Sophie turned her head left and right slowly, taking in the mess of her surroundings. The ears of the two women before them gave them off as elves right off the bat. A strange dragon-man was off to the side. She rubbed her eyes, wondering if she had drifted off. When her vision began to refocus and the same view remained, she turned her attention toward her wrist to start pinching her skin. With a frown, her head slowly raised back to its standard position as she began to unpack this situation. Her gaze slid slowly towards the yelling man. He's larping. She thought to herself and shrugged it off immediately.

The black-haired woman in an elf costume started to approach her, complimenting her art. Sophie slowly smiled up at her, responding curtly, "I'm Sophie. Thanks. " Hesitantly, she closed her book and began to put it in her bag along with her pencil. If they had been in a cartoon, Sophie would have had twinkles in her eyes as she heard the words "refreshment cart." She hopped to her feet and glanced backward at her bean bag chair. "Ehh..?"

Sophie had some questions.

She had been able to put together that she had attended some sort of convention or roleplay club. She just wasn't sure why she had a memory lapse between being in her bedroom and the current moment. Her head felt okay and she didn't feel sick at all, so she decided to just let that issue go... But then why had she come without shoes or even a costume? Other people seemed to have forgotten their costumes too. Perhaps she hadn't watched enough anime to recognize the characters. The white-haired girl remembered her anime costume at least and the dragon guy's costume was absolutely outstanding.

Worst of all, why had she brought her bean bag chair here?

The same woman who had approached her was now roleplaying with the other guy. The other lady in the armor started to continue on about it too, even going as far as to put out someone's blunt. She wasn't too interested in watching the roleplay. The refreshment cart had been rolled out. She made her way over to it casually, figuring she might as well enjoy the convention. The food sure looked weird, but she recognized vaguely what looked to be things such as bread, meat, and fruit. There were small tin plates at least. Sophie went to town filling her plate, wondering why no one else had come over for the free food. A red-haired girl seemed to have her priorities in check as well and was chowing down. Sophie nodded to her with a mouth full of bread. Things got a little weird as some lady came over and stuck some cat ears on her head.

Hard-core weebs. Better just go along with it so I can eat the food. She thought.

Then one of the elf cosplayers started addressing the room. She glanced over as he was speaking, continuing to eat. He had requested their attention so politely, yet he could have shot daggers from his eyes if such a thing been possible. He's really good at this. She thought as he was speaking, her eyes wide. She had never witnessed such a good actor at something as silly as a college convention. When he finished his performance, she gave a light applause, but let it die out as no one else had joined her. A dark-haired man came over to eat too finally and she waved her greeting.

A rack of clothes was also wheeled out at some point; Sophie had missed when that had been, but she had finally noticed it as people moved toward it.. Oh that's why some people didn't dress up. They're providing costumes. While still biting into her bread, she moved over to start to glance through the clothes, her gaze settling upon a dress with nice colors. The apron was torn but she supposed it could make for good story. She plucked it off the rack and laid it over her arm.

If I'm gonna be a cat girl, I need a cute outfit.

Mika remained quiet, allowing Kuroi to speak his peace. Well he wasn’t about to immediately return her to the palace, that was a relief at least. She almost let out a sigh of relief even, but instead she just focused on calming her trembling. ”You are perceptive.” She said, though it came out as a compliment. While her family was often very overprotective of her, they weren’t very perceptive. She often felt invisible unless her presence mattered to someone else. It was partially why she’d been able to overhear some of her father’s plans.

She could feel his eyes looking her over, evaluating her, but she easily ignored it. While she was ignored by her family, if she was out at a party or anything she’d grown quite used to people looking her over whether out of jealousy, admiration, or something else. It was just something that came with the position she was born into. She was a little shocked, however, when Kuroi expressed that he was not interested in training her for compensation sake. She’d even turned to look at him, surprise evident on her face as he said this. Too often people were more interested in what they could gain from her rather than showing interest in her.

”You surprise me.” She stated once he was completely done speaking, a small smile forming on her lips as she gathered her thoughts. ”I appreciate your concern for my well being. It’s...refreshing, to say the least.” She then sighed as she glanced back briefly at the palace that was getting further and further away. ”If I would have stayed within the palace I fear I would have been an even easier target. If Dark Elves descended on that palace right now my father would welcome them with open arms. He’s far more concerned for his own life than he is for the rest of us that live there.” For a brief moment anger flashed in Mika’s eyes. She fell silent again for a minute in order to compose herself once more.

”While I’m surprised that you are still willing to take me on as a student, I am grateful. While I consider myself to have more skill than the average person, I am not naive. There will always be more I can learn and I am determined to learn.” She glanced over a Kuroi for a moment as she became very serious. ”War is upon us, however, and while I do wish to continue training, there are other things that I must focus on as well.” She now glanced around again, weary of listening ears once more.

”You are correct, I was not coming to see you though the thought had crossed my mind to see if you would be willing to assist me. Leaders are needed for this war and the Light Elves have asked for my assistance. I am on my way to meet with someone they’ve sent to serve as extra protection for me before heading to meet with Princess Rosaria and the humans she hopefully has in her company.” She spoke in a low whisper, paranoid that someone would overhear her as this was very sensitive information. ”I also won’t lie to you, I’m out for blood. I will see to it that those who captured and killed my brother will suffer and pay for what they’ve done.” The scene of her brother’s death played out in her mind once more and she didn’t realize her fists were clenched tightly in anger. She took a slow, deep breath to calm herself once more.

"I know what you need.”

A fella in an eye patch had proclaimed as he approached Helio. His gaze swooped to the speaker. If it wasn't for the silks he was adorned in, he would have looked like something that had crawled out of the ocean. Not to mention, he seemed to have no qualms about being loud with his attire and jewelry. He was given a pretty decent impression from his hasty analysis, but it was improved greatly as a bottle of rum was shook in front of his eyes, which lit up immediately.

"Nonsense. Dogs love me."Helio replied with a grin, taking the bottle immediately. He tossed his head back, chugging it down with loud gulps. He straightened and handed it back to him with a sound of satisfaction. There was a drop left. Glancing at it, he added with a shrug, "I'll get ya another one. " After a moment, his brain processed that the white-haired gent had asked him what brought him there.

Did that mean... He didn't recognize Helio? For a moment, Helio wondered how such a feat was possible, but then remembered that was the exact reason he had come here. Port Vanarosa was so far removed from Avalia that the few that actually resided here were out of the loop with some things. There was also the fact many of the folks had come with the intention to remain under the radar for varying reasons, usually of the immoral sort. His friend Bastian's voice filled his head, speaking just the way he had as he had protested Helio's departure not too long ago:

Why the hell would you go to that god-forsaken island of misfits of all places? Have you lost your mind?

Den of miscreants indeed.Helio thought to himself, pausing for a moment as he considered his answer,
"I suppose... I'm here for a good time." He finally mused lightly. He suddenly dramatically jumped into a pose as he introduced himself, his arms bent and his fists at each side of his waist, heroic style,"Helio's the name, being magnificent's the game."

The dark elf leaped to her feet and Orias quickly took a step back, keeping distance from the enemy whose foul reputation was enough to quicken his heartbeat. His instincts screamed danger, muscles and sinews clamored for him to draw the sword, go for a quick strike before the enemy could draw her own weapon. To stay alive, win by any means because honor didn’t apply to dark elves. His mind wanted him to believe that and his body wanted to live. But that was the easy way out, but a path that would make him no better than the enemy he feared. He had to be better.

While holding all the hostility he expected, her words only brought confusion. Who did he think he was? She didn’t know? It didn’t matter, dark elf assassin or not, he would not let his guard down. It had to be a diversion, but if not to kill him then who? As she wildly jabbed her finger towards him, Orias expected only the worst. His own fading light was not enough to combat dark magic, but no shadowy tendrils came for him.

Then her expression changed, one of the familiar pain of regret that did not suit the image of a dark elf he held in his mind. It could only be a trick. Her claim of meaning no harm was far too alien a concept, against everything he knew to be true about her kind.

“You want to die? Then why draw this out? Draw your weapon, make this a fair fight, I will be happy to oblige. But to go about killing unarmed opponents, is, I believe, your kind’s way. What other business could a dark elf have in Roshmi, if not to bring death? I will not let that happen.” His tone was cold and deliberate, but he could not ignore his curiosity towards her intentions. His hand did not leave his sword, it was the only defense he could depend on.

