A New Day in Phoria

Phoria was quiet, still, as if it was a dead city, and all the noise it usually had was gone. It was nighttime in the city, naturally it was engulfed by the darkness of the night, with a bit of lights here and there. The New Moon couldn’t shine any light upon this darkness. It was a most terrible sight, the darkness making any sort of activity in this city nearly impossible and the terrible quietude of this city. However that didn’t last long, two hours after the sun set, a most glorious light appeared from the sky and shined on the whole city, dispelling the the terror of the dark.

The light was brighter than the moon, it was as if a Sun God passed by with their magnificent chariot. That light was not only enough to illuminate the city, but to also blind it, at that moment it was a city of Light. The light that saved the city from the shadows was that of a comet, naturally it was impossible for a comet to give such light, however despite all logic and natural laws, it did so. It was something worthy of the realms of the gods, nothing in the mortal realms could have been bathed by such sublime light . Despite that, panic was everywhere in the city, was this comet a punishement of the gods against the city? Otherwise why would they send such upon this heretical city? Some however saw that as salvation, there can only be rebirth after dead.

The comet would continue for the entire night, only losing visibility as the sun rose up. It was beauty incarnate, but every thing of beauty must meet an end. Dawn had come to Phoria, but the city was still quiet, it’s citizens still asleep. It should have been a typical morning for Phoria, but there was something off about this Dawn, the comet was a signal of that, maybe it was something a message from the gods or the beyond, of the dark and monstrous creatures that roam outside of the boundary of Phoria. In any case, it was clear that new change will come to this eternal city.

You, who enter Phoria, be careful, lest you fall into a bottomless abyss.

Konpaku Youmu

It was a complex dance, in a way. Something that the white-haired girl was used to performing. And yet, no matter how many times she had done the steps, she continued again and again. She was still in training. No matter how accomplished she became, she could always improve. she still hadn't reached Grandfather's level. To truly live up to her family name, she had to keep practicing.

Her katana cut the air, the misty form of her phantom half elegantly whirling through the air as the water fell around her. Roukanken's edge struck a single droplet and parted it. Than another. Than another.

Konpaku Youmu sheathed her blade as the water fell around her. Without pause, she drew Hakuroken. In a single motion, she cut three more droplets of water before they could hit the ground. The wakizashi was sheathed in an instant on her hip. Youmu straightened. The number of droplets had nearly doubled, her blades slicing them through so swiftly that she increased the amount. And yet this wasn't enough. No, if she wanted to reach Grandfather's level, she had to train harder. Placing one hand lightly on Roukanken's hilt, the small girl looked up. Myon followed her gaze. The second bucket was hanging from a thin pole of metal, supported between two wooden struts. Myon shot forward and struck the bucket, flipping the contents and letting the water fall out.

First, to divide it into droplets. Youmu drew Roukanken and swung it upwards, the blade and rushing air parting the falling liquid. In a flash, she had sheathed it again, shutting her eyes.

Then...!

Youmu opened her eyes, and just barely stopped herself from drawing the blade when she realized her surroundings were no longer the gardens of Hakugyokurou. In fact, it was some place she had never seen. Cobblestone streets, tall buildings... indeed, it was completely unlike the architecture of Japan, the things that Youmu was used to.

"... I... what... is..."

The ocean roiled. The smoking mechanical figure, enormous and imposing, sank back into it, vanishing slowly into the ocean, like it had many times before. The last of the robotic minions it had deployed collapsed to the ground in a smoking wreckage. All in all, it was a job well done.

"MVP: D.Va!" Even if there had just been a serious combat operation, the voice that came(with some electronic distortion) out of the small bipedal and very pink machine was a bright and cheerful one. Oh, certainly, she had just done her duty. Yet again had she defended Korea from the giant omnic that continually rose from the sea to attack it... and yet again, she felt like she'd done a great job! The best job out of her whole team! But it was still a team, right? After all, you didn't get this good without understanding how team games worked. But that didn't stop her from being the best pilot out of all of Korea's MEKA pilots, not by a long shot!

Just as she turned to flash her teammates a V-sign from the interior of her cockpit, though...

Well, they weren't there.

Neither was Korea, for that matter. Hana Song found herself on an empty cobblestone street, surrounded by old-fashioned buildings... really old-fashioned. Like, medieval Europe old fashioned. That didn't make any sense. That absolutely didn't make any sense. Where were her teammates? Her home? The ocean? ... And her stream was shut off!

"Wh-wh-what?!"

Nishimura Yuki

The long pink hair swooshed behind the girl as she walked along, stretching. The sun was sinking low in the sky, drifting deeper and deeper as she headed home. Ah, it seemed kind of surreal, didn't it? She was so used to wearing a girl's uniform now... and it hadn't been that long at all since Megaloyuria had been defeated, either. And yet here she was, walking home just like normal again. But that was how it should be, right? She was a magical girl. She had her normal life, and the life she spent making sure the innocent were protected!

