Cyano Conablum

Before Cyano had time to respond to Sam, she would find herself transported into what was presumably the "ethereal ones" main ship. Not that she had time to look around and make certain. The ethereal had already headed towards the door. As it reached out to the door, the ethereal warned her about the creature.

"A restoration of motor functions would suggest perhaps a lack of sentience. And if it's already developed a resistance to your abilities, then it's highly adaptable. Which would make its DNA highly unstable."

Musing over that and drawing her own conclusions, Cyano continued to follow the ethereal until they reached their destination. The room they entered was in stark contrast to the atmosphere of the rest of the ship. Rather then dim and blue, this room was bright. Obviously this was the lab. A pod holding the creature was in the center of the room. Though why it had wires was anyone's guess. If it was strong enough simply bashing against the glass could be enough to rip the wires out, or even worse, destabilize the ships balance. Though, that wasn't her problem. Already the creature was beginning to stir however. It's lifeless body twitchin every once in a while. Of course, then the ethereal began to speak again. And then it became her problem. Ignoring everything else, and knowing what she had been told, the one thing that stuck out was the embryo.

"Wait a second, did you really just tell me that you stuck an embryo into the body of something that you know is highly adaptable, and can reform itself without even the most base of motor functions? As a failsafe? Following the rule that if something bad can happen it will happen, I hope for your sake whatever you put in that thing was something safe, and preferably cuddly, like a kitten. Otherwise your going to have a but of a problem on your hands. But insight... well..."

Cyano returned her multi weapon to her belt and began to pace around the room. It would be painfully obvious that Cyano was about to go on a rather long spiel.

"Alright, so what we know is that this creature is highly adaptable. As far as you told me. And we know that even though you basically destroyed it's brain, it's reforming, and quickly. We can draw a few conclusions. First off is that it has a highly unstable DNA that can change itself within a shirt amount of time. As for a few basic facts we all should know that DNA is constantly being created within living beings. Normally DNA simply recreates itself over and over. Supposing it's adaptability is as high as you would say, this means that this creatures DNA does not recreate itself, but rather adapts itself to fit the creatures needs. It would also have to recreate itself incredibly quickly. Which in itself would be a result of another factor. But I won't go into that. Now, onto the matter of the "fail-safe" you mentioned. First off, if the creature really is that adaptable, then right now that embryos DNA is more then likely binding itself to the creatures DNA. So when it's reformed fully it will have features relating to the embryo. This means, in short, your fail safe is more then likely a failure. And if such is the case we can assume that any other such modifications would quickly be overcome. Therefore we would need to find the source of this adaptability, and find some way to neutralize it. Once that is out of the way, you could theoretically do what you want to the creature. The DNA would still be unstable and ripe for genetic restructuring. Of course in order for it to not adapt to the attempts to neutralize it, you would need to "kill" the creature. As in fully stop all of its functions. Seeing as how it's already reforming death is not an option, as new DNA would still be created. So the second option is to freeze the process. There are several ways to do this..."

Cyano would drone on about it, her extensive knowledge shining through. Though, the matter still remained and would no doubt be on the ethereals mind, that the question now wasn't how advanced Cyano was compared to the ethereals resources, but how advanced were the ethereals compared to Cyano's technology.

"...as brought up the speed of which makes live genetic restructuring impossible, supposing that's what you wanted to do. Alright. That's enough thinking for me today. Do you have anything to drink on this ship? That's also safe for my consumption?"

Finishing her spiel, Cyano leaned back against one of the walls, and let herself slide down to the floor. Hopefully the ethereal caught all of that as she wasn't repeating herself. If her slack jawed imbeciles of a genetics team could do something simple like a live genetic restructuring, it should be mere child's play for this obviously so advanced race to freeze the creatures reproductive system and do a deceased genetic restructuring.

"Oh, and food. I don't know about you but I think on a full stomach"

Über Ethereal

Overseer Research Ship, Universe Unknown

Cyano's monologue to expose her knowledge didn't impress the Ethereal, or rather it was what it expected from an individual of her caliber. What she was exposing made a lot of sense and was clearly established by the many teams working on the case. She did seem preoccupied about what they had implanted in the beast which was of course warranted given what Apocalypse had demonstrated in the past. She then spoke of the options they could have to limit the progress of the monster and possibly annihilate him entirely, though there were issues with those suggestions as well, and the Ethereal would inform her of such obstacles so they could collectively find the best alternatives.

"Your worries are heard. The embryo we have implanted is a genetically modified Chryssalid larva in a dormant stage. Reproductive functions have been stripped from its genetic code and its general traits can be summarized as similar to the Bestial One's in a much weaker level."

Using its psionic abilities, the Ethereal made various holograms containing data on the Chryssalid manifest around the blue haired woman's being. She had access to all information concerning the beast, including how they were mere simple creatures and followed a limited hive-mind. There was also other information concerning Apocalypse's results when extracting samples of his body, including how rapid his healing factors was and the recordings of its battle with the leading Ethereal. The footage was put in slow motion to clearly observe how quickly the beast adapted to plasma grenades after multiple exposures.

"The larva feeds off the nervous system and derives nutrients while delivering a powerful toxin that enables control of motor functions. This Bestial One wields such a system but nothing else. The embryo is currently within an alloy shell, in the hopes of keeping any information on its genetic code to have contact with the specimen's DNA. Considering the minuscule size of the embryo, we have found it wise to implant it near the cerebellum area preventing any extraction without severe damage to the brain. When active, the shell will open and awaken to larva which will in turn infect the system. The Ethereal Ones wish to observe the extent of the specimen's adaptive capabilities, if it can bypass such a powerful alloy and possibly observe how long it would take for it to fully counteract the Chryssalid Toxin's influence. Unfortunately, we have an even bigger problem, Conablum."

