*Note: Okay - remember to PM me BEFORE you post if you are in Vera's office! (This is ONL, Morose, Pundii)

Streets Of Cairo: "Oh well Lass, don't ya worry. I can show you a few quick stitches that will make things easier," Rosheen said with a smile. "Why don't ya finishing up what yer eating, go and buy some fabrics and such. I have a break coming up soon, we can go upstairs and I can show you a few things. Probably have something for you to wear as well that you can borrow for the evening so you won't draw as much attention," she said in a kind voice before excusing herself and going back to her duties in the food booth. She wanted to get things taken care of so she could spare a few minutes for Mosi.

The sellers in the area seemed to have taken the hint when it came to Mosi due to Rosheens warning. Yet that didn't mean they weren't watching her like a hawk though, waiting to see where she would go and what she would do. All of them were watching her, all but the elderly couple that Rosheen had pointed out for Mosi to buy fabrics from. They seemed to be content on just going about their day as normal. One adjusting the various fabrics to keep the place tidy, the other at the loom actually creating a new fabric.

Vera, Peter, & George

Location: Egyptian Museum: Vera's Office

George remained quiet as he sat there, keeping his head down and his shoulders slumped somewhat. He was used to this. Out in public few drew notice of them or once he passed them they took it as a trick their eyes had played on them. In close quarters like this though it made it difficult to hide things. He was trying to keep from being noticed so much but it seemed certain things could not be helped and he had made Peter a promise, so he was holding to that. They had a deal. This was his end of it, yet right then the only thing he wanted to do was go back to his room.

Neema sighed as she looked between the two that were having a lot of difficultly remaining upright. "At this rate neither be able to sleep this evening because they are take many naps," she said with a slight smile and half a laugh.

"Trust me darling, everything will be fine. Just take a deep breath," Peter said softly to Vera as he kept an arm wrapped around the back of her waist. Seemed William was intent on seeing what all the commotion was about and from the sound of his voice he finally understood what had riled Vera so much. George looked up from his spot. Normally he would have risen to shake the mans hand and introduce himself since William seemed to be holding it together but as Vera came into sight he decided it would probably be best that he remained where he was.

"Vera," Peter said as they came over. She didn't run this time, in fact her feet kept moving towards the man. He had startled her like nothing ever had before but now she knew what she was facing. To a degree. Swallowing the lump in her throat she stepped away from Peter and motioned for him to just stay put before smoothing the front of her skirt down and pushing her curls back from her brow. Walking over to George she held her hand out to the man. It was trembling slightly but she glued her feet to the ground, she wasn't running off this time.

"Mr. Benaszewski. I do apologize for my atrocious behavior earlier. I seemed to have been caught quite unaware but it is no excuse for such scandalous behavior. I hope you can forgive my actions. You are most welcome here and it is an honor to meet one of Peters comrades in arms from the war," she said as she tilted her head to the side and forced herself to look at the mask as well as the rest of his features.

George slowly looked up to Vera and a tickle of a smile pulled at the visible corner of his mouth. Reaching out he stood up carefully and took her hand. Instead of shaking it, he leaned down and kissed it gently before releasing it. Vera froze and nearly felt herself run off but as he righted himself she focused on the one eye she could see. He seemed to be a gentleman and a small voice in her mind reminded her of something. Judge not a book by its cover.

"Mmm, nice to meet you Lady Munn," he said quietly as he let go of her hand and gripped his hat again between his fingers.

"Please, do call me Vera. If anyone has earned to refer to me on a first name basis it is you good sir," she said as she stood there.

"Mmm alright, Vera," George said, smiling a little more.

Peter quirked a brow. Vera was all about formality, to let someone call her freely by her first name was quite the feat but he wasn't going to question it. "Now, that is better. My best mate and my girl. Wonderful day this is turning out to be," Peter chuckled as he rapt his cane on the ground a few times before stepping over and smiling broadly towards George. "Did I not tell you what an angel she is?"

"Have to be to put up with you," George said as he looked over towards Peter and smirked. Vera found herself covering her mouth as she nearly snorted out a laugh.

"Oh dear, do not tell me you agree with him?" Peter asked with a grin as he looked over towards Vera. Vera shrugged a bit and dropped her hand.

"I said nothing," she said frankly before looking over towards George and smiling a bit before it dawned on her there were others in the room. "Oh my, are they going to be alright?" she asked towards Lauren and Neema.

