Jett was slightly surprised at Roy’s response, He was hoping it would bring some sense to what he was doing. But in fact it only egged him on more. He crouched slightly praying that Roy was still just a bad shot with that attack as he was with his finger gun. Sure that his quirk wouldn’t magically turn on again at the last moment. However, he blinked and suddenly Kaida was in between them with her arms spread wide, yelling at them to stop.

His eyes went wide, Suddenly worried that Roy would accidently let go and hurt her. He lunged forward a few steps but stopped as soon as he saw Roy retracting his arrow. It was this time that Yukari jumped in as well. She said she was disappointed in them, which hurt for a moment, but he got more angry at what she assumed he was fighting Roy for. He was also slightly irritated that the two girls would jump in. He knew they just wanted to stop it, but it just irked him. It always did when ever he got into fights and people tried to butt in.

He shook his head even more when she said there were training rooms for fighting in the other room. Didn’t she get it? This wasn’t planned, it just happened. It would have had the same damn outcome in there as it would have in here. Sure more people would have been out of the way but still that's more of Roy’s fault for going all out. He gritted his teeth as he was about to snap at her for butting in and not getting all the facts straight.

That’s not why i’m fighting Yuki, and the same damn thing would have happened in the ‘training’ rooms as it did - she started to cry, which caused him to hesitate. He never saw her cry before, He didn’t have much time to think on it as Tomoe then yelled at them as well, she was crying as well. Why the hell were they crying!? It wasn’t like they were literally trying to kill each other...well maybe Roy was with that last one, but still. Fights happen.

He looked down as his fist clenched even harder. Stop crying. He hated that he and roy were the source of their crying. He had promised never to do that again. He wanted to say more but he decided to stop. He looked up to see Dulga trying to move them away as Mako was standing in front of Roy now, his bow gone. She looked back at him and gave him a disappointed look. Which, with two girls he knew better than the others saying they were disappointed, and that look from someone he admired...it hit pretty hard and cooled him off...slightly.

He knew he shouldn’t say anything, He felt bad that the girls were crying, but at the same time he felt angry and cheated at the same time. Saying something now would only make things worse. He looked over to Roy who looked absolutely defeated and accepting of what was to come. He took a few controlled deep breaths trying to think what to say, before looking to the door when Kenichi poked his head in acting all cheerful, then suddenly rereading the room asking what the hell happened.

We’re Just working through our differences... He said irritably. To him, as well as everyone else… After a few seconds and wiping his nose of blood. Through our fists... he said while shrugging, trying to play it down while Clearly it was much more than that, he was surprised at his own answer though, as much as he wanted make sure Roy never ever thought that he got here through his grandfather, and that he had his own hardships as well. He also didn’t want it all to look like it was his fault. Which… it kinda did. Even though Jett admittedly thought he could have been more tactful when deciding to annoy him, and just leave him be.

It looked like Roy was about to crumble from all the disappointed looks and comments. It's nothing that concerned anyone but us. It certainly didn’t call for everyone freaking out and running to get you Miss Mako. He said looking at the teacher while tenderly touching his nose to see if it was broken. He easily sounded confident that it was the truth with his matter of fact tone, Though she was sure to see right through it with those piercing eyes.

He looked to Roy, and added. It was just a show of will. It wasn’t like Roy was going to ACTUALLY shoot me. He was gonna get shot that was for damn sure. He saw the look in his eyes. But he didn’t want Roy to get kicked out for a brief lapse in judgement. Which would have been partially his fault. Right? He added looking directly at Roy, giving him a look that was clear he wasn't quite done with the argument, but at the same time to show he was willing to let it go for now, and that he should get on board with his story.

Mako sighed, and her smile shrank to something softer and more genuine, as she faced Jett. "You're right about one thing, Jett. I think emotions have run a little high for everybody in this room, the girls included. A heated clash of egos isn't anything new, and certainly nothing worth crying over. I ask everybody to calm down. Now, Jett. Think what would have happened without people intervening. You're both bleeding, and Roy was charging a light arrow. Do you really think that in five minutes the air between you two would have been cleared and all would be well again? Or, would you two just be even bloodier than you are now, genuinely resenting each other due to whatever was said to start this fight, on top of beating the crap out of each other?

No. You two need to actually talk about this. I am fairly sure it was a failure to truly understand each other, or a misunderstanding of some sort. Now, Jett, Roy. What started this fight? And it is a fight. I won't call this a spar for that would be an insult to sparring."

Seiko waited for Sakura to finish again, before yawning in the most obnoxious way, then smiling. "You really believe everything you're saying, huh? You believe I've done something so bad I need to apologize. Dunno if you know, but people don't want their Heroes to be vanilla, prim and proper boy scouts. Divas are in style, and I'm going to give the people what they want. I might owe an apology to Amane. I could understand that logic. But I don't owe an apology to anybody else. No other students, no members of staff, no members of the public, and especially not you and your clique, trying to police the rest of us. Oh yeah, don't think I don't know that this 'Komei Collective' idea is just another way to try and impose control on 1B. In Dungeons and Dragons terms, I'm not evil. I'm chaotic good. That's still a real Hero, Ms. Lawful Good. And don't even try and bring 1A vs 1B into this. The pranksters were 50/50 from both classes, and Amane isn't exactly our classes golden boy. Do you genuinely believe it's fair to call me a problem student, potential villain, shame-bringer to this school and all heroes, and conspirer to start a class rivalry? If so, wow.

Either way, this conversation's over. Any more false attacks on me and I might start crying,"
he finished, giving an exaggerated mocking pout, sticking out a quivering bottom lip.

"We’re just working through our differences..." Jett said irritably, wiping his nose of blood. "Through our fists..."

"Ah." Kenichi nodded sagely and stepped through the doorway, crossing his arms. "Yep, sometimes we men--"

"You're right about one thing, Jett. I think emotions have run a little high for everybody in this room, the girls included. A heated clash of egos isn't anything new, and certainly nothing worth crying over. I ask everybody to calm down." Ms. Mako said, sighing through a gentle expression. Which Kenichi didn't trust one bit. "Now, Jett. Think what would have happened without people intervening. You're both bleeding, and Roy was charging a light arrow. Do you really think that in five minutes the air between you two would have been cleared and all would be well again? Or, would you two just be even bloodier than you are now, genuinely resenting each other due to whatever was said to start this fight, on top of beating the crap out of each other?"

Kenichi wondered if he could say something, but then thought about the last time he'd had an extended interaction with the Villainess and how she'd tricked the class into getting detention. He didn't feel like getting slapped with some bullcrap punishment...besides, all he really would have said was that Roy and Jett probably should have just put protective gear on before they started the fight.

"No. You two need to actually talk about this. I am fairly sure it was a failure to truly understand each other, or a misunderstanding of some sort. Now, Jett, Roy. What started this fight? And it is a fight. I won't call this a spar for that would be an insult to sparring."

"Uh, Ms. Mako?" He couldn't help it. At least he raised his hand. "I think uh, all of us other students should probably get out of your way, huh? If any of the girls got uh, caught in the middle, I'll take 'em to the infirmary for you." He looked towards Roy and Jett and gave them both an understanding nod--then he glanced at Mako. He didn't like her, but at the moment she was the teacher, so...

Don't make two dudes who just got done being macho with each other spill their guts and show their emotions in front of a bunch of girls. He hoped, with all her claims of being able to psychic...psychopathy...psychologically analyze Villains, she'd be able to see what he was trying to do.

kaida lowered her hands when roy lowered his bow. She didn't get to say anything else when everyone else jumped in. She turned around when Jett started to talk back to Yukari, but he stopped as well. Why were they doing this? it seemed so stupid to her. She turned back to Roy when Mako suddenly appeared and disarmed him. But he wouldn't look her in the eyes again.

Jett started going on like it wasn't a big deal, which annoyed her a bit. It certainly was, and he wasn't being honest about it. However Dulga then tried to usher them away once again. She didn't want to go, but at this same time Kenichi also came in, asking what went wrong and clearly trying to get other girls out of there as well. She sighed as she looked at the two knuckleheads again. Her arms crossed under her cloak out of forming anger and that she was cold.

