Ashton Griffone || The Cornerstone

@Evil Snowman@LovelyAnastasia

Ashton blinked her gem like eyes slightly nervously, the edges of her smile twitching as she watched the tiny girl seem to be utterly terrified. It wasn't the firefighter's intention to scare the poor thing. Well, it was probably Marine's intention but still. The young lady looked pretty harmless, Ashton was pretty sure the red head would break if the taller woman so much as touched her. The tall blonde perked up as the noire man walked over, breath tinging with the scent of alcohol and smoke as he seemed a little infatuated with the cute girl. But otherwise, seemed harmless in his intentions with just the interested flirting, so the giant wasn't too bothered. Smiling at him friendly like, even though she was basically ignored, but she still waved after him in farewell as he left.

The red head had barely been here and already the cutie was getting attention. Such is the life of cute adorable girls like this one. Returning her attention to the small stranger, Ashton looked over the ID, eyes flickering to meet the apparent 'Kaori' as the girl explained the situation. Stuttered it, but explained. Kaori was just a little shy of being legal, but if she had friends and was legitimately waiting on friends, Ashton supposed she'd let it slide. She honestly was just a little worried over Kaori's safety while on her own.

It was then the pale boy came up, Ashton still had to look down to meet eye contact. Another visitor she was slightly keeping a eye on. So far though, he seemed fine and healthy so his situation wasn't as worrying. He was kind enough to offer his booth to the red head, what a sweetie! It made Ashton smile warmly. However it vanished the moment she heard him call the tall woman a sunflower. The gears in her head ticked slowly as it processed the words. Was that a compliment? Did she of all people get a compliment by basically a stranger? Who cares she was taking it as a compliment.

Her smile soon returned, amethyst eyes shining and sparkling like a brand new gemstone that was pristine. One could imagine stars just sparkling out of them as she gingerly placed her left hand on top of the mess of white hair and pat it. Careful not to crush it under her muscled hand in her excitement to show her appreciation. She'd hug him, but didn't want to get him dirty. Also, she sorta at times forgot her strength. Carrying forty to eighty pounds a day makes one forget the strength that gives. And when most were half her sized, she tended to try a bit extra careful. She was unsure if these two could take a full on crush hug.

Tapping the counter, the sound thundering and echoing in the bar, the bartender instantly approached and looked at her curiously. Releasing her gentle pats on the white hair, she shot a thumb to Kaori before cupping her left hand to make a 'C' then moving it to her mouth like drinking a glass. Then crossed her arms in front of her before her purple gaze circled in a dizzy manner.

"Water. Got it." The bartender mused as he got a glass, clearly used to Ashton's wordless acts.

Giving a double excitable thumbs up in victory, she then motioned to the white haired boy then crossed her thumbs and pressed her fingers together in their respective hands. Gingerly flapping them like a bird or other flying creature. Probably a butterfly.

"Blue Fairy. Got it. Want one too?" The bartender asked, when Ashton shook her head he nodded. "Water and soda then?" he asked and went to make the drinks when the tall boyish woman nodded and gave another thumbs up.

Ashton didn't know what the pale boy liked, but Blue Fairy was something she liked. It was considered girly, a cocktail, but it was sweet and tasty. It was also a nice way to say he was sweet. Her eyes caught sight of someone new entering the place, whom looked a bit uncomfortable and started typing away at a laptop. Made her a little curious what he was up to.@dabombjk When the drinks were placed at the counter, she happily held the drinks out to the two of them.

Her gaze flicked to a bumbling man who shuffled over, and she watched him look at Kaori and give a sleazy smile. Oh not again.

"Mhmm.... Heeey... Hic.... Toots.. Wanna... Dance?" he slurred, clearly drunk.

Ashton sighed but smiled brightly as she stepped in between, basically blocking view. Holding her hands in front of her as she waved them foreword gently to try and deter and calm the man.

"Mhmm.... Heyyyyy... Outta way Goldibear love child...." he slurred, the comment hitting the top of her head like a imaginary boulder. Feeling herself cry on the inside. Was she a Sasquatch now or something?

"Wha you wanna fight bub? Cmon then put 'em up!" the burly drunken man groaned, lazily pulling up his fists and rolling them up like he was ready to box.

Quickly, Ashton shook her head and waved her hands as well to side to side in 'no no no definitely not' manner. The man didn't seem to listen.. Uh... See... Or just didn't care as he made a swing with his right hand. The firefighter easily caught it in her right hand, causing him to whine in complaint at how her grip hurt, and twisted it in the uncomfortable direction that made him whine. With a sigh, the tall blonde reached with her other hand, grabbing the back collar of his shirt and lifting him off the ground. Carrying him toward the entrance, setting him down and opened the door. She shifted through her wallet then gave him enough cash for the money before lightly shoving him out. Waving at him with a bright smile as she closed the door as he rubbed his hand uncomfortably.

Cheerfully, she moved back to Kaori and the white haired man, grabbed her glass of water and took a sip from it. She innocently looked to the red head before tilting her head and raised her hands. Tapping her left hand against her wrist questionly. Wondering how long her friends were going to be.

Kieran Hishamie

Kieran watched in amazement on how the tall women easily dispatched the drunken man. She moved with such grace and finesse that Kieran began immediately typing away notes.

The amazon of the night scene graciously moved forward, striking down her foes in the blink of an eye. She emerged victorious, and required no praise. for she knew exactly what she had done and was quite urgent to move on with her life.

Kieran saved his document and closed his laptop, returning it back to his bag. Kieran drank his drink in one fell swoop, then paid for it. Kieran turned around to leave when he noticed that the women who he had just finished writing about had not left yet. She was fairly pretty to be sure, and while he had no real urge to talk to her, she was by far one of the more interesting ones here. She was with a few people but maybe that wasn't bad. He had a bit of writer block so maybe this would help. Besides he was just going back home anyways and he wasn't tired.

Kieran began walking over to the female warrior when someone bumped into him, causing him to trip forward into someone else. The person Kieran tripped into spilled their drink all over his shirt, causing an angry stir. Kieran tried to apologize but only received mild insults about him, his mother, and his genitals. Kieran began getting slightly angry. It wasn't his fault!

"Well excuse me assholes of the frickin year,"Kieran said to the group of people who were insulting him."It was an accident. Listen if your guys lady friend here needs her drink that badly then may I suggest going into the back of this place and receiving a shot of every guy and lowlife hanging about? Because it seems to me either your extremely drunk and you don't need to drink anymore, your too dumb to have any common sense, or your all a bunch of 'thirsty' assholes."

Kieran realized that may have not been the smartest thing to say. The three guys out of the five people in the group started moving forward, slightly tipsy. Kieran began backing up, realizing his mistake when he bumped into the women he had wrote about earlier.

Kaori Tatsumia

@Silver Fox@Evil Snowman feat. @Shin@Lunaeria@The Survivor@dabombjk@Dynamo Frokane

Kaori looked from the tall towering blonde to the pale as snow man who had just joined them, only to offer his booth to her. "Ah, that is very kind of you!" she tipped her head in bashful thanks, then realized his gaze had fallen onto Ashton, "Thank...you..." As well as his poetic compliment. His red gaze was sultry like velvet, the kind of gaze that wrapped around you gently till you found yourself bound in its stare. Gentle chains... Her flushed face was starting to make her a bit dizzy. She forgot how alluring every single person in Shine City could be. She let out a bubbling but nervous laugh, soft and quiet, her hands holding one another closely.
"Yes, that man was...unusual..." she murmured, feeling as though the man wasn't really interested in any response of hers. So instead she looked down at the card in her hands. That dark haired man... He had seemed genuine and sincere in his request. Not like a man who was simply drunk and hitting on anything that walked by. His offer had been gentle. Her green eyes softened a bit and she quietly placed the card in her purse, along with her ID.

Looking up at the firefighter, she gazed curiously between her and the man with velvet eyes. Following Ashton's quick lilac eyes, Kaori realized there was someone watching them and writing on his laptop. No, he couldn't be watching them, could he? That had to be her imagination. Why would someone be watching them? How silly of her. All those tv show she watched were letting her imagination run away with her.

Pushing her hair behind her ear, she looked back at the firefighter. It seemed as though the silver tongued man's compliment had hit its mark. There was such a cute expression on the amazon blonde's face... Pressing a closed fist to her mouth, she felt such an odd urge. Like she were being draw into the sultry serpent's aura, desiring to tease such a cute person as this golden goddess... But her green eyes blinked the haze away. Ah, how odd! She pressed her hand to her chest and took a deep breath. It was easy to be overwhelmed in this city. There were so many kinds of alluring people. It was just too easy to be draw into their auras and to faded into their emotions.

The gentle warmth of the tall woman replaced the pale male's silver-and-velvet charm. Both of them had such intoxicating emotions, it was so easy to get lost in the feelings... It was like watching the sun and the moon flirt with one another, both trying to be as delicate as possible and yet not noticing how heady they naturally were to mere mortals like Kaori.

Ashton tapped the counter and Kaori jumped, snapping out of the great sea of emotions these two were painting. Looking at the bartender in surprise, she watched the signs the blonde made and how the bartender was able to understand them all. So... She now was getting a glass of water like she wanted. And the pale man was getting something called a Blue Fairy. And Ashton was getting a soda and water. How fascinating, being able to communicate without words like that...

"Ah, thank you very much," Kaori accepted her water humbly and with glittering green eyes fixed on the blonde. She smiled warmly, finding that the pale man wasn't the only one with infectious charm about him, but this sunlit firefighter as well.

The stench of alcohol and rotting food interrupted everything. Kaori turned to see the drunkard who was approaching her. She held her water close, as if guarding it from the drunk's noxious fumes. "N-No, I don't want to dance," she tried her best to sound stern, but then again she had never been a good liar...

Ashton stepped in, a protective shield from the drunk man. Kaori opened her mouth in protest, "Ashton, wait!" She might be a lean firefighter, but she was still a gentle and cute woman too! That guy could try to hurt her! But the dunkard was already slurring and stumbling and trying to fight the blonde.

Angrily, Kaori bristled, hand clenching the glass of water. Her arms coiled, itching to throw it in his face. But as she thought about it, he swung at Ashton, the amazon woman was quick to react. Like a knight with her lance, she struck a crippling blow on the fool and then lifted him up and set him outside like an unruly house cat.

"That was dangerous!" her voice was no longer wavering and meek, but filled with concern. She set her glass of water to the side and took up the firefighter's hands, fretfully examining them. "You didn't hurt yourself did you?!" she asked quite seriously, searching through her purse, "You didn't get harmed at all? If you did I have a few bandaids in my purse."

