted up what little branches Rin had collected. Without any further delay, Hana walked ahead of Mabel and Tsukino. Once she walked past the two, her head raised so she could see in front of her. It was strange. Despite being a completely new world, it filled her with a sense of nostalgia and sorrow.

Her feelings quickly quenched themselves as she shook her head. She couldn't feel sad now. She had to continue to move. She could feel sad later. She took a deep breath in, and continued walking forward with a slow pace, each step with a weak and lazy pace.

The sound of another person's voice shocked Joel out of his drilling. Fumbling with his tool, he dropped the drill. Quickly picking it back up, he inspected it for any kind of damage. Once he was sure that it was still fine, he turned to address the stranger talking to him. It was then that he realized something; he really hadn't seen this person before. She was a complete stranger. Joel hadn't seen a new person in years. Had he been a black blooded person of ambiguous gender, he might have vocalized his feelings with 'I don't know how to deal with this.' However his blood was in fact red, and he was very much a guy, so he had to settle for something else. "My...my name is Joel?" It was about this time that Joel was starting to realize something else very important "wait...you're a girl!? And you look clean! But...but how is that-" Joel froze when a thought occurred to him. Quickly checking his hair and face, he made yet another startling discovery "...I'm clean too!? How is any of this possible!? Wait...if I'm clean but don't remember bathing, then that means...someone bathed my while I was unconscious! I feel so violated. I thought it was good news that I wasn't in the mines any more...but now I don't know. Oh well...at least I can finally see the sky."

Rin didn't have a chance to hear Mabel's words due to the distance and her focus on the work... though she did turn to see them approach a particularly forested part of the valley. Nodding her head as they moved to do as she instructed, the rich girl looks for another tree to attack... getting a bit more confident in her own strength as she goes about pulling on branches and breaking them into smaller twigs... gathering as much wood as she could.

Move, act and don't think too much about the situation... or rather, around it. She'd focus on the now, on what she had to do... she had learned how to do so her entire life. There was the feeling she had when they were first brought to this place... the sense that they were picked to be brought here. That someone answered her plea to get away. That was enough for her. At least for now. Her prayers were answered, so she doesn't concern herself with the how or why. With how dangerous and uncertain this place was.

She just had to gather more firewood... and as she focused, she kept pulling and breaking small branches, gathering a veritable armload of them after a while to bring back to the place where they had stopped.

Tamaki Asagami- Forests of Gorlock

Verdant. That was the word that could describe the forest. Lush and healthy, abundantly so. Everything was so fresh and untamed, and yet in a way that was calming to the soul. At least that was how it felt to on Asagami Tamaki, semi-ordinary high school senior. Her hand found themselves empty after she had unconsciously dropped her bag full of goodies, having been surprised by the fact she wasn't at the local convention like she had been previously.

Bright eyes flashed about the place, taking in the scenery with a gleam that was as innocent as a newborn babe's. A smile crept upon her face until it was a full-blown infectious grin, the corners of her mouth all but cramping up through the sheer enthusiasm she put her facial muscles through. "This..." Throwing up her hands, the girl with a tomboy cut exclaimed in a very pleased tone. "Is so COOL!" Trembling with barely repressed energy, she puttered around the place like a child a third her age. She oohed here and ahhed there, innocent curiosity radiating off her in waves. She even cheerfully waved to the man faced beast in her excitement.

It was when she heard the quiet voice of another person that Tamaki came down from her happiness high, twirling about theatrically to face the direction the sound came from. In her vision were two other people, one tanned and toned woman who was full of health and her complete opposite, a frail brunette in a wheelchair. Calming herself down, the currently cosplaying high schooler pondered for a moment before bouncing on over to the other two people in their small group with a smile on her face. "Hi, my name is Asagami Tamaki. Wanna be friends?~" And then she broke the ice the only way she knew how.

