Saoirse

Time: 10am
Location: Jungle
Interactions:@Tae Raven @Kazemitsu Kharne @Th3King0fChaos Ismael @princess Annya

The voice of Ismael reached Saoirse’s ears and she rolled her eyes. She reframed from visibly groaning, especially when Raven agreed with him. Nerd. ”That sentence was long enough to wipe my ass with,” Even if he was right, he didn’t know her, nor did he understand her plan. Don’t tell me what to do. Despite it being half baked, it was better than standing around waiting for their possible imminent death. She had not escaped jail only to die at the hands of these dumbass trolls. She watched as Annya and Kharne fought valiantly but wondered how long they could keep it up. Raven’s question made her stare at her with confusion and look down at her wrists. Wide-eyed, she stared at the sparks and brought her hands up to her face, but a safe distance away. She moved her wrists around and then beamed from ear-to-ear with excitement and joy.

”Do I…have fire…?” It took her a moment to comprehend it and then gasped. The unmistakable flames around her wrist and the smell of it were indeed fire. It wasn’t burning her either and almost tickled. Shae couldn’t stop grinning as she quickly pieced it together. ”Ohhh you’re kidding me!! I have FIRE?” She glanced at Raven with amusement. The world of Avalia blessed her with her pyromaniac tendencies; she couldn't believe it. She then turned to find Annya and Kharne now getting their asses handed to them. With every thud Annya took into the ground, Saoirse mentally cringed. The dragon...born seemed to be fairing slightly better but wasn’t out of the woods.

Saoirse growled and assessed the situation. If they were knocked unconscious, they were dead. She hated sitting on the sideline, but she hated getting involved as well. She didn’t know shit about these ugly creatures. The only experience she had with trolls were the few cops she’d dealt with and trolling people online in her free time. However, they had magic, although they weren’t sure how to use them. Shae glanced at the other two and then back to the battle at hand. She had her matches and knives too to help as well. Her expression was inquisitive and calm as she studied the situation and was silent for what felt like hours for the others most likely.

It was now or never. She brought her arms down roughly and shook them like a bird almost to rid herself of the flames, so she didn’t set anything on fire. It took her a few clumsy tries but finally she succeeded. Shae moved back as if ready to bolt, then turned and ran to the side towards a tree. At first it looked like she might ram it and get a concussion; but at the last second she approached it, she kicked off the tree and gained momentum. She then reached her arms up and grabbed the tree branch and lifted herself up as if doing a pull up. She then jumped upwards quickly while keeping an eye on the belligerent trolls and pulled herself back up, moving quickly like a squirrel. She felt safer with the higher vantage point and was a safe distance away from the creatures, and not in the path of Raven or Ismael. Shae moved back up and glanced down at the scene as she took two knives out. She had to succeed. The group’s life depended on it and if the two Avalians died, they were screwed, and she was troll meat. What a terrible way to die, she thought as she twirled a knife in her hand and focused, allowing her anxiety, fear, and anger to flow through her. Gaia didn’t raise no coward.

Saoirse turned to look down at the troll beating Annya into a pulp and watched for an opening, so she didn’t hurt the warrior princess. She then took a deep breath and did the unthinkable: ”HEY!” She yelled and waved to it. ”Come and get your human!” As soon as she gained its attention, Saoirse threw her knives and aimed for its eyeballs. In her state of adrenaline, the knives lit up into flames as they left her hands, but she did not notice right away. As soon she threw the knives, she jumped from her tree branch and onto another one, this one much farther back. Knowing that she was in a dangerous spot, Shae jumped to the next tree branch and then waited a few seconds and moved onto another tree branch. Her movements were fast and precise, and it was difficult to spot her as she continuously moved to confuse the trolls. She jumped onto the ground a safe distance away and stood diagonal of the other two.

”Raven and Ismael, find your magic and help us!” Saoirse called to them. As she waited to see what happened, she grabbed a stick and lit a match and tipped the end of it into the flames. She glared at the trolls if they came near her.

Equipment:Black coat with fur trim on the hood, dark-colored, plain male clothing, sword with unbreaking and return enchantments, strength enchanted gloves, 2 medium red potions, hygiene products, timeteller, wayfinder, a flask, standard backpack, accordion, transmission bracelet and an ama pouch with 1740 amas.

Helio glanced at Lizzie as she informed him. It was slightly comforting to hear that their deaths had brought more peace into the world, but it still went against his belief system. Fairies had been raised, even in battle, to kill only in self-defense and spare as many as one could. But if it was all true, that Helio had already sullied his hands with the blood of hundreds, then would anything ever absolve of him of his past anyway? Maybe he was just a doomed man at this point. He shrugged it off as there was nothing to be done about it now, and instead listened to Lizzie's next statement. She made sense in his eyes, if the crew had all been killed, then it could be a long time before people noticed they were gone, especially if they had all been criminals. Still, anyone could tell off that bat that Barboda was not paranoid. For him to be warning them, there must have been good reason.

Barboda then confirmed they were from the light elf army and Helio understood why he was warning them. "The light elf army would never enslave people. If that's who you killed, Barboda, then they'll be here within the day." Helio also now understood that what Lizzie had said, was a lie if Barboda's words held true, which was no shock since she was a pirate. The light elves were stuck up and assholes at times, but they'd never enslave others. If they had been all the way out here, he had to wonder if they had meant to summon humans out here in secret perhaps. Could the man in the cell have been a human that had been summoned? Shouting from below reached his ears and further curiosity befell him as well as Lizzie seemingly.

Then suddenly Lizzie invited them to her quarters, and this interrupted all his productive thoughts. He gave Barboda a smirk and gently elbowed his arm as if to say, We're in.

He followed Lizzie with no hesitation. "Who am I to reject such a polite invitation?

Tesoro waited. He waited as the mermaid spoke her rebuttal. Tesoro maintained a calm demeanor on the surface. He did not need to appear flustered when being spoken to by a creature such as the one in front of him. He almost wanted to cover his ears while she spoke in fear of her working her tricks on him to make him comply with her orders.

But alas she did not. Instead, he caught an earful from the mermaid. Some, those who do not know the horrors of mermaids, would say that it was deserved. Tesoro surely did not think so. He felt as if he was completely in the right. Anyone worth their salt as a sailor would not be friends with a mermaid, not ever at the gates of Death herself. Tesoro spoke up when the mermaid finished her words. "Hear the words of this creature, mates. She just said if she wanted the crew dead, we'd all be drifting in the sea already. Is this the sort of threat you want on our journey? Look at her as she threatens me with her dagger while I've done nothing but speak a few words of concern." Tesoro gestured towards the mermaid, not really caring if anyone actually was listening. "And you, Creature , you can take your hand away from that blade. If we were to fight, I would make sure to kill you slowly, intimately. All those things you listed off, a capable crew such as this can surely accomplish without your influence... Luring a ship for prize. How low are you willing to stoop? It is entertaining to be called a rat by a creature..." Tesoro visibly spat on the deck to show his disdain. "Nonsense. Keep yourself and your voice away from me. I'll do the same." Tesoro said, keeping an keen eye on the mermaid.

"To be honest, as creatures go, she isn't too hard on the eyes..."
A thought that flashed for the briefest moment in Tesoro's mind before it faded...

The vuothoran thrashed its large claw just over Caelan, carrying Sohpie, and Aurora. The light elf could hear the momentum gather like a gushing, violent wind as it clawed violently over their heads. The auras of Caelan and Sophie grew significantly by the onslaught of movements through the jungle. She tried not to fear what would happen to them, as she managed barely to cover her own condition.