She looked up at those lilac eyes, meeting them with her own strong green gaze. "Please do not worry about when my friends will be here while you are in such a troublesome situation because of me!" But soon after she spoke, a man, the one who had been on his laptop, backed right into the tall and noble blonde. It seemed Kaori wasn't the only trouble started in the bar tonight.

Kenji Omarsa

The Cornerstone

@Lunaeria@Dynamo Frokane@Silver Fox@LovelyAnastasia@dabombjk

Kenji didn't think much of it when the man didn't respond or take a cigar, everyone had their stories and it seemed this man had nothing to share. He was, however, surprised to see a bubbly young woman sit right next to him and help herself to a cigar. The Cornerstone wasn't usually a place for young and lively individuals, but people were flooding in. The bartender looked just as surprised and seemed resigned himself to a busy night.

“Hey fellas, think I could buy you your next drink? I have a ton of these free drink things to use up and my friends ditched me tonight.”

Ken observed her a moment as she ordered a drink, taking a puff on his cigar. He looked back at the dark haired man and saw he had no interest. Big surprise. But Kenji was still fairly new in town and it would do well if he had a friend to hang out with every once in a while. Especially a lady friend.

“My name is Addison, by the way, but feel free to call me Addi – or whatever you want. So, what’s the story of the two handsome strangers in the bar?”

Kenji allowed himself a smile and took the cigar out of his mouth. "My, you're quite the smooth talker. Name's Kenji or Ken, whichever you prefer. I'd be glad to have a drink, if you're offering." Kenji looked at her more closely. She was indeed a beautiful woman, long and silky brunette hair, large brown eyes and finished off with a warm smile. No doubt she was the type of girl that one would see at a club and not some smoky bar. But then again, the bar did seem to be more lively than it had been since the first night Ken walked into this place. People were talking laughing, enjoying themselves, someone had switched Jazz back and Van Morrison was playing a romantic tune.

All of a sudden, a young woman backed into Kenji's somber and surly friend. Very young, Ken observed, to the point where he wondered if she was even old enough to be in a bar. And much to Ken's bewilderment, the dark haired man pulled out some smooth moves promoting his business and simultaneously trying to pick her up. Fenton Kelly, he said. And he was a P.I. Imagine that. Ken also noticed a young man with a laptop at the end of the bar, typing away while observing the room. Much more lively indeed. Then, like in all good bars, a fight broke out. A rather tall woman stepped in between the same young woman Kelly hit on and a drunk patron who was currently hitting on her. It didn't last long and could hardly be called a fight, but Kenji noticed that the maneuver the woman used was taught in BCT in the armed services. Interesting, thought Ken. The laptop man was now arguing with a group over a spilled drink and Ken turned back towards the bar and his attention back towards Addie. Even though all this happened, he was only looking away for 10 seconds at most, as not to seem rude to his new female companion.

Ken momentarily glanced back and did a double take, seeing the laptop man being closed in on by some of the group. He saw what was about to happen and sighed, placing his half finished cigar in an ash tray. "Excuse me, Addi, I have to prevent a massive bar fight from erupting."

Kenji rose from his stool and walked over to the group. The man had backed up into the tall blonde woman, he looked to be in a tight spot. Ken crossed his arms and cleared his throat loudly, casuing the three to look back, swaying slightly. "If we have a problem, gentlemen, this needs to be taken outside and not in the middle of the bar." His crimson eyes pierced their minds and they wavered, glaring at the man and saying "Yeah, okay." Kenji gestured to the laptop man to follow him as they all headed outside. It was gonna be an interesting night.

The night air was cool as the partial moon shined down on the men, Kenji rolled his shoulders and stretched out his arms before placing his hands on his hips, looking expectantly towards the men. "You sure you wanna go through with this?" he asked them.

They rushed him.

Elvira awoke in a cold sweat. The room dark, blurred, and apparently moving, she almost got up and screamed before realising she was just experiencing the after-effects of a horrible nightmare. "мудак!" She exclaimed, panting heavily as her nerves began to cool. The movement of the room began to slow as her eyes adjusted to the absence of light, and she fiddled with her glasses to get a proper reading of the room:

Apartment building. Bedroom, hers. Small, with a desk and a bed, plus a bookcase. Her things were still in disarray, boxes piled up in the corner by the door, and her entire room a mess of papers and random assortments of bedroom goods. Her digital clock ticked away ever so obnoxiously...

Tick.
Tock.
Tick.
Tock.
Tick.

She was gonna sock the tock out of the clock if this kept up. Her breathing had, at last, reverted to a calm enough state, and she had the mental capacity to check the time.

"Just short of eleven, huh...? дерьмо."

It was far too early for Elvira to be waking up, especially with what she had to do tomorrow. Tomorrow was Monday, and Monday meant eternal pain and suffering as the week would then begin again.
And another week's worth of black coffee.
She sat back in her bed and sighed, the nightmare still lingering in her mind, despite her best efforts to block it out. She wanted to go to sleep, but at this rate, it would become impossible to do so. She could just tell her mind was tormenting her, sabotaging the success rate of even waking up tomorrow morning.

However, Elvira had a counter-plan.

It had been awhile since she'd last been out for a drink...

Some time later...

"I need a bottle of vodka and a bottle of rum. No shots - I need something... bigger." She smirked at the bartender and flashed him her ID, and he nodded in understanding.

"You sure?" He quizzed back simply, though Elvira's smile and money was more than enough to convince him. "It better not be all for-"

"Сэр, если у вас есть проблемы, пожалуйста, поцеловать меня в задницу." Her Russian seemed to get through to the bartender. Regardless of whether or not he spoke Russian, he had a feeling he understood what was being said, and simply handed her the two bottles. "Just make sure you don't drown."

The woman giggled and eagerly uncorked the seal like a child unwrapping a present. As much as she liked vodka, she needed the dry stuff first. A simple swig had her downing at least a fifth of the thing, and the alcohol hit her like a brick. Of course, that was the point, but she didn't want to be throwing up before she got home. She needed to knock herself out with the stuff, not kill herself!
It might've occurred to some of the other patrons of the Cornerstone that this individual in question was... rather unique. After all, it wasn't often one saw someone dressed in their lab coat visiting a bar, save for that one scientist on that one TV show that everyone was watching nowadays (which Elvira had gotten hooked on).

... Then again, it wasn't everyday you see a novelist at a bar, either...

... though sex-loving cam-girls were definitely popular among those that frequented the night saloon.

Theodore Maxwell

@LovelyAnastasia@Silver Fox@The Survivor@dabombjk

Present time: Cornerstone

It seemed the rather tall person seemed to like being call a sunflower, Theo watching their reactions closely in case he needed to flee should the mountain of human got upset and threw a punch. While waiting for some sort of reaction Theo much to his embarrassment was trying to work out the person gender. Maybe it was alcohol already in his system but he was having trouble laying a clear finger on it. Only hazarding a guess as female when she patted him on the head/ Theo instinctively raising his head like a cat would when patting their head. Theo quite happy that woman didn't mind, positive his guess had to be correct. He made a mental note, thinking he'd want to keep the larger woman happy. Pretty sure she'd throw a mean punch if she got angry.

As the taller woman tapped on the bar Theo huffed quickly using his left hand to mess his hair up. Seeing the taller woman was busy Theo's gaze shifted to the smaller woman now able to get a proper look at her.
"Well she's quite the looker. Being said she a red head and they always look good." he thought his mind bring attention the fact he might of been rude to her. Offering his booth then pretty much ignoring her in favor of the taller woman. However he caught as a glimpse of how the taller woman was taking to the bartender. Watching with a raised eyebrow as she made several what he would call odd hand signs. Finding it amazing the bartender seemed to know exactly was being communicated.
"A mute? Or could it be she a little shy, maybe hates the spoken word? Interesting ... very interesting. Better yet the bartender understand her." he mussed watching the taller woman actions quite interested still pondering why she simply didn't say what she wanted.

When the drink was offered him to him Theo took it. Giving a bow to the head in thanks. Looking at what the woman had ordered for him, he heard the bartender call it a Blue Fairy. Something Theo hadn't even heard of ... still chances where he'd drink it. It be rude not to and Theo wasn't really in the market to upset a woman that looked like she could crush him. Theo although finding taller woman pretty, she had an almost intimidating undertone to her presence. It enough make Theo to watch his actions a little, although so far she seemed friendly.

It was then a drunk approached asking the red head to dance, Theo watching as she tried to say no. About to step in as he doubted the drunkard would take no for an answer, however the taller woman beat him to the punch. Theo shrugging, merely watching unwilling to make any effort given the state of the guy. Still if needed he'd would intervene, however doubted he'd be need to deal with one drunken man. Theo watching the drunk insulted then tried to pick a fight with the tall woman. The white haired man snickering has the drunk punch was caught carried outside.
"How embarrassing, but what idiot picks a fight with someone over a foot bigger then you? It's like trying to play chicken with a train. You don't do it unless your stupid. he thought looking at the red head who seemed to be worried about her friend.
Watching the taller woman come back, Theo found it cute and amusing as the red head asked if her protector was hurt and offered the taller woman band aids. Worried about her protector, which was a nice touch although it seemed unneeded. The 7 foot woman looked like she could handle herself.

It was then someone backed into the taller woman leaning slightly to see it was some around his age maybe a little younger. Noticing that he was being surrounded by a group of three guys.
"Oh boy ... this can't be good." he muttered, recognizing one of the guys regular, someone he had a drink with once or twice when at the bar. Watching the group close in on the guy, he saw some white haired guy step in and save the younger guy ... well sort of. It was more lets not fight in the bar and piss the owner of. A fair enough point given the owner was quick to state he didn't want fights in his bar and ban anyone that played a apart in them.

Seeing the group head outside, Theo frowned it didn't seem all that fair to have two versus three fist fight. That he'd not be able to enjoy his own drink with a fist fight going just beyond the front door. However Theo didn't to get involved in a bar fight that wasn't his problem. It was conflict that lasted half a second. Theo feeling it would be best help the younger guy and his protector out. However he didn't want get into a fight. So thought a little back up would be useful.
"Hey sunflower, think you can give me hand in breaking what going to happen up? I know it not nice to ask a lady, but your the way you handled the other drunk. Your help in breaking this up before it degrades into something stupid would be much appreciated." Theo stated as set his drink down on the bar, he really didn't want to get involved fight but even he couldn't just sit around knowing some poor guy was most likely about to the shit beaten out of him even with his would be protector.

With his drink now on the bar, Theo headed towards the door Theo readied himself for the worst. Hopefully the taller woman would come out and help defuse the situation, positive she'd get every ones attention or at least make then reluctant to start fighting. Stepping outside he could see the group of three just starting rush the younger guys white haired protector.
"Well so much for breaking this up before it started. Better make sure it's at least fair fight since I'm out here. he though picking a out one guy out of three. Sighing he picked one guy out the group off three Theo rushed him. Hopefully this would be over quick and he could get back to that drink, the red head and the tall mute woman.

