Hemlock Reguim

Apartment Workshop, Core District

The artist was relieved to find that he wasn't dealing with an emotional wreck of a Lancer who would need a night to drink his sorrows away before he was willing to fight.

"If saving Troy is your wish, go right ahead. I myself am an artist and a mage, and so I'm aiming to reach the pinnacle of painting by catching a glimpse of the Root."

Hemlock pulled open a drawer of a fine desk, rummaged around for a few seconds, and produced a set of four clean glass vials, handing them over to Hector.

"My magecraft is most effective with samples from the target's body. Blood, hair, bone... anything, really. Whether you find it on the battlefield or rip it from an enemy, I'd like you to collect samples when possible."

He unlatched the window once more, gesturing for his Servant to use it as an exit. A chill rushed in and the last remains of the summoning fog drifted out as the two stood there.

"I don't know that our enemies will think of us so differently if they find you to be a Lancer as opposed to a Saber... But I'd imagine the surprise when you gain a few extra feet of reach might offer you the chance to claim victory in combat. Use your discretion- Attack with the weapon that seems best suited to the enemy at hand, but keep in mind that's the form of Durindana you'll be using for the rest of the war until we're forced to reveal that little trick. In either case, don't call its true name tonight. If the enemy brings out their Noble Phantasm, just retreat with knowledge of their identity while hiding your own."

Closing his eyes, Hemlock looked through one of his familiars for a moment, and his face twisted in annoyance.

"An Assassin... How can I venture out to paint in person with someone like that running around?" His gaze returned to the apartment. "Alright, your orders for tonight are to scout the area and engage with any enemy who's not currently fighting someone. Don't interrupt a battle that's already happening- if they want to kill each other or reveal their trump cards, let them. However, kill that Assassin if she survives."

A night of violence awaited, just beyond the window.

"Now, Lancer, Saber, or whatever you tell the enemy you are. It's easier to skirmish and disengage without me to worry about, right? I'll join you on the streets tomorrow. Go."

. . .

Once Hemlock was alone once more, he would uncover the easel closest to the large window. The barely-started painting on that canvas resembled the breathtaking view of the tower just beyond it. He placed dollops of paint onto his palette.

A darker blue, maybe. The sky had become even more beautiful while he had been focused on pointless tactics.

Perhaps he would include some aspect of the current battle in this piece, if it became flashy enough to be seen from his window.

Discreet Workshop -> Latin District
'Marguerite' goes forth

@Sunglass

"Marguerite?" The Painter would say a finger planted on her chin as if contemplating such a name to herself, It seemed extremely out of place for her current self. But at the same time, any name she came up with would probably allude too much to her true nature but alas, a codename would work for now and she felt no need to change what her master had given her. "That'll do just fine master." 'Marguerite' said with a brilliant smile. As she nodded in confirmation of her pretend identity.

"Oh? A theatre, you wish to see a performance?" She said smiling as if an old friend hanging out. Of course Da Vinci had not only picked up on the intention but also on what her master was intending to do. Of course scouting the city was only appropriate for the first night of warfare, but knowing this Da Vinci wanted to pick a place that wouldn't be difficult to survey from.

"Perhaps instead we should visit the 'Arc de Triomphe' as not only is it a suitable land mark to survey the city from, but it is a landmark that can function well as a surveying point." She said softly, arms crossed as if thinking something to herself. "That would be the latin district would it not?" She said answering her masters question with the location that Da Vinci thought would be best to scout out.

Saber: Sir Ywain
Knight of the Lion
Latin District: Eastern Outskirts

The knight had barely spoken a word since his summoning, but his satisfaction was evident on his face. Truly, this must be the best possible Master for him.

. “It’s not really something that can be excused, but we haven’t even finished work on the territory even spending most of the day. So I wasn’t able to cook a welcome feast for you. Maybe tomorrow that could be managed, Saber? But for now is there anywhere you think we should go or get in particular for work or fun?”

