Victor slowly moved to look at the screen next to him, the design of the cannon was simple yet elegant and by the size of the small reactor combined with what it had listed as plausible ammo could very easily penetrate the hull of a capital ship and would be able to cause severe damage or make the reactor go critical if it hit the right spot. Using this weapon for an orbital bombardment is not out of the question either, judging by the barrel and the round that would be fired from it, it could very easily have a destructive radius of a half a mile.

Yet again his concentration was broken this time from the pilot who seemed a bit hot headed but at least gave him her name, and from Sara’s interruptions. “Boss the pilot has rammed a small frigate and it has punctured through several compartments on the port and starboard sides of the bow.” The cyborg sighed and left the compartment, jumping from his perch to the floor with a thud, he barely realized the dent he made in the floor. The first thing he noticed was the girl from earlier looking over the engines while the other had repaired one of the shield generators, “Listen up girls if you want one of you can come with me to help repair some holes in the ship.” He looked over at both of them as his computer generated voice spoke, “you’ll need one of the environmental suits and one of the portable welders to help, and I’ll be on the outside of the ship repairing the damage there. You will need the suits because Sara sealed the compartments and there is no life support in them.” He gestured towards a locker with the words space suit engraved on it, “whoever stays needs to keep an eye on the reactor, shield generators, and engines. So discuss it between yourselves I’m going to go for a walk.”
@KimmiNinja@StormHeart

A blue hologram of a female pirate slowly flickered to life next to the captain’s chair, and seemed to giggle at the captains seemingly over dramatic display of harm that came to him by the ship jolting suddenly. “As you wish Captain Link, and technically I did not blow holes in your ship I cut them out of your ship” a devious smile animated across the Holograms face. “When we are out of such hostile waters, I can have some of these ship rats you call repair drones to go and install small hologram projectors that will cover the holes I made.” The AI paused for a moment as if thinking about something, “and yes AIs are expensive, take myself for example I was made to operate and assist with the operation of an Imperial capital ship. Victor was only able to get me because he tactically acquired me during his last mission while working for the British Empire.” She let that last part slip out on purpose, she wanted to see the reaction the captain and the others on the bridge might have to learning about Victor’s former employer.
@Hazy@luna558@Atroposer@The Jest

The walk out of the airlock was interesting, he always had fun in zero g, and this was no different. The flashes of laser and plasma fire combined with the trials of missile and kinetic weapons fire lite up the darkness of space. He began to make his way towards the bow of the ship using his grappling hooks and thrusters to keep himself from flying off into space was one of the things he enjoyed, the other was the sheer silence of space even with the battle going on around him, to him it was destructively elegant. Even with the surprisingly nimble ship it was still taking damage.

He found himself activating the magnets on his boots as he neared one of the tears in the hull on the port side. Using his plasma cutter at a low voltage and his own strength he found it quite easy to bend pieces of the torn hull back into place. Welding what he could it became quickly apparent that some hull was scrapped off the ship, and he would need to find more material to replace it. He figured in some way it was probably a good thing they were in a battle field floating nearby were parts and pieces from wrecked fighters as well as a good chunk of the frigate that they rammed into earlier. “Sara if this ship has some grappling hooks can you try to grab a few of these fighters or that chunk of the frigate? I need parts” a blue acknowledgment light blinked on his display for a moment before 4 cords shot out from the ship. Hook like harpoons pierced through the drifting metal and pulled it to the ship. The ships shield slowly layered themselves over the new material, some drones that were repairing the hull stopped what they were doing and began to cut chunks of red painted metal from the fighters and bringing the chunks to Victor.

It was a slow process being by himself with just a few mites to help him process the fighters down to usable chunks. The red metal slowly took shape filling the jagged spaces and giving the bow of the ship a slow bloody look, at least there were plenty of scrap floating around. His attention was broke from his work this time because of a visual distortion off in the distance and suddenly it seemed like there was more than one distortion but many, “Sara those distortions are hyperspace distortions right?” he paused for a moment as the AI chimed in, “yes… let me inform the captain.