No one else got hurt... She said to Kenichi. But as much as she wanted to stay and figure this out... it did seem awkward for her to stay. She wrapped an arm through Yukari's elbow crook and said. "Come on. Lets go," She looked to Dulga to indicate she will follow her.

She looked at the two boys again. Idiots... she said softly.

Dulga Tarata

With Ms. Mako's arrival the situation was immediately defused. Roy seemed regretful but Jett was still mouthy. If it were just Dulga, she might've lost her temper and strike him, but right now cooler heads needed to take charge. Kenichi arrived and supported Jett's machismo, which just made Dulga start losing her temper again. But for a pleasant surprise it was Kaida who cleared up that no one else got hurt and wanted to leave. Dulga was all to glad to do so. "Right. Everyone out. Let Ms. Mako Handle this. Go back... Wherever." With Kaida and Yukari following, Dulga would lead the two girls out from the training room and back towards the dormitory. It wasn't even noon yet and already things were dramatic. She had hoped to ask Yukari and Kaida about the people who attacked them, but right now they needed to take their minds off all of that stressful stuff. And now that Dulga knew this she felt like she was caught off-guard; she wasn't exactly a very comforting person. Sure she could say sorry and be a bit protective but she was about as maternal as a double-barrel shotgun. "Shit. What've I gotten myself into this time?"

Once at the dorms Dulga had the two girls sit in the common area while she got them some drinks. Mostly just soda and bottled water. Once Dulga came back she went through the lines she made up in her head. "So... That was a thing." She immediately regretted saying that but had to follow through. Dulga wasn't going to quit so easily! "I... Just wanted to check on you two. When I heard you two where hospitalized I came to see you as soon as I could." It was a strange feeling seeing them in the hospital. They looked okay but at the same time they were so hurt. Dulga couldn't even really talk to them. "I didn't stay for long. I..." She didn't realize it but tears were starting to form around the corner's of Dulga's eyes. She blinked them away and tried to maintain her composure. She couldn't let herself loose her cool now of all times. "... I was really worried about you two. Still am. We're a good team together. I like you guys. And I... Understand how it feels. Being attacked by a villain, and getting hurt by them. So... I just want to make sure you both are okay. It's not something you should go through alone." These words felt weak to Dulga but at the same time it was almost like she was feeling a small weight lift off her chest. When her mother died she had no one to console with, not even her father. Dulga just shut herself away with her guns and mother's mementos until they had to move out. Even afterwards Dulga had nothing but thoughts of vengeance to keep her company. And now that Dulga was part of Komei, part of these other girl's lives, something had awakened inside of Dulga.

"I guess a part of me doesn't want that to happen again. So um... How are you?"

Roy Kusayanagi

Roy didn't raise his head to face Mako until the gym was cleared out, even then he still was a bit hesitant to speak. Roy was extremely thankful that Kenichi put in his two cents and helped clear out the the room with some helpful advice. As things were, he wouldn't have been able to even face anyone as he is right now. For a short amount of time, the 3 would be alone with a tall order to fill. Resolving what was going on wouldn't be no easy feat, well at least for Roy with everything that was going through his head. As much as wanted to come completely clean and explain everything, he simply couldn't as it would only damage the morale of the class even more. Telling the truth about how Takeshi is apart of the shadow clan and how he along with Roy and Kaida are under their watchful eye. It was important information, something that once you know you can not forget. Who's to say that they didn't have people working on the inside? There was only one, maybe two or three people that he could come to about the situation at hand, Mako and Jett were not one of them.

Jett claimed that it was nothing that concerned anyone else but it was a clear lie, at face value it would concern anyone in the gym. To be honest it didn't even concern Jett who had happened to be the one to catch the heat. Roy didn't lash out at Jett because of what he said, he lashed out at him because of fustration. Jett just happened to be the person to light the powder keg.

"It was just a show of will. It wasn’t like Roy was going to ACTUALLY shoot me...Right?"

Roy didn't answer this question, simply because he knew that he definitely WAS planning on doing just that. If it wasn't for Jett causing him to second guess himself as well as Kaida, Tomoe, and Yukari intervening then he would have let that arrow fly. Roy simple turned his head and took in a deep sigh, he would have to explain himself someway somehow, if he didn't then Mako would grow even more suspicious.

Best way to lie is by telling a little bit of the truth.

"He is right, emotions were running high for everyone...especially for me in particular...so I wont blame Jett 100% for starting things. If I kept myself in check then we wouldn't be in this mess...I guess I've been in my head too much for the past few days, being isolated didn't help much either since I was left with my own negative emotions and thoughts. Thoughts of wishing that I was better equipped for the situation that had happened, wishing that we weren't at the mercy of our foes. My emotions got the better of me...and I am regretful that it took the equally strong emotions of my classmates just for me to realize that me lashing out at Jett wasn't the best way to deal with it."

Even though it felt pretty good

Jett’s mouth twisted to the side in a grim frown when Mako turned to him and started pointing out the holes in his well...to say the least, ‘theory’ of how things would have gone. She was right on most of it. All of it except the ‘talk’ part. Like Kenichi attempted to agree with him, men can speak through their fist...or rather force of will. While it doesn’t work in all cases, the point he was getting across was that he worked his way here. Not gifted it.

He folded his arms and a looked away from mako, still not wanting to look at her softer yet still disappointed gaze. The girls left now, gaining a glare from all of them as well. He was glad they left though, he didn’t want to bring up anything in front of them. He was about to answer her, till he realize it was a rhetorical question with her answering it right away. She then asked a pointed question to the two of them, causing him to look at Roy, who then spoke up.

He blamed it on his own emotions and not being able to control himself… but in a round about way said Jett started it as well. Well in retrospect, calling him out for acting Emo for attention was clearly not a smart move. Clearly Jett wasn’t in a life or death situation with super evil villains who chopped off a 16 year olds arms and beat up a bunch of other kids. So how others would process it was different from him.

When it was his turn he looked to Mako, dropping his arms to his side. ”Never said it was a spar...and to be honest, i was poking fun at his attitude. Poor taste I realize it, but clearly he came here to get attention of some sort. I figured he wouldn’t to talk about it. So I acted like everything was normal. It what I did and needed when... He hesitated for a moment. Glancing away. ”...When I dealt with stuff.

Looking back to Mako he added, ”Then he blew up on me, saying how I don’t take stuff seriously, that I never had dealt with shit in my life. Riding on the coattails of my grandfathers fame to get in here, never having to work to have to get here. And that nobody understands him and what he had to deal with to get to where he is today.

He looked to Roy, as if to reiterate. ”Yeah he dealt with some serious shit recently. But to make that claim along with everything else just pissed me off. His thoughts turning Haruka and all that she went through. Her goals and dreams shattered with her quirk affected as well as her everyday life. If she didn’t move so far away, if they were together, he could have protected her. Or at the very least been there for her. Her loss of her quirk reminded him of his inability to control his, which of course lead back to that horrible day six years ago which could have been averted as well if he could control his quirk. It doesn’t give him the right to slander me and my reasons for being here. My best friend has lost more than him, yet here he is, all of his limbs and extremities...AND quirk intact.... Yet NOBODY gets the pain he’s in?

He growled as he bent down and grabbed the rack that had fallen over, and throwing it with all his might away from the others. He watched as it clattered as it hit the ground, breathing heavily as he forced himself to breath and calm down. His eyes closed and away from all three of them. Fighting back the growing emotion behind his eyelids.

Maeda Hitomi

Location
Training Room -> Infirmary
@Zeroth

Hitomi needed no persuasion from Dulga or Kenichi to leave. She'd have wanted to get out of there even without her Sheep Sense going haywire and her fight-or-flight instincts (specifically flight) getting harder and harder to control. Once she was out, her head began to clear. Tomoe had taken Acion to the infirmary a few moments prior. Hitomi had seen them leave, and had heard Tomoe's outburst. The others, Hitomi either expected to act the way they did in that situation, or didn't know them well enough. Tomoe, however, she felt she knew quite well, and she must be quite upset to have shouted like that. She should check on her, and Acion too.

