Annya sighed at the events unfolding in front of her. The lanky man was smoking. He clearly had no decency to stop and be mindful. Then the man, with clothing much different than the other five, started shouting and making a fuss. She raised a brow at his actions and allowed Rosaria to handle the dilemma. She had hoped they would have received more suitable humans, but they didn't have time to keep summoning. At least the unclothed man seemed to be in good shape. It was best to probably reconsider her impression of him.

Using the amount of magic they had was definitely not conspicuous and the dark elves could appear at any time. She glanced upward toward the balcony to see her parents had already left. They were to be relocated to somewhere safer along with other high officials.

Annya allowed her sister to speak without interruption. Rosaria had thankfully recalled the clothing Annya had set aside for them. Her eyes traveled to Nuallán as he was mentioned and she offered him a smile, as she was fond of the loyal butler. Rosaria also brought up the dragon borne that would be accompanying her group. She paused and gave him a friendly wave. "Hello comrade. Happy to have you, sir Kharne."

As the food cart was wheeled out, the guards and Rosaria seemed to be keeping their eye on the wild man who had been calling them names. Annya took this opportunity to move up to the smoking man who introduced himself as Caelan Knight. She came to stand before him and pinched the end of his blunt, putting out its flame. "Caelan Knight. This must cease. Smoking..."Annya paused to catch a whiff of the substance, continuing her statement,"zemak is not an indoor activity. You can continue this another time."

As quick as she was to comment, she was already over the subject the next moment. She then slid her bag off her shoulder and began to dig through it. After a pause, she pulled out a pair of elf ear props and began to fix them on Caelan's head. "Humans. Wear these in public. There is the risk our enemies can spot you and I'm sure death is not preferable to you. These should deter suspicion." Next she moved up to the purple-haired girl and handed her a pair of feline demihuman ears. Ismael was given a pair of demi-human ears as well. The red-haired girl was given elf. Annya slowly set some elf ears by the shouting man then paused by the white-haired girl. Looking her up and down, she discovered this woman was already well prepared. "That'll do... Alright, everyone. Eat hastily! We have to get going soon."

Annya returned to Rosaria's side and asked softly, "Which of the humans do you want?"

Time: Prior Evening => 9am
Location: Daka Island's Forests

The broadcast in the sky was a rude awakening for the entire forest, including Myra, who was sleeping under one of the coniferous trees of the cold taiga forests from Daka Island. The loud voice and the image of two dark elves in the sky made Myra jump, alert, hissing and camouflaging herself as she analyzed her surroundings, only realizing that they were speaking from the sky and weren't in fact close to her. While she didn't know what they were talking about nor how exactly they did that, Myra somehow had a very bad feeling. She never expected anything good coming from a Dark Elf, but the fact that they had killed the few Light Elves that were with them in the broadcast made it even more obvious that it was something bad. The dark elves continued talking for a few moments until everything went dark again, only the noises of the many creatures in the forest remaining. The big creatures that roamed through the cold taiga like unchallenged titans, ones that even Myra avoided, making their discontent clear with loud roars, while the smaller creatures fled and hid. Using her camouflage, Myra ran to one of the hideouts she had found some time ago while hunting. A small opening under an uprooted tree, that led to a small underground cave. While damp and cold, it was still a safe place as most of the small creatures that could enter were seen by Myra as prey and the big ones were highly unlikely to even realize that there was something under the uprooted tree. Curled up in a ball, with her long tail around her in order to preserve body heat, Myra quietly waited for the sleep to come. The terrible sensation that something very bad was about to happen still in her mind as she slowly fell asleep.

While the forest was undoubtedly calmer on the next morning, there were clear signs that it wasn't a calm night. Trees broken in half or sometimes completely uprooted dotted the forest as Myra began getting ready to seek for food after getting out of her small hideout. It didn't take long until Myra felt the scent of blood in the air. Using her camouflage, Myra began stalking the wounded creature, following the clear trail left by the strong scent of blood. After a brief while, Myra finally found her target, a wounded boar, laying near a tree, an easy and vulnerable target for a predator such as Myra. The big holes on it's side and chest a clear indication that it had lost against another boar in a fight. Myra positioned herself as she sneaked closer to the wounded boar before pouncing on it with terrifying speed, moving like a distorted blur due her speed as her camouflage deactivated. Her teeth and claws were sinking into the back of the boar's neck before it could even realize what it was happening, only jerking it's body in a futile attempt to struggle before convulsing a few times with a weak, squeal as it finally died.

"Bleh!" Myra opened her mouth, sticking her tongue out. Both her tongue and teeth where filled with fur that came out from the boar after she bit it. Spitting out the fur that got into her mouth, she used her claws to tear apart the boar's hide, ripping it's side open to reveal the flesh inside.

Myra knew she had to be quick. The smell of blood would quickly attract other creatures. While she could easily defend the carcass against goblins and other small creatures, it would get considerably harder and more dangerous if a troll appeared. As such, she immediately started eating, taking a big bite out of the boar's side. Between eating and turning around to hiss at the few goblins and other creatures that slowly started to arrive, it took only a few moments until more than half of it was already eaten. Having satisfied her hunger, Myra took another big chunk of meat, holding it into her mouth before running away, leaving the rest of the carcass for the other creatures to eat. She was lucky that the smell didn't attract any bigger creature while she was eating.

Satisfied and with some meat with her in case she got hungry afterwards, Myra began moving closer to the border of the forest to investigate. The dark elves were much more active since she saw the sky image from the last night. Depending on what was going on, maybe she should start looking for ways to leave the island...

Caelan Knight

Time: 9am
Location: Sun Elf Castle Hall
Interactions: @Tae Raven @baraquiel Jomari @princess Annya and Sophie @Th3King0fChaos Ismael @13org Nuallán @Potter Saoirse and Rosaria
Equipment: A D&D miniature, a blunt and the clothes on his back

Caelan took a moment to look at the other humans and focused on the purple-haired girl specifically. ‘She looks beautiful.’ He thought before exhaling smoke from his blunt. His attention was quickly stolen by someone shouting. He glanced at the guy as he called them all spanish bastards and even asked them if they were working for them.”Bruh.. Nah I’m canadian bruv.” Luckily, the black-haired princess went to calm that guy down.

A food cart was wheeled out and Caelan was very tempted, but he held back. He watched as the red-haired human girl went in for it immediately. He was not sure if he trusted the food and he had filled his stomach up with Cheetos anyway. His attention was stolen by the huge Dragonborn on the side of the room that was being spoken to. He nodded in appreciation of his existence.

The princess spoke to him directly, letting him know he’d be taught to use his powers and that his name was very heroic. Caelan was pleased by these statements.

Then things took a turn for the worst. The brown-haired princess came up to him and put out blunt, calling his weed something stupid. He immediately gasped in disbelief. The lady even had the nerve to put some kind of ears on him.“For your information ma'am, this is OG Kush also you have the audacity to pull me from my world and put out my blunt!”He said frustratedly before stomping his foot on the floor, making the earth crack beneath his foot.

Nuallán continued silently observing the humans as they reacted with each other. One of the other female humans, a purple haired girl, seemed to be too distracted drawing to even realize what was happening, much to Nuallán's surprise. Curiously, she just continued to draw almost as if nothing had happened, only realizing that something was different with her surroundings after some time, reacting in a surprisingly soft, calm and delicate manner despite her confusion. While there she was certainly no warrior, Nuallán appreciated how composed she was and how she reacted instead of screaming or being loud like some other humans.

