- Alexander Furst : Miscommunication -
Raising an eyebrow at this statement, he only sighed, looking down upon the girl with the eerie mask. It still jarred him, though that could be mostly because of the unknown. Clenching his fists, he glared at her as she made her accusations, his nails digging deeper into his palms until finally he released at the word "ghost." Well... at least she didn't dance around that one as his irritated frown started appearing more morose to the eye.
Of course, it was then he realized that Lynn was trying to avoid his question, which no end triggered him, making his scowl even deeper. He barred his teeth at the girl, but eventually sheathed them under his lips. The Gastly watched as the two shadowy tendrils appear out of no where and a fully formed pokemon emerging from the golden mask.
Henry didn't bother approaching it because of the devilish glean it was making towards Alex, but he managed to keep himself stone cold... if that meant actively getting angry was stone cold. The Gastly attempted to show the same aggression as him, but it only resulted in him looking less timid. Only after she introduced her dear Khata to Henry did Alex respond.
"Tch, right..."His voice was dryer than a desert dune as he returned the same look of disapproval towards Lynn. Alex arms were shaking, though it would be unnoticeable to the naked eye. After all, he was holding back. Eyeing the pokemon for a mere few seconds, he shook his head at it before returning his view to her body, somewhat perturbed by it.
Eventually, she tried to turn
his own question on him, which only made him decide to stop and close his eyes for the moment. Getting worked up and emotional wouldn't exactly resolve this. Her accusations, however, were becoming less and less accurate by the moment. Taking a deep breath, he continued hearing out Lynn's illogical and what he saw as ignorant statements. Opening his eyes again, Alex remained calm, or at least managed his vexation.
His white hair flew around as he shook his head when she accused him of running away from his problems... which seemed to really crack the boy a bit. Even she should of known that it was a lie, a ruse, a cover up! But even though he knew the words weren't entirely true, it still hurt due to the facet that she meant every word of it; Alex could tell from the disapproving tone in her voice.
Alex may distaste acting like a hypocrite, but he wasn't just going to let her turn this whole thing around on him like that. Dodging and running away...
"Au contraire, Lynn; that's what you've been doing this whole time," he harshly put, jabbing a finger through the air, pointing directly at her chest. Looking down on the shorter, well dressed girl, he sighed, closing his eyes and shaking his head.
"Then again, you are inconsiderate, so why should I be surprised." He wasn't frowning nor smirking, but rather just focusing.
Opening his eyes, he squinted at the girl, glaring at her between the slits, but that was all it. For the moment. It went for some seconds, before he resumed.
"If you aren't gonna give me a straight answer, don't expect one in return..." He grunted, crossing his arms as he brandished the one thing on his right wrist.
A gray X-Transceiver.
Tapping his foot, he continued on, but not before staring at the ceiling of the foliage, grimacing on this situation.
"Maybe if you check your damn messages, then you would probably know why I'm here... next time, get your facts straight before making yourself look ignorant on part of the discussion," he spoke coldly at her. Unblinking, Alex unraveled his arms, putting one on his hip as he muttered
"good grief," to himself.
Henry, who had been nervously been listening beside him noticed the attitude and gave him a small bump on the side of the head, giving him a quaint smile. Unblinking, he looked at his friend, giving a faint smile before dropping it and returned to his staring contest with Lynn.
"Now why don't you tell me why you're-"And that's when something completely out of the blue (and blue) decided to just... happen. There was the shrill screech of a gi- no it was a guy... who was being chased by a bunch of Poliwags...
...
Either these Poliwags had rabies or they were a lot tougher than they looked. Regardless, they were interfering with this pleasant chat at the moment. Pivoting to face them, Alex gave a reassuring glance to the Gastly, who was visibly intimidated by such a large number of them.
"Hey, trust me Henry and I'll make sure that not even you get hurt." His voice was calm and soothing to the pokemon, who slowly inched his way towards the boy with the long coat who was walking in the direction of danger... smart.
Setting his bag on the ground, the crowd seemed completely agitated and from the looks of it, stayed their focus onto the fleeing boy... hmm...
He had a plan.
Shoving his hand inside his satchel, he hastily retrieved two pokeballs from his sack.
"Get behind me and follow my hand," he hissed as he held two of the red and white items in his hand. He only glanced once to see which hand Henry was behind, before tossing a ball directly at the Poliwags, causing one to be enveloped in a light and go into the ball.
Raising his other arm up, he knew this would only be his chance since that got the attention of most of the Poliwags who were now angrily focused on him after that course of action.
"Henry, use Hypnosis!"
