Riley Ridgeway

Location: The Outer Gate

Riley watched as Chloe came over to them, she was glad that Ashton didn't intervene between her sister and Ryan Riley gave Chloe a sad smile for a moment. She was about to take a few steps over to say goodbye to James, and realized that she was just out of time now she waved goodbye to James. "Take care of yourself out there James!" Riley called out, she wanted to give him a hug but time had ran out she didn't want to get James into anymore trouble then he already was now. Riley sighed slightly as she looked towards Ashton as he started to carry out James' sentence. She really was going to miss the man, as Riley ran a hand through her hair Amelia said her goodbyes just like everyone else had.

Riley then looked over towards Amelia, biting her lower lip as she watched her love look like she was about to breakdown in front of everyone around here. She turned her attention towards her and pulled Amelia into a very tight and loving hug letting out a slight sigh as she looked over towards Chloe. "It's going to be okay, the four of them look like they can easily handle themselves out there." Riley said as she tried her best to try and reassure her.

Riley then watched as James' truck started down the road, and through the opened gate letting out a slight sigh as she wondered if she would see anyone of them again. Or if they would end up being killed whether by the living or dead, she wished that things were different and James would be the one to have stayed rather then him having to be exiled from Newnan.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: The Outer Wall

Ray stood there as Tiffany left to say goodbye to James and Beatrice, he leaned up against his crutch letting out a slight sigh as everyone started to say their goodbyes. Raymond thought about making his way over there, but he didn't want to draw things out and make things any worse then they already were. "I'll see you around, take care of them for me okay?" Raymond said with a smile as he looked towards Tiffany as she walked back and leaned up against him. Raymond gently ran a hand through Tiffany's hair as everyone started to finish up their goodbyes to James.

Then Ashton started to finish things off, he watched James and Ashton as the two of them spoke to one another after Ashton carried out his sentence. Then James climbed into the truck and started to drive out of the gate, looking towards Tiffany for a moment and gave her a loving smile. "I'm sure they will make it out there just fine." Raymond said as he looked around at the others for awhile to see what everyone else was going to do next.

Kristina Smith

Location: Outer Wall

"I'm sure, I really want you to have it." Kristina said with a soft smile as she let go of the hug, and took a step back from James she was doing everything in her power to not burst out into tears in front of James. "I'm going to miss the hell out of you as well.." Kristina said with a sad smile as Niesha came over carrying the medical supplies that they were willing to part with from the infirmary. Her goodbye seemed to be slightly lackluster, but knowing Niesha she was never the same after Sophia when it came to goodbyes. Then Froggy came over to hand James a deck of cards, and shortly after that Ms Sally came over to simply give him a hug.

Kristina looked over towards Niesha and started to make her way over towards her friend once she had finished up her goodbyes to James, and then instantly just hugged her. Kristina started to burst into tears right then and there, she really didn't want to see James leave Newnan, she knew that she didn't have any say in the matter at all. Once everyone was finished up with their goodbyes Kristina turned her head slightly as Ashton carried out the sentence. Then shortly after that James drove Beatrice, Ryan and the newcomer out through the front gates.

Kris knew that James now has a better chance of surviving outside of the walls with the number of people that were leaving, though she didn't really know them that well. They would have each other's backs out there, Kris wiped away a few tears letting out a shaky sigh she was tempted to just run out there and join them, and just be there with one of her closest friends.

Meghna Kumar

Location: Outer Wall

Meghna watched as Chloe as she stepped over towards them, she gave her friend a slight nod as the others went to say their goodbyes though there was a lot of people saying their goodbyes to James. And she didn't have enough time to go through the crowd to say goodbye to him, but Meg smiled towards James and started to wave goodbye to her friend. She wished that she could have given him something, anything to remember her by. "We will miss you James and take care!" Meghna yelled as Ashton was finishing up and carrying out with the sentence, she bit her lower lip as she looked towards Riley and Amelia for a moment. Amelia was taking James' exile one of the hardest, sighing to herself Amelia needed time to grief so she didn't want to force her to work at the moment.

Meg knew that Chloe wasn't domestic, but maybe her friend would be willing to help out and maybe Tiffany as Meg looked towards her friend. "I know you arent domestic, but are you free by any chance?" Meghna asked, it was a possibility that it could be a no she could also get the other domestic staff to help out with putting the bodies of their dead to rest.

Lola Holler

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

"This isn't Denny's mate," Lola said as she gave Alexander a cockeyed glance when he asked if they had a cup to spare. Did this look like Ikea? Sure her extreme home decor was second to none but even she didn't have a traveling china section for tea time. Sniggering to herself she pulled out her waterbottle-esque brita filter and poured in the powdered cocoa into it before closing it up and shaking it hard until it dissolved. Leaning in close to her grill she held the bottle over the heat radiating from it and let it warm up a bit.

Then he spoke again and Lola mouthed off. "I didn't ask you," she said before giving the longest most dramatic eye roll she could, complete with the flapping of her lips as she blew air out in a huff. Looking over at Thalia as she gave her two cents on the matter to counter the man she snorted back a laugh as she pulled the bottle away from the heat and opened it up. She took a long sniff of liquid chocolate heaven before gulping down the warmed drink. (And burping.)

"What she said," she ended up adding after the burp and motioning over towards Thalia. They weren't heading in the direction of the smoke. "But hey, you have fun checking it out," she as she pulled out the spoon from the MRE pouch and opened the cheese spread with her teeth. A few seconds later she had the stuff smeared all over a piece of bread that was with the MRE. God she loved the American MRE's, they came with so much in each. This one alone had the Chili Mac And Cheese, the cheese spread and wheat bread, a cookie, the coffee (she had given to Alexander), the cocoa powder, tootsie rolls, an MRE heater, book of matches, creamer, sugar, salt, red pepper flakes, spoon, napkin, moist towelette, and gum. It wasn't a bad set up for two girls on the road.

Thana Martin

Location: Outer Gate

Thana watched in silence as people said their goodbyes, watching as each person took their respective turns before Ash asked her to back him up and carried out the sentence. "Aye, aye, Sir," was all she said as she stepped forward with him and kept to his left shoulder rear. Taking a parade rest as the two exchanged their own personal goodbyes. Her brow cocked slightly as James spoke to her. A simple nod came from her in reply. "Let the journey begin," was all she said before James climbed into the truck and the gates were opened so he could leave.

The gate closed with a hard thunk once the truck was out and Thana stepped forward a bit. "I don't know the other two but I can speak about Comfort. The man is a walking White James... on crack. God help anyone that crosses their paths," she said quietly. She knew Gavin's crazy, probably better than anyone. She knew what the man was capable of. She knew James from growing up. Those two together... They were probably going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: Cab of the Truck

"Da, I knov I knov," Tatiana said before resting back in her seat and waiting for the goodbyes to finish up. As James climbed into the cab of the truck with her she smiled a bit but kept quiet until they were out of the gate and parked just outside. Turning in her seat she faced him. It was time to get things underway. She knew she could keep him here as long as she wanted now but she also knew that Jack was going to be going bat shit crazy having her outside of the wall, pregnant.

"James, vhy you do it?" she asked as she gave him a sympathetic look. It wasn't a session she was looking forward too but she felt it needed to be done. She wanted to make sure the town was safe but as much as she was worried about what could happen to Newnan, she was equally worried that James would go out and do something stupid since Ash hadn't shot him. The law of Newnan was well known, the fact he was still drawing breath was amazing in and of itself. "If you vere anyone else, Ash vould have shot you."

Gavin Comfort

Location: Back of the Truck

Seemed that everyone was saying their goodbyes and getting that out of the way, Gavin just sat back and waited for the truck to move. He wondered about the girl climbing into the cab but it seemed she wasn't staying with them. That all it was going to be her talking with James a bit and then she was going back to town. So it wasn't much of a surprise that the truck stopped outside of the gate once it closed. Gavin decided to take the time to get to know his fellow traveling companions.

"Well hey there darlin'. I be Gavin Comfort, nice to meets ya," he said with a broad grin. "Looks likes we's gonna be hangin' out heres while those two have a private speak, so why's don't we gets to knows each other? I can's starts. Likes I said, I be Comfort, or Gavin, whichevers yous prefers. Ranger from the great Lone Star State! I love smokin', drinkin, singin', dancin', strummin' the ol' guitar but what good ol' red blooded 'Merican don't?"

Ryan O'Reily

Location: Back of the Truck

Ryan looked over to Gavin as he started talking, glancing over towards Bea out of the corner of her eye as Gavin took it on himself to start this little pow-wow. Once Gavin's mouth vomit had finally finished he smirked a bit and pulled out his pack of smokes, lighting one up and offering one to Gavin. "Hot damn, thanks!"

Chuckling, Ryan looked over to Bea again as he took a long puff. "He remind you of that Peacock bitch in Clue? You know the one, they were at the dinner table and she started rambling on and on... I half expected him to finish his little speech with - My this soups delicious isn't it?" he said with a smirk as he rolled the cigarette between his fingers and then took another puff. Gavin fell out laughing, which made Ryan's brows furrow a bit. Just how crazy was this podunk?

Back inside the gate, Miss Sally just stood there watching and waving as the truck left. Froggy, wrapping an arm around Niesha as the truck pulled out and the gate closed. Things were never going to be the same.