It was on this moment that Lady Rosaria called his name, after greeting Ismael, asking him to get the clothes Princess Annya had prepared for the humans on a small rolling cart just outside of the room. Additionally, she also asked him to bring back a pair of shoes for the purple haired girl who was too distracted to notice what was happening until now. As Rosaria approached her, Nuallán couldn't help but think that she would probably enjoy that particular human's company. It would be probably for the best if the purple haired girl went together with Rosaria too, as Nuallán knew that Princess Annya would probably have neither the patience nor the desire to deal with that girl, let alone guide and teach her.

"Certainly, my Lady." Nuallán replied, giving a few steps forward, presenting himself with an elegant bow to both Rosaria and Annya, who smiled at him when Rosaria called, before swiftly getting out of the room to fetch for what was asked.

It only took a few seconds until Nuallán was back inside, bringing a small rolling cart, which a number of different clothes of different styles for the humans to wear on the upper tray and on the bottom one, a few pairs of shoes in case they needed. The moment he entered the room though, he was met with quite a chaotic scene. One of the humans, a black haired, dark skinned one, had pulled out a knife and was shouting and cursing as he continued to randomly point his dagger at the people around him, including the other humans. Other than that, Caelan, who had introduced himself before also started making a scene of his own, disappointing Nuallán who had silently commended the boy for his spirit. When Princess Annya said that he shouldn't smoke inside, putting out it's flame, the boy didn't seem to like it very much, mentioning a few strange words before stomping his feet into the ground, making it crack under his heels.

"The clothes you asked for, my Lady." Nuallán said, announcing his arrival to Rosaria as he entered the room with the rolling cart.

Despite Nuallán's composed behavior and elegant step, it was clear that he was extremely unsatisfied and irritated with the behavior the humans were showing. As he calmly brought the rolling cart, the cold, menacing feeling coming out from him as he stopped and silently looked at both humans for a second was enough to send a shiver one's spine.

"Esteemed guests, may I have your attention for a moment?" Nuallán said in clear and audible tone, his piercing, cold stare sending a clear warning, completely contradicting the polite tone he was using and his graceful posture.

"We are grateful for your presence, your assistance and we apologize for abruptly summoning you, but I must ask for you to keep your decorum, act in a civilized manner and please refrain from unsheathing your weapons when in the presence of the King, the Queen or the Royal Princesses." He continued, clearly talking with the dark skinned human that was shouting when he mentioned the last part.

"While your confusion is justified due to the extraordinary circumstances behind your summoning and arrival here in Avalia, I must warn you that such hostile behavior will not be tolerated any further." he continued, making sure the humans, especially Caelan and the dark haired human were paying attention to him.

"With that said, I assure you that any and all questions you might have will be answered in due time and you will be treated with utmost respect, honor and hospitality while under our care. For now, I ask you to direct your attention to Princess Rosaria and Princess Annya's instructions." Nuallán finished with a bow as he pushed the rolling cart a bit further, putting it in a place where the humans could easily access

With that done, Nuallán gave a few steps back, facing Princess Annya and princess Rosaria once again, bowing and stepping back, staying just a few steps away from Rosaria and Annya, in case the human with a knife tried to attack them.

Nimueh

Time: Midnight ⇒ Very early morning
Location: Town near Roshmi
Mentions: Nabarra @nasty

Scurrying out of a tavern as the call for war came out would never look good. The hooded figure crawled out of the window on the balcony, then crawled up the drain on the roof. Halastra hung high in the sky. Her purple gaze looked over him. “B-Blessed be… the lady of… of shadowsss.” Hissed the hooded creature as he made Halastra sign towards the goddess and then quickly started to make his way along the rooftops. Below adventurers and guards patrolled. Surely they didn’t expect an attack already. It was far too soon?

The figure reached the edge of town and leaped across the dirt wall that was raised. His agility made it an easy feat. “What?” he heard. Like a shadow, he slinked behind a spike in the ditches. Orange fire-flame went over the place he was at just a second ago. “What is it?” Another voice said. Demi-human? Light elf? The figure wasn’t sure. If it were light elves he could be in trouble. For a while he heard neither voice. Then: “Nothing. I thought I saw something.” “You’re on edge.” The other voice said. “The dark elves aren’t here yet. Keep your wits.”

The orange light vanished again. The cloaked and hooded figure continued running. The trees were close. He ran into them without a second thought. He knew this place well. For half an hour he ran. Until he reached the place.

Before him was a dark elf maiden, digging a shallow pit with some wood and moss laying next to her. “You’re a slippery one, Radomir.” She teased with her voice. “War’s declared and you still manage to slip out of the town. So, did you find her?”

“Yes-Yes.” Skittered the creature as it lowered its hood, revealing a mouse-like visage. “The Traitor-Deserter. I have found her. She is in the village.” His beady eyes looked at the pit, then looked around. In only two more spots did he see a bit more disturbed moss. The huntress had definitely dug some more traps than that. “Mistress, why wait until the declaration. Why not ambush her in bed yesterday? It's easier. Faster. Cleaner.”

“And useless.” Nimueh cut him off as she stabbed down some sharpened sticks down in the shallow pit she had dug. “She’s more than just a bounty now. She’s a message.” She hated him questioning her. For one she had lived vastly longer than him and hunted vastly more dangerous game. Secondly, he knew nothing of war. Radomir was one thing only. A survivor.

When it came to game like the infamous Nabarra, you couldn’t immediately strike. Like a hydra, you had to examine the prey. See how it reacted. Then drive it or lure it into a trap. Weaken it day after day after day. Deny it sleep or rest. Keep it on edge for days if not weeks.

“Now-Now… the payment?” Radomir asked.

Nimueh carefully covered the pit trap with some moss and sticks. If the mouse demi-human hadn’t seen the trap being made, he wouldn’t have recognized it. Though maybe he would’ve smelled it. The huntress got up and turned towards the mouse turncoat. With a sweet smile, she said: “Could you grab the spade over there first?” She pointed at a spade somewhere in the corner.

Radomir grew anxious. The huntress wasn’t known to be nice. Especially not towards non-dark elves. The mouse looked at the spade. It looked normal. Then he looked at the ground. No disturbed moss or grass. Still, carefully he walked towards it, never putting weight on the foot he was moving until he was sure there was nothing but solid earth and root underneath him. From the corner of his eyes he could see Nimueh just standing there, waiting for him. He reached the spade. There was no rope attached to it. Did she really just asked him to bring the spade. He pulled it out of the ground and waited for a second. Nothing happened. Maybe he was really just paranoid.

Then he turned to face Nimueh. She held a knife backhanded. For a second he saw the purple glint of a spider silk thin thread in Halastra's moon. His eyes grew. Nimueh flashed him a cruel smile. He braced for a jump. Wood creaked somewhere. The spade flung away. His feet left the ground. He was in the air. The next thing he knew he was on the ground. Pinned by something heavy. He looked up. A heavy box laid on top of him. Something was wrong with one of his legs. He couldn’t move it. It hurt, though it registered like something distant. “Traitor!” Radomir hissed and screeched. “Traitor! You promised me! Oathbreaker! Turncoat! Snake!”

Radomir kept calling her names but Nimueh didn’t seem to care. She casually retrieved the shovel and put it away. “Your usefulness vanished when the war started, Radomir.” She said as she walked over to him and crouched before him. Despite this, she still looked as if she towered over him. “Now you’ll be useful as bait.”

“A thousand mouseling curses upon you! A thousand curses upon your father! A million on your people! You will never have Avalia! May the deserter kill you!” He hissed and trashed underneath the weight. With every move the pain became more pronounced though. His leg was burning.

The huntress’ eyes looked over the mouseling. No blood. That was good. He wouldn’t bleed to death just yet. With her hand, she grabbed his snout and turned it to look her right in her cold, icy eyes. Her mother’s eyes. Eyes of sorrow, the dark elf priests had called them. She didn’t feel sorrow now. She felt her rage being answered. “Save your breath, vermin. I need your screams in a bit.”

