Currently complaining about interacting with: Jordan Manilow @Kalleth

About three people so far had attempted to knock Jordan Manilow down. Amelia closed her eyes and latched her mind onto the cold metal bar her instructor was hanging from. She bent the metal a little bit. He was still hanging on. Um, alright. She pushed at him with a huge block of aether. Amelia gasped a little when a large portion of her ability slid out from under her. She bent the bar a bit more, created a couple fractures, and then asked the obvious question when she lost the rest of her control.

"Are we allowed to leave the bleachers?"

Alexander

Alex watched with a slight smile on his face as his teacher summoned an enormous ball of lightening. She made it look so easy. He knew that the teachers were strong, they had to be in order to teach. But she had just trumped every tutor he had ever had, and it didn't even seem to make her break a sweat. Hell her hair even did some cool wavy thing.

"Okay, I'll try." Alex said when she told him to do his best.

He thought about what she said, about putting way more energy into it and then letting the ball expand. It made sense. He knew that he had been taught that before, its just that last time... No, that was years ago. It was time to get over it and move on. He couldn't keep holding himself back, if he did he would just prove his father right.

Alex faced away from the teacher and towards the nearby trees. He always felt like it was a good idea to not aim at a person. He put his hands together like he had before, but instead of putting only a limited amount of energy like he had before, he pumped his energy into the ball, trying his best not to hold back.

It was hard for a second, he was so used to trying to control every little aspect of his powers that letting it flow so freely was unnerving, but after a moment he managed to get over it. The ball formed much quicker this time, if a little shakier then the other one had been, and became about the size of a baseball. He pushed more and more of his energy into the ball. It felt...exhilarating. Just letting go like this, it felt almost freeing.

He started to feel drained, but something inside of him wanted to push it, to see just how far he could push himself. He poured more and more into the ball, the excitement of just letting loose a little overpowering his usual caution. Finally, feeling like he was at the very edge of what he could manage, he let the ball grow. It went from the size of a baseball to a basketball, and then it was the size of a chair, and then a desk. Before he knew what was going on it had become roughly the size of a minivan.

He felt overjoyed at the size of it, but it shook violently. The ball of lightening pulled at his control, demanding its freedom like it always did. Usually this would be were Alex would just let the ball dissipate, but something felt wrong. It had gotten to large, to powerful for him to force away. It demanded and direction to flow, it demanded its freedom, and he was too tired to stop it. If he let it go it wouldn't dissipate it would search for the nearest path, and right now that was Miss Drow. It was gonna be just like last time...it was gonna head straight for Miss Drow, she would get hurt and he would get punished just like before...he was worthless... he was....

NO! A small voice shouted in his head. He had been younger then, with an incompetent man for a tutor. For whatever reason he couldn't just make it dissipate, but he would be damned if he let it hit his teacher. In a split second he scanned the area. It was good that he had faced the nearby treeline. There were no students around and it was far enough away that what he was about to do wouldn't hurt him or Miss Drow.

With one big push, he forced the large ball of lightening away from him and Miss Drow, towards the tree line. Free from control, the ball of lightening shot forward in a flash and slammed into one of the trees with a boom. Part of the tree broke off from the impact and slammed into the ground, sending chunks of wood flying away from the tree, but because no one was around none of the shrapnel hit anyone.

He..he did it. He had actually done something with his powers! He started to turn so he could smile sheepishly at Miss Drow and apologize for the tree, but as he turned a sudden dizziness overcame him. His legs felt week and wouldn't support him anymore. Before he could actually say anything his vision went black. The last thing he remembered was a mild pain in his side as he hit the ground, having exhausted most of his energy.

The first attempt, a ball of wind, made Jordan laugh. The force itself was nothing to shake a stick at, but it was child's play for him to let his legs unfold and drop to the next bar down, allowing the compressed ball of air to pass harmlessly above him. The next attempt took him off-guard, when he felt the metal begin to buzz with electricity, but in a moment Jordan was back to his calm collected state. The boy down below using his powers was not particularly strong, and though Jordan felt the electricity running through him like last night's chili, he was very fortunate. As an Earth user, Jordan's resistance to electricity was much higher than normal, which made this enterprising student's tazer-like blasts feel like static from one of Catherine's fuzzy sweaters. Of course Jordan had to watch himself, because he knew more than well enough that there were a share of water users in his class...

The last attack, causing the metal to bend and warp underneath Jordan's fingers, he circumvented in an after-thought, launching himself up the last few rungs of the bleachers, breathing hard, until he could sit back on the edge, waving down at the class. Was this all this year's roster had to offer? Abysmal, the worst he'd seen so far... Of course, Jordan watched with keen interest all the students who weren't participating. He hoped some would add their efforts to their classmates. He wanted to be pushed to the limit by them, and in turn, cause them to extend themselves fully. That would be a fulfilling first class, in Manilow's eyes.

EDIT: Actually did the homework on electricity and grounding, and came up with a canon method of explaining Manny's reaction without changing its outcome. :)

Kris Sterling-Silva

@Kalleth

Once her train arrived at the academy, Kris stepped off the train arms crossed, and a sour look on her face, she had a laundry list of complaints and wanted to unload them all onto someone, and she didn't care who it would be that would get her wrath. As her rage slowly subsided a thought came to her head, she could return just as she arrived, having her card at the ready and heading to the station's office, Kris spoke with an employee at a ticket booth, after telling the guy where she wanted to go and swiping her card she was almost on her way before he pulled the ticket back and told her something she didn't want to hear.