“A feast would be welcome, certainly,” Ywain spoke, smiling with the freshness of a handsome celebrity, his voice warm. Though his words were few, they were spoken with a clear sincerity that left no doubt as to his simple, pleasant nature. “I have no preference. Perhaps the lady should decide.” It wasn’t an admonishment, but a simple statement of disinterest.

As the two bickered, he simply looked upon them, smiling softly. He was content, so there was no need for words. Certainly, this partnership seemed promising. His partner followed the same path that he had. The path of chivalry, of nobility - even though that shine was only a glimmer compared to the sunlight of that man, it was exciting.

“Fun, fun! There’s always tomorrow for killing!” Chirped up the girl. “Well, not that you have to kill. But you know they would be happen if we just so happened to get rid of someone who might belong to the other factions…”
“I’ll act accordingly, Elaine.” His reply was curt, slightly tense as he brushed the side of his sheathed weapons with his a hand.

For a moment, he considered speaking up, sharing his thoughts. Life was a precious thing, surely - and the opponents in this war would not be the simple monsters, terrorising innocents. Perhaps it would be difficult for him, too. Though, certainly, it was a different matter for heroes who had already left the world, summoned again only briefly. Yes, it was more difficult for those who lived in this strange, modern world.

But the moment passed, and the conversation shifted. He didn’t want to kill the mood.

Diana, Ceres, Minerva, Venus
Latin District

The homunculi left the building with the Servant, mostly bemused by Saber’s strangeness, though Minerva’s irritation continued to bubble beneath the surface. Theta trailed behind, still unsure how to deal with this strange person, and Minerva stuck closer to him.

“Unfortunately, I was unable to locate anyone nearby with my familiars. If mobility wasn’t so important, it might have been better to set up a location for dueling, but it seems the opportunity for that has passed anyway.” Theta spoke. “I don’t have any suggestions, in any case.”

How about that way?”” Venus suggested, pointing in a random direction, with no consideration beyond the way the street looked. Theta could only shrug.

On d’Artagnan’s arm, Diana grinned, plucking at her bowstring. “You know how to use one of these? You’re a gunner, right? It feels strange that I’m using older weaponry than a heroic spirit…” It wasn't much more than small talk, but it was earnest.

Saber of Decimation
Latin District
???, Arènes de Lutèce

@GreenGoat@Indra@Seirei no Hai

... This Caster does not seem to want to reason. I'll silence him, Master.

As the ever-faithful Caster began to speak, his identity became very clear to Saber: the prophet who split the Red Sea, Moses. Of course, this meant two things. One, the spell that Caster is beginning to cast is likely a sort of Magecraft privy to those who worship YHWH, something that Saber would ideally not want completed. Two, it's that the staff that he carries may also be an issue, and is likely this Caster's true Noble Phantasm. In any case, all this information did was prove to Saber that this Caster was weak, as he required a Noble Phantasm in order to calm an unaligned magus.

And of course, this Caster's choice of actions have also proven to make the Demon Prince angrier.

Like the humming of a mosquito in a quiet summer night, the mutterings of Caster's faith had annoyed Saber to no end. His decision to attack, however, managed to rouse a true feeling of anger from the rage-filled swordsman. It is the sort of anger that one would feel after somebody dropped a soft-served ice cream cone on their new Yeezys. In other words, if Caster had wished to rouse any sort of hostile intent from the otherwise mild-mannered Saber, then he had easily accomplished his goal...

A red glint glimmered from the cage-like visor that concealed Saber's face as he began to move at a speed faster than any normal human could comprehend. With a quick flick of his wrist, Saber's round shield came flying, the sharpened edges slicing the air as it flew for Caster's arm. If he didn't move out of the way, he'd find the arm holding his staff would quickly be crippled, if not cleanly lopped off.