Solaris was still an hour out. Nimueh looked at the pyre. It would be big enough. And it was close enough to the forest’s edge to know for sure that it would be seen. An exhausted Radomir hung from a pole with his arms up. Behind it began the traps that led into the forest. In the front was a sign with on it, carved neatly, it read: “We are coming”. In the common tongue. The true message was written in the language of dark elves: “Your sins against your people are not forgiven. Your treason is not forgotten. Blood is owed. We are coming for you.”

It would be clear enough for the one it was meant to. Looking at what she made Nimueh couldn’t help but smile. Large game on Daka could be fun but there was nothing quite like hunting something bigger, something more dangerous. Her heart was racing in her chest. She was excited! Her eyes turned towards the wood piled up at the mouseling’s feet. It was built low. The fires wouldn’t burn high. They didn’t have to. The smoke and the light would be seen easily from the town walls. It would, however, make for a very slow and torturous death.

“Treason. Traitor. A thousand curses.” Radomir, almost breathless, kept saying. The last hour had taken a toll on him. Half an hour ago he could barely yell anymore.

Nimueh just smiled at him and then tossed the torch on the pyre. The oil carried the flame in a ring around the outer edges of the fire. Radomir, somehow having found new energy, began to kick away with his one good leg. His screams were first low and barely audible, then began to grow louder and louder as the flames began to lick his feet.

The huntress didn’t stick around to see how the fire would so slowly consume him. She chose to go up the trees and keep a safe distance so nobody would see her instantly, though she still had a pretty good sight on the small clearing where the pyre was. Radomir’s shouts and screams of pain reached her a few minutes later now. Which meant they’d reach the town soon enough as well. All while Solaris rose over the horizon. It was almost poetic. But Nimueh had no time to mule over poetics like some lovestruck seccenter. She would see her prey for the first time now.

The argument continued between Mika and the guard with the guard beginning to lose his patience. ”Hey. HEY! Let me go! I order you to let me go!” She yelled at the guard while trying to yank her arm away from him, but he had a firm grip.

”My orders come from your father currently, not you. I’m sorry, Highness, but this is for your own good.” He said as he began dragging her back towards the castle, but a voice caused them both to stop and look back to the gate. There stood a vulpine man who seemed to be fairly close in age to Mika. She blinked at him as she registered what he was saying, but thankfully she was much faster than this guard. She looked at the guard triumphantly as she slapped his arm off of her.

”The honor is all mine, Master Usagi.” She said as she bowed respectfully to him. As she stood back upright, she decided to pull the hood of her cloak down and the mask off. She gave Kuroi a thankful smile as she moved back towards the gate.

”Now if you’ll excuse me, I wish to take a walk with Master Usagi.” She was almost free and she owed it all to Kuroi, but then there was another wrench thrown into her plans as the two guards moved to follow her. ”Respectfully, Your Highness, we shall be following you for your protection.” Irritation crossed Mika’s face once more and she almost looked murderous. She closed her eyes and calmed herself before turning on the guard once more.

”Are you insinuating that the son of Master Akane Usagi isn’t equipped to protect me?” She then turned to Kuroi. ”What are your thoughts on this insult, Master Usagi?” Her eyes pleaded for him to help her lose these two and held the promise of an explanation.

Kuroi met eyes with the princess, understanding her silent pleas. He looked back up to the soldiers and tilted his head at them, "From what I can gather, you're a standard soldier of the Roshmi City military. If you are not, then you likely trained with my mother unless you're a new recruit to the elite ranks of the city's military. Regardless, I am more than familiar with your curriculum. I do not mean to be pretentious but I believe that, yes, I can take her off your hands. After all, it is the princess herself who requested to see me today to make up for my lack of presence yesterday."

Once again, the vulpine reminded himself that he was practically committing a crime. He, however, could not let such mundane politics prevent him from turning the princess into an elite warrior for her own safety. With the situation that happened the night prior, all formalities and irrelevant politics were past him now. Morality was more important at this time to him.

"I shall relieve your post and take her with me to begin her advanced training. You have my word that she will become deadlier than her brother...and that she will be safe with me as we train..."

He then looked over at the princess, lowering himself into another bow with his head hung low as he spoke, "I apologize for the death of your brother. I imagine the family must be mourning him gravely. Please...if you allow me I would like to begin your training straight away. Forgive my imposition but I believe that formalities are the last thing we should worry about..." Kuroi rose his head to look at the princess again, his gaze having a genuine sense of urgency. "...and keeping you as safe as possible should be the first. I will no longer teach you for your leisure...I will turn you into the hardest target to assassinate in all of Avalia. We will no longer concentrate on sheer swordsmanship...we will instead concentrate on keeping you as safe as possible...and only you can do that for yourself...through my help..."

After his monologue ended, the fox stood up straight again, adjusting his hat as he once again tapped on the gate with his cane. "Shall we go, Princess Mikazuki? The training fields are calling..."

There was definitely honey coating the words that came from the vulpine's mouth, so much that both of the princess' protectors could do nothing but go silent. They both stared at Kuroi, unable to answer as fast as they wished to. They knew he was right, they just didn't know whether or not they should release the princess. Leaving an assigned post was not something a guard should do (although to keep the princess safe, exceptions would be made). Yet here conveniently came the duelist to the princess' aid just as the guards were ready to drag her back inside. Only the guards stationed at the palace knew of this mostly secret arrangement between Kuroi and the royal family, and if the princess herself had requested Kuroi to come on the morning of this day, then who were they to stop her?

Begrudgingly, both of the guards lowered themselves into deep bows and gave their sincerest apologies to the princess before returning to their assigned posts.

Now that the two were alone, Kuroi motioned her towards him. "You have a lot of explaining to do, Princess. Let us hope this is not considered an act of treason."

As the sharp sword withdrew from her throat and she was released from the tight grip on her, Éliane lifted her hands slightly in defense. Rather a subconscious movement than intentional. She was in shock. But more so, she recognized, she was in awe. Only you would get mugged half-naked and find that adventurous. She would scold herself later.

But... something... about this person seemed... off? to her. Using light magic had crossed her mind within a second of capture, of course, it had. She might have been naive and careless enough to be captured by this... red-headed... gorgeous... quick-witted... Stranger! A stranger, Éliane ... But then again... a stranger is just a new friend to be made. She internally shook her head, not letting her inner quarry show on the outside. She is mugging you and you want to become friends? That's just like you, isn't it? Even with her own sword pointed at her chest, Éliane could not feel too threatened. Yes, her heart was beating in her chest, but there was no fear. It was... excitement. Her eyes ran down the woman's body, taking in her features. Something felt off. But god, she looked like trouble, and trouble had always called out to her.

"H-Hi...", she managed to say. She pulled a face that was more confused about her own tone of voice than anything else. "What kind of demi-human are you?" Had she really called her "love"? Éliane had only ever been addressed this way when alcohol was involved or someone felt the need to get her out of her undergarments. Which, she just noted once more, were still dripping wet and leaving her revealed to this... Stranger, Éliane! That hasn't changed.

"I... Why don't you put down my sword and I'll tell you where you can find a ship?" Her capturer had said she didn't want to hurt her - breath against her skin and whispers into her ear - and Éliane believed her. "Why were the elves after you?" She must have really pissed them off. Éliane had thought all skilled enough elves would gather in the Sun Elf Kingdom for the summoning of the humans.

A moment passed but this person seemed to not indulge her suggestion for lowering that sword. "Alright. As you can see... I have a bow and a quiver. Those are elven ones. If you haven't handled one before, be careful, they're a bit different from those made by demi-humans." Éliane swallowed. The situation started to sink into her consciousness. She was being mugged. Her personal bow, all of her money... And god, possibly her clothes. Unless she started to defend herself. There's no need. Still... something about that woman made her gut instincts defeat her logical senses.