A scowl began growing on her face as he told her that she wasn't allowed to return to her own home, Kris slammed her fist into the booth's counter, her father thought of everything if the train was denying her the ride back then the airport would be the same situation. Kris found herself on a nearby bench feeling both angry and depressed but wanted to do nothing and just sulk there on the bench; it was when her bag was thrown from the train as if it were a garbage bag did she stand up and start hurling insults and swears at the employee before checking her luggage, everything inside was thrown around, she had to separate everything and put it in the right place the moment she was finished she noticed that her clothes were all casual clothes with nothing she would ever bring with her on a journey or while traveling.

After shutting the luggage bag, the princess sighed in disappointment, she knew she couldn't go back and swallowed her pride then headed off towards the academy. Since her train was late getting here she was told by a greeter what she already knew."You're late" the woman reminded her of the situation, the lady then went on about how there was a mandatory class taking place and Kris had to attend it without explaining why it was mandatory.

Kris stomped off to the gym and the first thing she noticed was the other people standing around and doing next to nothing, then there were people throwing attacks at the gym's bleachers, while what looked like a hobo hung from them like an idiot." Where is the teacher?!" She asked the others before staring up at the vagrant hanging from the bleachers.

"Ugh! What kind of academy lets homeless people into the gym?" She insulted the teacher before crossing her arms and glaring at the bum." How come you don't just extend the bleachers and go up there to him?" She told the others to give them an idea, she let out a sigh." Seriously who's idea of a mandatory class is watching some hobo hang from the bleachers in the gym?" She asked nobody in particular before heading over to a set of buttons on the wall." God if the students are this stupid, then my father must have been " She commented aloud before hitting one of the buttons making the bleachers move, she couldn't believe that the students would just let someone from the streets come in and muddy up the school, it made the princess mentally gag thinking of what messes they could've made.

Felix hid his grin best he could. Him protect anyone from an out of control Dia? Might as well try to stop the sun from shining. Of course he could damn well try but secretly he feared that the strength of his element would not overcome hers enough to make a difference.

But that didn't mean in a pinch that wasn't exactly what the idiot would do.

When Manilow called out his test, Felix felt his blood burning with anticipation at the challenge. Early classes! Back to sleep. Biting his tongue, he waited beside Dia patiently while the others began.

"I think he wants us to all come at once. Metal, earth, even his skin can be comtrolled by that bastard. With everyone in everyone elses way.. If you can freeze the bars though, we could just as simply numb his hands. Step one?"

It wouldn't be that simple. Arms crossed in a frown, he waited. Not exactly sure of what exactly.

Vera Wynn
11:30 am

Vera made her way down the corridor, admiring her painted nails decorated with tiny gems that reflected the light. She had just gotten them done the day before, and was still not over how pretty they were. The city had an abundance of what seemed like everything - beauty salons, laundromats, clothing stores, restaurants... She might just go broke if she kept going out there- wait, no, that would be impossible. Even so, she had to remind herself of what was really important. She had been sent to the academy for a reason, and that was to learn how to control her light ability. After practicing for three months, Vera was rather satisfied with her progress. She was glad to be able to use her ability without blinding anyone. It had been manageable, once she did a little research on her element and taught herself to picture light being made up of many tiny particles. What were those again? Right, photons. She now felt a connection with them, and felt much more in control.

Of course, the academy did not neglect basic education. When the first-years were informed of the different streams of study that they were allowed to choose from, Vera was immediately drawn to the Arts, particularly to visual arts, and she knew exactly why. She had developed a keen interest in design due to her family business, and hoped that she could develop her creativity and design skills at the academy as well. Naturally, the new environment had been rather overwhelming, especially for someone like her who had led an extremely comfortable life. She was grateful that she had a friend and dorm mate to support her and help her learn some independence. Silas was a really sweet boy, though, she wished that he did not have the tendency to spew such unpleasant language at times. She found herself spending less time with him as the weeks went by, due to the differences in their elements and specialized classes.

Vera was looking forward to meeting her art teacher, who doubled as her elemental mentor. She had figured out how to deliberately direct light reflecting off of other objects right into people's eyes, basically creating illusions by making them see what was not in front of them. She arrived at the art room, intending to surprise Professor Dawn with a little prank using her newfound ability, but ended up being the one surprised at the state that the classroom was in. There was paint everywhere, even on the teacher herself. Vera instinctively stopped at the doorway, slightly repelled by the colorful mess, and cautiously peered in.

"Professor Dawn?"

Dia nodded. "I'll.... I'll try."

Taking a deep breath, she extended her Aura further and further forward towards the teacher, concentrating on the bars he was on and the surrounding bars.

She felt bad for Felix. It had to be rather cold around her.

She grunted as the moisture in the air started to freeze on not just the targeted bars, but every bar on the bleachers in the targeted area.

She could feel it trying to get away from her.

"I can't..." she muttered.

Bhu Adamnia

After homeroom had ended, Bhu found herself growing in excitement at the thought of her next class: gym. Not only was Jordan Manilow completely gorgeous, but he specialized in her same element. The thought of being taught how to control sand and earth from the man had every nerve busting with giddyness. It was definitely one class she always found herself looking forward to.

Bhu soon made her way to the class, feeling herself growing more anxious by the minute. She knew the feelings that she felt towards her Professor and mentor were completely inappropriate, but she just couldn't help herself. He was so confident within their element and he always made everything look so effortless. He was everything she ever aspired to be. Soon arriving, she quickly made her way to the front of the crowd to not miss a single thing. Wringing her hands together, she bounced on the balls of her feet as the Professor began to speak.

