History: Nomi's particular subspecies of Yapi came from extended generations on a desert planet in a neighboring sector to Maldra. Her kind were long before exiled from their home due to tribal conflict, leading to adaptations to be more efficient in the desert. This caused a more bronze fur color and better water retention ability. In addition, their stomachs developed to be able to eat just about anything with nutritional value, whether plant or animal, decaying or fresh. With these adaptations over time, the culture developed and thrived to be focused upon independent individuals helping one another rather than a tribal structure. This came about mostly due to each adult finding and overseeing their own area to hunt and forage as a means to reduce resource strain.

The Empire eventually found the planet's inhabitants, seeing them as subhuman primitives. As such, they made a designer virus, named CDV-312, to try and eradicate the population. The virus, rushed by higher ups, went into use too early and did not kill everyone. The fatality rate stayed at around 60%, thus leaving 30% of the population infertile, with all having damaged DNA, and often physically altered. Of that 40% remaining, nearly a quarter suffered a form of atavism, causing them to become nonsentient and aggressive. Nomi, 10 at the time, was part of the lucky few that kept sapient and alive. She suffered the infertility and DNA damage, causing her to suffer a form of gigantism and sleep paralysis. Her body was always in some minor pain. A passing ship stopped at their city for supplies, seeing the horrors of what had happened. Nomi lost her parents, so a couple adopted her and cared for her. This couple knew she had Force Sensitivity and let the newcomers know. A Fallanassi on the ship decided to take Nomi with her to teach their ways. Thus, Nomi spent the next 14 years off her homeworld, learning about the Fallanassi way of life.

She thrived in the group, their independent streak working very well with her natural inclinations for independent yet social action. However, by the age of 24, she could not keep a pacifist. Her distaste of the Imperials led her to leave her Fallanassi allies and seek out a planet suitable to find allies. Maldra was close enough and fit the bill. For the past two years, she has spent her time learning languages to help her find others that might hate the Imperials. She currently lives alone in a desert cave protected by permanent illusions meant to emulate the Sijin legends, causing most to not bother her. In this two year span, she has saved the life of a Mandalorian woman, earning her hefty martial training and a contact within the Mandalorian Enclave.

Not that she can actually aim all of them at targets simultaneously however, so the volume is primarily for intimidation, volume of fire and cycle fire used to deal with the fact that the overheating blasters were not meant for use by biologically fighters.
Engineering: University educated and with several years of experience maintaining the cis war machine Aranea is an expert mechanic and tinkerer specialised in droids and weaponry.
Basic piloting skills: While she won’t be winning any dog fights Aranea knows the basic ins and outs of a flying spaceship and can get you from A. to B. relatively smoothly.
Abilities:
Herch Physiology: Herch are larger than most humans, standing around 1.7 M tall, have tough exoskeletons covered in thick fur, 6 arms, 6 eyes and sharp teeth, making them a species you really don't want to get in a fist fight with.
Weaknesses:
Fugitive under a false identity: Aranea’s many escapades during the clone wars and after have resulted in a warrant being out for her arrest, or rather a warrant out for the arrest of her former persona. When she fled to Maldra she left her former name and history behind, or so she had hoped. Now that the empire is here she has to hope that her bleached fur, new name, falsified papers and the empire’s xenophobia will stop anyone checking to see if she is on a list.
Heat: we are in a desert and Aranea is covered in fur. This has the expected consequences.

History:

Born in an unremarcable brood on her species’ homeworld of Secundus Ando, Aranea was once upon a time a engineering student who became enraptured with the independence movements that erupted in many of the parts of the galaxy dissatisfied with the Republic due to the speeches of Count Dooku. As a result she partook in numerous demonstrations and clashes with republic law enforcement before the eruption of the clone wars. When the war did break out the last vestiges of the republic presence on the planet were driven out by Aranea‘s ilk, aided by the arrival of part of the CIS droid army. With her planate free and the fighting now mostly taken over Droids Aranea joined the Confederacy military to put her technical education to use, helping maintain the vast mechanical armies as they did battle through the surrounding sector, very rarely getting involved in the fighting directly.