The Ethereal would hover over toward one of the human-Quincy scientists and signaled the female to go and retrieve what Cyano wished. It would then extract multiple encrypted documents from the computer and have them appear around the woman once more. These ones held more troubling information, the concept that Apocalypse's abilities would most likely extend beyond genetics and DNA and hit his entire atomic structure altogether.

"Upon further experimentation, we were able to sever atomic bonds of each cell in the specimen's body. What we have discovered is the ability for these same atoms to adapt to their surroundings and gather matter in order to rebuild itself. We are equipped for Stasis and we have conducted plans to eliminate it if necessary, but it has become clear. The Ethereal Ones are testing their luck by keeping this being in proximity to anything."

The Uber Ethereal didn't seem as neutral this time around. It seemed somewhat worried in regards to what Apocalypse could entail if all their efforts were to fail. By then the Quincy would have returned with a Milkshake and a typical Bugger and Fries from the fast food joint they had implemented specifically for the human labor of the ship. Cyano would likely not want the atrocity that is alien food.

"Mikoto. We await the Basterbine report. Has your team completed it?"

The alien inquired as its raspy voice echoed through the ship like a loud speaker. The report didn't actually concern anything that Bambietta had done, but rather one of the solutions found to the Apocalypse problem and likely the one that would cause the least amount of damage and easier to confirm.

~Diabolic Esper and Lord Knight~

While it seemed like he was going to get beat up by these two girls, Elsword was immensely surrounded in a red essence, seeming to tank all of the hits that were coming at him. This was his Aura of Destruction, a passive ability that allowed him to tank through hits and return with strong retaliation attacks. The downside was that he was much slower than before, but it didn't stop him from swinging that Armageddon Blade all around.

"Let's see if you can tank this, you pathetic Lord Knight! PARTICLE ACCELERATOR!"

With his Configuration mode on, Add aimed his Dynamos at the slowly charging Knight, a strong burst of electrical energy forcing Elsword back. Despite his struggle to keep his feet on the ground, Elsword couldn't stand his ground and was blasted quite high into the sky by the force of the attack.

"ADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!! YOU ASSHOLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"

They were able to hear the Knight cursing the Esper out as he was pretty much out of their sight.

"Well, there goes that nuisance, now where were we? Ah yes... we had an interest on scoping out this area... isn't that right?" Add looked over at Ika and Cia. He was sure that the Lord Knight didn't hurt them, considering that he was able to tell that Elsword was still holding back and only had the Armageddon Blade out to intimidate them.

@Absolis@Cuccoruler

~Lapis Lazuli and Lord Knight~

As Lapis silently continued to follow the group eventually to the palace, an obnoxiously loud yell could be heard coming their way.

"-YOU ASSHOLEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"

"W-What the hel- GAH!"

Like a random meteor crashing down, Lapis made a nasty thud to the ground as Elsword made a rough landing and broke his fall by crashing into her. By then, Elsword's Armageddon Blade spell wore off, so at least no one got accidentally stabbed by that huge magic sword thing. Once the dust settled from that impact, the Lord Knight groggily pulled himself off of the bounty hunter.

"Ah fuck... that hurt so much... that asshole Esper..." Elsword grumbled out these curses, still aimed at Add (who wasn't around at the time), and then passed out. Lapis, on the other hand, stumbled back onto her feet, a few snaps and cracks of her neckbone could be heard as she managed to get herself somewhat back and situated after that fall.

"... er, does anybody know this guy?" That was all she could ask concerning the unconscious Lord Knight.

Kanakuma
New York City

A nice breeze flowed through the city, but it was much cooler than it should've been, or so the Oni thought. A City was usually bustling with activity, but this one was really dead. Very few people were here, and she doubted a single one of them were its natural inhabitants. Some of them may well have fit in perfectly fine at Gensyoko, rather than the Outside world. But a city like this being abandoned was madness, even going beyond the fact she was ripped out of Old Hell against her wishes and brought here.

She had been pondering the nature of this incident for the last half an hour as she walked among the ruins of this city. It hadn't just been abandoned, but parts of it were being grown over by nature. It wasn't as if everyone had just left; rather, it was if everyone had simply stopped existing. That was almost as worrying as arriving in this world in the first place.

Though at some point she had decided to start stalking the girl had in turn been stalking someone else. There really wasn't anything to do other than take swigs from her gourd and take in the scenery. But seeing as though she was an Oni and this person was a human, she'd just abduct them so as to have someone to talk to. Besides, there seemed to be someone going back and forth between this city and somewhere else. Kanakuma wanted to follow where they went and poke around. It'd be more interesting than here, and maybe there'd be people.

With a final swing of her gourd, she set off down the street at break neck speed, charging after Isabel A Whirlwind of destruction followed in her wake, and the only thing Isabel's high quality eyes would make out would be a clearly drunk girl with horns charing after her at superhuman speeds.

"Footing loose! Nooooooo!"

The floor beneath Grimlock began to fall as the space bridge tower collapsed around him. He could only shout in indignation as gravity pulled him towards the ground. Simultaneously, explosions began to erupt around him, and his vision was filled with white.

