Beatrice Decker

Location: Eden - Service Corridor
Skills: Pistol, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Stamina

Beatrice nodded, grabbing her pistol and putting her hair up into a ponytail. She then followed Lola out of the tank, taking the ladder once the Kiwi had cleared it. She wasn't phased as she saw the mutilated bodies that had been a result of her work with the gun. There wasn't anything incredibly personal about it - in a way, it was just business. It was what had to be done in order to survive - and in order to protect or avenge those she considered to be her people. They had to answer for that. In a way, Beatrice supposed, perhaps it was personal - but she didn't feel angry. She was keeping her emotional distance.

Beatrice headed inside with Lola, noticing how the flickering lights made the building appear like the backdrop for a horror movie. Of course, the lights weren't the only reason. She saw all of the horrors and tragedies that decorated her surroundings. She knew that she should have felt horrified, perhaps even a little sick - but it didn't phase her either. She had long since accepted that the real monsters in the world were human beings. Gambit and Lola were more than capable, taking out a good deal of Edenites. Beatrice smirked a bit at Lola's song. Her singing wasn't half bad - and it certainly was effective.

"Not half bad," Beatrice said, giving Lola an earnest compliment. She had her gun at the ready, intending on shooting anyone that wasn't friendly that came up to them. "Come on, let's move."

Jack continued to mull over Tiffany's words as they drove in silence, only stopping once they made it to Arnco Mills. His eyes widened as he saw the hordebuster in front of them, already convinced that Tatiana just had to be inside of it! It made perfect sense. She would have gone with Ash or whoever it was that was driving the vehicle. Ray was probably there with her as well and Jack let out a sigh of relief. His family was safe. He was still going to get to see his kid be born one day. His wife wasn't some walker's snack. He then watched in horror as a blonde - Riley - was flung from the truck and he let out another sigh when she seemed to be okay.

"Damn it, like she was tryin' to give us a hea't attack..." Jack tried to joke to Tiffany. He grinned a bit as he heard Ash's voice and saw him head on out, just waiting to hear Tatiana's now as well. But he knew that Ash was right - they needed to get the place secured and their resources attended to first. He just kept on waiting for Tatiana to climb out of the truck as well. He climbed on out of the car, grabbing what little supplies he had with him, before heading to join the others in checking the place out and getting it secured.

Matt "Woody" Abrams

Skills: Axe Combat
Locations: Sharpsburg, Stovall Street (B10-E11)

What a cold snap. Matt was glad he didn't have to be all bundled up now. As he was walking down the street, Woody had his plaid shirt wrapped around his waist. The red and black sleeves were knotted at his front to keep it secure. He kept a tight grip on his bloodied axe. With small patches of melting snow dotted around the place, it was a surefire indication that Walkers would be coming back. Matt saw this place passing by, and was looting the nearby stores when he saw a car pull in. He had gotten near to get a closer look. There was three people that had got out the car. Two woman and a man... who only had one leg? These guys must've been in trouble.

Matt tried to keep his distance as he stalked them through town. If they ran into too much trouble, he'd be able to rush in and help out. As Matt looked across the courtyard, it came to his mind that they still might need help. Hell, maybe Matt was the one that needed help. These were the first guys in a long time that he's seen that didn't seem like they were looking for a fight. He saw the antique store on the other side, and between him was a Walker who was banging against the window of the Toodles. Matt's grip tightened. He crept closer, until his target was just a few feet away. He gave a short whistle, just loud enough to get the attention of the Zombie. It groaned and slowly turned, and as it noticed potential food looking across at it, Matt swung his axe, the sharp edge burying deep into the rotten brains of the Walker.

Blood and viscera splattered against the window of the Child's Boutique. With a shove, the Lumberjack managed to get his trusty axe unstuck. As the body slumped to the floor, Matt looked back to where he was planning on going. He saw one of the girls from before, the one wielding the baseball bat, and a new guy wearing a flatcap of some sort. He walked over, waiting on the other side of Main Street. He put his axe on the ground infront of him and put his hands up in preparation before calling out to the two strangers.

"Hey!" Matt called out from the other side of the road. "You guys alright? I'm coming as a friend." He added, wanting to make his intentions known.

Alexander Polawski

Location: Hallway leading to Lust
Skills: Pistol, Navigation, Radio Operator

It was probably the military training and/or the traumatic experiences that kicked in to the old veteran. The unmistakable sound of singing probably helped with his memories coming back to him. Nothing said "'Ground combat in 'Nam" like a soldier singing his heart our over the sound of gunfire. Whatever it was, he was back in an environment that he knew how to handle, and grabbed the oppertunity for all it was. Alexander followed the Two T's lead as they pushed towards the enemy, keeping the pressure on them and taking charge of the battlefield. He began to move quickly to the left side, deciding to cover Thana's back as she headed into an hallway. And before him he saw another Edenite ready for the slaughter, about to come out of cover to fire at them. Alexander instinctivly raised the Colt, took aim and pulled the trigger.

CLICK

Shit! Alexander cursed below the fire aimed at him from his meant-to-be target, sprinting the last distance to cover. The gun had jammed, and of course at a terrible timing too. Things never were as easy as they seemed, were they? Edenite bullets buzzed beside Alexander, keeping him pinned down at the start of the hallway, luckily behind cover. "Okay...okay...don't panic, you got this." Alexander reminded himself, feeling familiar memories pass before his eyes of GI's fumbling desperatly with their rifles before getting torn to pieces. Rookie mistake; Learn your gun inside out, blind and with only one hand. Alexander had learned quickly, and survived.