Adam remained near the entrance of the room, turning to each statue individually. There was nothing that marked them as any of the historical figures he was familiar with, so they weren’t any good for finding out what country they were in. In fact, they don’t even look human… Nothing about this architecture struck him as familiar either, it wasn’t medieval or Greco-Roman, it looked more like something out of a fantasy novel, like Lord of the Rings. He looked down the way they had come with a grim expression. If they didn’t find a way out soon, it was clear that they wouldn’t last long enough to find out where they were.

If we can’t identify the statues, what could we do with them? Move them in the right order and open the hidden tunnel?” he replied bitterly. Lacking anything else to do, he went and performed his own inspection of the door, finding nothing that Valair hadn’t. Then he went to prod at the statues, finding that everything they were holding was firmly fixed in their hands, so no secret levers. As Valair tried to spark up a conversation, Adam turned back to them.

Eh, I’m a grocery store worker, recently. Nothing fancy, it just pays the bills,” he was silent for a second. “I wanted to be a teacher, once, but going to college wasn’t in my budget.” With nothing else to say, he leaned back against one of the statues, but he was only there for a second before jumping forward, startled. “It shifted!

Like Rena had mentioned these statues seemed like they might have represented important individuals. The craftsmanship that had gone into their creation seemed to reflect that much at the least, even if closer examination revealed little else but intricate details. “Freedom from taxes at the least,” he remarked with a wry grin, as he tried to shift the statue about to some success as Adam stumbled across the same feature. “Huh, guess you weren’t that far off the mark, Adam.”

With the knowledge, or assumption, that these statues were meant to be moved around, the three of them now needed to know how they were meant to be placed. “Think it’s about a good as a lead we have for the moment. Might be some hints around,” he said to the others as he glanced at the floor and then the room’s walls, eyes narrowing at the faint lines he could see. He didn’t recall anything of note on the door pertaining to the six statues, so ignoring it for now he walked over to the wall and brushed off a faint layer of frost to take a closer look.

"Hey, check if you see anything similar," he called to the others as the familiarity between the carving and one of the statues was readily apparent. Maybe they had just been paired together, but Valair wanted to think that there was a meaning for the carving's position here. 'Tch... confirmation bias...' Not the best sort of mindset to fall into he quickly realized, and both of the options could be true; they weren't mutually exclusive after all.

Reaching the forest, Mabel came to an abrupt halt. It wasn't very much like her to marvel at thinga, but the strange forest had an eerie beauty to it. The girl's glossy green eyes searched the woods for anything of interest besides trees, she found that deeper towards the center of the overgrowth was a much larger tree, colossal would better descibe it. Though, was it a tree? The pillar rose past the misty sky, far too tall to see wha it really was.

Mabel turned to Hana, her head dipping to the left as she brushed bangs from her eyes asking. "Have an axe? Or macho muscles like the princess?" The expression on Mabel's face could only sigal displeasure, though, she grinned as she felt her lucky dice rattle in her pants pocket.

"How about a game? The loser figures out a way to acquire he wood, the winner carries it back. Both end up with a headache, but it'll be fair. Sound like a plan?" She grinned at Hana for only but a moment, she did enjoy this type of thing.

“You want to stay?” Darius replied, not stopping his actions despite Mana’s belligerent attitude. “We’ve been sitting on our asses for a few hours now. You want to wait forever? Until they open the door to this church on Sunday morning and find some nice, half-starved humans to chomp on? Or what?”

There was another person, some blond, tanned kid, with a drill though, so that was probably going to be fairly useful. Of course, that kid also sounded like some unstable child slave who spent the majority of his life locked up in a room with no windows, but Darius wasn’t too worried. At least this ‘Joel’ was doing something, unlike that sarcastic seaweed head. He liked action and disliked words. Probably not even going to be worth it, asking for her name, if all she’s going to do is…what, talk? Ask questions? Nothing worth thinking about, in the end. Darius continued to knock on the windows, hoping to catch the attention of one of those non-human existences walking about outside. Maybe an elf or a dwarf or something that didn’t look like it ate humans.