Noticing that Dulga had taken Kaida and Yukari away with her, off somewhere to likely have a private conversation, that was likely about this fight. Mamoru still had not returned, though with Mako-sensei now dealing with the situation, Hitomi didn't think much more help was needed. There was no other reason for Hitomi to be here, and she decided that the Infirmary would indeed be the best course of action. Of course, Kenichi had offered to take 'the girls' to the infirmary, so the sheep girl decided to wait for him. After mere seconds, she decided not to and started heading there herself. He could just catch up.

Mako Akane

"How chivalrous of you," replied Mako, in a voice that was so sickly-sweet and exaggerated that it couldn't not be meant as sarcastic. She waited for him to leave, then looked back at Roy and Jett now that they were the only three people left in the once crowded room. She listened to them, and heard them out as they explained themselves. First Roy, then Jett.

Roy's motivations seemed to be very simple. After all the trauma and horrible experiences recently, he'd been stewing in regret, and possibly shame. Mao wasn't there. She didn't know what had happened. Even the official reports were spotty at present, but Mako agreed with the Principal's reasoning that the involved students aren't ready to be pressed for detailed accounts just yet. The scars are still too fresh. And this incident just proved it. Roy was blowing off steam. Blowing off steam by picking a fight. Even Roy himself couldn't justify it now that the rage was gone. He was just standing there looking sorry for himself and apologizing, instead of making...too many...excuses.

But Roy was only holding mere days of baggage in. Jett, it was clear, wasn't even close to scratching the surface of unloading his. He also admitted his faulty actions easily, and Mako mistakenly thought this would now be as easy as making them apologize and shake hands, but Jett started getting aggressive again, rising to a crescendo as his voice got louder, then he started shouting, then throwing the rack across the room. Mako sighed, but she wasn't even disappointed in either of them any more. Her expression was now much softer. There was almost something motherly about her.

"Well, I hope you can both start to see the pain that the other is in now, and maybe even acknowledge that you two are more similar than either of you think. I should stress that you're both first years. Of course you're no match for villains. Of course you're weak. That's why you came here. Nobody except yourselves is expecting either of you to be Heroes yet. That's what you came to this school to learn. By the time you graduate, the two of you working together might even be able to stand a chance against me. Now, I think we just need to calm down, and make up."

Roy Kusayanagi

Roy's anger peaked once again, Jett was clearly not getting the picture. Everything was me me me with that guy and it is really fucking annoying. Roy didn't budge as he watched Jett pick up and hurl a rack before turning around and looking away, he waited for Jett to finish shouting and throwing his little tantrum once again before going back on the offensive, verbally that is.

"YOU D-" Roy was prepared to scream right back at him but he remembered that he had to be wary of his surroundings in case someone might be listening. "You don't get it still, I never said nobody understands me, I said YOU don't understand me dumb ass. And I understand the situation your best friend is in, and that is the main reason I came here in the first place." Roy took a deep breath as he placed his hand over his chest, "Why do you think I don't take shit for granted? Why do you think I work so fucking hard? Because I was in that same situation, I had to stay inside for years, become home schooled, my body was frail and my quirk was killing me. I couldn't be outside for very long, it sucks, being the reason why others are miserable because of your own weakness fucking sucks."

The boy took a moment to gather himself, he was a little out of breath after his reply but he still had more on his chest to let off. "I didn't come here seeking attention, I've been stuck in my own head for the past couple of days, wishing that I was able to put the time spent into something productive. Since I'm not allowed to train until next week I came to watch my peers train and study their tendencies. If anything YOU were the one who wanted attention, you love being the center of attention. For future reference, you can have it because I can careless for it." Roy then faced Ms.Mako, it was clear on his face that he didn't have any plans on making up with Jett and that he was ready for this to end.

"If you expect me to make up with this guy you should give up"

He'd seen enough.

"You g-"

But could not say anything.

The moment he tried to intervene, it was like a bird with a broken wing. When the step was taken, he felt as if the weight of the entire world was crashing down upon him, but his hand saved him just in time as he was about to lose his balance. He swore he could feel as if someone was trying to sever him limbless. How deep was that feather struck in his leg earlier? It felt like it had gone through his bones or something. Dulga surely could not be taken lightly. But still, he found himself hanging onto the rail near the wall as he felt his world real again. He watched as the rest of the observers began attempting to stop the fight. But to no avail.

He wished it wasn't, but it upon closer inspection, he figured it would be impossible. This wasn't just a normal fight over who gets to have candies or shits like that. This was a head on ideological fight. And it was between two men. Of course he'd never approve such methods of solving their difference, but he knew shouting at them would only make the situation worse. Like he said, they would not make up if they were forced apart like this. He'd so much prefer a talk with at least one of them, but right now, one of his legs was virtually useless to say anything.

"Yeah I don't have the strength to intervene right now. Thanks anyway Kishimoto-san."

Supported by Tomoe, Acion slowly left the training room to the infirmary. After a brief check-up by Kiwi, he was healed up pretty fast, but she did recommend taking his time at the infirmary, as the wound was a little severe for a training exercise. He did not intend to disobey her though. She knew what's best for all of us.

Yukari Yozakura

When Mako showed up Yukari clenched her fists tightly. She was actually annoyed that the teacher was here as Yukari wanted to vent too. She was tired of being sidelined all the time. She didn’t want to just be some secondrate act. But she also knew she couldn’t just explode right here as much as she wanted to. There was a time and place and she knew better. But she still wanted to, so all she did was spit on the floor in disgust and followed Kaida out.

Anger was on Yukari’s mind as they walked away. Just angry at everything. Angry at herself, and the other students, at villains, and a bunch of other people who doesn’t directly have anything to do with what just happened. Yukari had always had to just keep a stiff upper lip and ignore her own pain and anger, so hearing about that fight, what Jett said, and how Roy reacted, it made Yukari just want to throw away her patience and vent too. She wasn’t sure how long she could keep pretending g everything was fine. When Dulga say her and Kaida down and asked how they were Yukari held nothing back.

”Feels like I’m just a goddamn clown here for everyone else’s amusement. That everything I’ve done amounted to nothing because either it never mattered in the end or someone else does it better. Like I’m just some second fiddle meant to hype up those other motherfuckers and I’m somehow supposed to be happy I even got a part.” Yukari spat out with vitriol and spite. In her anger she slammed her fists against the table and wanted to lash out, but all she could do was snap off a piece of wood from the surface. ”Those idiots playing some dumbass game of misery poker! Like hell it matters who suffered more! I didn’t come here to share sob stories and wallow in how shit life is! I came here to be a hero. So that people stop looking at me like I’m some poor blind girl who needs help and saving.” As she shouted Yukari’s eyes began to tear up. While she said these things she knew she was failing.

”After waking up from the hospital I wanted to use that opportunity to be better. Know where I stood and improve. But dammit… All I can see is that in leagues behind everyone! Jett beat me with household chemicals without even using his quirk! None of us could do anything against Amane before the principle had to step in, and he was going easy! I couldn’t even handle a couple of pickpockets before I got caught up by some crazy samurai who tore out a part of my leg.”

Slowly Yukari started to calm down as she let go of the table and just laid her head down. She knew in the back of her mind the things that she was crying about was her fault too. Because she really was weak and she’s just been lying to herself otherwise. She was so used to being the star attraction at the circus, she was a big fish in a small pond. Now at Komei her speed, agility, and uncanny precision couldn’t even overwhelm a regular physical ability, and that’s before any quirks came into play. And all of Yukari’s weaknesses seemed to only have gotten worse since she got here. ”It’s all backwards… Seems like I’ve only gotten worse since I’ve come to Komei…”

"New year's resolution: exist for more than a post every other month"
Toru Ayanokoji

As FamishedPants tried to think of yet another excuse for why he wasn't posting in an RP he was legitimately still interested in, Toru mulled over the recent events. Things got just a bit too serious for his liking between two of his fellow students, and the atmosphere suggested that more than just everyone's current mood was affected by this and recent events. Of course, as far as the zombie knew, this fight could've had literally zero impact on everyone else beyond surprise. His gut feeling was... not reliable when it came to social aspects. Though this may be because he doesn't really have feelings in his guts.

"yare yare daze"

I suppose not all problems can be solved by overusing arm puns, damnit.