Alexander Polawski

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

It was quickly becoming appearant to Alexander that he had already pushed, or was by no pushing his luck with his questions. He couldn't blame them, him suddenly appearing out of the blue and asking them things they apparently didn't knew or cared for, especially when he was a stranger. Besides, he had the MRE coffee, so he should probably have been grateful, even without any cup to drink it from.

"I understand. Just asking, old man's habit. I like to know what my options are, seen as I'm not about to force myself into your group without permission." Alexander said back to Lola and Thalia, his voice toned with a sort of dissapointed restraint, but not annoyance. Still standing around the warm grill, he prepared himself the instant coffee the G.I. way of pouring hot water straight into the MRE-package, even if he was having a little trouble holding it in his hands. Still, it was better than nothing.

Alexander placed his bum at the side of the tank, looking thoughtfully out onto the snow and keeping quiet. If they weren't in a mood for talking, he wasn't about to annoy them with his chatter. Not that he was sure they were going to let him stay with them, as he had previously stated. He knew that newcomers always were looked upon with suspicion, regardless if you were a soldier or a survivor. Even if Lola was the odd one of the two, he still wanted to keep that option open. So for now he silently and, for the first time, peacefully sipped the coffe he held in his hand, significantly quieter than Lola.

He sighed happily. The coffee tasted like heaven.

Niesha

Location gate

James’s words echoed in Niesha head. I won’t forget you. Such simple words… and yet, they held a world of meaning. It meant that she had been something, at least to James. It meant that she had impacted his life enough to deserve being remembered. She wouldn’t forget James, not just because he was… had been a pillar in the community, he’d been.. Something special here. She turned away from everyone, but she couldn’t seem to escape Kristina’s notice.

Or maybe she just wanted the comfort. As she hugged her, Niesha returned the hug, but when Kristina started to cry, she wasn't too sure what to do. She tightened her grip slightly, and stroked her hair, trying to soothe, but feeling awkward at the motion. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to comfort Kristina, she did… but she hadn’t really had such physical contact.. Since Sophia. She wasn’t too sure what to feel, but she tried not to let Kris see it.

As Kristina looked over, to see the sentencing and watch the group leave, Niesha watched her. And then realised that maybe she was being selfish… maybe Kristina stayed here for her, and nothing else… She knew that Kristina had a deep relationship- connection with James… ”You can go if you want, I’ll be okay” she said softly to Kristina, giving her a sad smile. The words were hard to say, but she knew that she had to say them.

”I don’t want you to go, but… if its what you want, and need… I want you to do it… I’ll be okay” she said again, promising it, even as she wished, more than selfishly, that Kristina would stay with her.

Tatiana & James

James expected that someone would ask him that question, eventually. Most people just nodded knowingly when they found out what he did, but this was the eleventh hour, the last minute, and the only remaining chance anyone might have to do more than speculate as to his motivations. Maybe Tatiana wasn't present when he explained it to Ash. Hell, maybe he was a touch suicidal in exactly that second, and the little lady wanted to ask again now that things had cooled down some. The least he could do was oblige.

"Maybe Sana killin' herself wasn't 100% on him, Tati, but he was part of it. Didn't care a fuzzy shit 'bout that girl. Took advantage of her though, after losin' her brother, just 'cause she reminded him of Miss Zoie." he shook his head, tears starting to form in his big, brown eyes. James wasn't finished talking yet. "Then Sana picked her dead ass up an ate Bryn. That girl... not a lot of folks knew her good, but I did. She was sad sometimes, but kind, and had a smile she didn't show people. We was friends." James's face turned from sorrow to hate, shifting with seamless ease. He was definitely flipping through stages of grief like a champ. "A good woman lost her life to save him, out there." he pointed away from Newnan, out into the corpse-infested badlands that were once Georgia. I honored her, and hauled that worthless ass back home where he didn't give two shits past fillin' his own belly and fuckin' whatever said yes, all while makin' problems for the rest of us. Dick wasn't worth anyone's life, hell sho' not Alicia's."

Tatiana sat there listening to what James had to say. She could understand his logic in the situation, well what logic he was able to put together right then considering just how emotional he seemed to be. He was shifting from sadness to anger quickly. It was a large change from the usual happy James but it wasn't surprising considering everything that had happened that morning. It seemed like it was a long time coming in James mind and this worried Tatiana. She had missed the signs of Sana and obviously had missed the growing rage in James.

"That man's a cancer. An' if I had to die to cut him outta Newnan, still worth it. Dick ain't hurtin' nobody else no more - my family's safe from that sumbitch."

"Maybe safe from him but are ve safer now over all because of vhat you have done? Ve are losing you, a protector, hunter, main person that grows our crops. Ve are losing Ryan, vho has been taking care of medical garden and helping with creating medications, not to mention trainer and knov Eden. Ve are losing Beatrice, hunter and trainer," she said as she sat there. "Ve lost tvo last night because of various reasons. One in vhich includes me not seeing vhat Sana vas going through. Nov Richard dead because I no see groving hate in you." Tatiana sighed a bit as she pushed her hair back out of her face. It was not like the little ballerina to see so serious.

"I didn't ask nobody come with me, Tati. You gotta know that. I don't know why anyone'd wanna leave this place, world bein' what it is. Hell, Imma have to ask 'em, once we out there a ways." His face had notes of actual disbelief. He wanted to tell Tatiana that he and Gavin would try to do something about Eden, at least enough to even out their sudden loss in manpower that day. When the others in his group found out about it, they might even decide to come back to Newnan, anyway. James wanted to tell her that he protected Newnan still, even if he wasn't welcome there anymore. That he would try to protect them for as long as he could. But he just couldn't come out and tell her that he planned to go full Blackneck Beast Mode upside the collective heads of Eden; that he meant to light up Peachtree City with fires fueled by their home and their corpses, if he had his way. "Ain't no hate been growin' in me, Tati. I never trusted Dick. Sittin' with them two dead girls, rememberin' how he treated Miss Zoie, seein' him eyeball Miss Thana like he was? More people was gonna die, Tati, an' that's a fact. I had to do somethin'."

Tatiana eyed James, she knew he was holding back something. It was written all over his face. "Vhy you kill Richard, vhy you? Vhy not talk Ash? All people, Ash listen to you most. Vhy take lav into ovn hands?" she asked as she sat there looking at him. He had given his reasons to why Richard needed to die in his eyes but she wanted to know why he had to be the one to do it personally.

"I brought him in." There was crushing responsibility in his voice. There wasn't a lot of time that they could talk, really; not as much as either of them would have liked. So James kept up with the soul liberating honesty. Call it a full confession, one big, greasy chunk at a time. "Me an' Alicia took Ash's Buster without askin'. Had a big ol' time with that truck. She saved him, died for it, too. I took him outta the shit and into our home, Tati. Our home. Everything he done past that, all that hurt? Some of that's on me."

"Even if some is on you, some is on me. Some is on Ash. Some is on Alicia even for saving him. Means none is on us. Vhat happen because of him is on him. Maybe not even then. Maybe on his parents, maybe on Zoie. Ve could say all day vho is blame but that doesn't ansver question. Vhy no go to Ash? Not trust him? Or you vant revenge?" she asked bluntly as she watched him.

The little Russian girl was going for the meat of it. James knew her well enough not to underestimate her tenacity, but even in this, he blinked. "I don't not trust Ash. Now, if you're needin' to label me with only one of those, it's closest on revenge. But it ain't all about needin' to make that fucker pay, neither. What was Ash gonna do? Lock him up 'cause Sana offed herself? Kick him out 'cause of somethin' he might do? Death and other bad shit followed him 'round, and he's keepin' his hands just clean enough so's Law couldn't touch him. Ash gotta be fair to folks." That's what it meant to be a leader, in James's mind. Fairness, and making the hard choices for the good of your people. "I kill him. Turn myself in, tell why. Only one more person gotta go, then. Everybody else's safe from him, Tati, all it cost was a bullet."

"No, cost more than bullet," she said as she leaned closer and rested her hands in her lap. "Cost your home. Cost friends. Cost part of soul. For vhat? To kill man vho didn't kill anyone? Dah, he influence lives around him but he not kill." Shaking her head a bit she leaned in even closer. "Sana could have valked avay, she let him treat her dat vay. Alicia made the choice to pull trigger to save him, and you both made choice to take truck vithout Ash permission," she said rather bluntly. She had been told the story time and time again from various people who had heard it, who had been part of it in town at the time, even from Richard. "Vhat fair in life? Outbreak not fair, var vas not fair before that. Nothing fair. Cost far more than bullet. You lose yourself. Perhaps bullet better than monster one can become? Deaths that happened because you place blame on Richard is blame of many of us. You kill Richard, dat on you. Make you vorse than vhat you kill. Cost more than bullet."

Solid tears flowed from James, the more Tatiana hammered into him. His voice remained relatively unmarked from the experience, at least enough that he was understandable. "We all made choices, girl. I made a choice and put an axe in somebody. I saw Sana an' ..." His voice choked out a sob, but he fought hard to continue, "Sana an' Bryn lyin' there... after I put 'em both down. Hells naw it ain't fair. I lost my shit and it felt like justice, Tati. Simple as that. I thought I was gonna pay for it, too." He stared at his hands for a few seconds, rocking back and forth a little in his seat. "Sana, me, even Dick, there - Outbreak changed us all, girl. You didn't know me, couple years back. I was a goddamn monster. A man don't just shake that..." His voice trailed off. "...a man don't shake that. Not all the way. Me leavin's for the best." James took in a shuddering breath. "I don't wanna be that guy no more."