"Cold… wind… quiet, but not. There are… sounds. Small and careful." Everything but Vrexen's red face was shrouded in the shade of the frost-touched trees of the forest.

Daka, this is where he rose from the Abyss with the initial moments of his arrival being much of a blur. Unclothed, Vrexen's body was left vulnerable to the elements, but he would endure. Endure for her. Luckily, the overcast sky kept him from being introduced to the sun's unpleasant rays. The time would come eventually.

"North…" His third eye had him fixed in that very direction, but he had been standing in the same spot for some time now, taking in the strange world he was summoned to. The air was brisk but fresh. The dirt and dead pine needles beneath his feet were mildly comfortable. It was all so strange. His entire life presented suffering in its own shape or form. Most of the time it was blatant, so perhaps this place was more subtle with how it inflicted pain.

The problem was, he had waited for it. Awaited the suffering this world presented, but the only thing he experienced was bitter cold. For the first time in his long life, he knew what it was like to not be in the Abyss, the realm filled with layers upon layers of depravity and violence.

"A two-headed dragon of the dark… Sacrificed the world's beloved with vile hatred… Yes, I will go North." Vrexen leaped forward, his expression neutral as he moved quickly on all fours. He weaved between trees and leaped over obstacles with the fluidity of a native.

This demon had a long path to Malthemoor, where he would request an audience with the King and Queen of the Dark Elves.

Nabarra was not surprised when her aggression was met with a challenge: this man was hurt by last night, and now he's face to face with someone responsible. She looked at his sword arm, his grip tightening around the hilt, and she heard his cold tone. Reflected on the way he jumped back when she exploded and his reaction to her jabbing the finger.

No. She wasn't mad at him. It's not his fucking fault he's mad. She took a few small steps back.

Her hands flicked to the weapons sheathed in her double scabbard on her right hip, her left to the sword and her right to the dagger. They slid free quickly. Her face was set in hard lines. There was no hesitation. She knew what she had to do.

She threw her sword first. Hilt first, using an underarm throw. It clattered harmlessly at the man's feet, and the dagger was soon to follow. She kicked her billhook down from the wall it was leaning against, and over to the other weapons. She continued by removing her armour. By the end of this demonstration she was wearing only a sweaty undershirt, her boots, and her tight fitting hose.

"There ya fuckin' go, my weapons have bloody been drawn. I don't wanna die or kill, not fuckin' 'ere anyway. Those there -", she pointed to the equipment lying on the ground, "Those are tools of defense. They're military make and they've done a fuckin' shitload of killin'. But they've 'ad enough. Same 'ere. At least, had enough of killin' fuckin' innocents."

She clenched her jaw as she felt the blood rise in her face. She thought of all she had done. "My bein' in Roshmi is because I wanna protect. Besides, it's fuckin' military make. Infantry shit. Where the fuck's the rest of the infantry? Back on fuckin' Daka gettin' ready to march. I deserted."

She stared the prince in the eyes. Watching his face carefully, studying any changes. There was fear in her eyes, clearing their usual hard reflective lustre. But there was resolve in there as well. Her jaw was clenched. "Sorry about the fuckin' monologue. This is yer fair fight. My kind 'as killed thousands of yours unarmed. Far as I'm concerned, 's only fair you get one back."

Kuroi listened to the princess intently, letting her speak as the two began to descend into the poorer areas of the city. Although the vulpine's attention was on the princess for the most part, he occasionally glanced around the area in order to make sure no suspicious characters drew too near. He nodded at the princess multiple times, showing her that he was indeed listening despite how much he scanned the general area around them. Once she finished, the fox began to speak again, "If you wish to pursue revenge, then I trust that you will know when and how to pursue it in the most effective and safest way. Just remember than vengeance will consume you if you've not the willpower for it..."

The area around them began to visibly change. As opposed to the larger and more architecturally elaborate house, the working class district was filled with smaller one to three room homes of varying sizes. It didn't take long to start passing by shanties either. Although Kuroi knew that the district itself didn't exactly equate to more danger, he knew that unsavory types tended to hang around in this general area. Kuroi's left hand reached out to grab the princess' hand protectively. She could feel bandages wrapped around his palm, likely from his fight last night. Once he had a grip on the princess, he continued speaking, "I will take you to see Princess Rosaria...and if you so wish to learn, then I suppose we will to be a travelling duo of student and master. We shall begin your first training session after we leave the city and have already made some sort of progress towards the Sun Elf Kingdom."

After a few more minutes of walking through the poorer areas of Roshmi City, Kuroi eventually pulled her aside towards a tavern. His back pressed against the wall as he watched rougher and meaner folks enter and exit the tavern at will. "I hate to stop here but perhaps a quick meal will ready us for the trip ahead? Make sure to keep close though, princess."

Nimueh

Time: Morning
Location: Roshmi
Mentions: Nabarra @nasty & Orias @Helo

Following the former raider was easy enough. Nabarra stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the crowd of demi-humans in Roshmi. Nimueh herself would’ve stood out as well if she hadn’t been wearing the hood with the fake, filled fox-ear covers. For now, she kept her distance and kept guessing what the raider would do. Would she jump into the sewers? Head for a safe house?

Her heart started to beat faster again. She swore she could almost smell Nabarra. Was it fear she smelled? She liked to think so. The crowd was growing annoying though. People moved in front of her like erratic ants. A few times she forcefully pulled someone out of the way. Then suddenly Nabarra was gone.

Nimueh stopped. "Shit." Her heart dropped. She couldn’t lose her prey. Not now. She looked around. The place was packed. No way she could’ve jumped into the sewers. On the roof? No, Nimueh would’ve spotted her climbing. She walked up towards where she last saw her prey, then spotted the small alleyway. There she was, sitting on the ground like some overwhelmed idiot.

The huntress wasn’t about to take chances. She had to be underestimating her prey now. Her father spoke too highly of Nabarra. She had been made for sure. All of this had to be an act to lure her out. Well, she wasn’t going to play by Nabarra’s rules.

She jumped up a barrel, then a stack of boxes, then a shader, and nearly fell through, but jumped just in time. People said something. She didn’t care. In cities, nobody cares. Quite swiftly she got onto the roof of the buildings. Her eyes scanned the horizon. No archers nearby. Good. Quickly she pulled her own bow from her shoulder and knocked an arrow.

Carefully she walked towards the edge of the roof that looked into the narrow alleyway. Her heart was pounding in her chest. Though she kept her wits about her. She knew she had to keep the sun in front of her, so her shadow would fall onto the tiles of the roof.

When she looked over the edge she cocked her eyebrow for a second. A light elf had stepped out of what she presumed to be a greenhouse. A greenhouse, what a ridiculous luxury. As if this part of Avalia wasn’t warm enough yet. Light elves had grown soft.

Though to the man’s credit, he did know how to draw and hold a blade. The grip and the pose betrayed training. A soldier? Things were becoming interesting. The betrayer and the light elves exchanged some tense words. Maybe he would do her job for her. It would be a shape she would get to bring her father Nabarra’s ears, but he ordered her dead. Not to bring a trophy of her. “C’mon weakling. Finish her.” She whispered. Though perhaps Nabarra would just cut him down. In that case, Avalia had to suffer one less light elf. Either way, she’d win.

Except she didn’t, as Nabarra began to toss away her weapons. What in the name of Halastra was she doing? Had she gone insane? After only a decade? Then she tossed away her armor. Her armor! Nimueh became disgusted by her. Was this once the hero of the dark elves? The feared raider that killed tens if not hundreds of light elves?

Of course, she would fill those shoes one day as the most fearsome raider and killer in Avalia. Though she thought those shoes would’ve been hard to fill. Looking down at Nabarra now, she felt like she had already overtaken her. Now, with the war, she would swiftly replace tales of the betrayer with tales of the huntress. One swift arrow would be the start of her story.

“Halastra.” Nimueh whispered, hoping that invoking the goddess’ name would draw her gaze. She focused as she pulled back the bowstring and aimed along the arrow shaft at Nabarra. The light elf was of no consequence. She wanted to hit the back of the spine. Cripple her so she could finish the job up close. “Bear witness.” And then she released the arrow.