Taking the oppertunity that the cover gave, the vet pulled up the radio and began transmitting to the other team. "Mugs here. We're pushing from the north-west. We hear you loud and clear, so watch your fire. Do you copy?" Alexander said quickly over the radio, before turning his attention back to his gun. It was nothing too bad, just a casing stuck. With a little quick effort, he got the casing free and his gun - hopefully - working again. Hearing Thana shout that the room was cleared, he gave a half smile and turned his attention back to the Grand Gallery. "Copy that, I got you covered!"

Amelia Payne

Location:Sharpsburg , Main st.(E11)
Skills: Sneaking, Athletics

“Yeah...” Amelia mumbled sadly as Guy talked to her. She was so beat right now. She smiled to him with an expression that only a really tired person can and shuffled her legs to get inside the building, barely holding onto her bat. Now that the fatigue had settled in and her body had a brief respite, the muscle pain was starting to set. She could feel her body cry out with each step as she made a few steps towards the building, but then a void called out. Amelia's tired body barely reacted as she turned halfway to see the new person. It looked like a lumberjack from some tv show or something... He even had an axe.

Amelia's hand hurt, she could probably do a single swing if she had to, but her legs were so weak right now and her arms were even weaker. She felt like she'd lose control and fall if she put her weight into a swing.

“Who... no... why...” She mumbled. Amelia never expected to meet yet another new person today after that event. He looked decently well armed with that axe and all.” Guy, what should we do?” Amelia asked tiredly. She didn't even have the strength to panic right now. Sure the guy looked decent enough, but no one knew if he wouldn't cause them problems. Especially given the situation where 3 of them were in frankly no position to fight right now. Well Sam had a shotgun so that could solve the problem that this lumberjack could be.

Ash Holloway

Location: Hordebuster -> Arnco Mills Safehouse (E10)
Skills: Leadership

There was still the matter of the Dead, though they were more sparse here than farther back up the road. The sound of a couple of them behind the house did have Ash's attention, however. They weren't getting any closer, it didn't seem, so getting his people behind closed doors and taking stock of their inventory seemed like the thing that took priority.

Pausing for just a second, Ash stepped back up and into The Hordebuster. Though she was not with them, Thana had left her bag in the truck. He intended to get it back to her, but if there was something in it that could help them all out in the meantime, he was going to leave no stone unturned. Ash felt fairly certain that a military woman like Thana would feel the same way if she had his rucksack, and he wouldn't blame her a bit. This was survival, period. But the thought of her did linger with him. Was she alright? Was she captured or killed? Should he pack up everything he possibly could and stage a secondary assault on those assholes in Eden, just in case?

See to your people, Captain. This is your assignment. The situation can be reassessed later. Damned voice. Damned logical, pragmatic Soldier's voice. He exhaled sharply. Yes, this was his mission. Tend to his people, sweep for survivors. Broach other topics later. This is what a leader does. Okay.

Ash's shoulders were getting awfully full as he slipped Thana's pack over his shoulder, alongside his own. His bow was in one hand, and with his other, he began leading Niesha out of the back of the truck. "Hit those locks, just in case." he said softly. A lock on a truck door wouldn't keep someone out forever, especially in this day and age. But with grates over the glass, it would keep them out for a while longer than not, perhaps giving time to address the issue with knives and firearms. The last cab door locked, Ash closed up and trudged toward the safehouse.

"When we get in, I need two groups. Group A makes sure this place is clear, one room at a time. Closets, hamper, whole nine. Every entrance and window accounted for. Tiffany, Riley, that's you." He looked to Jack, a man that might have just lost everything, with some tiny piece of understanding. "Jack, you and Niesha locate supplies and give us an inventory. Start with light sources, we're going to need them. I'm going to work on the finding and setting up the radio - check in with the other safehouses." Upon reaching the porch, Ash set down his baggage and drew his weapons, pistol and knuckle duster knife. You can't be too sure, even entering a safehouse for the first time. "And let's go..." Ash opened the door and stepped inside, adrenaline of "what could be" spiking through his blood despite his notable fatigue.

Thalia Carmichael

Location: Eden, Entry -> Grand Gallery outside of Reception on the left wall, behind a pillar
Skills: Stealth, Survival, Pistol

Gunfire always sounded different to Thalia when it was indoors. It seemed more personal, somehow. It was very personal in this instance, but mostly because Team Leader just used some asshole's neck as a sound suppressor. The real trick was that it didn't suppress very much sound. Worth a shot, though. For herself, Thalia preferred to use sharp things whenever possible. It was strange, giving it a nanosecond of thought, she wasn't the slasher type back Before (because Before was special and therefore had to be pronounced as if it were a proper noun). She was mostly a city girl. The uprising of Dead over Living changed things a bit, and she was damned grateful for every one of those training sessions with her family involving all things sharp and pointy. The Apocalypse let her use what she learned without moral dilemma; on the Dead at first, and then the Living as it was needed. What was scary was the ease at which the transition was made. Perhaps there was a bit of evil in her. Perhaps more than a bit. Or maybe this was the natural condition of humanity at large when pressed into a need to survive. Thalia wasn't military, that was obvious. She would stack her training up against theirs as it mattered in keeping alive, though.

The call of "Clear" from the side room was good enough for Thalia. If they were taking this place apart room by room, great. She just hoped they could find the armory, if this place had an armory, and soon. Thalia might not have enough bullets to go around. The sound of singing could be heard, though blocked by bits of interior wall. To begin with, Thalia wondered why in the hell someone would be casting their voice that loud in a mortal setting such as this, giving away their position and... ...and then she heard an element of a Kiwi accent. Or course it was Lola. She almost smiled. Crossing the main hallway, Thalia moved to take position in the doorway of the next room up. Thana was kind enough to clear the first room; it would be impolite not to return the favor.