"You don't have to be," the little bird said sympathetically as she watched him break down. Sighing slightly she handed him a handkerchief from her pocket. "Each of us have volf inside, fighting constantly. One good, one bad. Vho vin? One ve feed," Tatiana said as she slipped over to James and wrapped her arms around him. Pulling him close and hugging him tight. "Feed right one."

James didn't relax into the hug for a few seconds. He felt that he didn't deserve it in the least. But deserve or not, this was the last time he was going to see Tatiana again. He wasn't going to go off, letting her think he was angry at her. The angle was bad for a full hug, but James leaned his head into her and brought one arm up, his hand finding the warmth of her strong but delicate limbs. He allowed himself the tiniest of comfort from her. And then he began to weep. Openly and hard, an ugly sort of cry that spilled his emotions shamelessly out into the open.

Hugging him a bit tighter, Tatiana let him get it out. Just sitting there, hugging the man she considered an uncle. "You have people vho care. They vouldn't go vith you if they didn't," she said in a quiet voice. She didn't know this Gavin fellow and she wasn't close to Beatrice or Ryan but she knew those two well enough to know they wouldn't do anything in this life if it didn't matter to them. They weren't ones to mince words or actions.

James had fed a wolf today. He fed it with love, and he fed it with violence. James had an abundance of both in his heart, almost to exclusion. The problem was, he had no idea which one he fed that morning. Pulling back slightly, Tatiana gave James the brightest smile she could. "Feed right one. For family, for you." Slipping back she pulled the handle of the door and swung it open as she started to slide out. "Vill see you again, I knov it."

"I hope you right..." It was all he could think to say just then. "I really do. Love you, Tatiana. Stay safe." The last of his tears were receding, which he hastily wiped away with his shirt sleeve. He looked to his axe that Ash had given back to him and methodically reassembled his gun. James still didn't know which wolf he fed within himself, the good or the bad, but his work wasn't finished yet. Love might still motivate the man to help Gavin attempt to destroy the single greatest threat to his former community, but he wasn't sure which canine was getting the steak that day.

All he knew was that at least one of them was going to get nice and fat.

Ash Holloway

Location: Outer Gate

The gate closed behind James's truck, finalizing within Ash his own sense of ethical obligation. It still didn't make him hate himself any less. And though his friend was only just outside of the Outer Gate, the sense of distance between the two seemed palpable. James was officially gone now, whatever else happened in that moment. A passed sentence, act of violence, and a huge metal wall symbolically and physically separated them, and his absence left a hole in the heart of Newnan.

His absence also left a hole in the administration of the Newnan Community. It is precisely this issue to which Ash gave attention.

Before people began to wander back off to their begin or continue their perspective duties, Ash cleared his throat loudly and demanded that attention of the citizenry of Newnan. "...AHEM... As long as I have you all out here, there is another piece of business that needs to be addressed." He gave them a few seconds to quiet whatever murmuring was going on before he proceeded.

"For those of you who have not formally met her," began Ash, motioning to Thana, "This is Dr. Thana Martin, Lieutenant Commander, United States Navy. Her Ph.D. is in Botany, and she has extensive working experience maximizing Agricultural resources with the United Nations. Plus, she comes with a hell of a character reference."

"I have officially appointed Dr. Martin as our new Agricultural Lead. The other leads will give her their support, and the Agricultural staff will show her the same amount of respect and consideration that they showed Mr. Grady during his tenure." He looked to Thana, nodding his certainty and approval at the decision. "She will undoubtedly have different ideas on managing the land and the staff than to which you are all accustomed. Dr. Martin has my full support. She will also have yours. Is that clear?"

Ashton waved noticed looks from among the crowd gathered, heard whispers, and even caught the raised hand or two. "Please hold any questions or comments for now. You'll have an opportunity after I'm done with announcements. Yes, there is more."

"Dr. Bonheur - You have an amazingly full plate. Your duties have tremendous demands on your time, and each one is vital to the success of our community. You have served valiantly a our Medical Lead since your arrival, and have basically founded a school of Applied Medicine out of our main building. Sir, you have contributed much to Newnan, at expense to yourself. It is for these reasons that I relieve you of your position as my Second. Your professional time is better spent with the Hospital and your School. No shame, Froggy. None. As for your personal time: You need to actually have some. Concentrate on medicine, concentrate on teaching."

Ash looked over the crowd of Newnanites, seeking one person in particular. "Jack!" he called. Ash wasn't sure whether to refer to him as Jack Hudson or Newnan, thinking back to their conversation the previous night, so he opted to go for the less formal recitation of his first name only, hoping to catch in later discussion his preference, and if it was situational. "As Security Lead, the safety of our community and the patrol of our walls and grounds are under our direct supervision. Our Security staff is at your command. You would benefit with increased autonomy of action when needed, and the authority to execute any order I pass down the chain. I hereby appoint you as my Second, in addition to your duties as our Security Lead. You now have the authority to make decisions for the community in my absence, and I will rely upon you as my Executive Officer." Not to mention the fact that, as his Second and Security Lead, his combined duties would keep him busier inside of the walls more often than out, providing a more stable family life for his young wife and their coming child. Unless he personally volunteered to do so, his job would keep him close to home.

"I believe that completes new business. Unless there are any relevant questions or comments, please return to your duties."

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

Laying her spear across her lap as she sipped her bitter, black liquid, Thalia gave another look around them. At the corner of an intersection in what used to be a residential area, right up next to a small, neighborhood park. This place must have been the very image of Southern Charm back in its day. Now, the scape was bleak with snow drifts and neglect, possibly recoverable if a dedicated group of survivors were to out in the TLC necessary to make them into homes again. But it wouldn't be her. Thalia had her own plans. Right then, her own plans involved sipping coffee.

Instant coffee wasn't one of the things that would have appealed to Thalia before the world started to eat itself. She was more accustomed to hot and rich arabica blends, expertly brewed and occasionally with a pinch of cinnamon or flavored with dark chocolate. Mostly, she took it black. Or she used to, before. Now, instant coffee crystals were a dream.

God, she was thinking a lot about coffee this morning. It was distracting.

Their guest seemed to be grating against her host, Lola. Not in any huge way, but there was a hint of tension. Thalia herself had her usual suspicions, which given her background, already made her wary of new people. This guy seemed harmless enough, and if he had been on his own for an extended period of time, it would be normal for his social skills to take a little while to reacclimate. "Look guy, you don't know us, we don't know you, and the best we're probably going to do is a neighborly cup of hot water with some fucking distraction dissolved in it." Her eyes narrowed at the man, and she leaned forward a little in her chair, "You seem like an okay guy, though. Tell you what, there's some nice looking houses around here. You want a cup? There's your best option. Bring us back some good, solid coffee mugs, and my hot cocoa is yours. Deal?"

Come to think of it, this place was probably ideal for a quick search. Central location surrounded by houses, it could be a gold mine. But that smoke in the distance, were it indicative of a settlement, might support the possibility that settlers had already picked this place over. Maybe she could find something, Thalia was quite the observant scavenger, but any prize might not be worth the effort. Sending Alexander to score coffee mugs was really more of a litmus test in that regard, but the prize was real. She would fork over that delicious chocolate powder.

Jack Hudson

Location: The Outer Gate

Goodbyes had largely finished up, with Beatrice having nodded to James that she was certain in her choice, as well as biding a farewell to Tiffany. But while everyone else's eyes were one those leaving Newnan forever, Jack's eyes were on his pregnant wife, sitting in the cab of James' truck. He couldn't help but want to protect Tatiana no matter what, with the idea of her leaving the walls making him a little nervous, even if it was just outside. As the gate closed, Jack couldn't help but feel a sense of finality. While he knew Tatiana was talking to James on the other side and that the gate would open again to let her back inside, emotionally, he felt the door shut on this chapter in Newnan's history--a chapter which James was an active part of.

He saw Kris burst into tears, and had Niesha not been comforting the girl, he likely would've hugged Kris as well. Instead, all he could do was walk over towards them, yet respectfully allowing them to have their conversation in private. He'd be there to give Kris a good old bear hug when and if she was ready. He knew that she and Niesha had history between them.

Jack's head snapped over towards Ash's direction when Newnan's Commanding Officer asked for people's attention. While he hadn't gotten to know Commander Martin much at all, having just met her at his wedding last night, he figured they were lucky to have her. One agriculture expert leaves just as another arrives. It was almost too perfect to be just a coincidence. Froggy being relieved as Ash's second came as a bit of a shock for Jack, but at the same time, he was happy for Froggy. The man deserved some free time and relaxation, especially with Froggy slowly getting up there in years.

Hearing his own name called out, though, that wasn't something Jack was expecting. He was too stunned by what Ash said next to even properly register that while the previous two had been addressed by last names and titles, he had gotten just his first name. Jack had never seen himself as a future second of Newnan--there were others in the community that had been there far longer than he had, after all. But if Ash wanted him to do the job, he'd do it. He nodded curtly at Ash in acknowledgement of his new role.

Gavin, Ryan, and Beatrice

Location: Just Outside of Newnan

Beatrice raised an eyebrow, half tempted to time Gavin's speech. She couldn't remember the last time someone had introduced themselves quite like that, listing off everything they enjoyed and rambling on and on about it. She didn't see quite the need to explicitly state facts about a person in order to get to know them--in her experience, all you had to do was watch them for a little while. You'd learn everything there was to know about them quickly enough.

