Most of your suggestions/ideas sound wonderfully fine to me, Nox~ And yea...there is that issue with Edolas having lost all of its magic when the Animus was shut down. But perhaps, someone from Earthland was trying to make a portal/gateway to Edolas? Just a thought~
I will say though, that I am not a huge fan of adding stuff like 'Vampires' or 'Werewolves' in the FT universe. They'd feel a little...out of place unless done in some other way. Fairy Tail isn't exactly known for that sort of thing.
Perhaps a 'vampire' like magic or ability that feeds on a mage's Magic power for a suggestion instead of blood.
And come to think of it, as far as 'were-beasts' go, there are animals that have the 'take over ability' I think, like the Vulcans back in the Macao arc, so could potentially do something with that.
Imagine trapping a villain inside Edolas with no way of getting back xD
Unique creatures sounds like something a dark guild would be involved in. But straight up vampire? Meh...Sorry, I'm not a fan of them. There are cat girls though! (Although, I think she's a fake.) Giants are pretty much confirmed too.
Hmmm. Well another way to do various beast could be done via type of magic, or maybe something along the line of Frankenstein creatures.
Also it doesn't have to be vampires as their normally seen in mythology. They could be just means of inspiration. Look at the demons in Fairy Tail; they're nothing like the ones in classic mythology.
All these suggestions seem good to me, I do like the most of the ideas so I guess it's just a matter of settling on which ones to do and what order to do them in.
@Rune_Alchemist I'm pretty much down for all your suggestions. I've always thought Edolas was a boring Arc in Fairy Tail but for the sake of Eliza, I'm good to go :)
As for the vamps and werewolves... We could def make it that its some kind of Lost, Caster-type magic. I've seen it done before on a different site I use to RP on. Also I have an idea about magical beast created from the Source magic, I think it was called The One Magic (supposedly the manifested expression of love, aka the Essence of Magic itself).
I haven't got a name for them but perhaps they could be named after the countries on Earthland or something ancient like that.
Anyway these beast are essential for magic-use. One could govern holder-type magic, another caster, and the last Ancient or Lost Magic. This triumvirate of sorts are undetectable, hidden by magic beyond even Zeref. Created by The Visitor...
haha, we're actually in a bit of an agreement there.
I think the way they handled Edolas could have definitely been done a lot better. More emphasis on magic items, for example - but it's shounen so what can ya do~
Also...there's potential for Eliza to run into her Earthland counterpart. That needs to be a thing at some point which would be fun.
@Noxxis If ya need someone to make a bad guy/control some villains for ya, I wouldn't mind doing that if you have need.
Name: Kamil Overstead aka The Demonic Fairy Age: 21 Appearance:
Guild: Fairy Tail Location/Color of Guild Mark: Right Upper Arm/ Purple Joined Since: 3 years ago Magic Type: Take Over - Demons - Take Over magic that allows him to take the form of demons he has defeated in the past, adapting them to his appearance. Magic Rank: A Spells:
Galanthar
This is his stronger take over. In this form Kamil is able to fly and has it's speed increased.
Shadow Ball - He is able to cast and launch blue-ish balls that drain the life force of enemies when hit. Smaller balls are faster but drain less life force while bigger balls are slower but make more damage. For each ball that hits Kamil gets stronger and is able to heal himself.
Numb Poison - His claws have a numb poison.
Thrurockar
In this form he gains brute force, making him able to lift and throw really heavy objects. Due to hi brute force he is able to smash walls with a single punch.
Rage - The more damage he takes in this form the more enraged and strong he becomes.
Berserk - After taking to much damage he enters Berserk and gains feral instincts rendering him unable to differentiate friend and foe.
Malthus
In this form neither his strength or speed are changed.
Invisibility - Becomes able to turn himself invisible to the eye.
Shadow Jump - Kamil is able to enter any shadow and teleport himself to any shadow in a 5 mile radius.
