The stall that had only been occupied by Astra Myra and the two Orcs working it, had quickly attracted several customers. Myra absolutely shredding through the large piece of meat had sold Astra's performance splendidly.

Yes! Eat from the palm of my hands, bitches!

Astra moved closer beside Myra to allow other customers to order from the stall. She made eye contact with the Orc servicing all his new customers with a sultry expression.

“I gave you what the meat was worth right? Not an amas or two short?” Astra was disguising the renegotiation. She wanted to get things done as quickly as she could before the two brothers could think on the deal more. Plus, they had their hands full now. It would benefit them to just let Astra and Myra go. And that they did.

“Yeah. Every ama accounted for.” He nodded with a grin.

“Pleasure doing business.” Her eyes fell on Myra who was still eating. “Y'know, we make a good team. I mean, if Vrexen's dead, then we can totally make amas, get out of the way of all this war stuff, and eat to our hearts' content.” Astra beamed thinking of the life she could possibly have. Two young ladies on the road earning amas and enjoying life.

“What is this?” Vrexen towered over the two from behind. Astra whipped around

“We thought you might have gotten… lost. Yes. Because Aldrakh is a bit confusing. A lot of the stuff looks the same here and then the-”

“We need to leave this place, now. Pride is here.”

“Pride? Who's… Oh! The Sin-demon-guy. Wait wait wait! We can't leave yet. We still have to sell the hippocampi… and the sun is still out! It'll only get worse as it reaches the center of the sky. Not even a blanket will save you.” She pointed upward.

“Fuck.” Vrexen let out a low growl in defeat. “I don't want to stay here, but I don't want to burn.”

“Lord Vrexen, if you let me. I can get us away from here and away from the sun. You just have to let me acquire more amas by selling the hippocampi.”

“Do it. I don't want to have to suffer from the sun or the Sin… Myra bring your meal or discard it, but we leave now, sister.”

Time: Morning
Location: Rich Demihuman’s bedroom → Roof of a Roshmi house
Equipment: Dress and thigh-high socks(Slits on the inner sides of the sleeves), Black boots, Pouch with amas, Lipstick, Mysterious bag of fun drugs

Three demihumans were entangled with each other in a large king bed. A chandelier loomed over their heads and the ceiling was intricate with design. The room smelled of liquor and perfume. Yuka stretched her arms out with a yawn as she laid back against the muscular of the blonde demihuman. The sunlight shone through the curtains much to her dismay, awakening her as early as the sunrise. She pouted for a moment as she slowly sat up and assessed her surroundings.

She glanced down at her bed companions. Her eyes traveled to the male. She watched his feline ears twitch as he curled up sleepily. She traced his jaw with her nail with mild interest. Sweet dreams, pretty boy. Getting to sleep in a luxurious bed and to wake up to pretty people was always a pleasant yet easily achievable task. She wondered why others did not choose to do this more often.

Then she remembered she was so much cuter than everyone else and felt sorry for others for about half a second.

Yuka leaned over the female for a second and smirked down at her. She tilted her head as the sparkle of her necklace caught her eye. She began to undo it from her neck gently, shhing the girl as she began to stir. ”It’s okay sweetie. You’re just dreaming.” She said under her breath, petting her hair as she snatched the necklace in one hand. The girl fell back asleep as Yuka fastened the necklace around her own neck.

Before long, she was slinking out of the boy’s window silently and climbing up to the roof with ease. She stood up and watched as the sun rose into the sky, gracing Roshmi with its pink hues. Yuka could not help but giggle as she thought about the reality of the situation. Soon, even the peace of a sunrise would no longer protect Roshmi from chaos. And in the midst of chaos, she could finally strike.

Last night had gone rather well for Yuka. She had gone to pick up the antidote just as her new little friends had requested of her, but she had also decided to be extra thoughtful. The three of them were all so frighteningly boring that she had worried it was simply not good for their health, so she had gone out of her way to fetch them Skaula and some other fun substances that she wasn’t really sure what they were. If they were to be Yuka’s little helpers, then they were going to have to learn how to be more entertaining. It was too early on to start messing with their minds too much, otherwise she’d have to find replacements.

Her purchases had not been the highlight of the night, however. While she had been flirting with her very pretty drug seller, she had gotten quite the story. Blonde boy here had been sneaking into an abandoned house that he had usually sold his merchandise out of when he saw light elves opening up a portal that blinded him. When he could see again, a dark-haired man that looked like an elf with very small ears had come out. He had ended up seeing the man again last night hiding in an alleyway near Roshmi Square.

Yuka figured since she was up nice and early, the others certainly wouldn’t mind if she picked up a little something else before coming back to the tavern.

Xavier & Yuka

Time: Morning
Location: Near Roshmi Square → Hanami Designs -> Tavern
Interactions:@Helo Orias & @CitrusArms Aiko
Xavier’s Equipment: His sword, and outfit

Daybreak shone over the black-haired man as his head laid against the stone wall. Xavier was hidden in an alleyway, his arms crossed and his body in an awkward position. He had struggled for comfort all night, but he could not go back out into the square where those strange people would see him again. He had been hiding here for hours even before he had finally fallen asleep.

He was sitting up against the wall, slumped over, looking as if he’d been prepared earlier to defend himself. His sword was laying across his body and was within hand’s reach. He had pulled his cape over himself as a makeshift blanket. He was quiet and asleep. However the sunlight and the city's noise soon began to bother him and he started to stir. He hoped when he’d wake up, that he’d be back home, and it was all a terrible dream. However as he opened his eyes, instead of his comfortable, luxurious bed and the love of his life now next to him, he was greeted with the dark and uncomfortable alleyway.

Xavier grunted as he opened his eyes and closed them in denial. He was still dreaming, and he was not being carted off to the asylum to join Grace, losing his knighthood and Jessamine. His rumbling stomach interrupted his sleep and so did the birds chirping. Frustrated, he opened his eyes and looked around once more at the dreaded scenery, only to see a pair of magenta-colored eyes blinking in front of him. He soon found that a girl’s face was hanging upside down in front of him, her blonde hair falling to the floor. Looking upward, he’d find she had her boots locked around a pipe.

“Wow! You’re really still here!”

Xavier inhaled and jumped up. He scrambled to his feet and moved away with wide eyes. ”What -” He could barely reply as he began taking in the woman’s appearance. She was one of those strange people with animal ears. ”What are you?”

She jumped down gracefully and hopped to her feet, her eyes sparkling with amusement. Tilting her head, she looked him up and down before moving up to him slowly and gently moved his hair to look at his ear. ”Oooh… So I see.” Yuka took a step back and returned his space, ”I am Yuka. You are a human that has been summoned to fight a war for elves. They probably won’t send you back if they find you though if that’s what you’re hoping for.”

Xavier studied the girl in front of him warily. He held a hand near his sword, though he didn’t enjoy the idea of hurting a female. She was beautiful, he noticed, but it wasn’t enough to sway his decision to be apprehensive. He took a step forward when the stranger moved up to him. He was about to push her away when she moved back and started speaking. War? Elves? Summoned? What was she talking about? He was certain he was dreaming now but couldn’t wake up from this nightmare. None of this was real, he was convinced.

”Do you know what elves are?”