So...he was going to test their skill. Her stomach sank at the thought. Bhu felt extremely nervous about showcasing her lack of control with her element, extremely when it came to showing it off to Manilow. She needed to get better, be better. She tried to pay attention to the others who went before her as they tried to knock their mentor on the ground using their element. As they all failed, Bhu took a step towards the bleachers for her turn. Her focus was interrupted by the rasp of an all too familiar voice.

Looking over at Kris, she sneered her lip at the girl's protest. Who did this girl think she was? Sure, she may be royalty or something of the sort...outside the academy. Within the walls, she was nothing more than a fellow student. Bhu rolled her eyes and folded her arms across her chest. She could feel the ground beneath her feet begin to shake as the girl continued to speak. Her eyes narrowed and she clenched her hands into fists. Before she could say a single word, she felt the air around her dip in temperature. Sucking in a breath, she glanced over at Dia. "What are you doing?! You'll freeze everyone here!"

Phoebe Dawn

Finding herself getting lost to the music in the air, Phoebe continued to throw paint at her canvas. She was completely in her element and at peace. Nothing else could bother the woman in these moments. As she continued to paint and dance, time got away from her and the thought of students soon entering her class was the last thing on her mind.

So when a voice interrupted her thoughts, Phoebe sucked in a quick breath and instinctively went invisible. The paint can in her hand fell to the ground, splattering bright purple paint all around her feet and the lower part of her legs. She turned to address the voice when she noticed who it belonged to. With a bright grin, she put a hand to her chest. "Child, dear, you gave me a fright! With a small giggle, she reached out to turn off the music box when she realized she couldn't see her hand. "Oh, shoot."

With a shake of her head, she became visible once more with another giggle. She resumed turning off the music before turning fully to face her student. Waving the girl in, she peeled off her apron and tossed it onto her desk. "Come in, come in! Don't be shy. Take a seat. Class should start soon."

"Yes you can!"

The cold was going to get worse quickly. The longer she focused on it the colder her zone of influence was going to become. Felix had seen experience with it, having lived with her. Practiced with her. His own practic had yielded a different version.

While his own zone of influence wasn't as spread out it was enough. Where Dia brought an ice age to life as she directed her powers out, Felix focused his in. The only target was himself.
Like the sword, he charged the area around him with energy. Both hands raised to the skies, he focused on the space between. He was the earth and his hands were the sky.

No sky was complete without a sun to occupy it.

Flickering to life, he coaxed his energy into a physical form. A guttering flame danced in his hands.

not enough. Not nearly!

Bigger. Warmer. Like the sun itself, it needed to spread warmth to counter the cold. In seconds the weak flame grew larger and larger, until it was nearly the size of a basketball.

"Give it your best."

Heat spread from his hands but he could not feel it, safe from his own element whole he held the reigns. Like Dia's cold it was spread wide, his own warmth coubtering it enough to make the cold tolerable around himself. It couldn't br maintained for longer than a few minutes but that should be enough.

@Sailorsadie

Calling out to Bhu, Felix kept his voice stern.

"Zip it! Stand where its warm or back away. Get in her way and I'll crush you."

An empty threat. Felix would never harm a lady, but it would get the message clear.

Dia could feel her power start to flicker out of control. Sharp spikes of cold in her immediate surrounding, Felix lighting up the area with his fire.

He believed in her, though. She smiled, a strained gesture, before the smile faltered at the exchange between Bhu and Felix.

Memories of the fountain incident resurfaced. A small whimper escaped her clenched teeth as steam began to coil between her and Felix with the rather large difference in temperature.

She knew she should stop before it was too late, but...

"Just...a bit... More..." she muttered. Curling her hands into fists, she managed to direct her power to the bars again. In moments ice had creeped over the bars and the top row of the bleachers.

Unclenching her fists she went to withdraw her influence, to leave the ice but stop spreading the cold.

She was breathing heavily now, and while her field of influence was diminishing, there were frequent spikes of her Aura flaring back out.

"It's...I can't... It won't stop..." she said quietly. Quiet enough it was unlikely anyone but Felix would hear her, as hardly anyone else could handle being so close to her. "Don't want... Fountain... Again..."

She visibly shook as another flare occurred.

ShiZhen followed the others from homeroom to gym, though stopping by the locker room to change into her gym clothes. Today's gym format was unusual to say the least, and the thought that they might be here to the point of being late for their other classes caused her anxiety to spike. But the thought of bringing Mr Manilow down early and ending the class prematurely didn't sit right with her either. What if it was a test? If they brought him down early, was it a sign that they didn't like classes and that they were bad students? The other students started eagerly throwing 'balls' of their element at Mr. Manilow, but ShiZhen hesitated. However it suddenly hit her that there were methods to make him come down that didn't have to be immediate. A nasty thought passed through her mind. "S-sorry, Mr. Manilow..." ShiZhen whimpered as she pointed at him with an index finger, directing Kracko Sr., her cloud 'familiar', to float up above Mr. Manilow's head. She didn't have to knock him down, she just had to make him uncomfortable enough to let go of his own volition. After all, ShiZhen had enough personal experience to know how bad it felt to be soaking wet. Kracko Sr. began letting down a light but relentless drizzle onto the gym teacher.

However, as Dia began to cool the surrounding area, ShiZhen meekly walked over to Felix to partake in his protective warmth. "P-please excuse me..." ShiZhen nodded. She was a bit intimidated by the aggressive boy and wasn't sure if it was ok to be this close to him. Fire and water really didn't mix, but then again, neither did fire and ice.

What ShiZhen hadn't considered though, was the fact that if Dia continued to freeze the area around Manilow, if Kanako continued to hurl air blasts, and if Havish continued to electrocute the bar, Kracko's light drizzle might turn into something else, something a little less friendly.