Right now, her friends had already split up and gone to their own homes. Hers was only a little further, just one block away... Nishimura Yuki stretched again with a yawn. Ah, it was pretty quiet today, too... there weren't any Negari causing problems. Innocent people didn't have to worry about them for a little while, though Yuki was still going to go on patrol later that night. Still, that didn't mean she couldn't spend a little bit of time relaxing before she... tried to get her homework finished up quickly and then headed off for her patrol.

In any case, however, she was hardly expecting to step into a cobblestone alleyway surrounded by medieval-style buildings.

There was a swirl of lights, then darkness, and then a disorienting gravitational jerk, and Magnus felt his body re-forming into something solid. A spark of recognition hit him as he had felt this sensation once before, once, when he had walked out onto the mortal plane. Memories resurfaced as he realized that this was all wrong. This, simply shouldn't be happening.

With a thundering crash, the large daemonic form of Magnus the Red smashed through trees and shattered rock as he manifested improperly on the surface of a material world. His durable body felt no pain, but he was no less angry as his wings snapped out to grab the substance of air and magic lashed out to grab onto whatever constituted matter in this plane of existence. Magnus righted himself according to the local gravitational field and for the first time in uncounted centuries, he felt a moment of panic.

It was dark, and he found himself in a forest, thankfully alone and not under attack by whatever had caused him to be here. Fenris was first on his mind, but it could have been any of a hundred thousand worlds. However he had gotten here, he could not remember, and that was both infuriating and terrifying. He quickly looked around for adversaries, yet found, nothing. "Ahriman?!" He called, still a bit disoriented at being forced into physical form. No answer.

This world was different. His body was different, for he could feel none of the warp around him, and strangely, nothing of Tzeentch, the chaos god who undoubtedly had a hand in this bullshit he now endured.

A brilliant light then shone from above, and Magnus struggled to identify it. His senses, his power, was comparatively gone. He couldn't just magically "go back." Remembering the burdens of material movement, he leapt into the air and flew up toward the light, embarrassingly searching for answers. Higher and higher he rose, yet he couldn't reach it. Surveying the land below only told him this world was feral, until eventually, he saw a civilization on the horizon and felt only faintly the energies of thousands of lives.

Only after landing on a ledge did Magnus settle and consider his circumstances. Had he done this to himself? If he had escaped his master, then surely Tzeentch would be looking for him. If only he could remember what he was supposed to do next to assure his escape. Perhaps, he thought, he should start with finding out when and where he was. He still had enough psychic ability to telepathically communicate with any intelligent xeno life. Hopefully, he could avoid getting immediately blown up on the spot and banished back to his Empyrean prison. Magnus began walking toward the city he had seen. (I'll say he is somewhere in zone 22?)

Episode IV.V
CONVERGENCE: THE RESTORATION

It is a period of insurgence. Rebel
spaceships, striking from a hidden base
on a moon of Yavin, have won a shocking
surprise victory against the rightful reign
of the Galactic Empire.

The Empire's ultimate peacekeeping
force, THE DEATH STAR, was destroyed
due to an unforeseen design flaw.
Without this deterrent, the rule of law is in
danger. Chaos looms!

Punished by the hand of the Emperor,
Sith Lord Darth Vader has been sent
to serve under the command of Grand
General Tagge. Little did he know,
his entire philosophy of the UNIVERSE
is about to change...

Location: Unknown Planet Orbit ---> Phoria Ocean (22 - Harbor)

Far in the Outer Rim, a lone TIE Advanced Starfighter has just came out of hyperspace and is rapidly approaching the planet down below. Piloting the ship, was none other than Darth Vader. He was demoted under his master, Emperor Palpatine, and was assigned to Grand General Tagge after being blamed for the late Death Star's destruction under the hand of the pitiful Rebel Alliance. At the same time, Vader has also been trying to discover the force-strong culprit of the battle station's destruction on his own time. After having done a mission from the general, Vader continues to go upon his own interests alone. Below him, the sith lord knows a person that can help him with his said goals.

Yet as Vader prepares to enter the planet's atmosphere, something hit the right wing of his fighter and began sending it out of control! Was it a meteor? A comet? Laser fire? He didn't know for sure. However, the next thing he knew, he saw a flash of light fill the entire cockpit for several long seconds, until finally ceasing. What he sees next however, confuses him a great deal. Instead of a vast arid planet, Vader sees what seems to be a bustling city beside a beachside. A city? The planet he was heading down to had no such cities anywhere where he is even going.

Regardless, now was not the time to contemplate on the situation. Vader's ship was screeching across the sky on a collision course with the city and he needs to find a clear space to land. After a quick search, he sees a long stretch of beach near what should be a harbor of some sort. Perfect. The dark lord maneuvers his ship into position as he braces for impact. With a hard thump and a screeching halt, the TIE Advanced finally comes to a stop, the waves just barely hitting the side of the starfighter.