Aranea’s greatest contribution to the cause was not in the clone wars themselves however, but in the subsequent Noolian Crisis that took place 18 BBY. The fall of the Separatist Alliance and the remote deactivation of their droid armies did little to dissuade many from continuing the fight for independence as many of the original rebels again took up arms. Aranea, along with many other Harch joined with Aqualish forces to adopt a guerrilla strategy in the southern regions of the Slice they called home. They began by raiding Imperial supply chains and medical centers to acquire supplies that could not be salvaged from the now mostly defunct droid army. Attempts were made to reactivate droids where possible, particularly the more dangerous units like Droidekas, but the expendable nature of most of the CIS army made this an inefficient time investment in most cases so most of the fighting was done by flesh and blood rebels. After more funding and arms came into their hands they began to take territory, capturing the worlds of Nooli and Galboron, among others, and even began to push into the outskirts of Bothan Space. During this conflict Aranea showed herself to be a ferocious fighter and her band of raiders, the razer fangs, where augmented by her personally salvaged/upgraded of CIS equipment and droids and as a result where a formidable part of the rebel's forces, performing daring raids and cunning surgical strikes that left the empire’s forces in disarray.

This all came to an end however at the Battle of Galboron however, where the Separatist forces were soundly defeated by Imperial forces lead by Captain Par Lankin. Aranea was one of the few who escaped death or capture, fleeing along with a handful of survivors on a raider vessel. Left without a cause or a home the Herch woman wandered the stars till she eventually wound up on on Maldra, a supposed haven for her rebellious kind. Here she attempted to make a new life for herself away from the Empire, putting her mechanical knowledge to use wherever she could inorder to make a living, her revolutionary spirit having been beaten out of her by the successive failures and the loss of so many comrades. But the past as a way of catching up with you or so it seems, and now that the Empire is here she fears it is only a matter of time till someone discovers who she was before she came to Maldra and she is arrested. This has left her, and those like her, with 3 long term options. Flee to the stars, disappear into the desert or die in a glorious last stand. As of this moment the Harch is currently still carefully weighing up her options as she tries to remain as unsuspicious as possible to the increasingly pervasive imperial presence.

Leonne "Loony Leo" Hist [+]

Weaknesses: Quick to anger/fragile self esteem just about anything will set him off, Knows nothing of diplomacy or using his words he couldn't convince anyone to do anything much less listen to him, downright suicidal uses himself as bait, throws himself into the thick of fighting even crazy enough to get close to jedi.
Motivation: Credits, and fame. To be one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy.
History: Leonne was born to a family who used him to pay a debt to pay back a gang boss who had turf on some of Coruscant's lower levels. Growing up into a life of crime, and murder wasn't much of a life for a young boy who started selling deathsticks, his main customer being some spiced out Twi'lek who tried to serve the boy alimony papers even though he was much too young to pay alimony. When he was old enough to hold a blaster he was used as fodder. Yet either due to luck, or some hidden skill he survived each encounter with his bosses enemies. It wasn't until his teenage years that things changed the gang had grown so large, and the boss had grown more ambitious that he didn't even notice or care about the internal strife among his own lieutenants, or the blatant favoritism some of them received.

That all changed when it turned into actual bloodshed, the boss found himself on the receiving end of a blaster pistol from one of his trusted advisers, and the gang fell into strife. It split into many factions, and subgroups which quickly began to blame one another for the bosses death. Fighting for territory soon came after and Leonne soon found himself in the thick of it once more. But even that changed, and the young gangster found love as the clone wars began. It started slow at first, he didn't even know the woman's name. But through determination, and willpower he found out her name was Lynessa. And the two began to spend more time together. Now fully invested in his relationship with Lynessa. Leonne sought a way to leave his gang behind, his boss seemingly let him leave giving him his good graces as he went.