Chuckling a bit at Ryan's joke, her chuckle then died, killed by Gavin's overreaction. She shared a bit of a look with Ryan before deciding she might as well mess with the man some. It was something she used to do all of the time when she met new people. Ryan knew that look all too well ad just rested his head back as she took another puff from his cigarette. This should be one hell of a show.

"Well, my name is Beatrice, though I prefer to be called Trixie," Beatrice began, her voice as even and steady as always. "I love long, sweet, and romantic walks through nuclear plants. My father was the inventor of Toaster Strudel and my mother was the inspiration for Princess Peach in the Mario games."

Biting the inside of his cheek to keep from sniggering Ryan looked over towards Gavin to see the mans reaction. He looked at her oddly for a moment, tilting his head to the side as a confused dog would if you weren't going to give him a treat and just kept saying stay. "Well damn darlin', that is one hell of a tall tale. Mes personally, I'm a poptart man, loves me the strawberry ones. No icing though. So tells me, was it your aunt or you that was the inspiration for Princess Daisy with that pretty brunette hair of yours?" he ask as he grinned at her.

Nothing seemed to bother this man, from what Beatrice could tell. Even the slight pause wasn't enough to knock him out of his good move. "Actually, that's really offensive. My aunt was the Black Dahlia. This is her hair, I glued it onto my head to remember her by," Beatrice said, hardly blinking. "The real inspiration for Princess Daisy was James. You should ask him about it. He loves attention."

Leaning forward a bit, Gavin seemed to be scrutinizing her hair for a moment. "Damn, never would have guessed. Now are those hair plugs or a weave?" he asked in all seriousness. This made Ryan nearly choke on his cigarette smoke as he covered his mouth and tried not to laugh.

Beatrice couldn't tell if the man seriously believed what she was saying or not anymore. Either way, he seemed to be matching her quips with each step, with Ryan seemingly having trouble controlling himself. "Neither. It's held in by horse glue and staples previously used in Romanian torture chambers to interrogate political prisoners." She didn't move her face at all, though she glanced at Ryan from the corner of her eye, wondering when the man would finally lose it.

Ryan rolled his bottom lip in and bite down hard, he could feel his eyes watering and coughed back a laugh slightly; enough to make it feel like his eyes were going to pop out of his head. Gavin though was having a very serious conversation. "Torture chambers in Romania? Sweet Jesus, think that was one of Vlad The Impalers ideaers or ya figures that was one of his followers that came up withs that?"

"One of his followers, definitely," Beatrice began, before lowering her voice to a whisper, yet still loud enough for Ryan and Gavin to hear. "I uncovered documents before that implicate Ronald McDonald as being one of Vlad's top advisors. That's where the money to launch McDonalds came from--Romania's torture chambers. Those nuggets? They're what started the outbreak."

Gavin leaned in some, rubbing his mustache a bit before pulling on the hairs of his goatee. He looked around a bit which made Ryan raise an eyebrow. These two were pure entertainment right then but he had to wonder just how serious Gavin was taking this entire conversation. "Well you sees I heard it was Wolverine that was the cause of the outbreak. Them X-men were mutants with superpowers, that was just one of them government coverups. They known about this outbreak long befores it went global. They's were just trying to keep our attention elsewheres but then someone ordered Chinese Take-Out and a fortune cookie fell into a sample of one of them mutants blood. It got out some hows and mixed in with some soft serve from Dairy's Queen. Them Blizzards are what caused this shit."

That was weird enough to break even Beatrice's façade, as she raised an eyebrow at the Texas Ranger. Did he actually believe this sort of bullshit? If he did, he wasn't any better than those girls who ran around California gushing about how they were a Gemini in search of a Taurus. "You're one of them, aren't you? You're a mutant. No one else could've known that," Beatrice then said dryly. She didn't know too much about the X-Men, but she had a foster brother who had been obsessed with them. Just enough for her to recognize a few of the names and get close to remembering the powers.

Gavin leaned back and smirked a bit, his lip curling at the corner of his mouth. "Now's what goods would its do me to tell ya if I was?" he asked before looking over at Ryan. "Cans a country boy gets a light?" he asked. Ryan was having a hard time not laughing at this point as he tossed the man a book of half used matches. Gavin caught it and lit up the cigarette. "Much obliged partner," he said as he took a puff and tossed them back but Ryan was took busy snickering to catch it, letting it land in his lap. Exhaling a puff of smoke Gavin grinned back over to Beatrice. "Wes keeps this up, old Mr. James there is gonna fit us for tin foil hats," he laughed.

Beatrice smirked a bit, hoping that she'd at least be lucky enough to not get smoke blowing in her eyes. She had gotten enough of that growing up. "I think Ryan would be more likely to have a stroke first," Beatrice countered, knowing that the man was barely able to contain himself.

"If he does, I ain't givin' him mouth to mouth," Gavin chuckle.

"Thank god," Ryan laughed as he tried to get a hold of his chuckling and wiped the tears from his eyes. This was going to be one hell of a group to be out int he world with. Though the fact Gavin was basically a cop, it could make things complicated.

She paused for a moment, figuring a real introduction was probably needed at this point. "Name actually is Beatrice--call me Trixie and I'll kill you. I was a process server in Justice, did a lot of freelance work as well."

"Good, last Trixie I knew should have been a star in The Best Little Whore House In Texas. Onlys others one I knew of was that dog in Lady and the Tramp...He's a tramp but they loves him, breaks a new heart every day. He's a tramp, theys adore him but I only hopes he stays that way.""

Ryan lost it, his cigarette flying out of his mouth and into the snow at the side of the truck. It was ruined but he didn't seem to care right then, he was just holding his sides. "Fucking Christ, we got Disney Radio traveling with us."

"If he sings any romance songs, cut my ears off," Beatrice said to Ryan in all seriousness, though there was the slightest hint of amusement on her face. Trixie was a whore's name and Gavin wasn't wrong about that. There was a reason she rarely went by it.

Chloe Ridgeway

Location: The Outer Gate

Chloe rubbed her sister's back gently as Riley pulled Amelia into a tight hug. She knew that Riley just wanted to comfort her girlfriend, but Chloe knew her sister was likely in pain as well. Focusing on someone else's pain helped Chloe to repress her own, at any rate. The less time she had to think about the asshat Romeo abandoning her, the better. Kris had the waterworks going as well, currently wrapped into a similarly tight hug with Niesha, with Froggy and Jack standing nearby.

Chloe glanced at Froggy for a moment. "Yeah, I'm free. Whatever you need," Chloe replied to Meg. She doubted that Froggy would have anything for her to do and if he did, he certainly wouldn't trust her with it. She was more than a little frustrated with her current work assignment. Dick's actions dictated how Froggy treated her. Froggy didn't trust her in medical by herself because he couldn't trust Dick in medical by himself. And by that logic, James might as well have put a bullet in her brain as well.

Yeah, she wasn't happy at all with her work assignment.

She listened to Ash's speech, hearing that the Botany Brain Child Wonder, a.k.a. Commander Martin, would be taking over for James. The news didn't impact Chloe that much at all, but she did feel glad that Kris wasn't going to have that weight put on her shoulders just yet. She had to try hard not to roll her eyes when Ash mentioned Froggy's achievements. Yeah, Chloe knew that Froggy was accomplished and deserved respect--but at that moment in time, she couldn't give a damn. The happy-go-lucky Bostonian taking over as second didn't strike her as unusual at all.

"What do you need help with?" Chloe asked Meg, once Ash had dismissed everyone.

Ravi Chakrabarti

Location: The Outer Gate

Ravi felt a little awkward as the sentence was carried out and Ash announced the new positions in Newnan. While he had been sentimental in giving Gavin his green card, he also knew that the man was practically impossible to kill. Deep down, he believed that he'd see Gavin again--that the man would come back to Newnan. And if he didn't....Well, Ravi would find his way. He had recovered after getting separated from Major and Clive. He could do it again.

Ravi walked over towards Miss Sally, standing next to her and trying to be out of the way at the same time. He still hadn't been cleared by security just yet and since Miss Sally had taken him earlier, he figured that sticking next to her was the closest thing to protocol he had. However, he did of course enjoy listening to bits of Ash's speech--the knowledge that they basically had a school here for medicine was impressive. He hadn't ever seen a settlement quite like this before. In so many ways, it reminded him of the world before this tragedy--but in many others, it was entirely alien to that previous world.

"So do I...do I just follow you around then, Miss Sally?" Ravi asked.

Amelia Payne

Location: Outer Gate

Amelia couldn't believe it. It felt so bad... she had kept away from people because she was shy and because she knew that separation would hurt. She didn't want to lose close friends or even loved ones, since she knew how easy it was that to happen in this world, but this place had sneaked around her caution and she made friends without even minding it. Now this happened. She felt herself in Riley's arms as the other pulled her into a hug. The tears didn't stop though.

She didn't even realize when Meg walked over. Amelia had hard time focusing on things since she couldn't stop her tears still, her sadness was overpowering her desire to hide away somewhere as Riley's presence was one of the few things still making her mostly keep alright. She feared if she was alone she'd just crumble in a corner right now.

Well then Ash started barking out the new order of things and everything completely turned into a mess in her head. Her crying slowed and she stopped shedding tears, just letting the occasional sob, still in Riley's hands as she was trying to sort her thoughts out and prevent from bursting in tears again. What Ashton was saying was important, but she was barely able to hear any. Still she did get that Thana was the new agri lead, Froggy was relieved as Second and replaced with Jack. So far so good. It was lucky though that Thana had arrived in good terms and things were very fair about everything, because right now in Amelia's mind she could see how this could have devolved into a book story plot... Even the mere thought of it, made her glad that was not actually the case.

