Mmm, somewhere around 5 girls seemed like a good enough number to me. I might stretch for 6 if somebody really impresses me, and I'll also probably maybe allow one or two non-Magical Girl characters besides, depending on sheet quality and my general impression of the player.

Although, its kind of moot now. I've suddenly found myself some free time to work on a character. She's almost done, aside from the fighting style, appearance, and magic...
Can't decide if I want a majorly Offensive oriented short to mid range fighter or a heavy hitting ranged character that likes blowing stuff up.
@Black Alice: I'm glad my sheet looks good! I was just kind of on a roll last night and decided to fill in as much as I could. ^^; Which turned out to be everything but backstory.
Backstory is hard sometimes even when you do know everything about the setting. ^^;
And since I really love Nanoha-style attack names(hearing "Starlight Breaker!" the first time was really great!) I kind of went for something like that to name every single attack and spell and I am glad that turned out well, eh-heh.
So, if someone were to make a completely normal person who's not on a crusade to befriend all the things, how different would the sheet look like? Also, I guess I could ask what would you be looking for anyway? Gotta be quite the badass to be compared to freaking magical girls is what I'm thinking.

I would allow, say, an actual soldier to join in the mix, or a scientist with a bionic plasma arm and a jetpack. An adult would totally be able to use Magic, too, I just haven't made a full description for how that works yet.
Adult magic is kind of different, style-wise, than Magical Girl stuff (since their souls are weaker, and they can't really manage crazy large-scale beams or anything of the sort. They have to rely on practical, augmentation-oriented magic for the most part. There are also totally mass-produced weapons that operate with Magic power, like a magical railgun, that could be used by an adult magic-user if they wanted.)
@Black Alice No worries, I got your point. So, I have a new idea (Though, my charger shall be the same kemonomimi girl) for a background based on your brief history lesson and will work on my CS sometime between today and tomorrow.
Alright I'm going to be unique by creating a normal person, but not too unique because she will in fact be a she. I'll get to work on CS later tonight.
Kaori has bright red hair that has almost a pinkish tint to it, along with bright blue eyes. She normally wears a white dress, and a simple brown skirt with comfortable boots. She doesn't really put much care into her appearance, and her clothes often has an unkempt look to them. Whenever she goes outside somewhere, she normally wears a bright yellow coat. A small smile seems to always be on her face, and around her neck she wears a blue diamond shaped pendant.

Personality: To say that Kaori is...odd, would be an understatement. Nothing ever seems to bother or affect her. She's rather good-humored, and never takes anything too seriously, and can often times be a source of amusement or an unwavering penetrating, poker face depending on the situation. Calm, trusting, and she always seems to get a long with a lot of people, though some find her somewhat lackadaisical attitude to be a bit annoying at times. She's never been one for formality, and often calls people by nicknames she's come up with, either out of affection or simply because she can't be bothered to remember their actual name is anybodies guess. She can say some odd, but sometimes helpful things at times, especially if someone asks for her advice on something. She likes listening to people, and hearing what they have to say, though she herself may not talk much.
On the other side, her calm and mellow personality, lies a rather unmotivated and somewhat cold and calculating person. She doesn't like working a whole lot, and would rather sit on her butt eating nachos. However, if she has to do things, she does them with an almost frightening calculating and efficiently quick method. She's quite intelligent, and has a very good grasp of how things work, and is a swift learner in a lot of situations. The problem, though, lies with her motivation and her selflessness. She has no goals or a real reason to do anything. No real aspirations other than hanging out with her friends, eating tacos and maybe possibly kicking somethings butt or two in the process. How can Selflessness be a problem? She'd do anything for a friend - take a bullet or help them, and very likely get angry that someone hurt them, but when it comes to doing something for herself? She can be rather...unmotivated.

History: Kaori had a fairly normal life growing up. Being the second child of three, she was never either the baby or the cool eldest. Stuck somewhere in the middle, and not the center of attention or anything - exactly how she liked it. People tended to kind of...ignore her. Not that she had a problem with it, but it made keeping and making friends kind of difficult. It didn't help she was seen as kind of odd, either.
She made a few friends, here and there but she had never really felt something permanent. Most often, they only wanted help with homework or other school work. She was smart, but that was about the only thing she really had going for her in terms of personality and looks. She really hopes being a magical girl will allow her to make permanent friends.
Magic
Style: Mid to Close range fighting. She relies more on speed, evasion, precise strikes using timing and tactics rather than defence or power to defeat enemies - limited levitating ability.