Toru Ayanokoji couldn't say he directly felt anything but disappointed that things turned out this way. His attachment to everyone was about as solid as the one he had to his arms. But that didn't mean he wanted to watch them beat each other up. Were they not supposed to be heroes in training? Although Toru probably shouldn't be talking, considering his very passive nature towards his own classmates was certainly not much better in that regard. Still, these were individuals whom had decided they wished to become a certified hero. They should not be fighting amongst themselves so long as villainy existed.

Just like Toru shouldn't be so distanced from his fellow student body that he couldn't even properly joke in such a sour hour.

It was becoming very apparent that things much deeper than he'd realized were plaguing the school. He wouldn't call himself an expert at people, but Ayanokoji himself at least knew that a constant negative atmosphere with difficult events plaguing a school wasn't exactly normal, or desirable. And he... did feel like he wanted to change this. He wasn't sure how, or really why since he wasn't exactly invested in people just yet, but the feeling was there. And while he naturally preferred to avoid difficulties like this and focus on something easy and safe, like pretending none of this was his problem... something told him he shouldn't.

He had no real plan to magically remedy the whole school with magic, of course, but logically, if he was going to progress in a goal like "helping the school become unfucked", then he ought to start by building actual relationships with some of his fellow students to start. That 'friend' word was not something he could truly call someone just yet, but he did have an idea of some who may be candidates. So that is where he would begin his new adventure.

The zomboi lifelessly started back towards the dorms, for the time being.

Hopefully this stuffedtshirt guy ever gets Toru relevant :^)

Ruby Mamoru

Kasuke Mina

After such an eventful past few days, it felt good to get back into the usual rhythm of things. There was a small mental fight in her own mind which Ruby had to fight, as she felt disappointed in herself that she wasn’t there to protect her friends when they needed it the most. For an aspiring hero it wasn’t the most uncommon of feelings to have, however, that didn’t undermine how much it could impact someone. Especially Ruby, with such a defensive quirk which she regularly used offensively because she never had the chance to protect anyone, it was a heavy blow. Though, due to her usual outward demeanour, it wasn’t exactly someone one would spot instantly when looking at her, as the neutral expression had become a signature feature on the catlady’s face, one that should not be misinterpreted as apathy, even if it was ever so easy.

Due to the injuries she had sustained against the small spar with Amane, Ruby didn’t train much for the past few days. Not her hands anyways, as she had preferred to focus on her legs for a while as they are just as, if not more important as/than her arms and hands. There was no way she’d be falling behind anytime soon.

For now the catgirl could be seen roaming through the halls of the schools with an unlabelled book in her hand. No that is not correct, on closer inspection it became clear that it was just a cover for the book, one which hid the identity and content of the literature beneath. With her golden eyes sunk deeply between the pages she treated carefully through the long corridors, her goal were the dorms.

Another girl heading to the dorms right now was Kasuke Mina, who after the sparring session with Jett, was still a little red in the face, although no longer angry. She spotted Ruby also returning to the dorms, and walked alongside her. ”Good morning, Mamoru-san,” she greeted casually, in contrast to the last time they met, when Mina seemed cross about something, and was grilling her about Amane.

As it was usual for her, Ruby was mostly lost in her thoughts. Additionally, she wasn’t exactly used to walking together with other people through the school building so it was a surprise for her to see Mina, or rather, hear her walk alongside her and greet her in such a casual way. The neko kept up her pace as she was walking alongside Mina now but turned her head for a short moment to inspect her, before resuming her focus on the path ahead.
“Good morning, Mina-san” She replied back softly and politely.

”Kasuke-san” Mina corrected promptly, causing a brief and awkward moment of silence. She cleared her throat. ”Anyway, I was actually hoping I’d see you at some point. I wanted to apologize for the last time we spoke. I was rather highly strung at the time. I admit, I am still curious about your spar with Amane. Just one more question, and I promise I won’t mention it again. Who won?”

The reminder to call Mina by her proper last name caught Ruby only somewhat off guard. It was a really easy stop to the conversation dynamic so quickly into it, but from what she had seen from Mina this far it wasn’t exactly uncharacteristic. Though to be fair, the catgirl really hadn’t had many interactions with her anyways so she could be wrong regarding that. In any case, Ruby broke the awkward silence for a quick.“...Right, I apologize.” Before Mina resumed the conversation. Though the topic was basically as expected…
They took a turn to the right to head outside of the building, still on their way to the dorms. It seemed as though Ruby was right with her judgement that Mina seemed a little too obsessed with what had happened, at least she gave that impression to the blackhaired one.
Honestly, Ruby wasn’t even sure how to reply.

“No need to apologize, Kasuke-san, I can understand. And don’t worry about that, it was just a spar, we really didn’t go all out.” That was only a half-truth as they did get quite invested into it, however, Ruby just tried to downplay the event without revealing who actually won as she attempted to help Mina’s psyche out here.

Mina smiled a sad, wistful smile, though her eyes looked as if she’d just been punched in the gut. Ruby hadn’t told her she’d beaten Amane. Ruby didn’t have to. If it was a tie, or if Amane won, she’d had told Mina by now, just to get her to shut up. The fact that she was keeping it such a secret was basically an admission. Mina nodded, and tried to push her growing yet illogical and unwanted resentment towards Ruby away.

”You’re right. I should just let it go. It won’t help me. It’s just that I’ve never been beaten like that. It was the most humiliating, one-sided defeat I’ve ever experienced. I should expect as much from the big leagues. A place where the some of the best Heroes in the world are made. But a life of being the best wherever I went hasn’t prepared me for being such a small fish in such a big pond.”

Due to Ruby’s social inept personality and complete lack of skills in that department, she actually did not correctly interpret Mina’s expression and didn’t draw the conclusion that Mina had seen straight through her. Instead, the catgirl interpreted the sad expression in her eyes as a result of what was said afterwards. The neko could fully understand Mina’s sentiments though. She herself after all had to fight her way up from general studies after failing the initial entrance exam due to her quirk being utterly useless in that scenario. She felt blessed that she was allowed to prove herself on such a level. She felt like Mina could use the same thing.

“Mi-... Kasuke-san. I can completely understand those feelings, really. But I don’t think you can set Amane as the standard here. He is… way above most other students from our year, it is almost scary.”

They had by now finally left the building and were walking through the fresh air which caused Ruby to take a deep breath, her golden eyes gazing towards the sky.

“I don’t think comparing yourself to others is a good thing. In this world, not everyone is created equal. So if you want to compare yourself to someone else, at least compare yourself to someone who does not have a quirk which even pro heroes would be jealous of.”

Ruby replied, trying to cheer Mina up by putting things into perspective.

Unfortunately, it had the exact opposite effect. Mina’s resentment boiled up again, and her exterior froze over. ”It must be so much easier to say that about Amane for you. We both know that you won that sparring match. But you are right. We’re not all created equal. My quirk isn’t worth spit compared to my mom’s. ‘Seductress’. Sometimes I think I’d have been happier if I was born quirkless. Then I’d have given up on my dreams when I was five years old, and I could have gotten on with my life, being an exceptional, straight A’s student who could have gone into any career she chose.

But no. I was encouraged to follow my dreams, and to fight for them. I put my all into becoming a Hero to the point where it is now my sole reason for living. But I’m stuck under my mom’s shadow. It. Is. Suffocating. And the only way I am *ever* going to get out from under it is to surpass her. She graduated from UA the number two student of her whole year, so I need to graduate as the number one student in Komei academy. To achieve less isn’t an option for me.

So yes, I will compare myself to anybody who may prevent me from standing at the top. And who stands over Amane?”
Mina turned to face Ruby now, with challenge in her eyes.

They had stopped walking by now. It really was quite the eruption Mina had there, Ruby must’ve really hit a nerve there, is what the neko thought to herself. Her feline ears lower themselves to lay flat on her head to reflect her mood.

But in a way, Ruby could understand Mina’s sentiments. Despite her not having asked for Mina’s entire life story, the catgirl could at least somewhat relate, though in a different way. While Ruby tried to be friendly towards Mina, her face was rather neutral as always which was kind of contradictory, but certainly didn’t help the current situation.