Xavier scowled as he moved away a safe distance and kept a hand near his sword, ready to pull it out of its sheath. ”No. I don’t care. Find someone to return me home or wake me up from whatever this strange world is.”

”Well at least you understand you’re not in your world anymore… Did they tell you anything when they brought you here? Guessing not!” Yuka glanced over her shoulder as she spoke. Soon, the square would populate with the townsfolk and possibly even dark elven patrol.

”No, they did not; I didn’t stay with them. I ran as soon as I could and ended up in this… place.” He remained scowling as he considered her. Xavier bit his lip and then suddenly froze. Had Rose or Jessamine ended up here too? He hadn’t seen them, but what if they were? Then he suddenly relaxed as he remembered only he’d walked through his door into that blinding light. But then he recalled promising Rose he’d teach her how to ride his horse after proposing to Jessamine the next day. Heaviness in his chest unrelated to his battle armor began to crush him. He frowned as he considered perhaps he’d never see her again - but they had sent him here, they could put him back, right? They had too; his heart began hammering as he angrily put his head in his hand then moved them away so he could keep this strange cat-woman thing in his sight. Grace… he’d promised to visit her… His heart ached even more.

Yuka could tell he was drifting off in his thoughts, but time was of the essence. She wasn’t sure how cooperative this guy was going to be. Well dressed, handsome and with an attitude, she knew she was meeting her match here. If he was anything like her, then he liked getting his way just as much as she did. Her eyes followed his every movement like a hawk. He was stressed and possibly more malleable at the moment. ”Come. I will take you somewhere safe so we can talk and I can disguise you better.”

”I suppose I don’t have a choice.” He mumbled to himself more than to her as he sighed. ”Fine then.” He moved his hand away from the sword as he scrutinized her. She didn’t appear malicious, and he did need help.

Yuka offered her hand out to him and smiled. ”Bet you hold a lot of girl’s hands. Might make you feel more at home!”

Xavier stared at her warily and rolled his eyes. He looked at her hand and stuffed his hands in his pant pocket instead. ”Whether or not I have is not your business and it won’t make me feel more at home.” He bit his lip as he thought more of Jessamine. Would she be safe without him? What if the kingdom was attacked? He scowled as he pushed it out of his mind’s eye.

She gasped and giggled. ”But I’m so cute! Well stay close, okay? Things are kind of tense here today.”

”Fine.” He replied shortly as he glanced around with uncertainty. This world was strange, but he was talking to a female with cat ears so what more could he say? She was cute though and he tried to ignore it.

She moved out of the alleyway and quickly out of the square into the smaller streets. She led him for a few blocks as the buildings started to become nicer and larger in quality. The people nearby became more well dressed as well. They stopped in front of a quaint shop named “Hanami Designs.”

Xavier followed Yuka, keeping his head down and his jacket up over his ears. He’d noticed his type wasn't common. He marveled at the grand architecture before him. It was something out of a book he’d read to Rose. He glanced at the shop and the name of it and shrugged as he entered. He hoped this wasn't some kind of sick trap.

She opened the door and leaned in, balancing on one foot as she called, ”Auntie! I’m home!” Looking back, she beckoned the man with her head, ”What’s your name?” Yuka asked as she moved into the well-lit space. Clothes were neatly hung everywhere, but no customers were present. The shop was clearly not open for business yet. The decor and ambience was luxurious. A woman with a tight bun of blonde hair and small feline ears came down the marble stairs gracefully. She was dressed conservatively yet elegantly. She paused and stared at the two of them.

”Yuka! It’s been days…Where have you been?” She approached the two, going on sternly,”You knew business would be slow with all this political nonsense occurring… Wait, who is this?”

Xavier followed Yuka into the shop with hesitation. He stared around the store with interest. Everything looked so neat and orderly. Then he jumped as she called for her ‘auntie’ and then addressed him. ”Xavier.” He replied as he moved into the shop more and watched as the ‘auntie’ came into view. He remained quiet as they spoke and studied them both. Political nonsense, war, tension. He furrowed his brows and crossed his arms and glanced at Yuka. ”Xavier.” He repeated again dryly.

”Oh Aunt Hina…You know how I can be! You have plenty of girls who come to work for you. You don’t need little ol me!” Yuka said in an attempt to smooth her over and even ran up and hugged her.

The woman scowled and did not return the hug. ”Yuka, your behavior is so tiresome.
It must cease. Settle down with a husband and stop acting like a-”
She broke off and focused again on Xavier. ”Oh he looks like he’s quite wealthy? Is this what you’ve been up to?”

Xavier’s scowl began to dissipate as he considered their conversation. It seemed as though this girl was wild. He watched as she tried to smooth things over unsuccessfully. With a raised eyebrow, he managed to chuckle and roll his eyes.

”Yes auntie. I am picking out my handsome lover a new cloak. You know the noble elven family that lives down the street. This is Eula’s son Xavier. He’s so head over the heels for me and treats me like a princess!” Yuka told her with excitement. She pointed at the necklace. ”He gave me this beautiful necklace that must have cost him so much, so I wanted to return the favor and give him something from our shop.”

Hina moved over to eye the necklace and then glanced back at him. ”That is quite beautiful… Yuka I’m…” She looked up at Yuka and smiled after a moment. ”Yuka I’m so happy to see you spending your time meaningfully. Any son of Eula is welcome here. Please, take what you need Xavier.”

Yuka smirked at Xavier as she moved over to look through the cloaks. Her aunt moved after her, whispering in her ear. ”His ears… They’re so short for an elf?”

”Oh he doesn’t like to talk about that. Tragic birth defect. It’s why Eula had to move here from the Sun Elf Kingdom. Remember she’d never say why and you’d never ask… Well that’s one of the reasons why. They didn’t accept him..” Yuka whispered back.

”Oh dear…”

Xavier did a double take mentally, but decided to go with it and nodded. He shot her a quick glare out of Hina’s eyesight but remained inconspicuous. Stunned didn’t begin to explain how he felt. Lying was against the code he followed. However he kept quiet and let the scene play out, seeing as it benefitted him staying alive. When the word ‘birth defect’ came up, he bit down hard on his lip. Though he knew she meant well, he was quite agitated and now frustrated by the events. ”Yes, it’s quite sad to think about. Thank you for understanding.” He decided to keep it short so as not to give away this annoyance. This Yuka irl was quite cunning and quick on her feet. He noted it in the back of his mind.

Yuka came over and wrapped a hooded black cloak around him. ”There you go my darling.” She kissed his cheek gently and turned to Hina, ”Auntie! Doesn’t he look so dashing in it! I am going to go change my clothes and I’ll be back down.” She moved up the stairs, confident that chivalrous. Hina had bought it and Xavier could hold his own for a moment.

Xavier remained still as she approached him although his mind wanted him to run. He gave her another quick glare and then smiled as she wrapped it around him. He adjusted the cloak around himself more comfortably and stared with surprise as she kissed him. He reacted quick enough to pat her head gently. His eyes widened as she announced her quick departure and glanced at Hina. He smiled charmingly for her and swallowed. How would one act like an elf? What was an elf anyway?

