Wall Walker

Aside from the very disgusting.. Thing that seemed to be following him, it almost felt like he was in the clear. Hopefully by taking enough detours into buildings he could slow the majority of them down.

"You should really give this whole chase thing up, pal." Ah, fuck. WW let out a sigh and clenched his teeth together. "Your powers are just a discount version of my own, anyway. And if there's one thing I hate, it's a cheap knockoff." He decided to glance behind him, maybe spit in her face when she got up close, but a surprised expression formed on his face as she leaped forward with a burst of speed - and socked him right in the face.

“Jesus christ,” He muttered angrily, clutching his nose. “What do you fuckers even want from me?!” He still hadn’t pulled down the cloth that hung over his nose and mouth, but it was now drenched in blood. Walker glanced around, stepping back away from Wraith. In the time that he'd wasted recovering from the harsh blow, it had given the group of vigilantes a chance to close in on him. "..fuck." Walker muttered. He was trapped.

Ditch had avoided running into the shoddy apartment building entirely, and just headed straight for the street. Luckily for her, it ended up being the smart choice, because she stood directly opposite of Wraith, blocking Walker's escape route.

"We're not trying to hurt you," She said, audio scrambler still on. "Oh, wow, really? I never would have guessed." He growled in response. "We came to warn you, Walker." "Of what? Pollution? Global Warming? I'm fine, thanks." "Of Umbra," Ditch growled.

At the sight of Walker on the ground the wraith stopped, floating about the space as she turned her head, making sure to keep her target in her sights yet did not make a single move to cause harm. The words ringing true, may no blood be spilled. Instead the creature allowed another shriek, the sound long and piercing.
Not a moment later, Raven rounded the corner to the scene. Her breath quiet yet her side rising and falling faster than most. "Thank you my friend, may we meet again." With one more rumbled sound the wraith vanished, Raven tapping her cane on the ground she made her way to the others. Her book opening once more she quietly called the Grim, yet just like the wraith it did not advance.

"You seem to be ill tempered. We simply speak the truth, we wish to talk, nothing more nothing less." A hand running through the wiry fur of the beast at her side she nodded her head. "Forgive me if my companion gave the wrong impression, its just that she is the easiest way for me to find someone from afar."
Her voice even, Raven began to still, she could hear the others not too far behind. It was only a matter of time till they at the vary least try and get another on their side. The air growing colder, Raven tilted her head up, the Grim standing at her back, acting as a shield to the woman.

"How do you fair? I was told you were injured, is that true?" She did not turn around when she heard the heavier steps of Omega. Voice holding a slight edge of curiosity as the Grim looked over to them.
The calls her wraith gave, told her all she needed during the chase, when the creature stopped to look at Omega, it was simply bringing the news to Raven's attention for later use.

“Staying behind him isn’t going to get us anywhere. If we can get ahead of him, we can trap him. Rose, how do those wall gadgets work?” She blinked quickly as she watched Omega pass him and started her sprint after him as well, though unlike many of the others, she did not seem so out of breath - despite her small frame.

"In theory, they should stop him, but it needs to be placed on the wall he's going into - not one he's in." Rose explained, but ended it just a few seconds before finding herself on the street with everyone else staring Wall Walker down. He seemed to have given up already, with her face bleeding from a blow. Rose was somewhat relieved that she didn't have to risk using her technology on him or else risk killing him by mistake. However, she did sigh somewhat, know Graffiti was probably going to whine and complain some more about Melrose having not done anything. What a pain.

As Walker spoke, she stepped forward just an inch, seeming at least more calm than Ditch. "Yes, Umbra. He's been collecting supers like stamps and using them to take over the city. As far as I'm able to tell, it's either you join him, you die, or you lose your powers. You don't need to care about the city, but it'd be in your best interest to avoid the man all together - Ditch probably knows more than any of us though." She understood she wasn't always the best at words, but she was being genuine and it made it hard to not trust her, simply because she gave such a simple, straight-forward truth. At least, she hoped that's what people thought of her.

Graffiti would never admit it, but she was out of her depth, this wall walker character was moving too fast in and between walls to keep track of, and running around the orphanage trying to keep up with omega only to watch him get wall slammed wasn't doing a lot for her morale. Omega ordered her to cut Walker off as he exited the building, but she didn't even know which side he left. She strapped her paintball gun to her back and pulled out two orange cans from her belt.

Ahh fuck this...I'm uselss in this damn building. I'm getting a birds eye view, if he escapes I'll spot him. I think Ecto is up there too. Once I can lock on to him, It'll be a wrap.

Graffiti jumped out of the nearest window and quickly found ecto on the same upward path as they both were soaring above the building looking out for the sneaky criminal. She flew closer to ecto and started 'treading air' next to him, rapidly surverying the ground beneath her.

Hey Ecto, can you see him? I figure people who can phase through walls can also see through them. I just want to get my hands on him. I feel like a bumbling beat cop shambling through the apartments like this.........oh damn I think they found him....theyre talking?

Standing outside the the entrance was Walker who had been trapped by Wraith and Ditch and they seemed to be talking to him. So Graffiti hovered back down to the ground motioning Ecto to join her, she wasnt sure why they were having a conversation with this scumbag criminal so she landed right next to Ditch.

I didn't realise this was the Millenium City Politicians group, I was under the crazy assumption we were here to beat up and apprehend criminals, not fucking warn them of criminal conspiracies!

