Sophie had smiled at the boy’s comment. She enjoyed herself in violet as well and decided that he definitely had good taste. She tilted her head at his introduction, contemplating it. She recalled learning about the Spanish conquests in history class, but they were so far back in history. It was strange to Sophie they could even communicate at that point. Sounds like this Jomari boy has had a rough life. Poor thing. Dragged from one fight to another… Oh, maybe I shouldn’t pity him too much. People don’t like that… Could I do or say anything to help him I wonder?

Her gaze was then pulled towards a newcomer as they came bounding over. It was another elf girl, who then requested to join and Rosaria was quick to accept her. She waved to the girl. Aw. She’s so beautiful! At least we have a lot of elves here with us. They’re all enchanting to look at. She thought to herself, her eyes lighting up.

Caelan's voice took her out of her thoughts as he spoke to her. She turned to face him to find him handing her the same dress she had been looking at before. She blinked in surprise, giving a very soft gasp before she took it in her hands. She stared at it as if she needed to download the new information being presented then looked at him with a smile. ”Thank you. I can’t wait to wear it.” Sophie held it up to herself and looked down at it with mesmerization, twirling the skirt with her other hand. This was so nice of him! I can’t believe he noticed. I hope the elf who spent the money isn’t poor now or anything… Oh but it’s so pretty.

Time: 10 am
Location: Jungle
Interactions: Annya @princess, Raven @Tae, Saoirse @Potter, Kharne @Kazemitsu
Equipment: A rouge-ish set of clothing, his dog tags, and a set of faux demihuman Wolf ears, a Ring of Disguise, two rations of food, water flask, a bar of soap and a few other portable hygienic products.

Ismael noticed two different reactions to his name, he saw most look at him with acceptance or acknowledgment. Yet Annya seemed to think of it as some very powerful name and expressed it as such. He didn't think it was really a powerful name, nor did he think it deserved such ferocity when speaking it, yet the princess seemed to like it, so he'd let it stay.

He did get the info he wanted from Annya, they were to head to a town called Riverport. If it wasn't a port town by the river, Ismael would be quite disappointed. Yet he also got info on why they were moving, they were to leave before an attack commenced. Ismael understood why to bring them away, he just didn't know one thing, would the city fare well. Sure their army might be strong, but if they were banking their hopes on some random Joe Schmoes coming through a portal to help them win a war, they might be in bigger trouble than they let on. However this wasn't the time to think of things like that, people seemed to be more worried of other things.

As Ismael noticed the others gave some more introductions, yet he felt giving one for himself would feel unwarranted now he spoke his name, so he'll just keep it to himself for now. Yet as he listened to the others speak he heard each person's upbringings and their current happenings before coming here.

Kharne was quite old actually, he probably has a longer life span than humans do. However, it wasn't when he died that made Ismael interested, it was how many years was Kharne a Mercenary. He was a professional soldier for years, so his duty was to be and surpass excellently. In a profession where most die young, he was an old practitioner of his craft, the only thing that beats the wisdom and skill of the old is the youth and ferocity of the young yet it seemed that was not much of a worry yet for the Dragonborn. He was one to learn from if anyone.

Next was the strange white-haired girl named Raven. She was just a year over the legal drinking age in their world and a professional…cosplayer? Ismael had heard of many ways to make money, but he never thought that could be an option. Ismael had to know, he had such curiosity as to what such work could entail, "Professional Cosplayer? Was the work akin to modeling?". Ismael threw the question to Raven from the sheer wish to know what work could be found as a 'Professional Cosplayer'.

'Shae' seemed to have taken a moment to give a name, may it have been out of thinking if she should give it or not, or out of a want to think up of a name to hide her real name. Ismael didn't harp on such things, yet what he did take detail of was her skills. It seemed quite a few different skills were in her arsenal for self-defense may it have been out of interest, hobbies, or necessity, he is not sure of. Yet he knows that she won't be a slouch to the impending war to come.

After some quick thoughts, Ismael remembered out of all of them, both Raven and Shae fell through the same portal and landed on each other. They both yelled at each other as something happened before the portal opening, may it be they both fell through while doing something as Raven yelled like she was forced in by Shae. So that meant they both knew each other if not close in relation but in close in proximity, so they both came from the same place and time. That'd be good, so whatever one says from their time it will be true for the other. If a pillar of support is needed, someone who knows of you and can understand your plight is important. And the best people at a time like this are either people who are saints who understand people, or people who had come from a similar background as you. Shae and Raven might not have been similar in background, but coming from the same place and time would help them keep each other grounded at least.

Yet before Ismael could continue thinking he had a thought, that Shae immediately asked as well, what of the power they supposedly possess. Ismael believes these powers must have some trigger, like emotion, yet if it was based on what emotion you used for the power you'd get, Ismael believed the boy who threw a hissy fit over an unlit blunt would have produced fire. After all, humans have always put fire as the element of uncontrolled anger, not earth. So it must have some randomness to it, however, he believed it must have been elemental since Caelan can control earth. That would mean very few things could use such magic, after all, why summon people who could use magic that you could.

After all, if you needed to summon more 'power', either their magic needed to be far more powerful than yours, or you'd need to summon many more people than they did. Even 30 magic wielders couldn't make much of a difference in a war if they could wield the same magic you did with the same power. Well, Ismael would hope that is the case or magic that the people of this world can do much more dangerous than he can even think, as the only thing that humans have that can be considered similar in power is nuclear weapons. And if that is at the fingertips of a person, that could be the most dangerous thing.

Amongst all, the thing he is most worried about was what they were to fight in this world. Human's never needed to worry about other animals, after all, their biggest competitor was other humans. Not monsters nor beasts, so what if they needed to fight something so powerful that only magic could fight. Ismael didn't have magic at the moment, so he'd have to look at those kinds of monsters like Tanks, with the right stuff, possible, yet other than that, literally impossible. So Ismael wanted to ask to know, in case of, something worrisome lived in this Jungle, "May I ask, what lives in these Jungles? Is there anything in here we would need to worry about? Any large predators here that would see us as potential prey?"

Time: 10am
Location: Port Vanarosa; The Ship
Interaction:@HeloNym @Alivefalling Barboda @Benzaiten Éliane @Tae Lizzie @Potter Tigerlily
Equipment:Black coat with fur trim on the hood, dark-colored, plain male clothing, sword with unbreaking and return enchantments, strength enchanted gloves, 2 medium red potions, hygiene products, timeteller, wayfinder, a flask, standard backpack, accordion, transmission bracelet and an ama pouch with 1740 amas.

Helio whirled his head to look at the blue-haired woman approaching him. ”Oh.. Tigerlily right? I was just warming up. But I’ll let you teach me anything, darling. What say I is yes.” He returned the wink with a cheeky grin in her direction.Still got it!

He glanced behind him a moment as his thoughts caught up to the silent moment of boarding the ship. Hesitating only for a moment, he then sighed and jogged up to the ship. It struck him as peculiar quite quickly when the smell of food reached his nostrils. It smelled almost as good as the feasts he used to have with his family. But why would something be like that on a ship?

Helio followed the scent over to the stairs and crouched down, trying to get a peek as Lizzie’s voice addressed everyone. She was laying down the rules, which didn’t seem too bad so far: just fairness and equal share of things. He had always imagined pirates to be a bit more savage with each other. When Lizzie looked at them to analyze their reactions, he gave her two encouraging thumbs up, mouthing, ” You’re doing great, love!”

Unfortunately for them, marooning a man with wings was pointless. Helio had his wings folded under his loose coat, which had slits to put them through if need be. Though he was sure she’d be creative if given the opportunity, he still smirked to himself. Helio rose to his feet as she questioned them, nonchalantly replying, ” Crystal clear. I have not sailed a ship prior, but I’m a fast learner. I’ll figure it out.” His brows soon raised as Nym announced he had forty years of experience. That was a long time to be sailing. He hadn’t been kidding about being a bastard of the sea.

Barboda led the way to the feast Helio had been sniffing out. It looked as good as it smelled and he gave Barboda a thankful grin. He heard something about a man being in the bottom of the ship, but it didn’t seem to alert Helio much.

