It seemed like the idea of a mass tournament was a good one, having been latched onto by the other Dark Magical Girls. Or rather, it sure sounded like it; Touka couldn’t exactly tell with her face trapped in Kanbaru’s chest. The smaller girl gasped when the ice user had snatched her whole, holding her tightly as she praised the Student President’s ingenuity. Though Touka had all but confirmed Kanbaru was being overtly sarcastic on the matter, her voice dripping in exaggeration.
The cheeky words would earn her a yelp into her chest, Touka jumping as she felt someone give a playful slap on her back. Judging from the whooping holler that accompanied the blow, it had to be Maiko. Or Ami. The two-girl team was as bombastic and loud as their actions anyway. In any case, Touka struggled for a few moments more before finally wrenching herself up and out of Kanbaru’s grip. A nasty glare was shot up to the taller girl before she looked back at her rowdy Detention Club.
Chie was gone, so that only meant she had left to replace that desk. She thought she heard the redhead suggest they fight in their usual teams, but then again, everything was distorted in the world of Kanbaru’s chest. Regardless, they still needed to decide the privileges of winners and losers. And she had the perfect solution too, Touka opening her mouth to give an answer….only to hear her exact thoughts said aloud by Manami.
She spent a few seconds staring dumbly at the other girl before rousing herself out of the stupor.
“E-Er, yes, that sounds like a plan. Good thinking Manami! I’m f-fine with being the judge for everyone,” she said, doubting her own partner would bother to show her face at all tonight. She didn’t need to say anything more because Manami carried it away with her logic and reasonings, of which Touka nodded in approval.
That sounded fine to her. But they still needed a place to fight in-oh, she knew! Once again, Touka opened her mouth to give the perfect place for their duels. Then Kelly suggested the park, causing Touka to deflate a little. Well, that
was a perfect spot for seclusion.
“S-Sure! I think the park works fine! But, uh, I think we should keep the winner setup as is. It’s more fun if we look for gag gifts after all.”This time Touka nodded to herself, as if to mentally remember the rules she had just implemented.
“Alright then, everybody! W-We’ll host the tournament tonight at Miso City Park. You’ll be f-fighting in your usual teams and matched up randomly. Losing t-team has to host while the w-winning team gets a gift from the r-rest of the Club, regardless if they like it or not.” With those motions set, it wouldn’t take long for Touka to wrap up their meeting and eventually dismiss them all for the rest of the day.
They all had a few hours to prepare and speak with their partners for strategies, the time for the tournament having been set just as dusk was settling in Miso City. Hopefully they didn’t have homework or other tasks that would get in the way of their fun for tonight. Because as darkness was gathering for a time of mayhem, their light counterparts were experiencing their own breed of fun.
In the end, Mari would decline Luna’s invitation to dinner in place of heading home early for the night. To what Soma or Luna would do in their free time was up to them. But the Dark Magical Girls had a busy night long ahead of them and would be undisturbed by the lighter forces. Hopefully. As night slowly gathered upon Miso City, Touka would of course be the first to arrive at
Miso City Park.