Graffiti pulled out her paintball gun and had it trained on Wall Walker, finger firmly on the trigger.

You're just getting weirder and weirder Ditch, this mysterious half-information half riddle shit is really running its course. Who gives a shit if Umbra snuffs this ditrball, one less slippery bank robber to worry about. Wraith made a good start by bloodying up his face, why cant I just paste him to the floor and then we can all take turns kicking him unconscious. Thats what criminals deserve.

Not moving her gun an inch, she turned to Wraith.

You cant tell me this isnt a little strange, Ive read about your good work in the city, you aint soft on these bastards, and why should you be?

Shit shit shit! This is getting out of hand!

When Walker came out of the building, Ditch barred his way. Well, as long as you can bar someone's way who can go through walls. Still, he hesitated.

Ditch, Raven Tale and Omega was trying to stop the guy by trying to talk sense into him, but Graffiti really didn't like that idea, and Wraith didn't seem peaceful either. That could really trigger the dude. Whatever the case, Ecto decided to take the middle ground to make sure the incident from two days ago doesn't repeat. Why can't we just get along, dammit.

He took the chance and crashed down to street level, right into Wall Walker, possessing him. A faint, blue-greenish myst surrounded the villain, and for a moment, his eyes lit up. Ecto could feel something was very strange, his body was different than the ones he haunted in the past. He sensed a strange inner glow, an intangible, fizzy feeling you get when your hand falls asleep and it feels like thousands of sharp needles are piercing your skin. He really hoped Walker could not just simply phase out of him and run away.

"Listen mate, we're not the danger, but we CANNOT let you go around like this!"

He also prayed that none of the others get any funny ideas, since anything that they do to Wall Walker happens to Ecto as well.

Omega felt a twinge of disbelief as Wraith punched Wall Walker square in the nose. It was a good hit, too. Blood was everywhere. It seems she’s dropped her little bubblegum persona and let the real Wraith come out. This allowed enough of a distraction for the team to surround him. It really did seem like an ambush, and it was probably going to be harder now to convince him that they were on his side.

As the group gathered, Raven Tale had dismissed her summoned wraith, which was just fine as far as Omega was concerned.

"How do you fair? I was told you were injured, is that true?"

“I’m alright. Just got shoved down. Your creepy bride scared the crap outta me, though. Got right in my face. I thought she was gonna eat me or something.”

Slightly flustered, he looked over at her with his arms folded. His expression changed, though, when he noticed something that he hadn’t before. She had a cast on her left hand. He wasn’t really close enough to see it earlier, but it was definitely a cast. Could it really be her? She seemed so different… His brow furled as he was now thoroughly intrigued, and he decided to tuck that information away for a little later.

He watched as Graffiti threatened Walker after Ditch, Raven, and Rose tried to calmly talk him down. This was getting out of hand. The objective here was to warn him not beat him down. This team thing was clearly unstable and this was only the start. Ditch may have had good intentions here, but, in the end, everyone had their own methods and motivations. If this was how the team operated on a simple mission like this one, how on earth were they going to defeat Umbra? There was almost no point in warning Walker or Shifter about danger if it was just inevitably futile.

Just when it seemed it couldn’t get any crazier, Ecto decided to swan dive right into Walker’s body. Omega just looked on in exasperation. If Walker wasn’t willing to cooperate before, it was doubtful that he would after being pummeled and possessed. Electing not to further stir this pot, Omega stood ready for Walker’s next move.

Team Scarlet

Scarlet let out a pained whimper as TB’s staff made contact with her already tender wound, but looked to be doing her best not to drop him. She stepped back into the house, red eyes filled with pain, but still didn’t let go.

Reaper’s shadow claws wrapped themselves around the giant tigresses’ front paws, as well as Tank jumping up and beginning to pry her jaws open. Unsure of how to deal with two threats at once, she backed off, allowing TB to escape but quickly succumbing to Reaper’s shadow tentacles tugging against her weight.

Scarlet growled and snarled at Tank, attempting some weak jabs and getting in some scrapes with her claws, but not much else. She was clearly hurting, but doing her best not to show it.

Turn Back, meanwhile, had scrambled to his feet and backed away from the massive beast. Something didn’t feel right. She hadn’t attacked him, per se. And the noise she’d made when he had hit her didn’t sound like an angry one, if Animal Planet were to be believed. Looking at her now, he had a sneaking suspicion that she wasn’t really fighting…

“Step back!” He called to Tank as he rushed forward, trying to shove the huge man behind him. He looked at Scarlett, hopefully out of her range and reached out to the side, dropping his staff with a clatter. He avoided looking her directly in the eye, a tactic he’d learned growing up in the slums; and crouched down. Maybe, just maybe if they tried to show her they weren’t trying to hurt her she’d listen… And if not, Turn Back was pretty sure he could take the hit.

During the fall Levi caught himself, but took some minor injuries, particularly to his abdomen, but he chose to ignore it for now as he was only disoriented at best. Who would have known that wood was an insulator and didn’t get along well with electricity? Levi assimilated the information as much as he could, it seems, or at least looked like Scarlet Shifter was injured by the wound on her shoulder. And what looks like Turn Back putting down his weapons to attempt to alleviate the situation since it seemed like Scarlet Shifter wasn’t intrinsically looking for a fight, it reminded Levi of a cornered animal. Following suite he released, Albeit reluctantly, the clutch of his weapons- Kukris and they dropped on the floor with a pang, raising both his hands at elbow level slightly above his head.