Jomari gasped when Rosaria conjured light from her hand. As far as he and the resistance were aware, the Spaniards had no affinity for magic and mystic arts as they said their 'God' deemed it as work of the 'devil'. He was aware his own people were before the Conquistadors enslaved his forefathers and erased all of their records on their culture and ways of living, rewriting his countrymen's own history to benefit theirs. They were vile, selfish, and despicable, using their own religion to blackmail and corrupt Jomari's people's minds.

The diwata in his Nanay Minda's stories were not bad and not bad at the same time. They loved playing pranks on humans and were very territorial, often putting a curse on a poor guy even if he just accidentally ventured into their territory in the forests and mountains. He even recalled some were called but above all, most were kind and generous. They were known to give humans they favored gifts as tokens of their friendship, but not without a cost.

The elven princess who showed the light from her palm ordered another elf to retrieve clothes for them, especially for two of the humans who seemed to be half-naked. One of them, who introduced himself as Ismael to the princesses, looked nicer right now for Jomari's eyes but he was such a turn-off for trusting these people at once. Another human named Caelan seemed to be in distress after he was ordered that smoking was prohibited. Ugh, smokers were the worst.

There were also the three other women who seemed to be close to Jomari's age. Nothing extraordinary about them at the moment so he decided not to care about them.

The elf returned with a cart full of different clothes and shoes. Jomari was used to stealing from the closets of his rich targets' wives but even they couldn't compare to how beautiful and stylish they were. The material and threadings that were used to make these clothes along with the shoes were so alien to Jomari. They even brought in foods that were more luxurious and delectable than the last. Looking at them made Jomari sad and homesick. The resistance could barely scrape by the month and they were all content even with eating dried fishes and tomatoes. Even when many of their comrades were lost to war, they still found ways to be happy in such a dark time.

He looked down at the pair of elven prop ears given to Jomari. Rage filled him from within and he crumpled them in his hands. "Nuallán, right?" He turned to the elf who brought the clothes and food in. "I'm sure you're well aware that servants can only speak when spoken to, yeah? So why don't you just stay quiet, follow your masters' orders like the obedient little dog that you are, and mind your own fucking business?" He said to him, shooting him with his own glares and mocking smile.

Jomari then turned to the two princesses, approached the cart full of food, and while the other humans were busy eating, he stabbed the one that seemed to be a big roasted chicken with his dagger. "You give us clothes, cook food for us, grant us powers beyond our wildest dreams, only for you to make- no, force us to put our lines for you. No, I'm afraid that's not going to happen. As you and your people have your war, it just so happens that my people and I are fighting our own war too. So let me just make this clear in a way you can understand... I will not put my life in the line for the sake of people I don't even know!" He shouted.

"I mean, how am I supposed to know you're not the bad guys here huh? All these shining lights and beautiful architecture or fucking whatever could all be a facade to hide how rotten and evil you are underneath. You promise us all these gifts a man could only dream of only to lead us to our deaths like lambs to the slaughter! If you think I am willing to die for you then you are dead wrong, your royal highness. I have suffered enough!" Jomari said, regarding them in their status with a mocking tone.

"You proving your magic doesn't mean jack-shit to me, princess. If you're so great at making light appear in your palms then why don't you go out to the frontlines and use that magic to fight your enemies? A good leader always fights with his soldiers in battle, not summoning other people to fight your own fights while you cower inside your ridiculously large castle like a coward. And you!" Jomari turned to his fellow humans who were eating and putting on clothes. "You mean to tell me that when someone abducts you from your home, gives you food and clothing, and wants you to risk your life for them, that you would actually do it? How fucking stupid are you? Am... Am I the only one here with a working brain?" He asked them in disbelief.

Jomari finally turned his attention to Princess Rosaria and glared at her. "So no, princess. I refuse to fight for you so I would ask you ever so kindly to return me back to my own world. If you can't then I'd just stay here in his god-forsaken realm and enjoy everything this world has to offer. Kill me, torture me, I don't care. Like I said before, do your fucking worst." He took out his dagger from the chicken-like food and tossed the elf ear props at their feet, turning his back on them, and was about to walk away.

Annya glanced over her shoulder at Caelan as he had protested her actions. She raised a brow at his words, wondering what 'OG Kush' was supposed to be. Her lips pulled into a smirk as her gaze locked on the cracking floor, "Oh look whoooo's a geokinetic."She mused in a sing-song voice, "You should be able to light it again when we're outside. You'll live." Waving off his overreaction, she paused to listen to Nuallán and gave him a comforting smile as he finished his words. She was grateful to have him here to help.

Then her eyes widened as a female voice reached her ears, asking where she could change. "Oh yes!" She put her hands up above in the air and clapped, "The curtains, ladies! We have about two changing stalls, so take turns hastily." Two maids eventually emerged from the archway, bringing in two squares of curtains on wheels. They left and returned with six small pouches. Each pouch had two rations of food, water flask, a bar of soap and a few other portable hygienic products. She acknowledged Kharne's greeting as this happened, nodding in reply, "Likewise, comrade. Help yourself to the food if you hunger." Then the human spoke and Annya's mood completely changed.

"I'm sure you're well aware that servants can only speak when spoken to, yeah? So why don't you just stay quiet, follow your masters' orders like the obedient little dog that you are, and mind your own fucking business?"

Annya's eyes flashed as she heard the words from behind her and she spun on her heels to glare, looking the man up and down. He had been the one pointing the dagger earlier. Surprisingly enough for her and probably to others in the room, she held her tongue and let him finish, her eyes clouded with growing anger with each of his words. He listened to nothing we said. Imbecile. She rolled her eyes as he stabbed the chicken.

Once he finished, she immediately moved forward. With narrowed eyes and dilated pupils, she stormed toward him with looks that could kill. "You must think you've said something so righteous and bold," She moved in front of him as he was walking out, speaking venomously, "But really, you've made a fool out of yourself. If you had been concerned with anyone other than yourself, you'd treat others with kindness and not treat servants as if they are slaves beneath you. Maybe you'd even treat your fellow humans here with some fucking kindness too. Maybe you would have listened to our words in the first place and realized we have no intention of forcing anyone. Remember? I said that we requested your help... "Annya was not one to stop when she was on a roll, but she did pause to perhaps let the memory resurface, "Right. You were too busy threatening innocent, unnarmed people with a dagger. We have no intention of throwing anyone on the front lines without them wanting to be there, without months of training and without healers. If you were listening, you would have also heard that Rosaria and I have every intention of fighting beside you, even in front of you! We have every intention of putting our lives on the line to keep you safe! When did we ever say we were gonna sit in this fucking castle?" Her furious gaze locked on him and her brows were heavily furrowed, her voice loud and passionate as she spoke to him, "You think I would let you die on my watch! I wouldn't dream of it! Unlike you, I am willing to die to protect others around me! I am no coward and don't you DARE talk about me in such a way."

She pushed closer to him, "You can be sent back once you are located somewhere safer and we can open a portal with no issue. A soldier who wants no part of a war is useless to me! I will not be forcing anyone to do anything they do not want to! Storm off and get killed outside by dark elves or the various creatures you know nothing about if that's what you truly want!" Annya was yelling now. She exhaled, taking deep breaths as the clouded fury started to clear a little. She couldn't keep going off this man with the lack of time they had, but she would let him know exactly what she thought of him, "You know what kind of thing you are? Selfish. You act without any interest to other's welfare, casting insults toward our sweet butler and these innocent humans. Speaking so rudely to my insanely kind and patient sister! Then you make assumptions without any care to listen to anything being said to you-... And you know what selfish things are? They're leeches that spend their lives never knowing love or kindness and simply just take and take and take! Re-examine yourself if you wish to have any kind of meaningful life!"

Annya huffed in fury, turning on her heels from him and storming back toward the others, "Everyone get changed, take a bag, finish eating. It's important we hastily leave as this place will not remain safe for any of us much longer."

Élaine, Lizzie & Barboda

Time: 9am
Location: Port Vanarosa
Interactions: @Helo Nym @princess Helio

“Yes, they would have surely punished her for what she just did. If anything I saved this red-haired girl. As for my crime, none were committed here. These men are not as innocent as you think, they murdered three people near a tavern in Myriamor.” He stated, pulling a bounty paper on the two of them given by the guild. “You see this? Wanted for murder. I have no reason as to why they did it but one of the victims was a member of a high-class family.” Barboda hoped that this was enough explanation for the elf girl. It did bother him to be questioned but when a civilian is brought into things, it is bound to happen.