Helio took a chicken wing in hand hungrily, only to feel his wrist start to vibrate. Glancing down at it, his eyes fixated on the glowing gem. He supposed it was probably Bastian, who checked in on him now and then. Turning on his heels, he ascended back up to the top deck and moved to the side of the ship to lean on it, dropping his accordion on the floor. He held down on the gem to answer as a hologram appeared.

He had been casually biting into the chicken leg with his other hand as he answered, only to see his mother’s face appear. He swallowed quickly, his laid-back position changing immediately. She was just as he saw her last: beautiful red, long hair, and sad eyes filled with tears. The sight made him sober up fast. ”You okay, momma?” He asked softly. He hoped she wasn’t calling him where others could see, however, he assumed she and his father had relocated amidst the assassinations.

”Helio... I just needed to know you’re alright. I know you asked me not to call you. ” She said with a sigh of relief. ” I’m okay as I can be, sweetheart. Your father and I are safe.”

” I’m glad. You two need to stay out of sight. Maybe even out of this war if possible. River Kingdom’s been through enough the last few years. ”

I put them through enough.

She shook her head, ” You know we simply cannot stay out of this. Everyone is enraged for what they have done to you and Echo. Your father especially. Roshmi is to side with them so this is going to be a nationwide war that no one will be able to turn a blind eye to. Those dark elves plan to take everything from all of us-”

Helio knew she was right. Killing a prince essentially forces the other party to have to react. It had been the goal of the dark elves to declare war on all of them afterall. Then he did a double-take as she spoke of Roshmi. He had been speaking softly to keep the conversation private between him and his mother as the others were downstairs, but he couldn’t help but yell at the news being given to him. ” Roshmi! They are siding with the dark elves?!”

”You know how King Kasai can be-...”

” Oh of course I know he’s a total piece of sh-... but I didn’t think after his own son even…” Helio felt hot anger fill him and he gritted his teeth. “There’s no way the people of Roshmi will accept that.”

”I don’t know what they will do. Their army is going to be loyal to their king…” Elyna then sadly stared at him before speaking again with a voice full of heartbreak, ”Helio… Won’t you come home?”

Helio’s heart sank. He hated refusing her every time she asked. It felt absolutely awful to do this to her, especially after she had lost her own son. He knew the fairies were already frightened enough, and if he came back, they’d fear his wrath as well. It wasn’t long ago that he had been the play-thing of the Two-Headed Dragon. Now that they were declaring war, they’d probably think he’d been sent back to kill and torture again.

”I’m sorry. I just can’t...” Helio raised his gaze and put on a big smile for her, ” But I will be okay. You know I will. Just make sure you and dad stay somewhere secure while all this is going on.”

The disappointment in her eyes was evident, but she too put on a warm smile, ” Alright. I love you, my son. Wherever you are, please stay safe.”

Helio watched the hologram dissolve and returned his gaze forward, his smile fading. He finished up the one chicken leg and tossed the bone in the ocean, deciding to just stay on the deck for now as his hunger had dissipated.

Rosaria

Time: 10:00 am
Location: Outside Sun Elf Kingdom → Jungle
Interactions: @baraquiel Jomari @Alivefalling Caelan @13org Nuallán @princess Sophie @chrysocoma Aurora

Rosaria’s cheeks reddened and she quickly ducked her head so Nuallán wouldn't notice. She grinned at him and playfully wrapped an arm around his shoulders. She turned her head up to stare at him. ”I could say the same thing about your chuckle.” She let go of him and turned to face Aurora. She beamed at her and nodded. ”Your kind words are appreciated and cherished. I thank you for joining us on this adventure. I wish for you to protect the humans with all your might.”

Rosaria turned to the troublemaker and remained friendly. She frowned as he spoke, but noticed he seemed nonchalant. This poor boy was only twenty-four years old and had suffered quite intensely. Her heart ached for him. She didn’t react when he announced his orientation. IT didn’t bother her and she accepted him for who he was. ”You certainly have gone through a lot for your age. I want you to know I am here for you. The Spanish bastards are unlikely to be here. I also accept your orientation and want you to know that it’s normal here.” She then eyed him as he examined the Odds and Ends store. As he picked up the poison, Rose glanced at Nuallán. Her eyebrows furrowed, and she quickly turned back to Jomari when he quizzed her on what the contents were. She remained calm, but her heart rate picked up slightly. What do you need that for…?

”Yes, that is poison and no, you cannot have it. We don’t need it. I can find poison on the road if needed.” Rosaria glanced at the storekeeper and nodded to her for her to hide it, to which the woman thankfully followed suit. ”This way, everyone.” She ushered them forward through the city for a few minutes until they reached its edge, and then brought them into the jungle. Then, she glanced backward to make sure everyone was joining and kept an eye on Jomari. She tapped Nuallán's wrist, a signal she had given to him to let her know she was becoming nervous when surrounded by others. ”That one needs an eye on him at all times.” Her voice was soft for only him to hear as her eyes narrowed into slits. ” The other two humans I can worry about much less, but this one needs more precautions.”

She turned to face the group now and beckoned them forward. She remained vigilant as they moved into the brush of the jungle with all sorts of animal noises surroundings them.

Tigerlily couldn’t help the cheeky smile that flashed across her face. It was one of her first, genuine smiles in over a year. Her heart fluttered and she glanced away quickly. ”I’ll keep that in mind.” She then turned to face Éliane and raised an eyebrow. Knuckles was the name she had chosen to call it…?

Lily stared at her impassively and folded her arms. She watched the woman fawn over the parrot and glanced around the Port. She had been listening to seagulls crying hysterically for over an hour, but she remembered she had heard distant cries as well, that of another bird which she hadn’t at first noticed. As she tuned out the elven woman, she saw a flash of red nearby the trees over the tavern by Odds and Ends. Her suspicions were confirmed, yet she’d have to wait until it was quiet and she was alone.

Her gaze settled next on Lizzie as she realized she was talking to her. She listened attentively and allowed a sweet yet apologetic smile to dance across her face. ”Aye aye, Captain. My sincerest apologies.” She nodded and waited until she was standing alone to roll her eyes. Then, Tigerlily boarded the ship and listened as Captain Lizzie laid down the laws. While they were fair, she couldn’t help but stifle a smile. The woman didn’t know what she was and how marooning her wouldn’t be an issue. The ocean was her playground. She didn’t blame her though, as the la - no, captain seemed clueless regarding everything.

Tigerlily nodded in agreement with the others and then smiled cheerfully. ”Aye, Captain. I hear ye loud and clear. I have almost five years of experience; and I have faced some of the nasty creatures lurking in the water’s here.” She smiled pleasantly and let her arms fall to her side. And I have been a danger to them too… A dark smile crept its way up her expression then disappeared. She glanced at Nym and smirked. Forty years of experience, huh? She’d have to ask him about it later.

The smell of food wafted through her nose. Tigerlily’s stomach growled in agreement, but she knew she would have to wait. When everyone had gone downstairs to the feast, Tigerlily hung back. She turned to the parrot perched on her shoulder. ”You have a home, don't you?” She inquired softly and the parrot chirped as it glanced at a tree. It ruffled its feathers and she noticed the stress on the parrot’s face. ”I saw them. It’s your family, right? Go on.” She moved her arm out to the side for the parrot to climb down onto. The parrot obeyed, but she frowned as she noticed its wings were clipped and sighed.

”You poor thing. I know what it’s like to live in a cage and you don’t deserve it. Freedom is yours, love, and I know you can’t understand me, but at least you know the tone is nice.” She then held her hand out and the parrot hopped onto it and stared at her intently. She began to clip its wings gently, which the parrot began chirping excitedly for. She smiled at the parrot, genuinely, and nodded. ”Go on.” The parrot didn’t waste any time and quickly took flight off to the tree. Tigerlily turned to watch it and smiled as the parrot joined its’ family, the rest of them now revealing themselves. They circled each other happily, then took off across the island. She smiled and felt warmth fill her, which felt unfamiliar and made her cringe.

Now her attention turned to the feast and started to head down when Helio came back up. She blinked and moved out of the way quickly, then hesitated. She could see the feast from her spot, yet she decided to wait. Being hungry wasn’t something that was new to her nor did she care. It wasn’t as if everyone would finish the food either. The less crowded it was, the better anyways.