Part of the reason she had not arrived at this potentially dangerous conclusion, was because someone had come in and started calling Mr. Manilow a hobo. Appalled by any sort of disrespect towards authority and potential for heated confrontation, ShiZhen decided to clear the matter up so as to prevent escalation,"Th-that's not a hobo! That's the gym teacher, Mr. Manilow. Our exercise for today is to get him down using out powers." ShiZhen hoped that it was all just a misunderstanding, and that upon realizing the truth, Kris' rudeness would melt away.

As she stood there pouting, two of the others began trying to get the guy off the bleachers, one of them was an ice user like Kris, but she couldn't control her powers to any degree, she could feel the air grow chilly around them and it began to feel a lot more like home, then the ice user began losing confidence in her own abilities and Kris scoffed."Geez if you can't do it then why are you even here then?" She questioned Dia."Isn't this school suppose to have people who at least have some idea of what they are capable of?" As the temperature began to drop lower and lower, Kris grew a small grin hugging herself, the cold air in the gym did nothing to her already icey skin, she nearly took off her jacket to enjoy the cold air even more."Ohh, now it's starting to feel like home now." She spoke out loud.

Then as the cold began to get even better someone, a fire user decided to warm up the place, or at least a small area for himself to be warm or be warm with the other warm-blooded elementals so they wouldn't turn into popsicles. The princess rolled her eyes as the fire user began trying his best to encourage Dia, she kept her arms crossed as the ice user kept trying to do whatever it was she was doing to the bleachers and then giving up on it and muttering to herself.

"Goodness, that's all you can really muster up? A nice little chill to get people frosty? If that's all you can really do then I suggest you drop out while you're ahead and quit wasting other people's time." She told Dia."Let the people who actually can use their powers attend the school." Then out of nowhere one of her "peers" told her that the homeless man that was hanging from the bleachers was actually a teacher, and their task was to get him down without using their powers."Ugh, what type of test is that? Everyone here has elemental based abilities or at least the basics down." She looked back to Dia."Well some of us do."

Kris rolled her eyes as a migraine slowly worked its way into the front of her head." Its the first day, or at least my first day here. We should get to know each other or something of the like. But no we get the teacher who wants to pretend he's a monkey and have us get him down." Kris started wondering what school did her father really send her to, how could this be the first thing they had to do on the first day."Was my exile to this school a test of how much I can take?" She growled.

"What do you think you are doing? And for that matter, who the hell do you think you are," Amelia growled at the newcomer. Her powers flooded back into her, and to her credit, she didn't flinch.

"And if you're so high and mighty, reset all that," she gestured to all of their progress, "And do it yourself, PRINCESS." That last word was shrieked as loudly as Amelia could manage without using air manipulation.

She closed her eyes, tugged a strand of aether and tied it into a noose around the other's neck and pulled it just a bit so that the other girl could feel it. And, woosh. There went her power again. At least she'd gotten a shot in.

Gym Class

The brown-haired girl had been a bit distracted from her little snowball of a roommate for a moment, as one of the other students, someone she hadn't recognized seeing before today at all, began to mouth off like some kind of jerk. Whining that Mr. Manilow was a hobo, and getting into an argument by insulting one of the other girl who tried to stand up for the man, even seeming to provoke one of the Air element kids who snap at her for her shoddy behavior. It was disgusting how that girl was acting, and a bit too reminiscent of back home to a certain extent that Leanne kept her trap shut, lest her emotions potentially come barreling out like the other girl's had with the shriek whilst screaming the word "princess" at the visibly pompous and arrogant new person. Many of the students here had been nice, especially among perhaps a few of the other Darkness kids like her who had seen some crap probably worse than hers, but all in all she hadn't been pushed to feel anyone here was like....well, "them", the people who had given her hell back home.

So really, this new girl was already pushing more buttons on more people than perhaps she realized, hmm? Leanne lightly bit her bottom lip a bit to try to control the thoughts that had managed to catch her off-guard in this instance. Had she prepared herself like she had when first coming here, then she could have shrugged it off better. However, the taste of iron in her mouth pulled Leanne back into reality, her bottom lip now bleeding a little bit into her mouth due to where she was biting it. Nothing too serious, but potentially in need of first aid.

Sighing at the matter inwardly as the shock allowed her to reign herself in, Leanne looked back over at her white-haired roommate once more, her bottom lip being held in a little to try to hide the bleeding before reaching over with a hand to ruffle Eir's head in an affectionate manner, though as such to try not to wake the sleeping gamer as well. Not that the messy girl would perhaps mind, perhaps? Eh, with Eir it could vary. If she was perhaps sleeping hard, then perhaps she'd be grumpy if Leanne had to place a guess on the matter. Then again, that shriek could have done the waking already.

She was glad she had found her little friend here, though. She...really was for personal reasons. However, with the escalation of things, she was not going to try to down the gym teacher right now. Not when her gut gave her the feeling she needed to back off a bit at the moment until things were stopped or cooled down.

The redhead had moved to the side as the others had tried to get him down thus far, grinning outwardly at the display. However, her face spoke not of arrogance or a bemused pity for those who had failed thus far, but rather for a bit of joy that they were trying and a growing eagerness for her "turn at bat" as the phrase might go in American baseball. She already had ideas floating around within her mind, ranging from a well-placed fireball to walking over and heating up the bars until he had to get off. It was all in good fun, and yet for her the mood of the jovial attempts by some of the other students, and the hesitating attempts by others perhaps learning to stand on their feet when it came to power usage, came to a screeching halt when a notably new girl to probably the school itself began belting out insults about the teach and other students overall. From the low blow towards Dia, whom she recognized the name of due to her boyfriend, to her pitiful arrogance that seeped into every word that came out of her mouth, to shaking rudely off another girl's attempt to respectfully reprimand her, to her attitude having already set off one student with a shriek of "princess" at the end of that student's words, it had managed to do something she usually held back with for people like this: get on her nerves.