“Could I help as well?” Amelia finally said quietly to Meg who was requesting Chloe's aid.” I need to work... do something... I need to be busy.” She wanted to put her mind into something. Just focus on a task for the moment, keep thought process away from the reality even only for the daytime.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: The Outer Gate

Riley continued to gently run her hand up and down Amelia's back soothingly as she let her girlfriend cry in her arms, knowing that feeling that they probably would never see each other again. "It's going to be fine Amelia.." Riley said softly and looked over towards Chloe feeling her sister's hand on her back and gave her a soft smile, and nod grateful for the comfort from her sister. Riley's attention then turned directly towards Ashton, the news that Commander Martin was now going to be the new agricultural lead. Riley didn't know a thing about the woman, but it wasn't her position to complain it was Captain Tight Ass's decision to have her be the new lead in James' place.

Then Ashton's second announcement was to give Froggy some more free time, and then promoted Jack to be Newnan's second in command, she was good friends with him. And Riley did approve, Jack seemed to be a good guy and had the necessary skills to be Newnan's new second she would have to congratulate him on that later.

Then Amelia asked Meg if she could help, she sort of had a feeling that it would have to do something with putting the bodies of Sana, Bryn and Dick to rest. "I have to go and start rearranging some stuff training scheduling wise, so i'll be fine." Riley said as she gave Amelia a kiss on the head. "See you guys for dinner later?" Riley asked looking between the three of them.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: The Outer Wall

Raymond turned his attention towards Ashton when he made the announcement that Thana is going to be replacing James as the new leader of agriculture. From her former occupation before the outbreak seemed to fit well with her skill set, but other then that Ray didn't know her all that well. But Ray didn't mind the change in command structure either, then Froggy was going to be removed as second to be replaced with Jack. Ray looked over towards Jack and gave him a friendly nod, he would be a good choice in that, as he looked towards Niesha and Kristina.

Kris seemed to be taking the exiling of James pretty hard, just as Amelia was, if Tatiana needed some help with getting some time to talk to the others he would take them aside and see if they were alright. "Seems like we have Dr. Martin as our new agricultural lead." Raymond said looking at Tiffany, as he wondered what her thoughts were in the sudden changes.

Kristina Smith

Location: Outer Wall

Kristina looked up at Niesha, though it was tempting to go and be with James she had her family here, and she was tired of running and fighting for survival on a daily basis. She knew it was most likely wishful thinking, but maybe she would actually see James again someday or maybe even on a run whenever she would be assigned to a run next time. "I'm tired of just running, I have to many friends here i'm attached to.. Maybe things will change and James could come back." Kristina said in a shaky voice, she whipped away a few tears as she turned to look over at Ashton as he started to make an announcement while everyone was here.

Her eyes wondered over towards Thana who was now promoted as a new agricultural lead, looks like she would be working under her from now on. Kristina ran a hand through her hair and wiped at her nose and eyes, she was still going to really miss James biting her lower lip as she wished he and the others will be alright out there. Then Ashton started to change more of the leadership as he told Froggy to focus more on medicine, and the school. Then promoting Jack as Newnan's newest second in command as she looked over towards Jack and gave him a slight smile, she was happy for him and knew that he would do a great job at it.

Meghna Kumar

Location: Outer Wall

Meghna turned her attention towards Ashton as he addressed the rest of Newnan while they were all gathered in one place, she looked over towards Kristina for a moment as he made Thana the new agriculture lead. She was sure that Thana would do a good job there as she then gave Jack second in command. Froggy was going to focus more on schooling as well as being the medical lead. She was happy for them, when Chloe and Amelia asked what it was that they needed, she bit her lower lip for a moment wondering how to exactly say it.

"If you guys are up for it, we need to put the bodies of Sana, Bryn and Dick to rest. The ground is still most likely frozen and will be muddy, if I did it by myself it would take long into the night alone." Meghna said softly, as she looked around the other people once the announcement was done and everyone was going to go about their duties for the day. Meghna turned to look over at Riley and gave her a friendly smile and nod. "Sure i'll see you later." Meg said.

Tiffany Lyle

Outer Gate

She hated goodbyes, but they were a fact of life. Ray was probably right, they would be fine if they had each other. Still, she was worried. The world was a dark place now and even having people to watch your back wasn't always the safest. She stood and listened as Ash made his speech. It seemed that Thana would be the new Agricultural lead. She really had no feelings on that one way or another. She didn't work for Agriculture and if the woman could do some good there, more power to her. "Yep, seems so. Hope she does a good job." She had no opinion of the new arrival at this point. She would have to get to know her a bit better when there was time.

Ash also mentioned that Froggy would be relieved. That was a good thing, at least. She hadn't known Froggy long, but she gathered he was a hard worker and one that worked tirelessly. Jack was promoted which was also a good thing. She liked Jack and knew if James couldn't be Ash's back-up, Jack was the next best thing.

When the announcements were done, Meg came over and asked her for help. "I have no other plans. I can help if needed." She wasn't sure what exactly was needed for Domestic at this point, but surely it was important if Meg was asking for help from other people. When Meg told them what it entailed, she was a it reluctant to offer her support, but it was needed. "Sure, I'll help. We'll get it done quickly in no time." She offered a warm smile, though her insides were playing around. She didn't relish the thought of seeing their bodies one last time. Still, it had to be done and she would rather not let Meg do it alone.

"Not many options these days pops. Living or dying really isn't even an option these days mate. Just luck of the draw," the Kiwi said as she sat there. "any second and its pa-pa-pa-pow! Your dinner for some wandering dead head and I'm talking about the fuzzy teddy bear tyed tyed type either. Though if you did one across a dread head that was a former dead head, what would that be? Double Dead Head? Double Dead Head Deads? Dreads Heads?" she pondered out loud before chuckling an slapping her own knee. "Peace, Love and Brains!" she cackled before she popped the gum from her MRE into her mouth and started chomping.

Looking over to Thalia, it seemed she had an option or two for the old man. Pretty damn good idea too. She could see it now. A proper tea set up right here on the back of her tank, complete with lace doilies and a tea cozy. They could have a right proper and brilliant time. Maybe they could scrounge up some earl gray and some biscuits. No, even better... crumpets! "Oh hell yeah, a nice tea set! Crumpets and tea? Tasty! Everyone in favor of Crumpets and Tea say aye!" she exclaimed as she threw a hand up in the air and gave her personal vote. "Aye!"

Thana Martin

Location: Outer Gate

Thana stood there in silence as Ash made his announcement. She hadn't expected him to go ahead and tell everyone that she was going to be taking over as Agricultural Lead. He had told her he was going to announce it during the evening meal. It wasn't even lunch yet. She was sure he had his reasons but she was going to confront him later on in private about this. She didn't appreciate being blind sided and the amount of looks and whispers she was getting in the crowd. The Lt. Commander had hoped to get to look around agriculture, get to meet a few of the people first, talk to them, etc. She hadn't had the chance for any of that yet.

Froggy looked at Ash, a bit surprised by the change but he nodded and thanked Ash briefly for it. It would mean more time to deal with medicine and less time to have to worry about everything else. With his heart condition, it was probably for the best and he thought highly of Jack. The change was a good one in his eyes. Especially now that he needed to help Niesha learn about prenatal care and delivery, as well as minor surgery in case Tatiana needed a C-Section. It was a lot to take on for both of them. The less things they needed to worry about the better.

Once Ash finished, Thana took the chance to step forward. "I will meet with everyone with Agricultural duties tomorrow morning promptly at O-Seven-Hundred Hours," she said loud enough to be heard by those there in the group. "This includes greenhouse and medical gardens." She figured that would give enough time to for the change to sink in and get the word out to anyone that was not there to say goodbye to James.

"Actually, speaking of medical," Miss Sally said to Ravi. "Need to introduce you to Ash and Froggy now," she added as she patted the man on the back.

"I should check on the stores now. Any keys, schedules, etc I will need post haste Captain," Thana said before dismissing herself and turning on her heels. Glancing around she started towards the fields. She wanted to check to conditions and such. It was something she was going to start tomorrow but no time like the present. The announcement had been made, so she was on the clock officially when it came to agriculture in this town.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: Cab of the Truck -> Inside Outer Gate

Tatiana smiled over to James. "You too. Stay alive, vill have to meet your name sake one day," she said as she patted her belly before stepping over to the back of the truck and looking at the three of them sitting there. She wasn't even going to ask what was with the laughing and looks. "Take care of each other," she added before heading over to the gate. Jim had been keeping watch and he didn't even have to be told to open the gate. It was already half way open for her to walk through as she got to it.

Thanking Jim as she stepped inside and the gate closed behind her she looked for Jack. Wondering what was going on with all the whispering and looks towards Thana. Something must have happened while she was outside. She had figured she would have been out there longer than she had but her and James had spoke quickly and gotten out everything she felt he was going to say. She had a feeling he was still holding back and she wasn't sure James wasn't a threat to himself but she felt confidant that he wasn't a threat to Newnan. That was the most she could hope for but she still was going to speak with Ash.

"Need speak with you Ash, privately. Then Froggy as second, then the rest of the leads down the line to start," she said, totally unaware that her husband was now the second in Newnan. Hobbling over to Jack, she flopped down into the wheel chair and smiled over to him, sadly as it was.