Jacob ‘Jake’ Sharner

“Ahh!”
Jake hissed with frustration as the miniature screw he was holding on his finger fell off onto the ceramic tile floor under the table with a barely audible clack. This was not the first time. Cursing his own clumsiness, he got off his chair and crouched down to retrieve it, holding it between two fingers now. However, he rose too quick and promptly banged his head in the table. His eyes almost welled up in tears, not from the pain, but the sinking knowledge that all the parts and components above that he spent several minutes carefully organising before he got to work have just been dislodged into an unsortable mess. He curled up into a ball under the table and took a few seconds to console his little heartbreak.

When he finally got up again, shaking his head, he did not even inspect the scene he caused on his workbench. Instead, he took a look at the digital clock that stood in the top left corner of the table—the large red numbers spelled 22:47.

“Huh.”

This mistake and a couple others before ensured the scientist that he was no longer fit for precision work at this moment of time. He took a glance back at his inviting bed, considering his options, but he was almost certain he would not be able to sleep. The jitters were too great within him still, not to mention he felt...somewhat incomplete too. Usually, his head was filled with thoughts until the moment he fell asleep. Today, there was no such thing—no anxiety about continuing the project tomorrow, no ideas flowing. And the speech, however stressing it was, was still a while away. He had to do something else to compensate. Something like...

“Going out?”

Jake gave the idea a good hard thought. He was usually simply too occupied to seek out any kind of entertaining activities, but he knew well how frenzying the guise of the dark was to many of Shine City's denizens. He was sure to find an interesting time out there wherever he went—which would have presented him with just the challenge he needed experience with solving if he wanted to do well at the event in the museum. If he was forced to step out of his comfort zone eventually anyway, why couldn't he get some practice beforehand?
There, it was decided. Jake headed for the door with determination—he was going to do something different tonight.

“Wait a second.”

He froze with his hand already on the handle of the door. Things were not simple, he reminded himself. He could not just go out into the crowd in his usual outfit after a hard day's work without appropriately preparing for it first. He turned his eyes towards the bathroom which opened right from his cluttered bedroom.

“Yeah... This'll be a good first step.”

Clean and refreshed, the scientist emerged from the shower—being careful not to slip like that one day which almost ended with a trip to the hospital—, dressed up in his favourite set of formal clothes that he prepared on the handle just besides him and assessed himself in the mirror. Something was...not right, he quickly figured out. The suit looked good on him, no doubt, so did the matching shirt and tie. This has been his ace wear, he could pull it out at any time for any situation and it would undoubtedly be winsome. Yet...for perhaps the first time, he was not satisfied with his look. It was...too normal. Yes, he thought, he needed to mix it up for once!

Rushing back to the wardrobe—and almost slipping again on the wet floor despite swearing to pay attention every time—, he started flipping through his clothes.
“Nope, nope, nope...”
He soon realised that things did not look as hopeful as he had wanted them to be. All he seemingly had were suit sets and green apparel. He learned way back then that shades of a matching colour put together gave a fashionable outfit, so he went with clothing that fit his hair colour to always look as best as possible. As the years went past, this theory started sounding less and less good in his head though...
After some dilemma, he ended up with a plain khaki shirt and jeans which were, Jake thanked God, blue. He liked his reflection in the mirror better like this, even though he was almost certain he could have picked out a more fitting pair of clothes. Yet still, it was something rare for him, something different...and that was the name of the game tonight!

Jake headed for the apartment garage. Usually he took public transport, but the timetable was not that great at the nighttime. Besides, he was aiming to be as ‘abnormal’ as he possibly could. He had a driving license and a car too, albeit he rarely drove it: it was a black and grey Smart Fortwo, an aptly named very small city car for two people. The scientist bought it right before he moved to Shine City, having negotiated a small sum of ‘pre-payment’ from the Institute in exchange for his services (and a month's wage). He turned the ignition key, switched the radio station, revved the engine and off he went into the bright lights, big city.

Only once he was comfortably on the road and driving towards the heart of Shine City from the outskirts where the Institute and his apartment were located, did he start to actually think about where he was going. The radio was blasting some chill rock—not quite Jake's type, but it did help setting some atmosphere. He slowed down a bit once he got to the city centre, making sure to check out every instalment there was. Finally, he stumbled upon a building that, even on the surface, drew eyes to it as much as light drew insects—Club LUSH.

“Do I really want to do this...?” he murmured to himself as he parked down in front of the club, pressing the small car into a space that would be unfit for most others. Like his every other warning and cautious thought tonight, he dismissed this one as well in the same spirit. ‘Bring on the challenge!’

He reached for the ID cards in his pocket as soon as he got out of the car—unlike many other things, he never forgot to carry his documents with him, for he needed them far more often than most other people of his age. Many did not believe he was more than 16, let alone actually a decade older. It was as much of an everyday struggle for him as getting out of bed was for others—he has never had problems with waking—and this case was no different. The bouncers argued about him for some time, but eventually let him in when the people behind the scientist started to loudly complain about the queue not moving forward.

With a little luck on his side, the ‘challenger’ was now met with the first obstacle as the thumping beat hit him like a hammer. Then, an inebriated gentleman—Jake would have argued the accurate scientific term was actually ‘shitfaced asshole’—also hit him like a hammer, accidentally ramming into the small man in his blurry daze. It hurt, but his spirit was hurt even more: how was he going to survive, much less enjoy an entire night here?

Learning from the accident, he stuck to the side of the bar and eventually sat down at a bar counter. Arms laid on the table and head fixed downwards, he was thinking on how to progress from here. Thinking until he was snapped out by the sound of a glass sliding towards him. It had something in it too. Jake looked at the glass, then at the bartender, confused.
“Drink this,” the latter grunted at him.
“W-why exactly?”
“It'll help you get up to speed...and up to mood.”
“I'm sorry sir, but we do know each other?” The bartender spoke like he knew exactly what was best for the scientist. Yet, even after a good hard look, Jake could say with good confidence that the man was not his father.
“I don't know people, I know types. You're the miserable type.”
“Thanks.” Jake shrugged.
“Don't worry—no type is hopeless. We measure the solutions in alcohol around here and I mixed you something that has just the right amount.”
“That is...?” he asked, adjusting his glasses and looking at the drink again.
“Take it slowly.”
And with that final bit of advice, the bartender turned away to handle the other guests.

Jake played around with the glass for some time more, unable to make up his mind. If his intuitions were even slightly correct, the mixture could very well also get him into the ‘inebriated gentleman’ state, something he wanted to avoid at all costs. On the other hand, he could just not get himself to stand up and get on the dancefloor. His attention was all over the place and he certainly did not want to make an embarrassment out of himself by trying to dance in such state. Alcohol could not teach him how to dance, but it could surely take out the ‘embarrassment’ part...
“If you went this far, might as well go all the way...” he muttered and finally took a small sip.

“Oh god.”

He had mere seconds to live. Someone, call an ambulance! Before he turned off the barstool and puked until he choked to death on it. But alas, in a club no one could hear you scream internally. This was it, this was the end of the promising life and future of Jacob Sharner, let his gravestone be marked with ‘died from a couple millilitres of alcohol’ to warn the people of the dangers of hedonism! How, oh how could he fall to an evil barkeeper and his poison?!

————

Everything was black. Well, for the flash of a moment, at least, as he blinked. He drank a little more, then slowly got off the barstool, taking a couple deep breaths.
“Well...I guess...I guess I'm now ready...” He felt...interesting. The sounds were louder—albeit a little flurried—, the colours were prettier...and that dancefloor looked a hell of a lot more inviting. Was this his drunk state? He would not have called it that. He stuck with ‘interesting’. Which was the whole point of tonight, was it not?

He headed for the crowd.

Ashton Griffone || The Cornerstone

@Evil Snowman@LovelyAnastasia@The Survivor@dabombjk

Ashton blinked repeatedly as Kaori seemed to snap out of her shy state, to one of concern and worry. The tall blonde looked genuinely confused as she tilted her head to the side like a anime character going 'eh' to a odd situation. Slowly shaking her head at the question and trying to give a reassuring smile, fingers gingerly rubbing against the softer hands. Her own we're calloused from years of hard work, so a punch to them was barely felt. So long as one knew how to catch the punch. The tall blonde was used to the fact that she'd never be cute or pretty like many of the women in Shine City, but doing what she loved was worth the sacrifice of pretty skin. Plus, the army had already mostly ruined that part of her. So it took her off guard when someone worried over her like this. Ashton was too used to getting into some kind of danger.

Gently, Ashton placed her hands over Kaori's in order to cease the search for medical aid. Honestly, Ashton was sure she was fine. Though the tall boyish looking woman wasn't sure how to reassure the red head. It was awefully kind of her. Mhmm this was something like out of a romance manga right? Maybe the princely approach would show her appreciation well enough. Or is that weird? They're both women so maybe not? Meh.

Raising the soft hands, Ashton gently squeezed them reassuringly, giving her usual bright and cheerful smile. Before gently kissing the knuckles, giving a silent chuckle as she released them, settling with petting the top of the red hair. Trying her best not to mess it up. Blinking a bit as she felt a bump, she turned to look at the man with the laptop. Getting into a bit of a argument before ended up being backed up against the giant firefighter.

Ashton could feel sweat slide down her temple at the three approaching men. It sure was a busy night. With a smile, she placed her strong hands on the the black haired man's shoulders before gingerly moving in front of him. Once again, using her tall form as a shield. She was about to apologize on his behalf, perhaps offer them drinks, but the white haired man with dark skin stepped in. Instead mostly just moving the fight outside. In which case, the semi-albino, and the irritated patrons went outside. The paler boy walked closer to her, asking for assistance before following the rest outside. Covering her eyes with her hand in a face palm, she slowly slid it down her face before gently grabbing the man with the laptop by the waist. Lifted him up, and set him down on a barstool, doing the same with Kaori. Fixing them with a gentle but firm amethyst gaze. Pointing at them then firmly at the ground. Her intention probably clear.

'Stay.'

Before looking at the barkeeper with a nervous smile, placing her hands together in front of her and bowing a few times in apology, before quickly exiting. Just in time to see the three rush the white haired/dark skinned man and the smaller paper man rushing after them, in which case her eyebrows shot up and her mouth twitched in a 'eep' motion. Her face just saying 'oh dear lord no' at she witnessed the scene for a split second.