-----------------

As his systems rebooted, Grimlock found himself splayed out in the rubble of a long-since collapsed building. Last thing he could remember, he was attempting to escape a collapsing tower. It was a pleasant memory, seeing as how he had ripped off the arm of the Decepticon mad scientist, Shockwave. Having been in his alternate form at the time, he not only ripped it off with his jaws, but swallowed the arm as well. He wished he could have destroyed more of the creep.

Slowly raising himself up, the massive Dinobot found he was much bigger than he last remembered. While he normally loomed above both Autobots and Decepticons alike, the buildings around him were proportionally smaller than they should have been. It was as if they were constructed by minicons. Upon closer inspection, they didn't even seem of Cybertronian design. The materials they were constructed with clearly weren't metal. They also had organic compounds in them, said compounds being nonexistent on Cybertron. Even he knew that. All of this brought up an important question.

"Where ... am I"

Activating his massive sword, he began to carefully move out onto what was once a city street. He was very aware of the shockwaves he created as he walked, serving to give his position away to any threats nearby. Not that he cared. He was confident that he could take anything this new world could dish out at him.

As Nova approached what appeared to be a small child with a toy train, the child raised the train to their face. For a moment, Nova could feel dimensional energies surging as a path was forged through the veil of reality. It was in essence similar to a warp portal, breaking down the barriers between two dimensions and opening a conduit for matter and energy to transfer between them. However, this portal seemed to come into existence around the child, as they were instantly pulled into a different dimension. Even with his inhuman reflexes and nigh-omniscience, Nova had been unable to prevent the child from being drawn away. There was no telling where they had been teleported off to, or whether they would ever return to this realm.

((If he comes back, he can just say he was ported to the local corner store.))

Nova sighed, as he picked up the toy train. The only thing that remained. It seemed he had been correct in his suspicions, and that this child had taken the terminal from the shop. Whether this had been intentional was now impossible to tell, but if the child was out there somewhere, with this terminal, it should be possible for him to find it. If the child was still alive, in some far-flung reality, he would need to draw it back here, or to return it to it's dimension of origin.

However, a more pressing concern presented itself.

A burning headache errupted in Nova's skull, as he suddenly felt the pressure of a Thousand souls on his psyche. Like the cry of some abberation echoing inside of his skull. He gritted his teeth before retaliating in kind, a great psionic whip slashing through the warp. He recognized the pain he had been dealt, and he knew that his most ancient enemies had followed him to this realm. He could feel their foul presence in the warp, the immense creatures of destruction and corruption that had been dubbed the Chaos Gods. Although he could imagine no being further from the ideals a God must embody. However, far more worrying was that these beings seemed to be completely free, unshackled and unhalted, as they had existed before the Fall of the Eldar Empire, when first he had needed to subdue them. Removing his psionic presence from the warp had left them with no opponent to fight, and they were now running amock. This further forced him to question what state his home universe would be in when he returned, how much damage the Chaos Gods had caused in his brief absence. Whether or not there would be anything left to rebuild.

The very air darkened, and every sentient being on the planet could feel a pressure in their minds. Seductive whispers of power, knowledge, lust, and (for some reason) tuberculosis. All of these were offered as gifts, free of charge, as the psionic might of the Chaos Gods imprinted their wishes on the minds of every being in this universe. Their will attempting to corrupt those here by playing to their basest desires, to grant them the gifts of the Warp. A Thousand offers were made in the span of a second, as whispering voices laughingly played with the desires and minds of those here. Several might find themselves offended at the clearly demonic offers, some might find the experience overwhelming, and still others might be tempted to accept. But most worrying of all was the immense psionic storm that was brewing in the sky, like a Rift the size of a continent. A massive disturbance in reality. Every being with the ability to sense such things could feel immense power radiating from it, and yet faintly hear the screams of a billion souls in torment from it's depths.

The Earth trembled, the sky quaked, and the oceans turned to blood. A single observation vessel drove unexpectedly into the Warp, the ethereal on board screaming in garbled alien tongues before exploding. It was swiftly crushed by the immense hand that emerged from it. A massive red claw, like the hand of the Biblical devil himself, each finger the size of a mountain, each claw made of solidified darkness. The hand of Khorne reached out, and the observation ship seemed to be annihilated by it's mere presence. The grasping fingers reached for the planet, as if attempting to pull it, too, into the Warp. To draw it into a realm of Daemonic torment, a hell where every sentient mind would be plagued forever, the soul nothing more than a snack to those that dwelt there.

Nova emerged in front of the Palace, surprising the group of heroes who had no doubt been staring into the sky. He was burning brighter than ever, and looking straight at him was nearly blinding. A pair of wings emerged from his back, forged from light and steel, and he wielded a sword of flames that radiated an unspeakable power. And even as the Chaos Gods spread lies, disorders and corruption, their mere presence enough to drive most to madness, the Emperor was a bastion of light. Absolute order personified, the power of all of Earth's shamans incarnated into a single body, a single mind, a single will. Doubt, hatred, and fear were washed away by his presence, a comforting and yet determined aura that filled the minds of all who regarded him. This was the form he had taken when first he had risen into the sky to do battle with the Chaos Gods, when he had still carried the name of Micheal. And now, it was a form he must done again.