Her feet continued padding as quickly as they could against the dirt flooring. She followed gracefully, making sure to judge the appropriate nimbleness for the outdoors. While she was not the swiftest in movements, she was not the slowest either. And Nuallán's steps hastened protectively. She heard his voice through the chaos. It was a quick, stable sound, and Aurora held onto his tune as she tried to find a rhyme and rhythm through all the rumbling of the jungle.

The sounds continued as loud and booming, and suddenly, there was another sound, like that of a group of light elves. She could discern this by the sound of their magic and distance of powers. She made no attempt to turn around to observe for auras. Instead, she trusted within herself and continued her run for safety. As she began her prayers within herself, the sound of a light elf screaming for his own life echoed through the trees and openings and closings of the jungle. Aurora could feel the poor creature’s pain as life left his mortal body. A prayer for the sacrificed life was quickly chanted silently within herself.

And then, the group had made it to safety. Their energy levels had shifted dramatically, especially the humans'. They looked like pulsing stars, ready to explode. Nuallán's voice was heard again, directed towards her. Aurora turned to his tall frame, still calm and collected. It was evident that he had been running from something dangerous, but his usual smoothness was still glowing with its usual ambiance. Her blind eyes quickly shifted to look for Lady Rosaria. The princess seemed fine, as well.

"I am terribly sorry for asking this of you so soon but... The humans might need your assistance calming their hearts... Now more than ever." Nuallán said in a low tone and with a discreet bow towards her. She watched his energy lower as he spoke and received his suggestion with a welcoming smile. The look of worriment remained on her face, as usual, though.

The light elf turned towards the humans. They were such strong yet impressionable creatures. SHe would tend to their needs as was fit for them. Each had their own individual trials and feelings within that differed from one human to the next. Each creature shared a distinction in this manner, her father had taught her. Never under estimate the interior of a being. No matter how trivial of a thing it might be. The humans were nothing but trivial. If anything, she found them more complicated than any of the creatures in Avalia, "Yes, I shall sooth and comfort your spirits. It will remain most calming if you accept my gift with your eyes closed, but the gesture is not necessary." She understood that after such an event, putting one's guard down could stir unwanted emotions. However, accepting her magic was best done in the best concentrated manner, which seemingly was with eyes closed.

Quietly, Aurora lifted her hands as if holding a fragile crystal ball of some sort. Her fingers were relaxed, and her white cloak draped gracefully from her limbs. She began humming an enchanting song that sounded ancient to the humans. She drew the energies of Solaris, where glittering sparkles of the sun dazzled through the overhung leaves of the forest. Little sprites trickled like starlets into her palms and vibrated her peaceful hum into an inaudible peaceful pulse that radiated through the hearts of the humans.

Ismael couldn't find his moment, his weapon was his fist and he wasn't a bastion of strength. He was strong, but he didn't have the confidence to try and run in with anything other than his wits and strength. As all he could do is watch, he felt in his chest something in him started calling out. A frustration within him that called for him to do something. He's just here watching 2 people dying to protect him, but what is he to do? His mind races as his heart start pumping.

Unbeknownst to him, however, something did answer his feelings. His eyes sparked for a moment as then he heard the voice of Shae. He turned to her as she spoke, her words told enough to him, she seemed to have accessed her power, as he saw her throw blades of fire. His eyes followed them as he realized at that moment, 'Shae seemed to have been in great stress, a heightened moment where she found great power'. So Ismael knew that their power needed some kind of intense trigger, so he had to try something to maybe unlock his power, maybe, just maybe, he can get the strength to fight. He took a breath in and focused, if frustration and excitement are needed to unlock the powers, he'll need to try and force himself to not stay calm, he'll need to listen to his instincts.

Ismael's eyes flew open and locked onto the monster that is attacking Annya. Ismael took a low stance as he rushed it, he went into a full dash knowing that the beast is too occupied with Annya and the knives flying into its face to make a notice of him at that moment. Right when Ismael came within the range he knew he could hit, Ismael takes one last leap landing on his left leg in a long jump, trying to generate as much power into his shot. Once his leg lands, he twists his body bringing himself from his half landing pose to a more erect position, as he twists his full body into a more spinning motion to transfer all of the momentum and energy into a full-powered spinning back kick aiming straight to the groin and lower stomach area of the Troll.

Within that moment a spark ignited from his eyes as this blue lightning started flowing from them it started covering his entire body. When the kick comes to the moment of impact is when the lightning across his body began to flow and focus towards his leg and then his foot, almost as if a lightning bolt was about to strike.

Raven watched in horror as everything seemed to fall apart. Annya was being smashed around like Hulk smashes Loki in the first Avengers movie. Kharne was being held down and pummeled by the other troll. Panic was rising once more in the white haired girl as she felt a growing urge to do something. She wasn't the only one with that idea, however, as Shae seemed to climb the trees and throw flaming knives at the troll attacking Annya before calling out to Raven and Ismael to help. Ismael quickly followed, also attacking the one on Annya.

Raven's eyes locked onto the one attacking the Dragonborn. Come on powers, you worked once, let's do this again. She took a deep breath as anger rose in her. "Hey asshole! Get off of him!" She yelled at the troll as she flung her hands out. To her surprise, a strong gust of wind shot out. The troll was lifted off of Kharne and then flung straight back into a tree branch, impaling the troll.

Lizzie almost facepalmed when Barboda contradicted her lie. She even gave him a look that seemed to portray her irritation, but then moved on. "We'll be leaving shortly, I think we'll be okay for a few more minutes at least." She said as she entered the captain's quarters. At first sight of her quarters she was quite pleased. It wasn't a terribly big place, but it was decent sized. In the center of the room was a desk with a nice wooden chair with red cushioning on it. On the desk was various papers, a Captain's log, and a map. To the right of the room was a double bed with matching red bedding. To the left was a wardrobe and on the corner seemed to be a changing screen.

Lizzie was smiling now and nodding in approval for a moment before turning to look at Barboda and Helio. "We need a heading. As Barboda so kindly pointed out earlier, I was summoned to this world and so thus I don't know its waters. Where are the best trade routes? Where should we make port next? I need the two of you to assist me in figuring these things out. Once that is done and we have our heading, we can leave." She explained to them and then moved towards the changing screen to finally change her clothes.

Mika could hear Yuka applauding her, but her attention was pulled away by Siv as he pulled her hood back up. He then led her away from the others and began scolding her. She would have been lying if she said she didn't expect it. She was also positive Kuroi would scold her too. She let him speak his peace, knowing everything he said was valid. To her, though, it wasn't such a simple decision. "I shall let it go from here for sure, but it's a tough position I'm in. If I didn't speak up and allowed them to think I had no care for them then it likely would be harder in the future when I'm to become queen. They need to know that they'll have a leader that cares for them." She explained to him, hoping he'd understand her position.

She then noticed Slick leaving and she found herself quickly trying to get his attention. "We need to try and keep the human with us for his own protection." She told Siv and then remembered she had some water in her bag. She quickly grabbed it, having a feeling Slick might need it with the trip he likely was on thanks to being drugged. "Come on." She said as she pulled Siv along towards Slick.

"Hey wait, I know this is a lot and I apologize, but it'll be safest with us. Here you should drink some water." She said, handing him the water. They needed to get moving quickly and she needed to contact Rosaria.

Time: 10 am
Location: Jungle
Interactions: Rosaria @Potter, Sophie @princess, Caelan @Alivefalling, Nuallán @13org, Aurora @chrysocoma
Equipment: A dagger, fake elf ears, a ring of disguise, bag full of supplies, and some new schweet clothes

Jomari looked in a mixture of surprise, horror, and disgust at Nuallán as the elf flashed him that weird, kind-of murderous smile. He got so distracted by it that he almost tripped and fell over but thankfully he managed to regain his footing at the right time. Now that incredibly creepy smile was implanted in his brain.