She hung out in the shadows and listened to the conversation. Sadness filled her and she eyed the deck as she shuffled her feet. Guilt rose inside of her and she clenched her fists. Avalia was cruel and unfair, and she felt herself wanting to drink rum to help forget her sorrows. A few tears filled her eyes which she quickly wiped away. Helio was lost, wandering around on his own, and trying to find a purpose. Echo had died the previous night, and she couldn’t imagine how he must be feeling inside. It was heartbreaking, and she swore to herself she’d do better this time. It was the least she could do.

As she listened, her eyes widened at the news of King Kasai. That rotten bastard was giving up Roshmi? Elyna was right that the army would be loyal to their king. The poor demihumans were going to be trapped in Roshmi…. She gritted her teeth. What a piece of shit! Rage swept through her, and she had to take deep breaths. With concentration, her breathing became normal. She hesitated a few more beats after the call had ended. She then swaggered up the steps and over to Helio’s side after composing herself. ”Are you alright, mate?” Her voice was calm and inquisitive, and her expression comforting. She waited and was unsure of how he would respond, then glanced at the feast. ”Do you need a moment, or would you like to come eat?”

While she waited, Tigerlily thought of her parents. Pain filled her as the memories began filling her head. She took several deep breaths. A mix of emotions filled her. It was unlikely they were worried, or cared. Their last meeting had been tense and unwelcoming. It was also clear that she knew her family wouldn’t bow down to the Dark Elves any time soon either… hopefully. She sighed as she glanced at the sea and knew there wasn't any way she could return. The ocean was her playground, but not her home anymore. She then glanced up at Helio, unafraid of the emotions that had flashed across her expression.

Time: 10am
Location: Gakhumi’s Tavern - Ironhold
Interactions: Rue @Potter Bowyn @Helo
Equipment:. basic travel pack, medical pack, foot soldier armor, foot soldier shield and weapons. 849 Amas

The young medic had no idea that the white haired lad was having some sort of identity crisis. If he had, then he would have bought more ale and joined him. Since the revelation that he was the bastard son of the King, he had felt lost. As a dwarf, he had felt anger at the sight of the prince being killed but it had been more out of respect for all life. The long miles between Thur’s estate and the dwarven capital had filled his head with the shifting paradox that the murder of technically his half brother was and should be much more personal.

Yet, he could not bring himself to be a captive of anger and have his decisions tainted by that feeling. This made the young soldier question himself. Was he not truly the by default heir? Perhaps that is why the King h had sent him on this solo secret mission. Perhaps that is why he ha to prove himself because at face value he was not worthy of becoming the next in line to the throne. What was worse is the question of if he even wanted to be.

Arn sighed as he took a drink. He could see that his companion was battling internally, the worse type of struggle. There was no way to back him up to stand next to him and face whatever it was together. There was not medical support for the pain and definitely no reinforcements would be coming. As a medic, being unable to help was the hardest part of his job. But also as a medic, he knew that just being there and walking a mile with the person helped immensely.

“What makes you think either of us knows how to meet royalty? Or that we even need Biren welcome or permission for anything? Last I checked none of us are light elves and I certainly bow to no royals.”

The newly discovered prince smiled behind his mug. Had his and the white haired lad’s introduction not been due to the fairy saying he knew how to meet royalty? The effects of alcohol and whatever other substance the lad had taken were certainly taking effect. The young soldier merely shrugged. He had known in his heart that Bowy’s claim had been nothing more than drunken exaggeration and the young lass also seemed to be more of a humble traveler than anything. However, he had felt so alone that he had desired company.

“Mister Bowyn, it was a long shot. You see I need to hold an audience with Princess Annya. The reason and cause I am afraid I can’t disclose to you yet as our acquaintance is just in its infancy. However, as you stated, neither I nor the Princess hold any sway over your decision. Also, as previously stated, if we three just happen to be travelling in the same direction, I would more than welcome the company.” He finished the last bit of mead in his mug and set the wooden tankard down. Thanks to his dwarven resilience, those two drinks were nothing more than refreshment. True dwarves required almost a whole keg to themselves which is why most taverns and bars were 90% warehouse and only 10% customer establishment.

“I thought you were with the army here?”

Bowyn was experiencing the effect of alcohol but he was still observant. Who knew how much more his mental acuity could be when he was not delayed due to drink. Arn let out a long sigh. “Ah, yest that. You are correct. I am or was with the army here. My enlistment actually just finished about a week or so ago. Given the circumstances we all experienced in the past few days, I was going to reenlist. The legions will no doubt mobilize in what seems like an inevitable war. However, due to other circumstances, I must now meet up and offer my services to Princess Annya. I know my answer is much too cryptic and I do apologize I am not able to elaborate at this time.” He looked at his time piece and began to gather his things. The medic began wondering if walking around in legion issued gear was the best thing. In this type of mission, he would have to be more discreet.

“Better not keep Moony waiting, we can all walk and talk at the same time.”

The soldier shouldered his gear and giving a final nod to the bar tender. He followed the pair out. He had not tried to help the lad walk as Dwarves often were drunk and it was an unwritten rule that to help a stumbling dwarf was an insult. So the young medic applied that social convenant to the fairies.

Arn himself was having the same doubts Rue was regarding being able to achieve an auduece let alone have their offer of help accepted. As a common foot soldier, he had not even met a Sun Elf. His days had been spent in the field near the Orc frontier tending to those who had been injured in the ever present struggle for land and dominance between his own people and the green skinned brutes.

Sunlight greeted the soldier as he stepped over the threshold of the tavern and rejoined the world outside. He felt a pang of concern and if he was honest, fear. Being on the outise of the tavern made his current situation more real. He was heading towards a situation he had not trained for trying to take over a life he had not lived. As a soldier, you got your marching orders and you marched. But now, there was no clear end state, no clear direction only an ideal. The young dwarf too a deep breath.

Arn had no idea who Moony was but he was not expecting a wolf. He raised an eyebrow in surprise. There seemed to be intelligence behind those eyes. Perhaps more than some dwarves he had met in the legions. “um, that is Moony I assume?” The medic asked nodding in the general direction of the wolf. “I suggest we head on over to the Helius plataform before anybody takes any interest in a wolf roaming freely inside the Iron Curtain.”

He started walking towards the flying craft’s station then stopped. “um, that is if you plan on still travelling in that direction.” He was not sure what else to say so he walked normally. He hoped that the trio of interesting people would decide to follow him. Their company would serve as a distraction from the dark thoughts that waited on the outskirts of his conscious ready to pounce if he gave them enough attention.

Time: 10am
Location: Lower-class district of Roshmi, in the plaza right near the Nest

Equipment: Dress and thigh-high socks(Slits on the inner sides of the sleeves), Black boots, Pouch with amas, Lipstick

The lioness stood on the rooftop of the Nest, peering down at her prey. The sun shone down and illuminated the purple lining of her dress as she moved forward to the corner of the roof. She bent her head down to look directly down as a mix of races emerged from the tavern. She had come to the lower-class region of Roshmi on a mission as the unfortunate were much better suited for her plan. However, she hadn't expected to see the Princess of all people, associating herself with the commonfolk during a time like this. The Yoshikawa family was just full of surprises.

With a sharp tooth grin, her eyes locked on Princess Mikazuki. Oh but you really aren't a surprise at all. Running away from your problems just like your father, aren't you, princess? Her slit pupils slid over the group of men she was traveling with and Yuka audibly giggled. The masked hooligans were a fun touch too. Too bad you're not wearing one of my designs. Maybe you'd have an easier time with those cute boys you got there.

She straightened and glanced towards the plaza, which was simply where the road opened up into a circle with a well in the middle. There were all sorts of demihumans of all ages moving all around from one destination to the other. Perfectly populated and not a guard in sight. King Kasai had most definitely repositioned them or called them in to hear the news.

It was time to stir the pot.

Yuka glanced around until she spotted a male sitting on the roof of a shop. There was a wagon of hay positioned underneath it. Gracefully, she ran from one roof over to the next until she stood behind him. Luckily, he hadn't seemed to notice. Then she kicked him ever so slightly in the back, causing him to fall forward. The male demihuman screamed in shock and terror before he faceplanted into the hay.