As Hana reached the forest with Mabel, she saw that Mabel had been left speechless by their surroundings. Hana wasn't taken so aback by this, however. She just leaned against a grey tree of medium-thickness and gazed off into the distance. Mabel then had turned towards Hana and asked her more rhetorical questions. It was quite obvious that Hana didn't have an axe. She also didn't have super macho muscles. Though, ordinary muscles probably wouldn't help to uproot a tree.

Then the second question came. A game? Hana rarely played games. Nobody in her life would have played a game with her. "What kind of game?" she said. Her voice wasn't as quiet or slow as before. In all honesty, Hana was slightly excited to play a game. It would be something that would take her mind off of current events for a while.

"Joel... alright then." Mana replied to the blonde who answered her questin, but then she got an extremely weird compliment, saying that she was a girl and how clean she was. Her cleanliness could mainly be the cause of her living in wealth for a little while in her life, but honestly she hated being wealthy and hated her parents. Mana sighed once more when he said that he could finally see the sky, but to be honest it's the sky that was at earth, it was all musky and dark. it wasn't the clear blue sky that she once saw. She noticed some talk back from the one known as Darius.

"Good point. I have some knuckled knives in case you want me to cut that window open for you." Mana said as she walked over to him, wielding her knives, she looked up and down the window carefully to try and get the correct shape that she needed to cut out for them.

Within The Valleys on Lovos

As you all gather your precious firewood, you take notice that the clouds above are moving rather quickly compared to those from Earth... and that the wind currents are starting to pick up once again, brushing harder against you than before. Before you know it, you feel the wind press hard against you, before stopping short once again... although, this time, something falls from Mabel's pockets and lands in a small hole on the ground, touching one of the roots of the various trees.

Upon closer inspection, you notice that what fell was a set of dice... and that the face up numbers suddenly began to glow as they touched the roots of the tree.

The surge of magic travels through the 'tree' and into the 'land'... going farther and farther away as it heads back to the source from where the 'root' of where all the 'trees' come from. All this time, what you believe to have been trees and branches were not in actuality trees or branches... but in fact the sun-dried extruding remains of the Dragon Titan's Nervous System, all leading back to his brain.

For years, this supposed Brain Dead Titan whose brain could no longer properly support or send out signals to its massive and gigantic body, and whose final command was to continue soaring in the skies, was receiving magic straight into its cranium. Then, the magic of the dice and Mabel, gifted to her by The Maker took its roots and sparked... enlarging the brain of the Dragon Titan to a size that would allow it to think with free will once more, along with allowing it to have full control over its massive body once again.

The 'ground' shook and the 'mountains' moved as the Titan awoke with a bellowing roar that broke apart the skies and as it found itself moving once again, thinking, breathing, and being able to feel its body against the wind as it did when it was but a young hatchling. With a glorious howl filled with unremarkable happiness, the Titan of the Skies flapped its massive wings, shaking the very foundation of the civilization of those upon its back as it enjoyed the freedom it was gifted with once again- to fly freely in the skies.

It would seem that you three have awoken an ancient beast...

Within the Forests on Gorlock

The strange creature simply stared with amused delight as it was waved at, and decided to leap towards the trio in hopes of learning more. It jumped from the center of the lake to their position with a graceful hop, something that looked impossible for anyone or anything... yet it did so without any effort. Landing, it immediately took a notice to Tamaki, before looking at the girl still bound to the chair.

It hadn't seen a human for so long, especially one such an oddity as this. Smiling with its strange face, it tilted its head before lowering itself a bit to sniff the scent of the young girl to confirm if its eyes were telling it the truth- Yes, they were. All three of them smelled like human, and felt similar to aura that The Maker gave off when observed and watched over the land.