'If that clean-cut a-hole smiled at me like that again, I will so gladly volunteer to jump straight to the beast's mouth.' Jomari thought to himself.

Thankfully, the impending doom brought about by the monster chasing them proved to be an excellent distraction. He kept running and running, sometimes letting out loud shrieks of terror like how the women in his time would scream when they saw a cockroach, only this time the cockroach was 10 feet tall and had only murder in its mind. Nuallán yelled at Jomari to not run too far from the group or else he might run into another breast's lair. Jomari couldn't imagine a monster more terrifying than the one chasing them but he's too afraid to ask them about it so he just kept running while being mindful of his distance from the group.

Jomari risked a quick glance back and saw the Vuothoran swinging its massive arm at Sophie and Caelan. Seriously, how could a monster this big be this fast? Also, why did it keep chasing them if it's territorial? Did that mean the entire jungle was its territory? That's one mighty possessive son of a bitch.

The beast slammed itself on the tree trying to chase them and Jomari was thankful the jungle's overgrowth managed to slow him or else they would've been early lunch for it a long time ago. Just as it was about to strike once again, something quite amazing happened. Sophie raised her arms instinctively as bolts of electricity released from her hands and struck at the Vuothoran, making it let out a pained roar and fell to its knees as its body convulsed.

Jomari stopped running a bit to admire Sophie's handiwork. "Yeah! Take that, you ugly bitch! He screamed and taunted the monster just as three other light elves came out of nowhere and told the group to leave as they distract it. Jomari was confused by it at first. Why would they need to leave now that they had reinforcements to help defeat it? Also, he didn't like the elves' choice of words as they said they'd 'distract' it rather than 'take it down.' Anxiousness grew within him and he gasped in horror as the monster snatched one of the elves and...

He forced himself to ignore it, continuing to run with his group while the battle ensued behind them. He forced himself to clear his mind, focusing only on running as the beast roared in defiance while the two elves fought with it. Jomari didn't stop for anything until they had managed to arrive upon a clearing by a river surrounded by a canopy of trees after running for what seemed to be hours. He supported himself against a nearby tree, sweat dripping from his forehead as he caught his breath. It was only that they were safe that Rosaria explained what the monster chasing them was. He would've snapped at the elves, saying 'I told you so' or whatnot, but he had no more fights to give especially after what he saw a while ago.

That loud crunch of huge, sharp teeth as it gnawed on the elf's body, his scream of pain and anguish gone in the instant the Vuothoran 'chewed' him like he was just some sort of snack, whatever's left from the poor man's body dripping down the beast's bloodied maw.

Jomari had seen what the Spaniards have done to the members of the resistance once they caught them. They defiled them, tortured them for months on end. Even after they confessed, those cold-hearted bastards still continued to make them suffer just for the thrill of it. When they die, their bodies were discarded on the riverbanks like mere trash, their bodies marked with numerous scars and wounds. Seeing the mangled remains of the elf reminded him of the countless innocent lives taken by the Spanish basta- no, those Spanish monsters.

Even as Aurora went over the humans and used her magic in an attempt to keep them calm, all these thoughts and memories came crashing down on Jomari in an instant. He couldn't take it anymore and rushed to the river, going on all fours as he vomited. With his stomach emptied, he panted and wiped his lips before looking at Aurora with a horrified and angry expression. Though furious, his voice was low and breathless.

"What the fuck did you get us into?"

An elf came running from between the trees toward the monster, claiming he was going to distract the monster, only to be grabbed by it a moment later. Sophie's pupils dilated as it picked up the male. "No no no!"She cried and tried to wave her hand again, attempting to make the lightning bolt as she had before, but it was all to no avail. It wouldn't happen again. All she could do was watch in horror as the blood and flesh fell from the creature's mouth. The sounds she heard would probably haunt her forever. Her heart sank as she noticed there were two more trying to fight it for them. She almost called out to the others that they had to go back for them, but she knew deep down that no one had a chance against that thing.

Sophie hung her head, nausea overcoming her. She remained silent for the next ten minutes until Rosaria's voice reached her ears. She glanced up at the woman but did not reply. She slid out of Caelan's grip and stumbled backward clumsily. She then wrapped her arms around herself, trembling in fear and shock as Rosaria told them the name of the creature and that they had been in its territory. Sophie was mildly aware of the pixie that had been hanging on her, moving about her shoulder to jump into her backpack. She couldn't blame the pixie for going in there.

When Rosaria congratulated Sophie, she said nothing about it. Her gaze was pulled to Aurora when she started doing some strange hand movements after Nuallán had spoken to her. The girl began to hum. The world around them soon seemed to be glittering and peaceful, despite what they had all gone through. It didn't take away how ill Sophie felt, but it did soothe her anxiety a little. She gave a small smile towards Aurora to display her gratitude.

Jomari, on the other hand, did not seem soothed at all. She moved on instinct to kneel at his side and rub his back as he vomited.
Once he had finished, he asked, "What the fuck did you get us into?" Sophie wasn't one to word things in such a way, but she felt the same. They were in way over their heads.

Trolls

Time: 10 AM
Location: Jungle
Interactions: Annya @princess, Ismael @Th3King0fChaos, Saoirse @Potter, Kharne @Kazemitsu, Raven @Tae

The troll immediately dropped Annya after she imbued her armor with the light, only to look up to some shouting in the trees. It watched as two flaming knives flew at its face one of them going right through its eye. It yelled in pain, stumbling back as it was reaching for the knife in his eye. He yanked it out along with the eyeball still skewered on blade and threw it to the ground. The troll stood there trying to regenerate only to be kicked in the lower area. The force and intense shock of electricity surged through his body until his heart stopped causing it to drop to the ground dead. His body fell back to the ground with a thud and dispersing of dirt into the air.

The other troll continued to pound on the dragonborn only to be lifted of the ground by an intense force of wind; it flew backwards, unable to stop itself, only to slam into a large tree. A thick branch stuck out from the center of it’s chest, impaling it’s heart. The troll stood up, moving his body off the broken branch with a grunt of agony. It clearly assumed it could regenerate as it took a few steps towards the group before it too fell to the ground, still.

Time Skip

Day 1: Moonday, Juume 21st
Time:7pm, The Summer Solstice

As the world tried to recover from the declaration of war, the day seemed to settle down for the most part. It became abundantly clear to all of Avalia that King Kasai and the Twin-Headed Dragon had discussed their alliance. King Kasai forfeited his control of his kingdom to the dark elves, as well as his army. His decision was publicly defended by officials as a move to ensure the safety of his citizens but was met with outrage by not only Roshmi but from all of Avalia. Meanwhile, the Sun Elven King and Queen have been kept out of the public eye as the dark elven army has started to close in on their kingdom, estimated to arrive at nightfall.

After the arduous battle with the Trolls, Princess Annya, though weakened, managed to lead her group successfully to River Port, enthusiastically complimenting them on their great work the entire way. After visiting their health center, she moved them to an Inn to rest for a few hours. Meanwhile, Princess Rosaria and those with her managed later in the day to come upon a carriage on a nearby road with a driver more than happy to bring them aboard. Princess Mikazuki would have also most certainly taken her leave with her followers out of Roshmi by nightfall.

Now as we reach dusk, the sun sets with a last explosion of color before the engulfment of night. A deep saturation of warm colors was thrown across the canvas of the Avalian sky as if the Gods were painting, pinks, yellows, and even purple tints detailed the clouds. This art was only momentary, however, as dusk set in over the land, promising starlight to all who gazed upon it.