Miss Sally lead Ravi over to Froggy and Ash. "Hey, before you two head out. This is Ravi, he came in with that cowboy. Seems he is staying, thought you two would want to get to know him. Ash, he hasn't had an interview yet but he has my vote already. Froggy, seems this bloke has some medical experience," she said brightly. She had come to like Ravi in the short time they had spent together but that was a given. He was british. It was nice to hear a familiar accent.

Sighing to herself, Miss Sally, pushed her hair from her face with a shaky hand. She wasn't feeling too chipper right then and her face went pale. "Oh bollocks," she managed to get out as she grabbed her chest.

Gavin & Ryan

Location: Back of the Truck

"Could always staple new ones on," Gavin chuckled before looking over at Tatiana as she came over to the back of the truck. He just smiled over to her as she told them to look after each other. He figured it was directed towards Beatrice and Ryan so he just nodded. Ryan smirked a bit over to Tatiana, only catching the last part of the conversation as she had stepped out of the truck. Seemed the little bird was pregnant.

He just laughed to himself, a baby? These days? Oh he was so glad he wasn't going to be around to deal with that shit. Once Tatiana was back inside the gate he looked over towards Beatrice. "Aww, Ozzie and Harriet are having a little Beaver," he said rolling his eyes before balling up his fist and hitting the window behind his head. "Alright, let's roll and get the fuck out of here," he said.

Gavin eyed him for a minute before climbing out of the bed of the truck and into the front cab. Looking over at James he gave the man a broad smile. "Them two be all shits and giggles. Gonna be a right entertaining time with them arounds," he said before closing the cab door and getting comfortable. "Guess Irish be right thoughs, might as well rolls out. Find a place to talks to them about shit once wes aways from these walls."

Niesha

Location gate

Niesha waited for Kristina to respond, a little fearful of the answer, although she’d support Kristina’s decision either way, even if it meant she’d lose her. As Kristina said that she was tired of running, and that she’d stay, Niesha couldn’t help the wave of relief that washed over her, and she closed her eyes tightly a moment, before opening them again, giving Kristina a nod, thinking that she understood, but… Kristina was well-liked in the community, and had a good place here. Niesha just mostly stuck to her routines. She sighed softly, not trusting herself to speak, listening as Ashton made his announcements, and thinking on Kristina’s words.

Would James ever be allowed back into the community? It didn’t seem likely with Ashton as the leader, although she supposed nothing was impossible, these days. People survived when it didn’t seem impossible. Yet Niesha knew that Ashton had to think about the community’s best interests… but why did it feel like this wasn’t it? Maybe Niesha just couldn’t see the big picture.

As the announcements were played out, Niesha didn’t think much on them. Jack had become a valued member of the community, and with the way things were, Froggy needed to focus on making sure there were enough people with medical knowledge. Doctors were few and far between. Which reminded her of learning to be a midwife. Was there anything more frightening then that?

There was a lot that was changing however, something Niesha had had to become use to, over the last few months, but she still wished it didn’t have to change quite so much. She stood a moment, glancing about, before she looked to Kristina agan, ”I guess that’s that, then” she said softly, wondering what they were going to do now, glancing away once more, seeing Miss Sally leading someone over to Froggy and Ashton, watching for a second, before looking away, but movement caught her eye, causing her to glance back, as Miss Sally clutched her chest.

Not that strange really, it had been a trying day for all of them, and her gaze slid over to Tatiana, pleased when she sat down in the wheelchair, glad she was getting off her foot. Frowning suddenly, she looked back towards Miss Sally and the others gathered there, saying almost stupidly, the realisation dawning on her, ”Is she having a heart attack?” She recognised shock in her voice, ,and uncertainity.

Alexander Polawski

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

Alexander looked at Thalia, then at Lola and back to Thalia for a few moments. He had to let it sink it what they were asking him to do in order to get their trust. Well really it was the MRE-cocco that was the carrot hung in front of him, but completing it was perhaps a way to show that he was willing to give something back. Even if it was just to go and find a tea-set. "Really?" was his initial response, taking another sip of his wonderful plastic bag of coffee. But quickly he drank the rest of his instant-coffee, folded the plastic into his pocket, and jumped off the tank.

"Roger that, Sergeant. Thalia. And here, if you want to get hold of me without having to shout. I'll be coming back for it, just so you know." Alexander said to both of them as he pulled up the spare walkie-talkie he had carried around, checking the batteries and tuning it to the same frequency as his personal radio before handing it to either of them. It couldn't hurt to be on the safe side, right? So with his fire axe in his hand, he walked off.

He couldn't believe that he was doing this; going on a search for cups and tea-sets in order to gain a small bag of chocolate, and more hopefully their trust. And of course it was the ones with the tank that told him that. It reminded him all too much of the tankers who made the grunts do the dirty work, while themselves sat back and listened to the radio. And just like back then, all he could do was to accept the order and complete it. The world didn't seem to change.

He decided to check out the house that had given him the sudden urge for a cup of coffee. It could have been a sign, for had he not just then gotten that coffee he wished for? As he trodded through the snowy path he had left, he looked back to where the Stuart was meant to be. Hidden behind a large pile of snow, he wasn't surprised that he hadn't seen it. He turned back to the building he was about to search, looking through the frosted windows. It was difficult to see anything, partly because of the darkness inside. Just his luck. It was only one way in then; Alexander walked over to the door, and tried to open it.

Jack Hudson

Location: The Outer Gate

Jack appreciated the smiles and nods he caught from some of his friends. It was better than the alternative of death glares, though he really doubted that would happen. He'd try his best to serve Newnan well, just as he had always done. He just hoped that he really was the right man for the job, but he trusted Ash. Ash wouldn't make a decision like this lightly or without careful thought. He listened to Commander Martin's announcement attentively, despite not having any involvement with agriculture. It was the respectful thing to do, as far as Jack was concerned.

But of course, once Tatiana hobbled in through the gate, she had all of his attention. He frowned as she went to Ash first, rather than coming and sitting down in the wheelchair. She really needed to stay off of that foot. But considering the circumstances, and of course the fact that he was deeply and madly in love with her, it wasn't like Jack was going to chew her out about it. No, if she didn't come and sit in the wheelchair after she was done talking with Ash, he'd come over and scoop her up into his arms himself.

Fortunately, she did just that a minute later. He had caught brief snatches of what she had said to Ash and it brought a bit of a smile to his face. He couldn't help but imagine Tatiana would flip out when she found out her hubby had just been named second and that Froggy would finally get the time to relax that he deserved. In fact, he was about to tell his wife about the announcements she missed when Jack heard Niesha's uncertain voice.

Heart attack? Who? Jack searched the crowd before his eyes landed on Miss Sally. All of the color drained from his face as well. Froggy and Ash were right next to her, which was good, but Jack (as always) wanted desperately to help. But he wasn't medical and he certainly wasn't in charge of medical. He'd only get in the way. "This can't be happenin'..." Jack said numbly, his eyes widened with fear for Miss Sally's life.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Just Outside of Newnan

Beatrice could've cheered when Tatiana left without interrogating Ryan, Gavin, and herself about their feelings as well. They had successfully escaped mandated therapy, as it seemed. She smirked slightly at Gavin's comment about her ears, a wicked idea coming to mind. "Of course. We'll use your ears, obviously, and then you can have mine once they've been removed," Beatrice agreed.

As Ryan mentioned Jack and Tatiana having a baby, Beatrice shuddered slightly. They had lucked out, then, by deciding to leave Newnan. If the two of them were disgustingly happy before, she figured they would be vomiting romance and rainbows and happiness by now. It'd be enough to kill Beatrice. She couldn't help but wish Ryan would've banged on the window a little harder. The sooner they got away from Newnan, the better.

"He's insane," Beatrice said quietly, once Gavin was up in the cab with James. "This'll be fun." She then grinned, perhaps the largest smile she had done in years. The muscles in her face actually ached a bit from it, never experiencing that type of use before. And of course, it looked unnatural on Beatrice. Her facial expressions were usually slight and muted. Anything else was just...wrong.

Chloe Ridgeway

Location: The Outer Gate

Chloe nodded as Riley asked if they'd be at dinner later. Not everyone would be able to drop everything to help Meg, it was just common sense. And of course, not everyone would be up to it. Somehow, some people were still a little squeamish when it came to corpses, Chloe imagined. Especially if the corpses were those of people you had known, people you had talked with just the day before. "Sure, I'm in," Chloe agreed, a bit irritated that Tiffany would be joining as well.

She was blowing off going back to medical that day in order to get away from people who judged her, not to go work with people who judged her. She doubted the day would ever come that Tiffany would be able to look past Chloe's criminal record and see that she was just a person. But even if that day came, Chloe knew that she wouldn't want to be friends with her. She held grudges.

Thana's announcement elicited a sigh from Chloe. She was technically assigned to the medical garden, but she wasn't even on the access list for it. Ash, Froggy, Sid, and Niesha were the only ones authorized for it. As far as Chloe was concerned, that was just another manifestation of the way people in Newnan didn't trust her. For a split second, she regretted not leaving with Ryan. But she couldn't just willingly abandon Riley. The only way she would willingly leave her sister behind would be if Riley was safer without her.

"Fuck," Chloe cursed, once Niesha's question drew her attention to Miss Sally as well. Froggy might want her help with it, but then again, she figured that he'd ask Niesha to help him. She was his star student, after all. But either way, she couldn't just blow off medical now to go and help Meg. "Might need a bit of a rain check on corpse duty," Chloe said to Meg quickly, before hurrying over towards Froggy, Miss Sally, Ash, and Ravi.

