I'd think the GM would know if a character idea makes sense their setting or not. Kind of weird for someone to tell them they're wrong in that regard.

This might be comedic, but it's not an absurdist comedy where you could justify sending a non-magical feral human who goes into violent rages into a magical high school.

The character's not acceptable, at all.

I mean, a 22 year old person is probably more likely to be studied at a university rather than a high school.

I was expecting you to say that.
Being 22 doesn't matter. Kodor has no formal education and speaks only a little English. Or I guess technically Japanese, but we write it as English, because that's our common language.

Secondly, the magical schools that exist seem to be rather secretive. This means that one building is going to house a larger portion of the magical society, so this school could actually encompass high school, but also middle school and even university ages.
But what's more important than Kodor's education is Kodor's use FOR education. As I said previously, psychologists and sociologists would have a field day with someone like him. So while he's learning things like reading, 'riting, and 'rithmitic, he's also learning to integrate with society and in the future he'll be useful as a guide in his homeland, a dangerous wasteland filled with rare and dangerous things.

One might say his existence at the school is a little odd, but the school teaches wizards and demons. If half your student body is pyromancers, Kodor's almost normal for you.

But I've made several justifications as to how it could work. You should tell me why those do not work.

... Because it's sending a violent caveman into a highschool. A magical highschool. he has no magic.

If anything he'd end up somewhere where he can be safely studied and educated, like some kind of university institute or something. The RP's not absurd enough to justify this and it clashes pretty harshly.

That's my final word and I'm not budging on this.

Moving on now.

If half the school is witches and wizards, a berzerker prone to fits of rage would still be unusual. It would be like if in Hogwarts they had Grawp taking lessons with the students. Yeah Grawp might fit in with the overall world, but he doesn't fit in at Hogwarts. You can claim that Kodor fits the lore (and really what lore is there other than 'magical school like a Zero no Tsukaima or something) but the setting is a different story.

If someone like Kodor was discovered today people wouldn't send him to high school. They wouldn't send him to college either. Because they could accomplish everything you mention in a lab.

First of all, he's not a caveman, he's a barbarian. They even have basic metalworking. He doesn't speak English/Japanese very well because it's not his native language.

And most of the student body has really dangerous magic anyways. Your own GMPC only has magic with, like, only military applications. One of the students was even originally going to be a lich, so that says a lot about school safety.
Plus, isolated study wouldn't be as good for societal reintegration.

Now you're forgetting the most important question of all: would doing it in a lab be fun?

I mean...I assume it would be for the scientists. Probably not for the subject but then...what subjects ever have fun in labs. Maybe the mice if they get cheese.

Well yeah, but look at it this way. Say you discovered a feral child, and you wanted to make them a functional member of society. Would you lock them away and only see men in white lab coats? Or would you want them to meet more people and get a variety of experiences and conversations?

Yep. It’s trap character time~ Might have had too much fun with him xP

Name: Aki Miyesaki
Gender: Male
Race: Magical boy Wizard
Age:
Appearance: Adorable with short somewhat light pink hair and blue eyes. He stands at 5’1 and is extremely light. Aki has naturally light pink lips and long and dark eyelashes that make people think he’s wearing mascara at times.
He has a weak and seemingly fragile body but don’t let that fool you. He has a lot of strength. I mean, how do you think he got away from scary boys that approached him thinking he was a girl?

Personality: A sweetheart. He loves to be sweet to everyone and can’t stand bullies. Aki is someone that tries to be manly but ultimately just straight up fails. Often saying sweet things to people and having many people, especially guys, think he’s a girl. He was once called a flirt by one guy that thought “she” actually wanted to go out with him and they confessed to him. Only to be surprised and left wondering about their sexuality when they left. Aki is stubborn about a lot of things and doesn’t like to hear the words “I can’t do it.” And “No.” without a legit reason. He’s not exactly a crybaby but he does pout sometimes, adorably so with perhaps some tears building up. He doesn’t know it but this makes him have his way with a lot of people. But he’s not the type to deceive people and sadly is quite easy to take advantage of.

Abilities: If he has his broomstick, he is able to go around flying. The broomstick is bound to him and will spout nasty words and occasionally drop anyone that touches it without permission.
Barrier- He can automatically create a barrier around him if he wants to. Fairly strong and takes quite the amount of hits to take down.
Your average magical boy powers. You know, the magic stick and all. Not that he likes it when he transforms. When he does, he has superhuman strength and he can jump very high.

History: Born into a home with a sweet father and a mother that disappeared when he was 8, Aki doesn’t know much about woman. Except for the fact that they scare him. His father spoiled him rotten and got him dolls, cute clothes, and toys. Whatever he wanted was handed to him but he never did become some brat. His father is a man that works as a successful businessman and is quite rich. He loves his son very much and not surprisingly, he expected a girl. But the doctor messed up and all of him and his wife’s newly painted pink wall, girly baby clothes, adorable baby toys were to be changed to more boyish things.

Not.

He didn’t care and decided to simply treat his Aki more as a girl rather than a boy. With that, came a very protective nature. Well, anyways. Aki went to school normally but once middle school came, everything started crashing down. He began to get bullied by a group of girls that didn’t like his cute face. They were mean and cruel people that had their eyes on making Aki feel bad about himself. However, he would go hide and soon, his father figured out and got him a homeschool teacher automatically. The next day actually. As well as going up to the school and… Cursing out the girls. Just kidding, he went to the girl's parents and cursed them out.

Aki, despite this, doesn’t hate girls. In fact, he admires strong women very much. Of course, strong men as well. He doesn’t like hatred and instead decided to go on living positively with the mindset that the bullies didn’t mean it and he still had a chance to become a tough guy.

Now, he has decided that he should get rid of his fears which are mostly his father's fears and go back to school. So, he convinced his father to allow him to go to Ishikawa Academy and hopefully learn new things, make friends, and become a better wizard!

Have you ever seen L'Enfant sauvage? Because it's literally about a feral child being unable to learn anything by meeting people/being put in academic institutions up until a doctor takes him into his home and teaches him.

This is also based on a true story so clearly the way to go isn't to put the feral person in a school where he won't understand a thing OR to put him in a lab, but to pawn him off on some unfortunate old doctor and have him sort it out.

Also, sorry, Vita, I'll stop now

I'm planning on starting the RP in the coming week, at some point. I'd like to get some more bios I know for sure are coming up, but I won't be closing the signups off at any point unless we reach critical player mass.