Many were startled as they looked in the direction of the scream, expecting something horrible to be happening. All they found was a pretty demihuman blonde looking down at them. She smiled at her audience as the man that had fallen into the hay groaned. "... Our lovely King Kasai made a very important decision this morning. I'm sure you all know as he is so meticulous at making sure all of Roshmi is kept in the loop." When she was met with confused stares, she didn't hesitate to continue, her voice sly and filled with honey, "Ooh so you mean you don't know!" The crowd started to congregate closer to listen to what she had to say.

"Well... I'm sure there just must be a good explanation for that." She locked eyes with Princess Mikazuki once again. "The King sent in a message to Malthemoor. Looks like we're siding up with the dark elves for this upcoming war. Certainly, your sons are all prepared right?"

Immediately the crowd started to murmur and grow slowly in volume. Yuka didn't have to wait long for what she wanted to hear. "But his son! The prince! He was murdered last night."

Yuka frowned and clasped her hands together, "That's riiight... Well, I'm sure he just doesn't want to lose anyone else to the dark elves. That must be it, right? I'm sure this is about protecting his family and people-"

"NO! This is about saving his own skin!"The same female who had shouted before piped up again. A chorus of others agreeing passionately joined.

Yuka's lip corners slightly upturned and her eyes flashed, "He does have a track record of that doesn't he?" She slid down to sit on the roof and lean her head in her hands, "Do you think he's doing the wrong thing?"

The voices were becoming an uproar of outrage quite quickly. Words like 'overthrow' or ideas of 'fighting back' were quickly being thrown around. Yuka felt a rush of euphoria at the chaos before her and it took willpower not to laugh in delight. She shook her head, her smooth voice cutting like butter through the uproar, "I wouldn't do that if I were you."

Once she felt she had gotten some attention back, she added, her voice blunt and a smile still across her face,"You'll surely all die."

Yuka jumped to her feet, "Oh! But then what must we do?"She exclaimed with a theatric pout. She paused for dramatic effect before telling them."We must wait. Spread the word as far as you can, and use those beautiful brains of yours to work together when the time is right. You'll be useless with a group small as this against an army. Keep the wheels turning in there for now and simply spread the word of the King's callousness. A new dawn awaits Roshmi. The Yoshikawa rule must end."

Her words seemed to sink into the crowd, but their anger was not quite quenched. Some continued to talk and plan amongst themselves while others stalked off to spread the news to others.

Nothing like the passion of those with nothing to lose.

So they were heading to someplace called Riverport and their kingdom was likely about to be attacked? Raven supposed that made sense since they had summoned the humans and it seemed like their enemies knew that. She was just glad that it seemed like they were prepared for this to happen. Her attention was then briefly grabbed by Kharne as he placed a hand on her shoulder comfortingly. She glanced up at him, gently placing her small hand on top of his and giving a thankful and reassuring smile. She was thankful to his kind gesture. She found herself glancing back to where the carbuncle once was.

What happened next she wasn’t expecting at all as the boisterous princess came over to her and was now looking at her. ”Oh...well Chicago is the city I live in and cosplay is…” She had to think for a moment as how to explain what cosplay was. ”Well it’s where you dress up as fantasy characters and take on that persona for the day to bring yourself joy and bring others joy.” She hoped that would make sense to the woman.

”As for the carbuncle, I suppose we have them in a sense. In a video game called Final Fantasy they have exactly those creatures. It’s curious to me that you call them carbuncles as well.” Raven explained, putting a pin in the fact that Annya had one as a pet. It made Raven curious if she could acquire one as a pet at some point too. What a story that would be to tell her friends when she got back to Earth...if she got back. That thought made her feel mildly sick, but she pushed it aside.

Saoirse began speaking and Raven watched her for a moment, noting how she avoided people's gaze. When she glanced at Raven in warning, however, Raven couldn’t help but roll her eyes. What was she seriously worried about? They were in a world that knew nothing about her, what were they going to do? Even if the only other human in the group recognized her name, Raven was willing to bet Annya and Kharne wouldn’t let him do anything to her as humans are a precious resource at this point.

Her attention was grabbed by Ismael as he asked how professional cosplaying worked. ”Yeah kinda.” She started in response, getting a little excited to talk about her job. ”So certain companies will hire me to portray a certain character at a booth of theirs or at some event they’re throwing. Then I’m also an influencer on sites like Instagram and TikTok and people will request me to be at cons for meet and greets.” She explained happily.

Ismael then asked if there were creatures in this jungle they should be worried about and it sent a chill through Raven. She hadn’t even thought about the potential of something dangerous being in the jungle, but if D&D taught her anything it was that this was very likely. She got a little nervous as she glanced around, realizing that Kharne also seemed to be at the ready which indicated there was likely something dangerous out there. ”Um I’m just going to point out that I have very little combat experience. Most I’ve done is slap Shae once when we were younger because I was mad at her.” She told the group, the nervousness obvious in her voice.

Trolls

Time: 10 AM

The sounds of cracking branches echoed through the jungle, becoming louder and louder. At first, it would be hard for the group to pinpoint where the sound was coming from as the echoes made it sound like it was surrounding them. As the sounds drew closer, two sets of large footsteps could be heard coming from different angles. Two trolls came bursting through the trees, one from the left of the group and one from behind, skin a mossy green color. They stood well over eleven feet tall and were rather lanky-looking, clawed arms almost dragging on the ground. Their hair was a greenish-black color and matted severely. Around their waist hung little more than a loincloth. They were quite the chilling sight.

The trolls let out a loud battle cry as one on the left charged toward Kharne with a makeshift club, swinging the large piece of wood at the Dragonborn. The second ran at Raven from behind, sweeping her off her feet with his club. He then picked the girl up by her leg, lifting her head to his eye level to get a better look. "No meat but... food." The troll said to the face of the girl looking back at him as he opened his mouth to take a bite.

Nuallán silently watched from as Caelan, after taking the dress Rosaria bought to him, went to deliver it to Sophie, who had a very positive reaction to it, mesmerized by the dress as she twirled it with her hands. Despite the first impressions back when the humans were summoned, they seemed to mostly be reacting positively to each other's presence and even with the company of other elves, as it became evident when Aurora arrived and the warm reception she was given. Even Jomari, who left a terrible first impression, seemed to be acting in a more agreeable manner, talking with Sophie about clothes and even introducing himself, just like the others did.

Nuallán couldn't help but to find Rosaria's reaction to his teasing words absolutely adorable. While he was caught a bit off-guard by her wraping her arms around his shoulder and the words she said back to him, he quickly regained his composure, finding it amusing that Rosaria was almost successful in teasing him in almost the same way he did to her. Fortunately, the years and years of being a butler taught him how to keep his composure very well. She would have to try harder if she wanted to catch him completely off guard.

"You flatter me, my lady." he said with an amused laugh and a kind smile as he looked at her.

Even though he knew how strong Rosaria was, it was truly refreshing to see her reacting not like a princess or someone who had to shoulder the expectations of an entire kingdom, but as a normal woman. These small moments where Nuallán could see Rosaria being honest with her feelings and just being herself were one of the reasons why he teased her, to remind her that she wasn't just the princess of the Sun Elf Kingdom, but that she was also herself, just Rosaria.

Nuallán was silently watching the surroundings when Jomari picked up a vial of poison, before asking some questions about how it worked that immediately made Nualláns calm expression turn into a cold, sharp one.

Nuallán did not need to know what the stare he gave to Rosaria was. He cared not if it was some type of joke, a veiled threat or something different. It wouldn't change the fact that even before that, he already didn't trust Jomari. The stare he gave was just one more thing to make Nuallán keep an eye on him. Even when Rosaria said he should give him another chance, he simply couldn't trust someone like him.

After a quick refusal and asking the shopkeeper to hide the vial of poison, Rosaria led the group through the city until they reached the jungle. The entire time, Nuallán kept a sharp eye on Jomari and their surroundings in case someone was following or watching them. Even if he had to ask for Rosaria's forgiveness later, he would rather not trust Jomari than ignoring his instincts and letting something happen to her.