For the first time in a long time the young man found an honest trade as a janitor for some of the higher leveled skyscrapers. Cleaning trash was no different from murdering the trash of Coruscant's lower levels. A year passed with Lynessa and the two were expected to have a child. But Leonne should of known he couldn't stay away from everything, that your past eventually finds you. His old boss had spent that entire time seething that he lost one of his trusted soldiers so he sent his gangsters after the young couple. Returning home from work one day he found his love brutalized, murdered, and he was ambushed by men he once fought with. The fight was intense, and by the skin of his teeth he managed to kill them, and go into hiding to lick his wounds. Using old contacts who didn't shun him in the underworld he managed to secure more weapons, explosives, and a safe house. From there he planned revenge against the old gang he used to fight with.

He started by killing the gangs lieutenants, and sergeants. Either by trapping them in their own homes and setting off explosives, or just assassinating them from a distance with a rifle. With his old boss growing more, and more paranoid with each passing death he eventually locked himself away trying to escape the mystery man who was murdering those closest to him in his organization. For Leonne this just set his plan into motion. Through bribery of the mans own guards, or intimidation he managed to gain entrance to his estate, and place a shaped explosive charge into the cushion of his old bosses chair. There he confronted the man who had killed his love, and his unborn child. Letting him know if that he ever stood that the charge would blast his ass straight through his head. From there he didn't care what happened, and left the man to his fate. He took the credits he managed steal, or horde. And bought passage off planet to join the bounty hunters guild. From there the man depressed, and damn near suicidal took the hardest jobs that they could throw at him. Sometimes working for the Separatists in the thick of the clone wars, The Republic, or just taking independent contracts. Whichever paid the most.

It wasn't long however before the Jedi purge began, and thus the downfall of The Republic. Contracts for any Jedi began to come in, and the man who had since earned his nickname "Loony Leonne" From the downright way he through himself into the thick of the fighting. His first Jedi was little more than a padawan not much of a fight. He managed to trick the padawan into chasing him straight into a ring of sonic mines. Using noise dampeners he was immune, the jedi wasn't so lucky, disoriented the jedi was an easy kill. A quick, and clean shot to the back of the head was his end. Even though it was just a padawan word spread that he had managed to kill a Jedi and he earned himself a little respect. Enough so that The Empire gave him his next contract. Hunt down, and kill a Jedi knight who managed to escape capture. He proved to be tougher quarry chasing the knight from planet to planet. Following old leads, and hearsay as he went. It took months before he managed to corner his quarry on some backwater planet, and managed to catch him by surprise with his rifle. The knight probably didn't even know he was hit.

After he collected his reward, he decided to travel around a bit. Not taking any contracts, and just enjoying the outer rims finest bars, and seediest establishments. It was here where one of his contacts within the guild spoke of Maldra. The Imperials were making themselves known on the planet, and the seedy planet was the perfect place for one to probably settle with a little bit of law, and order. Perhaps make an honest trade for him. So he gathered all of his credits, and went to the planet to start a new life, a new home.

• Roguish Disposition: Years spent as a Fixer have forced Dev to talk his way out of nearly any situation. He has managed to con his way from the Core Worlds to the Outer Rim. When talking doesn't work, a quick slight of hand to pick a pocket or trade out a Sabacc hand helps get the job done.
• Crack Pilot: While Imperial Records never show a "Devronian Gorran" being a member of the Imperial Navy, Dev goes on to tell stories about his time at the flight academy to strangers. When in the cockpit, he isn't the greatest. Regardless, it's hard to deny that Dev can pilot and hotwire nearly any speeder or ship he's run into.
• Gunslinging: Rarely found without a blaster, Dev knows how to pull the trigger and hold the blaster right. He isn't the best shot, but he knows enough to get himself out of a tight spot.
• Disguise: The Fixer's greatest asset is his mastery of disguise. He has the clothes and prosthetics to impersonate several powerful positions. While not perfect disguises, Dev usually uses them to "get in the front door" when on assignment.