Aziza Tarek

Location: Her Quarters - Outside The Lord Majors Office

"I look forward to it," Aziza said in a soft voice as she leaned over and brushed her lips to Harrys cheek. Leaning back she smiled at him before standing up. "Yes, let's go check in with the Lord Major and see if we can be put to use with all this," she suggested as she gathered her shawl and stepped over to the door.

Making her way out of her room she began to head towards the Lord Majors office. She was glad that she had been to the barracks on several occasions. The past knowledge gave her ample grasp on her bearings. It wasn't long before she rounded the corner and came down the hallway where Reginald's office was located. Spotting Haakon and Josephine she perked a brow. She hadn't expected to see either of them there. Swallowing slightly she smiled towards them as she walked over.

"Mr. Elvsgaard, Miss Clark, hope everything is alright," she said in as kind a voice as she could muster. She still wasn't sure about Haakon, she hadn't seen either of them since that morning and she wondered if anything had happened to make things more difficult for her than they already where. Looking at the door she refrained from knocking for a moment. "Sorry I cannot stay and speak for a minute but I do need to check in with the Lord Major," she explained quickly. She could have taken a minute but right then she wasn't sure if she should.

Rapping on the door she stood there and announced herself, not bothering to wait on the posted guard next to the door to do it for her. "Reginald, it's Aziza. May I speak with you?"

Josephine Clark

Location: The Barracks

Josephine watched Haakon exit, looking no worse for wear. "Yes, it seemed we have our freedom again. We should make the most of it." She stood up and fixed her dress. She wanted some answers.

Aziza appeared. She hadn't expected to see the woman so soon, but she was happy she appeared fine. "We are fine, darling. I hope you are well yourself." With that, Aziza excused herself to go into the Lord Major's office. She still seemed unsure and Josephine had a feeling it was more for Haakon than herself.

"well, darling, I don't know about you, but I'd like to find out what the plan going forward is. The Lord Major mentioned that Lady Munn was at her office in the museum. I'd like to ask her some things. You are welcome to join me if you wish." She was looking forward to this trip more and more.

Lauren reached out to gently pat Mahendra on the back to try and make sure that he is eased back to being fully awake again, but when he got another good look at George. Lauren watched as the man went back to unconsciousness letting out a slight sigh as she reached for the glass before it fell onto the floor and set it back down onto the nearby table. Lauren looked over her shoulder as she listened to Nora, her friend was getting her attention using her father's native language. She remembered that Nora had mentioned her childhood sickness when they first met, Lauren didn't know that much about it just that she was sick as a child. "Your doing fine Nora." Lauren said softly, and just like Mahendra when she got another look at George she was out cold once more.

Lauren gave a slight smile towards Neema's comment, and nodded at this rate they would end up staying up until the next day if they kept going unconscious at this rate. "Well they will certainly be well rested." Lauren said softly as her attention turned towards Peter and Vera as the two of them returned. It seemed that Vera was doing a lot better now then she had been moments before as she smiled towards her friend as Vera introduced herself towards George properly.

After the three of them talked Lauren looked at Vera asking if the two of them were alright looking at them then towards George. "They will be just fine. If you happen to have something that has a strong smell it could wake them up quicker." She hoped that using the same trick that she had used on Vera earlier that morning would work on the two of them.

“Thank you Rosheen. I will be forever grateful.” Mosi replied with a smile as her new friend returned to her duties. Well Mosi thought of her as a friend by now. Friendships were a funny thing she always thought. Being formed often so suddenly. There was also the possibility that Rosheen was simply a good person in general, but she had a good feeling about this. Yeah she concluded to herself that she got a new friend indeed! Without further time wasted, she focused on the meal and brought out the money to pay for it. It truly was tasty, a thing she wouldn't mind to eat every day... or maybe every other day to keep it fresh. With a smile she made the food magically disappear! Disappear all in her stomach that is.

When one was hungry, one ate fast and she soon was out of meal. Taking a deep breath, she put on her hat and stood from the seat. She waved at Rosheen to indicate she'd be going for the moment and headed backwards into the heart of the alley. Yeah there was the single place she now felt the extreme curiosity to go to – the older couple! Yes curiosity killed the cat, but Mosi couldn't help herself. With a smile she moved over to see what they had on display to sell." Hmmm...~" She made a sound of curiosity as she did so.