"How would you feel about a deal? I will help you acquire your ship. You can have my rations. I'll point you in any direction you want; you see, I travel a lot, wherever you want to go, I should know how to get there. And in return, you will let me get dressed and keep my sword and bow?" If this stranger asked where she could get a ship... while standing on the island that was Port Vanarosa... she had no idea where she was. Something inside of Éliane felt like this was the beginning of some grand big story.

Demi-human? Elves? Avalia? Lizzie’s mind was going a mile a minute as she tried to work out what this woman and those elves were talking about. Avalia sure did sound a lot like Avalon…”Jesus, Joseph, and Mary, I’m in fucking Tir Na nÓg.” She mumbled to herself with a sigh, but she didn’t take her eyes off of Éliane. If she truly were in the realm of the Fae then she’d have to keep her wits about her.

”What kind of demi-human I am is my business as is why those elves were chasing me. I feel far more comfortable with the sword in my hand and at the ready as I don’t know if you’re working with those elves as well, elf. And I may have not wielded a blade like this before, but it is a sword and I’m quite fond of swords, especially their ability to slash and impale.” Despite all of this, she did let the sword drop a tiny bit as she looked the woman over. Lizzie wasn’t secretive in the least as her eyes trailed down the woman’s body and then back up, giving her a playful smirk. If Lizzie could also use charm to get what she wanted she absolutely would.

She pondered the deal for a moment, having already decided to take her up on it, though there were a few other conditions she needed to add. ”Alright you have a deal, however I keep the sword for now until I can acquire a new one. You can keep the bow and I suppose you can get dressed. Thank you for gracing me with such a beautiful sight.” Winking at Éliane, Lizzie finally dropped the sword from her chest yet kept it unsheathed just in case. ”I suppose introductions are in order, the name is Lizzie Murphy.”

Éliane's eyes darted to the sword as the woman in front of her announced her fondness for the weapon and its painful usage. Nervousness began to creep up her throat. If the woman decided to impale her after all, she'd be mighty disappointed in her own judgment. Now the fear she hadn't been feeling began to occur after all. No fear of the impales of the sword, oh no. She saw the way the woman held the weapon. Her stance. She was skilled, she knew what she was doing and Éliane was aware that she was attentive and quick. But Éliane was also sure that she was quicker. And she had the advantage. The woman was clearly not from around here. Perhaps she had been living - as they say - under a rock. Not knowing where to get a ship at freaking Port Vanarosa. Not securing the hands of a freaking light elf. She either thought Éliane incapable of magic or... and this was something Éliane couldn't quite grasp... she wasn't aware that Éliane possed powers at the tips of her fingers. She would not give up that advantage. Should the red-headed beast - and what a wonderful beast it was - consider her at her mercy.

The way the woman called her elf sent a spike into her heart that she quickly swallowed and ignored. Éliane watched her closely as the lady mirrored her and looked her up and down. A little scoff left her nostrils and a soft smile played around her lips. I see what you're doing.

Éliane felt triumphant as the strange lady agreed to her peace offering but the small half-smile was wiped off her face when she raised the game with an outright flirtation. Were the tips of her ears burning from the sun suddenly?

Éliane caught herself. Her attention all too much on the fact that her undergarments were still damp.

"Lizzie...", she tested the name on her tongue. Then she extended her hand, palm facing up. "Would you mind giving me my clothes from atop my backpack then?" Her eyes, for the first time, truly interlocked with Lizzie's and for a second Éliane forgot to breathe. There was something about that red-headed woman that tripped her. "Éliane", she finally introduced herself.

Lizzie glanced sideways at the backpack and the clothes atop it before grabbing them and tossing them to her. ”Pleasure to meet you, Éliane.” So she truly was in a different world. That was going to take some time to wrap her head around. ”Apologies for having to threaten you, but as a pirate I simply can’t risk going back to prison. I do hope you understand.” She wasn’t entirely sure, but charm seemed to be working and so she’d keep it up.

She took a brief moment to glance behind her, all too aware it was possible for someone to sneak up on her. She also began to think of what those elves said to her after they summoned her. She had great powers? Lizzie wouldn’t deny that she was quite skilled in many different things, but that didn’t seem to be what they were talking about. What great powers did she have? She glanced at Éliane as she thought about it, wondering if she should ask the woman. Perhaps now wasn’t the best time, besides she needed to keep what she was a secret for as long as she could. If two people thought she was greatly powerful then there were surely others that would think that too and try to exploit her.

Éliane caught the bundle of clothes and began to slide them onto her body despite her damp undergarments. As she felt the soft fabric linger on her skin and the comfortable tightness of her leather top she allowed herself a moment to run her hands over the skirt of her dress.

"A pirate?" She nodded and shouldered her belongings - minus the sword in Lizzie's hand. "Pray tell, Lizzie, do you have any idea where you are?"

Éliane still couldn't believe she got out of this situation with all her belongings still on her person - sword to follow - and without a fight. That Lizzie woman sure did not seem from around here. One hell of a pirate, letting her go just like that.

"Well...", Éliane began. "I promised I would show you where to find a ship and so I'll do that. Then I shall be on my merry way. Wouldn't want to bore you with my presence now that I can't grace you with my beautiul sight any longer." She considered the woman before her for a moment. It was almost a shame they would part so soon. Éliane, in thought, bit her lip. "You were in prison? Humor me?"

Well shit. Lizzie thought to herself as Éliane asked if she knew where she was. She thought hard, trying to remember if the elves from earlier gave any indication on where she was. Maybe Avalia was actually the area she was in? ”I’m in Avalia.” She said with a false confidence, fully aware this could go wrong. She was willing to take the risk, however, and if she was found out then she’d deal with the consequences. Éliane seemed suspicious of her anyways.

The woman’s next words had her smirking. How cheeky… She thought to herself, chuckling internally. ”Pity, and I was just beginning to consider allowing you to gaze upon my beautiful sight.” Lizzie watched for a reaction for merely a brief moment, before continuing on to the question of prison and giving little time for reaction to the flirtation.

”My captain chose the wrong ship to target. It ended up being a trap and when we were celebrating the victory we were attacked. Everyone was drunk and couldn’t fight besides myself and one other. We put up a good fight, killed quite a few, but were subdued in the end.” She explained as Maria flashed in her mind briefly. She felt a small twinge of pain, but quickly pushed it aside. Maria was gone and there was nothing Lizzie could do about that.

Éliane felt that confident half-smile return to her lips. Avalia, eh? You are clueless, pretty pirate. If the lady had no idea where she was, she had a greater story to tell Éliane than she let on. She was hiding something.

Before Élaine could muster up a plan to proceed with, Lizzie upped the game once more. As little as Éliane was prepared for this outright flirtation, the cheeky offer immediately set images into her mind. Damn my wonderful imagination. She opened her mouth, took a second too long to answer, and: "I -" She barely got the first word out as Lizzie moved on.

"I see", Éliane replied to Lizzie's imprisonment story. "However..." If Lizzie could up the game, Éliane wouldn't mind circling back to it. "I do believe an ... attempt... could be made to persuade me to forget the kidnapping part and to stop me from further asking questions about your current location. Which you of course are very well aware of." Her last words dripped with heavy sarcasm but they held no tone of threat in them. She let her eyes run down Lizzie once more, slower this time. The tip of her tongue played with her own lower lip subconsciously. "To set the odds even."

Yup, Avalia definitely wasn’t the correct answer. Lizzie thought to herself, but she didn’t kick herself too hard. Flirting, however, did seem like the right choice as the elf began flirting back. Lovely. Lizzie enjoyed flirting for multiple reasons. One, it was just a fun game to play. Two, it helped you in acquiring things and getting out of sticky situations. And three, it helped you get other things. It was one skill the red-haired woman often liked to use to her advantage.