Letting out a small call that echoed softly, small critters soon accompanied and made their way towards their position: Squirrels with oddly colored fur, long-armed and clawed monkeys, saber-tooths with gems on their forehead, and even deer that had previously avoided them gathered around to observe and watch them. One of the little multicolored squirrels even hopped onto Fiona's lap and handed her a small acorn of sorts.

The strange creature, however, turned towards Tamaki and Chloe before brushing up against them, looking at them with beady eyes... curious as to why there were humans on Gorlock's back after all this time.

Within the Mountains on Kormog

"Oi! Lads, that be the signal for Kormog's afternoon water! Release locks and flood the centipede nests 'fore the Scions get 'ere! We need him in tip top shape and ready to spew some fresh magma at some bastards, and we can't have those buggers itching at him!" shouted a rather crude and burly voice from afar the large gate.

After the voice finished, railings of sort descended from above; it was clear that they were meant to be held onto with great strength or to be hooked onto with something. Nonetheless, they provided some sort of support for... whatever was to come.

Then, the gates promptly opened in a rustic fashion, sliding to the sides as the sounds of something rushing forward could be heard coming. Upon closer inspection, you all would realize that it was the sound of rushing water coming at an incredible speed.

Given that outrunning it seems like a terrible idea, the only choice left would be to hold onto the railings and enjoy the fresh wave of water that is about to splash over you all.

Kael’valtar, The City of Soaring Hopes

As you all continue to chatter, bang on the windows and the door, you fail to notice the small child wearing a mask and using a walking cane standing by the altar... simply sitting and watching you.

No, it is clear that this person was not here before, nor did they make a single sound... so how did they get here?

The child simply tilts his head and hops off the altar, before looking at you three through the glassy holes in his mask... until he turns to look up at the statue. Without a word, he points his cane at you three and then at the statue, before walking towards you all.

As he walks towards you, you feel a strange sense of warmth, yet eagerness at the same time. It's almost as if this person is desperately trying to tell you something and reach out to you all. Even if you were to show him hostility, it would appear he would just not seem to care and shrug it off. Standing beside you three, he extends his cane and simply taps the door and unlocks it before he opens it.

Glancing at you three once again, you can hear a subtle warning... along with a call for help before the young boy evaporates into mist.

"Careful where you tread in this city of hopes... Come and save me."

Halls of the Fallen Saints

Within the Chamber as you all continue to look around, explore, and examine both the statue and the doors... Valair would find upon examining the walls a circular diagram of sorts with various different colored fillings. Were he to clear the frost from it, he would notice that the diagram was rather large, the size of a person horizontal and vertical, with each square filling being the size of a normal hand. It was ancient, yet at the same time oddly familiar... a table of something, perhaps? However, why were all of the square fillings different and why were they going in a circular rotation?

However... were Rena to simply take a look at it, she would immediately see that each of these square fillings were made up of different elements. Gold, Silver, and even Titanium... she could see that each of the fillings were a separate element of sorts, and were labeled as such on this chart, although, they were written, labeled, and numbered in a strange tongue completely different from any language that she has ever seen before. But it was clear to her that this chart... but what kind of chart to be precise?

It was as if her eyes were gifted with seeing the makeup of things; and taking a look at the statues, she could now see that each of the statues were made out of single elements as well. The only female statue that looked like an angel was composed of silver; the statue of a young man wielding a gun was composed solely of iron; the statue of the young boy wearing a hat was composed of only zinc; the statue of a two-legged beast was made out of boron; the statue of the young child wearing a mask was made out of cobalt; while lastly the statue of the young man with small horns was made out of titanium.

As Adam so happened to move one of the statues, particularly the female one made out of silver, Rena would notice that where it was previously was a small sigil marking on the floor made out of cobalt... however, it looked as if it could be taken out and moved someplace else.

There was indeed a clear puzzle to be solved here.