Haakon J. Elvsgaard

Location:Qasr El Nil Barracks

Haakon couldn't have agreed more to Josephine's words of freedom, finally giving a smile of relief. True, the Lord Major's trust in Haakon was running on a thin line right now, but for now he, and Jo, were on the ride side of it. He was about to question her for their next course of action, when he too caught the sight of a familiar face coming towards them. Aziza Tarek, the woman in question a mere moment earlier in Haakon's questioning, now there. Curious.

Was there such a thing as fate? Haakon doubted it, normally, but now…

And just like that, Haakon missed the chance to say a word of sincerity to Aziza, simply getting in a polite nod to her before she had made her way to the Lord Major's door. It would seem that the honourable gentleman of the British Army were having a busy day.

Haakon turned back to Josephine, at first not quite following what she said. The plan? But it didn't take long for him to pick up what she wanted, which was the same idea he himself had contemplated a few moments ago. "The museum? I don't see any solid reason not to, frankly. Might be able to make our presence in current company less tense too. After you, Jo Dear." Haakon said to Josephine, holding out his hand towards the door and waiting for her to take the lead. "Ladies and Resiliant movies stars first."

Mahendra Huq Zalil

Location:The Egyptian Museum

Again? Had Mahendra done it, again? The proud Bengali, defender of the Suez and scholar of London, had fainted? Twice? Mahendra's eyes started to reopen, once again beholding the impressive architecture of the office's ceiling from his prone position at the floor. A bead of sweat ran down his forehead, down beside his eye and into his sweaty moustache. It tickled, and annoyed him.

"Miss…Miss Ridgeway? Could…could you be a dear and fetch me another glass of water? I seem to have…befallen a sort of dehydration, I think…"

He lied, well kind of. He was thirsty, that was so much as true. But why he had fainted? Twice? No he knew himself too well, and still saw the image of George burned onto his eyes, forever to haunt him unless he manned up and soldiered on. But for now he didn't include that into is explaination, and tried to avert his eyes from George as much as humanly possible as he tried to stand up. "I'm okay, thank you. Probably wouldn't be strong enough either way. I'm born Bengali, you see." He tried to laugh it of.

Reginald Keystone

Location: Qasr El Nil Barracks

While not as thoroughly unpleasant as it could have been, the air i side of Reginald's office did not fully agree with him. That is to say, in hus younger years, he might have referred to the room as "...a trifle rump-stuffy, my good man..." and gone about his business without much in the way of followup comment. But this was the office of a Lord Major! The impression of the British Empire here in Cairo hung upon the orderly business and impression left on visitors coming to see any him. His role as a dutiful Commanding Officer lay partially in the order of his office. This would have to be rectified, however comparatively mild it may be.

The Lord Major rose and turned to his windows. They overlooked the Nile, after a fashion. Good view. Good lighting. And thankfully, they could open. He did so without delay, and set himself to locating an atomizer of jasmine water he swore he saw in here nary a day ago.

Then it happened. A knock sounded from his door. Ordinarily, this would be the very thing he would ignore, unexpected visitors to his office. He had no other appointments except for two enlisted men who were due for reports, but they weren't expected for a bit. This time, however, the dulcet voice of Aziza Tarek could be heard announcing herself. This was bad.

"Yes! Just a moment, my dear!" he called, eyes popping open wide with alarm and urgently flapping his report toward the open window in wide, scooping motions, desperately trying to fan the lesser evil away. "Yes, just one..." he began, now giving up the attempt to move air around and searching furiously through his desk drawers for that atomizer. Damn and be-blast that foul thing!" he muttered, scramblong through the notepads and documents, rifling away past the blotters and ink refills. He found it, at last, behind an old set of boxed fountain pens, a good long ago gift from some dignitary or another.

Reginald let out a triumphant "AHA!" and began spritzing the air around him, walking carefully to the door. He tucked the atomizer behind his back and plastered a welcoming smile onto his face, then opened the door with as much grace as he could muster. "Miss Tarek! What a pleasant surprise, do come in and take a chair, please! Now, to what do I owe the honor of your most welcome presence?"

Yup. Nailed it.

Nora Kingston

Location: the Museum

Nora blinked her eyes open, once more becoming accustomed to her surroundings. After two fainting spells, she feared for her health if she was to undergo a third. Steeling her resolve, she elected to approach this issue the only way she could: mathematically. Rather than stare George straight on, she could instead limit herself by taking in the scene at small angles at a time. Once she reached her maximum angle of comfort, that would be it until she found herself ready to take in more of his visage. There had to be some sort of minimum safe range.