Again the blue hologram looked to the captain and then the main view screen high lighting in yellow squares at least 10 distortions with a yellow countdown timer appearing in the corner of the screen, the timer began counting down at 15 minutes. “Captain and crew be advised multiple hyperspace distortions of capital ship class detected, the systems home fleet is beginning their warp to our location. Estimated time till arrival and weapon charge time is 15 minutes, I suggest you update the boarding crew and remind them that we still need fuel cells in order to make an emergency jump to a safe location.”

After some time, Traveler came upon a group of three guards in a conversation. Traveler could not determine what they were saying but it likely concerned the pirates attacking. Still in the ventilation, he took position just above on of them for an ambush.

“…I’m not too worried. All we have to do is wait for a bit, the captain has a plan.”

“Well, when I saw a ship that appears to have come from the 18th century fly towards us; I figured they were either so dumb that they have unpredictability on their side, or were skilled enough to have the luxury of looking like that. Can’t say I like either… What the h…”

One guard said as he noticed a viscous black liquid dripped on him. Just a drop at first, but it slowly grew to encompass more and more. He only had time to look up, seeking a source, before he was completely covered, crashing to the ground from the sheer force of it and unfortunately being too heavy for him to get up. “Shit, I can’t get up. What is this stuff?” the guard said as another reached in to help him out, a big mistake. While he was able to reach through and grab his comrade, he found himself in the same situation. Arms deep and with no conceivable way out, his expression slowly turned to fear. ” I…I can’t get out either! What the fuck is going on?”.

The third guard wisely chose to stay away but was frozen in place from fear. Two targets acquired. One left. Traveler thought, realizing it needed a more direct approach for the third. Forming a tendril out of it’s form, it lashed out at the third’s feet tripping him and knocking him unconscious. The second guard, in a attempt to free himself, used his free arm to fire into the black mass. A futile effort as the kinetic rounds only served to spray the black goo around before it rejoined into the main mass.

Traveler formed another tendril to knock the weapon out of his hands, and grabbing the third, oozed it’s way towards a door in the hallway. After using the wall panel to open the room, it slid inside closing the door behind and attempted to interrogate the two still conscious guards. Unfortunately a few frightened whimpers and screams were the only response. Giving up, Traveler broke off a portion of his form to stay behind and guard the prisoners and traveled through the door, breaking the panels to ensure entry/exit would be difficult before issuing a simple command. ”Stay or die." Traveler said with words so venomous it was clear it wanted to kill them but it was ordered not to. Besides it had something else to do and it could always come back later. After ensuring they were unarmed, Traveler left to continue searching for the captain.

"I'm almost done repairing the shield generators, so do you want to go with the cyborg?" Alexandra asked the girl. "Of course, if you don't want to I'll be okay with going with him."

Alexandra was almost finished repairing those blasted shield generators, and was about to finally repair the last one. She decided just in case the girl didn't want to go with the cyborg, she'd work quickly.

Scrap quickly nods to the other girl,
"I don't think I'll be much help here miss, so I'll go out and help him." Scrap rushes to where the environmental suits are being kept and slip into the smallest size she could find. It was still baggy around the arms and chest area but that didn't bother her as she heads to where the cyborg is, with a portable welder in hand.

Once there, Scrap did best to follow suit in what the cyborg was doing. The task was easy enough for her but getting around in zero G was a whole new experience as she held tight on whatever she could find while getting the job done.

Well this wasn't good the blast alone would mean company soon and their other friend was not nearby. Interacting with the visor for a while looking at the sonar map Ranna sighed and glared at Chef "The Captain said to avoid killing you know" Ranna stated sourly not pleased at what the man had just done. Frustrated the Raptir gestured at the mess "I mean if you don't have a stun weapon just ask rather then killing them of like rodents." She sighed and remained at the entrance somewhat disgusted behind her visor at the damage Chef had just done especially against the poor guy he snapped the neck of. She shook her head "They are just merchants not mercenaries" she muttered to herself moving to keep an eye out where the door had been once. The blast must have gotten some attention from the rest of the crew she thought and tossed out a discrete stun mine into the corridor.