Girard while continuing the grapple realized just in how bad of a shape Scarlet was in noticing very little in the way of resistance. The tigress could have easily done more struggling but wasn’t but the big man held slight reservation about letting her go. He had been trying his hardest to not hurt her further in the meantime, just hold her in place really while avoiding the weak spot on her shoulder, but when Turn Back and Levi both threw weapons away he figured it was for the best and he helped to gently set Scarlet back down. Looking at TB he just hoped the smaller man didn’t end up losing something over this or at least getting a pounding in his newer more vulnerable position, and with that the big man backed away to give them space.

Reaper was far more reluctant to drop her shadows from around the great tiger’s paws, especially as she had tensed with each weak swipe the red and white cat did against her bindings towards Tank. Yet as each of the men of her group became submissive the vigilante just sighed. They already cornered an injured animal and aggravated its wound, why not just make it easy to eat their faces now too? With a little huff Reaper’s fingers unclenched and she dropped her arms to her side, the claws disappearing similarly from around Scarlet’s paws.

After Turn Back had shoved the large vigilante away, the large tigress seemed to stay fairly docile. Slowly standing back up, she glanced around, at TB’s dropped staff, and now Levi’s abandoned Kukris. And slowly, the fur and teeth and claws receded, leaving the red-haired girl in it’s wake, her entire left side drenched in her own blood. She knelt on the floor, a hand over her wound, body shaking.

Turn Back rushed towards the rogue, dropping to his knees and skidding beside her. He reached out to steady the red-haired girl and whispered to her. “I’m sorry, Scarlett. I panicked, I thought you were going to hurt us. I didn’t realize you were just trying to get away.”

Scarlet took in a few shaky breaths, flinching as Turn Back moved to steady her, tensing at his touch but ultimately allowing him to attempt to bandage the wound. She didn’t move to look at him as he apologized. “My powers… nghf.. Activate when I’m angry,” She wheezed, eyelids drooping but snapping open once more. She was clearly struggling to stay awake.

The lithe vigilante pulled off his hoodie, leaving himself in a black shirt underneath; lamenting at the torn hood before ripping it down the front and giving it to Scarlett, trying to make a makeshift bandage for her wound.

Levi had the idea to cauterize the wound with his powers, looking- rather, glaring at Scarlet and her semi-dressed wound, ”The bleeding looks bad, and from personal experience, it’ll get worse and most likely cause an infection.” he stated to her, lifting his left hand to let a short pulse of dull electricity upwards ”I can cauterize the wound, it’ll be extremely painful, but will close the wound and stop infection. Basically I have to burn your skin with my powers.” Levi’s confidence in himself being able to properly do this process hinted at his frequent use of it himself, and possible reason why he made it this far.

The shapeshifter slowly glanced up at Levi. “..Sure.. shoot lightning at my body.. Why don’t you..” She hissed, voice filled to the brim with pain.

“Don’t use a dirty hoodie for that, Turn Back. And don’t offer a painful alternative yet, Lightning Bug,” Reaper finally rumbled, moving around Scarlet in a large circle so as not to approach her from the back. “Do you guys really not carry proper supplies around?” The last part was mostly under her breath even as her hands went under the large hoodie she wore, seeking out something specific amongst the swimming folds. Finally she withdrew a small first aid kit that was pressed against her stomach, already unzipping the bright red cloth and retrieving a moist antiseptic wipe to open.

“Promise not to maul my face off? I’m rather fond of it,” The quip was rather half hearted as Reaper came within striking distance finally, kneeling as well and trying to shoo Turn Back’s hands away so she could start cleaning and dressing the wound.

Girard turned his attention to the rest of the team attempting to fix up Shifter while really having nothing to contribute. It wasn’t that he didn’t know first aid but it would be a stretch to say it was practiced given how hard he was to injure in the first place. What did occur to him was that they should get moving as soon as possible what with all of the noise that just got made if Umbra’’s men were on the way they would have a good idea something was up, plus the mold and trash made for a less than clean place to treat a wound. Of course the little clean up wasn’t going to be enough for something like that and most doctors either wanted nothing to do with supers or the supe in question would get found out soon than later.

“Once you get that done we gotta get moving, I’ll do the carrying if necessary, but all that commotion is gonna bring company but quick.” Tank said from his own personal experience looking a little fidgety.

Alice looks over the team Umbra has assigned her. "This should be easier than taking candy from a baby", she thinks. There were four people standing before her. A girl, thin and tall, named Rebel. Two men: both fit and battle ready, named Lazer and Flare; though Alice wasn't sure who was who. Behind them was a woman with white flowing hair, whose name was unknown but Alice was ready with a nickname. "listen up Kiddies, we are gonna pop in and pay these Supers a visit. Our mission is clear, take Scarlet Shifter and get the shit back before i gotta open up shop again." Alice scanned the group. "You two men will act as bait, you get to do your stuff and take out as many of the little shits as possible. Rebel and i are gonna grab Shifter and get the hell outta dodge. Understood?" The group before her nods, and Alice turns her attention to the white haired woman, chuckling darkly. "Alright then, beam us up, Scotty."