“I don’t stand anywhere over Amane. I won a sparring match where we both did not use our quirks. You could easily beat a quirkless Amane.”

Ruby shrugged.

“Don’t try to pull yourself on my level, I am sure you are already above me by default, seeing how passionate you are.”

She added a pause to think but would keep on talking before Mina had a chance to reply.

“If you are that passionate about it then who am I to stop you. If you want to, I can teach you about Amane’s fighting-style, at least when he is not using his quirk.”

While Ruby wasn’t exactly interested in having a fullblown sparring match with Mina, all that desperation mixed with even more prevalent determination and passion was enough to get her fired up too, wanting to at least offer her assistance as a sign of peace.

Mina shook her head, a lot calmer after having vented half her biography. It really made you wonder whether she has anybody at this school with whom she ever complained about anything with. Did she just...bottle it all up? And if so, for how long had she been doing that?

“The Training Room is too busy, and even if it wasn’t, I….don’t want to go back there right now.” She flushed and grimaced, making a ‘tch’ sound as she remembered the wet willy. “But I would like to spar with you eventually. With our quirks. I’m going to accept your offer but save it for another day.”

Ruby’s posture was rather stiff as she shook her head quietly.
”I think you misunderstood. I didn’t offer to spar with you, I offered to show you how Amane fights from what I’ve seen at least. But I agree, let us do that another time, my hands still aren’t fully healed anyways.”

It was surprising to what extend Mina had opened up to Ruby, someone who was almost a stranger to her. Though maybe the bottled up emotions were just too much and Ruby, a rather quiet personality who didn’t talk much, was just the perfect listener for that? Though admittedly, Ruby was kind of interested in the obviously annoyed implications concerning who was in the training room. Asking right now seemed like a bad idea though…
Ruby turned her body to face the way ahead of them again. Honestly, being approached by someone like that made her excited, even if it wasn’t for the most… friendly reasons. But who knows, maybe they could become friends one day?, instead of falling into some rivalry because of Mina’s damaged ego? It would be the much preferred outcome for the catgirl at least.

“I don’t really care about how Amane fights, or anyone for that matter. In a no-holds-barred fight where both parties can use their quirks, I’m never going to lose because the other person was better at martial arts. I’m good enough that I could beat any student in this school in a contest of martial arts if I get lucky, but I don’t want to be a great martial artist. I want to be a great Hero.” Mina explained, before looking over at Ruby and raising her eyebrow. “There’s something you clearly want to say, or ask. I’m listening.”

” That’s quite the confidence you got there.”
Ruby replied to Mina’s statement regarding how she could beat anyone in this school in martial arts. It was a very bold statement to make and did say a lot about how Mina viewed herself, but Ruby didn’t really get held up by something like that, even if she disagreed.
The girl took a step forward, making sure Mina would continue walking alongside her before shrugging. “There’s nothing I want to say really. I just hope you don’t feel any resentment towards me for beating Amane, because I kind of like your determination so it’d be a shame.”
She said casually, even though on the inside Ruby was practically exploding. It was a similar feeling to when she talked to some of the other classmates she had made friends with, it was just so new for her. Never having had any friends just made it all the more exciting to actually potentially have some, yet it was difficult for her to express that emotion properly on the outside so she just came across as neutral and potentially cold, even if her voice showed no sign of hostility or negative emotions, moreso a lack thereof.

Mina’s response to getting called overconfident was simply to smile, and to let it slide. She knew, or at least genuinely believed, that she wasn’t overconfidence. She just knew exactly what she could do and believed that every claim she made, she could back up. What did get Mina’s attention, however, was Ruby saying that she liked Mina’s determination. Mina was not used to compliments, so it caught her off guard. She stared for a minute, before visibly smiling, with a softness to her features which is only ever there when she talks to Jett, or Donny.

“I’ll try not to, but thank you. This may be surprising if you think I’m overconfident but I am not used to compliments. I don’t really know how to process them. My determination, huh? Is that special? Everyone here is incredibly determined in their own ways.”

Seeing Mina smile was a welcome change. It made Ruby wonder whether people would think the same thing about her if she smiled more herself? Not that it mattered at the moment anyways. After all, Mina was more dumbfounded by a compliment than expecting it, at least for a few short moments. Maybe they weren’t so different after all.

”I can understand that. The whole not being able to process compliments.” Ruby admitted. Then she proceeded to say more with a slightly softer voice herself, clearly appreciating the change away from the rather tense feeling Mina gave off before.

”I don’t know if it is special. What I know is that my motivations just feel quite lackluster compared to some of the stories I’ve heard so far, and yours is certainly among them. Honestly?” Ruby turned her head to face Mina. ”I almost envy such a drive.” afterwards, she turned her head away and scratched the back of her head. With Mina seemingly more friendly towards Ruby, the neko had dropped her cold and neutral facade to make way for a slightly warmer and softer vibe herself. “Although I cannot envy anyone who had to face many issues growing up.”

By now, the two of them had arrived in the common room of the girl’s dorms. Mina took a seat on the couch as she looked up at Ruby to answer her. “Well, you used to be in the General Studies class, and with your quirk and fighting skill, if you were truly driven to be a Hero then you’d have made it into the Hero course easily. So I had a feeling you didn’t have a particularly crazy story. But that’s a good thing. Trust me, you don’t want one. That said, what are your motivations? What are your goals?”

The blackhaired one sat down next to Mina on the same couch and replied herself. “That’s quite the assumption to make. It’s not that I didn’t have the drive to make it, it is more like my quirk was quite useless in the entrance exam which is why I failed that physical examination. But oh well…”
She was sitting relatively stiff with her back in a straight position and her hands on both of her legs in a proper position.
”Don’t get me wrong I do have a drive to become a hero. I want to help people, be useful for society and most importantly make my parents proud and happy in becoming the hero they never could. Nothing dramatic though-”

Mina tutted, and appeared to back to her old icy countenance, but there was still a warmth to her, like she was enjoying herself. “First off, somebody who could best Amane in a quirkless spar can’t claim that they’re at a disadvantage when they can’t rely solely on their quirk. Second,” Mina paused as she held up her hand and made it glow. ”Your quirk is a lot more useful than mine in the first place. The desperation that I fought with in that entrance exam. The motivation that if I failed, I genuinely didn’t know how I could move on from there. The need with every fiber of my being to pass even if it killed me. That’s what I meant by the drive you lacked. Without that, I’d have probably got the lowest scores in the school. I’m a lightbulb, Ruby. You can freeze things in place with a touch. If anything, I should be envying you.”

While her stare was as deadpan as always, Ruby actually had to hold back a laughter when Mina mentioned being a lightbulb. It made a funny image appear in the neko’s head, one of Ruby with a lightbulb where her head would normally be but she quickly threw away that thought to focus on the conversation at hand.

”While I won’t deny that my quirk might be more useful at face value, I suppose both of our quirks are similar in the way that we need to be quite creative to get a good use out of them. I’ve got techniques that I developed which make my quirk quite good.” She said confidently. ”Considering the fact that you are here I can imagine that it is the same for you, Kasuke-san. Admittedly, having a quirk which looks very one-dimensional on the surface and developing moves and skills that surprise everyone is kind of fun for me, I wonder if you think the same way. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious about what you thought of.” The last two sentences almost sounded like Ruby intended to just think them but they slipped out accidentally.

Mina sat back, and smiled again. “I don’t want to give away any of my fighting techniques in case we ever have to face each other in an exercise, or in the tournament. But I can tell you a few of them. Like, I could emit UV light if I was at a crime scene, for example. Also, though I can’t do it yet, with practice I hope that one day I can emit microwaves that could scramble radio frequencies.”

Mina was about to ask Ruby what applications she’d though of, when she heard a clatter of multiple footsteps making their way towards the girl’s dorm common room. Mina turned to face the noise as Dulga burst in, followed by Kaida and Yukari. They sat together at the other side of the room, and though Mina couldn’t hear everything that they were talking about, Dulga seemed quite mellow, and the smaller, sweeter-looking girl was getting quite worked up. Mina could hear a few curses. Just what had Mina missed that could bring about a switch like that?