At the same time, Saber disappeared briefly, rushing to Caster at a speed akin to a wild beast's. To say that Saber's movements were similar to that of a Monstrous Beast would not be a hyperbole. However, his inhuman movements carried a brutal sort of efficiency. Saber's movements and tactics weren't the ones that belonged to that of a knight, but rather one of a seasoned killer, and it wouldn't be far off to mistaken Saber for some sort of Assassin or Berserker. Even Caster himself would be able to sense that Saber did not seek to his opponent, but to annihilate him. With his fists curled, Saber launched his body for a hook to Caster's jaw, opposite to the arm that he holds his staff in.

Temperament of the Slayer: A+

It was an attack meant to confound one's opponent, born not out of refined tactics, but rather from the experience of facing off against many crafty opponents such as dwarfs and spellcasters. To split their focus, occupy their hands from performing the precise movements needed for some spells, and prevent them from speaking aloud their incantations.

Of course, this meant that Moses had only a mere moment to make a choice that may decide the rest of this confrontation.

Would he defend Saber's punch, sacrificing his arm in order to leave his spell uninterrupted?

Would he move away from Saber's shield, slamming himself into Saber but leaving the arm holding his Noble Phantasm uninjured?

Or would he, by some divine providence, find a method to defend against both attacks at once?

Whatever the case, it was clear that Saber's intent is to disable his opponent. The question is will Caster allow this to happen?

There’s something definitely odd about that partner. Something like that shouldn’t have a connection to me, even if I might be the fastest, and therefore deadliest, gun in the west. If it’s killing people then any sort of bullet’ll do. What matters is that it hits right and hits first.

He takes a look at the aforementioned gun before walking. “Yeah, there’s something more to it, definitely. But I don’t know what. I’m no mage. Now how about we get roaming? Why don’t we check out where there’s shops and such. Even in the modern age the heart of a town’s in what they’re selling, right?”

And what could be taken, he thought to himself.

“How about the middle then? From what you’ve told me south of here towards the middle has a lot. Although I kinda want to avoid where the big-wigs running this place are holding up. Guess we could go beyond that also?”

He grinned and skipped out the door, nary a wave or word to his master as he assumed she’d follow along. It was only after the house faded into the background, the gunman immersed in the streets that he finally spoke again.

“We’ll go out for a bit, but once we’re back we’re starting aiming drills. So let’s live wild for a few hours.”

@SSW

Latin District

"See? see? he gets it. No wonder why he’s a hero and a knight. Especially that sort, he’s experienced!”

“Elaine just because you’re-”

“You should be calling me Lady Elaine at this point you know~”

He closed his eyes and smiled, pausing in his step. But instead of an admonishment or a countering line of banter Noon instead suddenly turned about, turning his body in a sudden sweeping motion and folding down to a knee. Taking the small girl’s hand gently, he touched it to his forehead, then lips.

“Yes milady.”

“Eh… you actually did it.” Elaine for her part looked down with a small touch of surprise… before giving away into a giggling fit. “Ah… no, that’s right. Of course you would, that’s very much like you Noon. Even if it’s a joke, you’re still serious too about it. Aha, that still almost makes my heart flutter… or so you wish I’d say right? You're a few years too young to make that happen.” She batted her lashes before breaking away and facing towards Saber. “Was this what it was like for all the girls back in your times? Well, if it was I missed out on something nice.” She averted her gaze from Saber’s face, her eyes instead trailing down to the ground. Every once in a while she glanced back over her shoulder and let out a small noise that only the servant could hear with his senses beyond human limits.

“I think that if it were to be…”

She whispered to herself.

Was she?...

“Ah, a master.”

Don’t forget

Noon raised his right hand, focusing in on it while also showing it to the other two. His poise took on subtle changes that Saber would easily notice. His demeanor shifted, no longer light and joyful, but rather almost robotic as a sense of purpose flooded him. Excess movements were thrown away, the mirth and sounds of the Paris nightlife faded away, cast aside as though it were a fantasy of another world.

His hands burned.