Ashton reacted quickly though, sprinting foreword to try and outrun white haired pale skinned boy and reached her hands out. Left grabbing the guy on her left, right grabbing the guy on the right, all the while leaping and wrapping her legs around the one in the middle's neck. Causing him to fall flat on his front, though her legs helped break his face fall to concrete. All the while dragging down the rest of them. Mentally, she gave a ow but outwardly sighed in relief. She didn't particularly want any fight to break out and get anyone hurt. Blinking in confusion at the sound of muffled screaming, she looked down to see the man flailing in a attempt to get the Amazon sized woman off. Obviously failing.

The other two struggled against her hands before the one on the left tried swinging at her. She sucked in her lips as her eyes widened before quickly dropped back to let them swing against one another, before shoving them off her belly and standing up. Brushing herself off, mentally groaning as she was sure her legs were going to be sore after that stunt.

Glancing back at them, she saw the men stand and look pretty angry. Slightly stepping between them and the dark skinned man, she flashed another friendly smile, waving her hands. She really didn't want this to break out into a fight. Fighting wasn't necessary over a simple little accident. Of course, they didn't seem to care as one charged her. She reacted as she grabbed the punching arm, her other hand grabbing at the waist, before using his momentum to throw him over and back behind her to land in some bushes.

However, there were the other two. And one of them managed to get a punch into her gut. Though he reared and shook his hand as if it hurt a little. The tall blonde have a pout as she rubbed her stomach before giving a sigh as she pondered how to handle this without actually hurting the silly thugs.

So, standing tall, she raised her hands in front of her chest and fracked her knuckles in a loud manner. Her eyes sharper, looking a bit more intimidating. Though in her mind she was going off a checklist Marine taught her.

Step 1: Pretend you've been awake for forty eight hours on the job.

Step 2: Imagine you are going all Battousai like Kenshin or super Saiyan like Goku. Or Sephiroth.

Step 3: Imagine trying to win a staring contest.

Step 4: Don't get teary eyed.

Step 5: Narrow the eyes in a attempt to look intimidating.

Think that was all, and it seemed to work as the guy who had just punched her was a bit hesitant to try again. Still, for some reason, he lunged again. The tall blonde dropped as he threw one and missed, tripping over her as she snatched his ankles, flipping him over so he was hanging back to back to her. Standing up, he flailed as she just held his ankles tightly against her shoulders. Swinging him lightly from side to side, making him groan a bit dizzily as the blood rushed to his head.

"Gah let me down let me down!" he wailed as he struggled to get free from the iron clasped grip. And soon enough, she did and he thudded against the ground. Scrambling away.

Ashton sighed, hoping the others were a little bit more reasonable. As she glanced to the rest to check if they are okay. She didn't really like fist fights. Why couldn't they have a cup a tea or something?

Speeding cars. Flashing lights. Bustling crowds. Shine City lived on, and so did its people, shining brighter than the few stars in the slightly clouded night sky.

But not Aya, though. She had no idea why she was out this late.

Really, she didn't know. Everyone else seemed to be walking or perhaps speeding towards some sort of designated area. They had places to go, places to be. But Aya? She really didn't know. It was one of those nights again, those nights where she would stay up until three in the morning, where she would down as much caffeine as she could so she could actually keep herself awake, those nights where she just let her mind wander places because she probably had a bad day, and where the most unusual thoughts and people popped up.

It had been an odd few weeks. As the days hurried by, just like usual, just like always, Aya saw and felt the atmosphere around her to feel so monotonous and black and white that she could swear the colours around her were becoming dimmer by the day. That, or Shine City's epileptic seizure worthy lights had screwed up Aya's eyesight real bad. In a city full of colourful lights, colourful places and colourful people, everything sure was starting to look like a washed out photograph in her eyes.

Aya hadn't felt this down in a long while. She wasn't necessarily sad, just really… bored. Super bored. Extremely bored. All she had been doing was walking for the past hour, when her intentions of getting out of the house this late beforehand was to actually find something to do. She could have thrown herself into Club LUSH, spoiled herself silly with some drinks and merge into a delirious drunken wave of people on the dancefloor. Heck, she was now so near to the place she could hear actual music booming from the building. But Aya decided not to. She wouldn't remember anything the next day anyways. So what was the point of it all?

She really didn't know.

Leaning against the wall of the infamous club, out of sight from the entrance, Aya gazed up at the moon, glistening behind filters of grey clouds. Just when was the last time everything around her had felt this… dull?

She sunk down on a little ledge, feeling the obnoxiously loud music beat against her back. That was enough for Aya's ears today. No need to storm inside and have her eardrums explode from the overwhelming noise. Snuggling into her black hoodie for warmth, Aya brought her knees in, curling up into a ball and leaving her face barely exposed. Even from the other side of the wall she could feel the music slowly taking over her head, as if she was still in her silent bedroom with earphones plugged in. Her muscles eased up, and for some reason, her eyelids were fighting to keep themselves open. Aya would look up at the sky again, expecting it to look just as grey as it was a while ago.

The moon shone a brilliant white, unscathed by the late summer clouds.

Kieran Hishamie

Kieran watched in amazement as he looked on as the fight progressed. He knew he would have to do something at some point, and even his blood was starting to boil. Kieran was reminded of his days in the army when this would happen, blood started to boil, a white noise pounding in his ears. Kyle felt his fingers slightly twitch, and Kyle made eye contact with the amazon women. He saw the look in her eyes, the desperation to not fight obvious. Kieran made a split second decision and whipped out his laptop. Kieran pulled up a fresh word document and typed with one hand, holding his laptop in the other. Kieran looked at his surroundings.

Intoxicated men, The brave hero and heroine, the innocent civilian caught up in an unfortunate miss hap. The night sky shone brilliantly, illustrating everyones face. The sweat dripping down faces and the nervous breathing signified that no one truly wished to fight, but it seemed honor had its place in the moment.

Kieran watched the man try to smooth talk his way out, while the amazon demonstrated her dominance. Kieran made an exciting realization. The womens stance, her posture, the way she talked, it was obvious to Kieran she was accustomed to fighting. Maybe she was former military or possible involved in work that forced her to stay in good physical shape. Kieran allowed himself a small sad smile. Kieran wanted nothing more to get involved now, but Kieran calmed himself. He swore he was done with fighting. And if he did fight, one shot to his lower back could have dire consequences. Kieran took a step back and began typing more.

The innocent man stood nervously with trepidation. How will this end, the man thought. Will the beautiful amazon wish to make introductions? Will the admittedly handsome man wish to make peace? Or will he be blamed for causing a commotion?

Rue Alastair

Rue was humming J'envoie Valser as he strolled down the sidewalk, a basil leaf in his mouth, Ange-Coeur draped happily across his shoulders, her soft tail coming up every ten seconds to brush his face, drawing attention to high cheek bones. But when he saw the people about to fight, he stopped humming and frowned. At least one of them seemed drunk, but the others appeared quite sober. And there was one man who stood at a distance, seeming to observe everything as he typed on a laptop. What an odd tableau. But then again, he's seen stranger things.

"Tell me, belles personnes," he called out in accented English, frowning. "Why do you fight?" his frown melted as his beloved tortoiseshell rubbed a soft cheek against his, reaching up to scratch her chin with a finger. Everything about him screamed elegant and kind. From his warm green eyes, to the obvious love he felt for the multi-colored feline.

Then he frowned again as an errant, probably out-of-place thought occurred to him. "We're being rude, Ange," he told her. "I am Ruelle Alastair, but call me Rue. And this belle fille is Ange-Couer." He bowed as best as he could without dropping his cat, smiling.

You're a strong flame, burning bright. It's our turn, to light another
It's our turn, it's our turn

@MyCatGinger@lovely complex@Viciousmarrow

There came a moment everytime she took the stage where the background noise and ambiance no longer factored into anything. The flashing lights and the still pumping bass and beats from the speakers around her - the headphones were noise cancelling to a point - were nothing more than set dressing. She could close her eyes and not miss a beat, not miss a cross fade or a rewind, eyes didn't matter here. Of the senses only two mattered when she got into that groove - the sweat dripping down her tanned cheek, her mouth hanging slightly open - so slight that only the barest glimpse of her teeth were visible between the thin lines of her lips - her hair sticking to the back of her neck while simultaneously bouncing along her forehead - all of those were lost amidst a complete sensory blackout. No sense of sight, no scent, not even tasting the warm, salty spray of hot air and cheap cologne and perfume. The only things Licks needed was hearing and touch.

The hearing was obvious enough. Her ears needed to be alert, to pinpoint the exact moment in a song to flip it, to spin it back, to swap. A moment's hesitation or miscalculation and the song would change, the vibe would shift, and the people deep in their sixth drink and their second empty promise wouldn't even care. But Licks would.

Touch was less obvious but just as important. Her fingertips could tell the grooves of the spins, the buttons, everything that mattered she could guide underneath her fingers. The simple touch, a gentle guiding hand was needed. Too hard on the flip, too early on the get down, missing the crucial part where the rewind has to happen to keep the beat going...any number of mistakes in something as little as a touch and the only thing these people would hear would be the screech of a failed scratch and the frustrations of the night's MC. But of course Licks was a professional. She took her craft seriously, the same as anyone who wanted to excel in a field. A surgeon couldn't afford to make mistakes, couldn't afford to slack off and neither could Licks. She wasn't fooling herself into thinking her skills were harder or more important than a surgeon, only that a similar mindset was needed. The music was the patient suffering from a life threatening injury, the crowd was the family crying in the waiting room, and her fingers were the scalpel cutting into the vinyl.

At this point these grooves, these trances she found herself in were second nature. Though it was routine, Licks still got into it, giving each rotation her all, bouncing her head and throwing her body into the groove and rhythms. Her right hand was pressed against the can of her headphone while her left hand hovered over the table, ready to spin the next song like a proper jockey. It helped things considerably that she had something inside of her increasing the vibes that she was sending through the soundwaves.

How long was she at the table? It was hard to gauge the passage of time when the only watch was the start, stop, and looping of a track. A simple sample could still last for minutes and the only signal of the end was when the vibe cooled, or when Licks was tapped on the shoulder. Time didn't matter in the groove, nor did it matter when a body was being controlled by pure ecstasy. With that inside of her and her mind gone, lost to the groove, Licks felt like she could stay up there forever - guided by just her sense of hearing and her sense of touch.

But of course, Licks opened her eyes, slowly, blurry sights slowly taking tangible shape, eyelashes laying in the corners of her field of vision. Had she kept her eyes closed she might not have noticed a familiar face and had she kept her eyes close she might not have suddenly been jonesing for a refill. If only she could be so lucky.