Kaida smiled for a moment when she was offered a water and took it but held onto it. It was till too cold for her taste. But she looked between the two as Dulga started to talk. She was taken back however really quickly that Dulga was...well CRYING. She never saw her roomate do that in the time they spent together.

It seemed she felt bad that she wasn’t there for them, that they shouldn’t have been alone...but she wasn’t...Roy, Takeshi, Reina and Michiko were with her… but she knew what she meant. Though even after, her Uncle and cousin were there with her...along with the others. Sadly she really didn’t notice that Dulga had left for a while because she was so excited about regaining part of her family.

Kaida reached out and grabbed Dulga’s hand and squeezed it tightly with a warm smile on her face. But before she could say anything, Yukari let out her own rant. Causing Kaida to jump a little, not expecting that from her, her eyes wide as she listened to what she had to say.

She looked down as she thought about how she was handling things...clearly everyone was feeling the pressure of dealing with such evil… or being attacked by some villain. She was just glad they were alive still. She didn’t want to say anything because she grew up with a horrible father… so it was something she was sort of used to… being abused mentally and physically when ever she made a mistake.

While her arms still hurt from that cold… she was able to cope with it. She looked to Yukari, and said softly.”I just wanna say that I don’t see that at all when I look at you Yukari. You are not some second act, who needs help. The fact you are here despite your ‘handicap’ shows how great you really are. To add to the fact, we just finished out our first week of training...everyone has growing to do. So don’t beat yourself up about it okay?” Her thoughts turned to the video showing the battle between Jett and Yukari. ”And from what I saw. The moment Jett saw you, he tried to get away. Like he knew he couldn’t beat you head on.It says a lot because from what I’ve seen of Jett, and from I’ve heard. He’s trained for this since he was little. He’s near the top of the class, And he seemed to know your abilities first hand so that was a little unfair advantage. But despite that, he was scrambling to get away from you. Which shows he respects your abilities.

We also have so much to learn so it always seems like it we are leagues behind everyone...Even for me. That's why we need to help each other.

She looked to Dulga and smiled at her. “Just knowing you gave me your cloak meant worlds to me, more than any words you could say. I know you were there for me. Even in spirit.” she added remembering she left for home soon after.

Knowing she didn’t answer yet for herself, she glanced over and just noticed Mina and Ruby were talking to each other, just out of reach of ears. She tightened the muscles in her neck for a moment, in an almost wince that they walked in and started a ‘ruckus’ without even seeing them. .

She looked down and pulled her hands into her lap. ”A-as for me… I’m ok… yeah I got hurt...and I couldn’t really do anything to help, but their quirk was my exact weakness.... I felt worthless as well….unable to do anything. I literally froze. And I felt horrible. She blushed as she was feeling like she was rambling… and that she was saying things similar to Yukari.”BUT I…I realized afterwards...with the help of My Uncle...that I’ve never been in a fight like that at all… I was pretty sheltered growing up...and only quite recently started on this path to become a hero. I have a lot to learn. “

She looked back to Yukari…”People deal with trauma in different ways... She frowned as she realized she gave both Jett and Roy dirty looks. Realizing now that could have just made things worse… ”I know Jett and Roy never act like that normally. So they might be hurting in ways we dont understand… just like us...

Shaking her head. ”sorry I’m rambling...

After taking his breaths he looked down at the stuff that was knocked over. He was sure that he was going to be forced to clean up...so he bent down and picked up another rack, setting it up and placing some of the stuff on while Mako was talking. He did listen to her...he just couldn’t bare to trust his eyes if he looked back. He didn’t want them to see the redness in his eyes.

He gritted his teeth when Roy started off again. Gripping the items tightly as he continued to pick up the stuff. He stopped as he tried to ignore the fact that he claimed he understood what Haruka was going through. The dumbass didn’t even KNOW her! He quickly turned around, not caring anymore. He quickly moved towards Roy.

“You understand!? YOU?! I’m sorry, Did you have your leg amputated? Part of your quirk taken forever!? Did you have to put a hold on your dreams to NOT come here?” He stopped, not waiting for an answer. “How about getting here, and on your first damn day losing the ability to control your quirk again? HMMM? No didn’t think so. After spending most of my life just trying to get control of it, being constantly afraid that it just might go off and plop me in front of a damn bus. Or even worse, not being able to save your sister from getting hurt. “ He choked up for a moment and looked down.

After he got a hold of himself. He said very calmly ”So yeah, I get that. It sucks. Being the reason of the pain in your families life. So yeah, I try to distract myself by being in the middle of things. He looked right at Roy for a moment, while he could see the similarities in their lives, he didn’t want to talk to him anymore. He turned back around and started walking towards the Rack he threw earlier.

”Ms. Mako, I’m sorry for causing a scene. I Don’t see us actually making up either. But I won't cause any more trouble with him.” he said as he started picking up things once again. ”ill make sure the place is clean before I leave.” he added in a monotone voice, clearly stuck in his own thoughts now.

Dulga Tarata

Feeling Kaida's hand Dulga wiped her eyes with a handkerchief. Seeing Yukari shout and cry made Dulga calmly reach out to the girl as well, wiping away her tears with a spare handkerchief. Dulga had to compose herself so she could properly listen and speak to these two. After Yukari's rant Kaida also spoke up, being much more calm and helping calm Yukari down. It was a valiant effort, though Dulga didn't exactly do the same thing. After Kaida finished speaking the taller girl took a moment to consider her words carefully before speaking to Yukari. "You... Aren't wrong about how you feel. You are weak. And right now, acting very pathetic." Dulga paused a moment to let these words sink in. She knew how harsh they were so she'll let Yukari say something, but regardless of what she did Dulga would calmly continue on. "Cursing yourself for not being strong enough, cursing others for being better than you, it's sad. I wish I could say I've never done that, but... I understand it. And it's easier to accept that life is unfair rather than think that somehow, you did have the power to make a difference but failed to do so."

In that moment a flash from the pass went through Dulga's mind. How she had chosen to stay hidden in the forest, avoiding the fighting, despite being stronger than her mother. She could have helped. She could have picked up a gun and fought back. Picked up a weapon and smash it into Kensai. Just be a distraction that could have given her parents an opening to defeat him and potentially save her mother's life. Saying that Dulga was just a child, that she was told to stay back, that the threat was a powerful villain, those were all excuses for the weak and cowardly. A hero was suppose to be better than that. A hero could have saved Dulga's mother. But there was no hero that day.

"It's never easy... All you can do is make sure it never happens again. You're still here. You're still alive. If you hate what happened in the past, than you need to make sure it never happens again. Train, study, prepare... Or runaway and hide. I think we all know what option you choose. You said it yourself; you didn't come here to wallow." Dulga didn't feel satisfied saying this however. It felt very... Cliché and pretentious. There was one more thing she wanted to add that she hoped that Yukari could understand. "It's fine if you hate yourself. I think if you were completely confident in your abilities and couldn't see what you did wrong, you'd be insufferable. As long as you're aware of your faults and do something about them, you'll do fine. I'd given up on you a long time ago if you were the type to accept your weakness and did nothing. Or worse be proud of it."

As for Kaida, Dulga smiled and blushed when she mentioned the cloak. Dulga had almost completely forgotten about it. She just remembers that she doesn't have it anymore. It also seemed like she was also feeling somewhat bashful about what happened, though Dulga didn't realize that Mina and Ruby had just arrived to the Dorms. She was too focused on the girls in front of her. Kaida had some help from her uncle to deal with her trauma, though she also admitted that this sort of thing was something she wasn't used to. It was a hard pill to swallow, but Kaida was right; the reason each of them had done so poorly in their respective traumas was simply because they had no experience in dealing with real villains. They had hopes and dreams, the drive and ability, but they were still naive to real combat against villains. This was a bitter truth that even Dulga knew she couldn't really fix; she could train here or at home as much as she wanted, but hunting wolves and sparring against her fellow students can't possibly measure up to fighting a villain who wants you dead. It was just on a whole other level.