Fire danced across his fingers. He felt the blood boil, the skin bubble and crisp up simultaneously. A familiar pain greeted him as he transitioned into his role as a knight and magus.

Even if he was silent, even someone said to be a bit dense like him could see the feelings on the servant’s face.

Even if she teased and taunted the spirited coaxing as she pulled the two by the hand towards exciting and foreign new things showed how much she was enjoying this.

There was no place for that in his heart right now. Friend? Foe? It didn’t matter. For a meeting between magi his heart would turn to stone. He was an sword of his lord. He was here only to further their agenda and claim this land in their name. Kill in their name, save in their name.

Don’t forget whispered the voice he inherited.

Your oaths, your duty comes before all.

“Let’s go find them.”

Wynter Lobos

Montmarte - Following Archer
@Danchou

"Mm. Yeah, I'm fairly certain that going near any major landmark is going to be dangerous. Well, maybe not the stock exchange. I don't imagine it would have much magical significance and it would probably have too many people to be a good battleground, though that might make it perfect for you to fight in. You can hide among the crowd and avoid shooting innocents pretty easily." 'Living wild' wasn't exactly Wynter's MO, but she was sure Archer knew what he was doing, so she went along with him, albeit nervously.

Rider sighed. His Master was going to get herself killed if she just casually threw away his protection like that. Nonetheless, he had an order. He de-materialized his armor and quickly changed into the clothes Rei had given him (black sportswear, it seemed) before moving towards the nearby battle in spirit form. He perched slightly up on the Eiffel Tower, just within hearing range, as he watched the fight between Assassin and Saber.

Cerzelium Orchelas

Near the Seine, Business District
@Phonic@KoL@SubjectVision

After a lengthy but not insurmountable walk, the pair (trio?) was finally met with company. Cerzelium's eyes narrowed into a squint as he attempted to make out the details of the red-haired man who had revealed himself. For a moment, he considered a quick bout of magus detection magecraft, but decided against it; opening his Magic Circuits here could be taken as a preparation to attack, after all.

His decision was validated when that man spoke up, voice thankfully carrying the distance between the two pairs. Cerzelium couldn't help the slight laugh that left him as a result; how fortunate. He had been concerned that he was treading into a den of killers, that everyone he met in this place would be a coldblooded egotist who would stop at nothing, but so far, he was happily surprised by just how reasonable those he'd met had been.

Well, that or they were just being pragmatic and waiting for an ideal opportunity to strike, but he liked to give them the benefit of the doubt.

"Good evening." He called out simply in reply, giving Rider a quick glance as if to affirm that there were no issues with him speaking, before continuing on. "My partner and I would be happy to speak with you. It's a beautiful evening, after all, and surely the battles can come later. I am Cerzelium, representing the Orchelas family. May we approach?"

Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune

In Combat With Assassin

Weak defense, running away, and smoke balls. Combined with the assassination attempt and the obvious familiarity with kenjutsu, there was logically only one type of opponent left.

Shinobi. Tch.

Sweeping her hand, a great wind billowed up, utterly rejecting the appearance of the undoubtedly poisoned smoke, and the chain-and-ball hurtled back to whence it came from.

But this course of action was inadequate, alone. If things remained as they were, the shinobi could easily keep on throwing its weapons while retreating.

Unacceptable.

Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune leapt after the woman who attacked her lord. She was swift, but not swift enough to evade the girl who jumped across eight ships and had only grown more skilled in her age.

Oh, she may have been able to parry and block her kenjutsu earlier. But what she had learned under Sojobo in those childhood days on Mount Kurama was more than that.

A dizzying array of blows of steel and wind rained down upon the cowardly wretch from every which angle, cutting and buffeting the shinobi.

The assassin would flee, or have her attention utterly occupied. Either served her purposes of keeping her master safe.

Oni no Hanzo

There it was.

It was not an unexpected move, nor was it unwelcome that they simply dispersed the poisonous smoke, and charged towards her. And while her sword skills were impressive, Hanzo had more than just experience under her belt.