Wilhelm Morskaven watched the boarding party enter the doomed Merchant ship on a small screen he found in the medical bay. He wondered how many battle wounds these fresh recruits would get on their first mission. No doubt there were elite soldiers among them but as he looked at the small screen he noticed a couple of them that seemed eager, but green with inexperience. Hopefully he wouldn't have to do anything too drastic, like chop an arm or two off, but that remained to be seen. Besides, if it did come to that it would provide him an excellent opportunity to introduce himself.

Unfortunately Wilhelm did not get a chance to make an introduction to them before as he was recruited a day earlier than the rest and they entered battle almost as soon as they arrived on deck, providing him little opportunity to get acquainted. But Wilhelm wasn't in a particular rush to meet them all as he knew that would all come in due time. Besides, what if they had heard rumors of a fleeing criminal doctor known as the "Butcher of Fleawalk" that matched his description, and therefore came with preconceived ideas about him? Come to think of it, that's most likely why the Captain hired a second doctor. To watch over him and make sure he wasn't going to do anything too extreme. He pondered that it was a shame really, he admitted his style was brutal but it was nonetheless highly effective.

After a few moments his mind drifted back to the other doctor. Now there was one member of the crew that he would be able to be acquainted with at this very moment, and probably the most important considering they would be working together. Wilhelm looked around the medical bay until he found his counterpart, an Octopus no less, "Hello there friend, I'm going to be your colleague on this ship"

As the sounds of fighting rung throughout the ship, K12 was in one of few places the fighting hadn't reached. The cargo hold, Three guards watched the door plasma rifles trained. K12 was silently talking to itself, it said "There is alto of fighting going on bzzzz Yeah! I want to watch, I think we should just kill the guards and join the fun!" as three arms folded out each one holding saw blades. "Oh my, we are not suppose to kill anyone Bzzz Aw come on. It will be fun, I just wanna have some fun blue!" K12 said as the arms and saws folded back inside itself.

Varrus was less then impress3d with the medical bay on board. The equipment there was looking mistreated. He was glad he brought his own equipment to help make up for the trash he would be working with. The facility wasn't in the worst of conditions and comparatively, was actually well stocked and up to date. However, it was nothing compared to what Varrus worked with in his service. He held a data pad and went over the equipment. He noted inventory and even placed several orders for evaluation by a tech. "I suppose I could use my funds to help get this medical bay in order." He looked through market logs to mark down equipment he would want to purchase, though it was strictly from his home worlds design and origin. He stopped his work when he heard a voice speak up behind him.

Varrus turned his head. His pale white eyes looking into Wilhelm. Wilhelm would then be able to hear a voice in his head, it was clearly alien. "Are you familiar with telepathic communication or would you prefer I use my suits audio function? Personally, I prefer telepathic. It allows a private conversation."

Classic Uldrians and their disdain for conventional communication, Wilhelm mused. He wasn't overly experienced in telepathic communications but he was no layman either as his travels across the stars allowed for some interactions with the telepathically inclined. "I'm happy to use telepathy if thats what you wish." he replied "Oh, and the name is Wilhelm Morskaven, by the way.".

Wilhelm looked over the Uldrian, deciding what to make of the man, when he noticed he was making an order for some new equipment. Oh joy, he's probably going to be one the uptight professionals always demanding for the latest and the best and enforcing whatever they considered to be standards these days, he decided to inquire about it "So what do you think of the ship and our little workspace here? Not up to your standards?" he thought as he gave a nod to the data pad

Outside both ships, in the middle of the battlefield, it seems that most of the fighters are putting their focus on the Typhon for firing. However, it seems some of them are no longer caring that the Merchant ship is in the way, as their lasers began hitting the merchant ship in the crossfire. The Merchant ship, as a result, is taking considerable damages from said crossfire.