He looked the red-haired girl up and down examining her. “It must be fate that you are able to captain a ship, it is at the docks. I will take you there once we find our crew, luckily I saw someone at a tavern who is very able as a fighter and hard worker.” He told the two girls hoping they would follow along. Barboda took a moment to remove the bolts from the elves, placing them back in a case on his hip. He then laid them on the back carefully and closed their eyes, being as respectful as possible. He stood up, returning to look at the two girls. Barboda needed a picture with his memory glass for kill confirmation but decided he should wait till the elf girl was distracted or not looking.

Élaine couldn't believe what was happening. That stranger in his head-to-toe armor just impaled two light elves. And yet... Lizzie was taking his side? The anger boiling inside Éliane let her consider shooting the woman standing right in front of her arrow. You think I wouldn't shoot you. She almost wanted to prove her wrong. But she wouldn't harm Lizzie. That much was true. And as much as she disliked it at that moment, her heart softened a fraction at the thought of the woman trusting her enough to step in front of her raised weapon.

There's other options... She could attempt to get her strike by going around Lizzie or simply pushing her out of the way. But she had already hesitated a moment too long. Her mind had made its decision and so Éliane drove darts into Lizzie's eyes as she reluctantly lowered her bow.

Your stupid boat. Éliane had promised the red-haired stranger a ship and she would have gotten her one. What did she need this idiotic tin man for? Life can be so insufferable.

Still ready to shoot, albeit pointed downwards now, Éliane held a tight grip on her weapon. Lizzie's words had stumbled her. They wanted to use her for some great power. A truth was beginning to drip drop into Élaine's consciousness to fill the missing pieces. A strange woman not knowing where she was, looking for a way to escape two light elves, who apparently would've used her as a weapon, the strange feeling that something with her was just...off. She quickly buried her thoughts deep within a drawer in her mind.

The tin can began to speak to her directly and that alone was enough to boil her anger back up and for a moment, the finger on her bow twitched and the light above her head brightened more. She pierced her gaze upon Lizzie. Walk out, a voice inside her head whispered sharply. As long as you can, walk out!

Alas, her gaze was forced onto the tin can after all as he pulled out two papers clearly stating the crimes of the two dead elves to their feet. Éliane's jaw tightened. Would she believe him? He either set this up, had wanted to kill these elves, and prepared forged bounty papers to justify his cause. Or he was telling the truth - at least as much as he knew it. The world is unjust. You don't know the truth. Her eyes lied upon the tin can now. Peering right at the slit of his helmet. But he murdered two people. And murder is never the answer. ... She wondered, for a moment, how whoever - or whatever - was inside that metal prison could stand the heat of the sun in it. ... Maybe it is time to adjust your ideals. She recalled having had that thought this morning. War was on the way if it was not already lingering in the alleyways. And it would jump at her with sharp teeth and no mercy if she would not shoot at it first.

"Lizzie...", she spoke through gritted teeth. Her gaze went back to the blue depth that had captured her senses before. "Don't trust him."

Lizzie glanced back at the bounty hunter as he spoke to Éliane, deciding that she definitely wanted this man on her side. If he weren’t on her side there was the chance that he’d be hunting her at some point and with how swiftly he killed those two she didn’t want to be on his bad side. She then took note of him looking her up and down and smirked before looking back to Éliane.

Oh sweetheart, you probably shouldn’t trust me either. She thought to herself, but gave her a small smile. ”Who said I trusted him?” She gave her a cheeky look, but then her expression turned a bit more serious. ”However here are the options, we go with him and trust he has a ship and the hard part is done or we steal a ship and that may involve more murder. I obviously don’t WANT to kill anyone, but I can’t promise it won’t happen.” Truth was she just wanted to go with the easy route. Stealing a ship sounded like too much work.

She then looked back to Barboda. ”Thank you for your generous offer. My name is Captain Lizzie Murphy. Which direction should we head to find this hard worker you speak of?” It was clear that Lizzie wasn't about to budge about taking this man up on his offer and she was going to do as she pleased. She hoped that Éliane would go along with her as she felt the woman could be a good ally to have. She wouldn’t force her to come along, however much Lizzie wanted her to.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you. The name’s Barboda Teff. Lizzie is right; I am not asking you to trust me it would be easier on us all to take the empty ship, but we do need to get out of here. I can lead you to the tavern. It is not too far from here... “ Barbolda explained to them, drawing off for a moment. He then added, ”Also I shouldn’t have to say this but staying near two dead light elves is not an ideal situation.”

He scanned the area with his thermal vision, making sure the area was still clear in the immediate vicinity. “We are clear for the moment, but if you need to do anything here. I would get it done quickly before I take you to the tavern.

Éliane's eyes darted to her sword for a second. The same sword that still lingered in Lizzie's hand. She could grab her things and be out of here. But deep within her, she knew she had already chosen her path. At least for now. One thing was clear and certain: Whatever road Lizzie was going down, it would not be a clean one. I can still get out when she's on her promised ship with her promised crew.

Finally, the light elf changed her stance. The arrow disappeared into the quiver and she shouldered her bow. "Your call... captain."

As Bardoda spoke, Éliane's jaw tightened. That canned little- Alright now! None of those thoughts! She gritted her teeth, swallowed her anger and disgust at someone who would kill for as simple a thing as money and lowered herself to the two dead bodies.

Éliane took a moment to study their faces and to let in a part of the grief she felt. Not for them in particular. She hadn't known them. But for the pain in the world, the suffering, the war to come. Éliane lifted her finger, drew a wavy elegant invisible symbol into the air, and brought her glowing with light magic fingertip down onto the forehead of the fallen light elf. With softness in her heart and softness in her voice, she began to recite: "Here in this-" She faltered... They weren't in the right place... She took a small breath and began anew. "Here in this forest, dark and deep, I offer you eternal sleep. May your soul rest in the wind. May your body rest in the roots." It almost pained Éliane to send off two elvish souls with so little of a farewell. But for a deeper farewell was no time. And frankly, she still didn't know if they were worthy of one.

As she lifted herself off the ground, her eyes found Lizzie once more. "It's settled then. You find your ship, your crew. But maybe -" She took a step towards Lizzie and tipped her fingers against the blade of the sword. "You want to find your own sword first."

Lizzie merely nodded to Barboda, knowing there was truth in what he spoke. She’d pinned the murder of others on someone who hung around a scene for too long before. She surely didn’t want to be on that end of things this time. It was clear to her, as well, that Éliane wasn’t fond of her decision, but it seemed she was still going with her.

Lizzie moved, stepping past the dead elves on the ground, ready to get going. She paused, however, as Éliane seemed to be performing some ritual for them. She was a little confused by her actions, but she didn’t stop her. If it would make her feel a little better then she’d wait for her to finish, as long as it didn’t take TOO long.

Once finished, she seemed to remind Lizzie that she needed to find a different sword. Well fuck. I almost forgot I promised to give this back. She sighed internally, but then something dawned on her as she looked down at the two dead elves. Sure enough they were both carrying swords. Lizzie moved back to the bodies and knelt beside them. ”Sorry about this, boyo. Thank you for your contribution.” She said softly to the body, crossing her body to show some semblance of respect as she removed his cutlass. She also checked his pockets for any money before standing back up. She strapped her newfound cutlass to herself before turning back to Éliane and tossing her back her own weapon.

”Problem fixed. Let’s go.” She motioned for Barboda to lead the way.

Barboda watched the farewell the elf gave to her fallen people. Even he could understand why she was upset; nobody liked watching their people die. He had watched his father die once upon a time and it had been one of the few moments he hadn’t felt so neutral and cold. However, he had adapted and he was sure this elven woman would move on in no time.

He was curious as to why this elf was still willing to follow after being held hostage, especially after getting so upset that he had killed her people. It was interesting to him that she remained despite her feelings.