”Oh? Is that so?” Lizzie kept the sword tightly in her grasp, however it remained at her side as she moved in closer to Éliane. She left very little space between them and with her free hand she touched the hem of Éliane’s top, playing with it for a brief moment before glancing up at the taller woman through her lashes. ”Perhaps that can be arranged.” Then, just as quickly as it all happened, Lizzie took a step back. ”But first we need a ship.”

How in the world Éliane could still stand was beyond her as the pirate moved closer to her. That sword still in Lizzie's hand, a looming warning. As she stood in front of her, so very close, Élaine was certain she could feel the other woman's breath on her skin, tickling and tingling. Her heart fluttered. Her breath got stuck in her throat on its way out and her lips parted in shock. Her eyes dropped down from her locked stare into those blue eyes to her lips that spoke such melodic words. A shockwave ran through her, originating somewhere in her chest, flowing down to her belly and spreading out into her limbs. A wave of passion and excitement.

Lizzie's hand rose and began to play with the hem of Éliane's top. Éliane's gaze locked back into the deep blue eyes. Oh glorious heaven, will you have mercy on me? I might never express the excitement of my heart at this very moment. How strange a turn my adventurous tale is taking. A second wave of longing rushed through her heated flesh. Out of her control, the elf's body leaned forward, towards her, ever so slightly, just closer. In the same blink of an eye, Lizzie stepped back from her. The sudden distance only left Élaine with more longing. You play your devil's game. Oh, how insolent your eyes meet with mine. Élaine's eyes were fixated on the woman.

"Y-your sh..shhip", her voice betrayed her in a tone barely even a whisper.

She heard the click and bolt, her body tensed, her hands were already halfway to her bow and arrows as the whisk noise of the projectile pierced her consciousness. Her heart stopped dead for a moment but her body moved on its own. As she stood with her weapon in her hands, arrow ready, weapon raised, aiming at the slit in the helmet of the person before her, two bodies dropped to the ground. Dead. She could take the shot and she would not miss it. But the breath stuck to her throat once more. A ball formed within it, bigger and broader until she felt like she could barely breathe. No... Subconsciously, she had somehow pushed Lizzie behind herself and stood before her.

Her eyes glistened with determination and hatred. The aim of her arrow was clear. He could move. She would still get him. Éliane felt the tears in her gut. But her face was blank. She looked so much more dangerous like this. Gone was the naive, innocent woman. This right here, this was a warrior who had never served an army and yet knew how to take a life within a fracture of a second, should she choose to.

The tip of her arrow glowed with light magic and her features, her hair, her skin seemed to offer a new unusual kind of glow. Above her head hovered a ring of light like a halo above an angel.

"Stand and answer for your crime", Élaine's strict voice demanded. Pictures of slit throats, a river of blood returned to her. Her heart sunk heavily as she forbade herself the sorrow at this moment. Two more bodies added to the count. Two more light elves. Dead. Her people. The light above her head began to vibrate.

Lizzie was suddenly pushed behind Éliane as the sound of a crossbow went off twice. Why do people always believe I need protecting? Is it because I'm short? She groaned inwardly as she raised the sword, prepared for a fight. However, she spotted a man standing over the two elves that had been after her. So they had still been after her, why was she so special? She still didn’t understand it.

Her attention was then grabbed by the glowing arrow and the...halo? What in the world was going on? She only stared for a moment before realizing she had a limited time to react. This man was offering a ship and she’d be damned if she was going to miss this opportunity. ”Okay that’s enough!” Her voice held immense command as she stepped around Éliane and directly in front of her. Oddly enough a barrel of water that was near her splashed out everywhere. How strange. She looked at Éliane and spoke. ”Alright time for truth, those two were after me because they wanted to use me for some great power and threatened to kill me if I didn’t comply. At the time I had no weapon to defend myself so I ran and I used you as leverage. They clearly were waiting for me to drop my guard and you to leave. Who knows what they had planned for me.” Okay it wasn’t COMPLETELY the truth, but it was true enough. ”Also he’s offering a ship and I’m not about to pass that up.” She now stood fully in the way of the arrow, daring Éliane to shoot her.

”As for needing a captain that won’t be necessary as I am a captain. We just need a good crew. Is there a tavern around here?” She asked in response to Barboda.

Equipment: A set of new clothing, his dog tags, and a set of faux demihuman Wolf ears.

Ismael had let out a mental sigh of relief when he hears the Princess commented on his clothing and made a quick judgment that he was picked up in an inopportune moment. Ismael let a small smile of affirmation come onto his face as he says to her, "It seems to be that way, ma'am, but you can't control things like that. In any case, I'll be happy to assist in any way I can".

Ismael was certain that he will assist how he can, after all, they were his ticket home. So his next question was why were they here, but like any good soldier, he waited until he was told. They were probably gonna tell them soon, after all, there was a slight urgency in some of the people who weren't directly talking to them. Most people had already disappeared at this point and the people summoned were all still here.

Honestly, Ismael wished that wasn't the case, because then he wouldn't be hearing so much yelling. Ismael turned to see the others who were here, the loudest of them seemed to have been swinging a knife around. He seemed to stand at an average height with a very slim frame, more towards that of a female. His features screamed that of a female, yet how he is yelling screams the of his more male aspects. From how he held the knife, he must have at least a basic understanding of how to use the blade. So Ismael wasn't gonna forget about him, however, he wasn't worried enough to need to be afraid. The thing to astonish him with that interaction and the next one was the introduction of something extraordinary, magic. The moment Rosaria summoned light from her hand, Ismael knew this was gonna be a strange day.

And within moments of this happening Caelen proved Ismael's suspicions, the kid was of average height, a little less slim build than the person yelling before him, but he seemed more eager about the situation. His eagerness had turned sour as the other Princess, probably a woman who is less soft than her sister, seemed very blunt about putting out the boy's weed. Caelan did not take kindly to that as he slammed his foot into the ground, and the earth underneath him cracked. Ismael's only thought was that he was far more dangerous than anyone else he sees. The kid had enough power to crack stone just from him being upset a little, Ismael knew that much, and something like that would kill someone and he did not want to be on the end of that. Thankfully he looked like a normal enough person. He seemed on the younger side, his demeanor really lent towards that, so if he got physical it wouldn't be hard to stop him. Yet Ismael definitely knew he needed to watch for him, he could just quickly hurt someone without Ismael being able to react.

Yet among the men here, the one who made the largest impression upon Ismael wasn't the 7-foot tall dragon man, it was the butler of the two girls. His demeanor in the face of a man swinging around a knife around and the boy who cracked stone under his boot was quite remarkable. His composure was untarnished, and his voice was steady and strong. This man didn't show he was a skilled fighter, but his composure and stiffness in front of it all told values upon what kind of man he was. Ismael gave Nuallán a nod and a "Thank you" before he went and started looking through the clothing quickly to grab something for himself.

After all of this, Ismael hoped for something simple and easy to wear, something with a bit of comfort to it. Yet to his dismay, most of the clothing was not in his size, as it was either too short or too slim. Yet he persisted in his search, as he finally found something in his size, a set of tight-fitting clothing. It seemed to be decently thick and sturdy, yet seemed very rouge-esque with a bit of wildness in it. Something Ismael didn't quite think it would fit him, but fit him it did.