He decided to remain quiet so as not to say anything that might mess up their ruse or reveal his frustration. He allowed himself to gaze over the clothes and marvel at their unique and stunning designs. Silently he prayed that Yuka would return quickly and this “auntie” would not ask about his homelife. His stomach rumbled and he managed a weak smile. ”My apologies, ma’am.” He then added reluctantly, ”your shop is quite beautiful.”

”Oh Xavier you must be hungry. Please help yourself to some cooked meat buns I made.” Hina moved out of the room and came back with a plate of steaming buns.

Xavier took the food and cautiously examined it. Deciding it would be rude and unwise to linger on it, he took a small bite. The flavor of it was unlike anything he’d ever tried, and soon found himself eating more. He was hungry and this was rather delicious so he wasn’t sure what to think or say. He quickly glanced at “auntie” Hina and smiled after swallowing his food. ”Thank you. This is delicious.” He kept the surprise out of his tone.

Yuka soon returned in different clothes and took a bun for herself, munching into it happily. ”I love meat!” Yuka hopped up and sat on the counter to give her full attention to her food. She seemingly blocked out the existence of everything as she ate. Once she was finished she glanced up while licking her lips. ”Okay. Xavier. When you’re ready, I think that cloak should do the trick and we can go to meet my companions.”

Xavier watched Yuka return and forgot for a moment he didn’t know her. She had a way of acting like they had known each other all their life. She was quicker on her feet than a fox and sharper than an ax. He quickly looked away and watched as she ignored everything to eat. How peculiar but he didn’t blame her since the food was good but strange. Her friends? How many more people would he meet now? Dreading this, however, he kept a smile on his face and pulled his cloak up over his face. ”Sure m’lady.” He gave a quick bow and extended his arm to her as he would Jessamine. ”Let me get the door for you.” He opened the door and held it open for her.

Yuka squealed as she hopped to her feet,”Oh my gosh! Such a gentleman!” She moved to the door and gracefully danced into the street outside. Hina sighed from inside the shop.

Xavier bit his lip to stop himself from commenting and shut the door behind himself quickly. He watched with amusement however as she danced into the street. He sighed and quickly followed her. ”Lead the way and if these.. If more creatures talk to us, please don’t engage in more conversation. Lying is against my code.” He told her quietly once out of earshot as he frowned. He hoped these “friends” were moral people.

”Is lying bad if it’s for a good reason?” Yuka challenged as she shut the shop door. ”Don’t you think the ends justify the means?” She smirked and began walking back down towards where they came.

”Lying is wrong no matter what. You can get through life by being honest and chivalrous. Please do not make me lie again, m’lady.” He looked away with a sigh and wiped his scowl off his face to give a more friendly expression for the townsfolk.

”Chival-wha…? What a big word!” Yuka put her hands to her cheeks as she considered it, ”What’s it mean… I bet it means… BORING!” She laughed and skipped over to his side, ”Come on Xavvy! Be real. Being honest and nice just gets you taken advantage of.”

Xaveir turned to her as the peaceful air was now shattered by her rudeness. He narrowed his gaze at her and halted, wounded and affronted and not afraid of showing it. ”I think,” he began in a low voice as these strange animal-people passed by, ”that we have two very different views of the world and morality and decency. Take me to your friends and I can hopefully find more like minded people, or people to send me home.” He sighed, his frustration now rising, but not daring to be rude to her.

”I am taking you to my friends, but wait! I am super moral and cute. I can be moral and shivering… For example… It was really nice of me to give you that cloak.” Yuka gestured to the cloak and waved her arms as if she was showing off, ”Taadaaa!”

Xavier looked down at her with the same coldness. ”It’s chivalrous, not shivering, and yes you were kind enough to help me with this cloak. But I am not a fool, Yuka, and can see that you’re as cunning as a fox and sharper than my sword. “ He gestured for her to continue leading him and stuffed his hands back in his jacket. ”I think your ‘auntie’ had a point in there, m’lady. I am not going to lie. Please accept it as it is.”

”I know, I know. I’m very kind. I’m very smart. It’s all very intimidating to take in sometimes, but hey! Maybe you can give me some morality lessons. If you can think of a way to get out of a situation like that without lying, be my guest. “ Yuka stopped in front of the tavern and opened the door for him this time with a cheeky smile,”Look! I’m chivalrous!”

Xavier sighed as he rubbed his temples and resisted burying his head in his hands. He took several deep breaths. It was not worth their time to argue over the point. He looked at the tavern with interest and then looked back down at her. He managed a snort and laugh mixed together. ”Good start. I’ll tell you more about it later.” He then lowered his voice so only she could hear. ”Do you have a church here so I can pray for patience?”

Yuka held in a laugh, her cheeks blowing up with the force of air. He definitely wasn’t going to like it in the tavern. It was not the most moral place to take him at all. ”Uh yeah. Think so. I’d think you can pray anywhere though right?”She moved in and glanced around, quickly catching sight of Orias, ”Oh hi!” She led Xavier over to him. ”Look Koldar. I made a friend!”

Xavier sighed heavily and shook his head. ”No. We pray in churches at home. It’s the house of God.” He followed her into the tavern and glanced around with uncertainty. His gut feeling told him he would not like this one bit. What kind of friend hung out at a tavern in the morning? Good lord. He kept his comments to himself and followed Yuka reluctantly. He stared at the elf and nodded to him. ”Hello.” He glanced at Yuka then back to the elf “Orias” while analyzing him and his every move.

884 Amas.

Arn was still shifting through scenarios when the group he was expecting came joyfully through the door. He noticed that there seemed to be a trio where he had counted more. His brown eyes spied the fiery hair of the woman who had so pointedly introduced her knee to the elven man’s family jewels. The young dwarf made a mental note to avoid arousing her anger and avoid her knee as well. The strong looking demi human came in tow too. The male’s eyes seemed to be sharp and calculating. No doubt, this man had seen much action. He seemed much more capable when not on the shoulders of a retreating lizard brute.

The of course, there was the princess. Her elven eyes quickly found him, though his position so close to the door and being the only one not huddled in a group could have helped. Her jovial greeting made the healer’s stomach sink lower. Perhaps he could have handled a professional princess full of court manners and decorum. This would have allowed him to revert back to the shell of military bearing that is drilled into each recruit. His movements and speech would have been automatic and precise.

Instead, he was faced with a friendly princess whose smile was radiant, a true avatar for the light her elven people worshiped. The soldier gulped. He raised a hand gingerly in greeting and acknowledgment. The trio approached and Arn found himself holding his breath. Instinctively he leaned back ever so slightly as the princess leaned towards him. Perhaps there was some sort of comfort in not being too close. He shook his head at her apology for being delayed and the abrupt meeting the night before.

”What’s your name?”

When the young dwarf took in a breath to answer simple question he regretted it. Being so close, he could not help but breathe in a sort of sweet fragrance that could be emanating from none other than the princess. This realization soon brought a dark blush to his face, most of it thankfully hidden behind his reddish beard. “Umm…” He stammered as he seemed to have forgotten his own name. A wave of panic took him for a second and his eyes went wide. Clearing his throat he tried again. “I…am Arn…Thorson” he hesitated on his last name. What was he supposed to address himself as? Should he reveal his newly discovered parentage?