A pillar of light emanated from the Emperor, and smashed into the grasping claw of Khorne. Not in a match of strength, but of sheer unadulterated power, as the God Emperor forced the laws of reality onto the Dark God, ripping the immense arcane construct to pieces. His might was cast out in the void, as the hundred Thousand spells of Tzeench were shattered, enchantments and illusions fading away before his light. The plagues of nurgle festered in those unwary of them, and yet his healing power caused them to be banished from this world. And lastly the Emperor faced the most powerful of the Chaos Gods, Slaanesh. He could feel the savage creature throwing attack after attack at him, his psyche being torn into by a billion mental claws. But the Dark Gods were weak in this world, unable to cope with the laws of reality. And he banished Slaanesh's influence as well, back to the Warp.

He knew that he could not continue to fight them here. They would rise and recover faster than he would, and they would cast this entire universe into darkness. The Chaos would devour worlds far in the distance, or simply invade some universe where there was no God Emperor to hold them back. He could not contain them while remaining here, and yet he could not discard his mortal form. For in essence it was this form that differentiated them, this mortal husk to which he bound himself. If he were to ascend into a purely psionic form, what was to stop the impurity of the Warp from corrupting him as well? From turning him into the very being he sought to contain. The sixth Chaos God, to complete the pantheon and finally annihilate all life in the Multiverse.

Shit, he hadn't even known there was a Multiverse before today.

Sighing, Nova relinquished much of his divine power. He sacrificed it, forging it into a seperate entity from himself still linked to him. His divine will extended into the Warp, where it would fight to subdue the Chaos Gods. He could not destroy them, or even completely contain them, but he could hold them back. To prevent them from crafting physical forms in the Materium, to banish them from existing in this plane. As for their remaining influence in this world... well, he'd just have to deal with that personally.

The Warp Storm did not subside, although it did not grow in power. And the whispers were still there, softly making endless promises to those who were prepared to listen. But they were subdued, weakened. For now they were mere offers, instead of orders, and no longer could the will of Chaos devour the weaker beings. It was possible for the Emperor to remove the Warp Storm, to close the rift. But he wished the attention of the Chaos Gods here, to keep their eye and fight their forces. For every Daemon they sent to defeat him was one Daemon not running amock in the worlds of man. Every attack they launched on him was an attack taken from the minds of the innocent. But the Chaos Gods were here now, and their servants were soon to follow.

@Savato@Absolis
[Overseer UFO, Unknown Universe, Apocalypse]
As the Ethereal approached the containment area of the mysterious creature, it was informed of the rather remarkable development that had been observed within the creature. It's body had seemingly analyzed the power of the Ethereals, and restructured it's nervous system. This new and restructured system caused the psionic energy applied to it to be subdivided over several 'levels' and massively spread out. Furthermore, certain levels of the 'brain' could be shut off at will, as another part of the brain rapidly took on the functions of the removed area. This meant that it would cost almot 100x more effort to affect Apocalypse with psionic abilities, making most of them nearly useless against him. Furthermore he was able to shut down parts of his nervous system and 'rebuild' them on the spot, in order to counter any attempt at mind control. It was clear that it would be nigh impossible to defeat the being again using a similar method.

Perhaps more worrying was the fact that it's outer body had developed a specialized layer of ceramic-like material, a coating that was highly resistant to heat and worked with a controlled vacuum to vastly reduce the amount of damage dealt by heat-based attacks. This effect seemed to be increased by the fact that the experimentation team had been using lasers to cut the creature open. It appeared that the more damage it's body was dealt, the more resistant it would become to the source of the damage. Even after 'death' it continued to become more dangerous, and subduing the creature a second time would be troublesome at best.

Lastly, it had been discovered that almost any material that existed within the Bestial One's body was designed to kill. It was impossible to derive any form of nutrition from it, and indeed it didn't seem to require nutrition of any kind. Instead it seemed to somehow be able to draw energy from the quantum spectrum on a cellular level, a phenomenon that outdid even the Ethereal's methods of energy generation as it provided a potentially limitless supply of energy seemingly from nowhere. In fact the aliens had come to the conclusion that the mere presence of this creature in this universe was slightly counteracting entropy, creating higher-order energy. As such they had been forced to place a long-term nutritional substitute within the capsule, which would sustain the larva for about a year.

Of course, each of these facts was alarming in and of themselves. But it was made considerably worse by the fact that Apocalypse's neural network seemed to be activating once more, as the higher brain functions became enabled. This was a last reboot, a simply check if all vital systems were in place, and it was clear the creature would awaken. The ethereal would now have a chance to move Apocalypse to a greater containment area, place it in stasis, or attempt to convince it not to attack. Whatever approach it would take, it had about a minute to do it before Apocalypse would be fully resurrected.

Imperial Palace (Wynn)

@Gummi Bunnies@thewizardguy@Lmpkio

Wynn was looking with her usual blank stare at the newcomer Elsword. "Nope, never heard of him." She said, listening to all the swears words he spouted. "You know, don't say swears." she said at him, without any introduction, mostly because she didn't care about one. Suddenly, some kind of scar opened in the sky, Cybuster came out of it and landed with a loud thud.

"Ta-da! Elemental Lord of the Wind Cybuster has arrived!" declared Akina loudly. "And then, there's this asshole..." said Wynn ((You know, don't say swears)). Masaki gets out of his mech and Akina lands on the ground. "Hi guys! Akina here! And my friend here is Masa!" she said. "Akina, what i told you about the no nickname thing?" said Masaki with an urge to pull her hair. "Ah, I'm sorry mate! I'm just a little excited Masaki." She said.