And that was who she saw amidst the wave of faceless, formless bodies. It was hard to mistake the guy, with his red hair and rough features that could fool a naive little thing enough for one night. Licks only knew Lucky through a former acquaintance - most likely mutual - who got out of the 'business' and turned the Chinese woman onto Lucky's services. Only it wasn't mechanical needs Licks needed from him and he respected the down low, respected the chill between dealer and customer. Having a rapport with her dealer was second nature - it was a way of ensuring a down on their luck dealer didn't blab to the press in a tell all.

Not that she suspected Lucky would do that. He didn't seem so malicious.

The music didn't come to a stop, but Licks knew how to slip away just long enough to fulfill her own needs. It wasn't the most professional thing in the world, but her plan would take no longer than five minutes, plenty of time to put on some filler track and conduct her business. Spinning her vinyl as she removed it, ending her own personal mix, she swapped to the second table, flipping on a new track,

And as soon as the music began, Licks was gone, slipping away from her stage and down into the ocean proper. It was like swimming with sharks, only instead of teeth and a natural predatory instinct there were bodies, sweat, and a different sort of predatory instinct. Licks kept her head down, making her way through the crowd by doing what came naturally to those around her. Shaking her hips. Swaying her body. Dancing with her legs and her arms, her eyes locked on her destination. The red hair acting like a guiding star on the dance floor.

The problem was that the red haired Lucky was not alone. But that wasn't going to stop Licks from doing what she came all the way over to do.

"LUCKY!" she called, having to raise her voice to match the music, "LUCKY!" if the mechanic didn't hear her she wouldn't blame him, not just due to the music but also from the dancers on either side of him. They didn't look professional, as in hired, which only seemed odd due to there being two people who would tolerate the guy to the point of not saying a damn word about his lack of shirt. "YOU KNOW THERE'S A DRESS CODE, RIGHT? I SNAP MY FINGERS AND SECURITY'S ON YOU FASTER THAN A VIRGIN IN A BROTHEL." Licks continued to speak, cupping her hands around her mouth. Hardly the ideal setting for a conversation, but at least it was more audible here than up where she was working.

"HOW'D THEY LET YOUR DEGENERATE SELF IN HERE ANYWAY?" She asked with a teasing grin, eyes darting to the two women that appeared to be hanging on him or on each other - it was hard to tell. "AND HOW MUCH LIQUOR DID YOU GIVE THESE LADIES, LUCK? ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU LOOK DESIREABLE, EH?" Licks was not above a bit of banter, it was mostly in good spirits. Much more chill than one of her last dealers who assumed jokes meant Licks was wearing a wire even after months of shopping. "IF YOU'VE GOT A MINUTE, THOUGH, I COULD DO WITH SOME...SKITTLES, YEAH?"

The first step in any successful business relationship was ensuring both parties spoke the same language. There were virgin ears - virgin to the club drug scene anyway - no need to let them suspect anything other than a perky Chinese girl wanting to taste the rainbow. If only candy was what Licks had in mind.

@BeastofDestiny

Amaya breathed heavily, her lungs burned with every breath she took in. Every movement she made set her muscles on fire. Her eyes could barely see what was in front of her since so much of her energy was put into putting one foot in front of the other. Her existence felt numb. Something about the usual setting of midnight seemed to push her even harder. Everytime she felt like giving up, she reminded herself of why she was running in the first place. It felt as though each lap was not enough to burn all the fat she had accumulated over the summer.

At one point, Amaya simply closed her eyes for a moment. Upon opening them, she saw a figure in front of her. Before she could even process that she needed to move out of the way, she ran right into them. She fell on her butt since her legs were too sore to catch herself. Upon orienting herself, Amaya finally saw who she ran into. He had dark hair and glasses, and seemed to be asking her if she was alright. It seemed as though he was used to this interaction.

“Oh no, I'm fine. I wasn't really paying attention, so you're fine.” She huffed. Her legs shook as she attempted to stand up once more. However, she didn't let any pain register on her face. She may have stumbled, but she passed it off as if it were normal. “Sorry to disturb you.” She began to walk away, and would have appeared fine if not for nearly tripping and falling on her face. This was not a result of her exhausted muscles, but instead of pure happenstance. She quickly righted herself before glancing back at the guy she had run into. Feeling as though she probably needed a break, she turned back towards him.

“Where are you headed to? It's pretty late.” Amaya asked, taking a seat on a nearby bench.

Part 1 of a collab between @MyCatGinger @lovely complex and @Viciousmarrow
"Fuck me, I'm Lucky."

Club Lush,
Around Midnight. (00:00)

A familiar voice in the crowd had Lucky searching over the laser light show until his gaze settled on the enchanting face of Li-zue… No, Li-zee-ew? Lizeeweezee? Liquorice? He had no goddamn idea how to pronounce the Asian lady’s actual name, just simply referred to her as “Licks” like most everybody else. She was a beauty for sure, but she was also one of his… patients who came to him for their medicine. By some miracle, Nina and Tsubasa had tangled themselves up in a rowdy dance, which gave him ample time to scurry over to the curvaceous DJ. Moving his hips to the beat with both hands in his pockets, he stepped closer to the woman, who was obviously craving a fix. ”Hey, even you have to admit I look good with a shirt off.” his rough, Southern tone teased, smirking warmly at her. ”As for the ladies, well the older one’s my roommate who can’t seem to get a date. The other is…” He didn’t know Tsubasa well enough to call her a friend but he didn’t exactly want to introduce her as a stranger. “That’s my hot date. If you see us slip out, then you can bet your ass someone’s getting Lucky.” A coy wink emphasized what he meant, even though it was already conspicuous. Getting to the point of their meeting, he shadily withdrew a tiny, zip-lock bag and quickly handed it to Licks. ”Anyway, I’ve gotta run for now. I’ll be back in a bit for the dosh.” The well toned ginger boogied himself away, back over to his two lady friends. Honestly, he wasn’t really sure if he would see that money tonight, but she had proven to be good for the money in the past. There was no reason to believe she wouldn’t pay him when asked, so long as he didn’t try to fuck her over, which wasn’t exactly in his business model.

Tsubasa was only momentarily pushed away from Lucky and pulled into Nina’s arms instead, as he promptly got rid of his flannel jacket, and - as promised - his white tank-top, too. Nina was warm and cuddly and loud, and Tsubasa was giggling like a schoolgirl, her own drink clutched in her hand possessively as she tried to imitate what everyone else was doing on the dancefloor. She moved her hips a little, and, downing the last half of her glass in thirsty gulps, handed the empty glass to a startled nearby stranger, who, in less than half a minute, had already passed it on. She threw her hands in the air and tossed her head side to side, her hips wiggling awkwardly at first, but then more confidently. She even took the older woman’s hands and did a mini-tango with her, that lasted a couple of giggly seconds before it dissipated, too. Even in her drunken mind, she blinked over at Lucky when noticing his absence, and her hazel eyes glinted, her cheeks flushed with surprise. Thank goodness she wasn’t the one who had to take her dress off. Still, with her cheeks flushed and her eyes cloudy, there was something a lot more alluring about him, bare chest, light sheen of sweat and all, that playful look in his eyes that reminded her of a fox. Something about clubs was just that - it made you want and do crazy things. And she felt the need to have her hands, her body, all over him, and not just him, but Nina, too. This handsome stranger, whom she only just met, and the equally beautiful woman who he was lucky to have as a roommate. He returned to dance with them shortly after spending a spell in the crowds, and twirled the girls expertly, eliciting even more giggles and squeals from Tsubasa, cheeks hot and eyes half-lidded in what appeared to be drowsiness, but wasn’t quite. Then she felt her body pressed up flush against the older woman’s all of a sudden, using the opportunity to gaze blankly into her glacier-blue eyes. She gave her a cheeky smile, hardly realising just how close she was to Nina that way. She could hardly feel it, but her breasts, even straining against the dress, were pressing up against hers, close, hot and tight, and-
Suddenly, Nina was stolen away by some stranger. Tsu, having no idea about the teacher’s true emotions, innocently presumed she was happy being swung into someone else’s arms to have a good time for the night. That left just her and Lucky alone, then…Oh my.

The song was not the most pleasant to the older woman’s ears as she brought her companions to the dance floor. Nina was use to dancing on a ballroom or at a romantic restaurant… or in the comfort of her condo. Her bliss was slowly dissipating, because when she got this drunk her emotions shifted like a hurricane. Unknown bodies rubbed against her and even when Lucky twirled both his ladies to be a smooth criminal, the teacher felt her world unnervingly spinning. Her physique was pushed up against Tsubasa, their chests touching each other like some yuri erotica. If it weren’t for the abundance of alcohol in her system, she would be ashamed of herself (she was still kind of ashamed but that was tomorrow’s worries). A royal mess waiting to happen. Someone snatched her hand from Lucky and pulled her towards him. She didn’t like this. She didn’t like this at all. Looking back at her roommate and his crush, her gaze caught sight of them being completely enraptured with each other and dancing… on the risque side…

Lucky snickered gaudily as he returned to see Nina taken away by a random stranger, a desperate maiden pulled into mass of raving bodies. How about that?! Someone had actually taken some interest in her despite the monotonous clothing she wore! He didn’t worry about it, knowing fully well (or at least assuming) that the teacher could take care of herself should things go awry. For now, the bare chested American grooved up behind the adorable brunette, who seemed to be having a good time, inebriated as she was. Unexpectedly, he lowered his hand, reeled it back just enough, and planted a firm smack on Tsu’s swaying booty with a wide grin sprawled across his visage. Honestly, he couldn’t help himself. Lucky threw the newbie right into the deep end of the more erotic side of dancing, grabbing hold of her hips and swinging in tandem with her body. His head hovered at her shoulder and leaned in. ”I thought you said you were bad at this.” he whispered teasingly, his lips so close to the sensitive skin of her earlobe.

“Eep!” the shorter woman, body pressed up against Lucky’s, squealed in surprise when she felt a hand, strong and masculine, splayed across her behind, if only for a couple of seconds. It was a firm smack, indeed, and left her a little frazzled. Alas, this lasted only momentarily, and thanks to the drink now having full governing control over her tongue, thoughts and emotions, she was hardly able to resist his advances. Thankfully, it was Lucky, after all, and not some stranger. ...well, except for the fact that he had been a stranger up until hardly an hour ago, and...no. That wasn’t on Tsubasa’s mind at that very moment. Instead, a very different idea had begun to take shape, and this particular idea was semi-conscious, semi-inebriated.
She could feel his body up against hers, muscular from what his job demanded of him, but lean, too. It rippled behind her and, despite a little initial struggling, the brunette found herself quite enjoying herself, her hips moving naturally now, more fluid, up against one very Lucky gentleman. Hell, in her inebriated state, she had even reached her arms up, gently slinging them around his neck and letting her hand lose itself in his mess of sunset hair, illuminated by the club’s lights. She could feel him whisper into her ear, and only gently tilted her face up in response with her eyes still half-lidded and the look of typical tipsiness plastered all across her face. She was smirking, and blushing, with pale irises cloudy like autumn skies. Normal Tsubasa wouldn’t have known how the rules of this game worked. And somehow, drunk-Tsubasa seemed to want to play it for keeps. “Maybe you’re my Lucky charm, hmm…?” she spoke in a low, sultry, secretive whisper, as if meant for his ears only, but was noticeably slurring her words.
She let her lips trace his jawline - hardly innocently - when they were that close, her hands moving away and stroking down his strong forearms, finally reaching his where they were on on her hips, which hardly stopped moving (gyrating, even, now) and cupping over them, as if to instruct him to hold on to her body. Closer, tighter. And then her hips jerked gently, with her doing more of a typical grind as you would see in a club-scene up on this handsome new stranger who, at this rate, might possibly be a new friend in no time.