There was no time to dwell on this as the other two came forth offering their own introductions. The side conversation she was having with an interesting bracelet was not lost on the young soldier even if his eyes looked terrified at the red haired girl who introduced herself as Shae Though the lass put on a polite face, he could sense and undertone of hot flame. Putting on a polite face himself he nodded respectfully at her and tried to mumble something about it being his pleasure.

The strong looking man remained silent so Arn gave the man a nod, his presence helped stabilize him. He could not tell why but he felt a sort of kinship and understanding with him. Perhaps it was his lack of introduction that helped put the soldier more at ease. After all, it was believed that a person need not reveal his name to one who was not fully respected or trusted. That man would never have his name sung in the ale houses or remembered in a surviving friend’s stories.

”So. What led you to me?”
That small island was soon tested as a tumotuous wave of possible answers assailed him. How could he answer that question? Should he tell her that he is the newly discovered bastard son of the King of Ironhold? Should he tell her that until recently he had been living the life of a typical Legionare elbows deep in blood and gore of his brothers and sisters in the defense of their ancient homeland? Should he tell her his sudden jump into affairs his upbringing never prepared him for? Words came and went in his mind as wind swirling around a storm.

Instead, he produced the letter that had been entrusted to him. What did it contain? He did not know. The young soldier had been a faithful messenger. Who knew what fate awaited him or what he was required to do? He had only been tasked with finding the princess, delivering the message, and making himself available to aid in whatever way she required. A trembling hand offered it to her as if it was some sort of fragile fairy wing.

Finally, unexpected even to him, his eyes met hers. In them was reflected a sort of commitment. He did not know what the letter held but he was damn sure that from what he had seen and heard in his short time in the “outside” world, people would need him. There was a war about to break upon all of Avalia and his duty was to save as many as he could. If this was through teaching those that would aling themselves with the Elven princess (a quick flash of Rues lovely porcelain face appeared in his mind’s eye) or healing those who offer their weapons in battle (the reckless face of Bowyn appeared too) even if it meant he himself stand along side her with shield in hand, he would do so.

There was much suffering to come. He made it his personal responsibility to deny death his prize. The earth would already drink heavily the blood of friends or foes. Arn was not about to let his nemesis have their souls so easily.

Maeryn stepped off onto the deck, which squeaked and sunk slightly underneath the weight of his boots. Though the smell of seasalt and sound of chirping seagulls filled the air, the rocky terrain that greeted his eyes was not what as pleasant. Orcs moved back and forth through the open paths in front of him, towering over him in height as they navigated their village, throwing him glances at times. Stone and wood simple buildings were also in his vicinity, some with smoke rising out of them. The dark-haired elf moved forward onto the rough ground, glancing about as he paused by the crackling fire of a nearby torch.

He was no stranger from journeying to this area all the way from Malthemoor Kingdom, but he felt a sense of purpose behind this one like no other. This wasn’t a trip that he had been paid to this time. This was something he chose for himself.

As soon as the assassinations had occurred and it had become known to all that humans were to be summoned, Maeryn had made the decision. He had tucked his sons in at the house of Phinara’s mother and father, then had made his way out of Malthemoor by ship with only his daughter his side and a hunting dog that faithfully followed him along.

As the morning set upon them, he turned to his Alaia who stood behind him. ”Kind one. I hope you are feeling alright.”He greeted her gently and touched her shoulder, ”We will eat and see what information is available.”He beckoned her close after speaking to her, ”Stay close.”

Caelan was neutral about meeting another princess as Rosaria stated. Hmph. Another one. Must be a lot of them here. He nodded to Nuallán anyway while stuffing fruit in his face when the butler asked them to be respectful. He hadn’t eaten fruit this delicious in a while. Some of the fruit tasted new to him and he did not quite recognize each piece. When he looked up, Sophie’s pixie was flying over to the next table. He glanced at her as she asked them what she should do.

” What’s it doing? Do you want me to go snatch her back for you?” He asked her. He wasn’t sure what she was so alarmed about, but before Sophie could answer, the second princess was approaching them. She had white hair and a big tail like some sort of anime chick. Female Inuyasha. He thought to himself. He gave her a wave. “Hello Mika. I’m Caelan, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Raven watched as Kharne saw her and started making her way over, but it then registered what Kaleb had said and she glanced over at him. ”Oh, um, t-thank you.” She said to him with a small smile. Eris just stood by, keeping a pleasant smile on her face as things happened. The dragonborn was rather large, but truly it didn't phase Eris much. In her long life she'd faced many people and things larger than her, even bringing some to bed with her. One doesn't get spooked by much when you've lived 1200 years.

Raven had expected to be scolded, but was surprised when she wasn't entirely scolded. She gave Kharne a bit of a sheepish grin as he placed his hand gently on her head. "I know and I'm sorry, I just needed space. When I'm stressed out like that I need space and time to cope with things otherwise I risk an emotional meltdown. I figured going off and giving myself space was a better idea than completely losing it and having….other things happen." She explained, not voicing what other things were but hoping he'd understand what she'd meant. It had dawned on her back in the fight with the trolls how their magic kind of worked. It was rather stereotypical, YA fantasy magic that reacted to your emotions. So before she lost it completely and had a magic explosion, she'd removed herself from the situation. "I also ended up running into a friend of mine! This is Kaleb and that's his friend Eris." She said as an introduction, deciding to keep up the thing Kaleb started the night before.

"It wasn't a problem at all, she found Kaleb and we determined it was best to get her mind off things for a bit. I do have to apologize for not bringing her back last night, though. When the adrenaline wore off she was so tired we decided it was best to keep her with us and find your group in the morning. I did try to send a message your way, but it seems like it never reached you?" Eris went on to explain to the man, giving her own apologetic look. She also went on to usher them all to keep moving as walking and talking was more productive.

Alaia Riluaneth

Time: Morning
Location: Aldrakh

Equipment: Outfit, Two short swords, a belt with sheaths, flask, transmission bracelet, small bag with 4 large blue potions

Alaia hovered off the ship, going behind Maeryn as he stepped off the boat. She watched as his dog scurried after him and then glanced around at the orc-infested village. Look at all those depraved oversized disgusting wastes of life. How wonderful it would be to see this ground soaked in their blood. She thought to herself with a grimace. She kept herself afloat in the air, not wanting to even put her feet on the same ground as them.

Her father’s voice reached her ears and she dropped the grimace and put on a cheerful smile as he turned to her and touched her shoulder. “Oh father, I am feeling great!” Alaia said blissfully, fluttering her wings and throwing her arms in the air with a twirl flying beside him. “Isn’t this place amazing, just look at all their unique buildings. I am just so excited to be with you here! I wonder what kind of food they have. Oh! I am sure it tastes good! You took me for orc food once and there were lots of meats! ” She exclaimed to Maeryn. Like these pathetic degenerates would have any information. Their brains are likely small to make up for their bodies, they are no better than filthy animals. She thought before pausing. "I think we will find out a lot here. I am sure they have information at least someone must.” She smiled towards Maeryn. ” I know we can do this together no matter what!”