When she got as far as the next pillar up on the left side, she realized her error in stepping out of the shadows. It was where she did her best work. Those accompanying her in this little endeavor were trained for this sort of thing, assaulting strongholds and laying covering fire and the like, but it was still sort of new to Thalia. Some experience is better then no experience, but the rookie mistake she made was assuming that the hall was clear. From behind the pillar opposite of the room she was considering clearing came an Edenite proper. He looked scared, which was both good and bad for Thalia. Unfortunately, she was not in a good position to use her blade properly, so before the man could raise his rifle, Thalia let a quick bullet fly from her new Beretta. It went wide, poorly aimed and in haste, prompting her to give consideration to getting a little more practice in then next time they had an overabundance of ammunition. But her problem was more immediate.

The man had ducked back behind the pillar, as she was tempted to do, herself. That was a defensive measure, however. They were on the offensive. No establishing a foothold or any of that stupid shit that she saw in every old war movie, this was simple "kill and move forward". They had the numbers and the home field advantage. Then again, they also had a balls-moron sentry who couldn't hide behind cover without exposing his knee. A grin cracked the ash over her face as she put a bullet into the guy, partially blowing his kneecap off. He fell forward with a sustained scream of shock and pain, quivering slightly in the dim light. The second bullet pounded hard into his forehead, not quite center but good enough to get the job done.

Her shoulder pressed against the wall, she risked a peek from behind her own pillar. The room she had intended to clear wasn't cleared, and she couldn't tell if others were holding position father up the hall or advancing. Thalia hated wasting ammo. And she was kicking herself for not getting handier with a rifle. "Need some covah out here!" she called, only as loudly as she dared. She didn't quite want to give away that it was only three of them on this side of the building.

Tiffany Lyle

Tiffany held out hope that Ray was still ok. It seemed it was only Ash, Riley, and Niesha who were with them. That meant that Ray and Tatiana were both still out there. As worrisome as that thought was, it also meant that if they could find these three, they can find the others also. So she bucked up and followed the others.

Ash took to leadership quickly as he gave out directions. A solid plan considering they weren't fully sure if this place was safe. "I don't have a gun, I'd like to point out." She did, however, have a knife, which she took out in preparation for scouring the place.

She followed Ash's lead up the porch and inside. Waiting for Riley to follow her, she stepped inside as soon as Ash opened the door, ready to face the challenge ahead.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Sharpsburg , Main st. (E11)

"Did you guys lose anyone on the way out?" Raymond asked both Guy and Medic, he just wanted to know if Tiffany if they did see her was among the dead or living. As far as he knew Tiffany was still alive and well, she was a survivor after all but he'd be devastated if he found out if she was dead. Raymond was about to make his way into the safehouse when Ray turned his attention across the street seeing a new face calling out towards them. Raymond looked between Amelia, Guy and Medic for a few seconds he wasn't sure what they all wanted to do with him.

"Whats your name, and where are you coming from?" As far as he could tell the guy seemed to be friendly, he didn't shoot at them or looked menacingly. Sam was the most recent person that they bumped into, so as far as he could tell Sam was a friendly he just hoped that Matt was also friendly. "What do you guys think we should do?" Ray finally asked eyeing the four of them, they could use the help as much as possible but Matt was also a complete stranger to everyone as well.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Hordebuster, Arnco Mills Safehouse. (E10)

Riley was glad to see that Jack and Tiffany had managed to make it out of Newnan alive, though she was really hoping that they had Amelia with them. "Glad that you guys made it alive." Riley said towards Tiffany as Ashton came up towards them with a bag of his own supplies he didn't know that it belonged to Thana. Riley reached into her pack and pulled out a handgun and handed it over towards Tiffany, giving her a slight smile. It was Chloe's she took her sister's belongings after the whole botched run to the funeral home, letting out a slight sigh and nodded towards Ashton when he gave them their orders.

"Guess you are with me." Riley said towards Tiffany as soon as Ashton entered the safehouse Riley turned left drawing out her crossbow and made sure that it was at the ready in case of any walkers. Riley headed towards the closest bedroom and entered it, opening up closets seeing that the first room was cleared Riley headed on into the next room, everything seemed to be untouched by anyone other then the teams coming over to check in on the safe houses. "Clear so far." Riley called out as she made her way towards the next room to make sure that it was clear.

Eden

Location: Eden: Between Entry and Grand Gallery, Service Corridor, Gluttony
Skills: Survival, Pistol, Close Combat Fighting, Knife, Hand To Hand Combat, Rifle, Shotgun, Brawling, Hunting

Thalia took a breath as she wiped some of the blood off herself and glanced around. She had been told a few things about this place and about the people that lived here but now that she was upclose and seeing it for herself it was a lot to take in. Anytime someone told her about something bad that had happened she always took it with a grain of salt. Not because she didn't believe people but she knew there were always two sides to the story and people always embellished some what to make it seem worse, people for the most part wanted sympathy. Yet in this instance it was not the case. If anything, she hadn't been prepared enough for when she entered the main building of Eden.

Why was this place still standing was a common thought right then going through not only her mind but Gavins as well. Than checked her gun and then scavenged the dead body. Why had Ash let this place stand for so long? Maybe he hadn't known just how bad it was or maybe he just hadn't want to put everyones lives at risk by trying to take this place down. Yet it was seeming like it wasn't that hard but then again, they had come in with a tank. That did give them a bit of an advantage.