Ravi Chakrabarti

Location: The Outer Gate

Ravi listened politely to the various announcements that were being made. The mention of a medical garden gave him a fond wave of nostalgia for Seattle. People had been campaigning to grow weed in medical gardens for ages, with there being even some talk of legalizing the drug recreationally. Of course, it never came to much. But as Miss Sally pulled his attention away from days long passed, Ravi nodded and followed her over towards Froggy and Ash. He listened to her praise with a bit of embarrassment, his cheeks flushing.

Part of him wondered what the interview would entail. If they asked him about his termination from the CDC, would they not let him help out with medical? It was what he had been doing for so long and he couldn't honestly imagine doing anything else. He had steady hands and a passion for medicine--of course, forensic pathology was his favorite area, but it wasn't in much need anymore. Murders still happened but the justice system had changed considerably.

As Miss Sally went pale and cursed, Ravi's eyes widened with alarm and he reached out to steady her, nodding as he heard someone ask if she was having a heart attack. He just hoped it wasn't a widow maker. Those ones were the worst--the first symptom was the heart attack that killed you. "She's having a heart attack. We need to get her stabilized." Ravi then looked towards Froggy. He didn't want to step on toes, but Miss Sally's life was in danger. They would need a stretcher or a wheelchair, as well as to quickly take her to wherever medical was set up. It was likely she'd need surgery, as far as Ravi was concerned.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: The Outer Gate

Riley looked between Meg, Tiffany and Chloe as they were going to be doing some corpse digging for their recently fallen community members, she cringed ever so slightly having to see the bodies of her friend Sana she'd probably end up passing on that. When she turned her attention towards Thana, the woman seemed to be quickly taking charge over agriculture already. But she'd know that her sister worked in the medical garden, but she was always on constant supervision when on that duty, and wondered how things would turn out for her sister working under Thana.

Riley then watched as Ms. Sally and the new guy from the night before making their way towards Ashton and Froggy, assuming that he was still needed for an interview. Then things suddenly turned for the worse again, for Ms. Sally that is, seeing the elderly woman's color going pale and clutching her chest. Riley wasn't a medical expert at all, but from movies and tv shows she'd seen clutching the chest always looked to be what would be a cause for a heart attack.

"Please be careful Chloe." Riley said as watched Chloe quickly turned around and made her way over towards the group, she hoped that Ms. Sally was alright and hoped that she wouldn't turn if someone was going to try CPR on them. Riley looked towards Amelia for a moment hugging her tightly as she took a few steps closer but far away from the group so that she wasn't in the way of anyone, she was mainly keeping an eye out on her sister and Ms. Sally.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: The Outer Wall

Raymond turned to look over at Tiffany as Meg asked for help to burry the bodies of their friends, he gave her a slight friendly nod he was going to be fine probably would have to go to the shop and see what needs fixing there anyway. "See you later then love?" Raymond asked as he watched Thana quickly taking charge of agriculture already. And told anyone who worked medical garden or the fields to report to her tomorrow. Raymond was about to turn and head off towards the shop and see what needs to be done over there as he caught movement in the corner of his eye. It was Ms. Sally and the new guy from the night before, she saw then that the elderly woman holding her chest and instantly looked concerned.

Raymond remained pretty still as he watched the scene unfold the medical staff that was there quickly making their way towards her, he wasn't a medical staff and chose to keep his distance from everything that would go on figuring that they needed some space. Raymond looked over towards Jack and Tatiana for a moment, to see what the two of them would do, doing his best to try and think positively and hoped that things would be okay for the elderly woman.

Kristina Smith

Location: Outer Wall

Kristina looked up at Niesha for a moment and gave her a sad smile, she was glad that she had friends and people that she considered family here. She turned her attention over towards Thana as she instantly took charge, she'd probably would go over and try and get to know her new boss as soon a possible. "I guess I should go and get to know her now. I'll see you later Niesha, and thank you." Kristina said softly as she started to follow shortly behind, she looked back towards the group for a moment and continued on her way to catch up to Thana.

As Kristina finally caught up, to her she was far enough away to not see what was actually going on in the group as she looked at the woman before speaking up. "Hey there, my name is Kristina. I guess i'll be working with you from now on." She said as she introduced herself to Thana, she wasn't sure what changes Thana will be doing for the fields and the care for the livestock as well. She was always used to James' teaching since she had been apart of Newnan. "Is there anything that I can do to help out at the moment?" Kristina asked.

Meghna Kumar

Location: Outer Wall

Meghna let out a slight sigh of relief that she was actually going to be getting some help with putting their friends to rest, the snow was going to be a major pain to get through and the mud as well. "Thank you." She said towards Chloe as well as Tiffany, and Amelia as well if she was still willing to do that if she was still up for it. Then Thana quickly went to take charge already the woman was on the clock with everything. Running a hand through her hair, letting out a slight sigh as she looked around at everyone as her eyes spotted the new guy and Ms. Sally.

Then things got worse yet again as she took a step forward as she saw Ms. Sally starting to look rather ill, then clutching her chest her eyes started to go wide as she wasn't sure what was going on. If it was a heart attack she hoped that she was going to be alright, as Chloe said she'd have to do a rain check. Meg gave her friend a quick nod as she watched Chloe, and the other medical staff started to approach.

Ash Holloway

Location: Outer Gate -> Headed North

"No." growled Ash, darting out to grab Miss Sally as gently as he dared. She was a tough old bird, but obviously in a bad spot just then. He listened to the new guy, just introduced by Sally as Ravi, a medical professional. Heart attack. Nope. Sally was the soul and conscience of Newnan. She was its spirit animal. The passion and resiliency of the town and its people were reflected in her no-nonsense attitude and willingness to laugh and live. No way in hell Ash was going to stand by and gawk while she was betrayed by her own heart.

Ash remembered the last time someone fell victim to a heart condition. It was right in front of him then, too.

He quickly but carefully gathered Sally up in his arms and started back up the street for the Inner Wall. "Jack! Get us a truck or cart or something down here immediately, see if we cant get it to beat me to the Inner Wall." He was still moving, not quite a jog but more than a walk. He continued addressing his people as if they were keeping up, very much hoping that they were. "Froggy! You're my guy today. Go on ahead and get Medical prepped. Take the new guy with you." Ash turned his head a split second to locate the other Brit in town. "Ravi, right? Ok, Ravi, this is the first part of your interview. Dr. Bonheur is a surgeon; you're going to assist him."

Very vaguely, he remembered that Tatiana wanted to speak with him later. It was pushed to the back of his mind almost immediately, but resurfaced almost in spite of the emergency literally in his arms.

Ash tried his damnedest to cradle Miss Sally in such a way as to support her head. "Come on, Sally. You've got this. Just hang on, we've got you."

Black James(!)

Location: Outer Gate -> Headed South

James had removed the vast majority of emotion from his face before Gavin settled into the chair next to him. He looked back, noting that the other two had decided to stick to the back of the truck rather then avail themselves of the seating inside; it didn't have the full legroom of a true crew cab, but it was a hell of a lot more comfortable than the truck bed. If they happened to catch a look at James and Tatiana's session of cathartic ugly crying, it was perhaps understandable that they would prefer some distance for a while.

"Yeah, they's loads entertainin'." responded James, his thoughts not really with the conversation. He was still thinking about the proclamation from Jack, that their child would bear his name. When Gavin mentioned a place for them to talk, the smallest look of purposeful motivation flashed across James's face. He shifted his truck into gear. "Hells yeah, we gots to find a place to talk. I know a spot, 'bout six mile south o' here. Everything we gonna need, too." he breathed a silent "thank you" to Ash, and pulled his truck away from the main gate of Newnan. Longingly, James looked into the rearview mirror. Yeah, he hoped he would see these people again. Just for now, he would take the extra step to make sure they were safe.

All those in favor of Crumpets and Tea? "Aye!" called Thalia, almost exactly at the same time as Lola, and almost immediately hating herself for it. In the couple of months that she had been in Lola's company, Thalia had come to realize that the strange woman was rubbing off on her, at least while in her presence. She had a way of enjoying the little things, oftentimes in the most ass way possible. But her flippant attitude about everything was liable to get her killed one of these days. Thalia did not want to pick up her bad habits. As much as she wanted to blame someone else, the fact remained that she did, in verifiable fact, likewise immediately vote for Crumpets & Tea. The realization manifested physically by means of a double-facepalm.

Blowing out her breath in a single, large sigh, Thalia took her hands from her face. "Boston, remember? We had that big Tea Pahty, yah? Didn't go real good for the tea." Not that she'd turn down a cup of chamomile if it was put in front of her, but she was really more of a coffee girl. "Better chance of finding mugs anyway, Lolz. Tea set is painful impractical..." She just let the sentence die there. Lola was ever the unencumbered free spirit whose style was the drunken opposite of Feng Shui. Thalia was the direct survivalist. The two just weren't going to agree as it came to decor. But, this wasn't her tank. If Alexander felt the need to, and was capable of, locating a tea set, more power to him. Her deal was for coffee mugs, simple and easy.

The moment that Alexander extended his radio, Thalia snatched it up. For no other reason, she figured that she would be the least likely to use it. If the old man was close to trouble, the last thing he would need was unnecessary radio chatter. As he began his approach to the nearby house, Thalia gave the area a scan, then took the opportunity to dig into her MRE proper. It seemed a little inappropriate, eating in front of some guy they had just offered their extra beverages. But the moment he was outside of the decibel range of tearing plastic, Thalia began to enjoy the savory pleasures of Chili, plus Mac & Cheese, together.