Myra was still eating when Astra began talking with her about both of them making a good team. While Myra could agree that being near Astra was definitely safer than being near Vrexen, she had a sneaking suspicion that her instincts might grow dull if she continued to hang around Astra for so long. Sure, she enjoyed the food, the shinies Astra traded were indeed pretty and things were pretty comfortable with her, but after a few days living that 'good life', Myra's body craved for the thrill of the hunt, the fresh, still warm meat, the sensation of her muscles tensing up before pouncing on a prey, the feeling of running after it... Vrexen was indeed dangerous and unpredictable, but being near him kept Myra's instincts sharp.

It was at this very moment, just when Astra was talking about him that Vrexen suddenly appeared behind her, much to Astra's dismay. Myra had no idea of what had happened with Vrexen before, but she knew that wasn't anything good. She could still smell the scent of blood coming from him.

Surprisingly enough, despite the things that Astra said, Vrexen didn't seem to be mad with her. Instead he seemed to be almost worried as he told them that they had to leave Aldrakh quickly, as he mentioned the name of one of the other demons, one of unsettling creatures Myra had seen back in Daka, something which immediately made Myra understand why Vrexen was acting like that. As much as she wanted to avoid meeting with the demon Vrexen was talking about though, what Astra said about the sun was indeed true. While the heavy smoke and the place where Aldrakh was located made the sun more tolerable, she had no doubts that if she got out while the sun was still high in the sky, not even her would be able to resist the effects of the sun... She wasn't sure if she would burn like Vrexen said, but she knew that the weakness she felt when she was back on the boat wasn't just because of the sea or the rocking and shaknig of the boat.

After hearing their words and agreeing with Astra's reasoning, Myra grabbed the remaining of the meat she was eating, holding it by the bone and approached both of them, waiting to see where they would go after offering Vrexen a bite from the meat Astra gave her.

Leaf starred back at Slick, his ears flattened back with embarrassment as the badass bounty hunting elf scolded him for catching a pixie. He seemed even more annoyed than Leaf had expected and even implied the pixie couldn’t breathe. Now Leaf had caught many pixies in his youth, the tiny pest-like creatures flew around just about every forest in Avalia, and catching pixies and bugs alike was just a game cubs liked to play. But Slick was acting like catching critters was some sort of a crime. Sure the middle of a fancy eating establishment probably wasn’t the right place for it but who could really resist the instinct to catch a tiny glowing pest as it flew about? Well, elves, probably.

As he slowly opened up his paws he quickly came to the conclusion that elves were probably far too proper to have run around trying to catch pixies or any other tiny creature in their youth. He sighed as the tiny, high-pitched screeching creature flew free from his grasp unharmed.

“I wasn’t gonna hurt it, see, the little critters all fine.” He said as his eyes tracked the pixie's agitated movements. “Your friend over there’s pet escaped, I was gonna bring it back. Plus it's mighty fun catchin’ ‘em. Like fireflies.” He added, a quick glance back towards the other party of elves confirmed that they were busy greeting Princess Mikazuki and might not have even noticed that their pixie had flown off.

Astra had been having what looked like an engrossing sidebar conversation with the Orc running the meat stall while she let Vrexen and Myra address each other.

“Hm?” Vrexen stared down at the meat presented to him, almost perplexed. Despite Myra's honest generosity, Vrexen showed reluctance. So used to a world where nothing was ever given and everything had the chance to be snatched from your very being. The red-faced demon could recall a time when he was once tempted by a gift. He had grasped it and held it in his clutches. Admired it and envisioned what he would do with such a thing. He could never recall what the gift was, but that mattered not. What Vrexen had held in his possession was nothing but bait that only made him prey to another.

“Ooh, looks like Myra missed you!” Astra cooed as she poked Vrexen's side which only caused him to look at Astra with a look that should have been able to kill her. What really died was her mood.

“Do not dare strike me again.”

“Sensitive much? It was a poke. Like a hard intrusive touch. So nothing to be worried about.” There was a bit more spunk in Astra's tone. “Anyway, I think you should take what Myra's offering. With a little more social development for both of you, you'll make a nice item.”

Vrexen narrowed his eyes and reluctantly took a large bite out of the offered food. The meat tasted quite well, causing him to hum in delight. Its deliciousness was the only thing that kept him from finding the whole ordeal uncomfortable. Then the trio continued towards the port while Astra continued rambling about Vrexen and Myra being in a relationship.

“You both like the same food, are nudists, and you found each other by chance... Vrexen, a demon from the Abyss, summoned to Avalia to aid a kingdom oppressed by another. And Myra, a demon who knows only of the simple pleasures of life, seeking adventure and has lost her voice by some circumstance to be later revealed! Now that would make for a good read. I could write it in a few decades from now. Write myself in as the bitchy friend that doesn't think Vrexen deserves you… Oh, or maybe I'm the mistress after one of your hearts.” Astra talked excitedly as it seemed she was happy to have the three back together.

“Astra… Who will we sell the creatures to? And what is that winged thing?” He wanted to change the subject now, but also seemed to have spotted something interesting and new.

“We're selling those smelly fish horses to the meat stall! Oh, and that's just a fairy. They're like pixies but big. Or maybe pixies are like them but small... Eh, we'll see more of them soon after we leave here.” Astra quickly answered as she referred to Alaia who was fluttering about.

“Hmm.”

“Yeah so I should have shared what I had planned, but you love killing things and I love making amas. Sometimes they go together but I work really well doing my own thing... Oh and Myra loves eating meat…” She didn't want to exclude the demoness. “Anyway, while we wait for our buyers to inspect our stock, I should probably unveil my scheme.” Astra appeared quite proud as the three finally stopped at the docked hippocampi.

“With you gone, Myra and I went to the market to sell that painting. Made some amas at a store selling all types of junk before heading to a meat stall of Myra's choosing. Now it didn't matter which meat stall she chose, Orc barbecue is always fantastic if it's not overcooked or deformed by an oddly placed hammer strike. Next, I persuaded the two Orcs working the stall to let us buy a large piece of meat with our service to advertise for them. Worked splendidly! And finally, with the extra rapport built, I struck another deal with the meat stall while you two made googly eyes upon reuniting. Pretty impressive, I do say so myself.” Astra smirked and softly rubbed the top if Myra's head like a villain that had just shared their entire diabolical endgame.

Orias spent the morning in the tavern; it was better than babysitting an unconscious dark elf or waiting around for Aiko to wake up. Even with just a handful of patrons, it was crowded enough to fend off loneliness and keep his mind distracted. He was almost fully convinced that Yuka either wasn’t returning or had gotten herself into some trouble. Both seemed likely as the demihuman was unpredictable and the city was sure to be crawling with dark elves by now. Just as he had decided he should head out and search for Yuka, he heard a familiar voice saying his name as said lioness entered the bar. He was a bit surprised to see she was not alone, although, really he shouldn’t be. Yuka certainly had a habit of picking up strays.

“So here I was worried you might be out making more provocative rooftop speeches and being slaughtered by dark elves but, by the grace of Solaris, here you are, and full of more surprises.” There was a hint of exasperation in his tone as he looked at Yuka, but mostly he was relieved to see that she was back, safe, and not in the hands of their enemy.