She inhaled, before a simple spear with a long blade at the end materialized in her hand, and changed her movements.

No, by now she seemed more like a lancer, and even with the Saber's terrifying skills and those wind that buffeted her, she stood her ground, straining her skills to the limit to even dodge and parry with her own blows while she moved backwards slowly. But even then, that small gentle smile never left her face, as if this was nothing but a small discourse over tea and cakes.

Just a small opening in the Saber's swing, and she simply stepped aside, disappearing from even this Servant's view, and reappeared to the side, thrusting the spear head like lightning towards their chest utilizing the spear's full range.

Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune

In Combat With Assassin

For most warriors, their opponents disappearing in front of their eyes would be cause for worry. Questions would fly through their heads. Where were they? How did they do it? What are they going to do?

Those are normal thoughts. Human thoughts. None would question a warrior for being at the very least surprised and being taken off-guard by such a thing.

However, unfortunately for her opponent, Yoshitsune was anything but normal, and just a bit inhuman.

Thus, three thoughts appeared in her head.

First. A spear appeared in the shinobi’s hands.

Second. She began the engagement with an ambush, and was struggling to even keep up in the exchange.

Third. The assassin never stopped smiling.

And so, she knew an attack was coming, and from where it was. Perhaps it was a disturbance of the air via sudden movements, perhaps it was something akin to a sixth sense, perhaps it was sheer martial skill and experience tipping her off. Or maybe, all three.

One should never let a spear user remain at range, as they merely can fend you off with the point. Thrusts were their forte, but spears like this with a long blade could be used for sweeps as well. Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune was rather versed in dodging and combating spearmen, and so, instead of leaping back--

She swayed, turned, and struck, dodging and countering the thrust in one smooth movement.

Hector

Studio Apartment > Out towards that tower!, Core District.

@ManyThings(@GreenGoat @BlueHelix Hector will be watching you from a distance ^_^)

The weapon that was held by Hector disappeared just as it had appeared. "Understood master. You can sit back and relax now while I go and meet some of our competition. This is fine, I never intended to make use of my Noble Phantasm on the first night either way, messing around with a few of the servants is enough for a warm up.

"Mhmm, I will be sure to keep an eye on that Assassin now, although those ones are known to be quite slippery. But I don't think this old man has lost all of his wits just yet heh..." Hector wasn't too confident that he could stop an Assassin who really wants to get away from him. But if anyone had the chance to block ones escape from battle then it would be an expert on the matter. And well... He just so happened to be one.

"Well then master, I guess I will see you in a bit then. Just tell me to come back whenever if you need something but if there is nothing then I will follow your orders from now till mornin'." Hector gave an odd sort of salute type gesture to his master as he let himself out of the apartment and moved out onto the streets.

"Now.." Hector said simply as he took in a breath of first air shortly before charging forward towards his destination. There was already a battle going on at the Eiffel Tower. And as his master ordered him he did not intend to interfere. But that didn't mean that he couldn't watch a little now did it? That kind of scouting is effective too and puts himself in little danger. Of course a battle like this was sure to draw in other servants who are eager for battle and so, Hector would be waiting for them!

Yes, that is definitely what he will be doing...

Lucienne

To The Latin District

Phew... Lucienne wiped a little bead of sweat off of her head with a napkin drawn from her jacket pocket. She hadn't really prepared a response for the chance that Caster had rejected her proposed name for her, which just so happened to be her middle name and late mother's name.

The 'Arc de Triomphe' huh? That sounds like an excellent choice to me Marguerite! The theatre can wait for another time, now we must go forward to our own Triumph!" A rather ridiculous little speech with exaggerated mannerisms to keep the mood light, apparently an attempt to mimic an actor of a stage play but on an out of touch magus it merely made her look a little stupid. Well 'a little' is being rather generous. Lucienne also made a little jab at the air with her fist although all that made clear is she hadn't thrown punch at another living thing in her life.