Amelia Payne

Location: Outer Gate

“Alright, Riley.” Amelia had replied to her new... ehh girlfriend? She still couldn't completely accept the fact, but it was nice to know.” Take care of yourself, okey?” Were her last words towards the singer before the other vanished.

That said the task that Meg needed help with was something rather hard to deal with in Amelia's mind. She had wanted to avoid thinking about what had transpired, but she now... couldn't. There was no way she wouldn't help with the final moments upon this world of her friend and Bryn.. plus Dick who frankly didn't deserve to eb mentioned. She gulped strongly and nodded to reassure herself more than anything.” I will help... Sana was a dear friend. She deserves at least this much!” Were Amelia's words.

It appeared Tiffany would be joining to help too. More hands the better in this case, Amelia supposed. Then a new sudden and dreadful thing happened. Miss Sally appeared to be having a heart attack! Niesha saw it first it seems and asked the others which naturally attracted a lot of attention. She wanted to help, but she possessed no useful skills or knowledge. She had to leave the medical emergencies to those tasked with them and focus on what she had to do now... help with Sana, Bryn and... Dick.

“Meg, where're Sana and Bryn?” Amelia asked finally, wanting to start being helpful in at least some regard right away. She wanted to work and even this work was going to keep her mind focused right now. She could pray miss Sally to be alright, but that was about it. She on purpose didn't mention Dick. Currently Amelia was trying to cut him away from any thoughts she had.

Tiffany Lyle

Outer Gate

Tiffany wasn't excited about the work, but she would help if needed. She wasn't exactly thrilled that Chloe would be joining them, but beggars couldn't be choosers. It may have been the past, but she couldn't overlook criminal history. It was just in her blood. Actions spoke louder than words and Chloe's actions had her in limbo. She helped out, but she was sarcastic and had an attitude she didn't particularly care for. She would let it be, for now.

Before they could move on, Miss Sally started calling out and grabbed her chest. She looked worried, but the others quickly ran to her, along with Chloe. Miss Sally would be in good hands and she would get in the way. She reached out for Ray before speaking, "Yeah, we'll get together later. Make sure that Miss Sally gets looked after though? It would be a weight off." She kissed him before making her way back over to Meg and the others, "So, let's get to it. Where to?"

And so we begin. Cases are listed below with the people involved. Those who do not have cases, you are to post normally for your characters. The town is fully awake now and people are heading towards Breakfast, those not on duty and did not come to say goodbye to James. It is probably best if you tend to your duties. If you are a lead not on a case, you have your usually morning routine to do now. If you are not a lead, you still have work to do. Newnan just lost several people. If you have worked with one of those that has left, they will have open jobs that need to be covered - if you were secondary to them you may want to lend a hand.

The over all felling in the is one of shock and people are pretty down right now. Yet the town has been through down turns before where they have lost people. The weather is warming up and the snow is melting quickly. That is going to leave a lot of slush, and gunk on the roads. Yet coats really aren't needed anymore. The temp is climbing quickly and in the Newnan area it is already in the 60's.

Case Name: Oh Shit! Miss Sally!
Lead Reason: Save the old bat!
Secondary Reason: Who else knows everything?
Recruiting: Seriously?
Time: Clock is ticking - T-minus... You'll see

Lola Holler

Location: North Of Newnan (Veterans Memorial Park - Corner of Temple Ave. & Jackson St.)

Lola watched as Alexander handed Thalia a radio and then wandered off. She looked over at her traveling buddy and chuckled to herself. "Now is he as bat shit crazy as I am or is that just senility setting in?" she asked before blowing a large bubble with her gum and it popping on her face. Slowly pulling the edge of it from the tip of her nose she shoved it back into her mouth and kept chomping away.

Shrugging to herself she climbed into the tank and grabbed her bag before coming back up with it in hand. Flopping down in her chair she began to rummage through it. Shoving her toothbrush in her mouth, she brushed her teeth with one hand as she dug out her baby wipes and her make up in the other. It was all part of her usual morning routine. She was probably the only woman left on the planet that went traipsing through the apocalypse driving a tank with perfect wing eye liner and ruby red lips. But hey a girl had her priorities!

Sad fact of the matter was, Lola probably spent more time raiding drug stores for Cover Girl than for medicine but she was all about the morale it seemed. It was easier to be hungry if you knew you were looking fierce. Something about being horribly dolled up made her feel like she could still conqueror the world. Though, anyone with half an eye for fashion would call her a hot mess, but then again the only word Lola would hear was HOT!

Tatiana Korvo

Location: Outer Gate

Tatiana gulped a bit as she spotted Miss Sally but she knew there was nothing she could do. Ash was ordering Jack to do stuff. She wanted to be there for her but she knew there were far better people taking control of the situation. "Jack, go. I see you home later," she said giving his hand a squeeze before taking control of her wheel chair and moving over towards Ray and out of the way. Biting her bottom lip she looked around the crowd and sighed.

"Ray, let's go. Ve start in mess hall? See vho needs talk that can, breakfast good place to start," she said before looking back over to Ash with Miss Sally. It made her heart ache to see her like that. They had already lost 3 today, 4 more were basically gone now that they were outside of the wall. They couldn't loose Miss Sally too. She was the heart and Soul of Newnan. The grandmother to everyone there. Tatiana figured there wasn't a single person that woman didn't like in Newnan. She even put up with Ryan without batting a lash and was able to get Richard to calm down more than once. Anyone that could get through to those two was some type of witch. A good witch, like a British Glinda.

Swallowing the lump in her throat she started to wheel herself towards the inner gate along the side of the road. It hadn't even passed her mind that Jack might need her wheelchair. She just wanted to get out the way. One hell of a first day of their honeymoon but she wasn't mad. She was just sad so much bad was going on. Yet the ever bubbly ballerina had a smile on her face. James as tough, they would be fine in her mind. Miss Sally was strong and had the best doctor ever, well in Tatiana's mind, tending to her along with a lot of others that were really good at their jobs. If anyone would survive this it would be Miss Sally. Yes, everything was going to be fine.

The slightly oversalted joy that was Chili plus Mac & Cheese (together) was Thalia's to consume at leisure. Lola had pretty much finished hers off and the old guy, Alexander, was just about to enter the nearest building that may or may not logically contain coffee mugs. She didn't have a lot in the way of actual, honest-to-god table manners, but she did have the tiniest twinge of guilt horking back a full, nutritious meal in front of someone who probably hadn't been able to eat their fill in weeks. Maybe months.

But hork she did. The pleasantries of civilized society a thing of the past for her, she had zero qualms ripping into the contents of the dark plastic packaging and attacking the passably edible goodies inside. Her preference for solitude, even from before the Outbreak, led her down a path of eating for the utilitarian need of keeping her body functioning; to that end it was fast and didn't always involve forks, even when forks were the generally preferred method of making sure food and face had an amicable meeting. Many times, unless other people were present, flatware just slowed her down.

The stark allure of Chili Mac was almost enough to warrant turning the whole thing upside down and squeezing the contents of the bag into her mouth. Almost. The good people that put together the MRE saw fit to include a thick plastic spoon, supposedly biodegradable (though she never saw one mid-degrade). She looked up at Lola, putting on her makeup, and sighed. Spoon it was. The heating element, however, she didn't want to waste on her breakfast. A contained exothermic reaction started by a few drops of water? No, no. That had possibilities.

But she still made that MRE her bitch.

"Nah, Lolz." Thalia was speaking through partial mouthfuls as she addressed Lola's query about their new acquaintance's sanity. "I don't think he's crazy. Or senile. Hell, he's probably just as sane as y..." She paused for a moment and gave a little cough, "Excuse me; sane as I am. Man his age, living this long with the Zeds? I think he just found his own personal slice of Fuck It."

Thalia located and ripped open a sealed, grey-brown packet containing dense, square crackers. That and a little peanut butter would go down nicely. Quietly, however, she picked up the pack of matches from inside her pack and secreted them into the breast pocket of her leather jacket. She did so appreciate having easy means to make fire.

Riley Ridgeway
&
Raymond Mendoza

Location: The Outer Gate -> Mess Hall

Raymond simply watched a little bit from a distance as Tiffany, Meg, and Amelia had gone off to tend to their cleanup duty, he had a feeling that it was probably going to be very messy for them to clean up. His attention was at the medical team as they went to work and getting Ms. Sally hauled off to the infirmary. When Tatiana wheeled herself over towards him, Ray looked at her and gave her a quick nod. "Sounds like a plan to me." Raymond answered as he started to walk alongside Tatiana towards the Mess Hall.

Riley stood there for a little bit as she sighed running a hand through her hair as she thought about Chloe and Amelia as they went off to do their respective duties. She decided to turn up at the Mess Hall and figure and rearrange things. She looked over towards Raymond and Tatiana, Riley was friends with both of them however she didn't really like the whole therapy session thing. Spending some of her earlier years with a therapist from her parents they always thought of her being troubled back then.

Raymond made his way back to the inner wall making his way over towards the mess hall, it was probably the best place to begin with. A lot of people would come there for breakfast before their morning duties, and if they wanted to talk they could get it done. "So who would you like to do first?" Raymond asked Tatiana as he watched Riley walking past him heading to the same place that they were heading towards the mess hall.