Placing her palms flat against the floor, Nora slowly pushed herself up into a seated position. Her arms nearly gave out, not from physical exertion but rather from continued fear and shakiness. Once seated, Nora found a quite lovely view to take in - the wall - and she then brought herself to a standing position, dusting off her clothing. "I must apologize for my fainting spells," Nora said. She began to test her angle hypothesis, turning her head ever so slightly. Knots were quickly growing in her stomach and she was quivering.

"It is not a-at all proper," Nora stammered. It was the most she could do.

Harry Walsh

Location: Aziza's Quarters -> The Lord Major's Office

Harry's lips split into a smile as he felt the gentle brush of Aziza's lips against his cheek. The feeling was as warm as it always had been, and though it had become more-or-less a frequent pleasure over the last day, it was always as welcome as the first. Fixing up his shirt somewhat, he followed her out of the room and down the hall towards the Lord-Major's office. He gave the soldiers they passed gentle and respectful nods, doing his best to ignore the distant sounds of drilling and firearms training as they moved along.

When they came to find Haakon and Josephine, Harry remained silent as Aziza spoke to them, giving them both a simple smile and a nod towards both as they continued moving. He was unsure why they were there, but imagined any meeting between them and the Lord-Major had likely not been a particularly welcome affair given some of the events of the previous evenings. Turning his gaze towards the door of the Lord-Major's office, Harry could not help but raise an eyebrow at the commotion on the other side. However, though the man himself was an oddity, and even as Harry was no longer a proper enlisted man, he could not help but stiffen up somewhat as the man opened the door, just managing to catch himself before he saluted. "Sir." He greeted the man with a nod, whilst allowing Aziza to speak.

William Drake

Location: The Egyptian Museum

William's attitude had shifted dramatically upon entering Vera's office proper. The sight of Peter had boiled up a great deal of frustration in the man, jealousy even, as he had seen Vera move to take Peter's hand and the man's lips grace her forehead. Yet in that case, William could've almost thanked George for providing a completely different, if not utterly-horrifying distraction for him to focus on instead. One half of his mind insisted that William not look at George at all, but he could only find himself awe-struck and gawking at the man's appearance, as if he was the most fascinating part of a circus freak-show.

As he heard the voices around the room and looked over all the others briefly, William was at least pleased that he had held a particularly tame reaction, at least in his mind. William had avoided screaming, running, or fainting, and instead settled for a kind of horrifying awe, though whether or not such a reaction could actually be perceived as worse in poor George's eyes, well, that never particularly factored into William's thoughts.

Josephine Clark

Location: The Barracks

Josephine had her own reasons for going to the museum, and she would normally tell Haakon them, but she wanted to keep them to herself. A lady should have some secrets, after all. It wasn't like she didn't trust Haakon. Rather, he was one of the very few people here she did trust. And that is why he needed to be kept in the dark. For now.

"We should find out about the upcoming trip, don't you think darling? It's best to be prepared for what we will be doing and who better to ask than Lady Munn herself? Plus, I could use the walk." She nodded curtly at his politeness as she stepped through the door.

Though, she had no idea how to get back outside. She was truly terrible with directions. She started walking in the general direction and hoped to find her way outside.

*Note: No more needing to Pm me for rolls when it comes to Nora, Lauren, Mahendra - They all have reached a "Okay, I can deal with this" point. Now that will change if they ever see him without his mask on, lol. But for now, play it as calmly or nervously as you wish. Whatever is fitting to the characters personality.

Streets Of Cairo: Unlike others in the side street, the older couple gave Mosi distance when she came over. The older woman just smiling in her direction and the man nodding somewhat as he went on with his business. There were many fabrics that were hanging on various bolts so one could touch and get a feel for them. Some with thick and coarse, others you could nearly see through them as if you were looking through a pane of glass. They had some pure silks but they also had blends, many were fur based with silk woven into it. It seemed to let them breath more while retaining a lot of the silks properties, it was a good middle ground for the area and weather, as well it likely cut the cost of production and materials down greatly.

