If we're talking about language, I always assume that in crossovers everyone hears everything in what they understand.

Say, D.Va will hear any language she doesn't understand in Korean, but people speaking English she'll hear in English since she's bilingual. Yuki and Youmu will hear everything in Japanese.

If we're talking about language, I always assume that in crossovers everyone hears everything in what they understand.


My way of getting around that was having Yu use vampire telepathy to speak until she can parse the language. I was also planning on having her make a thrall of someone and have them translate for her among people that wouldn't take kindly to having her voice in their head

@Burning Kitty Phorian is spoken in Phoria, however, after some time in Phoria, you will start hearing Phorian as your language.

@MacDuffyThere is always space!!

The Map is just to give general guidelines to the sectors, so no need to constantly state where you are!

Also, most of the current buildings are new, and built over the old buildings. Buildings from the old city are hyper advanced. Buildings from before the sundering are uncommon, but they dominate the heart of the city, such as the temple or government center.

@Nerevarine Yu knows lots of old languages, does she know Latin? Phoc can speak Latin, as well as english. He may be able to urn translator duties to the other PCs until everyone learns Phorian.

@Kafka Komedy Indeed, she does know Latin, so having Phoc as translator would work well once her Thrall is all used up

... doesn't this make roleplaying effectively impossible because, aside from two characters, nobody can actually speak to anyone else and expect to be understood?

I mean between player characters. Like um, pretty sure Yuki couldn't talk to Vivi at all if there's not some autotranslation going on. ^^;

I'm very interested in how Vader will react to all of this in the long term. Its probably been years since he hasn't been under anyone's thumb, especially with @thewizardguy's character being an active factor.