"Whatever, as you can see, everyone is safe, but no thanks to you!" said Wynn. "Ah! But i know where they might be." said Akina with a wink. "Might?" Wynn was confused. "You see, they took a portal to a city far away from here." said Akina putting up a hologram version of the world map. "And according to the cordinates i just inputed from the portal i touched, plus the fact that this looks like an abandoned Planet Earth...they are at Bern, Switzerland." said Akina. "I see, so you're suggesting us to attack as soon as possible? As you see, we all struggled against a single, psychic user, what do you think we'll be of any help?" Wynn complained. "I never said anything about that...i want you guys to choose." said Akina. "Choose?" Wynn repeated.

"I have the ability to take you guys back to your worlds." she stated, Masaki and Wynn where surprised with that. "The more away you are from your world, a dimensional distortion might grow at every second on your world, since you all might be key piece to the story of your worlds, and if that piece is missing..." said Akina. "Although, if your world is known for dimensional traveling, then it doesn't have that much of a problem...the damage is reduced, but still, if many worlds are engulfed, the distortions might spread throught the Multiverse...causing an unbalance and...major destruction...So keeping balance between Universes, never letting them be destroyed...is my duty as a WT Agent." said Akina with a serious face for once.

"So...why didn't you take us back before?" Wynn asked. "Because, i don't know if you all are here on your own or...someone brought you here. And if we took you back, who knows you guys would end up here again. If we knew the reason, we could counter it, despite we being able to the the impossible possible, we're not omniscient. And i think those guys we fought before are probably the primary suspects." said Akina. "I see...a vicious cycle then..." said Wynn. "Here's the choice, come back to your world and pretend this never happened, or stay here and help us solve this massive problem." Wynn said, giving everyone around a choice. "Of course i'll stay, there's no way we can't let these guys you mentioned roam free." Said Masaki, he had once helped another dimension who had a similar problem like this one, people been taken from many universes teaming up together was nothing new to him, Wynn on the other hand, didn't had an immediate answer.

" Heh, my apologies. I'm so used to teleporting people who are used to it, but I hope the fall didn't hurt you any. And, I'll keep the favor in mind, never know when I might need it. "

Xellos was happy he got a favor in return, those were always more valuable than almost everything else. He wasn't the type to get himself into any deep trouble, but he wasn't sure about all of these strange people and how they'd react. Common things from where he is from might come off as openly hostile to them.

Oh well, he should probably had back to the previous city, it looked more interesting there anyway.

Ika Musume

Ika Musume tried to hold on, but sadly the knight managed to escape, causing her tentacles to rip. Ika Musume quickly fell backwards, and began to tear up. She watched as Cia tried and failed to do much damage to the knight, and then as Add launched him into the sky. In about the time it took for the knight to dissappear from view however, Ika Musumes tentacles had grown back and she was once again ready for action.

Cyano Conablum

Cano examined the images of the Chrysallid the ethereal had brought up. She found it to be an interesting creature. After a quick examination she turned to the recordings of their battle. The creature alone had managed to rip down several buildings. If it hadn't been for the ethereals psychic powers, it would probably be dead right now.

The ethereal began to inform Cyano about the a safeties they put in place for the embryo. As well as what they were hoping to learn from it. Suffice to say, all that did was convince Cyano that the ethereal was a mad man tempting fate. Which was further cemented by the fact that he stated he was aware it was a huge risk keeping him here.

"So, it's not just on a genetic level, but rather an atomic one. Honestly it makes things simpler, atoms are easier to isolate then DNA, but it also makes it all the more worrying. If..."

Cyano stopped as one of the scientists handed her a plate of food. Fast food at that. Pretty low quality compared to the food she was used to, but hey, food is food. Cyano took a bite before continuing

"If it's reforming on an atomic level, then it's nigh impossible to fully destroy it. You would have to basically erase it from existence. I know a way to do it. But it would be incredibly difficult, and I'm guessing it wouldn't work here. Considering that he's still here..."

Cyano stopped again but this time there was a good reason. Glancing over at the tank, it would be clear that the creature was about to get up. Hopefully the others in the room had noticed. Cyano stood up and immediately switched her nanomites to physical augmentation. No doubt the Ethereal would suddenly feel her minds presence, and in fact could take her down right then should he want to, but hostilities to the Ethereal were the farthest things from her mind, and if he had any semblance of intelligence, hostility towards Cyano would also be the last thing on his mind.

Isabel, New York City

There... wasn't really much Isabel could really do at this point. She had noticed the... oni? It was an oni, right? a Japanese mythological creature of some sort? If so, why was it here, in the middle of abandoned New York, and why was it after her? Was this really a mage's trap after all? Was she actually asleep, and in real life a shadowrunning team was out to Geek her at this very moment?

Whatever the case, she didn't have much time to think about just what it was that was coming for her. Instead, she reached right into her coat and pulled out her machine pistol, aiming it right at the Oni in hopes that it would stop right there. How had she missed it? Was that a giant gourd? How could she have missed such an obvious sign - had she been too focused on following the boy to realize that she was being followed herself? @Punished Homura

Über Ethereal

Overseer Research Ship, Universe Unknown

@Absolis@thewizardguy@AgentFallenSoul

Cyano did bring in a valid point that reducing the problem to an atomic had its benefits. But it still didn't help that such characteristics were generally unknown to their respective universes. Especially when considering how they emitted a mysterious energy and their way of consuming matter as a form of nutrient to regenerate. Indeed, they weren't in a position where they could make definitive conclusions after only having this beast around for about an hour.

"We have formulated multiple plans to eliminate the threat in the case where elimination would be required. It has also been confirmed that the destruction of the brain will render it inactive for an extended period of time."