~Normal Attacks~ Mid-Ranged: Gleam Volley: Probably her most used offensive ability next to Needle Shot. A a number of arrow-shaped beams designed to pierce the target are launched at the target. The beams are small, and don't individually do much damage, but dodging all of them could get annoying.
Needle Shot: Several short beams of magic shaped like small needles form around Kaori, and are fired at the target. Can be fired semi-rapidly. Second weakest attack, but still packs a bit of a punch. Can also be held onto be fired later, but can only save up to a max of ten at a time. All can be fired at once, after this.
Needle Burst: Several orbs of bright magic are launched at the target. Upon impact, they detonate and unleash several Needles in a radius from around the orb. Can be detonated at will, so they don't have to be entirely accurate. Could lay down a mine field as well, though the number of mines she could keep up would depend on her. Too many and she could quickly run out of magic.
Shimmer Blast: Probably her strongest normal ranged attack. She uses magic to cause an explosion in an area some distance away from her. A yellow glimmer is seen on the target area, before it violently explodes in a flash of brilliant yellow sparks a few seconds later. Easy enough to dodge, but be careful you don't run into one while dodging something else. It roughly has a radius of several yards away from her.
~Close range/Melee~ Glimmer Bang: After a period of charging Glimmer Needle with magic, she can use it to cause the area in front of the spear to explode with magic energy. Takes a minute or two to charge a shot.
She also is quite good at using the spear for physical combat, aside from her ranged attacks.
~Spells~ Flicker: A spell that she uses to dodge attacks - gives her a brief, but incredibly powerful speed boost that almost looks like teleporting to the untrained eye. She can use these quite quickly and in rapid succession, though using more than four or five in rapid succession without resting will tire her out quite quickly. Also allows her to levitate a few feet above the ground.
Fade: Creates one temporary decoy of herself that lasts for a few moments on the field. It is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. It can not harm or interact with the world.
Binding Ray: Rays of light tightly bind the target in place by binding the targets limbs.
Spark Flash: A harmless, but blinding flash of light is unleashed, blinding any who look at the impossibly bright flash. Even allies or herself, so make sure to close your eyes before she uses it.
~Special Attacks~ Burst Counter: Using the spear, she can absorb any energy based attack in front of her if the spear can handle the amount of energy. Instead of converting it to attack power, however, it instead gives her A temporary but incredibly powerful boost to magic and physical abilities directly related to the amount of energy she absorbed. This enhanced state lasts only for a few, brief moments in battle - a maximum of 30 seconds before she exhausts the excess power. She is currently unable to make full use of this ability, only able to use it up to a brief three seconds. Unless its to block against a huge, big, attack, the current benefit is not worth the risk.
Solar Flare: Possibly her most powerful offensive move. She gathers magic inside of Glimmer Needle, unable to move for the duration of the charging - which can take anywhere from a minute to five should she have to also defend herself during the charging. After it is done, she aims the spear upwards, and strikes downwards towards the enemy. An Enormous blast of magic blasts the enemy, completely obliterating anything in its path, often times most likely leaving a large crater in the epicenter.
This is a one time use thing. After its been used, she's likely exhausted all of her magic power, and won't be able to use it again, or be much more effective in battle after that. With further training and experience, though, she could probably use more than one in the future should she need too.

Magical Equipment: Glimmer Needle: A magic spear that is her main armament. She is quite adept at using it in close range combat, though against someone who is purely a close range fighter, she'd probably struggle somewhat against.

Other: She carries a diamond shaped pendant around her neck. It was a gift from both her somewhat of a delinquent older brother, and her little sister as a birthday present a few years ago.

Hopes, Dreams, Goals: Kaori honestly just wants a group of cool friends that'll have her back, no matter what. Aside from that? Everything else is secondary.
"Gerbils...I hate gerbils. I mean, have you seen those things? Look at it!"
Fears, Flaws and Anxieties: -Has a fear of Gerbils. Possibly other small rodents, but she loves Ferrets....and spiders. Seriously, she'll hug one. -Tends to freeze up a lot, if she gets into an argument with a friend. Often to the point of not knowing how to apologize. If its really bad, she tends to hole up in her room and not come out and binge watch episodes of her favorite anime. -Tends to go with the flow a lot. Even if said flow is bad. -Losing her friends. Either from small argument, or losing them through some other method. Nothing else makes her as angry as something happening to a friend of hers. -Her biggest issue though, is definitely the fear of being betrayed by a friend. Insinuating that a friend would do that, is just another thing that would anger her. Or, alternatively, the easiest way to shake her own faith in a friend...if someone has sufficient proof.
Going to bed now, so just posting what I have so far. I've been answering the questions without any real order, so sorry if some things I mention in any section aren't really explained yet. ^^;