Nina’s heart was racing, the lights were blinding, the girls were unclassy, the place smelt like sweat… and this scruffy stranger grabbed her close like she belonged to him. I hate it. I hate it. I hate this! His legs were extremely close with hers and she could hardly hear what he was saying but there was no doubt he was a wolf that wanted to devour this innocent lamb of a woman, who looked like she could be his age (but really, she was most likely seven/eight years older than him).

Damn, this girl was on fire! All of a sudden, he was questioning if this was Tsubasa’s first rodeo or not. Maybe it was just the alcohol speaking for her, but the sensual sorceress before him was putting a honey sweet spell on him. Lucky could feel his heartbeat accelerate and his skin flush as he clasped his hands tighter against her waist at his partner’s silent request, the pangs of want reverberating internally. The sensation of her grinding up against him combined with her inviting lips so close to his own was driving him crazy. Had they not been in a room filled with hundreds of people, Lucky might have dared to get more intimate with this lovely vixen right then and there. It was a strange feeling for him, as he was someone who wasn’t always interested in sexual endeavors. Normally, the prospect of flirting and taking a woman out was enough for him. Maybe his prior years of heroin abuse had killed his libido, but Tsu was quickly stirring the beast within. ”Lucky charm, eh? Does that mean you want to taste the rainbow?” he seductively purred back to her. He never thought in a million years he’d be using the tagline for a popular breakfast cereal in a pickup line, but hey, it seemed to work out.

Lucky was lost in trance as the two of them bopped to the beat, and he completely forgot about Nina. As far as he was concerned, it was just him and Tsubasa on the dance floor, a fire whirl that felt like it was going burn the whole damn place down. He barely knew this girl, but almost desperately, he wanted to get to know her better. Maybe this was just going to be a one-night thing, but he didn’t care. This angel was here and now, and he was going to make use of every minute he had with her.

The music playing in the club had turned fluid, as compared to the heavy reverberating bass from earlier. This in turn may have added to Tsubasa’s nature, sensual and sexy, and quite eager to please one very Lucky man. The lyrics of the song pounded in the background,

I been livin’ cloud nine,
I been at it all night,
I been feelin’ so loved.
I been waking up lit,
I been makin’ up shit,
I been spillin’ my guts.

Once his hands were just where she wanted them, Tsubasa murmured something soft into his jawline, her arms up and slung gently around the taller man’s neck yet again. It was almost as if it was an open invitation to do as he pleased with her body, and suddenly, it felt as if her dress clung to her body a lot tighter, creasing gently under his touch. Her lips grazed the corner of his mouth, the young woman able to feel his warm breaths against her neck and her cheek. She moved a hand to his face, gingerly rubbing her thumb over his bottom lip, her own parted as she panted, as if drawn into this man and his heady presence, his presence that was so foreign to her and like nothing she was raised with. He was absolutely wild and untamed, and reminded her of a tiger, whereas she, in comparison, was the prim and proper, pampered housecat. She leaned in closer, hardly focusing on the dancing anymore, but more the feeling of being in this man’s arms. Her voice came out in a gasp, short but dripping with desire already. Her head was light; she felt herself slipping. She breathed in his skin, just like the rest of him it was wild and had an air of untameability. She moaned and mumbled against his lips, hot and wanting, “L-Lucky…”

Fuck my life,
I love my life.

And then things got awkward… The boy, yes, he was definitely a boy, who wore a fitted cap, baggy pants that were nearly down to his knees, and a red tank, licked his lips while trying to grind his ‘thing’ on Nina. He hovered over her and gingerly brought his lips closer to her, obviously wanting to make out with the drunkard teacher. No more! With all the force she could muster, she tried to pull him away only for him to disgustingly mouth, “Where you goin’ baby? The fun’s just started.” With sudden anger and a building anxiety, the overwhelmed brunette brought her hand up to his face and scratched (clawed) it, causing him to bleed. “You fucking bitch!” While she tried to run away he reached for her hair, but somehow by the gods, all he was able to do was undo it. Her hair clip dropped to the ground and before he knew it, Nina had sprinted into the crowd with her gorgeous, long hair falling behind.

It would be a lie to say that Lucky wasn’t hot and bothered, considering Tsubasa’s own eagerness. Her touch was exciting and foreign, practically burning with every movement. His desires were twisting and turning, just like the masses around him. He simply couldn’t take this tantalizing display. It was driving him mad. Lucky let go of Tsubasa’s hips and snatched her hand into his own, acting on impulse as he was like to do. ”C’mon…” Fervently, the redhead strode off the dance floor with his companion in tow, only one thing on his mind: the backseat of the car. As they passed the front door, he collected his flannel jacket, although his tank top had presumably gotten thrown away or lost in the mountain of bodies. There was no need to put it on though; he just wanted to make sure he wasn’t going to be completely shirtless for the rest of the night.

His pace hastened as they neared the car, and once they did, Lucky wrenched the backdoor open with surprising vigor. With a scandalous grin, he practically pushed Tsu inside, tossed his flannel jacket in the front, and not missing a beat, he leapt on her like a tiger catching its prey. His lips went straight to her neck, passionately nipping and nursing her flesh. The flames of yearning were beginning to get out of control.

Her long brown hair strewn across the backseat of the familiar car, Tsubasa’s head was spinning. In a moment, Lucky was on top of her, and her hands were acting as of their own accord, running down his bare back - he still hadn’t put a shirt on - and trailing her nails down his back, enough to leave little marks in streaks down it. As his lips teased and tortured the sensitive skin of her neck, she tossed her head back, letting out another, quieter moan into the hot atmosphere of the car. “L-lucky…!” she gasped between breaths, her eyes squeezed shut and her cheeks still flushed red-hot. Her hands were in his hair now, pulling him closer, and her legs spread of their own accord, one even thrown around him at the hips. “I...I have to tell you something...mhh…! P-please...”
Her words were failing her, and not without good reason. Her back arched to meet his body, and she could feel every contour of his chest against how-suddenly-thin her dress seemed. Her words came out in a final gasp, breathless and wanting but still holding some semblance of sobriety “Lucky, I’ve...I-I’ve never done this before...I-I’m a virgin…!”

Those fateful words caught Lucky off guard and he suddenly broke out of his enamored trance. Raising himself back up and giving Tsu enough room to get up and sit, he blinked exactly thrice at her, his iron hued orbs bleeding a mixture of confusion and regret. ”Shit… Really? I’m sorry. I kinda just got really into the moment. I… uh... “ the man wasn’t exactly sure what else to say, but he obviously respected her enough to turn his own ambitions aside. This was probably one of the worst ways a lady could lose their V card, after all. In the back of a random car with a guy you’ve just met? Not to mention she wasn’t exactly sober. A tinge of guilt struck him at the thought of her inebriated state. Lucky wasn’t the type of guy to take advantage of girls like that. ”Are you okay?” he finally asked her, hoping she wasn’t terrified of him now.

“I-I…” the younger woman breathed, the clouds from her eyes suddenly seeming to part. As Lucky got off her, she sat up slowly, placing a hand over her chest and patting herself down gently, slowly, almost as if she were frightened some part of her was missing. Her eyes, dark brown in the lightless conditions of the back of the car, finally met his, filled with concern, and suddenly she realised where she was, and just what she was doing. “N-no, it’s okay…” she whispered to him, lifting a trembling hand and stroking his cheek with a worried look about her dazed doe-eyes. The situation dawned on her bit by bit, and as her eyes cleared, her cheeks grew redder. “I promise, it’s alright, I…”
“I-I’m fine...I promise, Lucky.” she shook her head. Her eyes were bleary, though she didn’t seem to wear a troubled expression, “I-I...It’s okay…” she said, a little sombrely. “I-it’s okay if it’s...my first time.”
Her tone had changed considerably, and she found herself suddenly cold, rubbing her arms gently and adjusting herself into the seat of the car. She looked over at Lucky with what she hoped was a smile, but the corners of her mouth betrayed their gentle twitching. She was going to frown, but tried to stop herself. She couldn’t tell him why, but it really was okay. She only had thirty days. Only thirty days to experience what people had an entire lifetime to. Inside, she was screaming, ‘Please, please make love to me. Please...please!’ and it took all of her effort to bite her lip and keep herself from tearing up, though they had already appeared in the corners of her eyes, yet again. It seemed the day just got more hectic, for Tsubasa.
An entire lifetime, to do everything she could never do, and to meet everyone she could never meet… somehow that rang a bell. Frantically, her head spun around, and the realisation dawned upon her.
“Lucky? Where’s Nina…?!”

Despite everything, the brunette seemed like she still wanted to continue with their tryst. It was honestly quite surprising to Lucky, and he was stuck trying to figure out why anyone want to have their first time like this. Maybe she just wanted to get it over with? Nonetheless, he didn’t feel like he could do that. Not here, anyway. At the very least, the redhead wanted to take her out for lunch or dinner, then maybe that would be acceptable. “I don’t think I can-” He was in the middle of denying her when she blurted out the fact that Nina was missing. Right! They had thrown the older woman to the wolves, and now… Fuck. Let’s make sure she’s alright.” he exclaimed, hastily grabbing the flannel shirt from the front and dawning it. Then, carefully, he took Tsu’s hand and led them outside the car, quickly heading back inside the Club. Hopefully nothing bad had happened to Nina… Lucky wasn’t sure he could live with himself if his roommate was harmed in some fashion.

Kaori Tatsumia

@Silver Fox@Evil Snowman feat. @Shin@Lunaeria@The Survivor@dabombjk

Kaori looked after the tall towering blonde to the pale as snow man who was speaking about how lackwitted it was to try and pick a fight with the amazon. "He'll understand in the morning, I am sure," she thad murmured, "But it isn't very bright, even for a drunk..." But as soon as it had started, it was over. And then another problem bumped into the amazon. Oh geez...