He glanced from Yuka over at the stranger she had brought with her, a dark-haired man, extravagantly dressed and wrapped up in a cloak. The way the man hid inside his cloak only made him look nefarious and based on the way Yuka introduced him as ‘look I made a friend’ told Orias that this man was basically a stranger. The stranger merely said ‘hello’ and continued to stare with an unsettling gaze and sour face. He returned the nod as a way of greeting the stranger but kept his attention focused on Yuka.

“Who's your friend, and why does he look like he’s about to try to sell me something right off the black market out of that cloak of his?” He asked, sizing up the shifty fellow that followed her and noting how uncomfortable he looked. He spotted the sword the stranger wore and hoped it wasn’t just for show, that man knew how to use it. “Last I checked Nabarra was still unconscious and dark elves are due to start their occupation here, well at any moment, so I hope your friend is here is prepared to help.” He added, keeping his voice low.

Equipment: 1 hunting knife, a flask of alcohol, a backpack, small tent, blanket, waterskin, rope, fire starting kit, lightmaker, cooking pot, a bar of soap, some drugs; skaula (8 grams) and zemak (a bit less than an ounce), rolling papers, and 191 amas.

Bowyn nodded, listening as Rue spoke. The trio they had encountered traveled with an orc, which was more than enough for him to know they should be avoided. Orcs were good for one thing, violence, and maybe, maybe, in a war that would have its uses but they weren’t the sort you could trust. Orcs took what they wanted and left destruction in their wake, and any group that kept muscle like that around was dangerous. But he didn’t give voice to his thoughts on orcs and further discussion on the shady trio wouldn’t do anything to improve the atmosphere between them.

The topic of Arn proved to be a poor choice as well. Although it had been fleeting, Bowyn caught the glimpse of fear on Rue’s face as she paused to think before answering. So he stopped glancing at Rue, kept his eyes fixed up ahead, focusing on every other face they saw, focused on a constant search for anything that could be a threat. Shame burned on the edges of his ears as the image of Rue looking at him with fear seared into his mind. As much as he wanted to blame that on Arn as well, he knew that was all his own fault and that poorly thought out apologizes wouldn’t be enough to fix the fact that he’d lost his temper with Rue, poked at long-held insecurities just to wound. It was only a matter of time before Rue saw exactly how much he had changed, he wondered how she’d look at him then.

“Breakfast, yeah, but after that, we should probably at least try and find this Princess Annya that Arn’s so keen on. I don’t know how long she’ll be in town, and if you were serious about helping in this war, we can’t miss our chance. Those elves I met yesterday are looking for her too. But, if you’ve changed your mind there’s better places to wait out the war than here.” Bowyn replied after Rue suggested they hang out without Arn. As much as Bowyn didn’t trust, or even like, Arn, the dwarf really was their best shot at finding the princess. Kaleb and Eris might be useful but they also seemed just as interested in having a good time as they were in the war. Even though Bowyn didn’t doubt Rue’s resolve he thought it best to give her an out, just in case. A chance to avoid all the ugliness that would come with the war, and to not have to see that Bowyn wasn’t all that different from an orc when it came to wanting to cause destruction.

Bowyn continued to keep his eyes away from Rue as he spoke. Eventually, they were outside the inn and into the hot sun of River Port, where at least the air was fresher than it had been inside. They pasted a couple of buildings on their way to the Surfside Cafe with flyers alerting them to some strange local holiday involving slime and a bounty on the heads of a goblin hoard just outside the town. “Slime day? Guess we picked an interesting time to visit the beach.” He added, wondering how bad this slime infestation could be for them to offer a reward for getting rid of it.

Slick kept up quite a look of disapproval towards Leaf that even he himself hadn't expected. It may have been his mood being sullied by princess Mika's comments, or perhaps he wanted to hold the young man to higher standards. He didn't know a lick of anything about Leaf, but he reckoned the guy was decent at heart. Leaf's reaction to his demand to let the pixie free only made the latter clear. Through his shame and embarrassment, he moved to open up his hands as Slick requested.

The outlaw had taken a moment to glance around the room, noticing a few too many eyes still in their direction. Drawin' too much attention, Slick. More attention spells more trouble. And right on cue, the pixie came out fuming.

“How dare you, foul creature!” Alette shouted as she pointed at Leaf with exasperation. She made sure to flutter closer to Slick, her savior from being captured and subjected to the mercy of a big person. “And you have some nerve! Critter?! Pet?! FIREFLY?!?!” It was a good thing the pixie's tiny voice had a hard time carrying or there may have been a risk of getting kicked out of the establishment … More than there already was, of course.

“Whoa, easy there. I'm sure Leaf is deeply apologetic for his actions. He don't have the best eyes and didn't notice that it was a lady and not a firefly coming to our table. Right, Leaf?” H didn't even bother to await an answer as he attempted to win the pixie over and deescalate the situation. “I can take responsibility for what happened if you just calm it down some. A precious lil' thing like you don't need to get so worked up.” Slick said with honeyed words. Alette was glaring daggers through Leaf, but she exhaled while taking a seat on Slick's left shoulder. She folded her arms and crossed her legs, visibly bothered but settled.

“You speak funny, but you seem okay I think.” Slick kept getting that from a lot of folks, but it didn't seem to arouse too much suspicion.

“Well, 'okay' sounds good to me. Name's Slick. That's Leaf as I mentioned before and we're with Lady Mika over there.” Slick had decided to openly add Leaf into his group for the time being. With a bounty on one's head, he couldn't just give Leaf the whole story just yet. The young man needed a better read. Though Slick did wonder if the big man, Uzul knew of everything that was going on. The thought was fleeting as the pixie spoke directly to his ear causing him to slightly tilt his head towards her

“Slick and Leaf. My name is Alette… and I will only completely forgive you if you provide me with food.”

“It's a deal. We got eggs bacon, ham, and some juice comin' our way.”

“No no no! Absolutely no meat, Slick!” Slick sighed and nodded silently.

“Well I guess I'll just call the waitress on over.”

“I want the fruit bowl Caelan asked for.” Alette requested. She seemed to have forgotten why she had even approached Slick as filling her tiny belly took precedence. Slick scanned around for the server only to spot her bringing out his and Leaf's plates and drink. His face lit up as the food was placed in front of them, ready to finally eat breakfast.

“Here you go!” The server smiled.

“Thank you kindly, but can I request one of your uh…”

“Fruit bowl!”

“... Ah yes, one of your fruit bowls for my friend here. A real angel on my shoulder ain't she?” Slick chuckled.

“I will get that right out for her.” Slick gave his signature nod and wink before the server departed.

“So, Alette, what can you tell me about our friends over there? Start with the lovely lady if you may.” Lovely ladies always needed to be known about first. Slick then looked Leaf's way. “How's the food, Bug-catcher?” Slick smiled to show things were still good between them.

“Oh, why Princess Rosaria,” Aurora began with a small blush tinting across her pale cheeks, “perhaps something just small and light,” she thought to her diet. It was intricate in its own right and generally leaning toward avoiding animal products. However, she did not wish to inconvenience anyone with her choice of foods. To be inhospitable due to a diet that was only invoked willfully seemed petty and unwise.

Yes, it was her first time leaving the kingdom, and in her own mind, she thought to be a little scared, if her dream meant nothing than that. She could have vouched for nothing to consume. Her father had warned her against letting her stomach rule her thoughts. However, it had been a long journey and only the beginning of the journey. There was also a temptation to let her will become too big and not support her body properly.

