<Snipped quote>
I like these points that you made, and I'll admit that I didn't have a lot of time to think every detail through due to a tight time schedule. The assassin getting away is a good touch. I initially decided against that otherwise it would seem like a typical revenge arc against a singular individual. Instead, despite justice having actually been made in the assassin's capture and execution (which I'd say very likely happened after a loud struggle catching unwanted attention, then making a hasty failed escape), Pharasius directs his anger at the entire Dominion, which is many times more insurmountable and would be interesting to see someone attempt at reviving the Brotherhood for it to only be used as a weapon against it. Unless, we could paint the assassin as a faceless tool of the Dominion. Then the points you made in nobody being untouchable, assassination, and justice could be overlayed on that as well. That actually sounds very good.
For some reason inheritance did not come to mind when I had made the sheet. For convenience sake, we could say that all belongings were left in the Imperial City, and Pharasius witnessed first hand the apathy of the real world when no one would take him back home? Traversing war-torn land just to return a child home may not be in everyone's interest - especially in a place such as Daggerfall.
And no worries. I'll share any ideas I have with you guys, I'm not in it to win it. :)
Ultimately, it's your character and story! I'm just here to throw ideas at you like a carnival game and see what sticks. ;D Sometimes having a second set of eyes can help considerably making a character.
Yay! Thank you @Dervish, I'm glad you like her. I'll go ahead and make a few edits based on your suggestions. I'm also no expert on the sword and shields and broken arms stuff, so I think a slightly better wording will achieve the effect I'm looking for without feeling overpowered.
I hadn't even thought of athletics, tbh. They took that out for Skyrim, right? I think I just forgot about it, but I agree, that's a very sensible skill for her to have.
Thanks again! I'm looking forward to writing with you all :)
There's a bunch of videos on YouTube of people whacking things with swords, might give you some idea what a person is physically capable of (like cutting a skateboard in half with a zweihander after only two swings, who knew?), but definitely take the time to word things in a way that works for you!
Yeah, athletics and acrobatics were two skills, that come to mind immediately, that didn't return to Skyrim for some reason. I guess Bethesda wanted to ruin our fun of jumping over the walls of cities in two jumps and leaping across water.
@Luminosity, did you happen to see the post where I was entertaining whatever interactions that might come between the characters? I'm interested in seeing what you have to say about it (good or ill).
That goes the same for anyone else. Wall Street CEO and the beggar, the orc, Faruq, etc. I think there's a lot of interesting potential, and I like the variety we have here.
I think I missed this for some reason. I've been zeroed in on the character sheets the past four days. o_o
Thanks for the feedback and obvious effort put in @Dervish, I'll get to touching up Berich's skills soon, and also getting familiar with all of the characters in the RP!
You're welcome! It was a hell of a mountain to climb, but I figure if anyone's willing to put in the effort of submitting a sheet, then they deserve to get feedback that's better than "yay or ney?"