The data presented before Cyano manifested itself into a few of the plans offered by the Ethereal's researchers to completely destroy Apocalypse if he were to be too much of a problem. One mentioned of the use of an Anti-Matter Bomb, a weapon they could create but manufacturing it for the precise moment could be difficult. Another one was formulated by Quincy researchers, insuring that they could very well use Shinigami and Arrancar techniques to extract Apocalypse's soul and leave the body empty of any active function. Finally, she'd notice that this ship would indeed be equipped with a weapon that could theoretically end Apocalypse as well as the whole crew. The sphere of energy in the control room, once left unstable, could turn into a Black Hole and easily swallow the beast. There were a few others files, but strangely enough, she wouldn't have any access to them, most likely because they involved specific weapons and actors from the Dark Outliners, information that could be dangerous to expose to a stranger.

"Mikoto will display our most sure-kill alternative in a state of crisis. Though perhaps you'd like to share this solution you appear to be confident in the efficiency."

But as Cyano was given a proposition to respond to, alarms started to sound in the research bay and multiple barriers formed around the tube as it became clear that Apocalypse had awoken. The barriers were resilient and many layers were put to sponge the immense strength delivered from the strikes. Many researchers in the area decided to back off while a few others remained speechless at the sight of the active Apocalypse. The gel surrounding his body would greatly limit his mobility and likely restrain him enough to keep the beast listening.

"It appears ... The Bestial One has come back among us."

The Ethereal faced the monster head on, its voice passing without a problem through the barriers. It got at close as possible to the final barrier before stopping. With complete brain activity, it became clear the abomination had developed a keen resistance to the 'Gift', though there were no signs of psionic activity in his being. Not yet anyway.

"Perhaps now of all times would be adequate to discuss motives. Eventually you will be free, and you will destroy everything. However, we will not hesitate to eliminate ourselves in order to delete you from this existence if you were to run loose in a rampage. You have been warned. In spite of your uncontrollable nature, we've deduced that a certain level of sentience exists within you and reason should not be entirely foreign to your mind. Is this correct? If so, then there is no reason for us to avoid a discussion. We have eternity before us, after all, don't we? Maybe you would be interested in exposing your motives in this world, O' Bestial One."

The Ethereal wanted a response from it more than actual answers. It was to confirm whether Apocalypse was truly capable of grasping a minimum level of reason and sensible judgement to avoid thrashing about in a place where he would likely perish if making a wrong move.

Gojira-San

As Gojira-San got to where Nova and the boy was, he suddenly got warped into a portal which suddenly opened from within! Unable to move in shock, she watches as Nova and the boy enter it. She would normally walk in, but her primal instincts told her not to. Fearing that bad things will come out beyond her control and that it might come to the Palace, she runs back to Yoh's last known location and takes her by the hand.

"We need to go." she says urgently, "Now!"

The two would then quickly head back to the Palace, hoping that the others had returned from their fight.

Ryu

Alas, Ryu and the other eventually made it back to the palace. He was relieved that no one followed them back, but was still worried on that Alliance coming back. As he enters the doors, allowing everyone in he looks around carefully.

"Nova!" he calls out urgently, "We need to~"

Yet it appears that no one had answered, for he was not to be seen. He begins to look around for him, yet with no avail.

"Where's Nova?" he asks aloud, "I thought he'd be here..."

But his answer will arise from the heights of the sky. What everyone would see is a brilliant light show, which little did they know was a portal opening up with Nova fighting the oncoming daemons! Nothing could be done as he would look up in pure awe and fear as Nova continued fighting for the sake of this world. The light show would finish fantastically as the god-being would unleash a pillar of light, pushing back and ultimately destroying the portal. Where ever Nova was, Ryu and the others needed to talk to him urgently.

"HEY!" he shouts to the wind, hoping that Nova would come to the call, "WE'RE BACK, AND BAD THINGS WILL BE COMING OUR WAY, EXCLUDING WHAT JUST HAPPENED UP THERE!

Apocalypse awakened inside the pod, as it glared around the massive white room. It could see several beings, and yet he knew already that all of them were weak. Worthless cannon fodder, and to be discarded from it's mind. Instead it's attention was grasped by the two beings who had placed themselves directly in front of his apparent containment cell. He could further sense that his position had changed in a far more profound way, that he now occupied a completely new dimension. The two creatures in front of him were not mere cannon fodder. One was the creature that had last killed it, the powerful psionic creature that had called itself an Ethereal. The other was strange, it could sense body heat emanating from it, and yet he could also sense an inhumanly powerful electromagnetic field, indicating the presence of a large amount of electronics of some description in or around her. Quite probably a cyborg of some description.

Before Apocalypse could begin to bash the walls, the tall creature talked. It doubted Apocalypse's intelligence, and threatened the perfect being with destruction. Apocalypse merely grinned, moving it's face closer to the barrier. "You wish to know my.... motive? I wish only to fulfill my original goal, the reason I was first designed. To leave a trail of destruction across the Multiverse, to face the most powerful beings this reality can produce. To ascend beyond them all, and to take my rightful place as the Perfect Being. To rise beyond all others, and defeat my... what is the word you use? Parent?" Apocalypse was relatively new to language, having been created from an incarnation of Doomsday incapable of speech. However, Batman's DNA had granted it the ability to perform advanced reasoning, as well as a knowledge of language. It spoke almost every Earth language, as well as four alien languages.