A clear sign for everyone inside that ship: Time was running out.

------------------------------

The Typhon- Bridge

Arron looked at the holographic AI as she spoke to him...in sort of pirate speak no less.

"Ha, I like ye already!" He said to her with his own devious smile as he watched what was going on outside. However, it was around the end of what she was saying that did catch his attention, looking towards Sara as she lets it slip.

"Working for the Empire, you say? That Jar on me ship was an imperial worker? ...I'll have to 'ask' him about that little tid-bit of info later." Arron said to her. Honestly, it did not surprise him as much as Sara likely believed it would. Most mercenaries have taken at least one job for the Empire in their life time, and it was hard to blame them when the Empire's the master of the galactic economy. Still, that Victor was most recently an Imperial Mercenary was somewhat unnerving. It's very possible that his last job hasn't necessarily ended yet...Still, what was the Empire having him do that required taking an AI from their own capital ship? Or was Sara here a reward he gave himself for a job well done? Questions for another time...

It was then that he spotted that some of the ships were hitting the Merchants in the crossfire towards his own...They were starting to get desperate it seemed...No, it could be that they figured out that more of them were already boarded on the ship. To make things even more...interesting, was what Sara said next. It seemed the Lancelot fleet was now making their way towards them. He can only guess the L. Prime Governor's rage and desperation overtook his pride and ego, calling for backup from the other ships of the Lancelot system.

Suffice to say, Arron was not expecting the whole of the System to be interested in them...

"He must have REALLY loved that Chicken..." He thought. The situation was now getting more chaotic than he expected it to be...This was turning out a better test than he could have ever imagined, but it seems it was now reaching its endgame. That in mind, he pressed a button on a device on his ear.

"Arms, Change of plans! Ye got 10 minutes to get everyone back aboard the Typhon with equipment and crew in tow, and 5 to get the Hyperdrive running once you do!" He said through it. Without giving Arms a chance to talk back at this quick change of pace, Arron then looked towards the three in front of him.

"Pain, time to get this ship back to Boarding position! Scots and Hook, Cover us with all ye might! As for ye, Link, There's an energy line that goes directly to the engine room from this chair, and there's a few mechanism on that lining that blocks it up. I want ye to unlock the line on my mark. A little precaution Me former matey set up in case a whirlpool of trouble awaits us, and we're ever in need of some more sailing power. Oh, and tell Doc and Butch to get ready for patients, and rest assured by the time we're done here, there likely WILL be land-lubbing folk in need of their hospitality." Arron commanded.

@luna558 @Hazy @Kimmininja @StormHeart @Atroposer @ReusableSword @Vortex @BKburke

-----------------------------------------

The Merchant Ship

Arms, and everyone else on board could feel the shaking of the ship as laser fire began to strike at it.

"Dammit, those imperial fools are getting reckless." Arms thought as tries to stabilize himself amidst the shaking. It was then that he heard a beep in his ear, and pressed it.

"Arms, Change of plans! Ye got 10 minutes to get everyone back aboard the Typhon with equipment and crew in tow, and 5 to get the Hyperdrive running once you do!" He heard the Captain said, but before Arms could respond with how...difficult getting everyone from around the ship together in a fast retreat in ten minutes, Arron cut off the communications with him.

"...Goddammit, Kid!" Arms could only say with a sigh. Captain's orders, no matter how difficult or how ridiculous, are absolute. If he's saying to get the Hypdrive working, it must mean they're about to have even more uninvited guests coming soon. Which means getting the engine stuff is paramount. With that in mind, Arms made his way towards the Damaged Engine room.

@Elevation @Tal0n

-------------------

The Captain and the last of the merchants that weren't captured or dead he happened to find as he walked, happened across two bizarre warriors who took out a number of his fellow merchants. As they began there march to continue, The captain immediately jumped from their hiding spot on a corner of the corridor and blasted a plasma bullet directly between the space of the two, one powerful enough that the radiant heat of which could be felt on their skins, outright ignoring both their armored plating for a quick second as it dashed past them and hit a wall, leaving a burn mark around the point of impact while the point itself glowed white and started to melt.