There were advisors who had transcended past needing certain stereotypical nourishments to continue a physiological health. Aurora knew she was far from such a state. She was young in her own right and for such a reason, despite her current occupational status, she still had to yield to her own powers or lack thereof. Talented as she was, Aurora was no prodigy, after all.

Upon hearing Nuallán’s thoughtful response, the Elf turned her attention, gently tilting her head. A relaxed expression settled over her face, erasing any blush that had been roused by her discomfort for consumption, "Myriamor seems to be filled with unspoken wisdom. Our journies through the land will be profitable.” Her voice was light and airy as she spoke, not holding too much to her own. Nuallán was a knowledgeable elf. He had much commentary worth obtaining. She felt comforted that he had attended with them, and she thought Jomari might profit from the remedies Myriamor has to offer, despite his opposing attitude. The young man had many worries interwoven into his expressions, and some of them may have been rightfully worn. However, she understood a greater power within him that was being detained by his desires towards being detestable. Still, she made no comment. It was not a necessary thing to make light of.

Annya was glad he had found her. Honestly if he'd gone out last knight the giant man might have found her as well. But Raven had said she needed space, which he understood. He was not exactly the most social of people and he needed to be by himself sometimes to unwind and recharge. She continued about the emotional state, so someone figured it out early that her emotions were tied to her magic. Or someone had explained it to her. "I know it was an emotional moment but next time try talking first? I'll see if I can convince Annya to get all of you the bracelets for situations like this." He said before turning his attention to Raven's new friends.

Leaning down his rather emotionless eyes swept over them, memorizing their appearances. Eris could see his nose faintly move, given his bestial appearance she could easily surmise that he was memorizing their scents as well. The giant clearly was not a fool, eyes could be tricked but it took a lot more to trick someones nose. Especially those with more animalistic sniffers. A moment an the word friend clicked. "Another, hm? I wonder who brought him over..." He murmured, more to himself than to the others.

They were walking and talking now, and Eris had mentioned something about a message? "My room was different from the girls, so if a message had been sent the girls had missed it. Not many want to brave the sound of timber creaking." He said, explaining why he hadn't been second on the message list. He knew exactly how much noise he had made last night, it hadn't been much to him but to those smaller it was kinda loud. Ismael seemed to sleep fine though.

"I also ended up running into a friend of mine! This is Kaleb and that's his friend Eris."

“Pleasure.” Kaleb simply said with a warm smile just before Eris made a comment that caused him to glance at her from the corner of his eye. It was just then that she ushered the group along. Good one… Turning his eyes forward, he made a note to ask about those bracelets that had been mentioned and even used by Kharne himself. They appeared to work the way a smartwatch did, but seemed to have some kind of hologram feature. It was definitely an interesting invention, but he’d have to wait until he was in the presence of trusted company to ask about it.

When it came to the new acquaintance, Kharne appeared to be a cool dragon dude, but Kaleb felt good first impressions were often planned… at least his were. It was your first chance to gain the confidence of another, and if you had that, plenty of opportunities fell into your lap early on.

The young man let the rest of what was said fade from his attention as he mentally prepared himself for this breakfast meeting. He’d be meeting Princess Annya, his first noble. She was upper class, likely highly educated, and also likely an alpha in her own right. A true leader. Would he keep up his act as an elf or be upfront? She was his best lead… his first lead. Got this. He gave himself an extra mental pick-me-up just as the group entered the restaurant. Kharne was first in, and though Kaleb wished he had been the frontman, he had failed to get a good look at the hologram that popped up from the bracelet. You best believe he was second though! Aware of the giant reptilian man’s tail, Kaleb made sure there was ample space between him and Kharne. All seemed well, but there was problem. A fairly big one. Fuck.

It was quite hard to look past Kharne who led the way to the table where Annya and her party gathered. He wanted to at least make a better entrance. Something that exuded strength and vigor. I guess he can just be like my curtain. Once he’s out of the way…

The moment Kharne veered off to the side, Kaleb stepped forth with his eyes finally taking in the group. Two women and two men. One, he recognized as Arn. The other three though… He thought quickly, using whatever stereotypes and prior knowledge he could grasp at. The dude is that other guy that got brought here. Ismael? Probably. Two women, one is the princess… R.B.F., short hair, cat-suit… Why those boots? Yeah that’s the sidekick for sure… Okay, Let’s get it!

“Greetings! Greetings! It’s a pleasure to finally meet you all. Arn, Ismael, Saoirse, and of course the woman I’ve been searching for, Annya.” Kaleb held a high esteem about him as he approached. He was a noble, was he not? Instead of the fish out of water that he truly was, Kaleb appeared to hold an air of comfort fitting of the fake pointed ears worn on his head. “I’m Kaleb and I’m here to let you know that I’m all in.” He said with a confident nod and a winning smile.

Shit! What was that liiiiine?! I should have fucking rehearsed this…

Location: Barboda's Ship - Living Quarters

After drinking and partying, Tigerlily had filled a tub with water to rest in. She had drunk a decent amount, though to her it was never enough. Having to be in the same vicinity as him, seeing him, hearing him, all drove her up a wall. She had kept her distance from the others when possible that night and had turned in rather early after finding a tub and filling it with water. It was large enough to accompany her in her mermaid form, though her tail did hang out the edge. She had feigned sleep for a while, as the memories returned whenever she drank or hung in the back of her mind. Finally, after what felt like hours, she finally fell asleep.

The next morning she awoke early and had eaten before the others. She had wrapped her cape around herself and masked most of her scales and donned the hat to shield her from the sun’s overbearing rays. It was then she noticed the schooner and the pirate ship floating to the east. Anger had ignited in her when recognized it as Captain Ardyn’s. Tigerlily growled to herself lowly as she folded her arms and stared at it. Captain Lizzie had pointed it out to her and explained who it was. Tigerlily paced up and down the ship, glancing every so often at the ship, and fantasizing about slicing the bastard’s throat. She wanted to do worse; maybe string him up to the mast as he did his siren and allow the birds to finish him off in the hot sun after being whipped. She watched as the schooner approached their ship with two dark elves and a fairy. How she wished to rip the dark elves' throats out. First however, fairy would have to be dealt with first seeing as the overgrown pixies could heal.

Tigerlily hung back, not wanting to be seen quite yet and interested in seeing how Lizzie handled it. She was not disappointed and let out a harsh, dark laugh, but wasn’t visible to the crew on the schooner. She caught Lizzie’s eye once she turned to them and winked. However the Rat spoke up and Tigerlily started laughing rather rudely again. ”Aye Rat, that’s exactly what we were hoping for.” She replied as she faced him with a wicked smile and eyeroll. ”One Rat for the price of everyone else's safety? Count me in. Let’s definitely give the ship someone who knows all about us. Her gaze flicked to Lizzie with a smile to let her know she was only half joking, and wasn’t entirely serious. Tigerlily remained neutral, ready to go on the offensive at a moment’s notice. She was itching, like the Rat, to fight, although her’s was more personal.

