Vacuo.
Kingdom of harsh weather, and harsher people.
Once a verdant paradise, now laid waste by greed and exploitation. The Great War changed everything... and yet nothing.
There is no true law here. No government. There is only The Rule.
"If you can survive here, you belong here."
Those who survive make the law. And no one is better at surviving than you...
For you... are a Hunter.
Or at least you will be.
I shouldn't have to go really in-depth with rules here. Just follow the standards of the forum, don't be a jerk, and write for fun, and we should all get along fine. The RWBY Name Rule will be enforced. In addition, I would prefer, but will not overtly require, characters to have some form of allusion to or inspiration from characters or individuals from literature or history. I may, however, allow this to be extended to games or music if the character idea is interesting enough. If you have any questions, just ask me beforehand. Also, consider the source.
Shade Academy
The only thing even close to resembling authority in Vacuo's wide, empty desert is The Huntsman Academy of Shade. Here young warriors, trained in any of the various combat schools around the world, including Vacuo's own Oasis Training Camp, gather to obtain the next step of knowledge and training, in order to become Huntsmen and Huntresses. Situated on what was once a thriving bed of resources, it can look rather foreboding from a distance. Home to the Vacuo CCTS Tower, and the only plot for airship landing for miles around, Shade is a little slice of everywhere in the middle of nowhere.
The Forge
Run by Maroon Awit, Core's Hammer is an oasis for the creative Huntsman or Huntress. Supplies can be gathered from all around, making for the finest built weapons, armor, and armaments this side of Sanus. At least as far as Maroon is concerned. Core's Hammer consists of a fenced in front area hanging containing a sign, a decorative anvil, several weapon racks, and two large quenching troughs- one on either side. The shop's entrance way serves as the main work area, where those with the Lien can rent tools for work, trade metals, and order armaments. The back wall is covered in a haphazard array of lock boxes, crates, and lockers, all for holding the belongings of various clients. Behind this wall, cordoned off by thick hanging cloth in two doorways, lie several work areas of more access and detail than those in the shop's front. While the ones in the front are mainly set for touch-ups and material tests, stations in the main room are equipped with the tools and materials needed to perform a standard job, complete with vertical quenching troughs, small ovens, anvils, and a stand of tools. In the back of Core's Hammer, there are special rooms for those with more involved projects, or projects that involve somewhat more dangerous materials.

Please follow the format of the Character Sheet. If you think of something to add, great, go ahead, but leave most things in the location for where they're asked. It just helps me know where to look for things, instead of them being in different places for different characters. If you think of something new, but aren't sure where to put it, the 'Other' section is a great catchall. You don't need to leave the Character Sheet centered, it's just easier to show you that way. I would, however, prefer that the categories remain emboldened and a visible color be picked for the text, thanks : )
I hope you find this interesting, and are willing to go along with me on this. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions, please, don't hesitate to ask me. I'm more than willing to help in any way I can.