But still, embarrassment can come later. It's fine if she let loose a little for now. The war had just begun and well she can't be stressed out for it's entirety or she would likely burn out. And so she took Caster by the hand and began to lead the way with a childish grin on her face.

Oni no Hanzo
Eiffel Tower - Core District

Again, she changed her movements, from a simple movements an ashigaru might use, to one more elaborate. A simple trick, borne of both the pillars of a ninja's disguising technique, both the overt and covert disguises. When one became the disguise, it was harder to see through it. A furtive medicine peddler attracts more attention after all, and an unconfident kage loses their effectiveness if they cannot even convince their allies.

In this case, her movements changed to a certain someone's, dangerous, fast and precise. Hanzo first pulled the spear, using the haft to receive the blow, before another simple step took her dangerously close, wielding an oddly familiar katana this time, raining ridiculously fast blows upon the Saber.

"Is that all?" She spoke, as if probing the samurai's responses.

Conclusion

Caster vs Saber

Having momentarily thought about it, Moses quickly judged the Saber solely on its appearance and as for it being a male or female, its identity remained unclear due to its mask concealing its appearance. Should there be any voice it is presumably fake for the real deal might disappoint his expectations. The Saber who seemed to act like a Berserker surely is a versatile opponent, however, to counter directly would be an unwise decision. Moses must play decisively in order to land a successful blow and remain uninjured yet it was also an unwise choice to use Baptism Rite: A, against a speedy opponent.

Under any circumstances, the result of the blow that Saber could inflict would be undesirable for the consequences are bad. Fortunately for Moses, he is backed upon by God's divine providence, the following are ranked A: Revelation and Jacob's Limbs used together. Moses grinned for he has foreseen the outcome of the match, he only needed to act upon his Revelation. Moses then faced Saber directly: hand to hand combat and all the while gracefully dodging its weapon from the opposite direction. He went for its fist and redirected it by tipping Saber off of its balance, slamming it into the ground. In order to pacify the Saber, Moses locked Saber with his body with his legs to its neck; wrestling form or one would call a Judo Lock. (Reenacting Annie Leondhart's moves from Attack on Titan, try visualizing it in this scenario.)

"Ha-ha. Reconsiderations are a little too late but I'd beg to differ, “I've been waiting to quote something from the New Testament so here we go! Matthew 5:43. You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven”. How about we stop our petty skirmish? I have a feeling that you wished to tell me something and I happened to paranoidly attacked. " Moses showed his childlike swag for he was delighted to quote the New Testament, even the sound of his voice is that of a child.

Considering that the Saber is bind by the body of Moses, escaping would be a bad idea since Moses is a practitioner of Jacob's Limbs, a sacred form of Jewish martial arts that is exceedingly superior and even surpasses the Greek Martial Arts, Pankration. The match seemed to have concluded and the victor's evident.

Ally or Foe? Moses wondered but no matter he rests upon the word of God.

"Would you like to start over and sup with me? Manna and water from Yahweh would be great! I'm sure our Masters would be happy to join us~!" He winked while his tongue sticking out at his Master, one may say, that is such a silly view.

The Core
Operation Chase
Vs. Combatant: Assassin

Eiffel Tower, Core District

@BlueHelix@GreenGoat : Observers (@Sunglass / @The World[ )

The combat seemed to be heating up, and Agria still knew that too much distance from her servant would be the death of her as she kept her distance set close enough to be defended, and so as the two servants locked arms in that dance of combat that most if not all servants should be so intimate with, Yes it was interesting most certainly to see them outsmart each other in each dance as talking the unspoken language of combat.

Of course that didn't mean that Agria was completely memorised by the dance. She was already beginning to draw her familiars back to the core in order to scout for other masters or servants. A small thought nagging at the back of her temples that there was no way this fight in such a 'public' spot would go unnoticed by the other masters.