Whether or not they had an advantage didn't matter to Gavin as he pushed into another room. This had to be gluttony from the smell of it. bodies lay scattered on the floor, all of them with overly large bellys. It looked like these people had been fore fed until they died. Whoever set this hell on earth up must have watched Seven one too many times. It made the country boy wonder if there was a box he would have to find a severed head in. After what he was seeing now, a head wouldn't be do bad.

Lola smirked over at Beatrice. "Thankies mate. Sometimes a gurl has to just keep swimming." A wink later and sure as shit Lola was sounding like Dory as he skipped down the hallway and behind the bar as she sung.

"Hey Mr Grump Gills
You know what you gotta do when life gets you down?
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming swimming swimming
What do we do we swim, swim, swim
OH HO HO How I love to swim
When you WAAAAAANNTTT to swim you want to swim"

By the time she got done swimming she had taken out another Edenite from the otherside of the bar, Gavin had popped off two rounds in gluttony and taken them out. He had heard Thalia yell clear and wanted to get as close to her as possible. Thana had made her way back down the hallway of Lust and spotted Alexander. Giving him a nod she moved passed him and started to follow Thalia deeper down the main corridor.

No reply. The radio remained silent as he was reunited with Thana back at his position. It could mean several things, but the most logical answer was that the radio was back in the tank. Why? Because Alexander could still hear their beloved Kiwi sing her heart out far off in the distance, having a damn good time. At least she seemed to enjoy it. While Alexander felt somewhat 'comfortable' in the situation, he wouldn't say he "enjoyed it". Then again, what was the difference?

Alexander heard Thalia shout from down the Grand Gallery, needing someone covering her. And he was more than happy to oblige now that Thana was with him. "Yes ma'am! Watch your six!" Alexander shouted back down in her general direction. But from who did she need cover? As he followed Thana down the Grand Gallery, he thought he saw who she meant; the three Edenites at the end. He only had a pistol, but he'd be damned if he didn't try. With the Colt un-jammed, he raised it towards them and fired at them, moving quickly down the Grand Gallery.

He emptied his the rest of his magazine, but it worked. The first charlie went down with a couple of rounds to the chest. The second fell the ground cluthing his crotch - poor bastard, while the last collapsed like a sack of potatoes after getting hit straight between the eyes. Alexander, watching his own handywork as he made his way to Thana at the left wall, couldn't help but remember similar scenes in the jungle. Of course there was a difference between laying down covering fire with a M60 7.62 and his own .45, the image of their machinegunner from LA stuck to him. Oh what he would have given to have a gun like that then and there.

Pressing himself up against the wall beside Thalia, he reloaded the Colt with a fresh magazine - the last one, mind you-, and looked at cameouflaged Angel. "You all right? Where you need us?"

Amelia was tired, she wanted to lay down and sleep until eternity was over, but apparently the world was denying her that sole reprieve from the nightmare they were living in and the additional hell they just escaped. Why was this happening to her... actually no she didn't even matter at this point. She was just a little spec of dust on the road, the world didn't care for her in the least probably. Her thoughts jumped to Riley and her unknown fate. Was the singer alive? Would she see her? If Riley wasn't alive, what was she going to do? She finally let someone into her heart and if she was to lose her, she didn't want to think of it even, but the way things had been going down, the horror was eating at her from inside.

Guy seemed at least somewhat positive of the situation preferring the more diplomatic approach with chances to kill if the situation required it later.” Alright...” She replied and looked at Ray who was also wondering as of what they should do.” Yeah... let's try being friendly first. Doesn't hurt us to try, never know.” She replied, moving a few steps back to lean on the wall. God her legs hurt right now.” You should come close...” She said in at least somewhat of a stronger voice, as much as her fatigue allowed anyways and waved to the lumberjack man to get closer to them.” We shouldn't be shouting least we attract needless walkers.” And better him being closer so those inside the building can riddle him with holes if he did something bad.

Beatrice raised an eyebrow at Lola's wink, before she shrugged. If that was Lola's way of making a pass at her, she wasn't protesting. Sure, she imagined that some people would've been prissy and claimed that they wouldn't do that - but they were all just human at the end of the day. It wasn't about loneliness for her - it was just a need that needed to be taken care of from time to time. It was low on the list of requirements for survival but it wasn't entirely at the bottom. Her radio crackled and Beatrice paused, before responding. "I copy. We're coming from the south," Beatrice replied.

"Kiwi, they're coming from the north east - in the building already," Beatrice said as she pushed forward, rejoining Lola. She spotted a hostile to the west and pulled her gun, firing off a few quick shots aimed at the head. Anyone who came too close either got a bullet in the brain or an elbow to the face. Part of the severity of the situation was lessened by Lola singing the entire time. It was comforting, that sort of crazy - but it also made Beatrice wonder how long this job would end up lasting. It had felt entirely too easy so far, but she had been safely tucked away inside of Lola's tank. The others probably had different stories to tell.

Jack Hudson

Location: Arnco Mills Safehouse (E10)

Jack took a deep breath. No one had mentioned anything about Tatiana - and he was trying to convince himself that was a good thing. No news was good news. The only news they could have for him at this point would be bad - he tried not to imagine Ash coming up to him and informing him that his wife was dead. At their wedding, Tatiana had promised that she could live without him - but Jack didn't know if he could live without her anymore. The walls of Newnan and the comfort and security hadn't made him soft. Love had.