A hatch from the top of the ship opens suddenly, as Darth Vader slowly rises from the top, breathing loudly from his mask as he inspects the location he happened to land in. This was not the planet he was heading towards. This planet was completely different. In fact, it looked rather alien to the dark lord. What is this strange world he so happened to stumble into? Was it coincidence? Was it a surprise attack from the rebels? Vader didn't know. But the force tells him that this place is very VERY new. It was rather... disturbing.

Looking upon the harbor, around several kilometers away to the south, Lord Vader finally puts his boots on the sand as he begins walking towards the nearby buildings. His breathing can be still heard quite audibly, even from a good distance away...

Sogiita Gunha

In. Out. In. Out.

A lone student stood alone on top of a grassy hill, gazing at the rising sun with the winds of Academy City blowing towards him as he calmly took a few deep breaths. His jacket and the ends of his headband fluttered in the wind, the former giving off the illusion of a cape if his silhouette was the only thing to be viewed. With his arms crossed in front of his chest, the young man smiled and took one more deep breath before opening his eyes. With a big smile on his face, Gunha's eyes snapped open and he screamed at the sun.

"Alright, let's give it 110% today! Gotta have guts all the way!" he exclaimed, his right hand now curled into a fist and extended straight ahead, the sun continuing to rise above the horizon as he did so.

Gunha didn't normally do stuff like this, though; for some reason, he just felt unusually full of energy today. Maybe it was because there was a lot to do today that didn't involve studying or learning. He knew it was all necessary, granted, but any normal person would get winded staring at books doing nothing but listening to a teacher drone on. He also fell into that category on occasion, but teachers let him get away with a little more than most because of who he was. And hey, he helped keep the peace every so often! Even if he wasn't part of Judgement, he brought guts to the table, and that's all that mattered.

With that expression of energy out of the way, Gunha turned around to head back onto the road before...

"...Huh?"

With a smile still half-stuck on his face, Gunha noticed that his surroundings were no longer the natural (or, well, semi-natural) areas of Academy City; instead, they seemed to be stuff straight out of a child's fantasy story. But for something to be this realistic and detailed...

"No way it could be an esper, right?" he muttered to himself, clapping his face in between his hands a few times before shaking his head and looking around a bit. "Nah, that usually breaks the suggestion. Definitely something weird going on. A prank? Teleporters? Another mess involving that Kamijou guy...?"

Before Gunha could continue musing to himself, though, the sound of someone screaming from a nearby alleyway caught his attention. Almost by instinct, his head snapped in the direction of the sound before he bolted off, cracking his knuckles as he moved. The buildings weren't that modern at all, he noticed; they all seemed to be pretty shoddily built, if compared to stuff even outside of Academy City. So this place was rural, then?

...

That meant no Judgement. Which meant that if he didn't have the guts to find the source of that screaming, he didn't have the right to stand tall and proud any longer.

"I'm coming!"

It took a few moments for Gunha to pinpoint the location the screams were coming from, but it only really happened after he launched himself to the top of a roof to look down from above.

There. Off to the side, where a shadow from another building was covering the alley, a young man was being held up by a few more unsavory folks holding...

Well, they looked like sharp weapons, which was more than enough to justify his intervention.

"Incoming!" Gunha cried out, leaping from the top of the building and down in front of the unlucky chap who was pinned to the wall. A small crater was left at his feet, and as the thugs stood by bewildered at his entrance, Gunha stood up and glared at them.

"You guys really don't have any guts to be doing something like this. I'll give yo-"

Before he could even finish his sentence, one of the thugs swung their weapon (a wooden club, it seemed) at his head. The weapon made contact, yes, but only with his fist as he punched it back. The club broke in short order, its splinters flying all over the place as the young man barely batted an eye.

"So. Guess talking's out, huh?" Gunha asked rhetorically and his rolled his head and cracked his knuckles again. "Well, you asked for it. Don't blame me for you guys being gutsless enough to stoop this low!"

And with that, the fighting had begun.

Reisen Udongein Inaba

"Aaah... Today's a pretty slow day, huh? I guess the people of the Human Village don't really get sick when the weather's warm, huh...?"

With a sigh, the moon rabbit leaned on her arm as she sat on a stool, watching people pass by in front of her and the medicines she had set up. This was business as usual, though; general-purpose medicines were set out for sale, and requests were handled as soon as they came in. But if nobody was hurt or ill or anything, then she'd probably spend the day just waiting here.

Thus was the life of Reisen Udengein Inaba, who didn't actually mind the monotony of life like that. Of course, a bit of excitement would always be welcome (that Occult Ball incident or the recent Lunar invasion came to mind), but for the most part those were just... Interesting at best, honestly.

"...Mmm. Maybe this part of the market's just no good today? Might be better if I change spots..." she mused, getting off of her chair and packing up what packages she had laid out into a pseudo-backpack before turning around to grab the chair she had been sitting on.

The chair, of course, was no longer there. Nor were any of the familiar buildings of the Human Village. Instead of those, there were roads paved with cobblestone, buildings made entirely of stone, and...