In fact she could feel as if eyes were observing her from a distance, a new arrival was studying the frey. Of course she could only give a glance, as she noticed the bearded gentleman just standing there Menacingly under the lamplight. Servant most definitively,

Indeed this confirmed it. Other servants were most definitively being drawn to this commotion. and thus she had her senses honed on her immediate vicinity. Her primary concern was not allowing herself to be slain so early. Death wasn't a worry. But failure most certainly was. Though her chances of survival were looking grim if there was even a fraction of a chance that the enemy assassin was 'friends' with this newcomers. She hoped Yoshitsune knew of grim possibility also.

Core District, Approaching the Eiffel Tower

With girls in tow and master on her heels d’Artagnan strolled through the streets, taking a moment now and then to trade out from one gal to the next as the primary target of her attentions to a mixture of delight and dismay- far too busy with flattery to answer any questions about her abilities.

She did not acknowledge the bias behind her footsteps, though perhaps her master may have noticed, she was carrying them closer and closer to danger- to adventure. As they neared the excitement built deep within her but her absurd and flirtatious demeanor did not shift. The duel, she could feel the nearby duel between heroic spirits in the air, in her blood, and the very thought of it stirred her, but a duel was not to be interrupted.

However, a lone servant looking on was fair game.

With a voice that betrayed entirely her excitement she broke character. “My dear ladies, it is for your safety that I ask you remain where you stand, for your entertainment that I ask you watch closely, and for your comfort that I must ask you cover your ears.” Her smile was something altogether different from the warm and inviting face she had shown the girls previously.

Nary a second later and a pistol was in her hand, pointed skyward, and with the sudden and deafening bang it discharged towards the stars. Before the sound could fade it was joined with the beating of hooves, as d’Artagnan charged directly towards the lone servant upon the back of a horse that seemed to come from nowhere at all.

RAISE THY WEAPON GOOD SIR, I DEMAND SATISFACTION OF THEE!” She bellowed out as her own rapier came free of its scabbard with the raspy cry of the blade against the steel throat of the scabbard, adding a third and fourth layer to the cacophony.

Core District, Hanging off the Eiffel Tower

Get into position. Finished.

Observe and Report. Ongoing.

Wait for an Opening. Achieved.

Strike. Commencing.

An entire existence that consisted of just those four steps, a being brought into the world only some hours ago to carry out a short laundry list of tasks and then be disposed of. There was no sorrow in this indeed there was no feeling at all, something with such a singular purpose and overwhelming predestination had no room for such burdens.

Such a short and quiet existence it had been, until now altogether unnoticed as it silently relayed the events of the duel between heroes back to it’s master, a little clockwork spider no wider than a human hand and dark like the cold iron of the tower it clung to and the night sky above it.

So it was that as Rei sent her servant away, even going so far as to tell him not to bother protecting her, that the little wooden spider leapt into action, to carry out the fourth and final step of its existence. it silently approached before leaping with fangs barred, ready to deliver the widow’s killing kiss to the poor magus.

Latin District (Heading towards the Arc de Triomphe)
'Marguerite' goes forth again

Marguerite smiled as her hand was taken, being lead through the streets of paris, she didn't want to be too rude and overtake her master. Instead taken the time the walk too to study her surroundings, embracing the architecture of the world. At the same time she was scouting for enemy servants. This is what she was supposed to do after all as was her job as her students teacher.

Still, she couldn't help but smile happily. To be living again was certainly a benefit. To be living again in france was most certainly a bonus and a bonus that she was happy to use to her own benefit. Perhaps if after they had won... or at least made it through the war together, She could ask her master if they could visit the louvre in less stressful conditions. "Miss, do you think the night tonight is quite serene." Marguerite said enjoying the night breeze. Remaining close in a protective manner to her companion as they entered the Latin district, heading towards the Arc.

Crow Takes Flight
Embassy of Japan - (High Rise District ~ Arc De Triomphe)
Dusk

@Seirei No Hai

Nobukara followed Lord Nobunaga's gaze, looking upon the Eiffel Tower with a look of consideration as Nobunaga spoke of hidden Leylines. Indeed, there was a fair possibility that a landmark that huge would have a Leyline under it.