The Ruined City of Mankind, Halton

Jynmi, Free, Dominic Harris

This new place that you three were brought to was strange, yet oddly familiar... it like like some abandoned and run down city or civilization. Although, there was no signs of people, animals, or any kind of life aside for yourselves. Looking around, you could see from the top of the building that the streets were flooded with water and that plant-life has begun to overtake the city.

Despite how futuristic the tech in this city is, everything seems to be rather run down and left to its own devices. In fact, it is kind of sad actually, seeing things the way it is... giving off a dreaded feel that you are all alone in the world with no where else to go. But, perhaps that is true? The scene itself looks rather apocalyptic so to speak, as if things would jump out and attack at any time.

However, and perhaps thankfully, you do have the accompaniment of each other along with the luxury to explore and scavenge this place however you see fit. From the looks of things, everything besides the ground floor seems to be fine. It does look like it might rain though... but, whether you wish to explore and look around, is entirely up to you all.

Who knows... you may just find some 'interesting' clues and devices while exploring this brand new city...

The Nest of the Highborne

Erich Cline, Tsutsuji Tsubaki, Kevin Hawk

Moss, sap, and webbing of sorts litter the area that you have been brought into... how delightful!

Clearly this place isn't anywhere on the map- or on Earth for that matter, and it just so happens that you all seem to be inside of a giant... nest, of some sort? At least, that is what you can make out from all the broken eggs and eggsacks everywhere. Nonetheless, the temperature inside is rather nice and comfortable, despite how gooey and slimy everything is, with the soles of your shoes sticking to the ground with every single step you all take.

Thankfully, you haven't encountered any living creatures yet, since handling them in this situation may be more than you could all handle. Still, the area is littered with the bodies of strange humanoid insect-winged creatures that are fairly tall, each with uniquely colored tails. They look almost elven with their sharp faces, yet their eyes look human. None of them are moving however, but as you following the sappy corridors, and turn your head to look back, you can swear that you see them all standing and staring at you. Though, when you look back, they are all dead and motionless on the ground once again.

This area feels both sacred... and creepy to say the least, making you feel like you are surely hallucinating.

"Ahg!" cries out Rin as she feels the ground beginning to shake... causing her to drop the wood down onto the floor as she struggles to maintain her balance, ultimately falling to her hands and knees as she sees off in the distance, in the direction Hana and Mabel went some sort of strange light but for a moment... then... the shaking continues... somewhat more subdued but still...

Just what the hell happened...? wonders the young, rich girl as she looks off to her path, taking hold of the first broken branch she had gotten a while ago as she breaks into a run to try and find the two girls.

Well now wasn't this something? The statues could be pushed around, this was starting to feel like some puzzle from a Zelda game, actually... that all made too much sense considering they were in an apparently empty room with no discernible features other than the statues, their entrance is gone and there's no exit. Rena was starting to make some connections, this was a very good lead, but nothing more if it really was a puzzle they were solving here but pushing large chunks of rock aimlessly probably wouldn't get them anywhere.

Rena decided to take a closer look at the one Adam had already nudged, she walked over and then was standing next to the black haired man. "Looks a whole lot like an angel don't you think?" she commented, particularly to Adam. The angel appeared to be sculpted from stone, just like it's siblings, and yet Rena found herself questioning what it really was made of. With a strange sense of curiosity she reached forth to pat the ice cold surface, when she made contact something weird happened... it wasn't as if a voice told her, hell nothing told her, and there was absolutely no reason she should know this, yet in that instant the learned something. It was made of silver.

The accountant was taken aback, where on earth did she even get that idea? However part of her couldn't deny this was a silver statue, it just had to be. She touched the angel again, and again she felt the same thing, that same glimpse of truth that proved she wasn't wrong... it was very hard to explain really. Rena didn't say anything, instead she marched right onto the next statue in line, the statue that looked like a rifleman of some sorts. Soon as she laid even a finger it was the same result, but instead of silver it was iron then the next one; the boy with the hat was forged from zinc. Then the next one, it was boron... and so forth. By the time she got through the entire circle, Rena was visibly shaken up, what should she made from this sudden revelation of information, actually what could she do with it?