But let's talk about you, shall we? You fought and killed me, and now I'm back. And your little tricks won't work any more. You put me in a little box, and you really think this will hold me? That this ship will hold me?" Apocalypse moved towards the edge of the barrier, his large clawed hand placed on top of it. Punching would be hard in such a small environment, especially with the special gel covering him. However, he had begun exerting an immense amount of force on the barriers. While he certainly wasn't putting his all into it, it was clear from the ease with which he did it that if he wished to, he could break out of this barrier with relatively little effort. It would hold him for five minutes at most, if negotiations were to go south.

Misaka Mikoto

@Absolis@Savato@thewizardguy

Misaka entered through sliding doors and behind her several others stumbled to catch up with her, some out of breath, others fixing their glasses. She turned and they instantly straighten themselves under her gaze "Go make yourselves useful" they scattered, going off to help the others in the room and Misaka sighed, taking her hair out of the ponytail it was in, she retied it and put her hands in the pockets of her white lab coat "I'm too young to deal with dumbasses Uber, you'd figure quincy would be smart, but instead I get them" some of them looked back at her in disdain and it was an almost instant feeling of pure electricity in the air that made them instantly turn back to their work "But I suppose a race that is responsible for Bambi is...yeah" she looked around the Uber and extended her hand towards Cyano before moving by her.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Misaka Mikoto, not really sure what my job is here, for now I'm a head scientist, I suppose? Also I'm terribly sorry, anyone who meets Bambi gets an apology from me, the women is a blood thirsting maniac, great leader I will say, but that doesn't make up for much, anyways" she sat down at a screen and quickly began sweeping on it, entering a code quickly, while the alarm went off she watch the Uber deal with it, she motioned for another screen to come up so she could watch the Uber and a Quincy quickly came by "Alright Uber, I'm sure you can read me, so im sure you already figured out the regenerative factor the thing has is out of this world, a scientific marvel" at this point she was also talking to anyone in the room "and from what I was testing, as much as it pains me to say it, Bambietta is the best bet. I tested it with my power and it was capable of absorbing almost 500 million volts, which is absurd. However after testing my power at higher levels, i figured out why it was suddenly being destroyed. After 500 million or so, it clicked in my head that I was destroying essentially all of it, from what I could see to the much smaller things. After testing further I tested it at the peek of my power and essentially vaporized the test subject I had. So after thinking of what could be done, to me at least, Bambietta is going to be your best bet and here's why."

Pulling up a video of Bambietta fighting in full combat "I know you can't see it, maybe you can, regardless what I pulled up is Bambi's Vols. What I think is going to be the easiest and safest bet is letting Bambi throw as many orbs as possible at him and everything around him. With enough of them, she'll be hitting him so many times, he wont be able to regenerate from it, nor get use to the explosions, because Bambi can simply just send 40 at a time and amplify it's power more and more until there is virtually nothing left of him, it'll be the cleanest way and for right now, easiest, so what's the plan?" she leaned back in the chair with her hands in her pocket, switching the screen to watch the Uber talk to the beast. By now, the quincy began to leave the room and only Cyano and Misaka were left in there.

Über Ethereal

Overseer Research Ship, Universe Unknown

@AgentFallenSoul@thewizardguy@Absolis

Finally a response, and a clear one too. The Dark Outliners knew that sooner or later they would encounter such a being that would wish to bring the end of every existing universe. Finally confronted to what they deemed to be their enemy, they would have to make use of the current circumstances to learn as much as they could and use such awesome abilities to their advantage. At least before it would likely destroy itself because of its evident solitary behavior. The biggest threat to the Multiverse would be a coalition of entities such as this, thus reducing the overall risk he represented. Nonetheless, he was a threat and could easily destroy the majority of what was relevant.

Apocalypse would then go on to ask a question to the leading Ethereal. The ship could not hold him for very long, they were all aware of this, but they also had the resources to neutralize him before heavy damage would be made. Even so that would only be a temporary remedy, they had many methods to get rid of him as he stood. Misaka would by he time enter the scene and present her research. She wasn't an actual researcher, but she had the power to easily command a team and keep things together. A useful asset to the Outliners, especially given the reasons why she had joined such a shady group to begin with. As Misaka briefed the two higher minds, the Ethereal would respond accordingly.

"We should not be foolish. We both know this will not contain you, Bestial One. But we also know we can eliminate you in spite of the price we would have to pay. You are free to attempt an escape, but we are also prepared. Before we even have to refer to absolute destruction, we may proceed to neutralizing you for an extended period of time. It is only sensible to assume that being reduced into your previous comatose state is not something you would wish to happen. You may endlessly regenerate, but there are equally endless ways to annihilate your cerebral functions before you regain complete neural activity."

The Ethereal was confident in what it exposed. They could be extremely creative in the ways they'd endlessly 'kill him' to postpone his awakening over and over. Even so, it knew it was playing with fire when using such a risky tactic to study the being. Because the barriers could hold out for a while and the beast did not seem to go at full force to break free, they still had some time to discuss their current positions regarding each other.

"Your power is astonishing, to say the least. Which is why we have not removed you from existence. If destroying and increasing your power is what you yearn for, then perhaps we could be of interest to each other. As you must be aware, multiple threats litter this Multiverse, many surpassing your current state. Rather than running the guaranteed risk of failing in your one and only motive, we can mutually help each other in purging such threats. We are currently unable to obligate you into anything, but refusal will lead to an inevitable termination."