Though her hot temper flared into life, her stubborn self held it back with a dam made of adamantine at the moment, as she knew in her gut that if this prick girl who probably just got here responded it might start some more serious shit. Fast. Very fast indeed. And people did not need to get burned, shocked, stabbed, frostbitten, or otherwise for this crap.

Silently, Diana walked over to where the shouting and shrieking girl and the little prick were standing. Without a word, she put her hands between the two, aiming at shoving the shouting girl back lightly as if to just make her give some distance, but her other arm aiming for shoving the prick girl with a roughness that would perhaps inevitably (at least in Diana's mind) set her off even more.

Regardless of the results of this, she then stepped between the screaming girl and the prick all the same, looking overt at Dia with a sense of compassion, then to Felix, then to ShiZen, then back at the shouting girl over her should, before looking down at Kris herself with an overbearing aura that seemed to be a mix of "i don't gave a shit about your status" and "you aren't worth using my powers on".

"You really shouldn't be worth my time, but seeing as you want to mouth off to everyone and try to make a scene or an excuse to get people riled up, i think i can make an exception," the German girl said, staring dead into Kris' eyes with no ounce of backing down, grabbing the girl by her collar with her left hand and hefting her up off of the ground without breaking a single sweat so she could look up at her, "Your little attitude can stop right now, and you can sit and sulk over this while everyone else tries to enjoy things before someone else fires off like the person standing behind me. You don't have to like it, you don't have to respect anyone. But you can shut up. Or if that does not work, there is what i like to call 'Option Two'. I can take my fist and plant it so far up your worthless-ass, spoiled-rotten-sounding face a good few times over. Then it might jolt your pewee brain under that thick skull of yours into some common sense of decency."

"It's your choice, really, but i think the former is going to be a hell of a lot better than the latter. Besides, my fists are all you are worth right now, not even worth an atom of my powers being used in even your general direction. But if you want to use them i'll just say you chose option 2 and let the fun begin! So what will the choice be today for ya, sweetheart?"

These type of people, she could not stand these types of people. On their high horse, mouthing off to everyone without thinking of the consequences, probably living off of daddy's money like it was going out of style, potentially sent here to get her ass in gear before she used her element without thinking or training to do something even dumber that no one would be able to bail her out of. Did she know this girl? Heck no. Had she gotten to know her? No. Did she give every warning flag and stereotypical sign of an asshole spoiled kid who felt themselves higher than the "commoners" below them? Indeed, she did to a "T" for the German girl.

So she was going to give this girl a chance, one chance to shut her trap, avoid the other students flaring up their powers at her since they were all damned first years, and sit in her sulking corner and keep her trap shut. Of course, letting icy girl's boyfriend or others step in was all-too tempting as well, since that might have the same effect. But why have another peer get tied up in needless violence, when she could just level a dead-serious threat to try to get her to shut up right now before anyone else did something drastic, emotional, and utterly stupid. At least with 'Option Two' she might reduce the amount of people in trouble as well.

Or, if that failed, the teacher would have to stop her if this girl was going to avoid a black eye on her first day. Still, it could be a good first lesson in manners for her around people in general, as it were, with how she sounded right now. Haha!

Jordan Manilow

@Spriggs27@Old Amsterdam@Zelosse@Sailorsadie@RoccanIronclad@Stern Algorithm

Jordan sat from his perch, ass buzzing faintly thanks to the pink-haired boy's efforts. He sincerely hoped the boy would give up, if only so that Jordan could stop feeling his hair stand on end, even more so than usual. He raised an eyebrow at the student down below who in a fit of striking observance, had the gall to label Jordan a hobo. Jordan chewed at his lip, considered, and then nodded at that. After all, she hadn't seen the Shed. None of them had, and hopefully never would. Jordan was fine with his students believing that age-old myth that the teachers lived at school, waking up at the precise time their classes began and going into sleep mode during the holidays. He held his tongue, wondering if any of the students would defend his honour. After all, he'd put down more two-bit tykes of her ilk in his day than he could count on both of his hands and feet, at least. All the same, he started devising comebacks almost by accident, all of them vastly inappropriate and vastly hilarious.

The temperature dropped markedly, and Jordan thought for just a second that the headmaster had come to spectate, before he noted the girl who looked slightly uncomfortable standing next to Felix as the probable source of the chill. That might also be his girlfriend, Jordan thought absently. He felt kind of bored at this point, waiting for more projectiles, or at least a ratcheting up of intensity from his pupils. This level of cold was as likely to affect him as was the static currently tingling against his butt.

Jordan's interest was piqued by the beginnings of a tremor, signalling an earth elementalist, before he saw the beginnings of infighting emerge. One girl started questioning Felix's girlfriend, while the fire user himself began attempting to counteract his girlfriend's powers, which clearly were not properly focused. The end result, while impressive individually, resulted in Manilow leaning back and enjoying the sunshine while a possible threat neutralized itself. These kids were eons away from true teamwork, truly fulfilled potential, and that was why Jordan's enjoyment of the weather could remain only as a façade. His expression was grim, though none of them would see it. They needed to work together, and prevail as a united force, if what was happening to Kano, maybe even to Jordan himself, if that progressed...