River Port

Ambience
See Wiki Page for establishments and shops

The smell of salt and moisture in the air had greeted the newcomers into River Port. The sound of seagulls filled the air. The buildings that spanned down the road were humble. They seemed to be housing buildings for the civilians here. The roads here were cobblestone. All sorts of species of people moved through the road. The citizens had been stared with interest as a Helius had arrived earlier that day and two winter fairies had come off with a dwarf. Though this wasn’t too surprising, as another dwarf had come into town earlier that day as well. As dusk had set, the sound of music and laughter filled the air as those who dwelled in River Port sure loved their night life.

Time: Evening
Location: Governor's Meeting Chambers, Avian City
Interactions: Governor Talasi Brightfeather, Avian Skyguard commanding officers, other government officials and honored guests
Mentions:

Word of the alliance between Roshmi City and Malthemoor had been all but rumor and speculation since the early hours of Juume 21st. Mention of the war had all been whispers before, but the idea of King Kasai forming a military alliance with the Twin-headed Dragons made the war the talk of the city. Some doubted Roshmi King being so cowardly, while others felt it made perfect sense. Augus Maximus III, simply waited, contemplating official chambers about what he himself might do. Official news of the alliance arrived with the evening. And now a decision had to be made.

Governor Talasi Brightfeather called for the meeting, and so Augus III accompanied by his oldest son, Augus IV attended. If his son was meant to succeed him, Augus III would make sure the young man was familiar with the affairs he might partake in within his future. He had thought of bringing his daughter, but Lyrah had little interest in these matters, or so he thought.

The highest level officials were standing within the open chamber around a large round stone table with nowhere near enough space for all the attendees. Augus III stood directly across the governor with a rather pensive expression on his face, juxtaposing the soft curious face of his son standing a step behind his right wing.

“Good evening Avians. We gather here in this chamber to discuss our next action concerning King Kasai’s decision to ally himself with the Malthemoor Kingdom. His decision puts us in a rather tough place, especially due to our close political, cultural, and geographical relationship. Unlike King Kasai, I cannot simply make a decision without considering the will of my people and those that represent them, and so here we are, gathered here to make a decision for every citizen of Avian City. Commander of the Skyguard, General Maximus, you may speak. I can sense your eagerness.” To which he nodded to his governor.

“Good evening. I will not hold my tongue on this matter. King Kasai is and always has been weak among the three Demi-human lords. In the matter of one day, he tossed away whatever relationship or trust we’ve had to the wayside. There was no consulting or preparing us for this disgusting alliance. To ally himself with those monsters after they publicly executed his firstborn… How does anyone expect us to stand beside such garbage? And if we cannot stand beside Roshmi, we must stand against them! My Skyguard is ready to defend our city and provide aid to our true allies.”

“Stand against Roshmi?! They’re our primary means of trade! Our entire economy depends on them! Sure, we can rely on the Aquarian Kingdom, but they lack the resources we need. And who’s to say they haven’t sided with the Dark Elves or Roshmi?” An older black-bearded Avian with black spotted gray wings spoke up. A woman with short dark hair cleared her throat to indicate she would speak next. She was Mistress Talonis.

“The Aquarian Kingdom may be stuck up and narrow-minded, but those people are too proud to go along with King Kasai’s madness. They are likely gathered just as we are.” There were a few snickers in the audience at the idea of such a thing happening in a coregency. “Not exactly like this, but I do believe they are looking at Roshmi under a harsher lighting than they already have. Worst case, they keep to themselves and openly trade with both sides.” She concluded.

“If this is really happening, we need to halt all civilian travel to our city by Amora.” A blond curly-haired young man, Master Cain stated.

“That can be done.” Augus III answered swiftly, but noticed the man, Master Haytham, concerned with commerce looking his way with a frown.

“I don’t believe we have made a decision yet.”

“This will not be permanent. The Sun Elf Kingdom will want to see Roshmi City under the control of its allies as quickly as possible. The city is not only positioned far from their Dark Elf allies, but if my intel is accurate, King Kasai will be dealing with civil unrest from his people. If trade is what you’re worried about, Roshmi will not be in a state to provide it regardless. If we are so worried about commerce, we do not need to look too far beyond Roshmi. Myriamor is another option.”

“You believe Myriamor will aid our people? We have not established proper trade with them since the establishment of the Demi-human Council of Lords.”

“True governor, but with one bridge burned, we must form others in its place. Tradition is important, yes, but it is not being honored by all parties.”

“And what of the people of Roshmi. If this intelligence is accurate, the citizens will be fighting against Roshmi’s guard force. Closing the Amora port might do more harm to refugees than good for our people.”

“We must not leave the commercial transport open, governor. Master Cain, Mistress Talonis, the four mayors, and myself may be able to establish a way to get refugees out of Roshmi to appropriate living quarters here, but it cannot be within its city limits. A company of Skyguard will provide security for these emergency transports. The rest of my Skyguard will then be tasked with defending our city and providing air support to the resistance within Roshmi City. If we can dethrone the coward, we can reclaim Roshmi.”

“And commerce with Roshmi.”

“So are all representatives content with what we have discussed? Including those who have chosen to remain silent?” Talasi Brightfeather looked amongst all who had a position at the table. “Good. I have heard all of your statements and we all seem to have come to a similar conclusion. You all are the few that represent the many of our city and I instill great trust in you all. I will establish contact with the lords of the Aquarian Kingdom, Myriamor, the Sun Elf Kingdom, Ironhold, and River Fairy Kingdom to state our position in standing against Roshmi. Against the Dark Elves. Representatives, you know what you must do. General Maximus, we are placing much faith in the Skyguard to defend our people, and safeguard those in need. We soar high above expectations as we always have and as we always will.” Her eyes scanned all of their faces, even that of young Augus IV. “For flight is in our nature!”

“FLIGHT IS IN OUR NATURE!”

--

After the meeting concluded, Augus and his son took flight to travel home to have dinner with the rest of their family.

"You'll be busier." Augus IV stated, but only to hear his father confirm.

"We all will. I'll need you to be there for our family. You not only carry my name, you are my legacy. Remember this."

It had taken a little convincing, but Mikazuki’s continued generosity could not be dismissed so easily by the outlaw that had been pulled into such a strange world. He had never had too close of bonds with anyone, but here in Avalia, he could honestly say he had no one. Fortune, however, appeared to be on his side. Once sobered up some, as promised, Mikazuki, Kuroi, and Sivaros properly filled Slick in on the goings on in both Roshmi City and Avalia. And so, Slick decided to tag along since it was more convenient than going off on his own and getting drugged again. He was also instructed to keep his stetson on to hide his round ears from other Avalians.

Once word spread of King Kasai giving in to the Dark Elves, Mikazuki immediately contacted Rosaria in order to make a change in their meeting location. Instead of meeting in Roshmi City as planned, the two princesses planned to meet in Myriamor. From what Slick noticed, Mikazuki was leading the group. It wasn’t a common sight, but this was a very different world and plus, she was royalty. Slick had the feeling he would be shrugging off a lot here if he was going to remain sane, especially when it was decided the group would be traveling by amora from a smaller town outside of Roshmi City. To travel through the sky in a boat filled Slick with both amazement and a bit of terror, but it had been stated to be a safer method of travel. It had been explained that the group wouldn’t make the journey on foot before nightfall, and a horse drawn carriage wouldn’t make it in time either. The four kept conversation quiet on the amora, especially concerning the human in their party, Slick.

