Make shit up for your character to deal with. If they're in a temple, you can have some old ass priest (probably an elf, probably racist) go sermonize about the blessings of Morganna and how you've been called to the world to cleanse her lands of the filth spewed by her sibling-deity. And then your guy can react to that.

This is more of a sandbox RP, so just do what ya gotta do.

Since Kenji was reincarnated as an Elf, which are usually a very intelligent, sophisticated, magically inclined species, and he was chosen by Morganna, who's willing to give her followers a more direct helping hand, it's likely that wherever he "spawns" would be somewhere that'll help him get his bearings.

If you wanted to expand on @ERode's suggestion, and on what @TheNoCoKid said about the Status Screen that every Otherworlder has, maybe the Elven Priest would be waiting in the chamber where Kenji opens his eyes and would try to ease him through an explanation of what's happening, and instruct him on checking his own Status so that he can learn what each of his Skills do. They might even ask Kenji what he wants to do with his new life: Be an adventurer and slay monsters? Learn about magic and become an arcane scholar? Just go out and see this new world?

Whatever his new goals are, maybe they could point him in that direction--the nearest Wizard or Fighter's Guild, or maybe they spot him some money to go get a room at the local inn. That kind of stuff.

I think NoCo confirmed that all the Morg-kiddos are reincarnated within the same temple, so failing that, you could just talk to others. Do the whole 'woah, where am I? Who are y'all' deal.

tbh I was also scared of writing more of Oriel because I don't like taking sandbox liberties in somebody else's building

If you're worried about taking liberties and doing something wrong while in a pre-established location, you could always just do some introspective or self-absorbed contemplation and/or testing. As with Minami, she was very confused about why her chest had suddenly grown dramatically, or why she was wearing a dress There were other sensations as wlel, like how her voice was different and more clear, as well as just plain louder - along with her senses feeling sharper/better. You could always do something like that, just focusing on how your characters react to their new form and the various changes they experience in said form as compared to when they were human.
At least until you get more information from NoCo what or who is around and you cna decide if you want to peacefully explore and look at things or try to talk to people, or go psycho-slasher and just try to wreck everything and everyone.

It is a sandbox after all. :3

Apologies for the promises and subsequent lack of posts the last few days. Life has been picking up on my end and I've been crashing from exhaustion as soon as I get home from work. HOPEFULLY, I'll be able to get things moving again over the weekend.

First update is posted. I have more penned out that should be coming soon, but work calls this morning.

Thinking about it, how does magic work here? Are there spells? How do we learn spells?

There's spells, ye. The whole point of Morg's Elves is that they're big on magic and spells.

Presumably we learn them from being taught them by the natives, if we have the genetic potential for it.

For the sake of being allowed to start the RP I'm going to have it that Oriel isn't as risk of dying without a plant, but all of her stats and skills are locked until she finds her plant.