Rue

Time: Morning
Location: Surfside Cafe, Riverport
Interaction: @Helo Bowyn
Equipment: Small backpack, two knives, rations, water flask, hygiene products, new outfit

The discussion of the princess returned and Rue felt a mixture of eagerness mixed with anxiety. Meeting the princess would be an honor mixed with her job becoming more realistic. Hanging with Arn would help them find her and it was then that Rue could reveal the nature of her position. He was a combat medic and Rue honestly didn’t know enough about war or fighting to be entirely effective. Her mind raced again to Bowyn. How would he react to finding out about her job? A rebel group of Elves had ventured to the winter fairy village looking for volunteers. She didn’t pause to contemplate this further; she realized too late how Bowyn was giving her an out from the war if she wanted it. Rue remained quiet as she finally replied while avoiding the topic of Arn. ”No. I want to find the princess. I have something to talk to her about.” She knew leaving it at that was mysterious, and that she had her own, independent mission, one without the bloodlust.

They passed buildings and Rue scowled at the bright sunshine. How people lived with the bright sun and didn’t cringe from it she didn’t know. She glanced at the posters on their way with confusion. Was Smile native to the rest of Avalia? She glanced at Bowyn and giggled. ”Guess we did. Maybe we should help?” She looked up at the restaurant as her cheery smile returned. ”Well breakfast’s calling! Moonlight, I’ll give you my scraps.” She moved back however as the group from the previous night walked by; a hulking dragonborn she gaped at; the red haired light elf, male light elf in purple, and then a demihuman. Rue realized how much conversation might have to be expected and glanced at Bowyn uneasily. Healing people with gruesome injuries and the like was something she could do, but the upcoming conversation? Rue nervously pushed open the door and tried reminding herself that it was likely not going to be as problematic as it was.

That was short lived. Rue opened the door and walked in after Bowyn. The moment they were inside, they were greeted with the fruit of their discussion: Arn, princess Annya, a blonde female elf in a black ensemble, a demi-canine and the quartet from earlier. Her heart sank and then began racing and her palms became clammy. Holy cow. Was this the only open cafe? Rue turned to Bowyn with astonishment then turned back and realized she was standing there awkwardly like a lost dog. She cleared her throat nervously and stammered out, while nervously petting Moonlight’s head, ”Oh - pardon me. I’m Rue, and it’s an honor to meet you, Princess.” She gave a quick curtsy and then glanced at Arn and offered a small smile and then glanced at Bowyn quickly. ”Um - do you want to grab a seat nearby or…?” Her voice trailed off and she continued petting Moonlight, aware of the people gawking at him now, and trying to ignore her nerves.

"Please don't wink again unless you want me to puke. Also, flaunting your old age and centuries of experience means nothing to me but if it helps you sleep at night, call me humbled." Jomari told Rosaria in a very bored tone while looking around more at the eatery. He yawned and lazily waved his hand when Nuallán reminded him of being respectful towards this friend of Rosaria's. Honestly, if they're tired of keeping an eye on him then they should've just let him go and keep the other two obedient love-struck humans Jomari's with. He felt like a child being constantly reprimanded by his parents and he almost puked again at the thought of these two elves being his parental figures.

Just then, his attention got piqued when Sophie's little pixie friend suddenly flew off somewhere to a table. "Please do something about that weird talking fly. It's attracting unwanted attention and we don't want to attract the wrong kind." Jomari said to Sophie with his arms crossed, getting even more bored as time went by. Seriously, do people in Avalia have no concept of tardiness?

Finally, a woman with white animal ears and a fluffy tail approached their party's table. It seemed that this was the friend Rosaria was talking about based on how friendly they were towards each other. Judging from her clothing and mannerisms, this was the princess Rosaria kept yammering about. Jomari exhaled through his nose, disappointed as he thought they were meeting someone else entirely when in reality it was just another Rosaria but in demihuman form.

He didn't notice she was accompanied by someone until he followed her. When Jomari got a chance to look at him, he realized he had an urge that was left unsatisfied since coming to this god-forsaken world. Tall and mature-looking, his clothes and old-looking cape gave the impression he came from a faraway land but his strong muscular build and the various weapons he brought showed he was skilled in fighting. After seeing horrific monsters and tiny winged creatures, the man's green skin and tusks didn't deter Jomari's liking to him. If anything, it actually made the orc look hot in the eyes of the human.

When Uzul spoke, it awoke something slumbering within the human. Uzul's body language looked tense and stiff, perhaps nervous at meeting strangers? Jomari would be more than happy to help this big strong man relax and cool off, preferably in a spacious room with just the two of them alone, but it might not be appropriate if right from the get-go Jomari told Uzul he was willing to get tossed around like a flailing doll in the bedroom. He kept all of these thoughts to himself for now and decided to wait for the right time. After all, they always did say actions spoke much louder than words.

"Finally an interesting fellow. How profitable indeed." Jomari smiled to himself while taking a sip of his drink, suddenly thirsty for something. "Jomari. Nice to meet you." He simply said from his seat, nodding at Mika and curiously glancing at Uzul.

Time: Morning
Location: Myriamor-Bed and Breakfast
Interactions: Slick@FunnyGuy, and Alette the pixie
Mentions: Princess Mikazuki@Tae
Equipment: The clothes on his back and a pouch of amas.

“My eyesight is damn near perfect.” Leaf muttered, offended that Slick would not only imply he had poor eyes, even after witnessing his catching of the pixie, but to do so in front of a stranger, even a simple pixie, was downright insulting. What if the pixie spread such lies and they even reached the ears of the princess who lingered mere feet from their own table? Having displayed his own childish behaviors for all to see was one thing, but to have actual royalty think him a useless cat with failing vision would be a far greater shame. The thought that Slick was telling a fib to soothe the pixie never crossed his mind, only the thought that to insinuate weakness in his eyes was akin to implying weakness in his hunting abilities.

But Leaf said nothing more on the matter and instead sat back down in his chair and watched the interaction between Slick and the pixie, Alette. The feline first found himself confused, as it seemed like the elf was flirting with the pixie, even ordering an entire bowl of fruit for Alette, until finally, Slick’s motive became apparent; he was gathering information. “Apologizes Alette, I was never taught much in the way of manners.” Leaf offered a softly spoken apology to the pixie as Slick ordered the fruit bowl.

So they were bribing the pixie and prying for information on the private party of elves that Princess Mikazuki was meeting with. It almost made sense but hadn’t the princess basically ordered Slick to join her at the other table? And wasn’t Slick working for her? The thought of disobeying an order from a member of any royal family made him a bit nervous. Only when a plate of food was set in front of him was Leaf momentarily distracted from his thoughts and worries.

“The food is excellent, but why do we still wait here? Shouldn’t we join your friends, as she, the princess, requested?” Leaf asked, mouthing the word princess so that it wasn’t even audible. Although his knowledge of politics and current events in Avalia was rather limited, even he was well aware that Roshmi City had been surrendered to dark elves, and that a member of their royal family would certainly be keeping a low profile after such an unpopular decision. Although Leaf had more questions and a suspicion that Roshmi’s princess was here to align herself against her own father and dark elves, as he could see no other reason for the meeting, he said nothing of it. Not in front of a pixie, whose species had a reputation for talking the ear of anyone willing to indulge them and being so easily bribed with sweet treats.