She tried her best to appear composed then attempted to gain the attention of her companions. "Um... uh guys? I don't want to sound crazy, believe me... but I know what these statues are made of. I-.... how do I put this... well they may all look the same, but they're not, actually they're made out of different elements, like I'm talking about iron or silver." Rena sighed heavily, seriously hoping they don't dismiss her as a lunatic. "I don't know how I know, but I just know, if that makes any goddamned sense."

As the 'trees' began to 'glow with life' all that could be said by Mabel was, "Fuck, those were my lucky dice." She scurried over towards the roots where they landed, however, the ground didn't want to allow her safe travel. As the earth below began to shift, she lost her footing, falling face first into the roots she aimed for. Luckily, the dice were intact, and should the menacing gales of wind stop blowing a game could be played. Though, that was the last thing on Mabel's mind, as she picked the dice up from ther resting place, the tree was sent flying several meters away, knocking a few others down on its journey.

"That was strange.. Hey, Hana, do you think it's safe to cut these trees down? It doesn't seem like the world is too happy right now, and well, I don't wanna piss it off anymore." She smirked at the lunacy she spoke, putting the dice back in her pocket.

As unnerving as the strange kid that had somehow seemingly teleported inside of the building, he wasn't acting hostile. Because of that, Joel wasn't able to do or say anything to him. However when he somehow unlocked the door for them, Joel was ecstatic. Who cares that he suddenly turned into mist, or that he left them with an weird message before he left? Joel was finally going to see the sky. Rushing outside, he took in the sky above him, and fell to his knees, with tears streaming down his face "it...it's so beautiful. I've made it big bro...I've finally made it." In his excitement, he failed to notice anything other than the sky. "I...I still have no idea how I got here, but I made it. Are you still watching me from heaven big bro? And that's when a terrifying thought entered his mind 'wait. Could I be...dead?' To Joel, that was quickly sounding more plausible as the idea rolled around in his head, until he started to believe it. Turning to the other two kids with him, he said "um, you guys? Well, I think...I think that we all d-died...and that this is heaven."

This... this wasn't right. Not on any level, not in any way. She could accept a certain level of oddities, a small amount of downright ludicrous happenings, but there were limits even to how much she could deal with before things just became too much for her. She had just been to the blacksmith in town--she still felt lucky that they even had someone like that in Newcastle--to collect the sword she had requested a few weeks back; an Ulfberht sword, engraved with a series of norse runes on them, and made to be fit for live practice--even sharpened. She still had the sword in its scabbard held in her hand, but that was about it. That is, if one did not count her yoga pants, running shoes, and tank top exposing the better part of her stomach; all that she wore during training.

The area she had arrived in was more or less exactly what she would have expected the Amazonas to be like, or maybe something similar to that. It was green--that much was obvious--and also full of life. No, teeming with life. She couldn't see much when she first appeared, but she could most definitely hear it.

"This isn't right," she muttered, looking around and almost missing the two other women near her, since the strange deer-like creature seemed to be the center of attention. She grimaced at its strange, humanoid face, finding it more than just a little creepy.

"This is so COOL!"

It was one of the other women who made the outburst, seemingly enthusiastic about their current whereabouts. If she had to make a guess she'd assume that whoever this one was, she was used to suddenly being teleported to random places, that may or may not be on earth. "I wouldn't exactly call this cool, miss, it's--" She caught movement in the corner of her eye, twisting around and drawing her sword out of its scabbard, holding it at the ready as the deer landed. Though it made by movement to be aggressive, she kept the sword out. Just in case he... it... decides to do anything.