"That's as far as you two go. Make one more move and the next one goes through your heads, or your heart, not really sure if I should go for the quick and effective, or the slow but painful yet." The Captain Merchant said. Tilting his head to signal the other Merchant he was by to come out and point their guns at them. It would be clear to anyone with battle experience that this guy clearly wasn't some defenseless merchant. The body signals, the jump he made, the accuracy and reaction to purposely fire a warning shot right between the two so quickly like he did, ...Whoever this "Merchant" was, he's clearly been in a war or two in his days. Though by the stance of his other Merchants, amateurs in comparison by the looks of their respective body languages as point their guns, not to mention the ones that the duo has already fought with, it seems the Captain's the only one with such experience. Likely trained the others with, though with not so much success. Made apparent when the vibrations from the cross fire blasts outside were getting worse, and while they stood their ground as best as they could, they were still slightly stumbling before getting back to position.

"Seems like the ship's under attack. A pack of useless dimwits in fighters those Lancelot police, the whole lot of them! One big stupid-looking ship to fire on, and they can't even protect a simple harmless merchant troupe against it? Well, if we're going down, we're taking you all down with us." The Captain said. Incidentally standing right below another ventilation shaft.

"Don't you trust me" K12 opens fire on the last guard in the cargo hold tearing him to pieces in seconds. "no" K12 said climbing the wall to access the door panel

Traveler continued its search for the captain even as the ship began to strain from enemy fire. Luckily the immediate damage was minimal, but it clearly would not be long before the hull would be breached. Even though Traveler could survive an extended amount of time in space, most of the other pirates could not along with the merchant captain. The orders were clear, deliver the captain alive. Eventually it found its way to the captain and a handful of guards behind him in the corridor along with two fellow pirates who were pinned with few options. Knowing there was little time, Traveler quickly formulated a plan. Immediate execution of the four non-critical targets would make an easier task of subduing the captain. Capitalizing on his formless nature, Traveler opted to swiftly travel through the nasal cavities and tear the brains apart from within. Acting on its plan and coming from behind, it killed the four guards within seconds who alerted the captain when they each fell with a thud.

“What the f-“The captain said as he turned and was immediately interrupted by a large black wall which immediately enveloped him. Acting the only way he could, the captain pulled the trigger to Traveler’s dismay. Plasma was a weakness of it as a small portion of its carapace melted away, the individual cells dying off. Counter attacking, Traveler opted to sever the responsible arm from the body. A normally fatal wound given time, but Traveler only allowed him to bleed long enough to severely weaken the captain before sealing it up with its own carapace. The sheer pain from losing a limb along with the blood loss made a difficult fight for the captain to remain conscious, a fight that would take most of his energy rendering him incapacitated.

Shortly after, a small hole opened in the corridor. The hull was breaking apart from the strain of enemy fire which meant time was running out. With the captain sealed safely within its carapace, it went back to the hole, which was much bigger now, and quickly depressurizing the affected rooms/corridors and waiting for the two ships to line up right, it leapt towards the Typhon in a most cinematic fashion. Landing on it in seconds, it quickly found a airlock to enter the ship before the merchant captain died from exposure to space.

Should I continue?

Alexandra had just finished working on the shield generators when suddenly they all malfunctioned. "Wait... What's happening?" She said. Then suddenly, all of the hard work the engineering crew had done all failed, and they were driving through outer space without some of the upgrades the Typhon had. In short, they were going to die. Well, not really, but she was. She groaned and hoped the other engineers would come very soon.

"Did we just lose the engines?
Seriously?
Why can't I be put on a functioning ship for once damn it!"

Balth left his seat with the full intention of going to the engine room and figuring out what the heck was going on,

And then his circuits registered that the boarding party was still on the merchant ship, which currently they were floating away from.