Lizzie knelt down and began to take a sword off one of the elves. She clearly wasn’t a woman with a high penchant for being virtuous. He smirked under his helmet as he watched. Surely the light-haired elf would be irked about that choice. Barboda took this moment to take his memory glass and snag a photo of the elves. Shortly after, he placed the glass back on his belt. “Okay, we’re done here. The tavern is named The Seagull.”He waved his hand for them to follow through the maze of alleyways.

As Lizzie equipped herself with her newly stolen sword - a beautiful piece that would likely catch people's eyes -, Éliane caught her own sword with one hand and sheathed it. It felt good to have it back by her side. Albeit not being something pretty to look at - in fact, it was rather dull to look at - this sword had been her first to venture out with and she had kept it in excellent condition ever since. It therefore almost had a sentimental value. It had been her one true companion. Of course, her bow had always been with her, too, but this one she had had since she was much younger. It was a piece of her soul. But the sword, the sword was a reminder of the beginning of her journey outside of the Elf Sun Kingdom.

Éliane took a moment to grab her daggers from the backpack to conceal them within her clothes where they belonged when she was not swimming in the sea, half-naked.

The Seagull... She knew the tavern the tin man was talking about. She had been there a couple of times and if she recalled correctly, she had met one or two fascinating people there for a drink and a chat. The tavern was combined with an inn. Éliane had spent her fair share of nights at this establishment. The first spot to look for a pirate's crew.

Lizzie and Éliane both followed Barboda, one with more enthusiasm than the other. Lizzie gets her ship, Lizzie gets her crew, then I can get my supplies stocked up and she will be well on her way. Éliane didn't worry too much about low supplies. She had enough food, two sets of clothes, and her blanket and washcloth were still relatively new. However, she was missing many essentials for survival outdoors if she didn't manage to find a bed for the night. Her amas were more than enough for her to not need to worry about that but since there was always the chance of losing something like coin in numerous ways, she'd prefer to have a rope on hand and matches, at least. Some hair cleanser, teeth cleanser, and a brush would also be nice, although she had dealt without them for some time before when she had been low on amas. First aid was something one would consider essential too, she would say. It had been a rough patch money-wise the last few weeks before she was able to turn her luck around and gain some well-paid work. Money is such a funny thing. One moment I have 3 amas in my pocket, the next it's 500. She would definitely make a little shopping tour around Port Vanarosa before moving on with her journey.

Her eyes trailed along Lizzie's back as they walked; Lizzie and Barboda both slightly in front of her. Éliane wondered if buying Lizzie some essentials before parting ways would be the right thing to do. She seemed to be doing fine on her own. But she also had no coin on her. But then again, Lizzie didn't seem to be the person to need any coin on her to survive comfortably enough. Something we might have in common. If she would ask, which Éliane doubted, she could offer to give her a little money to start off her journey. The ship she would take over would likely have all the things one would need: rations (hopefully stocked), rope, wood, navigational equipment, very likely some alcohol - not that one needed that -, if lucky even some valuable items for Lizzie to sell. Actually, a ship - if fully equipped - would also have first aid items. It would provide Lizzie with everything she needed. That was, after all, what a ship's inventory was supposed to do, if one kept track of it: To have everything aboard for one's survival on the sea. Maybe she doesn't need any help after all. They turned a corner on their way to The Seagull. Maybe that way of living isn't so bad after all.

Lizzie walked with quite the swagger to her step despite her internal thoughts. She'd always done well appearing more confident than she truly was. You're a real chancer, Lizzie. Who would have guessed you'd get out of prison merely to land in this mess of a land. She thought to herself, trying to make sense of her situation. At very least she wasn't imprisoned waiting to be marched to the gallows.

Regardless of how I got here, you're here now and they have ships. No matter what land you're in, a ship is a ship and a crew is a crew. It's time to make a name for yourself here. She was internally giving herself a pep talk as they grew closer to the tavern. Off in the distance, she caught a glimpse of a strange red-haired man talking to an even stranger man with his hands on his hips. Intriguing.

She glanced sidelong at the other strange man in full armor walking beside her. What was under that helmet? For a brief second, she thought to ask but pushed that thought away as the thought of a far more important question. "So where can a girl acquire a gun around here?" She had a feeling he might know the answer to that question.

Barboda glanced at Lizzie as she spoke, ”You can acquire one from the dwarves. I’m not one for guns myself so you’re on your own with that.” As the three of them made their way into the main part of town, they began to approach the tavern. He had hoped that the red-haired fairy would still be present and was not disappointed. He was outside talking to some aquatic demi-human in a lot of jewelry.

He approached the two, allowing them to finish up their conversation before speaking. “Helio Millinia, I would like to request your help in joining our crew on a ship. We need to get out of here and a man of your status would be very helpful on board. Your friend here is welcome too.”

”I pray that I’ll remain level headed with my quest for vengeance.” Mika responded as she watched the area change to a rather poor district. She’d only ever been here once before when she met up with Éliane months ago. She took a moment to pull her hood back over her head and make sure that her belongings weren’t somewhere that could be easily stolen off of her. It hurt her heart a little to know that there were people in this city living this way and it seemed to be growing. Was this something she could help fix once she became queen? A moment of panic ran through as it had every time she’d thought about how she was now the heir. Would she be a good ruler? She doubted herself greatly.

She was pulled out of her thoughts as Kuroi took hold of her hand. She blinked in confusion for a brief second as she glanced at him and then down at their hands. She quickly realized it was so they didn’t get separated and so he could protect her. She felt the bandages and briefly wondered what had happened. Perhaps she’d ask him later, for now she needed to focus and keep her wits about her. Thankfully they were actually heading in the direction she needed to go. She’d listened to him speak and decided that she would inform him later that they wouldn’t have to travel all the way to the Sun Elf Kingdom to meet with Rosaria. In fact, she was eagerly awaiting a transmission from the elven princess on the bracelet she wore to inform her that things were a success and she was heading out.

Finally she saw the sign for the Nest and was about to direct Kuroi that direction, but he pulled her towards it anyways. He apologized for stopping there and she almost giggled, but controlled herself. ”It’s perfectly fine, I needed to come here anyways. Remember, I’m supposed to be meeting a contact? Come on.” She said with a small smirk as she nodded towards the door of the tavern before moving towards it herself. She moved silently as she moved through the doors. She gazed out from under her hood, scanning the room to see if she recognized who Rosaria sent to meet her before moving to sit at an empty table while continuing to search the room.

Rosaria was grateful for Ismael’s response and offered him a sweet smile. After that, she watched the exchange between her sister and Caelan Knight, sighing. She would have advised Annya to pick her battles if there had been time to while understanding where both parties were coming from. Her attention zoned in on the cracking floor beneath Caelan’s feet. So it’s true. A smile curved over her lips and then disappeared as she became stoic while her words were like honey.

"I am sorry she upset you, but please be mindful of others and try keep your tempers in check. Your power briefly emerged, Caelan. You have magic called geokinesis, as my sister stated. This means that you can control soil, dirt, rock, and more. However it will take time to master and your emotions will fuel its use, so mind them." She laid rings out on the table for each human and also the Avalians.

While she spoke, Annya had begun to hand out the ears and arrange things for them. Soon her sister returned to her side and asked her which humans she wanted. Rosaria was quiet and surveyed the room. Finally decided she’d take on the more difficult three as it was best. She was more patient and understanding than Annya could be at times. Though Annya had a good heart, she was an intense person. They needed the softer approach.

Nuallán arrived with the clothes and she beamed at him, “Thank you so much, Nuallán-” She broke off when she noticed his disposition and looked over. His words toward the humans were helpful, but she wasn’t so sure the dark-skinned one with the dagger was going to take them seriously despite his intimidating gaze.

As she predicted, the man had something to say about that and had even directed a rude retort toward poor Nuallán. She narrowed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. He continued to rant on, throwing jabs toward the humans and talking about how he felt as if they were going to force him onto the front lines. Rosaria understood his fear and misconceptions, but the rudeness towards the humans and Nualán was getting under her skin. She listened as Jomari addressed her directly without interrupting. Anger welled up inside, but before Rosaria could do anything, Annya went on a rampage.

Although Rosaria agreed with many of Annya’s points, she felt the most strategic approach would be to try to understand and reason, instead of reprimanding him. Once Annya had huffed and fallen back. Now it was time for damage control.