Name(s): Lana Hazen Age: 13, more or less looks her age Gender: Female Personality: Lana tries to give off the impression of being stoic and aloof, but she really isn't at all, and that facade is very easy to break. In reality, she's somewhat quiet, but cares greatly about the people around her and quickly becomes attached to anyone who's nice to her (oftentimes more literally; she likes to hug the people she's closest to a little too often). Lana is constantly curious, and very interested in engineering in particular. She often spends her free time taking things apart to figure out how they work and trying to put them back together. She's not great at it, but she's learning, and because she enjoys it even when she messes up, she gets a lot of practice in and is constantly improving. Lana also listens to music near constantly whenever she's alone. Music helps her relax, and she frequently hums to calm herself down when she's nervous. In battle, Lana often reverts to her fake stoicism even around people she's close to, because she's associated that personality with strength, and she's most desperate to come across as strong in those situations. History: Lana grew up with her father and older brother, as her mother died in childbirth. Her father is an engineer, and has had to move around a lot for different projects, so Lana has lived in many different places throughout her childhood. She's still kept in contact with some of the friends she's made with each move. Lana is very close with her father, and he's always been willing to answer her many questions. However, since her father works long hours, a lot of her time was spent with her older brother watching her. The two of them have a love-hate relationship. They definitely both care about each other, but they don't have very many interests in common, so they've always been a bit distant. Lana's brother is also jealous of Lana to an extent, as she has an overall better relationship with their father and he's given her more attention. At times this has caused him to snap and act condescending toward Lana over minor annoyances, which has only served to worsen her inferiority complex. That lack of self-worth is a major reason she's a magical girl today. Being a magical girl helps her feel like she's doing something that can make a difference, and ties in with her obsession of convincing herself she can be strong. (WIP)

Style: Rapid Close-Range Assault. Her magic is built around physical attacks and pure speed. She can do very little at a distance and has very few defensive options. Colour: Orange
Attacks:
Construct Form α: Lana holds a bar in each hand and channels her magic through them to create dual swords of magical energy.
Construct Form β: She joins the bars together and channels her magic in a similar way to create a large two-handed energy sword.
Construct Form γ: With the bars joined together, she instead channels her magic in a looser, more flowing way, creating a sort of energy whip.
Construct Form δ: With the bars joined together, she channels magical energy from both sides, with the bars serving as a grip in the middle. Since she hasn't really figured out how to fight with a long weapon held from the center, this usually serves no real purpose other than looking cool.
Spells:
Haste Aura: A spell that allows Lana to think and act in double speed, which also serves to increase the power behind her physical attacks. Also has the unfortunate side effect of causing her to get tired out much more quickly.
Dash Warp: A spell that teleports Lana a short distance away in any direction. Used mainly for dodging purposes, but leaves her a bit dazed and forces her to pause briefly to take in her new surroundings.
Stabilize: A spell to help her keep or regain her balance in a situation where she'd normally fall.
(Name WIP): Creates a small magic platform beneath her feet wherever she stands. When combined with Stabilize, these platforms can be at very odd angles.
Delay Surge: Her only real distance spell, launches a magic orb that will briefly mess with the perception of time of anyone it hits.