It was moments like this that made Dulga despair. The obvious solution was to go out and find villains, but that was easier said than done. And while Dulga would have no problem with it personally, she was more than aware of the rules that prevented hero students from just going vigilante and hunting down criminals themselves. If she was just doing this for herself, Dulga would have left Komei long ago to hunt down villains and criminals to hone her skills. But she can't put the other students through that. Dulga can't drag them down with her. Aside from that, there was still the issue with Roy and Jett's fight. Frankly Dulga wanted to forget about them and dismiss their fight as petty boy drama. Dulga was also getting increasingly tired of the trite love triangle going on between Roy, Jett, and Kaida, and Dulga was well aware of the other girls who had a thing for Jett too. One of the reasons Dulga stays away from the boys was just to avoid that sort of thing. She didn't have anything productive to say about those two, so Dulga elected to keep quiet about it.

Instead Dulga wanted to focus on things she could handle. Growing stronger, improving one's self, gaining experience. Dulga had to remember something she promised herself over the weekend; she needed to learn how to cooperate with others. Teamwork makes the dream work. Kaida and Yukari were people Dulga had confidence in. Mina was also very skillful, though Dulga didn't want to facilitate drama between her and Kaida. Acion was still a weirdo to Dulga, but he seems to have mellowed out since their first interaction. Everyone else Dulga didn't like or just didn't know very well. Though the two pinkettes did cross Dulga's mind. Tomoe made Dulga wonder just how she managed to get into the hero course considering her quirk and personality. Mamoru made Dulga wonder how she managed to survive the hero course considering her personality. Dulga couldn't quite say she disliked them, but she definitely felt that she needed to do something to shape them up. Then an idea struck.

"How... Would you two like to come home with me? Back to my family's home? It's in the mountains of Hokkaido. We could train there. Work on erasing your weaknesses so we can all become stronger. Not all of us has to go but... If you're okay with it, I'm willing to help anyone who wants to improve themselves." Dulga blushed in embarrassment. She's never done anything like this before. But she wanted to do something to help and this was the best she could think of. "You don't have to answer now, it's a lot to think about. Honestly it might not even be a good idea... But... I want to try. Try to... Do something different. I've always hunted alone. Fought by myself. But when I worked with you two and Akasha during that team fight, I think I learned that working together can... Help make everyone stronger. I don't know how I'd do that here, at school. But if we're in the mountains, in my element, I think that'll be a good place to start."

Reina Mori

Reina smiled, turning her head away to help conceal the light blush on her cheeks, relieved that the boy didn't seem to be looking for a quick exit.

Even though there was really no actual need to, she shifted over into Takeshi just a bit more as she reached over the table with to rummage through the bag of food, pressing her arm into his more.

The girl gazed at Takeshi out of the corner of her eye with a bashful smirk. She was... pretty socially inept sometimes, but even she wouldn't have missed the meaning behind her words about the amount of food.

"... Take a hint, Take-kun..." she said, heart skipping a beat when she managed to say the nickname aloud without stumbling. Her face was still warm, but it was starting to bother her less--despite the shyness and embarrassment she may have been feeling, it was a nice version of those things. That wasn't something she would have ever considered as possible even just a month ago. It didn't matter if Takeshi saw her face being a little more red than usual--his was doing the same after all. For now, Reina was happy, and she wanted to enjoy that.

The girl deftly opened a small container of sushi before rummaging through the bag and finding what she wanted a small handful of chopstick packets. She dropped one on the table directly in front of Takeshi, and ripped open another for herself with the help of her teeth.

"This is my gift, and I'll do what I want with it," she said grabbing one of the rolls with her chopsticks and lifting it towards Takeshi. "And what I want is to share it with you. You helped protect your sister just as much as I did... and you protected me as well, even if I maybe didn't need it as much." The normally shy girl's smiled widened, both at the stubbornness she couldn't hold back, and at being able to truly express herself for the first time in years. "So thank you, Take-kun. Food I didn't even make myself isn't enough to fully show how I feel, but it's just a start... and anyway, it looks really really good, so me giving it away actually is kind of a big deal." Reina giggled a bit at her own joke, feeling silly for it but not really caring. It was refreshing. "I wouldn't share it with just anybody."

With that, the girl moved the sushi held between her chopsticks an inch closer to Takeshi, a flash of mischief overtaking her. Unable to stop smiling away, she opened her mouth slightly and made an 'ahhh' noise, eyeing the boy for his reaction to the apparent imminent bite she wanted to feed him as she pushed the food closer and closer.

"Just kidding--it was made for me, so I get the first bite," she said through her grin, fighting back a small laugh as she moved the chopsticks quickly to her own mouth.

"Ahh, Michiko is talented!" she said, stopping herself as she realized she was speaking without having finished the bite. A second later, she continued. "She must cook often?"

"How do the proper teachers do this for a living?" Mako muttered to herself as she dropped the smile and her voice was no longer fake and saccharine, but unusually yet naturally deeper. She pinched her nose and sighed. "Alright, I can see trying to get you to make up isn't going to work. You've convinced yourself the other one doesn't truly understand, and you're not going to change your minds about that. Maybe neither of you do understand each other after all. All I know is I tried getting you to hug it out through my own efforts. Still, I can't just walk away and let you hold grudges against each other. I need to do something before you avoid each other, and the resentment turns to real hate. So, you two have detention. Together. Every day after school. Might give you two a chance to actually open up and tell each other your secrets instead of having a meaningless contest about who can scream 'You just don't get it!' the loudest, not realising that how can the other person get it when you don't talk about it?"

Mako left them both there, and turned away, heading out of the training room. She needed a drink.

Tomoe supported Acion with all her might so he wouldn't need to walk on his hurt leg. It made it clear that Tomoe wasn't in any mental or physical shape to carry him. She had rarely ever trained her own stamina or muscles so it was quite a challenge. Her constant sobbing didn't help much either. Her girl crisis that she shouted at someon and her good friend at that made her go in and out of tears. Giving long preaches to the winged boy. Eventually they made it to the infirmary though. Kiwi wasn't sure who was the hurt one at first with Tomoe her constant crying but it all ended up just fine with Acion all fixed up again. He had to take it easy so he would be staying at the infirmary for just a bit. Tomoe was near him so she wouldn't be all alone right now. She knew Hitomi was there but she wouldn't want her roommate to see her like this.

"A-are you still h-hurt A-kun. K-kiwi is quite good at t-this I suppose. M-my head d-doesn't hurt either, f-from before..."

Tomoe turned quiet as she stared at the ground. Her face began to get a little red as thoughts shot into her mind. The perverted girl could get dirty thoughts as well? Oh my.

"H-hey a-a-kun, can I-I sleep on y-your lap or b-belly. I-I mean as comfort o-off course! No-othing dirty!?... M-My p-parents and R-Roy used to d-do it to comfort me... So... I-if you d-don't mind o-off course, hehe..."

Tomoe was bright red. She had seriously asked this after that conversation with Hitomi. What would she think of this right now. She knew Hitomi had Acion hooked and didn't mean ill with this but she did feel kind of dirty for doing it at least.

"Pretty please..."

She said with a bright red face glancing up at him as her eyes were still red from before. Looking as if she was about to cry again.

Mamoru arrived into the training hall just to see things wind down to an end. Mako had arrived and largely defused the situation whilst everyone else was leaving. Mamoru didn’t say a peep, but neither did she leave immediately. She largely stayed out of sight to listen in on Jett and Roy, When Mako finished off by giving them both detention, Mamoru left to mull on her own thoughts. Thinking wasn’t something Mamoru liked to do very often. It was way too easy for her to start loathing herself. Even now having listened to Roy and Jett, Mamoru questioned her own conviction. She didn’t have any tragic reasons for being here, no real drive beyond a simple dream. Her childhood had no hardships or drama. Even now she lived in blissful ignorance as everyone else suffered from the hands of villainy. Mamoru didn’t even have the courage to go see them at the hospital out of reasons more related to her own self pity rather than any sympathy. ”Ah, here I go again, always trying to make this about me.”

She needed a distraction. If she left herself idle for too long she’d just start questioning why she hasn’t done this or that and generally feeling useless. She had homework to do but frankly she doesn’t really want to do it. She thought about going out into town but she didn’t know what she’d do. Then she had an idea; she should go visit Reina. Last Mamoru checked she never returned from the hospital. Though as she thought of this, Mamoru’d doubts began to creep into her thoughts again. ”Nope. Don’t think about it. Right now just find Reina. Get her something nice like oranges. Maybe some notes from class today, I’m sure Reina would like to keep up.” And so Mamoru, after a quick shower at the dorms, changed into some casual clothes and went to the hospital. She brought a bag of mandarin oranges along the way as a gift.