Arriving Myriamor’s transport hub was quite a sight for Slick as he caught sight of the interesting looking city. Upon stepping out of the amora, he looked around at the alien-like structures with awe.

“Jus’ when you think you’ve seen it all… Damn. Anyone know a good spot for drinks? A good drink is perfect when it comes to meeting folk where I’m from.” He eyed Sivaros, thinking he’d most likely be the one to know a decent spot as opposed to the other two.

Time: Morning to Evening
Location: Sun Elf Kingdom to Riverport Ferry

An hour. An entire hour was what it took to fully convince Kaleb he had not been kidnapped for ransom, wasn't dreaming, hallucinating, or on some reality game show. He'd searched for cameras and hidden microphones despite what the light elves that greeted him told him.

Then he demanded the elves explain everything to him again so he could have an understanding of things.

A place called Avalia in a different dimension…

Aid in saving the light elves with my untapped magical abilities…
Training regiment, meals, and protection provided. Definitely important. I hope lodging wasn't deliberately left out…

I'm one of the heroes. More like the[ hero. I doubt anyone is more qualified in saving the world than me…

I'll beat the big bad in some epic showing of all the things I learned since coming here, and then back home…

Maybe I can get a book deal out of this…

All of these thoughts came to mind and circulated as he was led by his trusty chaperones to River Port where Kaleb would meet what he imagined to be supporting cast types. He was wearing a purple outfit purchased for him and though he expressed distaste for it, it was far more heroic-looking than the other choice. There was a bit of a debate about his Gucci high tops but after much debate, a backpack was purchased for Kaleb to store them in while he wore the boots that went with his outfit. A second round of debating occurred when he requested the traveler's kit. He was informed he had no need for such an expensive kit and that their group had everything Kaleb would need in what was being sold. After some back and forth, Kaleb settled on the bow and quiver of arrows so he could feel comfortable and wouldn't stand out while traveling. Once the elf ears were on, the group stepped off to travel to River Port.

It could have been a quiet walk, but Kaleb just casually asked question after question.

"What's my magical power?"

"How far is River Port? How long is this walk?"

"Who are you guys fighting?"

"No cars?"

"Amoras huh? Why didn't we just take that?"

"Is River Port nice?"

"Anyone have food?"

"Anyone have real food?"

"Are these princesses… single?"

The last question caused the light elf leading the group to sigh and shake his head. As Kaleb became more bothersome, he also became more of a distraction. A distraction from a trio of opportunistic venriuk vipers. Two struck both the light elf leading and the other that was trailing. These three serpents were a hunting trio, finding small parties of Light Elves easy pickings due to their bright reflective scales. Kaleb looked around with wide eyes as the two elves yet to be attacked readied themselves. One was more adept with offensive magic while the other was wielding a sword and shield. They seemed ready to each take on a viper, but the third was just waiting to jut out from the thicket of the jungle and kill the magic adept. Kaleb fearfully held his bow and arrow in hand, but the guy wasn’t going to accomplish anything.

Lucky or perhaps even unlucky for Kaleb, it had been quite a few hours since Eris had been silently following the group while keeping herself invisible. She knew the invisibility may have been a bit excessive, but this group was skilled enough to summon a human and so their skills weren't to be underestimated. Were they as skilled as she in light magic? It was unlikely in her eyes. From the time she could walk and talk her mother had taught her magic, but of course the extent of her magic was unknown to most others anymore. She was a nobody, a simple traveler that was all.

About an hour ago when the group entered right into the hunting grounds of some venriuk vipers, Eris knew things were about to get interesting. Could she have "stumbled" across them and warned them? Sure, but where was the fun in that? There was no guarantee that the vipers would even find them and so Eris would have to intervene then, but she was realizing the chances of them making it through this dangerous area unscathed was growing thin as the human was rather loud with all his questions. She had to applaud him, though, as it helped keep the light elves distracted.

When the vipers finally attacked she remained hidden at a safe distance, but where she could watch everything happen. She had to keep an eye on the human, he needed to remain alive if she was to use him. Finally, her opportunity arose as the number of light elves dwindled after the third viper attacked. She grinned excitedly before letting the invisibility drop and running into the fray. She looked very concerned as she threw some half-assed magic attacks at the vipers, but of course, it was all for not as they were about to finish off their prey. "I was too late." She said, loud enough for the human to hear, sounding distraught. She then began looking around, as if trying to figure out the best move, before her eyes landed on Kaleb. He was about ready to forget the rest of his group and make a run for it, his eyes searching for the best opening.

"You...we need to run! No others should die to these things today." She said as she ran up to him, tears in her eyes as she gently tugged on his arm. As she did so, she also prepared 8 incredible illusory images of the two of them and sent them running in different directions at different times. Now she could only hope her act would convince this human to follow, otherwise, she might actually have to try and do something about these snakes and that would be such a pain. To her surprise, he just booked it without a word. There was no need to ask him twice.

As far as Kaleb knew, the Light Elf crew had really fucked up with whatever route they had planned and this woman was a damsel to the rescue. Kaleb kept with Eris’ pace and lead as he didn’t want to run into another one of those vipers or something far worse. As they ran, Eris threw beams of light at branches to break them and make following their trail more difficult. It should also create a bit of heat to throw off the vipers' heat-sensing abilities.

After 45 minutes of running, Eris finally began to slow as she knew they needed to rest a bit and figured they were likely safe. She turned to Kaleb now, breathing a bit heavily as she spoke. "We should be safe, we’re nearing a well-traveled road. Are you hurt at all? What were you doing so deep in the jungle?” She asked him while he himself was somewhat catching his breath. He hadn’t run that long in a while.

“Uh…” It was rare to catch Kaleb speechless. He tried to recollect the things he had been told. “I’m fine. We were going to some port town to meet with a princess… Annya?” He wondered if the name would ring any bells. He leaned up against a tree and shook his head as the viper attack was on his mind. ”Can you get me there uh..?” He intentionally paused to indicate he did not know her name.

”Oh yes, how rude of me. I’m Eris.” She took another moment to catch her breath and seeming to ponder his words. ”The princess you say? You must be very important then. I can certainly get you there if it’s the port town I’m thinking of. Does River Port sound familiar?” She knew full well that was the port as she’d overheard them talking, but she was curious to see if he’d actually listened.

“Yes! River Port. And I’m Kaleb and yeah, you could say I’m very important. Might be your only hope in saving Avalia.” He now had a cheeky grin. ”So if we can get there, Eris, I will make sure you are very well compensated for assisting me.” He was already making empty promises.

With that, the two agreed to travel together to River Port. Eris had claimed that she was conveniently heading to the port town for more merchandise, revealing her occupation as a traveling merchant. While on the road, Eris made sure to swoon over Kaleb's heroic gesture of being someone who could save the Avalians. This only loosened the guy's lips some, making him reveal he was a human and fib about how amazing he was on Earth. The swooning only continued, keeping an aura of confidence around Kaleb and an aura of excitement around Eris. As a way to maintain some more control and safety over the situation, Eris warned Kaleb not to be so open about who and what he was due to spies. He agreed easily, being the "only hope" and all. Anything to remain alive.

With some walking and light casual talking, the two eventually reached a port with the ferry that would take them directly into River Port just before sundown. As the two "acquired" tickets for the ferry, Eris noted Kaleb reacting very awkwardly when seeing a few Demi-human that were also boarding and excused his odd stares as Kaleb simply being uncultured and a young elf that had never stepped foot outside of Sun Elf Kingdom. And Kaleb being Kaleb, played along nicely to sell the falsehood. In a few hours, Eris had saved Kaleb twice, making him really hope Princess Annya could deliver on his promise.