He sighed as he quickly put the outfit on, it was tight in a few spots, the main points being at his crotch and knees. The pants didn't want to move with him, but it was the only pair that seemed to have the chance of fitting him, so he has to deal with it. The shirt was also annoying, feeling his lower stomach exposed so much made him feel slightly uncomfortable, but again it was the best he was gonna get without needing to make his own clothing. But among it all, he didn't even show the slightest sign of discomfort. The boots however fit like a dream, they fit just right on the foot and ankle, and with just a bit of tightening of the laces, it made them truly perfect to match his arch. Ismael always put high stock in boots, if you have a good pair of boots, even Hell would be just that much easier to go through.

Ismael had just finished adjusting his boots to find the other Princess had made her way over to him to give him some strange ears. They looked like those cosplay wolf ears you'd find people wearing. Yet these seem so strange, they seemed so real and felt real. After a quick inspection, they were told this was to be a part of their disguise, so Ismael quickly put them. As once they were on, he started shifting and moving his body, making sure they wouldn't fall off from movements and normal. He'd need to get used to them, they all would, because adjusting your ears isn't something anyone normally does.

Ismael had finished all of his basic preparations into looking like he didn't just drop out of a portal. He was ready to leave, yet the Princesses had prepared food for them to eat before heading of. Ismael wasn't particularly hungry, however, it seemed that there could be a possibility of them leaving very quickly, so having food in you is important, and he hasn't eaten in a few hours, so he gave a slight nod to the person who brought the food in, and the Butler again before he started eating. He looked back at the others as he thought: 'Oh boy, this'll be another 'exciting' adventure. Let's hope it goes better than Lichtenstein'

Time: Previous Evening - 9:00 AM
Location: A town outside Roshmi - Roshmi City

Well how does it feel?

In a town outside of Roshmi City...

She had been sitting peacefully in the tavern before shit went pear-shaped. It was a pleasant time. "Was", as in had been, before these fucking Dark Elves ruined it like they do everything else. The declaration of war sent the town into an uproar. People rushing fucking everywhere, no time to think, no space to move, no drink to down. Not after it was spilled on her armour, anyway. The piss-drunk outrage of the other tavern patrons became thick in the air as everyone stared daggers at Nabarra, so she got up and left. Thought she might try to get some fresh bloody air and sit on the fucking grass for a while. Give herself a chance to let her thoughts drift back to how vicious the Dark Elves were back then, and how much more fucked they would be now.

Another fucking war. For fucks' sake, she thought.

The smell of smoke fucked her plans. It wafted through the town, carrying screams and showcasing a red haze that blared through the tree cover in the woods just outside of town. It was near the edge. The fire came into clear view as Nabarra marched up the hillock, her sidesword was in one hand while the other shielded her eyes from smoke. The sword was less for any practical use - you can't fight fire with steel - but it did bring some feeling of stability.

The screams began mixing with violent sobs. And they never stopped, they just slowly died out. "Bloody fucking hell."

As Nabarra drew closer she saw the sign. Of fucking course it has to do with her. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up as she realised that whoever set this up wasn't just any bounty hunter like she's fought before. It takes cunning to set something like this up. The hunters who set this were working for the Dark Elf state directly, and they knew what they were doing. She tore the sign out of the ground and marched towards the fire once more.

A small crowd began to gather behind her as she moved yet closer. They were watching the fire, enraptured by the orange, gawking. The declaration of war was forgotten for a short time. Out of the collective mind until people began theorising and gossiping. Chatter passed around the group, and eventually they, too, pinned it on the Dark Elves.

As Nabarra drew closer to the flames, she began to see what was inside. What was burning? A demihuman figure lay trapped beneath a pyre, flames raging over fur and burning flesh. Morbid tinder. Nabarra knew how this worked, she'd burned enough people. That person was not dead yet. The flames had only just began to eat at the body as she arrived, which meant whoever that was had passed out from smoke inhalation not long ago. Some solace can be found in knowing that those flames can't be felt.

Nabarra tossed the sign onto the fire.
"You want my blood? Then fuckin' gather your piss-weak nerves and come take it, cowards." she snarled, eyes locked with the burning sign. She was fed-the-fuck-up. That poor person did nothing wrong. Nothing to deserve being captured and burned to death as bait to get at her, and now whoever that was is beyond saving and the forest is in danger.

She turned to the crowd behind her and approached the closest person. "This was done to get a' me. Blame me as much as ya like, but I'm bloody leavin'. You'll be safe again when I'm gone," she said. Probably, she thought.

She left for Roshmi that morning.

In Roshmi City...

Nabarra arrived in Roshmi just shy of mid-morning after a night of walking. The sun beat beat down, warm and clear on the rooftops and streets. It wasn't long before Nabarra began sweating - there was never heat like this on Daka and she hadn't yet acclimatised. The bustling streets only made this worse as people brushed up against one another and mutual heat built. Not just that, but they were too close for comfort and Nabarra was getting jittery, her heart was racing, pumping hot blood faster, making her flustered, making her irritated. This was all only exacerbated by the glares. The knowledge that, at any second, the crowd may decide that she's the one behind all this and take justice into their own hands.

After mere minutes of this she couldn't stand it any longer. She pushed through the crowd to make a beeline for the closest open space, a small alley coming off a community garden which led to a greenhouse. Someone was inside, but one person is better than... that crowd. She walked down the alley and slumped against a wall. Her head was thumping as she held it in her hands. Fucksake I need a hat is all she could think.

She stayed in this position until the sound of a door latch startled her from her stupor. Who she previously assumed was the gardener had stepped out of the greenhouse. He was armed. Gardeners aren't usually armed. He was also a light elf, not a demihuman. Well, they do have a thing with plants, don't they? she thought. Maybe he was a gardener?

"Hullo. Wot's with them weapons? The plants extra vicious 'ere or somethin'?"

There was a slight smile on her face. She clearly thought she was being funny.

Time: 9am
Location: Port Vanarosa-The Seagull
Interactions: NPCs, Helio @princess
Mentions: none
Equipment: A cutlass, 2 knives and a dagger strategically hidden, a spyglass, a wayfinder, pouch of amas, half a bottle of rum, various jewelry.

“...and the skies grew dark, the sea raged, mighty winds howled as out from the darkest depths of the sea deadly tentacles lashed against the ship-” The sharp-toothed demihuman spun his tale of his latest misfortune to the table of fellow sailors. Until his overly dramatic tale was interrupted by the slam of a frustrated orc’s fist against the shaky wooden table.

“Less talk, call or fold.” The orc struggled to even fit comfortably in his chair, his impatient eyes kept flickering towards the pile of amas and treasure resting on the center of the table.

Nym took a brief moment to carefully consider his cards, which were shit, but he had a way to rectify that. He slid his hand into the breast pocket of his coat, retrieving both a new card, which he carefully palmed, and a small dagger with a gold sheath and hilt adorn with a few precious stones. He leaned forward and tossed it in the pile, allowing the others a moment to admire it. Then Nym returned to the careful study of the cards in his hand, sliding the palmed card into his hand and palmed a useless one out.

An elf fidgeted nervously before placing his own cards face down on the table and shaking his head. “I need a drink.” The man exited the game and Nym turned to flash a toothy smile as he left.

“Better luck next time mate.” He said as his hand with the palmed card moved to his boot and safely tucked the unwanted card away from sight.

His attention turned to the final man at the table, an ape-like creature called Boone, boatswain of The Marlin. Nym had spent far too long on land and was looking for a new crew to join since his recent, alleged, survival of an encounter with a monster of the deep. He quite liked the look of The Marlin and her crew didn’t seem half bad either. “Long story short, I find myself in need of work.” He carefully studied Boone’s reaction, though the other demihuman wore an unreadable expression.

“Lost another crew? Second time this year for ya?” The ape demi added his coins to the pile and placed his hand down face up. A decent hand, but one he knew his own hand beat. The orc tossed his hand of cards on the table with an aggravated grunt. Based on his bets and the quality of the hand he tossed down, Nym wondered if the orc even really understood the game. He made a mental note to always join a game with said orc.