Rosaria took a step toward him, gently speaking to him, "You must have come from a hard and dangerous life. I can tell from what information you gave us thus far that it’s been hard to trust others and many have not been kind to you. You’ve probably had to do a lot to maintain your own wellbeing; I'm sure this wasn't easy for you and you're acting defensively as a way to protect yourself. You don't have to let your guard down yet, but please consider what has been said, and treat us with the respect we are treating you. Please simmer down and come along with the other humans and I, and I will do my best to keep you safe and healthy, and find you a way back home. I promise you this. However in Avalia, you don't have to worry about those 'Spanish Bastards’ as there aren’t any. Furthermore, we will not be torturing you nor killing you-"

“Princess Rosaria!” She turned as a light elf guard came to her side and whispered in her ear that dark elf forces were in Aldrakh currently and were on the move. The color drained from her face and her eyes widened. She quickly became stoic once more so as not to scare the humans, who were likely to be terrified. She tapped on Jomari’s hand insistently, then ushered Sophie and Caelan with her.

“We must go. Annya, keep in communication with me often - you have your transmission band.” Rosaria then pointed at Jomari, Sophie and Caelan with a smile. “You three. Please follow me. Come along as well, Nuallán. We must go. Guards dispose of these human items and hide them so as not to allow our enemies to find them, please. Guards, please station yourselves around the perimeter and also on the rooftops. I want extra guards on my parents as well. Humans, I laid out rings for you - put them on. They will help disguise what you look like and we need you to please put your Elf ears or demi human disguises on. This is crucial.”

Rosaria moved to pick up three bags that Annya had called for and then gave one to each of them. Next, she gave them time to change and waited patiently for them. Once they had changed, she led the three humans and Nuallán through the golden castle hallways. She remained alert and a hand near her bow in case. She also glanced at Nuallán with a smile as well as if to say, I’m so glad you’re with me.

Once they emerged from the castle, the view they saw was spectacular.

Time: 9 am
Location: Port Vanarosa-The Seagull
Interactions: Helio @princess, Barboda @Alivefalling, Éliane @Benzaiten, and Lizzie @Tae
Mentions: none
Equipment: A cutlass, 2 knives and a dagger strategically hidden, a spyglass, a wayfinder, pouch of amas, various jewelry, and a lack of rum.

So the fairy was a heavy drinking tourist to the port looking for a good time. Even more promising he was free enough with his coin that he was already offering to replace the rum he’d drunk. He had a fine coat and the sword he wore, from what Nym could see, looked extravagant enough that he was betting Helio had amas to spare. The ideal plan was day drinking with the fairy until he'd lost most of his wits and abandoned the foolish tourist at The Sailor’s Pleasure to be fully taken advantage of by the women he considered his extended family. A good deed for the day and perhaps one of the ladies at The Sailor’s Pleasure would have a lead to follow up on in his hunt for a worthy crew to join. They certainly knew the port’s gossip better than any around. The only real flaw in his plans for today was that it involved returning to The Seagull where he’d just left a likely pissed-off demihuman with rather large fists and no time to cool off. Ah well, a problem for the near future.

Nym returned Helio’s dramatics with a mock bow and a flourish of his arm. “Nym, bastard child of the sea herself. What a pleasure for ya to make my acquaintance.” He said with a sly and sharp smile. Nym would not allow himself to be outdone, by a fae of all creatures, and he could already tell Helio had an equal taste for attention. Nym found himself slightly irked by the fact that the other man stood a bit taller than him, his preference was for others to have to look up at Nym to meet his gaze, not the other way around. At least orcs were both ugly and simple, it wasn’t even work to stand out amongst them. Helio on the other hand was both well dressed, entertaining, and cut an attractive figure. He was confident that soon he’d have the fairy three sheets to the wind and halfway to the floor in little time and a small difference in height would hardly matter then.

Before he had a chance to suggest they head inside and see who had the better handle on their alcohol, Helio was approached by a small group offering the fairy a spot on a crew. A stroke of good fortune, seemed like the fae was far more useful than Nym originally thought. The man who spoke wore armor past the gills and Nym didn’t trust a man whose eyes he couldn’t see. He noted the short red-haired woman, briefly admired the swagger in which she carried herself, but their third companion told him that they traveled in excellent company. He flashed a genuine smile as his eye caught Éliane, a delightful elf he’d encountered once before but Nym never forgot a genuinely interesting person especially when attached to a lovely face.

“Éliane, darling, ye come to my port, looking for crew and neglect to inform me? I’m wounded.” He kept his tone light and teasing.

“Nym, finest sailor here, beloved bastard of the sea herself. Tell me, who be your captain?” He asked, addressing the trio.

Equipment:Black coat with fur trim on the hood, dark-colored, plain male clothing, sword with unbreaking and return enchantments, strength enchanted gloves, 2 medium red potions, hygiene products, timeteller, wayfinder, a flask, standard backpack, transmission bracelet and an ama pouch with 1800 amas.

Helio grinned when the male returned the dramatics, introducing himself as Nym. "Ah BASTARD of the sea! Fantastic. Your father managed to engage in intercourse with the ocean. What a feat!" He exclaimed. He, of course, knew what Nym had meant in actuality. He was riding the effect of the alcohol as much as he could at this point, probably overdramatizing it to even himself. Anything to keep last night's event off his mind.

Even already getting back to his drunken state, Helio assumed that this guy was definitely sizing him up to jack his stuff as soon as possible. He doubted anything Nym wore was actually bought with his money. Being in Port Vanarosa meant most people you met were probably trying to steal something off you.

Helio thought that it made things more fun. Maybe he'd just try to rob him back. If someone had the intention to rob you first, but you did it before them, then it wasn't so morally wrong in Helio's books. Nonetheless, he needed to stay on this ride for now. He also enjoyed that Nym was going along with his antics, despite not knowing whether it was all a show or not. With a chuckle at his own thoughts, he spoke again, "You know what, bastard... I have decided I am fond of you and I will allow you to remain in my presence. Wanna go do something stupid?"

The glorious sound of his own name being spoken aloud made Helio's countenance completely change. Finally, someone had the respect and appreciation to remember their royal fairy prince. With a huge smile, he aligned his body with the speaker and paused once he saw his appearance, wondering, Oh what is that thing? The man had some crazy helmet and get-up on. He hadn't seen much of the like before but figured he was from one of those odd demi-human cities that he forgot existed very often.

Helio was able to pick up on the words 'crew' and 'ship' in his distraction, hastily agreeing, "Oh yes. My friend Bastard and I were just looking to impulsively agree to something foolish and here you are with such a task on a silver platter."
Helio liked ships and being on the water; it was oddly freeing even though there was a looming sense of unpredictable doom at times.

His gaze slid to helmet head's amazing choice in company, two lovely ladies. Nym seemed to know one of them by name. He followed his line of sight to the one he had spoken to, noting the blonde elf was Éliane. The other female had beautiful red hair like his, but both were easy on the eyes. He nudged Nym, whispering firmly, "We're going on this ship."

Helio gave the girls a cheeky grin, "Ladies, ladies. You girls must be artists because you're really drawing me in." He greeted them with a polite bow. "Prince Helio Millinia, of the River Kingdom. Even better looking in person, I know. "

Tigerlily

Time: 9am
Interaction: @Helo Nym @Alivefalling Barboda @Benzaiten Éliane @Tae Lizzie @princess Helio
Location: Port Vanarosa
Equipment:

Tigerlily listened to the ocean in the background and let out a sigh. The sea salt air in her nostrils and the cool breeze it provided was pure bliss. Being on land and swimming when she wanted too and there was nothing better. She adjusted her hat, which she kept admiring, and began to head towards The Seagull. Her stomach rumbled and she found herself becoming irrationally irritated with the sun and the seagulls crying out hysterically. Those damn birds did nothing but beg and cry for food. Unexpectedly, a voice brought her out of her reverie.

”Well isn’t that a beautiful lass?” Tigerlily jumped and looked up to find a tall, dark haired elf staring down at her with a nasty grin. He wore whatever god awful outfit he’d either bought on his own with poor life choices, or was too drunk to care. He smelled like a rotten fish washed up on the beach and left to sunbathe over the weekend. It took all her self control not to cringe or wrinkle her nose. However, he did have potential; with bright blue eyes and what should’ve been a handsome smile, but was distorted by missing teeth.