A crackling noise broke the silence of Jordan's thoughts and he rolled backward on instinct, coming up in a kneeled position on the bleachers themselves. The edge of which had now been covered over with ice, where he'd been sitting moments before. Perhaps a more talented ice user had decided to take action, or that girlfriend of Felix's had more control than he gave her credit for. Either way, Jordan stood up now and felt the tingling in his feet through his shoes, a faint vibration under which he could feel the current of electricity pulsing. Maybe he was writing his students off too quickly. After all, the current was just as strong here as it was on the bars near the pink-haired boy, and Jordan wagered the current retained its force along the whole of the bleachers. An impressive feat. Not sufficient to subdue their teacher, but notable nonetheless.

Jordan was making to peek over the edge, maybe toss a few taunts, and see to what end the drama below had progressed before he felt a shadow come over him. Looking up, he saw a cloud familiar, or elemental, filled to bursting with rain.

"Fuck." Jordan breathed.

He ran in the other direction, students forgotten as the cloud kept pace with him, the beginnings of rain crackling down on the bleachers. Not for the first or the last time, Jordan cursed water users with all of his worst obscenities. Jordan rapidly approached the end of the bleachers, running out of room and ideas. Desperate, in a way he hadn't expected his students to bring out in him, Jordan skidded to a stop at the bleachers' edge. The cloud came over him, and with it came the rain, a conductor which could increase the electric potential, lower his resistance to devastating or even lethal levels. Jordan's power came fitfully, and then in a flood, all of his will concentrated above him.

It wasn't enough.

Jordan felt his body grow slick with rain, felt the water weakening his resistance, flowing down in moments to meet the bleachers. Jordan waited for pain, burning, and very bad smells. A tiny shock jolted up his spine, before subsiding. The Gym Teacher blinked, and then realized he couldn't feel the electricity at this end of the bleachers. No vibrations. And then he felt ridiculous. Lucky, foolish, and a little bit embarrassed. Clearly his body was by no means the most direct path for the charge to take back to the ground. If Jordan had been facing a trained and competent lightning user, getting wet would have meant death, for even the most hardy of earth elementalists. However in his current untrained state, this student was unable to provide sufficient will to overcome the natural laws of his element. It had merely been an unpleasant coincidence, then, that Jordan had almost been overcome by children without any training using the barest measures of their strength, in disorganized concert, had it not?

Standing silent in the rain, Jordan Manilow shivered, his mind roiling at the implications.

Kanako Nagasaki

Kanako immediately felt dumb when Jordan dodged her blast of wind so easily. Dammit, she should've known her wind would be too slow to hit him before he could dodge.

@Spriggs27
Before she could try again however, a particularly loudmouthed individual made her entrance. She immediately started off by giving insults, particularly to Jordan, whom she thought was a homeless person. Kanako felt bad for doing it but she chuckled internally at her observation. However, she began to get angry as well when she started to insult the students including herself. Just who in the world did she think she was?

@Zelosse@Old Amsterdam
Before she could give her a piece of her though, the temperature suddenly dipped. It didn't take her long to see the cause. The bleachers were beginning to freeze, meaning someone here was using their power to freeze the air around it. Bhu shouted at Dia to stop it. But Kanako doubted the girl could do it. She heard she had terrible control over her own power. Her boyfriend, Felix (everyone knew they were practically a couple already) was coaching her to control it (and shouting back at Bhu in the process). As hotheaded as ever, Kanako thought.

"Atchoo! Brr, it really is getting cold!" Kanako shivered. She saw Felix was using his own power to warm himself. Hmph, too bad she couldn't summon warm wind or something.

She then saw Shizen summoning a drizzle upon Mr. Manilow before correcting the arrogant girl that their teacher wasn't a hobo and telling her that their objective was to bring him down from there. Well, at least now she would know their objective. Speaking of the girl, she seemed to be not bothered by the cold. That would make her another ice user, Kanako supposed. Funny how her personality was the complete opposite of Dia.

@Crusader Lord
The new girl began to insult Dia's lack of control as well as the choice of test Mr. Manilow was giving to them. It didn't take long until she pissed off more students, starting from Amelia, then followed by Diana. Kanako had to admit that the verbal beating Diana gave her was really impressive. So impressive in fact that she just stood there watching as the scene unfolded, forgetting that she should be trying to knock down Jordan as well. She got guts for sure...

Speaking of Jordan, he was actually having problem this time around with the combination of powers assaulting him. Too bad Kanako was too distracted to capitalize on the chance.

Ethan Conrad

9:10 am

While many were eager to throw attacks at their teacher, Ethan was among the few hesitating to do so. It wasn’t so much he was afraid of hurting Manilow as he was clearly prepared for this kind of activity, but he wasn’t sure exactly how he could help. Manilow had no trouble dodging projectiles even with such impairments as electricity and ice, and him being on metal bleachers meant he wasn’t vulnerable to many earth hazards. Well, a tremor might do the trick, but that would be a little too extreme, right?

Wrong.

Not only did one of the students do just that, but Dia was creating a massive cold zone with Felix acting as a heat lamp of safety for those near him. Yet even with his giant flame, Felix was only the second most heated thing there. A new girl had come into play making the worst of all first impressions by insulting everyone there including the teacher. She was quickly met with harsh words from the other students, and one even grabbed her and threatened violence! Was Manilow just going to let this happen?