"LOOK AT ME! I'M BRIGHT AND NAKED, TOUCH ME, CLIMB ME, LOITER ALL OVER ME!"

She was snapped out of her thoughts by this line, blushing as forbidden images appeared in her mind. She quickly pulled up the collar of her shozoku to hide the reddening of her cheeks, just in time as Nobunaga turned to her with that smile. That beautiful, inspiring smile.

There was no hiding how red Nobukara got after that, scrunching her eyes closed and shaking her head viciously. Such thoughts were forbidden! Bad Nobukara, you cannot think of your Lord in such ways! But it cannot be helped, anyone would fall for Lord Nobunaga upon seeing her, she was perfection incarnate!

Nobukara slapped both hands on her cheeks and exhaled all the air she had been holding in, hurrying after Nobunaga as she rushed out the door. They were certainly a strange duo to everyone looking at them, which was everyone in the building at this point, a warlord with rifle in hand and her loyal shinobi right behind her. Nobunaga walked out the door first, a small ding popping as the automatic sensor activated. Nobukara exited immediately after, the sensor completely silent as she walked through.

"I will be scouting ahead Lord Nobunaga, I will alert you should I find anything of interest." And with that she vanished into the night, not a trace of her existence left behind as she blended into the shadows.

Business District - Close to River Seine.
Yazhu Hua

Mentions: Tristan (@KoL). Cerzelium @Unoedipal and his Servant @Phonic

The voice of an old man reached her ears, something that partially surprised Yazhu. Not because it was an old man: magus could live beyond the span of normal humans from what she saw. It was because it was a gentle voice, with amicable tones. The kind of voice one associated with an amicable, affectionate smile that would soothe everyone's inner child. Words of unlimited patience and care as wrinkled hands went to care for that scab on your knee, words that'd comfort your heart after falling down the swing, and give some wisdom that's been earned through the years.

Yazhu visibly relaxed, and spoke up from her position next to Tristan. "We'd be happy to speak as well, even if we're meant to defeat one another in the future." She turned to glance at her Servant to see how he reacted to it before continuing. "Yazhu, of the Hua family. Come closer, but no less than twenty meters should be between us. I hope you understand my reasons behind this request, Mr. Cerzelium". Yazhu would, albeit a bit reluctantly, rest a hand on Archer's shoulder so that he'd help the smaller woman down to the streets. His words before still echoed in her mind and, even though she was sure that he could react fast enough to any possible threats in the area, she still hadn't seen any other Servant besides him before so she didn't know what were they dealing with, a thought that brought her an uneasy feeling to the pit of her stomach.

Archer
Tristan -- The Knight of Lamentation
Current Location: Business District -- In the streets near River Seine

“With your permission, Master,” Tristan said as he caught Yazhu before leaping off the edge the building, landing some halfway through the distance between them and the other Duo. For a Servant, such a feat was nothing, yet he made a point of landing as softly as possible for the comfort as well as the dignity of his Master.

“If you allow me to make a suggestion,” he began just as he got back to his feet, leaving Yazhu right beside him. “I believe I spotted a small park near the river when we came here. Why don’t we talk there?” Tristan spoke as he looked towards the direction from which the other pair came.

Even when speaking about a mundane issue such as the place for their conversation, Tristan’s voice carried a melancholy tone that tugged at one’s heartstrings. And, despite his appearance as a knight being impeccable in every respect, something about the way he looked and acted was enough to make all but the most stoic feel a tinge of sadness and longing in the back of their minds.

Going towards: Nowhere at the moment

Lancer just quickly sidestepped the oncoming attack. His casual wear was replaced with his traditional armour and spear.

"Hmmph, you don't even have the common courtesy to introduce yourself..."

He backs up and tries to stab Berserker from a distance.