Feeling Rosaria's gentle touch as she tapped his wrist, he discreetly nodded, signaling that he was hearing her, without reacting in a way that would let others know that they were talking to each other. Nodding once more, he agreed with her words. The possibility that Jomari would become a threat for Rosaria or the group was considerable, judging by the way he acted.

As the group continued, now entering the dense jungle, Nuallán continued in an alert state. Keeping his eyes and ears sharp to anything that might happen while keeping track of Jomari's movements and actions, making sure he always knew where he was.

Myra carefully heard as Vrexen spoke with the two dark elves. While she didn't entirely trust or even knew Vrexen, she still trusted him way more than most dark elves and definitely more than the two he was talking to right now. As they continued to talk though, Myra had an opportunity to learn more about Vrexen and the so called 'mother' he always kept talking about or 'Lilith', as he called her when explaining who he was.

Fortunately, the moment Vrexen finished explaining, the shadows began dissipating as the two dark elves became visible once again. Relieved that the shadows were gone, Myra continued to pay attention on the words that were being said by Vrexen. Myra was surprised once she heard that the 'mother' Lilith only wanted to find a place for their children to live. While she didn't really know who Lilith was or still thought that Vrexen was a bit scary, something that just wanted to find a place to take care of it's children couldn't be that bad, could it? Every creature, even in the forest, had instincts to protect their own children. Why she would chose someone as scary and intimidating as Vrexen to take her message was a mystery for Myra though.

As the two dark elves finally disappeared, Myra became way more relaxed, approaching Vrexen and giving a small tug on his tail just to let him know that she was still around as she waited and watched, still in her camouflage, to see what would happen next.

She was always one of the last ones to pack up, letting a light sigh of relief escape her lips into the nip of the air. They had just finished a practice session of swordplay at SCA, and she got higher praise than usual today, having actually won all the bouts. The rush of adrenaline still waning in her veins, she looked out by the nearby forest. An oak forest by a field in the middle of fall was a special time for her - to see the orange leaves and the chill of winter coming. Tying together the last bits of leather to her blade and closing the truck, she locked the door with two beeps and started to make her stroll towards the oranges and reds, sending a wave to some others driving out of the parking lot.

The sound of grass was soothing, but when she drew closer and heard the fall leaves under her boots, she smiled and let the fantasy of the sight take her away. She recognized a while ago in her therapy why she had a draw to fantasy - an escape from all the horror she had been through and especially putting her shoes in that of a heroine. To have power instead of being powerless, but she was learning she had power in the real world. She was great at swordplay, and she could say no to bullies now, stand her ground. These days were definitely more peaceful, and it was a beautiful Friday afternoon.

The smell of the cold forest still seemed to have life to it, like a fresh rainstorm had passed by and kissed the trees. She always got lost in thought though, started imaging swinging her sword, guarding a princess, or fighting a sorcerer - silly things. Though, a gasp escaped her as she saw the image of a lake she had not found before! Lakes in forests always excited her. Something about fey and fantasy that revolved around both locations just made her smile as she took a small jog over to look at the water. Images swirled in her mind of elven maidens and airships, and part of her regretted leaving her sword back at the car!

A small giggle to herself, she looked up to see where the sun was, but caught a glimpse of a woman across the lake. There was a momentary freeze before she tilted her head a little in curiosity. She couldn't make out a lot from here, but there was something.. different about her. The skin seemed smooth, and she looked like a real beauty. Probably the most unusual thing was that she was dressed in a medieval gown, but Morgan didn't recognize her from SCA at all. Her eyes followed the figure leading up to the edge of the lake and looking down, holding something in a cloth.

Morgan could hardly believe her eyes when the woman just.. fell.. into the lake! Her eyes widened a little as scenarios went through her head, wondering if the woman was just taking a swim? But she just fell, holding something... was she going to drown herself!? Better safe than sorry as Morgan sprinted near the spot the woman had fallen under. She was still in the water, so Morgan threw her keys aside and dived in after - she'd be damned if someone died on her watch!

Swimming as fast as she could, she couldn't help but to slow her descent. The woman floating in the lake had turned to her with a look of worry and genuine concern, holding the clothed object towards her. Morgan couldn't understand what was going on, reaching out to grab at the object... the woman, she had elven ears. It wasn't just that, though - anyone could get those done if they found the right person and were determined enough. No, it was the shine in those eyes, the shimmer in her skin, the almost unearthly beauty of her shape. Were Morgan able to studder underwater, she would have, but before she could make heads or tails of anything, a flash blinded her for only but a second. The woman was gone! In a moment of confusion and panic, Morgan jetted back upwards to the surface.

As she broke it and splashed water onto the shore, she placed the clothed object on the sand and pulled herself from the water for a couple feet. What she found was even more mesmerizing as the light that spilled onto the scene before her was shaded in a pink, like some supernatural and beautiful sunrise. Its rays pierced the now unfamiliar trees and strange plants that seemed dotted across the ground, and it was humid and hot. So stunned by the shock of her scenery, she fell down, trying to process the jungle trees towering over her.

"Wh-what the fuck?..." Long moments were spent observing her surroundings, dumb-struck by where she was. Eventually, after some several minutes had passed, she looked down to the object and peeled away the cloth that clung to it, revealing a sword. It was absolutely unlike any sword she had ever laid her eyes on though, and it almost seemed to glow a subtle light of its own that reminded her of the sun, but not this pink light that was everywhere else. The hilt was in the shape of wings, going down to a red jewel in a golden-like metal, but it was definitely not gold. Awed by its very presence, she slowly pulled it from the sheath only for it to glow more brightly, forcing her lips to part in a gasp. "Th-there's- ... there's.. this can't be.... I-.. no..." She went silent then, trying to wrap her mind around all of this. Being a fan of fantasy books, the origin story of the hero being pulled into a fantasy world from the modern one wasn't exactly unknown, but there was no way that this was real.

Time:10 am
Location: Outside Gakhumi’s Tavern - Ironhold
Interactions: Arn @Omni5876, Rue@Potter
Equipment: 1 hunting knife, a flask of alcohol, a backpack, small tent, blanket, waterskin, rope, fire starting kit, lightmaker, cooking pot, a bar of soap, some drugs; skaula (8 grams) and zemak (1 ounce), rolling papers, and 83 amas.

Bowyn nodded as Arn answered his questions with a lot of words that really didn’t help him understand what the dwarf was up to. Arn needed to meet with a princess, the rest of the dwarven army was not coming, and he wasn’t going to say why this meeting was important. Or maybe it wasn’t an important reason, maybe the dwarf fancied the elven princess. Bowyn chuckled to himself at that thought; if that was the case he doubted Arn had ever met an elf. Light elves were insufferable enough he could only imagine what their royals were like.

“You say a lot of words, Arn, some of them even make sense. Whatever you're up to, if it involves killin’ dark elves, I’m in.” Bowyn wasn’t interested in pulling secrets out of the dwarf, they seemed to be on the same side of a war and that was enough for now. Arn from the army who paid for drinks and never looked at Bowyn like was a broken thing. Bowyn decided that Arn was alright for talking to even if he was full of secrets.

Outside the tavern, everything was lit up by the harsh light of the sun. He could see the Helius’s from where they were, they looked like big overcrowded cages. Like death traps that could fall right out of the sky at any moment and he had no wings and only a backpack which wasn’t much use when falling. Bowyn said nothing about the unnatural flying death traps, he was not a coward and it wasn’t like he had any other real option. If he was alone he could go back to the forests, where there was space as far as you could see and freedom in all that space. But he was not alone and Arn seemed like he needed to get where he was going in a hurry. And forests were dangerous, and there was Rue. Rue would be alright if the Helius crashed, and that seemed like a good enough reason.

So Bowyn kept walking outside and paused to scratch Moony by the ears to say hello to the wolf. "Hey Moony, learn how to speak yet?" He teased the wolf, although if the animal did have a reply Bowyn couldn’t hear it. Hunting for food was a big part of surviving in the north and talking to animals seemed like an unnecessary complication. He gave the wolf a small smile before continuing to follow Arn. He turned to Rue, planning to ask if she had ever been in Helius before. Except that wasn’t what he asked, instead he blurted out the question he actually wanted to know. "Why did you leave the village?”