Name(s): Corporal Alica Falkren Age: 27 Gender: Female Personality: At her core Alica is actually a lazy, careless, yet friendly and easygoing person who would care to do nothing more than simply lounge around without accomplishing a single thing. She'll support friends of course, although it might take constant prodding before she'll even begin to take action, make no mistake she does mean well, and doesn't wish to be so unreliable, that's just how she is. When it matters Alica is indeed an intelligent and very capable person, who will care deeply about the task at hand... if she would even get started in the first place.
Now, that's how she really is as a person, that honestly can never truly changed, but from a combination of her time in the military and a powerful force of will had sharpened her edges so to speak. Corporal Alica Falkren may as well be a different individual all together. As a soldier she is disciplined, hardworking, and will always strive to at least meet the call of duty. She can come across as off putting and cold, especially compared to her normally friendly self. In the end, however, she is still the same girl who'll rather find a bed than more work, the difference being she wouldn't act on those impulses.
History: Alica was never a Magical Girl, and never even had to chance to be one. While she had a strong aptitude towards magic, her soul was simply too weak due to unknown reasons. Her mother passed away when Alica was still very young, nothing tragic mind you, it's just how things worked out. Her family life was positive anyway because of her very supportive father and a loving big sister, so overall the Falkren household was a happy one. Alica's later years weren't eventful, if anything she was a borderline average student and cruised on towards graduation. After high school she did nothing, absolutely nothing but stayed home to sleep away her days. Of course after a while her father started to complain about how she was wasting her life, yet luckily for Alica he never dared to kick her out.
On her twenty first birthday... something changed. Call it a early midlife crisis, but on the very night of the celebrations Alica found herself questioning her future. It was a realization that she couldn't maintain her lifestyle anymore, that she wasn't content with her lifestyle any longer. The next day she made the somewhat impulsive decision to enlist into the military, with or without her family's approval. Eventually they came to accept her enlistment.
It was during standard health screenings that Alica's magical aptitude was rediscovered, and instead of being placed into basic training like originally planned, she became a member of the Magical Armaments Corps. M.A.C. is a section of the military that is meant to train adult-magic users, not including former Magical Girls, and to also further develop magic technologies. Over the course of the next few years, Alica was promoted to Corporal, and cultivated the dependable persona by which she is known as today. When given the opportunity to board the first FTL capable starship, she jumped right on the chance, seeing it as a once in a life time experience.
Magic: Not much in the way of actual spells, most magical energy goes towards powering equipment.
Style: Pretty straightforward, mainly one that involves taking that magical gun and shooting it. More specifically she is a mid-close range assaulter.

MA2451A Flak Cannon (Thanks Unreal Tournament) A fairly large weapon that requires the user to wield it with both hands. The cannon needs a few seconds to prepare a shot, in order to do so the user has to channel energy into a small panel located on the back grip. When fired the cannon releases a hail of magic bullets in a sizeable cone in front, and does have significant penetration power. These bullets are made of pure energy, thanks to military technology, and as such it doesn’t require conventional ammunition, although constant firing can easily lead to fatigue even for the hardiest of users.
Exo-Suit The latest iteration of combat exo-suits. This design utilizes state-of-the-art servos and hydraulics that unlike previous generations of the technology, does not hinder the use's speed and agility, although it comes at the cost of raw power. The entire system is powered purely by magical energy siphoned directly from the user, the drain isn't noticeable, but it isn't recommended to be used for extended periods of time. Underneath the user wears a full bodysuit that is constructed of experimental materials. In theory it should provide very light ballistic protection, but more importantly shield against harmful radiation that is bound to be encountered. There is also an optional helmet and life support system specifically designed for the exo-suit since obviously a normal space suit cannot be worn over, or under the armor.
Combat Equipment
TACT45 A completely normal, conventional firearm. Has good stopping power, and fairly accurate with a relatively small nine round magazine. Serves as a backup weapon in case the flak cannon is unusable.

Combat Experience: While Alica lacks in the way of real combat experience she has received actual formalized training fitting of a soldier rather than the Mock Battles played by magical girls.
Hopes, Dreams, Goals: To prove continue proving herself as a competent soldier, and to enjoy the experience of space travel.
Fears, Flaws and Anxieties: To be a failure, especially if the cause was from her own laziness. To never return home. Finally, perhaps her greatest fear is a simple one, but that doesn't detract from it's importance. She specifically fears becoming stranded in space.

Chloe is a calm and composed person, that may look hard to approach at first, but once you get to know her better you see that she's a big softie who just ain't that good at talking to others. She can be a bit naive at times some times, because of her unusual upbringing, and thus very prone to believe at even the most absurd lies. However, most of this behavior gets dropped when Chloe is on "battle mode" wherein she becomes a threat to be reckoned with thanks to her inhuman reflexes and perception as well as her skill at swordplay and short to middle range magical engagements.

Knight of Gales: A close to mid range magic knight style focusing on heavy hitting, magically assisted attacks, as well as strong defenses and high mobility. It trades most of the ability for ranged engagements in favor of gaining immediate and total close-quarters superiority be it on air, or ground, though this style is not advisable for underwater engagements.
Most of the Knight style magic relies on the usage of special magical energy cartridges (the same kind used in other heavy magical weaponry) to provide quick bursts of extreme power to the mage.