The group is enveloped in a white light, and then suddenly the alley they were in is now a street facing a run down grey house. "Shit, of course we get dropped in the dumps. Why cant my missions ever be on a beach in Hawaii or something. Alright, lets go play!" Alice grins and watches as Lazer and Flare barrel towards the front door. She and Rebel follow behind, at a safe distance. "Here Kitty Kitty! Come out and get some...catnip! Alice lets loose a wave of pheromones meant to make everyone lethargic. Those who were in decent health would not be affected as much, becoming only slightly slowed. But Shifter would feel the brunt of the attack, as she was already injured and more easily persuaded into sleep. Alice and Rebel scan the scene as they enter, hoping to find Shifter and get the heck out quickly. "Where are you, Kitten? Its past your bed time!"

Upon entering the front door, Alice and Co are greeted with a sight she can only describe as elating. The team had stepped into a living room full of the very Supers they were looking to find, and Scarlet Shifter was with them. "Oh sweet God its like Christmas! Everyone here at once, with a gift for me even!" Alice dons a wide smile, "I get to skin some super puppies!"

"Please Graffiti, calm down. No need to use rage, we came here to converse, nothing more." Honestly Raven was not really pleased with how the woman snapped at Wall Walker, the man had done nothing wrong, well to them at least. Karma will get him one day for his stealing, but they did not come here to punish him. "Collect your thoughts."
Bowing her head a bit, Raven kept a hand on her Grim. The beast did not growl, his fur like wire under her fingers lie flat. What was she to do?
A small laugh escaping her from Omega's comment, Raven sighed. "She would give no harm unless I wish it so. She was simply looking to see if you fared well, forgive the fight, she dose not mean it." Yet as she listened to the voice behind her, Raven froze, her hand caught in her Grim's fur.
The voice...
No, it couldn't be, they were together just days ago. The faint smell of old sheet music, kind words offering help. She could feel her eyes widen at the thought, thats what they do, Vigilantes offer help. And that voice rang clear as bells, she never forgot a voice and she was not supposed to start.
It was Manny!
Shaking her head, Raven took a deep breath. One task at a time, put the information back for later. Instead she focused on Wall Walker, trying to listen to his breathing, the rustle of his cloths and edge in his voice. The air was crisp, cooling now, the stillness being filled with tense uneasiness from her team mates.
How were they to work together with such clashing ideals? It was like riding into the arena with a companion you met a moment ago. No drive, no connection, no cooperation because they simply did not know each other. This was not going to work, not unless they had some common ground.
As if to answer her question, Ecto decided to attack the male that held no threat. Biting her lip Raven found she had no words. Instead she knelt down, her book still in hand. "we are not here to fight." Her voice was calming, even, one that did not hold lies, one that had not caused another true harm.

Was it really too much to ask that one time, one time Reaper put on this mask that it would be easy? Of course it was.

No sooner than one situation was defused that another one started. It began with voices outside, and then a feeling that slowed down her movements wrapping the wound of the woman that was suddenly slumping and leaning against her. Confusion wracked Reaper’s mind for a moment, but was quickly dispelled by a voice outside.

“Where are you, Kitten? Its past your bed time!” That would explain a lot. Maybe not why Reaper was suddenly feeling like a cat nap sounded like a good idea, but it was a pretty good assumption to assume it was these jokers if Scarlett’s weight on her was any indication. Underneath the mask the vigilante’s teeth grit as their new ‘guests’ entered the premises, her black eyes narrowing dangerously. It wasn’t hard to guess who these people were, even if she couldn’t see the distinctive mark right away.

They were cornered, with the person they were after passed out – from blood loss or worse. Unnoticeable with her black eyes Reaper’s gaze shifted around at her teammates as her mind raced. Would three of them be enough? Fighting with Scarlett there just promised a distraction, especially if these minions went after her during the battle. All of this passed rapidly through Reaper’s mind before she settled on a decision, and could only hope the others followed through.

Reaper’s fingers twitched back, and a weight in her back pocket lessened as the object moved through the shadows to appear in her hand. Thumbing the metal clip off caused it to drop to the floor with a rattle, and in that instant Reaper threw her hand out.

“BRIBERY!” Hundreds of dollars were flung into the faces of their enemies, the green bills filling their vision right in front of them from the money clip. It was a gamble depending on how desperate these thugs were, but if they joined Umbra of their own volition there’d hopefully be some human greed. Using the moment to surge up almost saw Reaper stumble with Scarlet’s weight, but with no time to lose she was already shoving the unconscious redhead to her largest companion. “Tank! Make like this house is a stage and GO!” As soon as he took her the shadows under the hoodie’s sleeves that Reaper wore surged forward and covered her gloves, solidifying into sharp claws reminiscent of the tiger’s they were just fighting. She turned her attention back to Umbra’s men, under the mask almost baring her teeth as she went to a fighting stance.

Now, if everything went to plan the three of them left would either take them out or escape. Simple, right?

Another piece of debris fell behind them from the crumbling second floor. Yup. Simple.

Interacting with: Team Scarlet & Anti-Team Scarlet.

Despite Scarlet's refusal of the cauterization, Levi had the mindset of 'suit yourself', and dismissed it. Silently agreeing to Tank carrying her, being the best of the options despite their overall firepower going down. Of course, the situation turned from bad to worse, a sudden wave of torpor permeated across the room. Levi was slightly injured so this did somewhat affect him but not by much. Then a woman's voiced rattled against the old building, and with her came a few people, presumably supers.