Another white-haired man, with lots of tough-looking scars, covered it all himself. Everyone moved outside. Kaori was curious, and truthfully not knowing what to do, followed after the tall blonde firefighter. But she stayed close to the door. There was no way she wanted to get caught up in all of that...

The white haired silver-tongued and Aston went to help ref the fight and that was the only reason she was going outside too. Her fingers fluttered nervously with one another and she chewed on the inside of her lip. This place was really rough...

Retreating into bar once more, she wanted to go home....

"This is awkward... but I like it!"

Club Lush,
Around Midnight. (00:00)

Not fond of running, Nina turned her head to see if the guy was stalking her. In this moment, she knew that the club scene was not for her. People were too touchy and aggressive. There was lust in many people’s eyes and she was absolutely revolted of the wildness of everything. Not paying attention to where she was going, the teacher turned her head only to find her body slam right into this poor guy. Their foreheads meeting (and almost their lips) *clunk*. This caused her to jolt back, but she wasn’t able to get too far for some odd reason. “Owie…” she muttered. Her face squinted in pain as she stared at the green haired man that stood before her. He was surprisingly shorter than her by two inches. Their eyes locked with one another, her glacier blue with his amber. The only thing she could really make out in the flashing and dark club was his glasses, his tiny physique, and his casual attire. Trying to pull away, she realized she was tugging him with her. Glancing down, she noticed something dreadful and red leaked into her cheeks. Nervously, she bit her lip. Oh no...this is bad. Her belt… or was it her skirt? She couldn’t tell which one it was but they were latched to his pants. Hearing the voice of the stranger from earlier come from the crowd behind her, she froze up and leaned in closer to the man she just crashed into.

“You should have just said you had a boyfriend.” He rolled his eyes in annoyance from across the room. Nina’s body was shaking anxiously. This was all too much for her.

Turning her attention back toward the other man, the scared woman, looking like a wounded animal, slurringly apologized, “I’m… I’m so-so sorry, Sir.

After the drink and his supposed near-death experience, Jake carried himself in a much different way. No longer scurrying forward quickly with a set destination as he usually did, his steps were now slow and considered as he tried to take in things properly as a true scientist would. The club was overwhelming to his every sense: the bass was intense, the lights only seemed to get faster and more varied with every cycle and the stench was more and more unpleasant the deeper he got into the crowd.
He was not actually sure when or where he was going to stop. The drink seemed to raise his tolerance level indefinitely while also lower his self-awareness level by about the same amount—he felt he was kind of just…in there. Part of the mass, though he did not add much actual weight. Considering how his main trouble many times—ironically—was standing out, this should not have bothered him. And it did not, just perhaps—

He never liked that train of thought anyways.

The hammer struck again, for the third time during his short but already adventurous stay at the club. This time, it took the form of a...pretty lady? To be frank, no one could blame the scientist for not being able to tell much at first glance—for this first glance was actually a face close-up, the kind only lovers did, or so he thought. He saw the pair of blue eyes and contrasting reddening cheeks for certain, and that was enough for him to formulate an initial opinion. He shook his head, staggering...forward? He knew alcohol could do a myriad of things with people, but he was still quite sure he wanted to move away from the lady. And again!
Away, dammit!” His thoughts leaked once again as he faintly cried out in desperation seeing how his body did not want to obey his commands.

The lady stopped. So did Jake. He looked at her, then followed her gaze downwards.
Ah,” he blurted out in a mix of realisation and relief. He was neither not that drunk, nor there was an invisible godlike force pulling him towards her. They simply got...joined together. Somehow. After considering the likeness of the situation, the invisible force theory suddenly did not sound that implausible anymore either.
Looks like fate wanted this to happen...” he lamented irritatedly on how it must have been an upper doing for him to have all these accidents...only realising right after that it sounded like the cheesiest, most opportune pickup line ever. “I mean... No problem, no problem at all. Things...can happen.

A couple seconds passed in awkward, tied-together silence with the two just standing and staring at one another—which Jake absolutely attributed to the inebriation, not his ineptitude—before he finally reached for his jeans to pull out what looked like the end of the woman's long skirt.
I...hope I didn't mess up your...pretty dress.

Mm, it’s no biggie. I’m a bargain shopper, anyways.” Nina stuck out her tongue in embarrassment. They were awfully close and it didn’t help that they were literally surrounded, with little to no space (and it wasn’t like she could turn her body). The biggest problem right now was the fact that they were stuck together. Glancing around them, she tried to find a path to escape. Unfortunately, there were none, so they would have to push their way through. Well, this couldn’t get anymore awkward, right? Bringing her attention back to the green-haired stranger, she leaned in and introduced herself, “I’m Nina, by the way. Nina Valentine. As much as I adore being up close and personal with you, we should probably...you know.” She gestured down at their dilemma. “Don’t mind me just gonna...direct us. If...if we pull, I can feel my skirt...” After bringing her left hand to his waist, gently pulling him closer to her, she nervously started moving through the crowd. Her goal was ideally, the bathroom. She didn’t need to show the world her peach colored dress slip.

Jake swiftly noticed how the woman did not ease up even after the two were untied. Maybe she felt just as uncomfortable in such sudden situations as he did, which would not have been all that bad for him. Maybe they could have reached a mutual understanding, a quick soulmate-like bond between two strangers that could have been the basis for something more later. Jake would have definitely liked that. His hopes only rose higher as the lady introduced herself.
Ah, yes. My name's Jaco-Jak-Jake...Jacob Sharner.” For once, his mouth was faster than his mind as he could not decide in time how exactly he wanted to requite the gesture. “N-nice to meet you, Nina. Even if it was...sudden. But I...I understand if you want to go your way. Maybe some other time then!

He did not quite understand what she said right after, her words were drowned out by the flurry of sounds. He only wanted to wait for her to go her way before he did the same as to not look too awkward. He stared out towards the crowd, waiting. But this Nina did not move an inch. Jake looked up at her once again, only to be met with a gaze so cold and penetrating he swore it almost killed him on the spot. It was also then that he noticed that she was trying discreetly to pull him with her through her skirt.
Wait, didn't I—” the scientist spoke out in surprise before the realisation hit in. He was not in the slightest successful before and Nina's skirt was still very much connected to him. It appeared that fate or whatever cruel entity did this to him was not letting him go easily. “Oh. Let's go then. I'll stay...right ahead of you.

The elegant teacher seemed composed for how drunk she actually was (Adios Mother Fucker!). Was she just good at hiding her buzz or-- her legs suddenly gave out as she fell into him, finally comprehending the spinning world around her, “My head...Klcuky mhade me drunk.” With that sudden movement, her skirt ripped a little more, but she was too focused on using Jake as support. Trying her best to not slur her words, she asked, “Can...you...lead...the...way?” Her right hand trailed to grab his left hand, holding it in her soft grasp. Lifting it up, Nina pointed in the direction she wanted to go, “That way is bthe bkathroom I think.

And so the painfully slow and extremely awkward journey began towards...actually Jake had no idea where as he did not catch any of Nina's recent words. Not like he had much of a choice; if he made any sudden movements, the lady's long skirt would have effectively snapped—surely to draw the attention of even the most enraptured club-goers.
It's all right... Slow and steady...just like...at the lab...” he murmured to himself, battling with the thick crowd as much as the alcohol in his own system. They were making visible progress though, which gave him a glimmer of hope...

Hope which came crashing down on him in the form of a full-weighted Nina Valentine. She somehow lost her balance—Jake could not even turn around to check—and fell right into his green hair. He felt her clutching onto his shoulder like a rock climber on a steep cliff with one hand, and reaching for his own hand with her other. The lady who carried an air of grace with her even when drunk was now a little more than a large sack of flour...and Jake was the hapless farmer.

Clucky made you drunk? I...I guess I imagined a couple things too, don't worry...” He did not even know what he was saying anymore. He just wanted to die—and his expression reflected that thought very well. “Sure, the bathroom...
At least they still had a goal in sight.

A goal oh so distant.

Brushing her face on his green hair, as they slowly, very slowly, made their way through the crowd of horny dancers, Nina cooed, “Your vhair is jso soft, Jaeky.” When was the last time she was this close to a man, besides Lucky? Her roommate didn’t count since there was no romantic feelings between the two of them. This stranger was so nice for helping her. Granted, he didn’t have much of a choice because they were stuck together. Maybe she was being selfish for wanting him to bring her to the bathroom? What was she worried about again? Oh… oh yeah. Her skirt. As they trudged through the sea of people, Nina contemplated her options. She weighed around 114 pounds and the bathroom was an adventure away. How long would he be able to last? Should she just let him go? It’s not like she would be completely naked if her skirt ripped off but walking was really hard right now.

With quick impulse, Nina pulled away from him only to tumble a little backwards before gaining her balance once more. Pulling her own skirt off, the teacher was too drunk to really understand her actions. Hearing the sound of a silvery woman’s voice, the brunette turned her body swiftly, hitting a drink out of some female’s hand (with her elbow), causing it to get all over her chest, “W-where is...Tsubasa?” she asked the sultry, taller woman, who simply pushed Nina back with the force of a mega bitch. As if this was becoming a common theme of the night, she fell into Jake’s arms.

He knew it. Through the simple law of probabilities, the scientist has long deduced that their lengthy path would not go smooth and uneventful. Too much has happened tonight already for the madness to end in silence and too much time still needed to pass. The burdened man tried to prepare for any possibility...

It soon turned out however that his scope of consideration was too narrow, as he only considered sane actions. What Nina did however, was certainly beyond that. Ripping off her precious skirt with a backwards motion, she let Jake go and almost fell on the club floor. She thrashed and stumbled until she knocked over a couple people and got the only remaining clean piece of her clothing, her shirt soaked in some kind of drink.

What...are you...even…
Jake's reaction was over at these couple words. He was sincerely too dumbfounded to do anything but watch the spectacular chain of events like others would have watched a mass NASCAR crash: eyes open wide in shock. It felt very different, and admittedly somewhat better, seeing someone else get in so much trouble.

But he digressed. He did not take any guilty pleasure in watching the drunk damsel in distress stagger around and was absolutely ready—all right, perhaps that was an overstatement—when she came flying into his arms.

The redhaired woman with a short, very short, black dress on, growled, “Listen, slut!” but the rest of her words faded out. Nina tilted her head in confusion, the redhead didn’t remember she had a drink in her hand. The glass went rolling on the floor. “Thatc’s nut nice.” Before she knew it, her hand was grabbed and she was running, yes running, sloppily with her new found friend.