The old man took down a light olive toned bolt of silk blend and held it out to his wife. She nodded and pointed over towards another bolt, which he pulled down as well. This seemed to continue until they had fix or six different bolts down. They all were different thickness, but the colors all complimented each other. "Good?" the old woman asked as she tapped Mosi on the shoulder and motioned towards the stack they had created. Then she started to point to the bolts of fabric and then to the item she was wearing it could be made into, from the light weight veils and head pieces, to the average weighted blends for general skirts and tops, to the thicker stronger ones for covering during times when the sands kicked up.

"Yes?" she asked with a slight smile. It seemed they had color coordinated everything she would need to create something that would work well with her skin and eyes.

The Barracks: Aziza was slightly caught off guard as the door opened. He had sprayed well indeed but it wasn't enough to cover the pungent odor. In fact the atomizer seemed to only enhance the smell. As if someone had poured a bottle of perfume over freshly stepped in camel dung. They were not complimenting smells. Coughing a bit as Haakon and Josephine made their way away from the Lord Majors office and back into the main courtyard she forced a smile.

"Um yes, we need to speak with you please," she said before taking a deep breath and making her way into the office, Sgt Walsh on her heels before the door closed behind them.

Vera, Peter, & George

Location: Egyptian Museum: Vera's Office

Vera looked over at Lauren and shook her head slightly. "I am sorry but I have nothing stronger than tea here currently," she explained before her attention was turned towards Peter as he spoke.

"It looks as if everyone is coming around, come, let's get everyone sitting and upright once again," he said as he assisted Mahendra to his feet and motioned towards one of the chairs over by the table and opposite of where George was seated. "I believe George has already prepared some tea for you. Might do you some good. Nothing a right proper tea can't fix. Stiff upper lip as my uncle would say."

George chuckled a bit as he looked back down. "English and their tea... Mm... Bible tell you Jesus turn water into tea instead of wine?" he asked Peter as his eye trailed over to him.

"King James version of course," Peter countered with a bit of a chuckle. Stepping over to Vera he pushed her curls back slowly. "So, is there anything we can help with? It was the main reason other than checking on your well being that brought us here."

Vera's eyes widened slightly before she looked down at her watch. "Oh heavens! We must be on our way. Excuse me Peter, George. Lady Kingston and I were just about to leave about the permits when you arrived. We must make haste if we care to have this finished by this evening," she said in a hurry as she rushed over to her desk, brushing passed William and half tripping as she did. Gathering her hat she placed it on her head, then her purse and folders of papers.

"I will escort you out then," Peter said as he smiled towards her and glanced over towards Nora. "Perhaps I should attend with you, the Lady Kingston I do apologize but you seem as if you could use another set of hands for this matter. Would you be opposed to myself and my friend attending to you and Vera on this outing?" he asked as he offered his hand to her.

Neema brushed herself off and looked over towards Lauren. "And we should be getting down to the archives once everyone is ready."

Lauren nodded slightly, then they would have to wait for them to wake up but it seemed that they were all slowly waking up now looking over at Mahendra as the man came to and asking for some water. "Of course." Lauren said softly as she got up and made her way over and started to pour another glass of water. Lauren shook her head slightly she knew that the fainting spell was caused by George, but she decided to not say anything and let Mahendra believe that it was caused due to dyhdration. She came back and handed him the glass of water. Then Nora came to as well Lauren went over to gently help Nora up right. "Just take it easy Nora." Lauren said softly, as she listened to George and Peter as the two of them spoke and laughed slightly at their joke. "You guys do seem to really love your tea." Lauren said softly.

Lauren turned her attention towards Vera realizing that they still needed their permits for the expedition, and Neema suggesting that they go ahead and try to find the remaining tablets that they needed to search for. "I'm ready to go ahead and look for them whenever you are, just have to wait and see if you are alright before we go." Lauren said to Mahendra looking towards him and wondered if he was alright to move already and head down to the archive room.

Priscilla Harker

Location:The Alleyway of wonder

Mosi was frankly really impressed. Back over in the states there were clothes and fabrics, but something was missing. Maybe it was the charm? Or was it the frankly annoying way almost all female clothes were sewn together? Yeah she didn't like the usual dresses cut especially more so since her family wanted her to wear it. 'Wanted' being a keyword, they had long since resigned that she was not going to settle down, marry a fine lad of good standing and have merry little kids she brings over for Christmas.

