"Nonsense, zombie unicorns are well noted symbols of unity and togetherness," October told her wife with a smile.
"My cousin Bartholomew proposed to his fiancé with one while on a trip to Atlantis." Wanda giggled slightly at Annie, giving her a bit of a smile when she saw the illusions marching through. She was getting a bit bored of the party herself, usually only really there because she was made to be there.
"Well that certainly sounds like a bit of fun to me," she said with a smile.
Guin tilted her head slightly at Allison.
"Engaged, not married. Remember that - since if you get that wrong, people might think you're crazy," she told her friendly honestly. However, she did smile slightly as Allison told her she held more power in the real world. She felt powerless here - she had to give up so much of herself and her identity for the Royal Family. She loved Pietro, but sometimes it was like she couldn't breathe.
"Does he hang around me all the time there?" she asked, a bit amused.
"But... I like the idea that I have power there. People assume that you gain power, marrying into the Royal Family, but you more of lose it." She then took Allison's hand and guided her out of the restroom, taking them back into the ball. Looking around, she tried her best to locate her fiancé, until she eventually spotted him and Oshea. Going up to Pietro, she gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"I need to go to my lab - with Allison," she told him quietly.
"...Alright, I can see about covering for you if anyone asks Guina, get going, and take your guards with you alright?" Pietro whispered back to her, giving her a smile.
"Oh, uh, thank you..." Miranda said, almost like she was a bit startled by his sudden appearance by her. She glanced around the room somewhat, almost as if she was seeing if anyone else was nearby, or if anyone else could really hear them.
"...Thank you for the gift... Max," she said, using his first name as she looked right at him.
"A part of you knows that this world is false... Perhaps I can help you..." Instead of grabbing the gift from him, she extended both her arms and gripped his wrists, and she looked him in the eye. There seemed to be a purple glow in her eyes as she looked at him, and in an instant
Max would regain all of his memories of the real world, the main reality, but he would still have his memories of this one as well. "Blend in, don't do anything rash, otherwise you could put yourself in great danger here... There are others who remember, find them and decide if you wish to fix things..."
Jack was starting to feel really bad about things. Part of him really wanted to go after Casper and talk to him, to apologize, but he kind of had Lexi with him and couldn't easily chase after him, and he looked over at Bobbi,
"Yeah no... I'm not going to have Ayita watch her, and I am not leaving her alone! That honestly has got to be the most idiotic suggestion I have ever heard!" "...Calm down Jack, we get it, give Val a call and see if she'll watch her, make things a bit easier. Sound alright?" Mary said softly, looking over at her cousin a bit dubiously.
"That's what I was planning on doing," Jack responded with a bit of an eye roll.
"Mes amis... Do ah really need ta remind y'all that Jack's babysittin' arrangements are not the priority here?" Gambit asked, shaking his head slightly.
"Exactly! So why are you all acting like it truly matters!" "Calm down Jack, we get it... Anyway the diadem is in a secure room in the Red Guard base, luckily for us, this facility is actually their lesser guarded one... Not to mention I heard that the Red Guard isn't even in the country themselves right now, so it'll make things easier..." "Now, ah am thinkin' we have one group that will go inside and do the actual stealin'... Ah will lead 'em - and that'll be Marygold, Jacques, Anastasia, et Bobbi. The other team'll clear out any security or problems, as well as run point on our exit strategy - that'll be led by Rogue, ma chère, and include Chrysi, Casper, Ayita, and Richard. As long as no one has any problems, head on into the training room and we's gonna practice skirmish to warm up - two teams, same as the ones for the mission." "Sounds like a plan to me," Mary said, nodding her head.
"Cool," Jack agreed, though he wasn't too sure how Casper was doing, after this talk, he'd see about leaving Lexi with Mary and going after Casper to see where he went.
Chrysi looked over at Casper, giving him a bit of a smirk. She had been fairly certain about something, but him still acting a bit clueless was the dead giveaway, and she walked over to him.
"You don't remember this world do you? This reality? Ha, should have known that there would be one or two people in the area aside from myself of course who knew that, but um, I actually remember this world too. But not you eh?" "I've got a bad feeling about this...." Ben muttered, shifting with unease. It was difficult to make a ghost afraid to die, but Chrysi was managing it. Casper, however, brushed his friend's concern aside.
"No, I don't and it's really confusing," Casper told her, but he was relieved that someone else knew what was going on.
"...Can you tell me what happened, please?" "Well what does it look like? The world got screwed up majorly, I know how and why of course, but why would I tell you that? Wouldn't be any fun if everything was so simple." "....Because you'll need me to keep quiet about this to my brother," Casper wagered.
"Oh please, after all, he won't believe you, though I will say this, just go along with things, and there is something that could potentially give someone their memories of the real world but well, you'll have to figure that one out for yourself. Honestly, all you need to know about the world is that your father here is not Charles Xavier, he's been dead since before you were born, your older brother and sister, David and Val? Aren't crazy, and you all have the same dad as Jack now. Oh, and I'm apparently your cousin, well, kind of me, but more of my twin sister, I don't exactly exist in the real world." "...So what's the catch? Since that all sounds pretty great to me." "Mutants are the majority, anyone who is not a mutant, humans mainly, are persecuted and treated like nothing and Magneto is king of the entire world." "....Bummer. Guess it's their turn now, though," Casper said, not too sure how he felt about that.
"As I said before, I'll drink if I want to, deal with it," Wolverine grunted, rolling his eyes at the group who were there.
"You should have stayed where you were Kingston, with the others," Mystique said to him, shaking her head,
"Agent Reed brings up a fair point, you might tip them off... However," she continued, looking at the layout of the house and looking over at the others.
"There appears to be a back way in, the rest of us can go back there and surround the pair if you will..." "Sounds like a plan to me," he commented, setting his drink down,
"I'm getting a bit sick and tired of sitting around doing nothin', it's a bit boring, let's get going then." "Not to mention Agent Diggby is hopefully correct about the situation, we must tread cautiously no matter what we do, as if Banner believes that the Hulk can solve the problem that he'll likely see as being us, then he will undoubtedly strike out against us, even if it has been some time since then, everyone, let's get out of here, don't keep us waiting Abercrombie," she added, nodding her head towards Shelly, before she walked off the quinjet. They'd easily be able to get around to the back door of the house without Lance or Runa seeing them, however it would appear to be locked at the moment.
"They're lying," Runa told Lance softly, the color having drained from her face. In the real world, she was the Goddess of Lies. She could always tell if someone was trying to deceive her.
Novikova nodded at Maria, when asked if the girl was a threat.
"Yes, she is," she told her girlfriend quietly.
"...I keep seeing Loki near her... She may be under his influence or just... affiliated with him." Lance glanced back at her, wondering how she knew that instantly, but he wasn't too sure about this group at all. Nothing really seemed to be adding up at all with what the group was saying. His father didn't exactly have friends, and as far as he knew, no one really came up to the house.
"...Um, maybe you should come back in an hour when he returns if you're looking for him..." "Are you sure we can't wait inside the house? It is awfully warm out here if you ask me..." "Yeah, sorry..." he said, shaking his head as he went to close the door all the way. Sapphire glanced over at the others, wondering what they would think the best move was in this situation, her solution was to blast at the door and blow it, or probably more of freeze and shatter it, off of its hinges. Though she was being nice and letting someone else take the lead with this one.