"...Oh no, Master's going to kill me when I get back..." Reisen complained, massaging her forehead with one hand while placing the fingers of her other one into the shape of a gun. Holding that hand to her side as she began to slowly walk down the road, Reisen glanced furtively around, wary of anything that could possibly go wrong. If there was any hope of finding out what had just happened, it certainly wasn't going to be done by sitting around like an idiot. Who knew if the enemy was the one who had transported her here to catch her off guard? She certainly didn't, and it was much better to be safe than sorry.

Maybe she could find someone to help, local or... Otherwise. Hopefully they could communicate without having to resort to wacky gestures or a bootleg game of charades...

The loud sound of a Bazaar nearby woke Ryu from his sleep. He sat up scanning the crowds confused. "What happened to the dessert?" The last Ryu remembered he'd been flying back over the ocean. Ryu shrugged gently he had probably just mistimed a transformation and ended up reverting back to his human form somewhere in the great sea. Ryu hopped down into the crowd, Ryu was always looking to shop. He scanned the different items in the bazaar slowly making his way towards the end of the pavilions. Ryu had a long billowing white cloak and armor in his own country the outfit marked him as a wanted man.

"We must be south of windia" He muttered before continuing on his journey excited to see what this new area had to offer already fantasizing about new enemies to fight. The first person who stood out though was a young woman standing in the streets her hand on her sword looking confused and agitated. Ryu interested to meet a fellow swordsman hurried over quickly. Ryu was careful keeping out of swords reach putting a hand on his own sword carefully.

"Hello, My name is Ryu" Ryu also added a short bow as Nina had taught him @VitaVitaAR

Heilong Yu

A final sickening crack echoed off of the cave walls, as bone splintered and a pool of blood began to collect upon the subterranean floor. Yet another vampire's thrall cut down, and a quick meal for sustaining its killer. The half dead thrall murmured out a few muffled words in his Slavic tongue, before the final breaths escaped him. On a few feet away lay the dismembered corpse of his fellow thrall; Yu knew not where this man had originated, she'd not heard him say anything before his demise.

Falling to her knees, the vampiress took to lapping and sucking out the blood that was still in the bodies, tearing the flesh open and gulping down the pooling fluids before they left the slain opponents. When Volodymyr made mention of this place, he had neglected to inform Yu of the scarcity of suitable food in the area. For now, these thralls would have to do.

Rising to her feet, the vampire's eyes caught sight of what was coming for her next. Zombies, and quite a few. She thought the thralls were just here as guards for their master, but clearly, they were closer to him than she anticipated.

Grabbing tight to her axe, Yu lunged forward, tossing her torch forward, and with a twist of her hand, triggering the enchantment, detonating the light and showering the swarm of zombies with fire and pitch, before moving forward and cutting a path for herself through the burning undead. Leaping forward, Yu kicked open the door, running and leaping off a ledge, away from the fiery chaos of the zombies, before she came to a horrible realization. Below her, was water.

"So," she thought, "this is how it ends". How could she have been so stupid as to make a mistake like this? Surely, water moving this fast would kill her. Closing her eyes, Yu braced herself for impact with the water.

But no water came, instead, yu felt a strong pull, and then a heavy force as if she had been grabbed and pulled away. For a few moments, everything went black, only for her to come back into consciousness, the feeling of dirt under her, on her face and hands. She awoke to the feeling of someone touching her body, quickly jerking back up as several small children darted off into the twilight, making off with some various herbs and stones.

"Tarkan gza! Yěrén!" she muttered out, cursing them in the Morthal language and then again in her native Chinese. As the woman stood up, at first she thought little of what she saw. Poor folk, dingy homes, it looked not too dissimilar to one of the slums of Kyiv. But, then she took notice that this looked a bit...advanced...for Kyiv. Advanced for Constantinople or Baghdad even.

"Ti!" she spoke loudly to one of the slum residents, walking quickly over to the confused man. "Da, ti. Gde jesme?"

The man only responded with shrugs and confused stares. Obviously, he was not Rus'.

"Izumėješi-li rúsĕsky? Ellenika? Arabiyyah? Fa-Morthal? Hanyu?"

Nothing. Not a single language.

Yu then noticed another problem. It was morning, and shelter would be needed before the sun was fully out. She turned away from the man and began looking for anywhere to stay until it was safe to come out again. Or maybe she could find a nice cloak to keep the sun off her skin, if she could find a seller who could understand a word she was saying. No doubt as well, that the queenly looking woman would get the attention of more than a few of the impoverished in this slum. The axe she carried would no doubt go for a good price around here.

Vivi

Vivi didn't know Alexandria very well, but he was still pretty sure something was off.

He'd entered through the massive gates of the castle's walls, into the town itself. He'd seen the bustling citizens hurrying to and fro, possibly because of the play to be performed later that day... looking into the sky, he saw a massive airship heading for the castle itself, way on the other side of town... frankly, it was all a little intimidating, but moreso wonderful.