She lightly smiled and blinked to make those memories fade away as she focused her attention back on the bundle of cloth before her. All were frankly so attracting, her attention was quite caught by the seethrough fabrics. All the bolts of cloth were quite nice looking, but those gentle fabrics were attracting her attention like honey attracts bears. For some reason it reminded her of stories of queens and kings, concubines and dowagers, passion and hate across ancient civilizations. It may just be her personal fantasy, but whenever she reads a story of beautiful ancient women, she always thought thin almost seethrough clothing made of gentle soft fabrics that are blown in the gentle breeze as they walk. Partly to blame to her father leaving her with the book on those ancient greek myths all the way back when she was a child. Yeah she had to buy one of those...

Her attention was then pulled by the old woman who was offering her a rather well selected number of fabrics, each with it's own purpose as to be made into a full set of clothing it seemed. Everything from the veil, to the general skirts. Priscilla couldn't help it and showed a very impressed expression as she nodded.” Very good, yes!” She agreed with a smile as she touched the fabrics.” I will buy them!” She stated with a happy smile, studying the selection, imagining how she'd look wearing something like that, but as happy as she was about it, her gaze also was once more drawn to the veil like one again.

“You also have enough of this that will go well for... everything?” She quietly said to the older woman, as she made a gesture up and down across her torso rather quickly to indicate her meaning, but kept her gesture hidden enough with her back so not everyone on the street to see, and then pointed to a darker see through fabric.

Haakon J. Elvsgaard

Location:Qasr El Nil Barracks

"Absolutely dear. To the Museum!" Haakon was becoming quite cheerful with every step they took away from the Lord Major's office, walking beside Josephine through the door and whatever path she chose to follow. For he too wasn't quite certain which way to go in order to get outside of the baracks. He simply followed Josephine for now and hoped for the best.

"I wonder what our strange Fellowship, as the Lord Major calls us, are up at the museum. I hope Lady Munn is faring better than she did this morning. It's no good if the expedition's leader faints again."

Mahendra Huq Zalil

Location:The Egyptian Museum

Mahendra hadn't expected to be helped back up on his feet, but didn't mind the assistance from Peter as he slowly got back up and was gestured towards the table. "Thank you, Sir. That will certainly improve the unfortunate situation. You too, Sir, thank you." Mahendra thanked Peter at first, then turned his gaze slowly towards the man he feared to face. He was still standing, but as he looked towards George, he felt the fear of fainting return to him. But all that came over him was a shiver down his spine, nothing more. The mask had lost its element of horroundes surprise, and now Mahendra could finally look upon him.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, all three."

The cup of tea Mahendra placed in his hands felt comforting after the fits just experienced. But he had forgotten his primary task for the day after Vera's outburst; to assist Lauren and Neema in going down to the archives, and now he was in danger of not finishing his tea that he slowly drank of. Sure he wasn't whole English, but he had grown accustomed to their love for tea. "It will only take a moment, my dear ladies." Mahendra took an almost illegal sip of his tea, not paying too much attention to the actually heat of it, before putting the cup down and giving them another smile. "I'm ready. After you, Miss Neema."

"Don't rightly know, darling. I bet they are discussing endless intellectual things. That's what they do, I suppose. Sounds very boring to me, though I do enjoy a nice trek through a museum every now and then, but I prefer nights dancing and drinking." She wasn't expecting much of either of those things while she was in Egypt and among the others.

It was anything but boring though. As she stepped outside, she took a moment to scan her surroundings. "The weather here can be quite lovely. Hot, of course, but I could get used to it. The museum should be across the way then. Shall we?" she asked, not really expecting a response as she continued walking towards the museum.

Nora Kingston

Location: the Museum

Nora's nerves were hardly settled, but she found that asking herself a small mathematical problem each time she began to feel faint was doing marvels. The angle of safe viewing appeared to be holding and she slowly allowed herself to increase it as time went on. Ideally, she would be able to stare him directly in the face - all while thinking through various proofs and theorems.

Her eyes widened slightly as Lady Munn mentioned the permits. In the fray, they had entirely slipped her mind. Yet the trip to the office would be welcome - fresh air could not hurt. She attempted to be as calm as Vera was frantic, moving to help Vera with the preparations, only to see that Lady Munn had gathered all of the papers already. She then turned, hearing the Lord Keystone call her not by name, but by the courtesy title. Had she not been so frazzled and exhausted, she perhaps would have not protested, but the words practically slipped out before she could stop herself. "I will only be opposed if you refer to me as Lady Kingston another time - I much prefer to be called Miss Kingston."