Equipment: Always carries with him a pack of gum. In Malthus form a belt with two blades appears in his waist. Personality: To the common knowledge Kamil is known as a demonic and evil member of Fairy Tail due to his power and his avoidance of the general public. In truth he is a really joyful and outgoing guy that really loves gum. He doesn't have much love for battlefields or fighting but he'll do it when needed. History/Bio: Kamil was born in a village named Heaven's Hill, son of the village leader, Marcus a mage able to use wind magic. Most of his life was calm and normal until the day that people started appearing dead in his village without known reason. Being his father the village's leader he started investigating that reasons around this strange deaths, leading him to the cause of the problem. A demon named Malthus was behind the deaths. He had been killing villagers and eating their souls to gain power. Kamil's father laid a trap for catching the demon but it failed, leading the demon to get enraged, leaving the shadows and attacking everyone. Marcus fought the demon, a fight that both lost. When Kamil arrived near his father he had already passed away. In fury Kamil took his father sword and stabbed the almost dead demon several times until there was no sign of live in it. This was when he discovered his powers. The demon body started to crumble into ashes as dark streaks of energy flew towards Kamil's body. The village was safe but that meant the lost of their leader. Kamil became the new leader, position that later he choose to drop and had the village elect the new leader. After that, Kamil left, the village wasn't a happy place for him anymore and he needed a way to learn to control the demon that was "living" inside of him. He roamed the world until he found himself in Magnolia. Hearing about the guild of legends Fairy Tail he decided to join it in hope that someone could teach him how to control his powers.
Extra: He will take any job with the "demon" tag. Does not like to be around "normal" people, creating an unpleasant image of him from the common folk, who know him as "The Demonic Fairy", some of them thinking he is a real demon.
Our team looks fun and with some "Easter eggs" in some way to the older fairy tail members. We have a "Lucy", a "Gray-ish Natsu", a "Erza-ish Mystogan", a "Food Cana" of sorts and a "Mirajane" Even though they are really different from the older "counterparts" at the same time the resemblances are funny.
As for missions/acrs I think we should start with something simple like a Dark Guild taking control of a city. And we could make each one a member of that guild and when fight comes we could RP against each other
We should start off small, with something relatively easy for our characters to take care of and work our way up to the more complicated matter. Maybe a beginner mission or two before we get into anything really tough to help establish character relation ships a bit more?
Speaking of character relationships, if our characters are all part of the same team we need A: A team name as Nox previously said and B: I think we should at least flesh out how well our characters know each other and whatnot.
back on topic though - I'd recommend a small scale mission or two to start with. Maybe just a standard 'Magical creature hunt' perhaps getting rid of some pesky critters to start with. After two of those or however many we decide to go with, perhaps we can have the characters return and have things play out like @Noxxis suggested with that 'Dark guild' and the 'Curse of Cards' thing he suggested.
I have to agree with @Rune_Alchemist in that we should start off small and then possibly work into the Curse of the Cards arc. We can then transition into the vampire/werewolf arc with maybe a curse island/town like the Cursed Island arc in the canon storyline. After that, we can decide which route to take if we want.
Coincidentally, we dont have to do the vampire/werewolf thing so soon, we can choose to do another idea after the Curse of the Cards.
Also, @Raider Dog I'm sure it looks good, I'll take a look at it now.
We can add somethings, remove everything, or tweak things here and there. This is just something I had rolling around in my head.
Just a disclaimer, I enjoyed putting this together. It was fun so don't feel bad about completely rejecting it.
- First Arc. So I think it'd be awesome to start the RP off a week or so after that year's GMG. It would establish a timestamp that will show up near the end of this list. I'd personally like to see us lose this GMG, giving us a more humane rival in the RP. An opposing Guild who beat us with sheer overwhelming skill.
- Name: The Unkindled
-Top Wizard: The Ashen One, Plyr (perhaps a Wizard Saint, This motif will come together near the end.)
- This could be our starting off point. Our introduction to the Dark Guild, Titan's Fist. Though I'm reminded that I'm constantly seeing this created when RPing Fairy Tail. Greek motifs and especially the story of Titans. Now I've been playing a lot of Dark Souls recently and I'd love to use a motif about it in the RP. Of course this can all be put to a vote. If so the Guild can be named the Abyss Chasers. A low-ranking guild in the hidden alliance known simply as Dark Souls. Anyhow, the Abyss Chasers are searching for a way to create the *Jewel of Manus by sacrificing whole villages. Fairy Tail receives the request to stop them but a tad too late. The Jewel is created but to ease the mind of young girl who requested it, they see it through.