And then he tripped.

Shaking his head and climbing back to his feet, the shadowed face of the young boy could not be seen, no matter how he tilted his head under that floppy hat. No doubt utter confusion was etched all over his unseen face as he saw the large square he was standing in a moment ago, with a large fountain in the centre, was suddenly gone. Replaced by a street that didn't entirely match with Alexandria's aesthetic.

Vivi couldn't figure out what was going on. Had he walked onwards more than he realised, too caught up in the strange new location to notice? But the festivities didn't seem to reach this street. How could all that noise have disappeared so suddenly? Why was this place so devoid of people?

Nervously, the young mage took a step forward. He could probably ask someone for directions... if they seemed nice enough, at least. Would the people here be friendly? Almost everyone that Vivi bumped into had nothing but rude things to say, but it was hard to decry them for that, after all, he was walking into them instead of paying attention.

As the black mage fretted to himself on what to do, a loud yell startled the poor boy. As soon as he passed an alley, a large 'eeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh?!' erupted from it, and Vivi yelled out in shock, falling on his behind. It seemed to originate from a pink-haired girl standing in the alley. Trembling slightly, Vivi tilted his head down as he tried to calm his nerves.

Konpaku Youmu

"A... another person?"

For a few moments, Youmu was silent, her hand remaining on Roukanken's hilt. To be honest, she didn't truly know what was going on or what to expect. As such, the short white-haired girl's hand remained firmly on the hilt of one of her blades, as she eyed the boy approaching her. He was, of course, taller then her, and redheaded, with a sword of his own. Was he responsible for what had just happened? This weird place she'd been dragged into? Somehow Youmu doubted it. Was it one of Yuyuko-sama's friends? Yakumo-sama surely possessed the abilities to do such a thing, but she hadn't seen the... frankly kind of scary appearance of the blonde youkai's gaps. And indeed, it wasn't exactly like Yakumo-sama to do such things unannounced... then again, Youmu didn't exactly understand many of her Mistress's friends. At times she had trouble understanding her Mistress, for that matter. Regardless, it was unlikely that the boy was responsible for any of this. After a few moments of hesitation, her phantom half drifting this way and that behind her, Youmu took her hand off the hilt of Roukanken.

If he for some reason did start a fight, there was no question that the small girl could draw faster then he could.

"I am Konpaku Youmu," she began, after a moment's hesitation, "And... this place... er, I don't recognize it. Do you know where this is? I was training outside Hakugyokurou when I suddenly, um... was here. Do you know the way back to the Netherworld?"

Nishimura Yuki

Yuki was rather surprised when she heart a cry of shock in response to her own... cry of shock. That was not exactly what she expected if she was to be totally honest with herself. In searching for a source of the voice, her eyes fell upon a peculiar figure. Clad in what looked like a wizard outfit, with... well, it was hard to see the face. Not only was their head down, but their face seemed to be completely shrouded in darkness. The figure, in fact, looked incredibly familiar. Ridiculously so. Surely she had seen something like that somewhere... obviously not in real life, but...

For the moment, she could at least rule out that he(insofar as she could tell) was not a Negari. That was important. As she took a step towards the figure, a voice immediately spoke in her ear, altogether too loudly.

"Don't worry, he's not a Negari!" said the tiny, fluttering figure of her fairy, Ruru.

"I'd already figured that out, Ruru," Yuki replied with a sigh, before drawing closer to the small magician-looking individual. Maybe he knew where they were...?

"Are you okay?" she asked, reaching down with one hand to help him up. "My name is Nishimura Yuki, er... do you have any idea where we are? I was walking home and... then I was here."

Ryu scratches his head thoughtfully "I could think of two ways back to an underworld. Digging or being killed, but by your question I assume you mean without injury?" Ryu was confused the question being one his friend Momo might have understood. "I've encountered Ghosts and the Underworld before but I'm afraid to say I've never entered it myself."

Ryu smiles gesturing towards an inn cautiously "If we ask around together at the Inn it would raise to many question. Should we head to a temple or monastery? The dragon god always knows something." Ryu could see the woman would be a good opponent, but this wasn't the time or place for games. If the young white haired girl needed help it was better to ask afterwards. Ryu let go of his sword at last assuming it was appropriate to. Ryu kept his eyes glancing at anyone watching the ghost girl.

Peacock
In which our plucky heroine wakes up in the slums, causes a stir, and meets a fellow stranger - Heilong Yu, as played by @Nerevarine. Action!

Peacock woke with a start in a room that had seen better days, and it was only the complete lack of artificial lighting that let it avoid seeing better nights too. The air was so thick with the stench of human habitation that other odours had to form an orderly queue in the room next door to wait their turn to get in. A handful of other guests were were seeking shelter here, and it looked like there'd been some kind of fight for the a pile of hay the previous night. Whoever won, the pile of hay was the loser, judging by the blood and hay scattered throughout the room. Sunlight illuminated, mercifully, a small patch of the floor, but it was only a matter of time before the whole scene would be bathed in the warm glow of morning proper, and no doubt somebody would be sick at seeing such a sight.