“Y'know, I heard a rumor about humans having abilities. What can they even do?” He cleverly asked Eris as he wondered about his own untapped capabilities.

Time: Evening
Location: Off the coast of Yenworth
Interactions: Myra @13org
Mentions: Equipment: None

The day had not been the brightest due to the overcast in the region of the northern isles, but when night arrived, it was apparent in these parts. The huge naval vessels started to blend in with the dark skies and waters. With no major cities or the aid of bioluminescent creatures in these parts, it was quite dangerous to navigate with the moon unable to break through the thick clouds. This darkness may have been a reason the Dark Elves chose this route. Their eyes were not only able to peer through the darkness, but they had suitable cover from their enemies, especially the dwarves. Though the stocky-built bearded folk despised heights, they did find value in using the mountains to station observation points to watch the northern channel. It was too bad the Dark Elves picked the perfect evening to move a naval fleet to the Orc settlement of Aldrakh.

Traven could navigate with ease and his passengers appeared to be just as keen. Like himself, Astra could see just as visibly in the dark. Vrexen had better sight than your average creature, but his third eye allowed him to see more than other beings could. Myra’s senses were strong, so seeing in the darkness was not a problem.

“Yeneworth is right there.” Traven mentioned, causing Astra to smirk. She’d been waiting for this moment. Watching Traven, resenting the elf being so uncooperative, and scheming against him. It would probably take about five minutes to reach the port.

“And then to River Port.” She commented. Traven spat to the side, spraying part of the deck with his spit. Is the bitch touched?

“Ay! We’re not going to River Port! I’m dropping you three here and that’s as far as I’m takin’ you!”

“What?”
“What the fuck?! You said this would just be the rest stop!”

“Bitch, I said no such thing! Yeneworth! That was the agreement! Yeneworth and nothing more!””

“You fuckin’ no-good swindler! Living to your name! Traven the Treacherous!” Vrexen narrowed his eyes at Traven.

“Oh fuck you! You’ve fucked over more people than the oldest bastards I know and you haven’t even hit your seccenter years! Now sit the fuck back and be lucky I took you this far!”

“Traven the Treacherous. You will take us to our final destination.”

“Yeah, you will! Lord Vrexen demands it!” Astra wanted this fire to burn.

“Fuck you both and that pale bitch too! You ain’t gonna make me do shit!”

Lyrah and Augus

Time: 7 PM
Location: The Maximus family Estate
Interactions: Augus Maximus III @FunnyGuy, the rest of the family as NPCs
Equipment: a fork, a book, and a blue robe.

Within the Maximus household, dinner preparations were being made in the large dining room. Sylvia had enlisted the assistance of the two of her children who stayed home, Lyrah and Linus. Her husband and her son, Augus’ III and IV respectively, had attended Governor Talasi Brightfeather's meeting with the Avian City government officials. They were to discuss the recent news concerning Roshmi City's alliance with the Malthemoor Kingdom.

Despite Sylvia’s insistence to the contrary, Lyrah was perched in the corner on a chair. Her face was buried in a book, poring over the pages with single-minded devotion. As far as she was concerned, she had no obligation to help in any way. To her, menial tasks were boring, especially when they were as minute as dusting the tablecloth or whatever. It would all get dirty again anyway.

“Lyrah could you please get the utensils on the table? I think they'll be home soon..” Sylvia asked.

Lyrah just rolled her eyes and went back to reading, pretending she didn’t hear.

“Lyrah. Utensils. Please.” Sylvia said, turning to stare at her daughter, who looked up at her with contemptuous apathy.

“Why can’t dad and the fourth do it?” Lyrah asked in her monotonous drawl.

“Because you are here, Lyrah. Why is this like snatching feathers with you? Linus and myself would appreciate your help in preparing the dining area. That book will still be there after dinner. Just like all the others." Sylvia really disliked having these spats with Lyrah. It was apparent from her worn expression.

Linus entered the dining room with the plates. Without Augus IV around, the boy was quieter. Linus was considered the mama's boy of the two, especially since Sylvia's brighter years of motherhood occurred after his birth. Lyrah resented him for this. Everyone knew it. She didn’t make it known often, but when she did, there was no ambiguity about it. And so, there was no hesitation or secrecy in the burning glare she shot at Sylvia and Linus.

Eventually her gaze softened, from fierce to lifeless. Like a rotting fruit. “Okay. Good luck with that, I guess,” she said, looking back down at her book. “This book is here now, too, and it’s far more interesting than… what is it you want me to do, again?”

Sylvia sighed, shoulders sagging. Her daughter’s impertinence was an endless source of frustration. Every small task was an ordeal, and if it did get done, it never got done properly. “For the love of Zidur, Lyrah. Set the utensils on the table, please. It’s not that hard, you could have done it by now.”

“If it isn’t that hard then why don’t you do it?” Lyrah responded.

“Because, young lady, I did everything else.”

“I helped, mum!” Linus proudly exclaimed.

Sylvia turned to her son and put on a kind face. “Yes, hone-”

“Yeah, mum, give your favourite child some credit,” Lyrah said, deadpan and deliberate in her interruption.

Sylvia slammed a hand onto the table. The plates rattled. “Fuck!” she yelled. Daggers were shooting from her eyes. Right at Lyrah. Linus shifted uncomfortably, trying to disappear into a corner.

“Case in point,” Lyrah mumbled. She looked down at the pages, futilely trying to ignore the hole that Sylvia’s glare was boring into her skull. She slammed her book shut and dropped it on the chair. The lump in her throat cracked as she yelled, “What!?”

“Let’s try that again,” Sylvia said, her voice as sickly sweet as honey. ”Lyrah, could you please get the utensils on the table? I think they'll be home soon…”

A pain shot from Lyrah’s chest into her head, searing into her brain. She winced slightly. Words echoed throughout her mind, reverberating off the interior of her skull. This wasn’t the first time it had happened since last night, and she knew who it was. The thing in her book. Do it, Lyrah. Do it, and we can get on with our business.

Sylvia’s stare was still fixed upon her, a forced smile on her face. “Fine,” Lyrah said, climbing down from the top of the chair. “I’ll do it.”

“Thank you, darling.” Sylvia responded, tense shoulders slackening somewhat.

“Whatever.” Lyrah said. She skulked away to fetch some cutlery. She made sure to pick out a fancy set for the occasion, and upon returning, laid it all out by Linus’ dutifully placed plates. Nevermind that the forks and spoons were on the wrong sides.

It had only taken minutes for the table to be set. It wasn't perfect, but as if on cue, both Augus' entered the home. When entering the dining area, Augus III was pleased with what he saw and smelled. All that was left was for him to taste his meal. Augus IV had a hint of a smile, knowing he had gotten out of a few chores while out with his father.

“We have returned!” The boy announced with an exaggerated tone.

“Augus.” He glared at his son's silliness, causing it to die down on sight.

“Sorry, father.” He couldn't even look his father in the eyes.

“Get ready for dinner. Everyone is waiting.” Augus IV gave a single nod to his father before heading upstairs to do just that. And brag to Linus. Meanwhile, Sylvia entered the dining area from the kitchen to welcome her husband home with a warm smile. It was forced due to her altercation with Lyrah, but Augus hadn't noticed.

“I will get the food out and we can talk about everything over dinner. Just focus on changing out of that.” Sylvia grimaced at his attire, a tangible representation of his work life that had at times come before even his family.