Abilities:

• Universal Translator: One of the few subdermal implants Dev has, the translator grants Dev the ability to speak and understand any languages on the open holonet.
• Cybernetic Eye (Right Eye): When the natural eye can't capture the smallest details and changes, why not replace it. The cybernetic eye allows Dev to scan targets to help predict whether they are about to draw their weapon or if they are lying, among other things. He spent a lot of money (perhaps too much) to ensure that the cybernetic eye is near indistinguishable from a natural eye.

Weaknesses:

• Compulsive Liar: Dev has a hard time telling the truth, even when nothing can be gained from lying. Needless to say... this gets him in trouble with all sorts of folk.
• Greedy: Dev would sell out his own family if it meant getting him more credits. Wave the possibility of wealth under his nose, and you have the Fixer under your thumb. He may also have a slight gambling addiction.
• Coward: He's never stuck his neck out for anyone other than himself. While not a weakness on his own part, those trusting Dev to back them up when things get tough will be sorely disappointed. That is, unless there's plenty of money on it.
• Weak Constitution: He doesn't have much endurance. He can't run for too long, hold down much liquor, or take much more than a single blaster bolt even with armor on.

Motivation:
Wealth... so he can disappear for good.

History:
Not a whole lot is known about where Dev got his start. The story he's been relatively sticking to is as follows:

"I was the son of a diplomat on Alderaan. My father served our Senator. I had a nice life, and some of the best tutors taught me how to read, talk, shoot, and fly. But it was never quite enough. So when I was old enough, I stole my parent's credits and shipped off Alderaan in the family yacht to try my luck in space. Those Separatist folks sounded like they had the right idea, fighting for trade rights and whatnot.

So I ended up at a station on the outskirts of the midrim, and I got a little too drunk. I woke up to find the credits I had were stolen, along with my damn ship. So I stole some poor fella's cargo hauler and chased after them. Spent a few weeks tracking the blokes out into Hutt Space... and turned out they were working for a damn Hutt. If you've ever tried telling a Hutt that they stole from ya... well... then you know where this story goes...

I got off light. Ended up working with the crew that stole from me. They needed a pilot and an extra hand, so I stuck with them. Fella had a cybernetic arm and went by Rex Kincaid. He was a talker like you wouldn't believe. Trained me in the arts of negotiating and lying, to the point where I was able to out-talk even him. Another fella, a surgeon, managed to hook me up with a few extra tools to help me get by out here. I ran with that crew for about five years. They mainly served to travel to various spaceports around the galaxy and steal ships off the well-off for resale. I ended up being the "actor" to get us in, with a Slicer friend of mine setting me up with identities and disguises. Rex died when one of our last jobs went south. He was irreplaceable.

I was able to pay off my debt to the Hutt I was indentured to a few pulls later, and he decided to keep me around and pay me decently. So I worked as a fixer. I'd speak to folks who needed services done, and I'd make sure the right crew got that information. Of course, I ended up skimming a bit more than I should have off the top. Once Marlo found out... oh boy. Sent a whole host of Bounty Hunters after me. That was about... two years ago now. Once I was out with Marlo, I struck it out on my own. Moved around, stole back a lot of my clients and independent contractors. Was never meant to be permanent. Ran into spots of trouble, and figured I needed to hide somewhere a little better when a Twi'lek who seemed to be a little off his rocker gave me alimony papers for one of my burner identities. I jumped on board the first freighter I could, and I ended up here on Maldra.

Needless to say, I'm sticking around here for now until I get enough credits to make it big in the Core Worlds. I have plenty of burner identities left to get me to Coruscant once I've got enough credits. Until then, you have me and my fantastic wit to keep y'all company."
