Those are very fair points all around. Sad to not have made the cut, but I tried and I got some good critique out of it. Good luck to you accepted lot! You are in good hands. I'mma change my profile with the stuff pointed out and keep it around for future use if nothing else!

Like I'm saying on Skype, it's a great start for a character and if it wasn't so many sheets, I'd have no problem accepting the character after a revision or two! Feel free to work on the sheet, and we'll get you on the Reserve, ready to be inserted like a manpon at any moment!

Although, I do wonder how exactly an assassin who was careful enough to eliminate witnesses ended up caught in the first place; perhaps if the assassin got away with it, it would help with colouring Parasius’ mentality in both the ruthless effectiveness of assassins and that nobody is untouchable, as well as justice being a thing that is rarely served.

Something to consider, even though his parents died, would Parasius not be able to claim their inheritance and personal effects? I would find it rather hard to believe that his father, a soldier, would not accept that he may die in battle and leave his son behind, so he’d probably have something in place to support him. As well, if his father was a hero, would somebody not want to do even meager things to help Parasius out? Just something to consider.

I like these points that you made, and I'll admit that I didn't have a lot of time to think every detail through due to a tight time schedule. The assassin getting away is a good touch. I initially decided against that otherwise it would seem like a typical revenge arc against a singular individual. Instead, despite justice having actually been made in the assassin's capture and execution (which I'd say very likely happened after a loud struggle catching unwanted attention, then making a hasty failed escape), Pharasius directs his anger at the entire Dominion, which is many times more insurmountable and would be interesting to see someone attempt at reviving the Brotherhood for it to only be used as a weapon against it. Unless, we could paint the assassin as a faceless tool of the Dominion. Then the points you made in nobody being untouchable, assassination, and justice could be overlayed on that as well. That actually sounds very good.

For some reason inheritance did not come to mind when I had made the sheet. For convenience sake, we could say that all belongings were left in the Imperial City, and Pharasius witnessed first hand the apathy of the real world when no one would take him back home? Traversing war-torn land just to return a child home may not be in everyone's interest - especially in a place such as Daggerfall.

And no worries. I'll share any ideas I have with you guys, I'm not in it to win it. :)

Yay! Thank you @Dervish, I'm glad you like her. I'll go ahead and make a few edits based on your suggestions. I'm also no expert on the sword and shields and broken arms stuff, so I think a slightly better wording will achieve the effect I'm looking for without feeling overpowered.

I hadn't even thought of athletics, tbh. They took that out for Skyrim, right? I think I just forgot about it, but I agree, that's a very sensible skill for her to have.

Thanks again! I'm looking forward to writing with you all :)

@Luminosity, did you happen to see the post where I was entertaining whatever interactions that might come between the characters? I'm interested in seeing what you have to say about it (good or ill).

That goes the same for anyone else. Wall Street CEO and the beggar, the orc, Faruq, etc. I think there's a lot of interesting potential, and I like the variety we have here.

@Spoopy Scary I must have missed it. I've been pretty busy the last few days, and admittedly this OOC has been at full-throttle, haha. I'll be sure to catch up on stuff today and offer some thoughts.

Ultimately, it's your character and story! I'm just here to throw ideas at you like a carnival game and see what sticks. ;D Sometimes having a second set of eyes can help considerably making a character.

There's a bunch of videos on YouTube of people whacking things with swords, might give you some idea what a person is physically capable of (like cutting a skateboard in half with a zweihander after only two swings, who knew?), but definitely take the time to word things in a way that works for you!

Yeah, athletics and acrobatics were two skills, that come to mind immediately, that didn't return to Skyrim for some reason. I guess Bethesda wanted to ruin our fun of jumping over the walls of cities in two jumps and leaping across water.

I think I missed this for some reason. I've been zeroed in on the character sheets the past four days. o_o

You're welcome! It was a hell of a mountain to climb, but I figure if anyone's willing to put in the effort of submitting a sheet, then they deserve to get feedback that's better than "yay or ney?"

I think it would be interesting to see how their relationship would develop. They have very different upbringings, and they both have dealt with their hardships in different ways. While Fiona might chastise Finch's way of life, so they would butt heads often, but she might also have sympathy with him and bond over their mutual losses to the Dominion.

When you get the opportunity, of course, @Luminosity, this is what I was referring to. Take your time!

I think you've summed it up pretty well. Fiona has some shaky morals when it comes to things like revenge, considering her own desire for it, but she very much looks down on thievery. That said, she'd rather try to change a person like Finch than punish him, since he's never wronged her personally. Especially if she sees that he would still like to be a good person. So... yeah! I imagine getting their backstories on the table for each other might not be easy, but they could probably bond over that, and clash in other ways.

His equipment all looks fine, you just may wish to mention how he carries it. Back pack, waist belt? Since he’s travelling a lot, he might also want stuff like a bed roll and some more supplies.

From his appearance: "Several potion vials and pouches hang from his belt..."

That's how he carries his meager belongings. As for traveling supplies, that's a nope, and there's a good reason for that. Maulakanth is way too proud to sleep in the wilderness like some kind of barbarian. He did travel a lot, but mostly from employer to employer -- and he always demanded a place to stay, one of the reasons they all disliked him. If he was freelancing, he'd sleep in an inn. His latest position with the count of Meir Thorvale was supposed to be a (semi-)permanent appointment.

That said, thanks for accepting me! I look forward to this RP a lot.

Oh yeah! Worth mentioning, the accepted characters can be added in the character tab.

Ah, right you are! I must have had a brain fart in my crusade to finish all that stuff up in a timely manner. :D

And fair enough! I look forward to the Jolly Green Rage Giant's antics of punching and stabbing widely inappropriate people.

So the roster so far: I'm assuming that Dervish is submitting a Kung fu master since he put down h2h twice.

Shaft's(may his shaft ever be monumental) ranger sniper guy
Luminosity's fighter/striker amateur repair woman, breaking stereotypes the world over
penny pinching fat cat
Finch the thief, aspiring murderer
Faruq is a defender or something, and my phone keeps changing his name to Daryl
Gaela, the girl on fire
The token Orc berserker
Well-read wizard/sexy librarian
What is this? A knight of the nine? An alter with a conscious? Isn't pissed at all the human gods? Holy shit. Token elf. Also token religious guy.

You misread, friend! One handed (so, swords and maces and shit) and hand-to-hand (kung fu drunkman).

The rest of it's on point, especially the sexy librarian. She helps keep morale up by peering at you dauntingly from above her spectacles.

I visit the local library every week for that smell of dust and also that sultry look from above those half-circle reading glasses that arthritic old woman gives me when I once again walk up with the library's only VHS- Commando, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

@Spoopy Scary The Eight Divines (The imperial Eight) are a fusion of Nordic and the Altmeri Pantheons. Whom mind you share most of the Gods, none are specifically human save Talos. The Altmer believe themselves descended from the Divines, not Created by them as Men do.

Which is the only contention right now religiously between the Dominion and the Empire is Talos worship and the before mentioned Created/Descended.

Also I cheekily never mentioned him worshiping Nine divines. Simply Auri-El (Akatosh) and Stendarr.