Still, Peacock considered, I've woke up in worse places.

With all the grace of a car crash at fifty miles per hour, Peacock went to the door and burst through into something approximating a communal kitchen. A pair of men huddled around a small fire, a curious choice for indoor decoration, and the pot of something bubbling away on top of it could have been today's breakfast, the regurgitated mess of yesterday's dinner or, most alarmingly, a bit of both. There was no hint of generosity in their eyes, and they didn't seem keen to share any food with the young girl that they'd pulled in from the streets last night. Especially as the scrawnier looking of the two had assumed that the girl was a corpse.

"Good morning," Peacock grinned, "what's cooking?"

The pair abandoned their meagre possessions and bolted towards the safety of the outside world, leaving a trail of hay, dust and an upturned pot of stew in their wake. The wooden door swung gently backwards and forwards in the rotting frame before deciding to give up the vertical lifestyle entirely and fell off it's hinges. More light penetrated the building now, and it wasn't a pretty sight, as generations of people had lived here over the years, and not one of them ever thought to bring in a comfy looking chair, grab a potted plant or do much of anything except watch the building collapse slowly around them. The token bit of greenery came in the form of something growing on the wall; the mouldy patch was probably the healthiest resident the building had ever known.

Stepping over the door, Peacock peered down the street. Buildings leaned on one another for support here, creaking and aching in their old age. To her left, the pair of corpse-gatherers were busy screaming and running away, shouting something about the dead coming back to life and bemoaning the lack of opportunities for the lower classes to get much of anything done. To the right, further down the street, it looked like a small crowd had gathered to watch a pale, axe-wielding lady look for something. Of the two options, the latter seemed like the most amusing, so the two men who put her up for the night got to live another day of crushing, depressing poverty.

The plan was to barge through the crowd to get a better look at the lady, but Peacock's odd appearance did a remarkably good job at easing her passage through the group of slum-dwellers. A few of them muttered about the end of days, and foreigners, and monsters, and Peacock briefly wondered which of the categories the axe-carrying lady came under. Compared to everyone else around here, Heilong Yu was rather differently dressed, and looked just about as lost as Peacock was. The red eyes arrayed down Peacock's arms stared at Heilong Yu, as if trying to work out where this incongruous figure came from and how it fit into the grand scheme of things.

"I betcha you're lost too, huh," Peacock began, keeping a respectful distance from the lady, just as the onlookers were keeping a respectful distance from the pair of them, "and good luck getting any answers out of these clams, their mouths are shut tight when they're not shrugging or sleeping or screaming for help. Who are ya, then?"

Phocas Amyntas

Phocas woke up.

He had no idea how he had. The last thing he remembered was staring down the barrel of one of the Moon Lord's minion's rifles while he faded from consciousness. But it wasn't there anymore. Neither was the roof of the dungeon. Phoc was simply staring up at a beautiful skyline. Dawn, it was, judging by the position of the sun. Or, dusk? He never bothered to memorize considering how often he was underground. Still. It was nice. There was a cool wind and pleasant warmth. He could almost fall asleep right there.

But he couldn't. The last thing he remembered was dying, leaving behind the earth to be ravaged by monsters. If there was any chance this wasn't the afterlife, that he could still help out and fight back, then he had to seek it out. Shooting onto his feet, Phoc gave himself a pat down to see what he still had on his person. From the looks of it, everything he had taken from the Heretic was brought with him, from the blade to a magazine of musket shot. He also still had a few potions left, should he need to take respite.

"So, where am I?" Phoc asked himself. Looking around, he was in a city of some kind. Cobblestone and marble just from his small vantage point of the ground. His bet was on this city being built after the Moon Lord's first coming, no bricks of clay were in sight. They had taken great care to stop the Hallow and Crimson too, no patches of land open to corruption from either source. This was assuming, of course, he was still alive. The city certainly seemed, at just a first glance, to be decent enough for an afterlife.

Either way, he would never know what was going on unless he did his research. He could leave the city and take his chances, but he had no idea where he was. His best bet was, most likely, to ask if the inhabitants knew of any dungeons around the area. Or to ask if he was dead, of course. Looking down both ends of the street, there was a woman in a skirt and rabbit ears. Reminded him of the Hallow, and there was this aura about her like he should trust her, but hate her. As he approached, his hand was close to his blade.

"Hello, Miss, is there a dungeon around here?" He asked her.

Vivi, Top-Tier Black Mage

Vivi turned his glowing orbs-for-eyes towards Yuki, who spoke to him with concern. His trembling quickly came to a stop as he saw that the girl who had screamed so suddenly wasn't scary-looking or anything. After a moment's hesitation, he reached out for Yuki's hand, letting himself be pulled back to his feet. Luckily, he wasn't all that heavy.