He glanced over at Niesha, before a thought stuck him. Riley must have been separated from her sister, right? There was a ginger missing from this group that should have been there. More and more names of people in Newnan were popping into his mind that should have been there. There had been so much death and loss - and he knew that not everyone could've made it out of...whatever that was alive. But he wanted them to all have made it. He was a member of that community. He was its second - they were his people. He had to take another breath to clear his head. "Let's get stahted then," he told Niesha, drawing his pistol as he entered the building with the others. He was trying to remember where exactly the supplies would be stashed away.

Matt sighed with relief. Seemed the girl was friendly enough to at least let him closer. The lumberjack picked up his axe off of the pavement and jogged over, swinging his axe onto his shoulder and letting it rest there. He managed to get a closer look at the group before him. Sure enough, his suspicions were confirmed that one of them was missing a leg. The redhead seemed exhausted and the other two men seemed to be the ones taking charge. Matt looked at the one legged man who asked who he was. "I'm Matt. But everyone used to call me Woody." He explained. Matt waited in thought of how he was going to answer the next question.

"I guess the best way to describe it is that I'm coming from nowhere..." Matt continued. "I used to be with a group... until about two years ago. I've been wondering the woods ever since." He said. Looking at how worn out everyone was, Matt slung his backpack off his shoulder and unzipped it. Maybe it would be best to make a peace offering since he was the new guy, and therefore the new possible threat to these people. "I've got... three cans of food and about... half a litre of water if you want it." He offered, taking a knee and opening up the bag to show the group with a smile.

Tiffany took the gun gratefully. Happy she had a firearm again, she followed Riley as they explored the nearby rooms. Riley was taking the lead, calling out rooms being cleared. She paid careful attention behind them, less they get snuck up on. The last thing they needed was a Walker sneaking up on them and getting the drop on them.

So far, the rooms were clear, which was good. The quicker they got this done, the quicker they could settle in and wait. She was dying to know if they had seen anyone else. Or rather, if they knew of anyone being alive or dead.

They quickly scanned the bottom floor, going through the dining room and the kitchen. Apart from some heavy dust, dirt, and grime, no Walkers seemed to have gotten in. "Bottom floor seems clear. We should check upstairs." Would Walkers even drift uptairs? She hoped not. They could use a break.

Ash Holloway

Location: Arnco Mills Safehouse (E10)
Skills: Leadership, Engineering

The main room was clear, thankfully. For all appearances, nothing of the living nor dead variety had found its way in. Still, the next to zero level of light made things a little interesting. Ash wasn't going to feel quite right until he could get a little (and he did mean a little) light into the equation somewhere. But first, he needed to get his people inside the relative safety of walls and doors. Handing out tasks that brought them inside was an excellent first step in doing just that. Naturally, he already knew where everything was. He had set a lot of this up himself, or by proxy by delegating it to a Run group that was going to be in the area anyway. So long as the safehouses stood and weren't ransacked by other survivors, their supplies should be okay.

Like any good safehouse in a world infested by walking corpses, the old Newnan crew set this one up with boarded windows, thick cloth over the exterior windows, and even kept a few pieces of furniture on standby, covered with sheets. It was not a good permanent encampment by far, but it would suffice to keep the weather and the Dead off of a group that needed respite. But without some illumination... Well, one thing at a time.

After Riley and Tiffany made their initial sweep of the main room and moved on to the other rooms on the ground floor, Ash tucked away his pistol and quickly retrieved the bags and from the porch outside. Considering the nature of their situation, he made it a point to keep his bow and case of arrows on top of the rest, just in case. This was him at the more gruff and businesslike end of his demeanor. One step at a time: Secure an area quickly, establish a central area of supply, set up the means to defend it. The training he received as a forward engineering officer came in damned handy since this apocalypse started, and remained so now especially.

While the others saw to their own tasks, Ash made sure to do his part. He quickly located a recliner and pulled it from the wall, revealing a section of exposed insulation. He peeled back the pink fibrous sheets, layered between silvery, nonreflective material to reveal a fairly large grey-green box, covered with analog buttons and a single digital readout. He carefully pulled it from its hidey hole and set it upon the seat of the recliner he had just moved. Feeling around, the good Captain almost breathed a sigh of relief as he found a dial toward the top of its faceplate and turned it all the way to the right with an audible clicking sound. A single red-orange light illuminated the area just in front of the recliner, but just barely, giving Ash's features a warming silhouette.

The box itself looked very much like antiquated technology, something leftover from the late 80s or early 90s, but Ash knew better. The relay box was designed to be as analog as possible while still retaining the ability to interface with communication tech and link devices of several different varieties, all while keeping the piece of electronics easy to operate and repair, if need be. Its versatile features aside, Ash was just happy that it worked. He would not have been able to handle working in a repair job that evening. Nodding, Ash cleared his throat and looked upon the device with a sense of small accomplishment. It was something. Feeling around in the hollow that had contained the relay, Ash produced a set of walkies, a battery pack, and three bundles of wires. They were on the right track.

With nothing amiss being reported from his group, Ash risked using his voice a little. "I need some light over here."

Thalia Carmichael

Location: Eden, Grand Gallery outside of Reception on the left wall, behind a pillar
Skills: Stealth, Survival, Pistol

A partially confused, partially impressed look came over Thalia after she heard the report of a large bore pistol repeating several times before ceasing, followed by the gurgling screams of the locals and sounds of three bodies slumping hard to the floor. She risked a peek to get her bearings and received an eyeful of fresh Edenite corpses where the three she spotted earlier used to be. Thalia's head whipped back around to Alexander, then to the pile of dead guys, and again to Alexander. "I asked for covah, Mugsy." A rare smile cracked her features. "But this works okay."

