Be an English teacher. You're also (assumed to be competent elemental user since you teach at the Elemental Academy) qualified to give either group or individual lessons about controlling the element that you control. Since we don't have any Avatar-style wielder of all the Elements, any Elements that lack a teacher are holes we would conceivably need filled. But yes, to answer your question, Jordan Manilow can teach Earth students for example, and Catherine has been teaching Air students, etc.

@Rabidporcupine he's new to the academy, and jeremys parents wouldn't likely remember or tell stories of a boy from 20+ years ago. If you live in the city though odds are you would have met him by now at least once.

Also, depending on how often he got caught up in their antics, they very well might have mentioned him a few times, considering how many stories of their misadventures he'd heard.

Sub-elements are fine, but you've got to clear them with Zel. But again, like I mentioned already, a specialization in an element shouldn't restrict you to using the other aspects of that element, meaning it still makes sense to pick one of the "vanilla" elements.