“Can’t hardly be blamed for malfunctioning cannons or the existence of monsters.” Nym addressed Boone’s comment as he laid down his own cards for the remaining two to see. Truly neither instance had anything to do with him, nor were they as exciting as the stories he spun them into. But Nym preferred an exciting story to the dull truth any day.

“Aye, sounds like rotten luck.” Boone’s reply echoed all that he heard for the past several weeks. Every crew he tried to join seemed poisoned by the belief that somehow his luck had spoiled. Nym put little stock in such thoughts, he made his own luck, but sailors were a notoriously superstitious bunch and it was tough work to convince them otherwise once that belief had taken hold.

“It would seem luck is on my side today. Rumor has it you're in need of hands, mine are sea tested.” He countered, his lone glancing at the cards with a raised eyebrow.

“Not desperate enough to bring fowl luck aboard lad. The sea bears ye a grudge.” Boone’s tone shifted from calm to commanding.

“Hogwash, the sea adores me like a lover.” Nym stood and moved to collect his winnings.

“The sea’s turned against ya. And ya cheat at cards!” Boone slapped Nym’s hands away from the gold.

“I do.” He replied with a smirk, grabbed a half-finished bottle of rum from the table, and glanced to the orc at his right. “But so does he and you’ll find a card or two tucked up his sleeve.” He added, more than willing to be petty if he wasn’t getting either thing he wanted. He walked away from the table without the gold or a job offer and was satisfied to hear the ape demihuman and orc begin to shout at one another.

Nym took a swig from the bottle and sauntered out of The Seagull, he was clearly having no luck finding a worthy crew to join here. The streets were busy, no matter the time of day in Port Vanarosa. He spotted a red-haired fairy who he’d seen passed out on the floor of the tavern earlier in the morning and grinned. Anyone foolish enough to pass out in public around here was going to be fun company.

"I know what you need.” Nym spoke as he walked up to the fairy and lightly shook the bottle of rum he held. "Hair o’ the dog that bit ya?” He offered. He studied the fairy, trying to determine if looked like he had anything of value ripe for the taking or was simply another washed-up pauper looking for a chance of fortune in a den of thieves. "Ain’t seen ya around before, what brings ya to this den o' miscreants?”

Raven was finally taking a moment to look around at all the others in the room. There seemed to be many different elves, but then she spotted a...dragonborn? Okay, no, she was in Faerun then. Did she really just walk into a D&D campaign? It seemed like she and these other humans were supposed to be the heroes too. She now began to look over the other humans in the room, first examining a girl who seemed to be on a beanbag chair and drawing. She’d yet to notice what was going on. Then there was a guy in a beanie who seemed to be smoking a blunt. Damn, she could use some of that right now. There was another man who was very pretty looking and rather unique. He was rather intriguing to her. Then her eyes wandered over to the man who was introducing himself to one of the elven princesses. He was very tall, but that wasn’t uncommon for Raven as many people seemed to be taller than her. He also seemed to be merely in his underwear. He also seemed to be very well built and-Shit! Why am I still staring at him?! Her cheeks turned bright red as she quickly looked away and down at the ground, trying to hide the blush on her face.

She listened to the words spoken around her, but she kept staring at the ground until she was positive her face was a normal color once more. Apparently they had some sort of powers? What kind of powers were those? Saoirse grabbed her attention before she could ask, however, as the girl seemed to be laughing at the fact that they were called heroes. She gave her a scolding look that seemed to say “really?” before looking back to the ones that had summoned them. Caelan seemed to beat her to the question, but then the unique looking man pulled out a dagger and started yelling at them. Raven blinked at him in confusion. ”What? No, I’m not Spanish..er...at least I don’t think I am? I really don’t know, I haven’t done a DNA test or anything…” She trailed off as she realized she was just rambling.

Saoirse then asked her if they were tripping and mentioned LSD which merely had Raven rolling her eyes and shaking her head. ”No, but that guy over there has a blunt and I’m seriously considering asking him to share.” She whispered to her with a small laugh, but that hope was quickly slashed as Princess Annya put the blunt out and Raven gasped in horror. That was so totally NOT cool. She didn’t have time to say anything, however, as the ground cracked beneath Caelan and Raven immediately became alert and alarmed. What the hell just happened? She couldn’t even focus on the food that had been pulled out or the fact that Saoirse was telling her to try some.

Another elf brought in clothing for them all, but then addressed the group and Raven could feel herself shrinking back as the man was very intimidating. She silently moved over to the cart with clothes and looked through them with the half naked man, making a point not to look at him in case her face betrayed her again. She finally settled on one outfit and held it in her arms as Princess Annya went around securing ears on people. She got to Raven and seemed pleased by the ears already on her head. Once she was finished Raven raised her hand. ”U-umm is there somewhere we can go to change our clothes?” She asked, hoping they weren’t expecting her to change right there in front of everyone. She wasn’t wearing the proper undergarments for such a thing.

Time: 9AM
Location: Castle Hall of Sun Elf Kingdom
Interactions: Rosaria/Saorise @Potter, Annya/Sophie @princess , Raven @Tae, Jomari @baraquiel, Caelan @Alivefalling, Ismael @Th3King0fChaos, Nuallán @13org
Equipment: Cobalt Saber, Cobalt Half Plate, Map of Avalia, Lantern, Water Flask, 3x Torch, x10 Travel Rations, Washing Brush.

Kharne watched both princesses for a moment, each one taking a different approach to the humans. Roasaria seemingly trying to act...motherly or sisterly to the humans? Annya was more blunt and acted a bit more liker royalty, which meant doing what she wanted within reason within the castle. But Rosaria had her manservant provide clothing and refreshments to the humans, which got the nearly nude males attention and the red haired girls after her bout of laughter. Red head went to food, nudist, his name was Ismael?, went for clothes. The other male was reacting very poorly and didn't seem very observant. What was spanish? Also who flailed a dagger all around, it was the lowest of low weapons, a literal last resort.

Shortly after it was dictated who was going where on the kingdoms side, he was going with Annya while Rosaria's butler would be going with the other princess, and the humans would be split evenly three per princess. That was okay, each princess had a wealth of experience thanks to their ages. He didn't get hired out by randoms anymore and he did gather information of the various higher end clients he went with. Annya spoke to him which got a nod from him. "Greetings, Princess Annya. It's a pleasure to work with you." He rumbled, his voice almost painful to listen to with how deep it was. Like a rumbling thunder overhead.

Some props were given out, different styled ears for different humans to disguise that they were actually human. He felt that it was too simple, but if you were just doing a quick look the ones with elvish ears would be passed by. A more thorough look might spy what the humans actually were. The demi-human ears were easier hiders since the fluff would hide the entirety of their ears and not just cover the top. Then again three random elves and demi-humans traveling with this nations princesses is rather conspicuous... He mused to himself.

Annya took offense to what the strange hat wearing human, Caelan, was smoking and promptly extinguished the thing with a pinch of her fingers. The boy promptly stomped his foot like a child while complaining about it. That got an eye-ridge to quirk upwards, just how old was this punk? Unfortunately it wasn't his place to discipline the boy. He was only tasked with protection...did that task include protecting them from themselves and stupid decisions and actions? He'd clarify things with Annya when they got moving.

Kharne really wasn't one for meet and greets, he didn't really want to be here but he was contractually obligated. He'd rather be outside working on his weapon usage or bettering his body. But he should learn how to be more social...but this situation wasn't really the time for that. So many things to think about in this moment...