It appeared that they had gotten to the part of their adventure where quiet and blades were becoming of less use to their operation, which sadly meant that her own usefulness was flagging. Having a specific zone of competence, even to the point of specialization, made someone marketable. Or it used to, back before dead people started to roam the countryside. Anymore, a lack of broad competence could get you killed. This was a lesson that she had damn near paid for with her life some three or four years ago. Were it not for the survivors in Fairburn, she would have. Lesson learned. She missed her friends in that faux medieval town, and was heartbroken to hear of the death of two people important to her. Deaths for which these people were indirectly responsible. "Sons of bitches..." she growled, thinking back to James's description of how Bridgette died. At least Astrid showed her axepoint mercy, before succumbing herself. That thought was enough to break her out of her momentary mental rut.

Even before the Apocalypse, she worked for her uncle's security company. This meant a few things for her earlier education, not the least of which being that she was rated in, and had tons of practice with, small arms. Pistols mostly, in her case. She was firing handguns before she began developing an interest in boys, and while she was not a soldier in the classical sense, Thalia was pretty damned good. There was a room to clear.

Thalia jutted her head into the doorway of what appeared to be a reception room for the barest hint of a second. She overtly caught sight of two men ducked behind what appeared to be a receiving desk, using it for soft cover. Or hard cover. Hell, she didn't know, maybe it was mahogany. Either way, she couldn't reliably put a 9mm bullet through it and aerate the men behind, so another option was necessary. She kind of wished she had some grenades. Would have made it simpler.

The Edenites were waiting for someone to walk through the door, and gave response with the report of small arms. That was highly counterproductive to her killing them. Highly. And as much as she despised wasting bullets, suppressive fire was needed in this instance. Thalia stuck her new Beretta just inside of the doorway and fired off two rounds blindly at the desk. Whether they hit or not was anybody's guess, but it was enough to make the hostile gunfire cease and, she hoped, the men retreat behind their (possible) mahogany cover. Pressing the advantage, the rogue Gonzalez stepped fully into the room, pausing fire for a half second to see if any whack-a-moles popped up. Calculated risk. They could re-open fire and make her life painfully short. But she knew where they were, they did not know that she was in the room with them. She approached at a solid walk.

Sure enough, one scalp of dark hair began to rise from behind the desk, practically begging for Thalia to insert a bullet at high velocity. She obliged. The guy's partner declined a similar offer with his reluctance to make himself available for immediate execution (demonstrating powerfully bad manners in the process), prompting Thalia to leap upon the desk bodily and put two more of her precious bullets to use.

"Clear." she spoke aloud, mimicking Thana from earlier.

If this was a reception room, then there had to be offices and storage nearby. Maybe the armory was around this place. It was as good a place as any to start.

Raymond Mendoza

Location: Sharpsburg , Main st. (E11)
Skills: N/A

Raymond looked towards Amelia when she allowed Matt or Woody as he preferred to be called by the sounds of it, he simply nodded towards his friend. Then the man came running up towards them across the street, it was better than yelling across the street that would end up drawing some attention to Walkers. "I'm Raymond, you can call me Ray if you'd like totally up to you." He said as he introduced himself then gestured towards Amelia, Guy. "That's Amelia, and Guy." He watched Matt opening his pack to reveal some food that he had been carrying in there.

Though it was a good gesture Raymond was getting the feeling that the guy was friendly and didn't mean them any harm which was good, he then shook his head slightly. "We are good, thanks for the offer though we have some of our own stuff." Ray said, he didn't want to take any of Matt's supplies he wasn't sure if he was going to stick around or not. "We should head inside the safehouse." Ray said looking over towards Guy and Medic, it seemed that they had already secured the area well enough which was good. Ray then slowly started making his way towards the building.

Riley Ridgeway

Location: Hordebuster, Arnco Mills Safehouse. (E10)
Skills: N/A

Riley looked over her shoulder towards Tiffany and gave her a nod as she turned around and started to make her way towards the second floor of the house. Riley opened the closest bedroom, and started to do her quick sweep of the room, even checking the closet as well, she was glad that she didn't see any other walkers there either. "And we are clear here as well." Riley said as she started to make her way down towards the stairs, seeing as Ashton took out what looked like some kind of radio there. Riley noticed the light going on, which she assumed was working which was a good thing.

Riley then took her flash light and turned it on Ashton as she made her way over towards the bossman, she was curious what he was doing, and hoped that there were more who made it out alive. "What else do you want us to do?" Riley finally asked as she adjusted her hair to get out of her face. "The house is cleared, no walkers at all." Riley also said giving him her report, she'd occasionally look over towards Tiffany she was curious how they all managed to get out of town all alive and in one piece as well. "How are you holding up by the way?" Riley finally asked her.

Eden

Location: Eden: West hallway around south and now going north, Greed, Greed
Skills: Survival, Pistol, Close Combat Fighting, Knife, Hand To Hand Combat, Rifle, Shotgun, Brawling, Hunting

"There's my banging Bea," Lola said as Beatrice came up to her. This was a right fun good time as far as the girl from down under and to the east was concerned. Granted those Kiki's were said to be a little out of their right mind and to the left as it were. Now they weren't up as hard as the Aussies, there were a lot fewer things trying to kill you out in New Zealand than on what they called the mainland but there was much more to do and much higher cliffs. Seemed depending on where you were was a defining factor of you insanity. And Lola had taken more than her fair share, it seemed half the time she had taken second helpings at the Crazygiving dinner. Maybe that happened because they didn't have Thanksgiving there.