Nora brushed herself off a little more, having already risen to a standing position. She hoped that Lady Munn would protest if she did not wish the gentlemen's company to the permit office. She gave a polite nod to Lauren, having appreciated her help. She was a good friend to Nora.

Okay, so maybe he didn't quite nail it. Hopefully, with the open window, all this mess would be sorted out and wafted away in short order. It wasn't the best nor most well thought out plan, but it would clear out the more aromatic of their difficulties. In just a couple minutes. Few at the most. It was unfortunate that his precious jasmine water did little to nothing in the way of assisting with his dilemma. Quite unfortunate.

But Aziza was there for a reason, and it wasn't purely to breathe the air. Reginald ushered his two nearest visitors to chairs on the outer side of his fine, English Oak desk, and addressed them. "Yes, yes. My most profound apologies for the atmosphere; there has been something of a distressing yet temporary malady afoot, you see. Now, if you could be as charitable as to forgive the interim difficulties, to what do I owe the honor of your presence, madame and sir?" Reginald was ever the gentleman, despite unforeseen setbacks of his condition.

October 4th, 1924 - 4:45 P.M. Local Time

*Note: Will be moving William and Harry off screen.

Streets Of Cairo: The old woman looked quizzically towards Mosi for a minute as she tried to figure out what she was getting at. It was clear she didn't speak the language. After a minute of conversing back and forth with who appeared to be her husband she seemed to think she came to an understanding. Turning she walked over to one of the posts that held up the awning over their alleyfront store and pulled down advertisement for one of the local entertainment establishments, Alf Leyla Salah. On it was an image of a very long haired womanin a belly dancer costume.

Pointing to the image, or more so the outfit, and then the bolt of mostly sheer and shimmering fabric that has been chosen for a veil she looked back at Mosi. "هذه؟" she asked. It wasn't clear what she was saying but one could readily gather she was asking something along the lines of "this?"

The Barracks: "Thank you," Aziza said as she entered the office fully, with Sgt. Walsh following behind her and shutting the door so that they could have some privacy while they spoke with the Lord Major. Josephine and Haakon had already made their way out into the courtyard of the Barracks. It wouldn't take much time for them to leave the barracks and make their way over to the museum. The guards would follow them however, they would continue until the Lord Major told them differently. So for now, Josephine and Haakon had a shadow which consisted of two rather heavily armed guards.

"I have a request to make," Aziza said as she stepped over to the window, it was the least olfactory insulting area of the room. Turning she looked at the Lord Major. "As a friend Reginald," she added. She never really referred to him as Reginald, especially not in mixed company. Always referring to him as the Lord Major.

Vera, Peter, & George

Location: Egyptian Museum: Vera's Office

Peter looked over at Nora and smiled. "Of course Miss Kingston. Then you must call me Peter," he said with a smile before looking over towards George. Observing the way that Nora and Vera were dealing with Georges presence Peter had a thought. Vera, while as skittish as a cat who had just been dunked in the Nile, she had regained her baring when looking at George. Nora, he wasn't so sure about. Not to mention if Vera took a header, Peter was sure George could do a better job of keeping her from hurting herself than he could with his bum leg.

"Please, allow me to be your escort Miss Kingston. To make up for my indiscretion of calling you by anything other than which you would prefer. I should have asked and that was wrong of me to assume, especially considering I abhor being referred to with my title," he said offering her his arm.

Neema looked over and grinned towards Nora before looking up at Mahendra. "Yes, let get out of this room. It is becoming stuffy. Everyone headed for the archives, let's be off," she said without a moments hesitation, motioning for Lauren to come with her as she held her hand out to the young woman. "Now, since I have not had the please. Tell me, about yourselves," Neema insisted as they headed out of the office and down the hallway back towards the front of the museum. There was a faster way down the archives but Neema was content to take her time on the matter and get to know those she was helping out. Especially since she knew how taxing and time consuming the permits office could be; there would be no rush to get finished before Nora and Vera returned.

Vera was glad that Peter was paying attention to Nora. He was being kind and Vera hoped the two would get along considering they would all be working together on this expedition. Though that left her to be escorted by George. A thought that fifteen minutes ago would have sent her screaming from the room. Yet now, she felt she owed it to him because of the way she had acted. "Then Mr. Benaszewski, it looks like you will be stuck with me," she said plastering a smile on her features. George looked down and slowly offered her his arm.