A woman in a man's arms was usually a blissful experience for both parties—but here, it instead served as a slap in the face for Jake who realised he had to do something about the incredibly wasted, incredibly dangerous Nina. She showed some willingness to go, so he took her hand and off they went, speeding towards the bathroom as fast as they could.

He broke in the first bathroom door he came upon like a cannonball, throwing in the woman after him who almost hit the wall with the momentum. Right after, he slammed the door shut and reclined on it, stretching out his hands and serving as a guard and human lock. He was taking quick breaths, sweating from the mix of alcohol, heavy loads and sudden running.

Finally a moment of calm. Wait...what was she doing?!

Somehow, the glorious gods shined on the unlucky couple of the night. Nina found herself on a comfy sofa in a… was this a unisex bathroom? Or? Well, she was in a bathroom (regardless of the gender)! Her body swayed while she dazedly stared at the cute man, “Dank youn so much!” She beamed an innocent yet loving smile at him. Her next action came without warning. Her fingers trailed down her body to find the end of her wet shirt before pulling it off her and revealing her silk dress slip. Shrugging to herself, she tossed her skirt and shirt to the trash missing her target terribly. With confidence that only alcohol would give a woman like Ms. Valentine, she showcased her form to her new friend, “How.. do look?

She was undressing. Oh god she was undressing. Jake, this time on door guard duty, was once again powerless to stop her from getting even deeper into the hole she has been digging for herself for a while now. Thankfully—really thankfully?, Jake asked himself the hard questions—, she only took of her wet and dirty shirt and now stood before the scientist in the barest form that was still possible with a full set of regular clothes on.

Not like she did not look absolutely gorgeous at that.

You look uh...great! Really.” Jake haphazardly voiced his above opinion. “Buut you can't stay like this...not here.
After a moment of hesitation, he dashed from the door to quickly grab the woman's thrown-away clothes and then back to the door right away before anyone came in or the caged tigress made an escape.
Nina, we...we're going home, okay? I'll lead you out of here. Just don't make it any harder, all right? Everything will be fine!
He spoke so fast he was almost sure the brunette did not catch half of it. But it did not matter. They had no time to waste.

They needed to get out of here!

Out of all the bars in Shine City the Cornerstone seemed to be particularly popular tonight – which pleased Addison to no end. For a girl used to the atmospheres of clubs instead of quiet bars the livelier take on the evening was right at home for her. On top of that? A friendly handsome stranger to pass the time with. Now that she inspected him closer he was definitely appealing; he was rugged, well built and covered in rather sexy scars. Addison spied the dog tags on his neck which revealed that he was a member of the army – so he was…physically capable at the very least. She was liking the prospect of entertaining this man for a little bit even more. Unfortunately for Addison, before she could even crack out some of her excellent moves, Kenji excused himself to break up a fight that was starting to brew. A hero in and out of uniform it seemed. Addison gave an understanding smile as Kenji headed toward the ruckus, she used the opportunity to examine what was actually on this Jukebox. Mostly old music that she recognised, but wasn’t particularly keen on. Didn’t this thing have anything bouncy and enjoyable? Some nice old fashioned rap? Addison spent a few more minutes perusing the selection of music before discovering that it DID have something to offer her; one of her favourite songs. Selecting the tune, that wasn’t really especially appropriate for the bar, and making her way back to the seat she was dismayed to notice that Kenji hadn’t rejoined her.

In fact, he was still over there with a group of hooligans, the BFG, and some scrawny looking kid. There was a girl making her way back to the bar in hopes of safety. She looked very pretty, like a kind of dress up doll that you might put several different outfits on. She seemed pretty overwhelmed by…well basically everything. Bless her little cotton socks.

“You look a little shaken sweetie. Don’t worry this kind of thing is normal; it’ll all blow over in a minute. Especially if the BFG is over there. Have a drink!” Addison smiled warmly before sliding a drink voucher the girl’s way.

Addison wasn’t particularly well acquainted with Ashton, but she did know the firefighter and was quite the fan. Ashton and her crew had ended up paying a few visits when a scientist (who may or may not have been Addison) accidently set fire to the toaster oven…in one of the labs…because they were trying to work and make pop tarts at the same time. She really was as gentle as a baby sea lion, but her mammoth stature often put people off – especially if it go to physical altercations. Kenji had also joined her in squaring up to the group of thugs – he wasn’t exactly a delicate doll either. The guys already looked apprehensive and so, with a bit of charm, Addison was sure she could dissolve the situation. She confidently strode up next to Kenji, lightly stroking a finger up his arm when she got to his side, before smiling at the men squaring up to one another.

“Hey, Fellas! How’s it hanging? Look I’m not sure what the weedy boys did but I think we could all just relax and enjoy a drink. I’d be happy to buy you all a round. Maybe two if I’m feeling generous. So how about we all—Oof”

Addison found herself interrupted from being slammed into the ground along with Kenji – who was rushed by the group of thugs. Smacking straight into the floor was bad enough but when the men started to brawl amongst themselves Addison found herself on the receiving end of a punch to the jaw. Not only did it hurt, it ruined her previously perfect lipgloss and that was inexcusable. Launching a punch of her own toward the idiot who decided it would be a good idea to hit her in the first place, before grabbing a hold of his arm and twisting in; the exact same maneuver she had been taught in countless classes now. It seemed that another weedy looking boy was taking on the expanding group of thugs, who decided to join in and enhance this mess even more. She watched as the man writhed in pain with plenty of satisfaction before shouting towards the rest of the useless meat sacks.

“That’s it! Forget the weeds, I’m going to knock seven bells out of you shit heads! Who’s next?!”

The atmosphere in the bar suddenly changed as it dawned on the meat sacks that they’d be fighting Kenji, Ashton, the weedy looking boy she didn't know, potentially the guy that started all this, and Addison – she didn’t look especially threatening, but right now she DID seem a little crazy. Whether or not Kenji and Ashton were going to fight she didn’t know, but the men were scared enough given that Ashton has just decided to use one of them as a basketball with little effort. The guy who tackled into Kenji didn’t look like he’d had a pleasant experience either. The men decided to what drunkards do best when things don’t go their way and retreat, but Addison wasn’t prepared to let them escape that easily – picking up a nearby ashtray from a table and launching it at one of their heads.

“You better hope I don’t catch any of you fuckboys in the streets!” She called after them as the ashtray bounced off one of their heads with a dull thud. Addison stared the filth down as it escaped her sights before she was tapped on the shoulder by some random girl who offered her a tissue for her lip. It had escaped her attention that she’d split it when she took the punch and blood ran down her chin.

“Thanks.” She responded flatly as she dabbed her mouth. She should’ve just gone to Club Lush – she could’ve heard DJ Licks play, probably gotten laid and had a good night and instead, she ended up brawling in her pursuit of a handsome man. Kenji suddenly flashed into her mind and she mentally faced palmed as she turned her gaze to him.

This wasn’t exactly the sexy and mysterious image she had hoped to project onto the handsome man in the bar.

Kieran Hishamie

Kieran cringed lack of words that failed to shown him even the slightest mercy. Kieran ransacked his brain to transform the scene in front of him into a beautiful work of art via wordplay but for some reason he could. More people were showing up and more people were getting anxious. Kieran could see the amazon needed no help and he could see the other man did not need help either. Kierans eyes fluttered from each person, hoping to be inspired by something that they did or said. But all he could think about is the horror of being back in the army, having that need to fight, getting injured, and having all his hopes and his entire future flushed away down the drain of life. Kierans heart skipped a beat when the new man with the feline companion entered into the fray, but dismissed any hope he came to receive when he stood back and simply introduced himself. Kieran felt as if he would never receive good material in this situation.

Kieran quietly slipped away from the scene, ducking and weaving from people. Kieran tried to go unnoticed but accidently bumped into the man with the pet. Kieran fell down before the man, with the cat landing on his head.

Theodore Maxwell

@Lunaeria@IrishAngelQueen@Silver Fox

Theo was about half to the man he had targeted when the giant blonde managed to ran past him. Grabbing all three of the guys in one action, one with each hand and the other with her legs. Theo stopping dead in his tracks watch as the taller woman do a move he had only seen in video games.
"HOLY CRAP! I'm so never picking a fight with her. She'd mop the floor with my quite literarily if she wanted. he thought watching the giant blonde, Theo stuck watching the blonde in awe. Forgetting he was part of brawl as she picked up one of guys and was swinging him around up side down. Theo only coming back into the world when when someone rushed him and hit him the jaw, nearly causing him to lose balance. Turning to face who hit him. Theo brought his guard up and shifting his stance into a boxing one as he turned. Seeing it was one of the drunks that had been advancing on the younger man. In fact it was some he recognized and had several disagreements in the past. However the two had never come to fisticuffs. Frowning at the guy that hit him, Theo now regretting getting involved. He should have just sat back in the booth and drank, even it meant he came across as an asshole.

Without any form of warning Theo went to jab the guy in the face stopping half way thought. The guy moving to protect his head leaving body exposed. That being exactly what Theo wanted so was quick to exploit the opening with a hard strike to the chest. Since he had to fight he plan was to knock the wind out of his opponent, preferably without hurting them to much. The attack seemed to have some affect as he the guy gasped and stumbled back slightly. Theo looking almost please as his attack seemed to have its intended effect. Giving an almost drunken guttural growl the guy came at him throwing another punch at his face. Seeing it Theo moving out of the way, counting with quick blow to the chest. Again the guy gasping for air, falling over on his face maybe down to the alcohol in his system. Theo wasn't sure but he didn't really care he just wanted the guy to give up.
"Dude give it up. Go home." Theo said looking down at the guy started to pick himself up. Theo sighing about to sit on the guy when he got distracted by some girl that was shouting asking who's next. Apparently she had gotten involved beaten someone up, now wanted someone else to fight.

The guy Theo was fighting getting back on his feet his gaze locked on to the girl shouting. Theo readying himself to continue the fight. However instead of taking a swing at Theo the guy took off down the street.
"Screw this that bitch is crazy." he shouted as he took of down the street. Feeling relieved Theo turned his attention to everyone else. Noticing another man had appeared with ... was that a cat in his arms. Theo love for cats showing as he approached the guy.
"Hello. I know this is direct put I must pet your cat, will should be okay with that. I love cats. It's looks so nice and soft and fluffy." he said forgetting about everyone else was around. This reaction to cats he though was cut was common for Theo, which was pretty much all of them. Minus his two ... that lasted about a week of early awake up calls. It was then he noticed his energy level might have been a tad to high for the cat so with a deep sigh tried to clam himself a little.
"Um ... the name is Theodore. Huge cat lover. I have two myself, so I promise I wont hurt her. If she'll let me pat her." Theo said looking down at the animal given a long slow blink before looking back at the cats owner.