Rue

Time: Morning
Location: Ironhold Tavern
Interaction: @Helo Bowyn & @Omni5876 Arn
Equipment: Small backpack, two knives, rations, water flask, hygiene products

Rue remained quiet while the other two spoke amongst each other. She watched the dwarves with fascination. How cool would it be to tell her parents about Ironhold? The thought made her giddy with excitement then nauseated with homesickness. She sighed and pushed it out of her mind. With Moony at her side, she felt more relaxed. On top of having Bowyn’s company, she wanted to enjoy the adventure for what it was.

A sudden voice broke her out of her reverie, but she found herself more confused. Who was speaking and what had they said? ”Huh?” she initially replied, and then Bowyn’s words registered in her mind. Her eyes widened and she bit her lip. Rue glanced around as if anyone could read her mind and turned back to Bowyn. ”Oh umm, now isn’t the right time for that. I’ll tell you when it’s less crowded.” She smiled at him apologetically. ”I promise it’s for a good reason.” Rue looked away and then eyed Arn curiously, then back to Bowyn.

At least I think so…. Rue turned away and began to admire the buildings around her. Their structure was so different and of course, Rue felt tall amongst them. She glanced up at the sun and flinched. It was unflatteringly warmer here and much too bright. Rue pulled her hood closer to her face. She missed the cold village and scowled.

Vrexen and The Seven Sins
72

"A pleasure… Yes." Vrexen replied softly as the transmission ended. Vrexen stared at the device the holograms had appeared from for a moment. To communicate in such a way was different for the demon not native to this world.

"As our king and queen requested! Summon the Dread Order! The advisor ordered the soldiers stationed within the room. The heavy clanking of boots followed.

It was a sight to see how quickly the soldiers snapped into action, but Vrexen was much more concerned with Myra's gentle touch on his tail. Still unseen. No matter. Vrexen thought as he eyed his tail that started to slowly snake back and forth behind him. He bared his teeth in anticipation. He had done what Lilith had tasked him to do and these creatures would aid in the arrival of more of his brethren to this world.

"Brethren… yes, they will be here quite soon. I wonder who or how many. They will come to this world to aid in conquest." Vrexen said aloud, but more so to inform Myra, who he considered his young sister.

In short time, the Dread Order arrived. Seven cloaked figures in black and red robes appeared, escorting them to a large open room. One of the figures spoke up to the group. “We shall begin now.” The seven figures began raising their hands in the air chanting in an incomprehensible language. The opening of a rift using the powers of dark magic had already been considered dangerous and required dark elves of high magical prowess. The Dread Order were deemed the most powerful practitioners of dark magic on Daka, only falling second to their queen, Amarantha. They were possibly the only ones that could be trusted to successfully open abyssal rifts without being completely overpowered by whatever monstrosity climbed out.

A few moments is all it took before seven dark abyssal rifts formed.

"Yes… Brethren. They're coming!" Vrexen's teeth clenched in his excitement.

The first to arrive was a demon that was slick black in color with wings sprouting from his back and two tails, dawning four horns on his head. This was Pride.

The second to arrive was the demon, Lust, a humanoid-looking demon with perfect porcelain skin and long flowing red hair. She was completely naked and had almost an ethereal look to her.

The third demon to appear from the rifts was known as Envy. They appeared as a pale skinny demon with six arms and many eyes sprouting from their body with a pair of wings.

The fourth demon was Gluttony who emerged from the abyss. This demon was much larger than the previous arrivals, having three large mouths filled with rows of teeth, horns sprouting from his head, and long claws for hands. His skin had a sickening grey color to it and it would take one a moment to locate his eyes.

The fifth Demon stepped forth. Greed. He was covered in gold and other precious gems and metals. He was the smallest of the demons with a crown of horns with long orange hair and torn wings.

The sixth demon, Sloth, was the largest; he was slow to arrive but had to tear the rift open some to fit his body. The sight of this demon was extremely chilling with skin a putrid green color, six spiked crab-like legs, and spikes protruding from everywhere. What may have been the most terrifying part, however, was the large open maw in the center of his stomach. There were teeth everywhere in this thing, but to make things worse were the three tentacle-like protrusions from the center. At the end of these tentacles were womanly figures with fangs and claws.

The final demon to come from the rifts was Wrath. She appeared as a wispy shadowy figure; she had no face but seven eyes looked upon the room. Wrath had two normal-sized arms but one very large clawed arm coming from her right shoulder and another smaller arm on her left shoulder.

Once all of them came through the chanting stopped and the rifts closed.

"Welcome to-"

"Sister…?" The demon interjected before there was a brief silence within the room.
"No! Nooooooo! RAaaaAAAAAAaaaaaah! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! WHY HAVE YOU CURSED ME, MOTHER?! WHA-"

"Vrrrrexenn!" Wrath spoke sharply. Just speaking his name caused the red-faced demon to quit his mad shouting and twitch with anxiety as he looked at the seven powerful demons before him. "Much better. I thought I would have to decorate this room with your innards… I could do it anyway… My that would be a show to put on with the arrival of the Seven Sins of Lilith." A low snicker escaped the monstrosity before a few of the other sins joined with their own snickering.

“Ehem! Welcome greater demons, I will tell you why you are here before us. We want you to seek and hunt our enemies who seek to stop us, in turn, we will help your kind build a new home in Avalia as well as find a more suitable place ourselves.” The advisor said to the seven new demons in the room. Every one of them had their attention towards the advisor, taking in the image of the first dark elf they'd seen in the flesh. Pride stepped forth, towering over the dark elf.

“I, Pride, the greatest of the sins shall purge your enemies, none shall escape. Nobody is greater than I! To prove it so, and it shall be proven, we will spread ourselves across this new realm! As mother wills us.”

"yes this is... Good! That means no sharing with any of you derelicts! Sounds profitable to me." The crown-horned fiend snickered just thinking about the prospects of pillaging this new world.

"Agreed! I can devour all I want and more, alone!" Gluttony piped up with excitement. The other four remained quiet as they schemed in silence.

”These are the current targets.” The advisor said as he showed images of the light elven princesses. “We will update you with more information and other targets as we collect information.” He then put the pictures in his coat. “Take these as well, this is how we will contact each other from now on. I wish you luck.“ The advisor finished giving them all a transmission bracelet.

The sins were escorted out of Malthemoor shortly after, receiving any additional information they might need before they began their hunt.

Within the chamber, Vrexen's twitching ceased. His body was still for just a moment before he trembled with rage.

"MOTHER! MOTHERRRRRR!" He screamed, causing the dark elves in the room to ready their weapons. They found the demon to be out of his wits as he panted aggressively. "I will be better. Vrexen does not need sin to commit violence! Vrexen… Vrexen is violence!"

“There will be much more violence on your path ahead, just avoid doing anything here.” The advisor spoke calmly, giving a smirk to Vrexen.

Caelan Knight

Time: 10 am
Location: Eastern jungle of Sun Elf Kingdom
Interactions: @princess] Sophie @baraquiel Jomari @13org Nuallán @Potter Rosaria @chrysocoma Aurora
Equipment: A D&D miniature, a blunt and the clothes he was given

Caelan smiled at Sophie as she twirled the dress. She had not been super expressive with her words, but he can tell by her genuine expression and the way her eyes lit up that she had been very pleased with the dress. He was happy to have a hand in doing so. It wasn’t long after that Rosaria started to lead them out of the city, which took a few minutes. He had tapped Sophie’s shoulder to get her attention and then walked along.

After they went through the gates of the Kingdom, they moved outside into a wooded area, quickly moving away from the dirt road. The jungle was hot and humid. Caelan was not used to this and it bothered him quite a lot. He didn’t speak much as he was too fascinated with the many different trees and plants. “So… like what kind of animals are here? I can hear a lot but I don’t really see any.” Caelan asked curiously to Rosaria and Nuallán.

Kuroi let out an annoyed sigh as he got yanked out of the tavern. He quickly glanced over at the human who had spoken before to the hotheaded dwarf and an elf who seemed to already have met the princess sometime in the past. "Well then, princess...this has certainly evolved...are we still on our way to the Sun Elf Kingdom?" he asked, her before glancing over at the human and the pointy-eared elf. Kuroi turned around to meet eyes with him before speaking, "...I imagine an elf who knows the princess is an elf who has come to also escort her, no? Two well-developed fighters should keep us out of mischief..."

