*Note: Okay - remember to PM me BEFORE you post if you are in Vera's office! (This is ONL, Morose, Pundii)
Streets Of Cairo: "Oh well Lass, don't ya worry. I can show you a few quick stitches that will make things easier," Rosheen said with a smile. "Why don't ya finishing up what yer eating, go and buy some fabrics and such. I have a break coming up soon, we can go upstairs and I can show you a few things. Probably have something for you to wear as well that you can borrow for the evening so you won't draw as much attention," she said in a kind voice before excusing herself and going back to her duties in the food booth. She wanted to get things taken care of so she could spare a few minutes for Mosi.
The sellers in the area seemed to have taken the hint when it came to Mosi due to Rosheens warning. Yet that didn't mean they weren't watching her like a hawk though, waiting to see where she would go and what she would do. All of them were watching her, all but the elderly couple that Rosheen had pointed out for Mosi to buy fabrics from. They seemed to be content on just going about their day as normal. One adjusting the various fabrics to keep the place tidy, the other at the loom actually creating a new fabric.
Vera, Peter, & George
Location: Egyptian Museum: Vera's Office
George remained quiet as he sat there, keeping his head down and his shoulders slumped somewhat. He was used to this. Out in public few drew notice of them or once he passed them they took it as a trick their eyes had played on them. In close quarters like this though it made it difficult to hide things. He was trying to keep from being noticed so much but it seemed certain things could not be helped and he had made Peter a promise, so he was holding to that. They had a deal. This was his end of it, yet right then the only thing he wanted to do was go back to his room.
Neema sighed as she looked between the two that were having a lot of difficultly remaining upright. "At this rate neither be able to sleep this evening because they are take many naps," she said with a slight smile and half a laugh.
"Trust me darling, everything will be fine. Just take a deep breath," Peter said softly to Vera as he kept an arm wrapped around the back of her waist. Seemed William was intent on seeing what all the commotion was about and from the sound of his voice he finally understood what had riled Vera so much. George looked up from his spot. Normally he would have risen to shake the mans hand and introduce himself since William seemed to be holding it together but as Vera came into sight he decided it would probably be best that he remained where he was.
"Vera," Peter said as they came over. She didn't run this time, in fact her feet kept moving towards the man. He had startled her like nothing ever had before but now she knew what she was facing. To a degree. Swallowing the lump in her throat she stepped away from Peter and motioned for him to just stay put before smoothing the front of her skirt down and pushing her curls back from her brow. Walking over to George she held her hand out to the man. It was trembling slightly but she glued her feet to the ground, she wasn't running off this time.
"Mr. Benaszewski. I do apologize for my atrocious behavior earlier. I seemed to have been caught quite unaware but it is no excuse for such scandalous behavior. I hope you can forgive my actions. You are most welcome here and it is an honor to meet one of Peters comrades in arms from the war," she said as she tilted her head to the side and forced herself to look at the mask as well as the rest of his features.
George slowly looked up to Vera and a tickle of a smile pulled at the visible corner of his mouth. Reaching out he stood up carefully and took her hand. Instead of shaking it, he leaned down and kissed it gently before releasing it. Vera froze and nearly felt herself run off but as he righted himself she focused on the one eye she could see. He seemed to be a gentleman and a small voice in her mind reminded her of something. Judge not a book by its cover.
"Mmm, nice to meet you Lady Munn," he said quietly as he let go of her hand and gripped his hat again between his fingers.
"Please, do call me Vera. If anyone has earned to refer to me on a first name basis it is you good sir," she said as she stood there.
"Mmm alright, Vera," George said, smiling a little more.
Peter quirked a brow. Vera was all about formality, to let someone call her freely by her first name was quite the feat but he wasn't going to question it. "Now, that is better. My best mate and my girl. Wonderful day this is turning out to be," Peter chuckled as he rapt his cane on the ground a few times before stepping over and smiling broadly towards George. "Did I not tell you what an angel she is?"
"Have to be to put up with you," George said as he looked over towards Peter and smirked. Vera found herself covering her mouth as she nearly snorted out a laugh.
"Oh dear, do not tell me you agree with him?" Peter asked with a grin as he looked over towards Vera. Vera shrugged a bit and dropped her hand.
"I said nothing," she said frankly before looking over towards George and smiling a bit before it dawned on her there were others in the room. "Oh my, are they going to be alright?" she asked towards Lauren and Neema.
Aziza Tarek
Location: Her Quarters - Outside The Lord Majors Office
"I look forward to it," Aziza said in a soft voice as she leaned over and brushed her lips to Harrys cheek. Leaning back she smiled at him before standing up. "Yes, let's go check in with the Lord Major and see if we can be put to use with all this," she suggested as she gathered her shawl and stepped over to the door.
Making her way out of her room she began to head towards the Lord Majors office. She was glad that she had been to the barracks on several occasions. The past knowledge gave her ample grasp on her bearings. It wasn't long before she rounded the corner and came down the hallway where Reginald's office was located. Spotting Haakon and Josephine she perked a brow. She hadn't expected to see either of them there. Swallowing slightly she smiled towards them as she walked over.
"Mr. Elvsgaard, Miss Clark, hope everything is alright," she said in as kind a voice as she could muster. She still wasn't sure about Haakon, she hadn't seen either of them since that morning and she wondered if anything had happened to make things more difficult for her than they already where. Looking at the door she refrained from knocking for a moment. "Sorry I cannot stay and speak for a minute but I do need to check in with the Lord Major," she explained quickly. She could have taken a minute but right then she wasn't sure if she should.
Rapping on the door she stood there and announced herself, not bothering to wait on the posted guard next to the door to do it for her. "Reginald, it's Aziza. May I speak with you?"