Then again, Lola wasn't the only crazy one in the group. Seemed that they had their fair share. Sure Thalia and Thana seemed normal enough but each looked to have their own hang ups. Alexander, now he was a Nam vet. It was doubtful anyone got out of that war without having a few screws loose. Beatrice seemed to have a thing or two about her as well. They all had to be a bit off their rocker to team up with the Tank Girl and Cowboy. Cowboy, now there was a man that seemed a little further gone than the rest of them. Not in your conventional type of crazy. the type that was fun to watch and hang out with. Right then the darker part of insanity was rearing it's ugly head inside the mind of the good ol' country boy.

Thana wasn't thinking about that though. She had had her sights on a few Edenites to pop off but it seemed that Alexander and Thalia had both done a good job clearing the way. The normal course of action now, for anyone that had served more than five minutes in any branch of any military would be to catch up to the others, take her turn taking the lead, and pushing forward to provide cover for them. Yet it seemed that even though the woman was an officer she wasn't going to follow standard procedure. Hearing the word clear only made her duck down the hallway to her left and around west towards the next hallway. She had other plans right then.

Lola heard the clear as well and she grinned. Seemed that things were going well. Bullets were getting fired off and the voices of the others could still be heard. Well at least one of them. so hey, that was good. Meant at least four of them were still standing. Not bad for as many as had been knocked off so far. It was time for another song!

The woman seemed to have an endless supply of songs to sing but hey, at least it wan't Cole Porter. For now. The songs might have been starting to get annoying to some but Gavin was okay with it. It was making sneaking up on people a lot easier because their attention was always turned to where the noise was coming from. As long as he kept quiet as he snuck up on someone that was. And he did, taking out another one and dropping them as he made his way to Greed. Granted Lola wasn't far behind him and managed to get to the other side of the room as he dropped the body.

Thana was enjoying the diversion as well as she popped off a single round and placed a bullet in the back of a mans head as he peaked out of one of the room in the hallway. Walking up to him she started checking him and picked up his Walkie. "Hopes you right with Jesus fuckers, cause Mama don't plays," she said, letting her full accent come out. It didn't sound like her, it sounded like her long dead sister and it rang out on all the Edenites walkies. Anyone within twenty feet of one heard it.

Amelia Payne

Location:Sharpsburg , Main st.(E11)
Skills: Sneaking, Athletics

“Hi.” She greeted after Ray had introduced her and then continued speaking.” You've been in the woods for a really long time then.” Amelia said with a friendly voice.” Must have been hard.” She added with a nod.” Thank you for the gesture, but as the others said it's fine to keep them. You found them after all, we aren't marauders or thieves.” She finally said and nodded to the rest as they said that it would be for the best to get inside.” I'm heading in...” She said quietly and staggered inside in tired manner, barely keeping hold of her bat and entered the sturdy building.

On the inside she saw Medic and Sam, she smiled at them before her gaze passed across the place, studying the interior. She wanted to locate a place to rest as soon as possible and what would you know there was a broken down old couch of sorts and some sleeping bags lined up. She took a few steps and then slowly staggered to the couch, sitting down.

The couch started creaking the moment she did so. Springs and wood, it felt like a really old furniture like the ones her grandparents had. She never liked going to her grandparents, but the furniture always creaked in unnerving ways.” Too tired...” She mumbled and looked at Medic.” I will take some sleep... wake me if something happens.” Amelia mumbled and laid down on the couch, having it creaking ever more, but she didn't care. She just wanted to stay like this without moving on something soft." I don't want to move for at least a year..." She whispered to herself, feeling the( relative) comfort heal her tired soul.

Alexander Polawski

Location: Left side of Grand Gallery, alongside Thalia --> First hallway to the north-east
Skills: Navigation

Alexander couldn't help but shoot a quick smile at Thalia himself after she seemed fine with his work. It was an rare instance of appreciation he would cherish, but perhaps at a latter date. For now he was satisfied with her smile and turned back to the task at hand; Taking down this hellhole they called Eden. And then the radio crackled back to life, hopefully a good sign as Lola's singing. Alexander pulled up the radio and heard the voice of Beatrice...maybe? He wasn't sure. It certainly wasn't Kiwi on the radio, and it was the cowboy either, so that left the other lady, if he had gotten her name right back at the meet-up.

They were coming from the south. Which was fine by him, meaning that their 3 and 6 were - probably - covered. Their 9 too, perhaps, now that Thana was out of sight. Even if he didn't like losing sight of her, he was not too worried. But he shot Thalia a brief look of concern when he heard her swear, as if something was wrong. Sure, what wasn't wrong in this time and age, but he still wondered what she was thinking about. But he let it rest, deciding to cover her back as she went into another room and did her thing.

Shortly after when Thalia gave the All Clear, Alexander decided to push up. Little use in bunkering down when the others were on the move too. Sooner or later they would have to group up again, but that was always better on the offensive than on the defensive. So when he heard Lola's break out in song again, this time with Kool & The Gang, he found his oppertunity. Holding his Colt up and aimed down the Grand Gallery, Alexander quickly made his way down the long strip of hall. When he came to the hallway on his left side, he nearly jumped in and took cover at the wall. He heard more gunfire, but nothing aimed at him. So far he still had that fresh magazine, but soon that too would probably be empty. Luckily he still had his other gun. Hopefully that one would be just as effective.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Eden - Greed
Skills: Pistol, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Stamina

Banging Bea? She raised an eyebrow, though she supposed that she had heard worse. The only name she truly hated being called had been Double Decker - an unfortunate nickname that she had gotten in high school, after one of her classmates had watched a movie about a vacation to London. She preferred Trixie to that nickname and in her mind, Trixie was a prostitute's name - or an animated cartoon character. Either way, it didn't quite suit her personality. She then smirked as Lola burst into song once more, they did seem to be clearing these rooms rather quickly. It struck her as a bit pathetic on Eden's part. This was their center of operations and a small group of crazies were slaughtering them. How had they managed to be such a threat like this?

