@Lord Zee - Indeed. As any general may tell you though territory is only as good as your ability to hold. Having a nice large home will provide for some interest conflict as this rather reclusive deity will have to strive to keep her tunnels from being usurped in the likelihood that someone takes an interest in them. Or you know, if the gods of light just want to make her day worse like always.

Decided to write some small details for the Ashen Guard mentioned in Azhriel's sheet. I've left one of them purposefully blank, in case any of you guys have some ideas you wish to impart. Otherwise, I'll write up something later myself.

@Kalas I always thought Theus would've made a good Ashen Guard. But making one of his daughter's one? Oh I love that. Also, must have been an interesting conversation between Theus and Azhriel. Because I've just quickly written a paragraph about the kill (for my first post cause I can't sit still...) and he basically got hunted down and played with by a giant blue, fire breathing dragon that is also a god for half a day.

@Dealdric Oops slipped by. I'll update the list of gods. I'll say what I told Kalas, magic will be fine, just don't abuse it

@Lord Zee That is an awesome map Zee. Thanks so much!

Here is a thing to consider for everyone. Is this a realm of the gods domains or the mortal realm? Do the gods actually inhabit the mortal realm? This has potentially awesome plot implications if the gods are resigned to living in the mortal lands..

EDIT: Working on a first post for Cimeru and some basic details about what era/tech level were at. (bronze weapons, low low tech)

Any thoughts on Iarus @Polybius?

Yes! Sorry doing my best. I think he would make a great younger god, as it would seem most of his ploys involve mortals.

@vega7 Still with us? I forgot to add Dao to the list

@Leotamer Had brought up working out a brief timeline to figure out exactly who the elder gods are, who was birthed first etc. etc. ?

@Polybius no worries, I was just checking to see if you wanted me to change anything. If he looks good then I'll get working on a post or something.

@Polybius I'd say the map is the mortal realm and gods are free to choose whether their realm is part of it or inhabits a sort of pocket dimension. Both sides have advantages. A pocket dimension realm is basically an inpregnable fortress where no God could be harmed and where they can work their machinations. However, it counts for nothing if you can't manipulate the mortal world. While those who keep their realm within the mortal world hold the advantage in influence, they are obviously more vulnerable.

@Polybius Stil here! I actually noticed that, I just didn't want to point it out unless you did that on purpose or something. I'll add his sheet right away.

I can change this around if need be, but to answer the questions in reference to Ferron as they are in my head :

I think Ferron is a middle-elder god, being born before human's propagation and Hayim and Iva, but after Agamemnon, Cimeru, and Oao. He is probably also younger than Ragnanodden and Sveiland. I am not sure if he was born before or after Anu, I will that up to Zee.

And for whether Deep Castle is the mortal world, or its own world. I think the first two layers (The dirt hovel and stone door) are physical things within the mortal world, but everything below is within its own plane of existence.

@Legion02 Okay, you're gonna need to explain to me who this Theus is. Because you haven't mentioned him before until now ๐Ÿ˜‚. I've just read Arda's sheet. Also, It's likely that the conversation either hasn't happened yet or would've only happened after the fact. Despite his efforts to remain unbiased in all things, Azhriel has a penchant for acting before thinking when it comes to things he wants.

@Polybius I'm with Legion's interpretation of the world, although I feel that even Pocket Dimensions should have some form of physical entrance in the Mortal Realm much-like Neberziel does

Whew, people are already having creations and here I intend to have Iva make all of their stuff in the course of the RP.

@Polybius

As for The Library and its surrounding lands, I think it'd be a bit of both. Obviously it has an access point in the mortal realm, but the Library itself and the area that surrounds it literally sits on the 'edge' of the world, (was planning on having their be a literal drop off point, even) and since I'm assuming this place ain't flat that's gonna be difficult if it's not in a pocket dimension/alternate plane or something.

To answer some questions in order...

@Polybius - Firstly I'm thinking Oao's realm would be concurrent with the mortal realm. Her true realm doesn't lie beneath The North Crown however. It has become her unofficial home ever since the sun drove her from her true home: The darkness between the stars which she was born into long ago, nestled safe within her egg. Ever since then she has been barred from returning by the sun's light ever since, even at night due to the light reflected off the moon's surface which gives it it's characteristic silvery glow. There is only one night each month where Oao can tap into the power of her realm. That night is the night when the moon itself is at it's darkest: the night of the new moon. For the remainder of the time she remains hidden up in The North Crown.

@Leotamer - In terms of chronology I'm thinking the order of which gods came first should start with the gods of basic elemental forces such as earth, water, fire, darkness, light, ect. After those would probably come the gods of humanity and after them would come the young gods. Just my take on what would seem like the likeliest order of arrivals.

Pocket realms are great and all, but lets not forget the world is in an Ancient State, usually a time when God's walk upon the earth and interact with it. A time when stuff is created, and ideas explored upon. The development of a pocket realm, at least in my opinion, should take time. It needs to grow and be added too instead of just, POW, you're done. But that's just me, and I won't knock anybody for how they rp. I think i'm going to have Anu basically be in the material world as of now, and later expand upon a realm apart from the material world, if certain events or circumstances arise.

I do agree that they should have a door in the physical world however, it could lead to interesting stories, maybe even some banishment. As for where Anu sits on the 'age' thing; She is pretty much what you could call, one of the last middle born, before we get to the youths.

@A Lowly Wretch Agreed with your chronological concept.

As for the map - I love it.

Sveiand prefers a realm within that of mortals, all the more to display his power. Amongst the stars itโ€™s all cold, whereas here he can ensure worship.

I'm not overly concerned with Azhriel's age, all I know is that he's younger than Ragnagedon. :P

Also, @Lord Zee do you think you could update your map to show the Pit of Ahael on that tiny island to the south of the map, just east of Verzak? So long as you don't already have something in mind for it, of course. I've been thinking that having the entrance to Neberziel so impossibly unreachable all the way underground is a bit obnoxious. Plus, being in somewhat close proximity to Ragnagedon's Realm kinda makes sense for Azhriel.

Oh! and you might want to check out Wonderdraft when you get the chance. It's still in development, but it looks amazing.