- Second Arc. As for this mysterious Dark Mage that's rising to power, creating sub-plots and leading our heroes astray from the main goal, he could be some reincarnation of a mage that came even before Zeref. One that used forbidden Abyss Magic, his name: Manus, of course. I have two different images for this person. Of course we could shop around too lol. here and here. This Arc can more or less a bonding one with a lighter mood until the end where we introduce the next Dark Guild.
- Third Arc. This would naturally lead to the Edolas Arc. With Manus' Jewel stirring his ancient spirit and causing its reincarnation. The Holder Elder One reaches across time-space and dimensions in order to complete his duty of awakening the Caster and Ancient Elder Ones. However to leave Edolas would mean to destroy its anchor to reality. Incapable of doing so he leaves the job to those he summoned to Edolas, the band of Fairy Tail wizards who had recovered the jewel. Of course we'll encounter trouble there involving our Holder Elder One. It will lend us a weapon of sorts, a key to unlock the Caster's realm.
- Fourth Arc. Once returned due to the strength of the Holder Elder One, they would take reprieve while deciphering the riddles that would lead them to the Caster and Ancient Elder Ones. While doing this we have our run in with the Dark Guild using the Curse of Cards spell. They are an upcoming yet powerful guild hoping to impressed the secreted Dark Souls alliance. We can learn of their existence here. From stopping their evil machinations with a bit of trouble, for surely their stronger than the Abyss Chasers. After we're done, we return to the guild to learn the first riddle is complete. We now know where the Caster Elder One is. A lighter Arc.
- Fifth Arc. This is where the spy comes in. A spy from the Dark Souls alliance. One from the Dark Guild called, The Four Lords. I'm not sure how to end this but I think it'd be best if it enlightens Fairy Tail on Manus a bit. Perhaps the spy fears his name greatly, so much that his mind-breaks or something.
- Sixth Arc. The group searches for the Caster Elder One but thanks to the spy they end up in a war against The Four Lords Guild. Its here that we learn that Manus came before Zeref, that he was responsible for Black Wizard's curse, as the Wizard had touched the Abyss unbidden. The Four Lords is shown to be a Guild of incomprehensible power; a guild of just four mages. Mages capable of reshaping the face of Earthland. Gwyn, Izalith, Nito, and Pygmy. They are the second strongest in the alliance. Second only to the guild: Dark Souls. However it goes, if we win we encounter the Caster Elder One who stands firm that he will not intervene with Manus. That the best he could do was hold the coming Abyss indefinitely, as was his duty. In the end he warns not to approach the Ancient Elder One, for he was more likely to destroy them then help.
- Seventh Arc. This could be when the S-Class trials take place.
- Eight Arc. The GMG is nearing and from these trials we're all phenomenally stronger. We wipe the floor with all the competition except The Unkindled. They prove just as hard as before but we're holding our on. Eventually we win the one thing that would allow use entry into the Ancient Elder One's domain. A inept fragment of The Space Between Time, thought drained of its magic it needed only the combined jump start of several powerful wizards to exert its remaining force. There the group encounters the Ancient Elder One, who at first supremely stomps them before being moved by their grit and deciding to train them. For though his duty was to defeat Manus, he had promised to never kill a human. Which puts him at an odds against a reincarnated Manus.
Ninth Arc. A final battle against Manus. We learn he has consumed Edolas in the Abyss, hoping to find the Holder Elder One in order to destroy the Caster and Ancient Elder One. He returns to Earthland and decides instead to rule, consuming all in the Abyss except Fairy Tail, for they were the only ones he deemed worthy enough to remain in his world. For they were interesting beings. We learn Manus' greatest secret.
@Noxxis Just so you know I"m still here and working on a character. Just having a bit of trouble picking the magic. Currently I'm still between either Cutting magic-magic focused around slicing, cutting things that normally can't be cut, cutting with things that normally couldn't be used for cutting, and keeping things separated that have been cut Or Bandit magic-Magic with the ability to 'steel' things like physical properties, thermal energy, and siphon strength and magical energy. (also don't worry as this one won't have the ability to steal spells or types of magic as I really hate those kinds of abilities.)
I kind of like the Bandit magic more since it's a different, but its kind of hard to balance.
@jynmi88 Anything you choose is fine really, I'm sure it'll be great :)
As for @Renny's idea, I think that it would be really good outline if the rest of you are okay with it. If that is the case and you guys are okay with it, then I'll transfer his post to the introduction post so we can look back at it for reference.
