Indra had to pull out of my rp just last night guys. I don't want to make assumptions but he probablt has to drop this too.

I dont know any details but he has some rl obligations that are preventing him from participating.

Aw, that's really depressing. Especially since he just joined. But if he does have to drop than I completely understand, real life comes first.

But we are starting to delve into the "why are so many characters appearing and then disappearing" scenario and I'm not too sure how smoothly this roleplay is going to go at this rate. Lol.

If he does leave, do we want to open his spot to another person or just keep to those we have?

@Noxxis

My personal preference would be to have a slightly smaller group that is dedicated. That way players are less likely to have to wait for someone to post. For me it is not a necessity to keep the current group size (8). I think roleplays such as this one with the focus on a single group would work just as well with a smaller number of players. In the end it is your decision as GM and I am fine with adding new players :)

Eight active characters works for me. We can divulge into two teams of four if that's the direction you want to go in.

Also I've been waiting for another post before responding to @Milkman but since it's been a few days I'll probably get something up this weekend.

@Noxxis So what do you want to do with Merry in the meantime? Should we micro her just to get our characters the train tickets then have her exit?

Okay, so let's just keep who we've got, micro Merry to get the plot moving, and keep going. As for the two teams aspect, we can definitely do that if we want to, though I was more hoping for a "Fairy Tail's strongest team" rp..
Seeing as we do have quite a few people though it might make sense to have two teams.

It's whatever you all wanna do really.

@Noxxis I was thinking of putting an abbys chaser mage inside the gambling hall and then connect it to the story line of the missing persons. Would that work for you?

That sounds fine to me @Milkman then we can get the first arc rolling and actually get some action going on! I've been dying to use Maya's spirits haha.

As for my reply, once @Animal gets a post up, I'll shoot mine your alls way as well :)

Got my post up, also... If we are going to go the two seperately teams route and kind of have them in competition with each other and what not as we go through the rp, we need to decide a few things.

1) who is going to be on which team and with who?

2) which team will go on which job? Are the teams going to go on jobs together? Which ones?

3) do we need to add to the plot arcs we have planned already to accommodate two teams?

I just want to make sure we all know what's going on ^.^

The moment when we split up in two teams both groups will essentially follow different story lines. I think the most important aspect when having two groups is that both groups have at least 1 player who is capable, active enough and willing to come up and manage the story lines for his group. Story lines do not always have to come from the same person in the group but it is important that both groups keep moving. You kind of want to avoid that one group is having the time of their lives while the other is lagging behind because no one feels comfortable in taking the lead story wise for their group. See it a bit as having one group headed by the gm and another by a co-gm. Both will need to communicate about when to persue different paths and how to tie both groups back together again to follow new plot lines.

The obvious pick for the first group manager is ofcourse @Noxxis. As GM he's in controll of story lines :)

For the other group I think having either @Animal, @Leslie Hall or @Milkman as a co-gm to drive the other groups story line. Those 3 players have a bit more presence in the IC/OOC compared to the others.

Once we have decided who is going to "lead" next to Noxxis we can look into what characters/players have great chemistry through roleplaying as a large group through the first story arc. Or we can make predetermined teams based on who we think will work together well :)

If we're willing to put in the effort, we can have a healthy mix of diverging storylines for some Arcs before bringing both teams back together for one major arc occasionally. It'll just come down to how well we can manage both groups so that every PC is contributing something significant.

I think atm @milkman and myself are sort of setting things up in a way where Tristan and Renard would gel quite well in a team.

But teams can also switch and change depending on the mission. We may even split into smaller teams for certain parts of the RP based on the skill sets of each character. Plus it'd be more interesting if we got a chance to RP with characters out of our teams.

I agree with everything said above, we can team up with both teams or switch and variations when needed but we should nail down which people go in which groups. I personally would like to request @Renny to be with me just because he came up with most of the original storyline and can help me push things along.

As for who else is on my team, I do not mind. Whoever wants to can take lead in the second team, you guys can figure that out :)