Looking away from the fight to the bleachers, Ethan realized Manilow was still preoccupied dodging the students attempts to knock him down, this time with much difficulty due to a rain cloud...Wait. Rain? Oh no. Ethan’s eyes darted from the cloud to Dia still freezing everything around her, to Felix creating a hotspot, back to the cloud. A mix of extreme hot and cold with moisture in the air meant they were only missing one ingredient for this place to become a literal tornado; strong winds.

“Kanako! Do not use any wind!” Ethan yelled without even thinking. He wasn’t sure how powerful his classmate was, but with how things were looking this was not the time to find out. Right now it was time for Manilow to get off the bleachers and tend to his students. Using the opportunity given by the other’s, Ethan ripped a good sized rock out of the earth hurled it towards Manilow’s legs. With any luck, it would be just enough to make him fall, or at least take notice of what was happening.

Kris Sterling-Silva

@Crusader Lord@Arya10108909

While Kris tried to ward off her migraine and held her forehead, one of the other students actually spoke up asking who she was, Kris turned to the girl."I am Kris Sterling-Silva, of the Silva Kingdom on Ross Island. I was sent here from my family's castle where I was tutored professionally to be sent away from Ice users that would not only freeze your blood solid but would shatter you into thousands of tiny pieces if provoked." Then the girl had the audacity to order her to attempt to fix their mess and do it on her own." Who do you think you are?" She asked her "peer" glaring at her with grey eyes." You cannot order me around to fix your errors or anybody else's. If you want something from me or for me to do something for you, you ask the right way."

For a moment, Kris felt a straining on her neck and couldn't figure out what was causing it, but in as quick as it had happened it was gone. While that was going down, Jordan was still hanging from the bleachers and expecting them to take him down or knock him off the bleachers; Kris took a deep breath and decided that she would finally step in and do something to end this class, she exhaled a gust of cold air, it wasn't aimed at Jordan but straight down towards her feet, she closed her mouth then took what looked like a ballet stance and spun on one of her heels with what looked like a javelin forming in one of her empty hands, all she had to do was put her other foot on the floor and everything would be finished, but before she could land it and finish what she was doing, someone shoved her and ruined everything.

It was yet another one of her "peers" they shoved her and the girl started mouthing off about how Kris wasn't worth it, but yet she was gonna make an exception and confused the princess for a moment before she started to unload on her about what she could do and yanked her up by her jacket collar, Kris glared at the girl, she was starting to get angry again." Do you think your threats scare me?" She resisted the urge to punch the girl." I am a princess with seven brothers, seven. I've face worst threats from kidnappers, I've heard scarier threats from my brothers, and the only person to have ever scared me was my mother, you aren't her. If you think that putting your fist into my rectum is scary, then you have a long way to go." Her hand connected with the girl's face slapping her for grabbing her blouse and jacket in her big manly hands.

" That wasn't even an atom of my power, and I was going to actually help you and those other albatrosses behind you." She dusted off her jacket after that girl put her hands on it." I don't know who you think I am?" She pointed her thumb at herself." But I'm not some twiggy featherweight who can't handle a challenge or let alone some wannabe bully who thinks she can push me around, you... You..." She shoved Diana." You monster handed hot head!" She yelled.

Kris knew that this girl might want to fight her after everything she had done, but she wasn't just going to sit around and let this warm-blooded chump just threaten her, confuse her, then put her hands on her, it was one thing to be sent here with a teacher who chose to hang on the bleachers like he's a student, but it was another thing when this was gonna happen, if she needed to she would show this girl what happens if she messes with a member of the Silva family, the cold air that hovered around Kris dropped in temperature.

@Crusader Lord

8:55 A.M.
Gym class

Ugh, there were quite a people going at it now, weren't there? The Gym teacher had given them quite the ridiculous task, hadn't they? Knock him off his perch and they'd get to go back to their dorms. Aside from being an obvious bluff - who in their right minds would believe something so ridiculous - there was very little chance of a group of new students actually being able to do something against someone of his caliber. Even the two ridiculous looking love birds were joining in. Ugh, it made her want to vomit and throw an iceball at them...and then someone quite...fun sounding showed up.

She started not only calling the teacher a hobo, she also started insulting the other students. Eirwen couldn't help but to inwardly chuckle at the girl, who on some level was speaking her own thoughts. The only difference here, was that she was actually a nice person and didn't go around starting needless violence. Aside from being tiring, she had no desire to actually be, well, intentionally mean. A little catty and annoying? Oh, definitely, but this girl was simply annoying.

Eirwen sat up, feeling Leanne finally ruffle her hair in her usual manner, scooting a bit closer to the other girl who was probably feeling a little agitated by now.

"Hmm...loud." The smaller girl grumbled, stretching as she sat up. "Well, at least I don't have to participate. I swear, these other people here are silly. Starting petty fights over something like this." Still, the likely ensuing fight was going to be good entertainment...that said, perhaps she could use this to put her brain to use. She cast a glance over to Manilow. Leanne had her darkness, and she had her ice. Albeit, both were unlikely to be used in a complementary manner usually, if someone could come up with a good plan then it wouldn't matter much.

If only she was good at freezing things in a wide area, with that water on him someone could freeze him and stop him from moving.

"So...any plan for getting that 'hobo' off his perch?" Eirwen giggled. "Not that I care. He's stuck in here with us even if he's not bluffing about keeping us here. I kind of want to see what happens if we just try to leave. Not like he can stop us without revealing his hand a bit. I have a few other ideas, but every ones being tiring to deal with right now." She'd do whatever Leanne did. For now she'd just lean on the other girl until she decided to do something.

People needed to try and use their head a bit more. Just lobbing random attacks at him with no control or thought isn't going to work. As well, sometimes the best way to win against someone clearly stronger than you was to use your head and do something...unconventional.