“Where are you, Kitten? Its past your bed time!” the unknown woman called out, Umbra's men looking for Scarlet Shifter, naturally. Things were a little bit too straightforward, so this was to be expected. Fortunately he already grabbed his dropped weapons whilst talking to Scarlet Shifter about the offer she shouldn't have refused. Levi counted four in his sights, two men and two women. The woman who called out had a peculiar gaze, and he glanced at the other three. All of them looked experienced, and with them expending energy earlier this was going to be difficult, however they did outnumber them.

"Oh sweet God its like Christmas! Everyone here at once, with a gift for me even!"
"I get to skin some super puppies!"

She continued her presumptuous speech. Levi's gaze grew darker under the shadows as he gripped his kukris once again. It was through Reaper's farcical act of throwing money on their face that Levi got the drop on one of them more thin and lanky one. He channeled lightning on his legs, and in a haze of dull yellow disappeared from his position leaving a dent on the wooden floor and appeared directly behind 'Flare'. Attempting to do a diagonal slash with his kukris crackling with the same dull lightning.

After the quick diagonal slash he landed on his feet and charged the weapons with twice the firepower than earlier, and threw both of them towards Flare, aiming for his shoulder-blades. He looked onwards at his weapons cut through the still air, emanating and crackling furiously with the dull, amber-yellow electricity.

Girard had half a mind to say I told you so but now was not the time or place for it. If he had been ready to move before they heard the arrivals his mind soon equally switched to a more defensive stand point. This was only reinforced by one of the new arrival's words which preceded a small energy hit that while it didn't worry the big guy much it also didn't feel normal. However, the main concern was now the two men and women coming in the entrance blocking the most obvious escape route for a normal person but he doubted anyone here was normal. All things considered having nullified the threat from Scarlet in the way that happened was probably for the worst because now she was particularly vulnerable and the small team was the first and last line of defense. It was not an ideal situation in the slightest but they would have to make do so all was left was to have a look at the opposition.

The big man looked at both of the men who were closer, one looked kinda thin not the direct fighter type where as the other was a bruiser by normal standards, he thought the confidence they showed was a bit concerning but it could just as easily get them taken out like many before them. His gaze moved back farther to the women one who made it kind of apparent she was the ringleader of sorts and was talking quite the big game but he quickly lost interest once he saw her companion. For Tank time slowed down as he locked eyes from under his helmet with the shorter, athletic woman which if the other three hadn't worried him she did. It was for a damn good reason because that was Rebel who had been one of the most dangerous gang leaders he had tackled. Most would underestimate her based on looks, no way someone like that could pose that much of a threat to a super, but that would end quickly with an iron hard punch from her when she shifted her skin to the metal. This was the reason for one of the longest fights he had taken part in as like him Rebel could both take and dish out a beating which left them in a war of attrition which probably lasted longer than either expected and that neither would forget easily.

Just falling further aren't you honey. Girard thought very sure that if they were going to fight he was going to have to match up with the woman if only to put a large barrier between her and Scarlet.

It was a rare thing to see the big man physically tense up over something but now was a very appropriate time and he was ready to take the fight to them before a wall of fluttering green showed up in front of them. He heard Reaper behind him struggle for a second before thrusting a now unconscious Scarlet into his arms which surprised him for all of a second before realizing that the small hit he had taken must've been much worse to the injured shifter. Also a flash of light zipping through the green gave him an idea of where Sparky stood on the matter.

“Tank! Make like this house is a stage and GO!”

The big man didn't like the idea of leaving the other three behind but it didn't take a genius to realize none of them were strong enough to carry a now dead weighted Scarlet with any sort of speed besides him. Normally he wouldn't back out of a fight but circumstance was against him currently, there was no choice so he would have to leave them for now though he gave TB a quick energy boost before he made his move. If there was one thing Tank could do it was make an emergency exit on the fly which he did bolting for the nearest wall keeping Scarlet covered as he blasted straight through to the outside. Using his head-start Girard had no intention of slowing down picking an alley system and booking it building up some impressive speed as all of the weight turned it into momentum. It wouldn't be impossible to catch him, hell following the thuds if they were in earshot would be enough to give some information but he knew enough shortcuts and hideaways that if they did lose him they would lose Scarlet as well which is what he was counting on.

Gotta hope they can take on Umbra's people or at least get away. The big guy thought more worried about the rest of them than himself at the moment.

Wraith

Got you. Wraith grinned like a shark as her fist made contact with Walker's face. He seemed surprised at her attack. Not so nice when you were the one taken off-guard. She lunged forward, preparing a blow that would just about split the guy's head in two, when she noticed Ditch at the end of the alleyway. Dammit! she couldn't stop the blow, but she changed the angle of her swing enough that it flew just past his head. The rest of the group seemed to be catching up as well. She'd be surprised if a few of them hadn't seen her hit Walker, which wasn't great.

"We're not trying to hurt you." Ditch said to Walker. Wraith glared at her furiously. "Speak for yourself." she muttered, making sure that it was just loud enough for Walker to hear it. Why are we trying to protect a damn criminal? Wraith was not happy. Ditch's vague answers weren't helping her mood either. Luckily, she didn't seem to be the only one that felt this way, as Graffiti landed next to Ditch and voiced the same complaints that Wraith was thinking of. Imagine that! Someone here has sense after all.