Shyly turning away to dust himself off, he glanced at his surroundings once more, before facing the pink=haired girl again, "Um... it's Alexandria, isn't it?" he replied with some concern. It was disheartening if this nice girl was even more lost than he, but at the very least, he HAD to still be in that castle town, right? Even if this was some sort of back street he stumbled into...

Vivi's gaze remained low as he wondered what else to say. Aside from his grandfather, he hadn't really spoken much with others. What was the best way to converse...? Well, the girl had introduced herself already, so...

"My name's Vivi," he spoke nervously, "I... came to see the play at the castle."

ENTER THE SPARTANS

Nicole-B312 had just watched the Pillar of Automn escape Reach with the Master Chief on board. She travelled to the hills but was quickly surrounded. She ducked behind the ruins of a building. Her radar was lit up in all directions in red. "Shit!" She knew she could kill quite a few but there was no way she was going to kill them all. She said a silent prayer then she jumped out of cover and was about to fire on the closest one when everything changed.

John-117 & Jameson Locke were on Sanghelios with their allies formulating a plan to deal with Cortana they had retired for the night. As they prepared to lay down suddenly everything changed.

After a brief introduction and catching up on their respective timelines, the John takes command. "This place clearly will not provide us with the resources to resupply our ammo, so use it sparingly." John orders before sending Nicole out to recon since she still had an active camo from Reach. John & Jameson began securing their location. From their initial observation it looked to be abandoned. There was a large house. Jameson volunteered to keep watch by the gates while John searched the house. The contents of the house had layers upon layers of dust. Each step caused a cloud of dust to be kicked up. It was large for the location but small compared to any ship John served aboard. A quick search yielded no clues or signs of occupants. Didn't mean they weren't none hiding in secret passages.

At the gate Jameson kept took note of all the defensible locations if they were to be attacked. He noted several weaknesses in the wall that encircled the house. "Obviously who used to own has abandoned this place or died with no heirs. Be quite expensive to upgrade to optimum status for this era."

While reconing Nicole found signs of life and avoided them, but she did record everything she saw and heard. There was strange languages and stranger people, none seamed to pose a threat. How they would react if they saw Mjolnir armor was another story. While her active camoflauge was on someone noticed the slight distortion caused by her moving and that person screamed about seeing a ghost. She moved out of sight quickly and made her back to the others.

They were both waiting for her when she got back. She sent them the recording she made.

Reisen Udongein Inaba

Reisen quickly came to a halt as a strange figure wearing a mask not unlike that of a plague doctor's walked up to her. The moon rabbit's expression hardened slightly and, noting the blade at the person's side, readied herself for combat. The fact that he (if the voice was anything to go by) didn't make the first strike gave her some reprieve, but his query was even stranger than she had expected. Slightly more disturbing than it would have been otherwise, though; that mask plus that hood wasn't exactly a very normal getup to begin with, after all.

"A dungeon? I can't say that I've seen anything of the sort in all of my five minutes here," she responded, noting how said person was also readying himself for a fight.

Granted, she was wearing a suit in the middle of a medieval town and had rabbit ears on her head; it wasn't as if she wasn't entirely out of place, either. But even so, there was a fine line between looking proper and looking suspicious!

"So... If we're going to be asking questions, then I might as well ask one of my own; why would you be looking for a dungeon in the first place?"

In truth, she probably had as much of a right to interrogate him as he did her; that is, to say, none at all. But if there was going to be subtle hostility floating around, she'd have to reciprocate. Even if a fight would bring her more trouble than it was worth right now...

Nishimura Yuki

"Alexandria?" questioned Yuki, straightening after helping the strange little guy to his feet. Wasn't that... that guy from history's city or something? Yuki had to admit she wasn't the most knowledgeable about that kind of thing, but at the same time it was hard to forget someone called Alexander the Great and 'Alexandria'. Still, she didn't know all the details. But wasn't that more Greek then medieval or... something? She knew there was a difference there. And it didn't seem like she'd traveled across time and countries either... Or had she? It was hard for the pink-haired girl to tell just what had happened at all. But the fact that there was a play at the castle seemed... hopeful? Maybe people that way would know what was going on and where to go?

"Er, there's a castle?" Yuki asked, looking around, "Um, if there's a play there, maybe there's people there who could tell me what's going on."

"You traveled!" said Ruru brightly, fluttering down and making a circuit around Vivi's hat, "Really far!"

Yuki sighed heavily.

"That doesn't help me at all, Ruru. Do you know where we went?" she asked, folding her arms under her chest.

"Ummmm..." Ruru trailed off for a few moments, "... Nope! But you better keep an eye out for Negari here, too!"

"Of course I will, it's not like I'm going to forget about that."

Konpaku Youmu

"The Underworld?" Youmu responded, before shaking her head. No, no, that was all wrong, she didn't want to go to the underworld... especially when there were ghosts there. This guy must have completely misheard what she was saying. Raising one hand to the level of her face, the incredibly pale girl waved it, her phantom half drifting lightly from side to side behind her as she did.