The alien turned around to face both females, notably Misaka who had finished demonstrating the results of the research. She wasn't very eloquent in her explanation and the way she announced it made the whole process seem futile. However, the results that were found did confirm that no traces of Apocalypse would be left with this project.

"Mikoto. Although incorrect, the method you have employed was efficient and you can only be congratulated for the results. Using Basterbine's Reishi to convert the entirety of this being into what she refers as a 'bomb' would be essentially transforming everything into energy and vanish into nothingness. Bestial One, it has also come to our attention that multiple research teams are intrigued as to whether or not you go by any form of Alias. A trivial yet intriguing piece of information nonetheless."

Once it addressed Apocalypse it had turned back to face him, fully aware that if it would fail to negotiate with the monster, barely anyone on this ship would be able to stop it on its tracks. Misaka and Cyano being possible assets but the alien still had little knowledge of what she was truly capable of.

@AgentFallenSoul@Savato
Apocalypse considered the offer. After a moment of uncharacteristic contemplation, the creature raised it's hand from the glass. It had inherited great strength from Doomsday, but he had also retained some of Batman's cunning. Although, admittedly, not much. He could tell, however, that brute force would not allow him to live through the day. Whereas he severely doubted the Ethereal's ability to keep him in stasis indefinitely, he knew that eventually they would find a way to kill even him. Permanently. It didn't hurt, of course, that they tempted him with an entire multiverse filled with powerful foes. He knew they possessed the power to move him from reality to reality, to find and ravage not just entire worlds, but entire universes. To fight the most powerful beings in this reality, and to mount his crown upon a pile of corpses.

"Fight fire with fire? I will join you, on a single condition." Apocalypse looked around the ship, his advanced senses picking up a surprising amount of detail about the ship and it's capabilities. He could sense the future approaching, his time of ascension drawing ever closer. "Return me to the world where you found me. There are several beings there I must defeat. I'm sure there's someone there you need dead. How better to kill a monster than with another, bigger, stronger monster?

Goa'uld Star Empire - Caracas, Venezuela

Since arriving here in Venezuela, the Goa'uld forces had been very busy. Buildings had been appropriated as prefab structures were set up. A firm wormhole connection back to their home base was established, allowing for an impressive military force to pour through, to secure a foothold for their God in this new land to conquer. Thus far there were no signs of humanity, but that daunted no one. They had seen their fair share of abandoned worlds, and if humans were out there, they would find them.

A defensive perimeter had been set up, with staff cannons and other weaponry ready, and with force field generators provided to cover the base should an attack come from the air. These would be effective in deterring aggression, and with the forces on hand it would be more than enough to handle any conflict. At least, as far as the Jaffa were concerned.

At least the time had now arrived, with the base all set up, and they were ready to move on with the next phase of the plan. The interdimensional wormhole activated, space lashing out in a 'ka-whoosh' before it settled into the rippling aperture of an event horizon. Guards stood at attention, ready for whomever would come through.

First came the Kull Warriors, garbed in black, expressionless, yet deadly. And following on their heels, the man of the hour, the one who had made all this possible and the one that the Jaffa prostrated themselves before; Lord Ba'al himself.

He looked around, arms folded in royal robes before he spoke. "Rise." The Jaffa did so, and he went on. "Very good. This is but the first step to our new conquest, and the expansion of our empire. With that said a grin broke out, promising good things to come, at least for him. "Let's get to work then."

Ruiko Saten - Location Unknown

One minute, Ruiko was in the thick of combat, her Aero Hand ability sending objects flying to and fro as she combated powerful bolts of electricity. The next, she was...somewhere else, a place that was definitely not the lab that she had just been in. Yet she knew the cause, had heard the stripper doctor just before she found herself here. She had been saved....but she didn't want to be saved.

"Kihara," she cried aloud, rushing forward and slamming a fist uselessly against the wall, tears budding in her eyes. Damn it, all that hard work. It was just gone in an instant. Damn Miisaka and Shirae.

She had thought...thought she was doing a good thing. She was finally being useful, getting somewhere in Academy City, making her family proud and actually helping her friends when they needed it. But they had to reject her, just because the only way she could have powers was the Level Upper. They didn't understand what it was like, and they'd tried to get her to stop by force. That was why she had joined Kihara, so that everyone could be an Esper, so that things in this City could be fair. And now it had all gone down in flames.

But at last she recovered, wiping away the tears as she looked around. Where had Kihara sent her anyway?

She...didn't recognize this place. For all she knew she could be halfway around the planet or something, thanks to the boosted Teleportation ability. But a quick check confirmed that she still had her MP3 player, for which she could only give a grateful sigh. She would not be defenseless.

Well, there was no point in sticking around here, so she began to walk, gaze inquisitive as she rounded a corner. "Hello, is anyone here," she called aloud. First, figure out where she was. Then, figure out how to get back to Academy City. She would not abandoned Kihara to the dogs.

Cyano Conablum

Cyano switched her nanomites back to psychic shielding. There obviously wasn't a need for them to physically augment her right now. After that, she turned and responded to Misaka.

"First off, no apologies needed. Secondly, I don't think that would work. The footage of how quickly it adapted to the grenades is evidence of that. Now, I would love to talk science and stuff, but I already explained that I think on a full stomach so I'm going to go finish that meal."

Cyano turned back to where she had set her food. The first thing she would notice is that someone had knocked over her milkshake. The second thing she would notice is that the fries were gone.

"... Alright. Whoever took my fries, I'm going to knock their teeth out. Whoever knocked over the shake, they are getting shot."