Wraith was surprised, however, when Graffiti addressed her directly. "You cant tell me this isn't a little strange, I've read about your good work in the city, you ain't soft on these bastards, and why should you be?" before Wraith could answer, though, several things seemed to happen at once. Ecto swooped down and seemed to possess Walker, which startled her slightly, though she wasn't opposed to frightening the guy. She hoped that Ecto would have the sense to get out when he had to, though. She didn't want to be forced into harming an innocent person.

Raven also cut her off, trying to talk down Graffiti from her position. Sadly for her, and for Walker, she had chosen the wrong one to focus on. Wraith looked Walker directly in the eyes as she spoke, her own eyes looking as though she were a lion about to pounce on an antelope. "I'm with you on this one, Graffiti. I don't see why we're bothering to warn this scumbag in the first place. I also don't see why I should listen to the orders of someone who hides behind a screen instead of getting their hands dirty. Luckily, I have the perfect way to get an explanation from our fearless leader." as she was speaking, her grin grew wider, and she lunged forward in the blink of an eye, reducing the density of her hand and plunging it into Walker's ribcage.

"Now, before any of you flip at me, I'm gonna say that what I'm doing right now will do him no harm whatsoever. I mean, if I hurt him, who know what would happen to our ghostly friend? I don't want any unnecessary accidents happening anyway. Not to anyone other than this criminal." she looked at Ditch. She couldn't find this that surprising, really. After all, Wraith had only agreed to this business for the opportunity to track down more enemies of justice. She wasn't going to help them stay alive.

"The thing is, Ditch, I don't operate the way you want me to. And keeping my hand insubstantial like this is an effort. As soon as I stop, well, that's when accidents become necessary, I'm afraid." she really did hope that Ecto got out before that happened. She didn't really know the guy, but he seemed to have good intentions. Still, Wraith would do what had to be done. It was the kind of justice that people like Walker deserved.

"So, boss, clock's ticking. You'd better give me a very good reason to keep this guy alive."

Wall Walker

Though the team was doing their best to persuade Walker into trusting them, with each word spoken he looked like he was becoming increasingly more skittish. “So you chased me down just to tell me about the big bad?” He hissed. “You idiots could’ve botched my entire operation.. How stupid do you think I am? Do you think I’m going to run to Umbra with open arms or something?” Walker growled, fists balling at his sides.

Graffiti’s voice was filled with anger, and Ditch gazed at her warily. “I said from the very beginning we were only coming to warn him,” She said quietly, not taking her gaze off of the unstable vigilante.. When she pulled out her gun.

Walker immediately tensed, brown eyes flickering warily around the circle of vigilantes boxing him in, searching for an escape route. “Put the gun down, Graffiti. I’ve told you no riddles.. Killing him isn’t worth it.” It was hard to tell what she was thinking because of the audio scrambler, but her wording was rushed.

Walker was stopped in his tracks from running as the ghost-like super possessed him, his eyes glowing momentarily and a faint blue-green aura enveloping him. Ditch’s head continued to snap between Walker and Graffiti, but that was until Wraith began to speak.

Ditch visibly jumped when Wraith plunged her hand into Walker’s chest. She moved slowly throughout the vigilante’s monologue, stepping between Graffiti’s pointed gun and Wraith, one palm outstretched in front of Graffiti’s line of fire, and the other towards Wraith.

“Do you really think killing him will help anything?” She said. “Do you really think murdering criminals brings justice? Even ones who haven’t killed? I thought you were better than this. He robbed a few damn banks. And you feel the need to murder? Well then, I’ve gotta say.. I don’t think the title vigilante quite suits you.” Her voice became louder and louder as she spoke, and by the end she was shouting. In the blink of an eye, she’d whipped around to Graffiti and kicked the gun out of her hands, fast and strong.

Taking the distraction, Walker became intangible, successfully phasing away from Wraith’s hand and Ecto’s possession. The moment Walker had freed himself, he bashed Wraith in the face. His punches were strong, fast, expertly executed - he was clearly well trained.

Before he could get another one in, Ditch rammed into him, pushing him into the brick wall off to the side. A mistake on her part. Because he grabbed her arm and pulled her through it, and they disappeared into the wall together.

Rose's eyes widened as she felt herself step forward when she saw Wraith put her hand through Walker's chest. Though Graffiti's outburst was that of a self-righteous bully, this was quickly turning for the worse. She couldn't believe it. Essentially they had teamed up with two murderers. She narrowed her eyes in obvious disapproval and scowled - they were calling Walker a criminal when what they were suggesting was far more criminal than a bank robber. Hypocrites.

On some note, she felt relieved when Walker was able to free himself from Wraith. Though he gave her quite a hard punch and threatened to beat the bloody pulp out of her, at least no one was dead. For that, Melrose was grateful. Thankfully Ditch was faster than Rose was herself and rammed into him before anyone else could get more hurt - before disappearing that was. Rose wasted no time as she sprinted to the doors and slammed her shoulder into them, forcing them wide open. Taking only a peek inside, she felt relief wash over her and quickly unlatched her electrodes. 'Finally.. we can corner him, but.. we might have to fight those two..' She didn't like that thought, but stuck to keeping Walker in check for now.