For all of its strange behaviour and looks, it seemed friendly at least. It regarded the wheelchair bound girl intensely for a short moment before it turned towards her and the "Excited One". Her grip around the sword tightened, muscles flexing as they prepared to perform movements ingrained into their very fibre. It seemed, however, that the deer had no ill intent in mind, instead seeming content with only rubbing against her and The Excited One briefly. She lowered her sword, relaxing her muscles, but still kept it out of its sheath. She wasn't too fond of suddenly being in a completely new world, and no amount of friendly, human-faced animals were going to make her think otherwise.

"They seem friendly," she muttered out loud, noting how multitudes of different animals started appearing from all over the place. Every kind of beast and critter she had heard before now presented themselves in all their otherworldly glory and, if Chloe had any say in it, weirdness.

She glanced towards the Excited One, then the one in the wheelchair. "Asagami, was it? I'm Chloe... Do any of you two have any idea where we are? And for that matter, how we got here?" She slowly sheathed her sword, glancing around with a mix of curiosity and apprehension, now that the residents had proven themselves to be docile, or at the very least not hostile.

A wave of relief rushed over her when the strong man let her go, and she brushed the dust off of her clothes with a smile on her face. A mental note was made to thank Filip once everything had settled down, another to get the bigger guy's name. He seemed like a good person, perhaps just frightened like all of them. As well, his little nicknames for them seemed to give the impression that he thought she was a boy. It wasn't worth correcting, really, and Shill didn't mind too much, it was just the way she looked. One day maybe she'd grow her hair out longer, or dress differently, but for the time being adventuring came before looks.

Shill's eyes lit up when she heard the distant voice from beyond the door. There was someone there after all! She made her way over to it, knocking her knuckles against the steel while the rails descended from above. At first she didn't put it together, perhaps they were just unsure of their situation, or maybe the rails were simply part of the environment.

"Hey! Can you hear us? We'd very much appreciate it if you could open the door!" she called, though it became clear that the effort was in vain. Well, not entirely, the doors did open, it was just that when they did they opened to the sound of something coming towards them. No, not just something, water, that was undeniably water, which would have been comforting and welcomed did it not sound as though it were in an absolutely massive quantity.

A pit formed in Shill's stomach, and while it never seemed like a piece of information she'd need while inside of a giant volcano, she found it becoming exponentially more important that she couldn't swim.

Whirling back around to her companions, she looked to the railing and took a deep breath. "Oh boy, I think we're gonna need to hold on tight, she said. Shill wrapped her arms around it and turned her back towards the door, she didn't want to get hit full force in the face by however much water would be hitting them.

Before Dominic had been transported to Aurora, he had been happily laying in his bed at the new apartment he had just managed to raise the money to afford. It was a full day of training for him and decided he would relax a little, he deserved it in his mind. Just as he had gotten comfortable, his eyelids getting heavy in the comfort of his bed, he felt himself suddenly pulled from it all, as if he were falling through the floor of his own home. He didn't even have any time to react or yell, for before he knew it, he looked up to see that... wherever he was... he was no longer home.

Given that he had been in a laying position when he was transported, it was only expected that he would be in the same position when he had been whisked away, leaving him in the odd predicament of appearing in this new world roughly a few feet above the hard roof, and with physics cooperating, his body plus gravity finished the space between him and the ground, which so happened to be slightly harder than a mattress. With a start, Dominic shot up to his knees, his eyes wide with surprise and confusion, his hands clenched and muscles tense as if expecting a fight. Given a few minutes to allow his heart rate to slow ever so slightly, his face changed from wild confusion to awe as he took in the sight of the abandoned city, strangely enough looking far more high tech than anything he had ever seen before. He was definitely not in his home state of Michigan anymore.

He stood up, taking in the view from how high he was. His eyes were still glued to the abandoned city, seeing the vegetation that had reclaimed the towering buildings, giving the sense of a sort of serenity that nature had once more taken over what it once had before. It was deathly quiet, as if he were the only one here... could that be true? It would seem as if there were no one else here, though of course in his moment of confusion and wonder, he didnt think to look back to notice the two others that had appeared here seemingly out of nowhere alongside him.