Diana Schwarzwald

9:10 AM

Gym Class

@Spriggs27

If there was one thing Diana had almost wondered for a moment at all now, it was this:

Did this girl think she could just throw out a paltry slap, starting mouthing off, and expect her to just sit there and wait for her to try to use her powers in retaliation for some projected attack?

Of course she did not wait for the other girl to really finish speaking when it came down to it. As soon as the slap was done and the other girl began mouthing off even more, Diana decided "fuck it" with her threat of not using her power on her. Channeling her anger at the situation, her face wrought with the stoic steel of restraint in her expression of emotions in that manner, Kris would perhaps come to notice a jet of flame that shot out right from the end of the angered teen's fist, the same fist that even now still held this "ice princess" up by the collar, which was aimed towards Kris' face without any moment, yeah not even an ounce of hesitation on Diana's part. Hot, searing flame, spewing out in an instant in a sudden jet of fire, fire that which would seek to lick up all in its path, fire that could perhaps up the waters, fire that.....well, in this case was actually not the strongest, but was meant to be strong enough to be fully to set the other girl's hair ablaze and maybe see if a jet of fire in her face would finally put an end to this with some minor burns and a flaming head to boot.

Even through the slap and words and such, Diana had not let go of Kris' collar, and indeed had not let go of hefting her off of the ground. That brief burst the other girl had made back at her verbally and physically had not shaken her resolve, though admittedly the anger was getting the best of her despite her own now rather stoic appearance facially. There was no talking back on Diana's part, no move to try to be witty about things, no attempt to let the other girl finish speaking after that slap that, in Diana's mind, would allow the ice user more time to prepare for what came. Simply put, she attacked without thinking for a moment about the actual consequences of it, unleashing her fire pure and true from the end of a fist, without word or the pomp and circumstance this girl seemed to try to use her powers with from the looks of things.

No hesitation, but simply an unleashing of channeled emotion, and an ironclad stoic face that concealed a forge of somewhat active yet still rather latent fury underneath to some extent.

Gym Class

Though having attempted to not be involved, to sit there with Eir and try to avoid the..."drama" going on right now, Leanne was shocked as one of the far more athletic girls, Diana if she had the name right, hefted up the icy girl and leveled more than a small threat at her of brute, physical punching if she didn't quit her behavior. To be honest, it was something that the hoodie-wearing teen, who was in gym clothes in this instance whilst sitting on the grass, had to admit was.......not an unfamiliar thing that had popped into her minds in days past. When everyone treated you for the worst, adults, peers, and even some fellow elementalists around who all seemed to care more about a dead attempted-kidnapper just because she could control a taboo within a taboo, eventually such thoughts would work their way into someone's head, no? Even if she had worked against them, they had been there. The dark ideas, fueled by the thought of just lashing out to end it all, feeling fed up and angry about life, about people, about her own parents, about them all. Indeed it had been scary to think on just how close she could have been to doing something more than a little regrettable, just by just pulling away that thin barrier that separated actions from simple thought when she had been feeling at rock bottom about everything, that temptation to pull down the layer of self-control her grandmother had helped her develop just tantalizing when at her lowest points this far in her life....

And yet....as she saw the flame begin to shoot from the fire-user's hand.....

"MR. MANILOW, GET OVER HERE NOW!"

....she reacted with her true feelings on the matter instinctually, not hesitating at all.

The words, a notable plea for help, roared out of her mouth as a strong shout, not a shriek nor cracked tone to be heard from her whilst her resolve and firm willpower on this took hold. She shouted at the top of her lungs in the shivering teacher's direction with the intent to get him over here. NOW. All to help stop this situation before it further escalated to someone actually getting hurt.

But this was not all she did. Without thinking of her own perception by the other students, her powers at the same time as her own shouting simultaneously lashed out at the situation at the Darkness-element user's behest. Focused wholly on stopping the start of this fight, or at least to interrupt it until Mr.Manilow could get there, originating from the shadows of Kris and Diana would arise a sudden, thin but wide wall of palpable, solid darkness that jutted up between them like a spike erupting from the earth. And indeed, the wall would separate the two and block their visibility of each other entirely, actually breaking the athletic Diana's grip as some bit of flame from the girl's fist came into contact with it due to its sudden appearance.

The sudden action caused Diana to seem to pause in place, perhaps in a thoughtful manner, yet still as stoic as could be, the ebon black wall of darkness blocking her sight of her prey much to Leanne's relief. Though as for Kris herself, she had no idea if the sudden flames, which had caught Leanne herself by surprise without seeing how much had come out by the time the wall went up, had if at all hit the ice princess whose attitude disgusted even Leanne so. But at the same time, she couldn't stomach this sort of crap happening when it didn't have to.

It....even if she could understand more than a little bit the disgust for people like Kris deep in her own gut, it was just not right at all to attack someone in cold blood like that out of the blue, pun not intended, and she would stand by that. To see something like the darker things she had felt made manifest, she couldn't stomach it in all honesty. And...she didn't want someone else to make that same mistake, if she could help it.

However, in the process of her getting up to shout and put up that wall, Leanne had manged to bite her bottom lip a bit more, which as she shouted caused some blood to be unintentionally spit forwards onto the grass in front of her. Luckily she was not getting blood on any others, but...even so, it was not the nicest looking thing right now.

Unfortunately, she did miss what Eirwen was saying, her own agitation at the situation boiling over and culminating in her actions. She was not trying to be mean to Eir, but....this matter had struck a sort of chord with her, not exactly a good one that brought on positive feelings, but one that she felt spurred on some sort of action as a result.