”Being a hero is about the things you do for others after all. If I only did it for myself, I’d be a terrible person.”

Donny calmed down as Nia showed him that she wasn’t bleeding. He was rather embarrassed; he had jumped the gun so quickly. He stayed quiet as she showed him the new fruit as tasted the mango-tasting melon. It was good. When he looked at Nia again he could see that she was also embarrassed. Then he noticed the smell. A very fruity scent. Donny remembered that this smell bothered her since it attracted animals and, as Donny knew well, smelling weird made people talk about you. And not in a good way. He needed a way to distract her. ”Oh. Uuuuuuuh hey! I know! I-I-I-I could cook something!”

Cooking was one of the few things Donny felt he could do confidently. He didn’t know people well enough to really work out a way to calm Nia down, but if cooking could help her forget her problems than it’ll help Donny with us. He stood up and when the tomatoes grew back he plucked a few of them. He also plucked a few mango melons too. He had an idea for both of them. ”Ah, w-w-w-would you l-like to help me c-c-c-cook something? I-I-I mean, theses are y-y-your fruits after all! You should be allowed to h-h-h-h-have some.” He wasn’t sure if this was a good idea, but he just wanted to try and draw attention away from the smell and Nia’s appearances. Focus on him a bit so she didn’t have to worry so much about herself.

It wasn’t long before Sakura returned to the 1B homeroom. At the moment, Asahi, Retsu, and Doll were there working on paperwork and reviewing documents. A lot of them had to do with the Komei Collective, but a few also covered some rules and laws of the school pertaining to the little incident that Sakura went over to deal with. Retsu looked up to the stoic pinkette and smirked. "No use huh?" Sakura sat at the desks and took a pile of papers to review. She adjusted her glasses as Doll handed her a bottle of water. "Of course it didn't. Honestly... Why even waste time with it? There's more important work to do." The documents Sakura was looking over covered student conduct both inside and outside of school grounds. Specifically, in regards to using one's quirk during scenes of criminal activity. It was already highlighted in some areas but Sakura seemed particularly analytical about these sections. Retsu stood up and stretched. "Now now Sakura-chan, just because things are starting to heat up doesn't mean we throw all the rules out of the window. The school is busy investigating what happened this weekend, so of course they can't be bothered to actually deal with issues like our resident Drama Queen and the Edgelord. It wouldn't look good if we just ignored it either, trying to bury bad news other controversy." However this answer didn't satisfy Sakura as she looked directly at Retsu.

"That's not what I'm talking about. We're still investigating the Cellphone Killer mystery, and you're dividing everyone's attention with this collective business and now peacekeeping? Is this suppose to be another one of your schemes?" Sakura said accusingly. Retsu, as always, just smiled and raised her hands up defensively. "Chill Sakura-chan. I know it's stressful for everyone right now. That's why I wanted the two hardest working people in my team to cool their heads. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to try and make you talk down Seiko-san, but you've been losing sleep on all of your research." This just made Sakura rub her eyes in annoyance as she sat down and took a sip of water as well as an aspirin. She continued to flipped through the papers but she wasn't really reading them. Just flipping through them as a means to distract herself.

"Chill? You want me to chill? When you want me to research rules and regulations in twenty textbooks about law and academy code, while we're racing against the clock against some rumor about a serial killer, while there may be a possibility that Paradise is on the move? And your idea of me chilling is to be annoyed by some flamboyant cock who'd sooner shoot himself in the foot than to think he messed up somewhere?" Retsu shrugged and kept smiling. "Never said anything like that. But that is what I'm worried about. You're getting ahead of yourself trying to go a mile a minute. It isn't like you to be jumping to conclusions-" As Retsu said this Sakura stood up and looked at Retsu harshly, slamming the book she had on hand down onto the table. "Lives are at stake here Retsu, we don't have time looking into false leads or getting distracted with petty student drama! Am I the only one who thinks we need to focus on the task at hand!?"

It was then that Asahi, who had been busy doing a conference with some other collective members on his laptop, spoke up. "You're losing sight on what Retsu asked you to do! You're suppose to be finding out how he's managed to escape investigation. You think he's been exploiting some loophole in the law when it could be something much simpler. That's why she had you look into that little prank so you could maybe find some sort of revelation from it." This only angered Sakura even more however, as she disliked their roundabout way of trying to explain themselves using metaphor and allegory. She said as much. "These are two vastly different examples, and we all know that no one is ultimately getting punished because there's bigger things to worry about! No one cares about what happened to Amane! I doubt even he cares! No one died, barely anyone knows about it in school, and the only reason we're looking into it is because you two don't seem to have anything else better to do!" Retsu just sighed again and sat down. "There you go again making assumptions. Look at yourself, Sakura-chan. You're chasing shadows and trying to make something out of nothing. And you know as well as I do you have a hard time looking at the bigger picture once you think you've found a lead. That investigative attitude is good, but only when used well."

Retsu leaned back and touched the tips of her fingers together. "While I'm fighting fires trying to give us some semblance of a normal life here at school, I need you to be my eyes. See things I can't look into directly. But you're making the same mistakes as all the other higher ups are doing which is exactly what we're here to stop; getting so focused on one target that we miss out on other leads. Take for example, that attack on the 1A students. I'm sure the school and other heroes are looking into the villains and trying to figure out how or why they attacked the students. But I bet they haven't even thought about trying to ask the students what they know. And I'm not just talking about the ones directly involved; I bet the other 1A students might have some insight on the villains that the teachers haven't discovered yet even if they never fought the villains. There's a bigger web here than just what's been broken is what I mean." Sakura had no words for these ridiculous things Retsu was saying, thinking that she was just grasping at nothing and making up more of her empty lies. Though Sakura has learned that Retsu's lies are just as valid as her honesty, it also made it irritating for Sakura to try and parse without needing a few hours to mull on it.

"So what?" Sakura took a deep breath and tried to calm down a bit. Emotions were getting high that much as for certain. "You think- Okay, let me rephrase that. What I should do is instead of trying to... Investigate those directly involved... I should look for their associates? Try to find out more information through them?" It still didn't make much sense to Sakura. In fact is sounded like a waste of time. What are the chances that somehow one unrelated person out of everyone else with a tangible reason to be involved would hold the key to how to solve this mystery? "Sounds like a waste of time, time we don't have before the next killing. I need to look for solid evidence, not loose ends."

Retsu chuckled and shook her head. "Au contraire, my friend. You've already looked at some pretty solid evidence and thus through that everything seems rocksteady. But that's just the thing; everything might be right by the book, but there's that thread that links this all together. You can only find it if you're looking for it; dismissing it outright means it'll go right under your nose and you'll never see it until it's too late. I bet you tried to appeal to Seiko with an expert from the school book and probably threw some insults at her character while you were at it. That's just slamming your head against a wall and trying to make something out of nothing. You should've looked more into the whys she was doing it, and how she was able to pull it off. She obviously wasn't alone, but I don't think she was the mastermind either. Certainly a part of it, but she neither started the plot nor planned it out. She was just a cog in the conspiracy. I need you to be able to realize that if you want to keep looking into the Cellphone Killer Mystery. He's not skirting around the investigation because he's somehow able to get a loophole around the law. There's something else in play that lets him get away with this that you haven't spotted yet because you haven't thought to look for it. I know because I think I might've noticed, but unless I have eyes on it I can't say for certain it's just me or legit." Retsu handed Sakura an envelope and she opened it to read it. She seemed quiet as she looked through the contents. When she was done she put the letter down and put her face into her hands.

"You couldn't have just given this to me to start with and save us all from this roundabout bullshit?" Once more the class rep just smiled and picked up her work from where she left off. "Work smarter, not harder. Just because you put a lot of effort into it doesn't mean it'll amount to anything in the end. Honestly, I'm surprised it was this simple. But hindsight's 20/20 isn't it? Once everyone is back we'll set out to finish this case and maybe we can go karaoke or something."