Then a thought occurred to her. They had only wanted to warn him. He's been warned now and he already said he was trying to avoid Umbra. Wasn't that enough then? They didn't need to capture him or trap him anymore. They needed to get him away from those murderers! She spun around quickly and firmly placed the electrode on the wall with the door - that would stop Wraith from phasing through or ANY of them from crashing through. The voltage was enough to knock Tank off his feet. She darted to Ditch, grabbing her and pulling her off of Walker as best as she could, yelling, "let him go! We warned him, it's done! We need to help him get away from the murderers!" She could only hope that her gambit would pay off. She didn't want anyone dying today.

Omega tensed further when Wraith thrust her hand into Walker’s ribcage. He had seen her take people out that way a time or two while doing his rounds, and he was really getting tired of how much she was screwing things up. Her complete disregard for life at such a young age was extremely disturbing. Then...

Oh shit!

Everything happened at once. Omega’s eyes darted to Ditch kicking Graffiti’s gun and quickly shifted back to Walker as he freed himself and took a swing back at Wraith. He was in a boxing stance and ready to take another swing and Omega rushed forward to stop it. Ditch had beat him to the punch, however, and tackled Walker into another wall. As Walker phased through, taking Ditch along, Omega reached for dead air as he tried to grab for his teammate. He landed with his palms on the wall and turned quickly to face the rest of the group.

“Dammit, guys! What the hell were you thinking!”

Rose burst through the doors closest to her and Omega sprinted for the same door intending to follow her. He skidded almost to a halt and leapt through the open door, quickly scanning for movement in the direction that Walker had entered. Walker and Ditch had not gotten very far - probably just tumbled into the room - and it appeared like Rose was struggling to separate Walker from Ditch.

"let him go! We warned him, it's done! We need to help him get away from the murderers!"

Omega couldn’t help but agree. Wraith and Graffiti had gone fucking postal and, at this point, things were way out of hand. He didn’t really think that Walker should just leave, though, because the mission wasn’t simply to warn him of Umbra; he already knew of the threat. The mission was to keep him from Umbra. Ditch had spent a lot of time tracking this guy down and Omega wasn’t about to release him back into the wild. But first order of business was to get Ditch free.

“Brace yourselves, guys!”

As Omega ran up to the group, he fired a more concentrated blast directly at Walker, attempting to knock him back away from his teammates.

It was chaos, a simple moment, Raven had only been speaking to Walker for a moment when Wraith went crazy. "Look out!" Yet it was too late, Wraith went after the male, shattering their chance at having a conversation. As far as he was concerned, they were trying to kill him. She could hear Omega readying for a attack, only for Ditch to leap to action instead.

It was like a gang fight, chaos, sheer chaos, and her senses were driven overtime. What had Wraith been thinking? The girl was unnerving, shes the kind of thing that when killed, would be one to turn into a beast. Maybe a nightmeer, or withward? She honestly did not know, but that woman would not be having a happy end.
"let him go! We warned him, it's done! We need to help him get away from the murderers!" No kidding, Raven was already on it, it was going to suck, but what else was there to do?
"Estimated time of death, October 28th, 2011. May no blood be spilled." Once again the wraith shown her face. Least Raven had a moment to breath, but she might be in some rough shape if she was going to keep both her and the Grim.

Following after the creature, Raven began to collect information on her surroundings. Pillars, empty halls, high ceilings. It was the ideal place, not much to hide behind. The room echoed as well, easy to find someone moving. A point proven when she heard Omega and Rose. The Grim running ahead she followed close behind. Something happened, she heard a force of some kind. The air was heavy, as though someone had put weights in it.
What did her team mates do?
"He's no use in the afterlife. Any ideas to turn Wraith off his path?" They needed to deal with her first, talk to Walker away from the mad woman. "I can ask my summons to turn on her, but I'll have to stay close, it would buy time at most." Raven had no problems staying behind and taking a few hits from Wraith if it meant getting Walker away. But could she really trust them to get the guy out?

"We should split, some of us go after Ditch, the others slow down Wraith to keep her from doing something more drastic than she already did. I heard that hit, she was barley holding back, fairly sure the only thing that kept him alive was the fact Ecto had possessed him." Ecto may have acted without thinking, but that move may have saved Walker's life. What would Wraith have done if the guy was not under the protection of a team-mate?

The sound of clicking claws echoed through the halls captured her attention. Her Grim began to move again, the beast going further and further down the hall. "He's on their trail, someone should go after him."

It seemed as if Graffiti wasnt alone in her thinking, luckily Wraith took her side in not being soft on a dangerous criminal. And literally took matters into her own intangible hand as she put it in walkers chest, but this was somewhat troubling, because Ecto had possesed this man's body. Graffiti didn't move her gun away from Walker but her words to Wraith were very serious.

I like your style Wraith, and I'm taking your side in this scenario, but if you do anything to hurt Ecto, even by accident, It'll be the last thing you do for a very long time.......as long as we are clear.

Before the conversation could continue Ditch was ordering Graffiti and Wraith to stand down, but this wasn't going to fly. So Ditch took the initiative and kicked Graffiti's paintball gun out of her hands, which wound up at her side due to her shoulder strap but Graffiti was still shocked at how fast the small blonde girl moved, no idea of her powers but those reflexes seemed almost superhuman.

you bitc.....

And before she had time to react, Ditch had already put walker through the wall after a breif struggle between him and Wraith. Then Ditch pushed Walker in the wall with Ecto still inside him....