Unamused, Tigerlily considered being snappy; but then realized by his breath he was inebriated. A grin formed on her face instead as she faced him. ”And a handsome gentleman, is it not?” She smiled as she took a step back, which he frowned at briefly and moved closer. Perfect. ”A big strong man like you shouldn’t be out here alone now should he?” She traced her fingers up his arms and grinned. He went red and he opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. His mouth hanging open reminded her of the fish she’d catch with those silly fishing poles the other races used. Sadly, this man was dumber than the orcs she’d encountered.

”You should definitely stay with a beautiful lass like me…” As she leaned closer, she examined the back of him. There was a hilt with some poor excuse of a sword and a small bag hanging from his belt pocket. Was it amas, or something else? Either way, it’d be her or someone else’s. She grinned as he stumbled and she caught him, letting her hands fall to his sides. ”Careful, dear. It’s only 9am. Maybe the sun’s too bright for you - follow me.” Without waiting to see if he’d come, she began making her way towards the alleyway. There would be less people to see. Like a puppy, the elf followed her, mumbling something incoherent. She ignored it and pretended not to notice. Tigerlily hurried ahead and pulled him along with a giggle. She pulled her hat off to hide their faces as he approached her. She grinned, then moved closer and began kissing him. He smelled like rotten eggs and rum mixed together and it was enough to make her gag. Luckily, she’d had enough experiences with these encounters and knew how to play along while silently suffering.

Tigerlily opened her eyes and found him enthralled with the situation. Now was her time. She moved away and caused him to move closer. She smiled as she set a hand on her dagger and pulled him closer. His body against hers was close enough. Tigerlily slowly reached for the bag of amas around his belt and unlatched it. Quickly, she stuffed it in her boot. He was too focused and interested to notice. She giggled and pulled away at the last second. She took her hat and set it over her head. He frowned as his eyes opened.

”What’s the matter?” He slurred as he stumbled forward and lost his balance. Tigerlily steadied him quickly and set him against the wall. He quickly slid down against it, bewildered.

”Your sea lass has much to do, my fine gentleman. You will forget this ever happened.” She smiled as her eyes narrowed and she compelled him into forgetting her. His expression became blank as he stared forward, lost and even more bewildered now. ”By the way, you’re a little awful at kissing and flirting. Try again some day.”

With a grin, Tigerlily moved away and down the next alleyway when a foul smell reached her nose. She allowed herself to gag and spit now, overwhelmed. She groaned and knew she now needed a bottle of rum to wash out the awful taste. Elves truly were one of the most loathsome creatures this world had to offer; or at least, most of them. She groaned as she began to compose herself again and glanced around.

That awful stench; where was it coming from? She began to follow it and drew her sword carefully. It reeked of death; an unfortunate scent she was familiar with. With a sigh, she peeked around the corner and found two dead elves. She noticed a sword on one of them and grinned. Today was her lucky day now wasn’t it? She made sure nobody else was approaching and crept forward carefully. She kicked them both with her shoe but neither of them moved. Shrugging, she knelt down and began to pickpocket whatever she could find. She slowly took off the holster and the sword and wrapped it over her shoulder. One could never have enough swords on this dangerous island. She noticed their attire but stood up.

Next, she moved out of the alleyway and into the shadows as she rounded the corner to continue her adventure to The Seagull. She was halfway there with a smirk on her face when she noticed a group of Avalians ahead of her. She paused and began to observe. There was a man in armor with his face covered; something she wasn’t too fond of, but needed to investigate. Next, there was a tall, familiar elven woman whom she noticed was Éliane. Beside her was an unfamiliar red woman; then a shark-demihuman she knew to be Nym and then…

”Helio.” She whispered, barely audibly and sucked in a deep breath. Her heart skipped a beat. Lost in thought, Tigerlily stood there a moment longer and then sighed heavily. It was now or never. Palms sweaty and her heart racing, she took a moment to compose herself.

With a glance over her shoulder, Tigerlily held her head up and allowed her amused smirk to cross back over her face. With the sword over her shoulder and the amas in her back pocket, she reminded herself of her luck this morning. Maybe… Maybe this was it continuing…

A chance to do the right thing this time…

A grin formed over her face as she approached the group. ”Well isn’t this a lovely group, Nym?” She came over and wrapped her arms around his shoulder and Éliane. ”My dear Éliane - what have we got here?” She studied each of their faces with interest, and then allowed her gaze to settle on Helio. ”A fairy on this island? And a handsome one too.” She teased as she let go of the two and folded her arms with a smirk. She tugged her blue braid onto her shoulder as strands of it blew in the wind and briefly irritated her.

”Tell me, Nym, what are we up to now?” She then turned to face him, while keeping a side eye on the others. She was smirking on the outside, but her mind and heart were racing on the inside. ”Please tell me there’s rum and food on the menu soon as well?” She gave him a knowing, yet pleading, smirk.

Time: 9:00 am
Location: Port Vanarosa, Outside The Seagull
Interactions: @Helo Nym | @Potter Tigerlily | @Tae Lizzie | @Alivefalling Barboda | @princess Helio
Equipment:

Action in inventory: gained 30 amas

As the group of three approached their destination, The Seagull, Barboda approached two young people, seemingly men. It didn't take Éliane a heartbeat to recognize one of them. She would never forget his pale grey, almost white skin, his cheeky grin, and his wonderful, delightful presence. A man of chaos and luck if she had ever met one. The red-haired person that seemed to enjoy Nym's company appeared drunk even from twenty steps away. Barboda addressed him with the name Helio Millinia.

The exiled dark fairy prince... This can't be. Was she really just standing in front of a prince? One with such a history, too. Tortured, turned against his people, he had raised his weapons against those he once would've fought with side-by-side. A tortured soul... What a tragic life. He must have suffered immensely. His actions had been reported all over Avalia. He was the "dark fairy prince" after all. Éliane didn't know the story from his point of view or even from someone who had known him. She just knew what everyone knew. But she didn't believe that Helio Millinia had just turned against his people because he felt like it and then, when he didn't feel like it anymore, pretended he had no memory of such an occurence. They must have done a great deal on him. The dark elves are not known for their kind and gentle ways.

Éliane's face visibly lit up as Nym remembered her name. "Nym", she greeted him happily. And with a gentle and respectful nod: "Prince Helio. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." But her mind was racing and her spirits were lifting with the sight of Nym before her. Memories of good talk, many laughs, adventurous talks, and a drink or two flooded her mind. "What a lovely coincidence to meet you here. I wouldn't dare disappoint you, of course, so let me introduce you to my captain. Lizzie Murphy here is offering you a spot on her crew, a gorgeous adventure aboard a ship sailing away on the sea and greeting the stars and waves as your most loyal friends."

Before Nym - or anyone for that matter - could get another word in, a figure approached from behind Éliane. As an arm was flung around her shoulder, a grin accompanied the elf's sparkling eyes. "Lily!", she exclaimed joyfully and wrapped two arms around the woman's neck for a strong but brief embrace. "This must be an awful lucky day for me. First Lizzie here decides to not rob me naked - quite literally, you see, as I was barely in my underthings", she began to overinform her best friend and in the process everyone around them. "And then I meet dear Nym as Lizzie was just looking for a crew for her new ship and now you show up. My heart aches, it is just so good to see your pretty face again, Lily! Oh please, you must tell me everything you were up to until right this moment. You shall not spare a single detail. I want to know it all." As the word flood from her mouth wilted, Éliane was smiling brightly. "I can't believe I didn't know you were in Port Vanarosa. I should have had a look at my Location Finder. If only I had! I would have met you sooner."

She turned her entire body to Lizzie with a bright smile. "Lizzie Murphy, this is Tigerlily Oceanheart, a very dear friend of mine. And this is Nym. According to his tales, he's a very adventurous and brave pirate." She let her eyes wander around the group of people. "Of course, prince Helio has been introduced already. And this one here goes by the name Barboda. He seems to be very well trained with weapons. And this is Captain Lizzie Murphy, a most extraordinary personality."

As Éliane's eyes wandered once more around the group of people, her gaze rested upon the dark elf prince. "I almost forgot to introduce myself. Éliane Faavae, I am merely a traveler."