Lyrah just stayed in the kitchen. As far as she was concerned, the more distance between her and Augus III, the better. Besides, she wanted to see how long it’d take for her father - or anyone for that matter - to notice her after they got home. Her bet was twenty minutes: the time it would likely take for them to sit down at the dinner table. But, in the end, it was anyone’s guess. It could be as few as five minutes if Sylvia mentioned Lyrah’s attitude. And in a perfect world, maybe Sylvia might have. Just seeing her husband home momentarily pulled her away from the altercation with Lyrah. Sylvia had always despised conflict, which was a bit unfitting for a partner of Augus. She challenged his strong need to fulfill his duties. It was the reason for his success within the Skyguard but his failure within his home.

“I’ll be back shortly. I don’t want you, Lyrah, and Linus to scold me for being too untimely.” Augus joked. Probably the only one he’d tell tonight. He hurried upstairs and Sylvia re-entered the kitchen.

“Hiding?” She posed to Lyrah.

That was quick, she thought. Maybe it had something to do with their fight? ”No,” was all she said, not even looking up from the pages. She most certainly was hiding, of course, but admitting that was the last thing she wanted to do.

“Well, now that your father and brother are back, we can eat and hear about what happened with Governor Brightfeather,” Sylvia replied. Lyrah only grunted in response. Her mother sighed, dropped the topic, and left to prepare herself for dinner.

A few minutes had gone by before everyone was seated at the table in the dining area. Augus III had been the last to arrive, dressed down in a dark blue robe, one of many he wore while at the family estate… something that was rare in itself. He was pleased with the set tableware until he noticed the misplaced utensils. He squinted at the deficiency, but took a seat anyway.

“Linus, please make sure the utensils are on their proper side.” Augus assumed it was his youngest son that had made the mistake.

Lyrah said nothing, giving Linus the side-eye, as if in warning. Hoping to avoid criticism where possible, she made sure her eyes spoke a warning.

Linus hesitated to utter anything. A long moment passed before he gulped, and decided to speak. “Uh… I’ll do better next time.” He’d rather take the small criticism than start anything with Lyrah. She scared him and he didn’t know why. Lyrah smirked in victory.

”Actually... Augus, that was Lyrah,” Sylvia said, matter-of-factly. For the second time that night, she considered bringing up her daughter’s attitude about the issue, but decided against that. Lyrah would only cause a scene about that, too. ”Anyway. Why don’t you tell us about the meeting, dear?”

Lyrah glowered at her mother from across the table. The others fixed their cutleries' placement, while she made a point of keeping hers untouched.

Augus IV broke out into a low snicker, covering his mouth to mask it. This earned him a death glare of his own. Unfortunately, this was all very obvious. To pull attention back to himself, Augus III cleared his throat. This put a quick stop to his son’s tomfoolery.

“The meeting…” He took a second to figure out how he might explain it to his family. Keeping things simple always worked best, but simplifying a war involving several kingdoms was not an easy feat. “As you may have heard, Rosmi City… King Kasai has decided to side with the Dark Elves. Avian City, our people, will be siding with the Light Elves and aiding the peop-”

”Dad. You always talk to us like you’re addressing the populace,” Lyrah interrupted. ”Why? I thought you were meant to leave work at the door?”

Sylvia glared at her daughter. Again. ”Lyrah… Let. Your father. Finish.” she said, teeth gritted hard from the pent-up conflict. ”Please.”

”Yeah Lyrah,” Augus IV said, holding back more snickers. ”Let him finish so he can tell you how cool it was.”

”Shut the fuck up Augus,” Lyrah spat back. She forced a smile. ”Father. Please, continue.”

Instead, Augus III remained silent and pensive for a brief moment. All those present at the table were familiar with that look of his. “Whatever this is. It will stop…” He took a breath before continuing. “Augus, do not antagonize your sister. And Lyrah, you know better than to use that kind of language at the table.” Augus III looked at Augus IV and then back at Lyrah. He expected better from them. Lyrah rolled her eyes for what felt like the hundredth time that day.

“As I was saying. Avian City will side with Light Elves of the Sun Elf Kingdom and we’ll be helping those that need help down in Roshmi. It means I'll be very busy during this whole thing. If you ever thought I was busy before…” He felt like he was using the wrong words. “I just need you to all be there for each other while I help deal with everything going on down below. Augus IV you are my heir, but you need to cut out some of your foolishness. And Lyrah, you are the oldest of my children, so please help your mother here at the estate when she needs it. A lot will be happening. Refugees will come pouring into our city and there’s a chance we might see fewer resources here after severing ourselves from Roshmi.” Augus didn’t believe the news was all bad, but it did not feel like something to have a family look forward to.

His son waited for a respectful moment before replying. ”Yes, father. I promise, I will be the man of the house while you’re gone.”

Lyrah, on the other hand, had completely tuned out after Augus III mentioned helping at the estate. That was never going to happen. Both her and Sylvia knew it. But neither dared to say anything, whether out of apathy or fear of conflict. They simply went about their meals.

That is, until Augus IV piped up again, directly contradicting his oath to be less silly. ”Oh, Linus! You should have seen them! They were all like ‘The Aquarian Kingdom is gathered’ and ‘the tradition bridge is burned’! It was so cool! And you shoulda seen Father… ‘King Kasai is disgusting garbage! They executed his sons! I will protect our true allies!’” he exclaimed, slowly standing further and further out of his chair as he went on his spiel.

Linus’ eyes grew wider in awe with each word. His brother had a childish glamour in the way he could make boring and monotonous meetings sound rife with excitement and drama. Even Lyrah was entertained, if only by the irony of Augus’ dramatic over-excitement for such a dull, formal event.

”Woooooow…. Father really showed them!” Linus exclaimed, practically yelling.

”Literally anyone can call Kasai disgusting garbage, Linus. Stop being so childish,” Lyrah butted in.

Sylvia sighed and rested her face on her palm. ”Lyrah, let them have their fun. It’s been a long day, and they both deserve it,” she said.

Lyrah responded by taking a large mouthful of food so she didn’t have to respond. Her fork was still in the wrong hand.

”Hey Lyrah,” Augus said. ”Um, you’re actually holding your fork in the wrong hand.”

”The fu- sorry,” she started, shooting a sharp look at her father. ”The… damn… whatever… Why should I care?”

”It’s unladylike.”

”Yeah Lyrah, it’s unladylike.” Linus said, ever the echo.

Lyrah shrugged at her brothers, offhandedly saying ”You’re gonna be a shitty man of th-”

”Lyrah! Boys! The three of you. Cut it out, right now. I’ve had it up to here, I swear,” Sylvia interrupted. Her voice was strained and agitated, yes, but perhaps more than anything, it was tired.

”The house, Augus,” Lyrah finished, throwing a withering glance in her mother’s general direction.

Augus III was unsure what he had come home to, but this would stop now. “Did I not say that this type of behavior would stop?! If you can’t eat here at this table without bickering with one another, then leave!” He snapped. Linus shrunk back into his seat, looking sheepishly up at his father.

Lyrah snorted. ”Alright, then.” She slid her fork onto her plate and picked it up in one hand. Her book was in the other. ”Bye,” she said, and walked toward the exit of the dining room.

“Lyrah. You can leave the plate or that damned book you’ve been carrying around.” Augus did not get up from his seat, but he was not in the mood to be tested. Augus IV stared at Lyrah, and then to his mother, trying to see if she would do or say anything to calm the situation down. However, Sylvia remained quiet, hoping things would deescalate on their own. Linus gulped yet again. He was preparing to witness the two most intimidating people in his life square off.

Lyrah stopped at the doorway, back turned to the table. She looked down at the book she clutched by the spine. Her back visibly tensed at the thought of what she was about to do. The plate quivered in her hand, held aloft just below shoulder height. A pain twinged at the base of her skull.