NOOOO, you fucking idiots, Ecto is still possessing him! What the hell are you thinking!? so set on 'saving' him you risk the life of one of us? How dare you call yourself a vigilante! Corrupt faceless bitch!

Graffiti was now shouting at a brick wall as Ditch and Walker/Ecto had already gone through it, with the background noise of Omega and Black Rose calling her and wraith murderers. Graffiti was now in a rage.

I'm no goddamn murderer...I just wanted to break his bones, make him suffer for what he did, don't be dramatic. But Ditch, your fearless leader, has endangered Ecto and you stand against me? Omega I'm dissapointed in you, you're not a blind follower, don't tell me you can't see all the holes in this Ditch-lead approach. We didn't join up to 'warn' super-villians of impending danger, you aint no fucking message boy. I have no direct quarrel with you, but stay out of my goddamn way.

She then darted past him toward the front doors where Black Rose had followed Ditch and Walker into the building, there was still no sign of Ecto, all she saw was Black Rose making another case to be soft on Wall Walker and 'to let him go'. This was all Graffiti needed to hear to confirm her original prejudices.

She turned towards Black Rose, with the air pressure whipping around her like a tiny windstorm, she didn't even re-aim her paint ball gun, her fists were clenched hard at her side. Her voice became low and brooding, distorted by the air flux in her personal space.
I'm not suprised at all, you're just a fake, following Ditch in whatever she tells you to do, and then the only time you challenge her is to protect a criminal, well thats fine with me, I know where you stand............now lets see if you can copy super speed.

Using the combined power of her Airburst to launch her body and along a perfect slipstream, Graffiti darted towards Black Rose like a blur, faster than even an olympic level human athlete to react to. And threw a heavy haymaker punch straight at the young lady's jaw sometime after she planted the gadget on the wall to keep anyone else out of it.

We're in a fight now, Wraith, keep Raven Tale and Omega off my back if they try and get involved, this is between me and the 'Pretender' Black Rose.

Turn Back

Turn Back sighed as things seemed to be settling down, grabbing his staff back up as he stood. He was a little upset that he'd ripped open his hoodie for no reason as Reaper apparently had a first aid kit for some reason. He sighed and shrugged the ruined garment back on, no sense in the fabric going to waste. It was then that he heard the commotion coming their way and felt his brain slow down a bit, as if he were fatigued.

Turn Back gripped his staff tighter as the group of four minions came into view. Reaper provided a distraction, which worked sufficiently well for distracting himself as well, as he grabbed a couple bills out of the air. Levi sprang into action and Turn Back prepared to do the same before he saw Tank's fist aiming for him out of the corner of his eye. He took the hit with a purple flash, yelling his thanks to the large man before stepping forward and digging in his pockets. He pulled out half a dozen small metal nuts, the type you fasten screws with, and smiled. Each of them suddenly began glowing with purple energy, containing a portion of the power Tank had lent him. Turn Back saved some of that before for himself as well, but threw the six bolts ahead of him, aiming at the cluster of villains.

Scarlet Shifter

Money was flung at Umbra’s small army, though none seemed too keen on collecting it. If anything, they looked confused momentarily, but it didn’t stop any of them for long.

“Hey!” One of them shouted, a male voice, as Scarlet was shoved into Tank’s arms, but he ran off quick - bursting into a wall causing the house to moan it’s protests. A grin rose on Rebel’s face as iron slowly coated her body. “Would you look at that.. My old pal.” She hissed, running straight out after Tank. Her heavy steps made dents in the concrete ground which proved to boost her step, making her quite fast. She slid in front of Tank to stop him in his tracks, the sidewalk ripping up in her wake. “Where ya going, buddy? That’s my prize you’re running off with.”

Flare was caught slightly off guard by Levi’s incredibly fast attacks (maybe a little bit by the money.. He was tempted, alright?) and let out a sharp cry as Levi’s kurikis slashed at the super’s back. Though he stumbled momentarily, there was no way he was being defeated that fast, and he quickly recovered, turning to face Levi as he saw the kurikis being thrown his way, and expertly jumped out of the way. Though not as strong as his companion, the super seemed to be able to make up for it in speed, just like Levi. He took a deep breath and let out a roar, fire exploding from his mouth and being sprayed in the direction of both Levi and TB - the bolts that had been thrown rendered useless in the incredibly strong fire that Flare was creating.

The buff, blonde male had stepped up to Zoey, not at all intimidated by her sharp shadow claws. His eyes turned a bright red as a beam emitted from them, straight in the direction of Zoey. There was no doubt these had to be lethal.

Wall Walker

OOC Note: Small post just to explain what Manny’s attack did.

Ditch and Walker wrestled on the ground, the both of them trying to assert their dominance, but clearly Walker was much much bigger then Ditch, no matter how well trained she was.
They were tangled up, each one attempting to hit the other, but it looked almost like a toddler squabble at this point.

"let him go! We warned him, it's done! We need to help him get away from the murderers!"

Rose was tugging on Ditch, but when she turned to look at her teammate, Walker took the chance to land a heavy punch to the woman’s gut. Ditch crumpled in front of Walker, letting out a pained gasp. The robber looked up to see Manny preparing an attack - and used Ditch as a shield. That didn’t work too well in either of their favors though, because the both of them were pushed back, though Ditch took the majority of the damage. Walker, majorly unharmed, shoved the vigilante off of him and ran once more in the opposite direction of the wall he'd come from.