Someone spoke to him, inquiring about his weapons. After the broadcast from last night, walking around unarmed anywhere seemed to be a foolish choice. He glanced up to explain to the stranger exactly what a declaration of war meant for Avalia, only to find himself meeting the eyes of a dark elf. He’d never seen one in the flesh, his familiarity with his people’s natural enemy was only through terrifying stories told to him as a child, stories in which dark elves were always the villain, akin to a boogeyman. While they shared similar features, her complexion was gray, reminding him of a corpse, red eyes as if permanently infected with bloodlust, and a sick expression of amusement on her face.

No need to explain what war means, sure she’s more than familiar. He thought as his hand immediately went to rest on the hilt of his sword. His eyes quickly studied his enemy, noting that her own sword had yet to be drawn and that he saw no other dark elves around. Had they merely sent one for him? Did they think him inconsequential enough that they had sent one lone assassin, or was she simply skilled enough that she needed no assistance? Three princes had been murdered last night, it seemed clear that the dark elf had come for a fourth.

“You’re a bit late, was I not valuable enough for your grotesque display last night? Cowardly, if you ask me. To slay those with their hands unarmed and bound. Your kin deserved less than what we gave you.” Orias spoke his words with bitter venom and shifted his stance expecting a fight. If he died here would that help fuel his family towards victory? Would they finally be proud to think of him going out fighting, finally making an honorable choice? Would they even know? The fact that this dark elf had come alone only set him on edge, only spoke to how dangerous she must be. Were insults enough to goad her into making a mistake, would it be enough to keep him alive?

It wasn’t the fear of death that twisted his stomach, it was the homesick thoughts of faces he might never see again. Rosaria, Annya, and the few true friends he thought of with fondness. Those he hadn’t seen in a long time, but who he never really considered he might never see again. Just this once, Solaris, do not be a useless shit. A prayer of desperation quickly thought while surrounded by the sunlight his god claimed as his holy symbol.

This man was a good man, that's all that kept running through Mika's mind as Kuroi helped her out. She would owe him big time for this, she would not forget this. Once the guards apologized and left back to their posts, Mika obeyed and moved towards Kuroi. She also motioned for him to continue walking with her as she flinched at his statement. "Let me preface everything by informing you that if you disagree with what I'm about to tell you and you wish to turn me in I will accept this. I will not fight you as I do not wish for you or your family's name to be tarnished in any way." Was this the best way to begin a conversation? No, it definitely wasn't, but this man deserved honesty and needed to know he had a choice.

"Some will view my plans as treasonous, but I have reasoning behind my actions. I am meeting with someone who is gathering a rebellion to take down the Dark Elf twins. I have been working with them for a while from the shadows, but after what happened last night and knowing how my father plans to handle things I can no longer remain in the shadows." Mika kept her voice low as she spoke so only he could hear, all too aware of the potential of hidden ears. She glanced around briefly, before continuing.

"My father is a coward, he wishes to negotiate peace with the Dark Elves even if that means handing the kingdom over to them. He would allow all of us to become slaves in order to save his own skin. I cannot stand aside and watch as my people lose their freedom, to become little more than livestock to those elves. I cannot let the death of those, the death of my brother, go unpunished." She glanced sideways at Kuroi, knowing this was likely a lot to take in. She was so afraid he was going to get angry with her and turn her in. Could she blame him, though? She was dragging him into something huge.

"I need to be stronger, I know this. If you are still willing, I would be ever grateful to you for training me. I will make sure you are well compensated for it. If this is something you wish not to be involved in then I understand. I have a letter that will clear your name and prove you knew nothing of this. I will make sure everyone is aware that you were merely a pawn and had nothing to do with my schemes, you have my word." Now all Mika could do was wait for his reaction. She tried to keep a brave face, but she couldn't completely hide her trembling.

Nabarra's eyes trailed the man's hand as he reached for his sword with blatant fear and disgust on his face. She watched, motionless as he studied her. She was familiar with that look. It used to bring her joy. Now it only brought an uncomfortable lump in her throat, sitting, taking up space, threatening to shit out emotions everywhere and make her look like a fuckwit. She closed her eyes for a second to escape the sight. You fuckin' deserve tha', she thought. You'll never make it alrigh'. How the fuck could ya...?

Then he spoke. The venom in his words caused her wounds to fester. She knew she was responsible, and that wasn't fucking good enough. She looked up at him, head still in her hands, face hardening. He was right. But... Was he not valuable enough? Tha fuck does that mean?

She shot to her feet, rage rising. The inner voice telling her no, Nabarra, don't do this you fuckwit, was getting quieter by the second.

"Now you listen 'ere you fuckin' shit. I haven't got nothin' to do with las' night," she started, throwing her arms out in exasperation. "An' look even though I got nothin' to do with it, you're probably right on the fuckin' money mate. Who the fuck do ya think y'are that killin' ya would send any kind of message? Huh? Fuckin' pathetic! I'm sittin' 'ere -- on tha fuckin' ground with my weapons sheathed mind you -- and ya reach for ya sword?"

Eventually the little voice just said, just do it for fucks' sake.

"Go on then. Fuckin' do it," she said, jabbing a finger at the sword, then at herself. "Fuckin'... kill me an' see what tha' fixes. I won't bloody fight back! I mean no 'arm. Unlike yerself, obviously."

You utter fucking moron the little voice said, louder this time.

"Ah fuck." The anger left her face, and the next time she spoke her words were full of regret, "Yeah. Deserve fuckin' piss-all."

Time: ~9AM
Location: Outside Roshmi City's Royal Palace
Interactions: Princess Mikazuki
Mentions: @Tae

Kuroi walked side by side with the princess, ignoring any gawks or glares by the passerby citizens. On the contrary to how many might act being side-by-side with the princess, Kuroi's stayed in front of him, only occasionally glancing over at the princess to make sure she hadn't disappeared somehow. His calm demeanor and how relaxed his body was could almost be seen as unnerving. Despite never having interacted with royalty personally, he was taking the whole situation incredibly well. If Mikazuki took a closer look at his face and read the intentions behind his calm expression, it was clear that Kuroi already had intentions and choices made long before he had met the princess.

"With all due respect, princess. Although I agree with you on much what you are saying, I can not help but think that there is more nuance to this situation than I have been allowed to perceive. What you plan on doing with the skills I will teach you is up to you but there are two things I must make clear to you."

The vulpine stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Princess Mikazuki, examining her beautiful eyes and her slender body for a few moments. His ears twitched slightly as he took these moments of silence to quickly evaluate her. "Do not take me for only being interested in training you for compensation's sake. I imagine my coffers could be overflowing after teaching you everything I know but that is not my intention. My intention is to keep you safe by teaching you how to keep yourself safe...that sort of instruction is not something that will come to you in a few days or weeks or even months' time. If your highness so wishes, I will take you on as a long-term student. Worry about compensation some other time...the fact of the matter is that you are a target who is at high-risk of being attacked...and so is the rest of your family."

He paused momentarily, exhaling softly before he quickly scanned the area around him in case of prying eyes or eavesdropping ears. Kuroi always was a vigilant one, especially if he was walking and talking with an individual of such a high profile.

"The second thing you must know is that whether or not I will decide to personally act upon the political manner at hand is something else that I will know in due time. As for now, I will remain as your mentor...and if need-be, your personal guard. I suspect you are not the type to stay still in one place...and with all due respect, princess, I can not imagine you being safe travelling by yourself. Basic skills will only take you so far..."

A sigh came from his mouth, coupled with closed eyes. This was a lot to take in for the prodigious fox. He knew that if he left the princess to go off and do whatever she needed to do by herself, it would likely end up in murder...and much worse. Kuroi began to walk again, continuing his short journey towards the outskirts of the city where less eyes could gawk at them. "Now then princess, my intentions are clear to you. I am willing to help you as your mentor if I had not already made that clear. Although, may I ask why you are armed from head to toe? I trust it was not because you wanted to come and see your teacher, now was it?"