"mmm, Happily. Please, call me George," he said in his gravelly voice. Vera nodded and took his arm, tucking the papers she had into a case before hand. George reached over and took the case from her.

"Thank you George," she said before she started to make her way towards the door and nearly tripped over the stack of books by the couch as she did. George wrapped an arm around her waste, gently maneuvering her over them before releasing and continuing on with her without so much of a blink. Peter chuckled a bit before looking over at Nora.

"Shall we Miss Kingston?" he said as he went to follow Vera and George.

Lauren nodded towards Mahendra and gave him a slight smile as she watched him quickly starting to finish up the rest of his tea, she looked towards Vera and the others. Seemed that they were all getting ready to file on out of the office now, she smiled towards Nora and returned the friendly nod. "If you are free, later this evening maybe we can go and get a few drinks together?" Lauren offered, once Mahendra had finished up the rest of his tea. Lauren gave Vera, Peter and George a friendly smile as well. "Hope to see you all later as well." Lauren then took Neema's hand and started to follow her out of Vera's office letting the woman lead the way towards the Archives, Lauren looked towards Neema for a moment asking about herself rubbing the back of her neck slightly.

"Lets see I was originally born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania my father was an Irish immigrant looking for a better life there he opened up a bar back home. I was pretty much raised up in that place." Lauren said smiling remembering back to the times she worked there. She continued to follow towards the front of the museum first, she looked over her shoulder towards Mahendra. "How are you holding up by the way?" She asked, she wasn't sure how well he was right now.

"So you used to work here as well?" Lauren turned her attention back towards Neema, as she remembered that she had mentioned she knew about the curator of the museum she was curious about what she knew about the building as well.

Haakon J. Elvsgaard

Location:Qasr El Nil Barracks

"I can only offer two of those wishes, Jo Dear. Never was a night-club person myself. A drink and a tour for the musuem however, are surely possible afterwards. I'm having my doubts that they'll include us in their interlectual topics, so a tour surely can't be of harm?"

Haakon let Josephine take the lead as they finally found their way out onto the busy streets of Cairo. He hadn't missed much of what was going on, seen as it all felt the same as before. Especially the carts and automobiles that raced down the road. It was a wonder to Haakon that he hadn't witnessed someone hit out there by now. "Get used to it? Hadn't you been American, I'd call you quite silly. I can't understand how you can stand the heat." Haakon continued to say, passing the time with conversation as they continued their little trek to the Museum.

Mahendra Huq Zalil

Location:The Egyptian Museum

Mahendra let Neema and Lauren walk before him as they finally left the dreadfully dry-aired office. It felt as if every step past the door gave a gush of fresh air, making the usually heat-resistant Bengali stop his intense sweating. As they walked he realized they were walking back to the front of the museum, wondering whether this was the quickest route or not; this was important for the man who didn't want to lose his newfound job so quickly.

Perhaps it was that thought, or his still shaken mind, that didn't make him listen to Neema's question for Lauren and him. Mahendra, already late to tell about himself, let Lauren answer while he himself walked calmly up beside them, before Lauren asked if he was holding up. "I feel much better now, Miss Ridgeway. Please, do continue. I am interested as well."

Priscilla Harker

Location:The Alleyway of wonder

Mosi was a little curious as of how it would be understood between herself and the old couple about what she wanted. It became clear they didn't really spoke the language beyond probably a few words, but it seemed they were having a discussion about what Priscilla asked. With great curiosity she looked at the poster the older woman finally brought and the meaning of word was almost as if automatically translated because it was pretty logical and obvious it meant 'this'. It wasn't exactly what she had in mind all things considered, but it did strike her fancy! As she looked the poster in detail, she looked back at the couple and started nodding in confirmation pretty energetically with a big smile on her face.” Yes!” She even added, suspecting that Yes and No were probably words most people who dealt with tourists knew.

She then pointed at everything they had picked for her plus the veil cloth.” Price? ” She asked, wondering if they understood her. If she had Rosheen with her it would have been a lot easier, but this was fun on it's own! Mosi had no troubles admitting to that. Though thinking about things she realized time was slowly running out. Soon enough she'd have to meet Akhmed at the museum so buying these cloths and then spending time with Rosheen for a little was probably all she'd have time to do. She even prepared her wallet, to indicate she wanted to buy.