”As you say, Father.” she said.

And she dropped the plate. Right onto the ground, where it shattered into countless tiny pieces, spreading food everywhere and sending the fork flying under the table. She bolted out the door and up the stairs, to her room.

“Lyr-”

“Leave it! I’ll speak with her tomorrow morning.” Augus’ eyed the mess on the ground and sighed. “You boys are going to clean that up.”

“What?! Why do we have to clean that weirdo’s me-”

“Did I stutter?” Augus asked, but it was not rhetorical. “Did I?” His voice raised some.

“No.”

“Then my instructions were clear. Clean up the mess after you’re done eating… by yourself. Maybe that will teach you to learn when to speak.” Augus III said before returning to his meal.

Location: Off the coast of Yenworth
Interactions: Vrexen and Astra @FunnyGuy

While the instructions Astra gave definitely helped Myra to feel a bit better, she was still happy to see dry land after so much time on the sea. Being the first time travelling by boat, even after doing what Astra told, Myra couldn't help but still feel a bit strange. That sensation soon became to disappear once she saw dry land.

Even though it was already dark, Myra could still see clearly as she looked at their destination in the distance. From a single glance, Myra could already see that the land was definitely different from Daka, even the vegetation was very different. Having no idea of what she would find in that new land, Myra was definitely excited.

Just as Myra turned towards Astra and Vrexen, she realized that there was something happening. For some reason, Traven who was on the boat said something to Astra and Vrexen that they didn't like. Tensions were rising as Myra approached Astra and Vrexen, looking to Traven and trying to understand what was going on. The very moment she did that though, Traven looked at her with a hostile stare, saying something towards her.

While Myra really didn't know what "fuk yo" meant, for some reason she didn't think it was something nice. Assuming a low, hostile posture, Myra gave a few steps towards Traven, hissing and growling, showing him her teeth and claws. While she wouldn't attack him out of nowhere, should he make any harsh movement or if the fight between Astra, Vrexen and Traven really began, she wouldn't hesitate in putting the man down. After all, it was not as if she knew him or even considered him to be more than 'the person with the stinky horse-fishes'.

Astra fought back a grin when noticing Myra's hostility towards Traven. Sorry, geezer. Better you than me. Better anyone than me.

“You deny me?!” Vrexen finally rose from his seat snarling at the boatman.

“Yeah, what do you plan to do?! Go right ahead and kill the boatman on the fuckin’ BOAT!” Traven steered the hippocampi so the boat was traveling north instead of straight towards Yenworth. Vrexen lowered down on all fours to brace himself as the boat rocked.

“You think I can’t steer it myself?” Astra quickly challenged. Traven looked over his shoulder with a scowl. “I’ve been watching you do not a damn thing but sit and move your skinny ass arms the whole time! Swish this way! Swish that way! The fuckin’ horses do all the work for you, you piece of shit!”

“Yeah ya know all ‘bout what I do after a couple of hours of watchin’! You’ll kill your demon pals before I make it to the afterlife you daft whore! Go on! Kill me!” Traven dared them to take his life. Vrexen stood up on two feet and started towards Traven. He briefly turned to Astra and pointed to the boatman

“You speak as if your death is meant to invoke fear in me. I have survived long in violence! In the harshest layers of the abyss. I have had flesh melt from my very bones. I’ve breathed air that has torn through my lungs. My body crushed. My skin flayed. My eyes blinded. My so-”

“Why don’t you shut- aaagh!” Traven felt sharp claws grip his head, piercing into the skin. Vrexen palmed the elf’s head.

“Astra! Steer these beasts!” Vrexen ordered Astra. She ran up and snatched the reins. “Let go.” He squeezed onto Traven’s head who released the reins before being violently thrown down beside Myra. Traven’s head hit the deck with a hard thud. “His life is yours, Myra. You can kill him or you can throw him over. Your choice, sister.”

Rosaria

Time: Dusk
Location: Carriage in the woods
Interactions: @baraquiel Jomari @Alivefalling Caelan @13org Nuallán @princess Sophie @chrysocoma Aurora
Mentions: @Tae Mikazuki

The rest of the day had been quiet. Rose had prepared them food and allowed them free time to relax. She knew they needed to leave the jungle. One more terror and the group would lose it. While she had wanted to comfort and help Jomari, she kept her distance from him and allowed Sophie to tend to him. The closer the humans became, the better anyways. She hadn’t been sure if he’d lash out at her, so she kept her distance and allowed Nuallán to worry about him. Rosaria hadn’t said much after the whole event, lost in her own thoughts. Jomari’s words kept ringing through her head which she tried to ignore. The light elf trio’s sacrifice kept replaying in her mind and a deep pang filled her chest. Briefly she had clenched her fists and then had to force herself to take deep breaths to steady herself.

To distract herself she had called Princess Mikazuki. The news she shared had worsened her mood and had only temporarily shown her irritation and shock. Sighing, she agreed to meet them in Myriamor and had let her know she had three humans with her. Rose had given her words of encouragement and comfort. She knew this had to be incredibly difficult for her. Afterwards, Rosaria left the jungle with her group in tow and found a carriage ride through the woods. Once she verified the driver was not a threat, she ushered the others to join her on it. When they were settled, they took off toward Myriamor.

Now Rosaria sat with her hands folded. She had chosen a seat across from Jomari and had quietly asked Nuallán when they were alone, to remain close to him. She kept vigilant, but not excessively so she didn’t worry her humans. After a long pause, Rosaria finally spoke up. ”Caelan, Sophie and Jomari; are you feeling any better?” She eyed them each and inspected their reactions closely. Her gaze didn’t linger on Jomari so she didn’t make him feel alienated. ”Can you tell me a bit about your home and yourselves? Jomari, I know about your contempt for the ‘Spanish bastards’. Was there anything happy about your old home?” She paused and allowed them time to answer while she adjusted her bow and remained calm and collected. Rosaria did not dare to allow herself to relax, though she knew nobody could tell but Nuallán.

Rue

Time: Dusk
Location: Riverport
Interaction: @Helo Bowyn & @Omni5876 Arn
Equipment: Small backpack, two knives, rations, water flask, hygiene products

Once the group arrived in Riverport, Rue was a mixture of hungry, excited, fatigued, and also nervous. As soon as she was off the Helius, she moved to a secluded area and stretched her wings. Moony had stood beside her and ignored the curious glances. She grinned and turned to the gentlemen whom she had not forgotten about. Their melancholy moods, specifically Bowyn’s, were something she wanted to change. Her tone was light and graceful, but inside she was trying not to stumble over her words. There were so many people here…. ”So! Time to explore and also find food and shelter. I think I heard a dwarf say on the Helius there was an Inn here right? Well we should go find it!” She grinned at them both and turned to face the ocean. Wide-eyed, she stared at the sea and moved to the edge of the dock to stare down at the fish. Hot breath on her skin made her turn to find Moonlight staring down curiously too. ”An ocean, huh, Moony? Cool right!” She stood up and didn’t notice the Riverport citizens watching her with a mixture of curiosity and bewilderment. What were the winter fae doing here, they wondered?

She began to glance around until spotting a nearby store. Without a word, she strode over to the store and began to glance around a few light elves' shoulders. Rue waited patiently, then once it was her turn, grinned at the shopkeeper. ”Err, hi there….” She trailed off as she surveyed the items and glanced over at the others. She bit her lip, then pointed at the clothing. ”The Female dress please, a male outfit, and also the dwarf outfit, please… Bowyn, which male outfit do you like?”