It gave her a slight feeling of dread. The only thing that made sense to her was that they hadn't found Eden's true stronghold yet. Sure, a lot of them had been killed outside and the tank contributed greatly to that - but she still found herself expecting more. This was the group that caused Newnanites to refuse to cross an arbitrary line to avoid encounters with them - the group that Ryan had literally escaped from. "They have to be holding up somewhere..." Beatrice said quietly to Lola. They hadn't covered the entire first floor yet and her gut was telling her to expect a clump of Edenites around any corner. Or perhaps they were on a higher story, waiting to pick them off one by one from a staircase.

Jack Hudson

Location: Arnco Mills Safehouse (E10)
Skills: N/A

Jack and Niesha carefully entered the house together, with Jack recalling where the supplies would be hidden due to his status as a lead. It was one small comfort - when (more realistically if...) Tatiana was headed to one of the bug out points, she'd know where all of the supplies would be hidden. Other members of Newnan may not know where to look for them. He didn't relish that fact - he just took comfort in the one small aid to Tatiana's survival. He'd move heaven and earth for her if he could. "Should be undah the floor," Jack whispered to Niesha. He scanned the area quickly before pulling up the boards.

They were in luck. He found some MREs, water filters, water bottles, extended first aide kit, two bug out bags, and some sleeping bags. He pulled them all out and started passing things to Niesha, that way they could get a good idea of their inventory. Once the cache was cleared out, Jack replaced the floor boards quietly. Everything seemed pretty worn out, potentially due to age or just use, but they'd do the trick. He then heard Ash's request for a light, but they didn't have any flash lights in the inventory. Luckily, it seemed Riley was on it.

"Got a decent inventory," Jack said quietly, as he and Niesha brought the supplies they'd found over to the others.

Emanuel "Manny" Newman

Location: A damn cage within Eden
Skills: Fast Reflexes, Pistols, Hand to hand,

The gunfire has been going for a while, after the initial shock not much phased him for it until the explosion came. That woke him up. Had someone come to rescue them? Or maybe just came here to wipe out the people of Eden. Either way, seeing as how the gunfire was continuing it meant it could be an opening for Manny. There were three armed assailants in the room with him and what was left of the other prisoners. The closest one Manny noticed still wore the .357 Manny had carried only a few days ago. He wondered if it still only had 4 bullets in it or if it was fully loaded. Granted, this was not a good room for a gunfight. he was in a small cage in the corner of an open room. And even six bullets would only go so far, even if there were only three of them. If he missed he would be screwed. Though, if he could grab the one with the gun, that would reduce his targets to two instead of three, and give him a shield, he wasn't as strong as he used to be though, so trying that could cause issues.

Manny considered his options, and he didn't like most of them. He could wait but with only one door in and three people to watch it, breaching it would be impossible, and the chances of him getting hit were high as well. But as he thought, he didn't need to kill them all, he just needed them to not be shooting at him yet. He looked at the three again, the one with his gun, and closest, was pacing in angst back and forward. There was one by the door keeping an eye out for when the invaders came upstairs. The last didn't seem to have a care in the world as they attempted to clean and put together a rifle. He inspected the closest one again, the revolver was in a holster, but there was no strap to it to prevent Manny from taking it.

While the person with Manny's gun paced, a few times he had gotten close to the cage, not close enough to grab the gun. On the next pass Manny got the pacer's attention, he was still nervous so more likely to be aggressive and stupid. "You hear the shooting right? It's all over the place and getting closer. You and your friends are going to pay for everything you have done. You will all likely be executed with a noose, and left hanging until the birds peck away at your eyes. If you are lucky they won't torture you first to figure out where the survivors might run too." The guard was pissed, but not gun drawing pissed yet. "Shut up asshole." He was close though. "You have no power now, the moment they come through those doors and see me dead they will only want to hurt you more." Now he saw the guard's arm reach for the gun.

Manny noticed a few things, one, he couldn't tell how well the grip was on the gun. Meaning if he grabbed it he had no idea if he would take it or pull the guard with it. What worked in Manny's favor was the fact that the hammer didn't start getting pulled back until the guard was getting ready to take aim. As the gun started to point at Manny he made a grab for the barrel, and the guard pulled back, still gripping the gun hard. Enough so that Manny was able to use his own weight to pull him into the bars and stun him, lessening the grip on the custom wooden handle, so Manny had it ready to aim in a relatively quick time. He turned putting the gun in his dominant hand and taking aim while pulling the hammer back on the gun.

He fired first at the guard cleaning his rifle, first shot missing, second shot just below the neck. He dropped to the floor hoping that if the guard by the door started shooting he would be safe behind the cover of his semi awake ally. He took aim again firing just above the head of the semi awake guard, this shot missed but he didn't need to kill this one, he just needed to scare them off into the hallway for someone else to deal with. If he didn't run Manny would fire again. After that Manny would point to the down guard and aim at his face with a little distance. "You move and I will kill you." he would in this case, though he hated the idea of doing this, especially with how much pain he was feeling from dropping like he did. He also hated the idea of how many bullets he had to work with. But he only needed to hold out long enough so that the invaders could take control.