Last but not least, Kuroi looked over at the human, giving him a small nod. "We'll have to keep you safe as well. Regardless of any fighting prowess, your strength lies in numbers...and with us. You can be assured we won't run off with you to a guillotine..." he whispered before pressing his index finger on his lips. As soon as he was about to talk to the princess, he overheard a feminine voice attempting a speech from atop the rooftops. With a raise of his brow, Kuroi inspected the (admittedly rather gorgeous) lion demihuman slander the current royal family. Were it not for her locking eyes with the princess, the vulpine would have not gotten involved.

Stepping in front of the princess, broke the lioness' line of sight, exchanging the princess' set of eyes for his own. A nasty, intimidating glare was returned to the slanderer as Kuroi held his hand up and approached the crowd and the woman on the rooftop. "Yet we, as commoners...yes, surprisingly enough, one such as myself is still considered a commoner..." Kuroi began, looking at the various townspeople who had gathered beneath the speaker. "...have little to no idea what is truly going on in the current political environment. Surely, we have a basic idea of whatever impending trouble is to come but we know naughty of the intricacies that lie in our government's brain. Frankly, we never will regardless of who is in charge..."

The vulpine had everyone's attention now. Although he understood the sentiments among the feisty lioness and the reluctant townspeople, he abhorred slander. He felt many eyes upon him, with gazes differing from those of curiosity to those of envy or intolerance. "The most important thing to note is that, regardless of one's status, it will always pain a father and mother to know that their very own offspring have died. To rely on such classism to neglect one's empathy is just as draconic as a tyrant's outlook on all of us! Besides, who are we to listen to only one person and limit ourselves to one narrative? Why should we all listen to someone who is far more prettied up than yours truly. I may be a champion of Roshmi, but I am certainly no lamb blindly following a wolf disguised as a shepherd...I am my own man..."

A tired exhale came from Kuroi before he looked up once more at the lioness, a cold look on his face as he opened up his kimono just enough for the glint of his metal fans to be seen by the lioness above. "Cast away envy and remember empathy...envy has gotten me nowhere in life...only my own body and mind have..." Kuroi finished.

Hopefully that was enough to scare off the pretty face that towered over him and the townspeople.

Many of the demihumans around Kuroi and his party went silent. A few of them nodded in agreement and a couple of others expressed their agreement strongly in Kuroi's words. Still though, he was unsure how much his words had gotten to people's heads. He could only hope they would cast away any emotion and prejudice and instead choose to look at the situation with simultaneous logic and empathy.

“I’d like you in the front, mister Kharne. Keep vigilant, please.” Annya had told the dragonborn in response to his question, straightening from her bent-over position. Her gaze flickered to the red-haired girl, who introduced herself as Shae. Annya gave her an encouraging smile as she introduced herself. The girl did not seem too sure of herself, her gaze lowered to the floor as she spoke. However, she had a fantastic list of skills that kept Annya’s opinion of the girl in high favor. With so little life experience, she certainly hadn’t wasted a lick of it, well trained in combat and in weapons. She was sure she could not fall in step with her or Kharne, but she had a good foundation that would speed up the process of learning.

”Pleasant to meet you, Shae. Your abilities have been within your grasp the second you reached Avalia. I’d like to teach you how to use them as soon as possible, but perhaps not in the thick jungle. Don’t want you lighting the trees on fire or hitting the others with lightning bolts.” Annya explained to her with a laugh. She noticed Shae had glanced at Raven often. After digging in her brain for a moment, she recalled that they had come through together. The two were already acquainted. She wondered if that would hinder things or make them easier. Annya scoped their surroundings, then continued walking. She replied to Raven, ”Ah. The city of Chicago. I’d like to go someday. Sounds fun there.” Raven’s words got more confusing as she spoke. She had no idea what a video game was either, but Annya decided to let it go as the jungle had gotten quieter than she liked. It was time for her to be more vigilant and ignore Raven’s bizarre statements.

Annya’s eyes widened as Ismael questioned if there were any predators they’d have to worry about. She had been hoping perhaps they wouldn’t think of that, in the lovely situation they did not encounter anything and she could keep the humans calm. There was no honor in lying, so she decided to just tell them. ”Well Ismael. There are various creatures that can be potentially dangerous. If we run into one, I’ll let you know if we can handle it or if I think we should run for it. Trust Kharne and I’s judgment and remember to stay behind us so we can protect you.” She said then addressed Raven, “I don’t want you to have to fight yet, Raven. Focus on staying safe.”

As if the Gods were taunting them, the branches began to crack. Annya paused and straightened out an arm to signal the others to pause with her. Slowly, she pulled her axes out from her back and gripped them firmly, her eyes darting as they scanned their surroundings. The axes were already starting to glow with light as she imbued them. It was difficult to perceive where the sounds were coming from, meaning whatever was coming had friends. She shut her eyes for a split second to hone in on the sound then whirled to face behind them, trusting Kharne to manage the front.

She let out a sigh of relief as her eyes took in the mossy-green troll that had approached. Though, she knew that the humans probably had a completely different reaction. She had no idea if there were foes such as these on Earth. Compared to what they could have run into, this was a walk in the park. Annya had killed many trolls in the past. She knew to be wary of their claws, their regeneration, and their strength. Annya’s eyes narrowed as the troll ran for Raven and picked her up, preparing to eat her.

Raven stared into the face of the upside-down troll, trying to process what the hell was going on. Slowly the panic began to rise in her as she let out a blood-curdling scream. Suddenly a shockwave of wind burst from her, surprising the troll and throwing him slightly off balance.

Annya stumbled back but quickly regained her footing. She wasted no time and quickly hurled one of her axes forward towards the troll’s leg. She thrust herself forward and glared back at Shae and Ismael for a moment to warn them, ” Stay back! Hide!”

The troll cried out as the axe tore deep into his calf. Blood pouring down his leg, he roared and tossed Raven toward Annya’s. His eyes alit with fury, he dashed towards Annya.

Annya had moved to catch Raven despite knowing her weight would throw her back. She slammed back into the ground and bit back a groan. Pushing her to the side, she scrambled back up to her feet, ” Join the others.”She ordered then called out, ”Return!”

Her ax tore itself from the troll’s leg, leaving a seared wound, making him stumble in surprise. It flew through the air back into her grasp and she readied herself for his next move.

Time: 10am
Location: Malthemoor - Inside the main castle
Interactions: Vrexen @FunnyGuy, The Seven Sins @Alivefalling

The sound of the heavy boots clanking as the soldiers suddenly started moving startled Myra a bit, making her look around warily. After a single order of the queen, the soldiers began moving in unison. It was but a moment until a group of very creepy hooded figures. With their robes almost touching the ground and their faces eerily hidden by the long hoods, Myra, who had just relaxed after the two dark elves that were speaking with Vrexen disappeared went right back to becoming very nervous.

As soon as the hooded figured began chanting, Myra felt all the hairs in her body stand on their end. The strange chant, while unsettling wasn't the real issue. What truly made Myra almost panic was the amount of dark magic they were using. An overwhelming feeling of dread took Myra over as she saw as she retreated to the far corner of the room as abyssal rifts began appearing in the room, one after another.

While the first, second and fifth creatures that gotten out of the rifts weren't that different from Vrexen himself, definitely menacing but nothing that bad and thus not exactly contributing that much to worsen Myra's panicked state, the other ones were completely different. Their monstrous forms and in some cases their sheer size made Myra unconsciously back away from them. She could feel that some of them could easily crush her with a single movement and their very appearances screamed that she should be careful around them.

If the dark magic used by the hooded figures or being in a closed room with strange, menacing creatures that could definitely crush her without much effort weren't enough to make Myra panic, Vrexen suddenly began shouting, which made Myra jump back, alarmed. Forgetting about her camouflage for a brief moment, her quick movement made her slightly translucent. Not enough to be easily noticeable, but definitely enough for a small light distortion to be noticed where she was standing.

