Just curious: may I ask what you think about non-heterosexual relationships? If two lesbians got married, would you consider their relationship "complete" if they adopt or get a sperm donor?

Yep! As long as kids are involved in one way or another, I consider them to be a full, real relationship.

Edit: Ah xd

I totally second Nutts with regards to relationship.

I lol'ed.

<Snipped quote by Frettzo>

High school and post high school is very different. Teenagers tend to be full of raging hormones. Plus I do disagree with the "official until sex" aspect mostly cause if your main goal is to simply get a fuck buddy, yes I am dropping that term, then you've missed the whole point of what a relationship is.

A relationship that will last is one that is of close friends that want to stay together for the longest of times. All the relationships that I have seen that have lasted are the ones that follow this rule since they are thinking about each other, their feelings, and their hardships; not the next time they'll have an orgasmic time.

If someone tells you that you are not sexy enough, then there is a higher chance that they don't care about who you are as a person and only want your dick/vagina.

I agree with you, yet this confuses me from your original complaint.
The best boyfriend and girlfriend (or same sex) couples are best friends first, and they evolve naturally into that. So why be annoyed if someone only sees you as a friend? I mean, I realize you're interested in them, but are you helping them because you're interested, or because you're friends?
Like, I've only ever been with one girl, and it came about naturally and before we even realized what was happening. That lasted close to two years and was great. Since then, I've had trouble with telling other girls I am not interested, instead of the other way around. And not because I'm some hunk or something, but because I help them out with stuff and expect nothing back because I'm pursuing other interests. To be honest I'm against the whole premise of 'looking for someone'. If the best relationships are formed naturally, then who I am supposed to be with will show up because I am who I am, and she is who she is.
Although I can definitely understand being there for someone and then they start dating someone out of the blue, someone who could be really shitty and you feel bad for them.

You know what's been annoying me for the past few days? Road trips. Or generally just driving anywhere that takes more than an hour or two. I'm going to be traveling a lot this summer, and I know that I should be happy about it, but all I can think about is how there is no Internet connection on the interstate. Also, there is nothing more uncomfortable than sitting in a car for so long that it feels like your entire bottom half of your body is aching really bad! Whoever made the quote, "It's not about the destination, it's about the journey," has obviously never had to sit in the car on the way from South Carolina to Connecticut and back again.

Perhaps it's a bit off-topic from the discussion you guys are having, but I felt like sharing this grievance with the rest of you.

Personally I love road trips and if the lack of internet is a problem then that means you're not taking the right kind of road trips, i.e. ones with friends where you're constantly having a good time because you're friends and all that.

This.

It's somewhat depressing to say that experiencing the world is getting in the way of your memes.

@Fabricant451 Believe me, I wish that they were those kinds of road trips. The road trips that I'm taking are with family, not friends. It's not like I dislike my family's company or anything. It's just a lot of interaction between my 3 siblings, my parents, and I, and it gets old after a while.

@Vilageidiotx Even if I was taking a road trip with my friends, I would allow nothing to get in the way of my memes. Granted, all of my friends would be doing the same thing. Moral of the story is that we're all a bunch of antisocial dorks, and we're cool with that xD

Ever been turned down or had a relationship fall apart for being "too nice"?

I have.

So my ex never had a car to drive and we worked at the same business complex, so I used to drop her off home. When she broke it off because she said I was too nice and too helpful, one thing she was annoyed about was me driving her home all the time.

Um... It saved you a 45min bus trip, I got to spend time with you and it was a 2 street detour. So how is that too helpful or too nice?

@Frettzo For the record, I don't want kids. Not every relation needs to have them.

Women aren't straight forward creatures and driven by emotions entirely more abstract then a man's. Just because we might see something for what it's worth for the moment doesn't mean they see it the same way as we do. "Two hours of quality time" might mean - when they have their mind fixed on something - an inconvenience all the same. So in the end: should have bought a car.

In much a similar vein, "being too nice" or thinking you can swoon hearts for chivalry and kindness is in words: beta as fuck. And as much as I cringe for dumping that meme, it might as well be true. Kindness doesn't go far enough to start a relationship but only perhaps strategically maintain it (but itself may not go as far as to keep it real, you need to make some major blood sacrifices). You gotta be assertive, you gotta be alpha, you have to make a strong immediate attention.

Now put the hard cider down and drink a lager like a real man.

But don't pick up chicks with a Mustang or some loud bro car. Get a Miata.

Adorable as fuck.

Aaron, a real man drinks hard liquor. Find out how much will kill you and then back off juuuuuuust a little bit.

The real way to get a good girlfriend is Tinder. Then you have an awesome girlfriend who also happens to be rich. It's dope. Life is great.

I'm going to go ahead and say that you dodged a bullet on that one lol. Like, if you did nothing wrong and they developed feelings for someone else, that'd suck. But if you did nothing wrong and they dumped you FOR that reason? They're warped in the head.
Not saying you don't have a right to complain though. I feel ya, man.

Says the Nuclear Engineer-US Army Ranger. You're basically socially contracted to drink vodka and turpentine by the gallon while shouting about black ops.

The pick up artist community in general annoys me. I hate calling communities cancer, but this one fits the bill. A bunch of low value creepy car salesmen in polo shirts scamming angry women hating virgins out of money. Simplepickup are pranking dudebros who try and make panhalndling for sex look cute.

I have a deep hatred of anyone who takes themselves too seriously. I used to know a guy who would say every offensive comment that came into his head, whether it hurt someone's feelings or not. When I confronted him on it, he said "this is who I am. Why are you trying to change me?"

Needless to say, I haven't seen that asshole in quite a few years, and am happier for it.

Now, as it happens, I recently had my first hernia, due to achieving a level of anger I've never felt before, because a "friend" of mine promised me he was taking care of the arrangements for a trip to China we were both taking. After I already owe him the money for the flight, he tells me he's planned nothing whatsoever... at all... and he says I'm to blame for not getting ready... WHEN HE TOLD ME HE WAS LOOKING AFTER IT!!! He doesn't even have a place for me to stay, FOR A MONTH, after promising me that I would have one!

And he's such an arrogant, self-righteous asshole, he doesn't understand why I'm so angry at him.

Any tips on ways to vent?

When's the trip taking place?

As for ways to vent? I recommend hitting a boxing bag with a few good hard strikes. Straight punches do wonders and are not as likely to get you injured.

if you are going to china you can poop in the road. i had a coworker from hong kong tell me that is cool in the mainland, and they do it all the time there.

i mean to vent of course. not saying that should be the main attraction.

The trip is taking place in about ten days. I've scrambled, and managed to get myself a few places to stay. Now I need to find things to do.

Punching bag is a good idea, but they're expensive, and none of the local gyms have one.