A while ago

Slick had escaped one hairy situation only to literally land in another. He blinked a few times in silence as he had gone from standing in the middle of his outdoor camp to standing inside some fancy-looking room. The only thing Slick could think this place could be was the White House… but it was clear it wasn't, especially when the pointy eared folks approached him with some awfully odd smiles. It was damn near creepy.

”Welcome, human, to the land of Avalia! My name is Roland Tyver and I greet you to our world with open arms dear sir!"

"Avala-what?" Slick squinted at the man.

"Avalia…" He spoke slowly this time. "You have been summoned to a different dimension that your kind has not seen in many years. Our people, the light elves, humbly request your aid in saving our land from the worst of the worst... Dark elves. You will soon come to realize that you are in possession of abilities that you do not have in your realm. These abili-"

"Whoa there! Stop for just… Just stop alright! Elves and dimensions… and realms! What in the hell… Wait. Is this? This is hell ain't it? Shiiit, I knew it. Hell ain't so bad looking though. No fire or brimstone here."

"This is not hell. This is…" The elf stopped when Slick raised a hand.

"Avalia. Yeah. Alright well, just go on and tell me your tale so I can beat feet to the nearest saloon." He waved the elf off. Slick really didn't have enough evidence to determine where he really was si he'd have to take the word of tweedle-dee and tweedle-dumb. Never heard of a place called Avalia… Hmm maybe a dream… Or it's really hell.I don't trust 'em.

"As I was saying, you have abilities here that you wouldn't have wherever you come from. These abilities can be used to save many from those awful dark elves. We will offer training, food, and we will protect you from any harm. Then once everything is settled, we will send you back to where you came. How's that sound?" The elf looked back at another elf behind him who gave him smile and nod. Roland had stuck to the script quite splendidly it seemed. Across from them, Slick raised an eyebrow, and turned from the two as he placed a hand to his chin. He gave a few nods as if in deep contemplation before turning back around on his heel, a warm smile on his face.

"It's a deal! Free food and protection and you can count me in for sure. Actually, food would be quite nice right now. I never made breakfast on account of your magic trick or whatnot. So, Mr. Row-Land, how bout you help me to some fixins." Slick winked with a tilt of his hat.

"Oh yes, of course! Myrn, remain with the human while I get something for him to eat." Myrn simply gave a nod before Roland made his exit.

What a fine predicament I have here. One guard and a crafty sonofabitch. Slick had waited about a minute before gasping.

"Oh no… I forgot to tell the gentleman that I'm incredibly allergic to grains! Do you think you can try to warn the fella before he comes in here with somethin' that could kill me? Please, I can't even be in the same room as a grain. Makes me puff up like a darn balloon. Might even kill me." Slick pleaded with both his hands clasped together and the saddest face he could.

"Uh…" Myrn did not want to leave the human alone, but he also did not want to do harm to Slick and possibly have him lose faith in them. Family Biren would not be happy if they failed here. "Yes! I will go inform Roland. Just remain here for your safety. Please!" Myrn then hurried out, closing the door behind him.

"That was almost too easy. This definitely ain't hell. The devil ain't that stupid. Alright now... Give it a few moooore. Five. Four. Three. Two. And one. Enough time. Time to go see Avalia, the land of pointy-eared fools."

Streets of Roshmi

Flying boats? Cat people?! Dog people?! ELEPHANT PEOPLE?! What in Sam Hill?! This place is wild! WILD! All of the confused looks Slick received were returned with twice or even three times more confusion. Culture shock could not begin to describe what he felt. His eyes were the widest they'd ever been. It was all so surreal that he speed-walked through the odd alien city, almost fearful until his eyes caught a familiar-looking sanctuary. An establishment that served man the very drink Slick needed to cope with this crazy world.

"A saloon…" He whispered with an optimistic grin. The name of the saloon appeared to be The Nest on account of the sign at the front. There were more of them weird folk, but Slick kept his imaginary blinders up so he could calmly beeline to the counter. He was face to face with a woman? He squinted at her ears and even noticed a poofy tail coming out from the small of her back. The face and the non-squirrel parts were nice, but he couldn't stop looking at the ears. "Listen, I wanna start a tab. Gimme your strongest drink. I mean it. The strongest you got."

Despite his tension in the situation, when the dark elf began to toss both arms and armor alike near his feet, this time Orias managed not to flinch. Even with his distrust of the race as a whole, he was beginning to believe that this dark elf might not actually be planning to kill him. He glanced down at them, half expecting something to happen, but they neither exploded nor burst into flames. He wondered if they were cursed; would some dark magic-fueled sickness infect him should he touch them? He did not want to find out. If this was a trick, it would seem a very poor one, and nothing attacked him during the momentary distraction. The more the dark elf spoke, the less everything made sense. He opened his mouth to speak, then thought better of it, and removed his hand from the hilt of his sword.

How does one tell if a dark elf is lying? He wasn’t sure, he knew dark elves to be skilled in deception and treachery but both the words and expression worn by this one seemed true. He rolled his shoulders, tried to release the tension and hostility if no real fight was going to happen. He thought about how if he was stabbed in the back for letting his guard down amidst an enemy just how foolish his family would think him. He realized that their opinion of him was low enough it barely mattered anyhow.

“I wouldn’t call it fair, to murder someone in the streets. If you're remaining civil, I must as well. Never had much of a taste for blood anyway.” He managed to keep his words calm, not exactly friendly, but neutral was at least a start. He wanted a sign, that his trust wasn't misplaced. His gaze lifted towards the sky, towards the rays of Solaris. Orias caught a glimpse of light hitting metal and a slight shift in movement from the rooftops. “Duck." He whispered and dove from his position. Either this dark elf had been a distraction for another assassin, or someone in Roshmi had decided to claim revenge on the dark elf for the recent murder of the city's prince. Either way, he'd learn the dark elf's intentions more quickly now.

Time: 10am, Traveling from Sun Elf Kingdom to River port.
Location: Sun Elf Kingdom, but ultimately River Port
Interactions: None, other than NPCs creatures in the wild
Mentions: None.
Equipment: New backpack acquired from Sun Elf Kingdom odds and ends, traveling essentials including portal hygiene products, his journal along with the ink pot and quill, a small fire starter kit, a water canteen, and a bed roll tied to the top of his backpack, coin purse tied to his belt containing approx. 450 amas from his previous commission. Personal axe, forged from iron but etched with intricate markings, a 'travel-sized' pickaxe, made from iron and kept simple.

Stepping out of Odds and Ends, Orenn adjusted the strap on his backpack once he stashed all of his things in there. Though there isn't a whole lot in his pack anyways. He browsed the outfits, sure. But, unfortunately, there were nothing for a man his size. Of course, he could have something tailored for him, but that just would not be the Dwarven way. Sure. modern comforts are nice. But, thats not how Orenn was raised. Orenn has lamented the downfall of his family, but he has since gotten over that. He has embraced his life. Maybe, just maybe he can recover the Fists of Thror. Maybe he can restore his family's glory. Or maybe he was just destined to be a anonymous blacksmith toiling away in his small, unassuming shop.

Brushing off the thought, Orenn stopped by a nearby stall and bought some food that were made for travel. He looked around, thinking that he should head to River Port to see if there are more information on the stone that he is hunting for. He thought about writing a letter to his commissioner and telling him that this project will have to be put on pause due to the difficulty of acquiring the material they had requested. Thank goodness for non-refundable retainers. Orenn sighed, and started for the port in which he can catch a boat and head towards River Port...

-Nothing of note happened during his travel. He kept to himself and stayed away from the other folks on the boat also making the trip to River Port. He did end up writing that letter to his commissioner, putting his current commission on pause, until he can hunt down the stone, that is...-

Upon arriving at River Port, he realized that the pickaxe he brought with him is needing some maintenance. He found a simple toolshop in River Port that let him use their furnace and anvil for the small price of 10 amas. Orenn scoffed, but paid the price nonetheless. After all, a mere 10 amas was worth the price to keep all of his tools well oiled and sharp. He looked around, not wanting to pay for food and lodging for now. He thought to himself as he started to head to the surrounding forest "Hm. Maybe I can find some nice stones and iron to work and maybe hunt a Joverine Boar for food and use their tusk as decoration on my next piece of work..."

Orenn then began his hunt, primarily looking for the Joverine Boar while seeing if he can find a small cave somewhere to dig for some ores he can work with...