"No, no, I mean the Netherworld. I think it's... er..." the white-haired girl trailed off for a few moments. It was hard to tell what direction she should be indicating if she wanted to get back to Hakugyokurou. Or... how she had left her home, for that matter. "... Well... maybe someone else will know."

She'd hope this guy would have been able to help, but it looked like he wasn't... for that matter, what was he talking about? Dragon god?

"I don't know of any shrines that worship a dragon god..." she added. There was Hakurei, Moriya...

He punched his hand through the demon. Blood spewed everywhere. Grabbing his super shotgun, he blew it's head off. Doomguy grimaced beneath his mask. "I'LL RIP AND TEAR AND RIP AND TEAR AND RIP AND TEAR YOUR GUTS OUT!!!" he continued, "Almost there..." Within an instant, electricity jolted through him. His suit shut down. He was teleported in zone 22 by the harbor. His suit rebooted. He put away his super shotgun. The super shotgun went into his dimensional backpack, to be exact. He stopped for a minute. Finally. A break. He then heard the noise. Darth Vader's breathing. Someone else was here. He went up to him quick, "Do you know where we are? I mean, I've traveled dimensions before, but not usually knowing where I'm going. The name's the Doom Slayer. You may have heard of me, as I'm kind of a big deal." he said. Nobody really knew who he was, "And what's up with that space suit? is it Halloween here?" he laughed. He didn't know who Vader was, being imprisoned for thousands of years.

Ryu pondered the comment further intrigued. Ryu knew that if you dug deep enough you could reach the realm of the dead. It seemed this white haired girl knew of a distinction between a Netherworld and Underworld which was beyond his awareness. Ryu focused on his Shadow gene for a second being coated in black energy, but not fully transforming looking for the knowledge that escaped him. Ryu could feel the spirits of his dead but they seemed warped as though coming from a different world.

Ryu sighs gently releasing the power and with increasing confusion and says calmly "There are generally small statues of dragons, no bigger then a wagon. If there aren't any here the best I can do is travel with you for now." Ryu shrugs gently pointing to a temple clearly in view in the distance.

"I'll assume that building would be a temple. The large symbol of a flame is generally a good sign in my homeland." Ryu began walking towards the temple without further explanation. It would be interesting discussing more with this stranger, but for now it would be wise to discover the culture and beliefs of this new land in more detail.

Heilong Yu

@Hylozoist

It seemed the peasantry were more quick to shout at her or bolt off in fear when Yu approached them.

More time wasted trying to futilely pantomime for communication, getting either blank stares or aggravated grunts by the slum denizens. These people clearly had no idea who she was, or what she was. No man in the old Empire would have dared behave like this to a vampire. Something was off, as if she had woken up in yet another world.

It would appear that a combination of the eccentric communication attempts, and the strange appearance of a woman like Heilong Yu was gathering a crowd, either interested in the bizarre newcomer, or perhaps in whatever they could take off her and sell for a quick meal. Eyes in the ring of bodies that gathered around her gazed and scanned, with Yu glancing back in disgust at them. Perhaps she could scare them off with a telepathic scream, and watch them skitter away like roaches back into their hovels and pits. As she entertained the though, someone caught her eye.

It was another person, but this one was quite different. She stood out, both in her small stature and bizarre appearance.

"Another vampire?" Yu, thought to herself. Though the language this girl spoke sounded vaguely Theodish, with a bit of what sounded like Latin, she could not parse it as anything she knew. But, if she was indeed a vampire, it would be safe to communicate with her like any vampire would. Yu's eyes locked onto the girl, as she sent out a message directly to the mind of the Top Hat wearing figure.

"I'm lost here. I blacked out a bit while I was out, and found myself here. Would you happen to know, if we are in Erebus or Shams? Is there a place we can go to get out of the sun?"

Phocas Amyntas

Phocas gained a slight frown at the rabbit's denying of seeing any such dungeon, but his brow furrowed too, as she mentioned she had only been here for five minutes. His idea of this being the afterlife seemed to grow more prominent. Not that she'd be able to tell him, obviously. She probably wouldn't want to either, she was giving him the stink-eye and frankly he wasn't sure he should be a huge fan of her.

They stared at each other awkwardly for a bit before she queried him. Wondering why he wanted to know where dungeons were. "It doesn't matter now. I have a feeling I'm not on earth anymore... Were you beset upon by those monsters too? I think we may be dead honestly." He extrapolated. This would probably be a lot for her to take in, he was unsure if he ought to believe it either. But he and she had been taken away from wherever they came from to here, and since he was close to death just before, the theory check out. Teleportation was also an option, but Phoc knew of no form that didn't require some form of item, and a distinct sound. His hand traveled from his blade to his mask-covered chin.

"Or, maybe not. Where were you when you came here?" He asked her. "As said, I was being marauded by creatures. Those ones that descended from the sky." Maybe if they compared circumstances, something new ideas would pop up.