A single warning was all it took from one of the creatures for Vrexen to stop screaming. The fact that Vrexen himself was submissive to those creatures was another warning to Myra that she should be very careful around them. Especially since the one that warned Vrexen for him to stop screaming didn't seem to be particularly against the idea of killing him if he continued. The creatures continued talking as their voices echoing through the room in an unsettling manner. Despite how much Myra wanted to leave, due to how she was positioned, not only the creatures were between her and the door, but opening the door would be a dead giveaway of her presence, particularly for the hooded figures that could use dark magic. Due to that, Myra did the only thing she could and backed into the farthest corner of the room and waited, without moving a single muscle.

Slowly but surely, the creatures were escorted by the soldiers out of the room. Which was good not only because it was one less thing for her to worry about, but also because they had left the door slightly open. Just enough for her to slip through it without being noticed.

Without taking her eyes of the hooded figures, she began making her way towards the door. In the middle of the way though, Vrexen once again started to scream, which made all the soldiers raise their weapons. Startled by his scream and afraid that somehow the soldiers had realized her presence and were raising her weapons at her, Myra immediately dashed towards the door, her camouflage failing to keep up with her speed as she did so, showing the outline of her body as a slight pale, translucent blur.

Time:10 am
Location: Heading towards the Helius-Ironhold
Interactions:, Rue @Potter Bowyn @Helo
Equipment: basic travel pack, medical pack, foot soldier armor, foot soldier shield and weapons. 849 Amas

The young medic felt like a third wheel. He was walking in front of the two fairies not so much as a lead of the unusual travelling group. As a matter of fact, he did not even know if the other two had taken him at his word and were merely travelling in the same direction as he. Now that the two white haired youths had found each other, did they even need him?

The soldier groaned inwardly. His ability to analyze had the current big drawback of him over thinking things. In his mind, he was already feeling the distance caused by being the odd man out. In his mind, the pair would not even board the same Helius as he or if they did, sit to enjoy each other’s company in a different section of what would probably be a packed ride.

Little did he know that he had actually had a positive impression on Bowyn. Unlike the rest of his race, the young dwarf was open and welcoming. Perhaps it was his job as a medic that showed him how short life could be to be wasted remembering feuds and affronts or perhaps the fact that his own nature was inquisitive and he wanted very much to learn about the world of Avalia through first hand accounts.

The Legions did not travel far from the dwarven territory. Most of the deployments consisted to the border between Ironhold and the orc kingdom of Aldrakh. There were some small units that patrolled the norther border and some small out posts between River Port and Ironhold that helped secure the caravans from monsters or bandits.

If Arn was being honest with himself, he desperately hoped that the two ice fairies would indeed accompany him. Dwarves were very family and friend oriented people. They always communed with each other and formed strong bonds. It was not uncommon for cousins to fight in the same legion being two or three rows behind you in the phalanx. So the prospect of facing the unknown world alone was actually intimidating.

A sigh escaped the young medic. He could not force them to come with him and he would not be mad if they went their separate ways. War was in the horizon like a looming dark cloud. It was not a matter of if but a matter of when. A slight wave of sadness coursed through him as he remembered the words the young fairy had uttered before their departure.

“Whatever you're up to, if it involves killin’ dark elves, I’m in."

Arn did not know what drove the white haired lad to tint his words with such animosity towards the dark elves. True, the transmission had shown probably an important fairy being executed but the sense that the young dwarf got was that the hate burned much closer to home for Bowyn.

The young soldier’s clever mind recalled that Bowyn had said that he had lost is wings. Had perhaps the dark elves had a hand in that? It would explain and validate the hate that was reflected in the lad’s voice and perhaps could also account for the inebriated and possible ingestion of other substances to keep pain and memory at bay.

Perhaps it would be better to not bring the ice fairy pair along? It would feel as if he , Arn, had been responsible for putting the lad in harms way. Then again, it was not his decision to make. If Bowyn truly desired revenge and killing dark elves, he would find a way regardless of what the dwarf medic did.

Another inward groan and eye rolling followed this train of thought. The steadily walk did not betray the turmoil in the young dwarf’s mind. Arn was used to marching quietly while his mind worked. It helped to make the long miles that his Legion marched easier to bear. Curiously enough, despite his friendly nature, the dwarf did not have many friends. Many knew him and were polited and friendly towards him but it could probably be because he was their medic. So, he often found himself marching alone in a multitude of dwarves.

This led to people thinking he kept many secrets as even Bowyn had inferred. It actually ate Arn up that he could not fully disclose his reason for travel but he could not risk sharing more than was applicable. Before his discovery of being the bastard prince, the young medic had no secrets. He did not know he had any secrets. He was just the proud son of a worthy General who did not rest on those laurels and had made his own name by saving people. Yet another drawback of his newly found heritage.

The Helius platform came in view. The flying monstrosity made Arn draw in a long breath through his teeth. Despite the fact that these technological wonders had been in service for some time and the casualties had been very small, few dwarves probably enjoyed using them. The soldier himself had only been in one two or three times for training that was centered on mass transport of legions to far locations. He felt quezy just thinking about it. The stocky medic exhaled resolutely.

The bastard prince turned and was glad to see that the two fairies seemed to still be there. He could not help but smile. Trying to be polite, he had kept an acceptable distance to let them talk amongst themselves. He cleared his throat and then addressed the two fairies politely. “Mister Bowyn and Miss Rue, if you are still planning on travelling to River Port, would you allow me the pleasure of purchasing the tickets for you.” His reason for asking was because he only had experience with dwarves and they were proud folk. Hand outs and gifts were something reserved for family or very close friends. During holidays, if a gift was given, one was technically expected in return. Thus he hastily added. “If it is not too much of an imposition of course.”

His mind suddenly remembered the wolf. Would he have to pay for the creature too? It would be best to ask the ticket master if the animal would even be allowed in the Helius. Though he could not see why not. After all, cattle and other such livestock were also transported in different holds in the ship. “I will inquire about your furry friend too miss Rue for I am sure you do not wish to part from it…I believe you called him/her Moony?" He located the ticket office and looked at his time piece again. Arn looked at the two fairies with a smile on his face obviously waiting for their response.

Time: 10AM
Location: Jungle
Interactions: Annya @princess , Saorise @Potter Raven @Tae, Caelan @Alivefalling, Ismael @Th3King0fChaos
Equipment: Cobalt Saber, Cobalt Half Plate, 1330 Amas, Map of Avalia, Lantern, Water Flask, 3x Torch, x10 Travel Rations, Washing Brush.

The final human of their quintet finally introduced herself. Shae was her name and she kept glancing at Raven. Well the two had to know each other, they fell on top of each other coming out of their portal. But she had a smell of worry for some reason. Eh wasn't his problem to fix currently. Ismael began to ask some questions, one for Raven, the other for Annya and possibly himself. Speaking of Raven her hand went to his, and smiled, before he removed his hand from her shoulder. She'd be fine and she'd learn some interesting things when they got to their destination.

She did explain what a cosplayer was which made him think for a moment. Kind of sounds like a bard or a performer." He commented and then she explained her knowledge of carbuncles. Also that she had no combat experience, which made him think their world is a lot more managed or peaceful than their own. "That can be easily rectified, just pay attention to what Annya teaches." He rumbled out before his ears flicked towards a thudding sound. Big footsteps.

The giant sword wielding behemoth shifted to the front of the group when Annya told him where she wanted him and then told Ismael there were plenty of things that were dangerous and she'd let them know if it was a run or kill deal. As if the world were playing a trick out came a troll from the left, then the rear. Almost a pincer, but almost never counted for anything. The one from the left immediately gunned for the dragonborn and swung its club. To any other species except a dragonborn and maybe an orc, that was more along the lines of a great club.

A shift of his shoulder and the club impacted on his sword that was braced against his shoulder and even his head at an angle, skirting up the angled length of cobalt, and throwing the troll off balance. The giant reptilian took only a fraction of the force of the blow before his sword was moving again. His foot swept forward, putting him closer to the long armed troll, and his blade came down in a vertical slash. The combined force of the blades weight and his own strength cut through the trolls over extended arm and even carved a gash down its torso. It helped he kept his blade very sharp, if a human could use the damned thing they could have shaved with it.

The huge blade stopped before it embedded in the ground and was twisted around to come back up for another slash to cleave the troll from groin to face.
